After getting involved with our parents bathroom remodel (elderly and deaf) we came to realize they were gauged and taken advantage of by JB&P. It has got to the point where we have now involved the states attorney.
First - they charged $13000 dollars to cover only a handful of items (other plumbing company came and quoted 6-7000) and only had provided our parents a statement of work for 817$. We went back and fourth with them to try and get additional statements to see where all the charges were but ended up hanging up on us after they originally said they would provide. Luckily our parents took pictures of everything so we could deduce at least most of what they did.
Second - Some of the work they did was Not even up to code and may lead to back flow and potential flooding within the walls (we will have to pay another company to fix that mistake)
Third - they had to come out additional times to fix the hot water flow to the shower and part of that involved cutting open the new wall that was finished. They then left the wall damaged and did not cover or send another company to fix the wall they had to cut open.
As others mentioned this company is extremely overpriced and In this case we feel our parents were taken advantage of.
EDIT : Again - the owner is saying our parents did not mention any dissatisfaction. They are quite unhappy the Wall was cut open to fix a plumbing issue and not repaired (your mistake you should cover it). Yes the remainder of the plumbing work does work (except not up to code) but the sink and shower both work as intended. There is no mixup on services provided and the review is strictly based on the plumbing services provided that we paid 13,000 dollars for and got a statement for 800 of (what did you charge 13,000 for?!). Not sure what they consider a threat as the only thing we asked for was please provide detailed statements (to prove no gouging) or we will involve an attorney.

Very friendly and efficient service. We just painted the bathroom walls and I was worried that they would get stained but the plumber was very mindful of the situation and left the entire bathroom as clean when he left as it was when he came.

We had a weird situation where hot water was coming out of our cold taps. After getting estimates from a few places, we went with Jan at Vanguard because he knew what he was talking about. He diagnosed the problem with a few possibilities and thoroughly explained what might be happening. I appreciated his transparency, admitting that there could be several possibilities that he wouldn't know for sure until he got in there; a lot of other plumbers were quick to assess without a thorough examination.
Jan was also very diligent when he started his job. Over the course of a few hours, he checked on all our fixtures to make sure the situation wasn't stemming from one of the mix valves. And he set out on the work that was scoped, finishing in time for us to have guests over and restore our water flow. Excellent work.

Been working with Chuck and Chas for over 15 years. Recently called them for an emergency backed up sewer. They were quick to answer and come out. While it wasn’t an easy job they sure knew what they were doing. One week later my water heater died and they came out to save the day. I’m so happy I came across Apex Plumbing. I’ve recommended them to my neighbors who are happy with them too. Apex Plumbing & Sewer - the preferred plumbing company for the Lakeview area!

Henry hands-down exemplifies true 24/7 service. When my ejector pump was malfunctioning at 1am, he answered the phone! He took his time walking me through temporary mitigation steps for my situation so I can go to bed in peace. The next morning, he showed up and patiently explained the situation and solution before getting to work on replacing the pump switch and check valve. I received a fair price for his time, no price gouging like many other companies tend to do when someone is in urgent need of service. Thank you Henry, I'm going to be a repeat client!

The most professional and knowledgeable plumbers I have worked with over many years in property management. These guys work fast, and the work site will be left as clean or cleaner than it was prior to the work being done. You'll understand why this company has been in business for over 100 year after you've used them.

I highly recommend Zuniga's Plumbing. Walter is very knowledgeable and cooperative and helped me with many issues from minor repairs to updating the plumbing on a gut rehab and working with the city to fix sewer issues. I had a previous plumber cause so much damage and Walter was able to come in and fix his mistakes. Zuniga's is the real deal:)

THIS IS A LONG REVIEW FROM A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!!
The company was referred to by a family friend. I had been searching for a plumber for months and the ones who actually gave me a quote it landed in the thousands. I was so distressed until I received a call back from the owner, Mr. Burris! I explained to him what my problem was and immediately he said, Ma'am you have a clogged drained but I needed to explain further because the other quotes indicated that I possibly had roots issues, collapse drains and the list went on. Mr. Burris continued to listen to me and again repeated himself, Ma'am you have a clogged drain.
He quoted me a price and scheduled a visit! Fast forward to the day of service---I greeted him at the gate and showed him the huge basin thingy in my front yard (I just couldn't believe that it was as simple as a clogged drain). He smiled and asked me to direct him to the basement (oh by the way, that's where the issue was), he completed his assessment, retrieved his tools and began to---You guessed it, unclog the drain!!!! I was dumbfounded!!!!!
But here where, I will not only highly recommend him to anyone but promote his business on my social media pages! The floor under the toilet wasn't even so to compensate he installed 2 ring waxes at no additional charge! He wanted to insure me that it wouldn't leak and it wouldn't rock! Now that's REAL consumer service! Mr. Burris' skill and knowledge is phenomenal! He is a master at his craft! Hear me no one else will service my home for heating, cooling and plumbing! His prices are affordable! For me and my household, We are TEAM Burris & Sons!!!!

Can't say enough good things about the experience. Had an ejector pump that failed after hours. I called Loves Plumbing and Sewer and John Love (owner which was unbeknownst to me at the time) answered the phone, was patient with my questions, and highly knowledgeable in his responses. John came out early the next morning, fixed the problem and walked me through the work being performed. Thanks John for all the help and will be using you for all of our plumbing and sewer needs going forward.

I thought working with Apex was the best option after reading all the positive reviews, but that was a costly mistake. I called them for two things, to fix a leaky gas shut off valve to our furnace and to install a flue pipe from our water heater out to our chimney
The technician said he couldn't fix the shut off valve and had to use a new one, which was fine. It was a small part and the cost was more than I had expected but I went along with it. The flue pipe is the project that infuriates me more. He said he could do the project and gave me a quote of almost $800. (I'm just going to round up) I thought that would include a liner that would go up our chimney in order to properly ventilate out. He went out to buy more material, came back, and got to work. I gave him his space to work and didn't supervise.
Once he left and I inspected the work, I had instant regret. I had paid for something that looked like a handyman job and did not look professional at all but at least we were safe from inhaling any exhaust.
Today, I had another professional company come out to install a new water heater. They informed me that there is no properly installed liner and that all the exhaust is traveling up and has nowhere to go but to come back down. We have to properly have the chimney lined and then they can install the new tank. So now, I will have to undo the work that the APEX technician did and have it done right. I'm especially infuriated because this is a safety issue. We've been inhaling exhaust for the past three months without even knowing it! I would seriously consider using another company when it comes to issues with furnace and water heaters.
In response to Apex support’s comment:
“Apex took you out of your dangerous situation and can not be responsible for the condition of your water heater or chimney.”
Connecting a flue pipe to an unlined chimney is not fixing a problem and does not take us out of a dangerous situation. Also, I did not blame Apex for the condition of my water heater or our chimney, my comment is about the work itself and service.
Had the technician recommended for me to have our chimney lined first, I would have done that considering it was October and the weather was more suitable for that type of work. Instead your technician had no qualms about moving forward, charged us an inexcusable amount of close to $800 to add a flue pipe to an unlined chimney, which does nothing to fix our problem. (photo attached)
He also said our water heater was a 20 gallon heater and gave me the impression that it was in worse condition than it is. He also said he could install a new water heater (apparently he thought it was OK to install a new heater without a liner) but I had my misgivings about having any additional work done.
Our water heater is actually a 40 gallon, and the new technician Im working with assured me that while our heater is old, it’s a good brand and will fortunately last until we do the proper repairs to our chimney. His words were more or less, if you’re going to do the job, let’s make sure we’re doing it right.
In addition, I would have much rather preferred a phone call or direct message to discuss the matter instead of posting this response publicly, but your customer support decided to follow up on this post instead. Considering that I sent a message directly to your website with my contact info, I find the handling of this unprofessional and will not be recommending your company.

While I was out of town, my water heater stopped. I needed someone to come in quick and fix it so my family had hot water. Sam was the man. He came earlier than expected as well. He was knowledgeable and straight forward. He even noted that our heater still had warranty, which was a relief. Thank you, Sam.
