Edit: B. Carlson reached out to me to correct most of the issues in my original review. Turns out they were mostly due to communication issues between a newer staff member and myself. While I am unlikely to use them at this point as they have been by far the most expensive quote I have gotten, I have amended my review to remove some of the more egregious issues.

Do not hire these guys for water heater problems! The tech they sent out came in and took 5 minutes to tell me that the water heater would need to be replaced (no problem, its old, it happens). He then did not give me any kind of estimate on what it would cost to replace the unit, and stood around waiting for half an hour for instructions from the home office that never came. Over a day later, I was contacted with an estimate, but in the end it was not really competitive.

They may be good for AC/Heat, but they are not worth your time for water heaters.

I am so happy to have found this company! Mark was so knowledgeable and professional. After my meter was pulled for a possible leak, Mark and his assistant took care of the red tag items on my water heater and furnace and got them up to code. His diligence also found a leak that he addressed immediately. He made a stressful situation bearable by coordinating efficiently with the City by getting the permits for a successful inspection. Excellent work. No doubt saved us a bundle of money and grief over what would have happened if I tried to do the work myself, or had a less qualified plumber do the work.

I called about 10 plumbers in the Albuquerque area to help me disconnect the clothes washer when the shutoff valve didn’t work. If the movers had left before tge washer was disconnected, it would have cost hundreds of dollars to get a hitch, rent a uhaul and take the washer out of state. Wagner was the only one who was able to respond to us within a short amount of time. Barney was wonderful and responded quickly and efficient. Couldn’t have been better. Thank you so much. I couldn’t be more grateful.

I called Valdez on Monday morning and left my number. I got a return call within 30 minutes. I explained that my bathroom sink was not draining. He said someone would be out between 9 am (the time I called) and 12:30. Diego and his son arrived at 10:20. Turned out it was not a major problem and they cleared the drain in about 5 minutes. They showed me how to check the sink stopper. The cost for a new customer is $85 per hour. I was happy to pay that as I felt they were honest. I recommend them highly. They also do cooling and heating.

Air one is wonderful. Their staff is punctual, professional, knowledgeable and very efficient. The project went very smooth and we love our new air conditioner and water heater.
