Pete and Noah did an excellent job. I have worked with several plumbers in the Chicago area over the last few years and these two were by far the best. They were efficient, thorough, and explained all of the considerations. We plan to only work with Pete and Noah in the future.

Well the plumber was a good technician. The company charges a fee to come out to diagnose the issue: $89. That was to be credited to the job once determined and priced. I needed a new wax ring on a toilet. Material cost less that $15 and last time I did it the job took one hour. I wanted to hire it this time. I waited a week for them to come. The first quote was $475 (they didn't credit the trip charge). When I reminded them of what we agreed, the new price was $381. Allowing for $25 in materials and 1.3 hours labor (high side of what the plumber estimated and I know from experience) the labor worked out to be $275 per hour. They are a union shop. Understood. But that charge was still too much. Then they gave me a discount price of $361. I offered $325 figuring I had to pay the $89, then get a new plumber for maybe $225 or less. They wouldn't budge. I agreed to get it done. I then called around and got Sullivans Plumbing, Berwyn. They estimated replacing a wax ring at $185 all in and they could come the next day. But, by that time these guys had pulled the toilet (less than 10 minutes, by the way). I just want to say, though the plumber was capable, the company is not one you would deal with for value. Recap: job took less than one hour. Replaced one wax ring and 2 bolts (on the closet collar). Estimated material costs (ring $3.99 at ACE Hardware, bolts $0.60). Price $367.64. Labor rate $362.45/hour.

(Harold2004) did a great job on our hot water heater. He explained the problem and fixed it right away. Roto-rooter was able to have him come out within 4 hours. They were upfront about the cost. While they may be not be the cheapest they came out fast and fixed the problem quickly.

We have used Vanguard several times for a variety of plumbing jobs and they have always done a perfect job. They are absolutely trustworthy-for knowing what they are doing and for upfront pricing without surprises.
Jan always amazes me how he can precisely tell beforehand, from a couple of pictures you email him, what needs to be done and how much it will cost.

George is personable and a perfectionist at anything he does. They often bring, with your permission, one apprentice to the job. This tells you they are good enough to be recognized as teachers on their trade.

Apex is my go to plumbing company. Chas was here to fix a shower for us. He is polite, efficient and so capable. He quickly diagnosed the issue and had it resolved for us right away. I will always call Apex for plumbing issues and would recommend them to anyone!

I highly recommend Rescue Plumbing. Had an issue with my shower valve cartridge and they sent out Pete Ismail and his son (who’s apprenticing). They showed up early, tag teamed the job, did great work and fixed the problem. I’ve used rescue before and they were great. Highly recommend them and specifically recommend Pete and Noah.

I don't understand how anyone can give Mike's Plumbing a negative review; I just had Mike's Plumbing do a big drainage job at my house and it was a great experience. Mike provided a long lasting solution, not just a quick fix; Mike was very nice and respectful throughout the process, explaining his thinking in a very thorough and logical manner, and his price was very fair; Mike and his team also have a very strong work ethic; Mike is smart, affordable, quality, and hard working; I highly recommend Mike's Plumbing for all your plumbing and drainage needs; you will not be disappointed; trust Mike and trust his process; he is a professional plumber, you and I are not.

Over the course of several visits due to a misbehaving tankless water heater (domestic water and radiant heat combo boiler) Sam was, impressively, always on time. Correctly diagnosed a faulty part, ordered and replaced same (fixing domestic hot water issue) and also diagnosed bad radiant heat circulation pump. But first Sam brought in a capable electrician to test connections and switches on pump’s circuit which led to discovery that power to the circuit had been disconnected at the main electrical service panel. Sam’s electrician fished new wires to a new dedicated circuit breaker and cleaned up a bad switch. Now, with power connection confirmed, Sam could conclusively determine the pump was out of order and replaced the pump swiftly. Problems solved: I have unlimited hot water and my basement floors are warm again. Sam knows plumbing and did an excellent job for me. I will not hesitate to call him in the future with any and all plumbing issues.

Jeff and his team are awesome. Everyone is professional, polite, easily available and thorough. I had two services completed recently. Both turned out great. A good value. Expert service and advice saved me money and time. I will definitely only use The Plumbing Department for my projects! Neil and Gary were exceptional.

Outstanding! First time we encountered a clogged sewage or sewer. We called the company and in an hour Daniel came. Did a good job, He did not stop until He fixed the problem. We found out a lot of root trees in our pipes causing the clogged. Almost 2 hours working on it. I salute Him! Very hard working person. Thank you so much for all you've done.
