We had a leaking toilet on our second floor which was leaking into the kitchen ceiling below. We had Matt, technician #1553, come out and he did a great job assessing the issue and making recommendations. He was able to repair the toilet in about 30 minutes. The only reason I took off a star was because of the cost. But I suppose, you get what you pay for which is prompt, quality service.

I chose Vanguard because they were located near me and had been in business for over a decade. I emailed a photo with my (non-emergency) issue and they replied to me first thing next day to get more details. They weren’t able to come out right away, but I take that as a good sign when a plumber is busy enough with work to not be immediately available. I wanted to pay a professional to get the job done correctly, the first time, and was willing to accept what that kind of work costs. I emailed on Tuesday night and by Thursday morning Jan was able to come out (earlier than anticipated) and solved my issue within an hour. Jan had the right tools, replacement parts, and even took the time to educate me about some valves on my water heater in my new-to-me condo. He was professional and friendly. I can highly recommend Vanguard Plumbing!

Jesus came out a few months ago to find out what was wrong with our sewer line. We had back ups and there was a large tree root which blocked the sewer line. We had catastrophic flooding in our basement. He dug up the basement and fixed the problem. No more odor, no more flooding. We now have his crew fixing our sink. I would recommend his wholeheartedly.

We used First Chicago to replace the corroded and clogged galvanized pipes in our building with copper, install a whole house filter, and install a new water heater. It was a great experience. Eugene was very communicative and I appreciated that he walked me through the process and was very clear with expectations and the schedule of work. Would definitely recommend!

Came out to do annual maintenance on my hot water boiler. Hard to find many companies that service residential home boilers. They were knowledgeable and professional. They also answered all my questions. I felt the cost for the service was appropriate and honest.

Pete and Noah were fantastic to work with. They arrived on time and were very communicative. They explained the issue with our shower and, despite the difficulty in getting parts for the random European model, had it fixed in just a few days! Two other plumbers had given us the runaround or ghosted us, so Pete and Noah’s work at Rescue Plumbing really stood out as phenomenal. Highly recommend!

Terrible, unethical, and dishonest business. Hired them to repair a leaky toilet. They inspected and gave me a quote and began work. 20 minutes later they called me to check out the toilet and said it was broken, with hairline cracks at the base of the toilet. There were no cracks prior to their working on it. Owner refused to replace the toilet or resolve the issue. Do not engage with this business.
