We had an emergency situation at 0630 AM.. Our water was not running and we had a huge leak from the water softener. We had a plumber at our house within 20 minutes of calling. Other places told us they wouldn't be available until after 5:00 PM/ Bob was experienced, efficient, and professional. Everything was fixed within 30 minutes. Not to mention other places wanted to charge us $169 just to come out. We only paid $162 for everything and we had running water again. Highly recommend Affordable Plumbing.

We recently called Affordable Service because of a septic system backup. They called within 5 min and came right over, found roots, treated them & gave instructions for followup.Unfortunately for us, we had another backup within 2 weeks, called them again, and they came promptly. Sewer pipe, very old, had collapsed, needed to be replaced from house to sewer connection at street. The began very next day, had the job done within 24 hrs, then came the next morning to clean up.Very pleased with their promptness, courtesy, and followup. Yes, it was expensive, but less than other companies' approximates quotes. Wouldn't hesitate to call them again if needed.

Tony was here today and went above and beyond our expectations to ensure our satisfaction. I don't see us ever going to any other company in the future. Our swamp cooler is humming away happily on the roof and we are breathing a nice cool sigh of relief! Highly recommend these folks and especially Tony!

Excellent service providing fast replacement of an outside faucet.

The plumber was great. Good attitude, treated me with respect and offered options. I would give him 5 stars. He is the reason I will use his company for a refrigerated air problem. However, the price set by his company was pretty steep for changing out a valve. It only took 30 minutes and the price was close to $250.

Tony was on it. As fellow Vet, I appreciated his honesty and his war stories as well. Very knowledgeable. He educated us on the dos and don'ts to maintain the drain. Tony also corrected sink/drain pipe alignment.

Over the years we have had problems with our air conditioning system. The owner of Affordable has been generous with warranties and labor, fixing/replacing what needs to be done. I consider Affordable to be professional and reputable, planning on doing business with them when the time comes for an entire new unit.

Another great job from the Affordable crew. My water heater went out on Wednesday and was replaced by 11;30 am the next morning. Travis exchanged my hot water heater efficiently and did a great job. Everything looks great and the finish work was stellar. Kevin had given me an estimate over 6 months ago on the project and still kept the job at the originally quoted cost though I certainly did not expect it. These guys are my GO TO!!

Poor follow thru with quote. Called to ask for quote for conversion from swamp cooler to refrigerated air. General manager came to assess and seemed attentive. Promised quote by morning. Morning came and went. Still waiting for quote almost 3 weeks later. Called to see why no quote...no return call. Doesn't seem like they are interested in business. Red flags for maybe how their service will be??? Buyer beware!

Tony was very through. He explained what he did and why it needed doing. He told me what to expect in the future. I was impressed wih his professionalism.

Chris from Affordable came out after hours to fix a leak in my water main. He did what he could that night and came back the next day with help to ensure the job was done. He worked hard and professionally completing the work even though the job grew in size after digging up the water main. Overall really good job and I will be using them again.

I received very good customer service, from the time I called in the request to fixing my problem . All employees were courteous and punctual. I have had several problems corrected over the last two years, by Affordable, and each service call has been very satisfactory.

Unfortunately I was not even able to meet an employee which by the reviews listed above would have probably been great. The answering service was horrible. The girl was rude and unprofessional. She said she was not in the office she was only the answering service so she could not give me any estimate. I asked her to have a tech call me and she said she could only dispatch someone to my house not have them call me. She told me that it would be at least time and a half because it was a weekend which I understood. then she said that December 30th is considered a holiday and said it would probably be more since I was having them come out on their holiday weekend. I didn’t even schedule an appointment. It’s terrible when the first person you meet associated to a company is so rude

I called with a plumbing emergency. I'm in the process of getting my house ready to sell and a leak was discovered from one of the laundry room faucets. The man I talked with in the office was courteous and they were able to send a plumber out within the hour. The plumber (I am sorry but I can't remember their names) called with the estimate and got my approval to go ahead. Then he called when the job was completed and I was able to pay by phone. Easy preezy! I would totally recommend this company. Thank you guys for your response and your friendliness in what was a stressful situation!

Daniel with Affordable did a good and professional job. Him and his helper were very professional.

Kevin and Story showed up on time and ready to work. The job was to tear down a jury-rigged return box and replace it with a properly constructed one. Since the original installation had employed some “creative” solutions, the two technicians needed to untangle those knots before replacing the box. Despite the challenges, they completed their work in the estimated time and installed a return box that will improve air flow, air quality and reduce noise. I’d recommend this team to anyone.

Affordable came for an estimate. Said they would get me an email with a quote the next day. Nothing….had to call and they said they would come out the next morning. I called off work and they never showed. Had to call again and got the run around. Finally at 3pm that day called again as they said they would call and did not. Said they could not do the job. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I recently had a water heart burst. The damage was extensive. I called Affordable and explained the situation. My insurance is involved and I said Will this be a free estimate to diagnose if there was damage done to my furnace, The lady explained it was was FREE, no charge. The would send someone out. On the day of the appoiment I called to verify the time and to be sure their would be no charge. Ron explained there would be a fee, of $69.00. To diagnose. I said the lady never said that. She said it was free. Being on a limited income I asked vehemently if their would be a fee and was told no fee. I feel that may be Affordable, but weren't Honest. Im very disapointed because I've used them before, for a different reason, and I no longer will.. Make sure you clarify or you'll be charged. I spoke to Kevin the operations manager, he offered to have them turn it on for free, but not diagnose without paying the fee. I said I can do that, I need a diagnosis for damage. Which I was told was free!! He was short with me and seemed irritated. I guess Your company isn't into customer service, or being Honest up front.

After I left an emergency call the technician arrived within 20 min and had the problem diagnosed and fixed within the hour. I put their phone number on my speed dial...excellent job, Robert!

Seems like they really didn't do anything or try to do anything to fix my issue but were quick to take my money. Was not affordable. Almost $500 to not fix my problem. And the price kept going up. I would not recommend them to anyone

For the second year in a row, Rudy from Affordable Service performed my spring change over from heating to cooling. On both occasions he had done an outstanding job. He is a polite professional young man who takes pride in his work and ensures the job is done right. I will continue to use Affordable Service in the future.

I called Affordable Service to check our air conditioning. I told them that the furnace is running but the condenser outside is not going. Affordable Service sent technician Jeffrey Lant to check it out. He found out that the leak repair that was done last August 2022 by them is leaking again and it still under warranty parts and labor. Jeffrey L. is getting paid through commission not hourly so he will repair the leak, test the pressure and recharged the system with refrigerant with no charge since that the work that he is doing is still under warranty. Even though that he is not getting paid for the work that he is currently doing , he still performed the work professionally, friendly and did all the repair and the diagnostics test excellently without showing any attitude of him for not getting anything for the work. Affordable Service is very lucky to have a technician like Jeffrey Lant. Thank you Jeffery L. for making our home cool again and a job well done.

Joe and his team installed our Carrier heating/AC unit in a day. All of them were friendly, answering questions and providing instruction and advice on the new system. They left the space near-spotless. We cannot praise their professionalism and their friendliness highly enough. They were great!

We got a much better price here than the other local company we met with - at least 30% less than the other guys quoted for a more efficient unit. (we converted to AC). Service was prompt and Joe was very professional getting everything installed quickly. Definitely highly recommend if you're looking for AC or heating services.

I have used Kurt Hill as my plumber for the last 4 major plumbing related complications in my house, a new faucet, installing a dishwasher, fixing a water heater, and fixing my furnace. I strongly advise against hiring Affordable Service. Do not let them onto your property. We hired them to replace our hot water heater in our home in Rio Rancho, NM. The technician had an accident that caused costly damage to our home. Ok, every company will suffer an occasional accident. We expect any reputable company to resolve such a situation, so we remained calm when they accidentally started a house fire. Unfortunately, we chose the one company that will NOT clean up their accidents! They caused thousands of dollars of fire/smoke damage to our home, have thus far refused to fix it, AND they expected us to pay full price for this service.The damage: A wall of our house was set on fire during the installation. The hot water heater is next to the air conditioner intake, so the entire house was quickly filled with smoke. The technician cut a hole in the drywall and to quickly extinguish the burning insulation. However, the smoke was so thick that we had to spend the rest of the day outside and eat out for dinner. It would turn out that our home needed professional smoke treatment, for which Affordable Service refused to take proper responsibility. Keep reading for the details, or else just go choose a different company to hire.The rest of the story: The house still reeked of smoke by bedtime, so we resolved to sleep in our smallest bedroom with our two Austin air filters running. The company did at this point offer to put us up in a hotel that first night. The next day the owner’s daughter, Leah, came to assess the damage. As soon as she entered the house, she acknowledged that it smelled like smoke. She surveyed the damage and suggested patching up the hole that had been cut in the wall to extinguish the burning insulation and cleaning the ash out of the air ducts. We let her send someone to clean the air ducts, but this did not remedy the smoke smell. Keep in mind that for the first couple of days we had sore throats and burning eyes from occupying a smoky home. We decided to hire a smoke expert to tell us what was up. His consultation cost us $200. The smoke expert said that the burned material in the wall and around the air conditioning intake needed to be replaced, THEN the ducts cleaned out (as ash was continually being sucked into the air ducts - so Affordable Service’s air duct cleaning proved useless, as they are not fire experts), and then we would need to vacate the home for at least 24 hours and have it filled with ozone and hydroxyl to get rid of the smoke smell. This fire damage treatment would cost more than $3,000. We sent the estimate to Leah. To make the rest of this story short, after weeks of wishy-washy emails with Affordable Service, it was clear that they were reluctant to hire a smoke expert to repair the damage they had caused. In addition to refusing to remedy the damage, they also wanted US to pay the rest of our original bill (we paid 50% up front), and leave it at that!My husband finally sent a blunt list of what we expected from Affordable Service. (We had been expecting them to come to US with a similar offer of resolution – wouldn’t you if a company accidentally set your home on fire? - but we were shocked when they did not). We told them that we expected them to pay to have a professional repair the damage to our home, finish inspecting/certifying the hot water heater that they had installed, replace our air filters that were full of smoke/ash, and – let’s be real – reimburse us somehow for the suffering and inconvenience of living in a smoke-damaged home for weeks, perhaps by offering an extended warranty on the hot water heater and/or giving us the darn thing for free or at a discount. Affordable refused and said they would turn the case over to their insurance. Six months later we have yet to hear another word from them.Please do not invite Affordable Service onto your property. They will NOT take responsibility for any mistakes they may make. They will expect you to pay for it.

My heater went out last week and Eric came out. Eric was good, but the part which was ordered was going to take 5 days to come in. This morning I was called by Eric because the part was not shipped. I immediately requested his supervisor call me. I was called by the supervisor Kevin, and he was extremely rude and did not care about my situation. I tried to tell him we could not wait any longer because it has been the coldest days in NM and I have a pregnant wife and toddler. Kevin cut me off multiple times saying he understands my situation. Kevin was condescending and acted like I was inconveniencing him. Kevin told me the part was coming from Denver and could not be purchased in NM.I told him I wanted a refund and he hung up on me. I did my own research and found two companies (One in Rio Rancho, and one in Albuquerque) who have this particular part available. Extremely rude, unprofessional, and most of all uncaring. If your family and home are a priority DO NOT go with this company. I will never go with this company again and will steer potential customers away from this awful company.ZERO STARS!

Affordable?! I’m shocked at the price of $163.00 for a service man coming to light the pilot of my fireplace and clean the lint out, wow! I was told when I called to schedule the appointment that there was a service fee of $69.99 and if I allowed the service to be done that would be waived. With a service fee being waived and still having to pay $163.00, that is definitely not standing up to your name of “affordable”!! One thing I can say is that the service man was very professional and customer service was outstanding. I’m disappointed in the price I had to pay.

He made repairs to exhaust piping that were leaking, cleaned drain lines, improved blower performance by checking wiring on control circuitry, adjusted gas line inlet pressure. My air conditioner stopped working 🌡🔥🙁I called on a Wednesday and they had availability the next day! Unfortunately I wasn't available until Friday. Service technician Daniel G. came out and got my conditioner working again!! 😁❄⛄Daniel explained everything to me before, during and afterwards. I now have a better understanding of how my unit works, and telltale signs on when I should be concerned. Thank you Daniel for your all your help. I'll definitely be using your services in future!

I had a Noritz tankless on demand water heater installed in my home when it was constructed five years ago. Wouldn't you know it, a month after the expiration of the warranty, the unit began giving me problems. I called Affordable Service in Rio Rancho, NM to get a technician take a look at the water heater to determine what it was going to take to fix. Kurt Hill was dispatched and I found him very helpful and professional. After trying several things to correct the problem he took an additional step by calling Noritz Company. Customer service for Noritz was not helpful and was difficult to work with. Kurt Hill concluded the problem could possibly be a simple fix by replacing a small inexpensive part. He called a local plumbing supply store and discussed the problem of the water heater with a consultant with knowledge of several different manufactures and concluded a new part might be the solution to my problem. Kurt Hill told me if the part did not work he would recommend replacing the Noritz unit with a Navien unit. He showed me the simple procedure for removing the thought to be defective part and told me he would be happy to remove and replace the part but would have to charge me the cost for going to the plumbing supply store and installing it which I could do myself if I wanted to to save on the service call. I decided to change over the part myself to save some money on the diagnostic and service call. I told the parts supply store my situation and concluded the diagnosis from Kurt Hill and agreed that if the part I was buying did not work the Navien water heater Kurt Hill recommended was a very good unit and highly recommended. Long story short, the part did not work and Noritz company was worthless in helping. I made the decision to purchase a Navien NPE-A water heater and requested Kurt Hill to do the installation. Kurt Hill returned a couple of days later and performed the installation. Because of the new purchase, Kurt credited my new installation by deducting the previous service/diagnostic service call, which saved me a little on the new installation. I expressed my concerns about how the plumbing would be set up so I could easily perform the yearly maintenance myself (flushing the system). Kurt told me he would have it all looking real nice and easily to maintain. When removing the Noritz unit, Kurt found that the old unit was only attached to the wall by one screw. He told me even though that screw could hold up 300 lbs. he went ahead and set up the unit with multiple attachments which made the installation very secure. He took the time to review the unit with me and all the features. He answered all my questions and was very patient with me. If I ever need any future plumbing needs, I will ask for Kurt Hill to perform the work.

My swamp cooler quit working over July 4th weekend and Anthony came out slightly earlier than our appointment on the following Wednesday. He found the problem and got it fixed and my place is already cooling nicely!He gave me some handy tips on running a swamp cooler and about other services offered by Affordable, such as duct cleaning and combining spring and fall services for a better price. Motor, the two men diagnosed problem in no time at all, went to shop returned with new motor again fast service. Installed, tested and went on their way, professional, fast and courteous! I appreciate that the company took responsibility and was fair with me. 5 stars ⭐️ thanksHad them come fix a leaking reverse osmosis faucet they installed a month ago. Note that we already paid well over a thousand dollars for them to install that and a water softener. There was apparently bacteria built up in the hose. They were here for 10 minutes. Shoved a screw driver in the hose to clear it then charged us another $182. Not exactly “affordable.” We’ll be calling someone else next time.

Affordable Service repaired a leaking toilet at my house. The Tech sent to my house was professional, thorough and did a great job. I had some questions about my service and the business owner went above and beyond in providing answers. Even though my service call was just a small plumbing repair, I was treated like a valuable customer to Affordable Service. I greatly appreciate that.

My AC was not working very well. I called Affordable Service and they were able to send someone the very next day. Bill arrived before the time scheduled. Right away he explained the cost for troubleshooting. He was able to figure out the problem right away and provide options. As he was troubleshooting the compressor, he explained everything he was doing and what his testing equipment was reading and what the normal reading should be. I learned so much about my AC in 10 minutes and understood everything. Horrible service. I have a hvac unit and my capacitor went out. First he lied and said I’m not under warranty and lied about the price of capacitor. Like people don’t do research he charged $350 for a $35 part. Modern day robbery

Last night I was cleaning up in the kitchen and the faucet just fell apart in my hands. I called Affordable Service Inc. at 8:00 this morning and Kurt showed up at 10:00am. Within minutes Kurt was able to diagnose the problem and fix everything. Customer Service just does not get any better.

We've now had occasion to use Affordable several times, from routing swamp cooler annual maintenance, to taking on a pretty big HVAC job, to just now working on some plumbing issues. Affordable is NOT the cheapest around. If money is you only object, keep looking. BUT, if you want a staff that takes your call quickly, finds you an appointment in a reasonable timeframe, and then the folks show up on time, and are friendly, thorough and professional, then this is where to go. Signed up for their swamp cooler startup/shut down contract earlier this year. Unable to get anyone out to turn on the heat for over 2 weeks with a toddler and a pregnant wife. They advised we cannot get a refund on at least half of the contract we paid upfront so that we can see if we can get another company out sooner since it's pretty cold. So, I'll have to just take the loss if I can get someone out sooner. Will definitely not be looking into signing up for another one with them if it means I can't even get my heat turned on until almost NOVEMBER. Ridiculous.

I've had Kevin and 1 of his associates service our 7 hvac units for a few years now and has always sat with me to explain the process and the outcome of the service each year.

I live in a newer subdivision in Bernalillo called Santiago Estancia. I made a call to the city because the water pressure was inconsistent going high and low. The city manager said that each home has a Pressure reducing valve and they need to be replaced often because of debris and to check with a plumber to confirm.I called Affordable Plumbing Service in Rio Rancho and confirmed that it was indeed the pressure reducing valve . The plumber was very nice and with a smile said it would cost $600-$800 to replace the valve, I called the owner of the company and he made every excuse in the book why the cost is $800 for a $69.99 part. We ended up paying them $69.98 for the service call.Of course anyone else would've just paid the $800 and walked away, but I had already done Internet research and found out how much the part was $69.98 at Home Depot. I guess what upsets me is that if I did not have Internet access, or if I was a senior citizen I would've been taken advantage of.I ended up ordering the part from Home Depot, the pressure reducing valve's is behind the washing machine and the tag was still on it so I had the model number. I called another plumbing company locally and told them I ordered the part, they said that they would charge $125 to install it.Shame on you Affordable Plumbing!!!!Teresa

Affordable Service worked on our A/C. In the hottest part of the Summer, they were able to send a tech out the next morning. Problem was diagnosed and fortunately it was a problem that could be resolved without waiting a week on parts. Tech (Lukas) with his trainee returned in the next morning and resolved the problem. Prices seemed reasonable to us. Lukas seemed knowledgeable and explained things and both were courteous.

Had a scheduled appointment for a new heating & cooling system today between 10am-12pm. Well, now it's after 4pm and NO CALL - NO SHOW.
If this is how they do business, count me out.

We purchased our refrigerated air unit from affordable and tend to require some sort of service on the unit every year. I just called to schedule our yearly reunion and was told (in the middle of July) that they have no available appointments for two weeks even if I pay the emergency fee. When I asked for a recommendation for another repair company I was told to look online. Not only was the employee less than empathetic to the fact that my air conditioner is not working during the hottest month of the year, her “recommendation” was completely unhelpful. Really regretting our initial purchase through this company.

I had my heater not working this am. I called and they were here inside of 20 minutes. The Tech Tom was great. He diagnosed and fixed it all inside of 40 minutes. I highly recommend them

Our service technician, Tony Sena, has been phenomenal. He has been to our house twice in the past six months, once for a plumbing issue, and most recently for an evaporative cooling check. Each time, the amount of work involved turned out to be more than either of us expected. That being said, Tony was patient, communicative, and kind. On his most recent visit he ended up spending over three hours at our house to ensure our evaporative cooler would be functional this summer. You would never have known that he had to wait in long lines for parts, due to Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing. This was all on a Friday; one in which we found out had him on call all weekend. Tony is an exemplary employee and I would not hesitate for a moment to have him in our house again. Thank you so much!

I called Affordable Service on a Saturday afternoon. They're scheduler Leah scheduled Kevin Lenkowski route to my home between 4 and 6 p.m. . Around 3:45 I received an email stating that they were headed to my home which included a picture of Kevin, and then Kevin called me and told me he would be about 20 minutes. Upon arrival Kevin diagnosed my problem, presented me with 4 or 5 different options for service, and then after selection completed the work with a smile.

They came out asseessed the problem and gave us a solution then installed the new Hot water heater that same day so we are HAPPY

I scheduled an appointment for Brian to come out on Monday the 14th of November. Today (11NOV22), Ron called while I was at work and told my wife he had a cancellation and asked if he could send a tech today. My wife agreed. Lucas was wonderful at discovering the problem and getting a resolution in 30 minutes by cleaning the condensation tube. Ron however, called after the service was completed and started yelling at my wife about not being notified we were in a rental. Yelling about his guy banging on the door for 15 minutes. Then threatened my wife with police and legal actions. I tend to conclude Ron was having a bad day and called the wrong customer to yell at. Then, charged my landlord $330!EDIT: Just updated to 1 Star due to lack of accountability and my wife WAS threatened. You can disagree all you want. It doesn't change the truth!

Mr. Sana was on very professional and informative about his company. I decided to go with the service plan because of his professional attitude and service.Follow up with the service plan: Mr.Sena came back to service my cooler for the summer. He fixed several issues that had not been taken care of by other companies. Mr.Sena took pictures of the issues so that I could make informed decisions. He was kind enough to explain several times (because I did not understand the first two or three times) what needed to be corrected. Everything was covered under the plan and I did not need to pay a cent for the professional and kind service. Plus my cooler is running great and I can tell a big difference then previous years.

I had another HVAC contractor out to fix my AC as it was not blowing cold. The other contractor sold me a bunch of Freon as that was easy and profitable. I decided to call affordable. The Technician (Jake) came out diagnosed my system and found the coils were dirty thus the necessary heat exchange was not occurring. This was a harder job but affordable took the time to correctly find the problem and fix it. I was given options and pricing before Jake did anything. He really cares about his customers. Highly recommended!

They fixed two toilets, fixed a leaking shower and were going to fix a faucet on my tub, but it may require new faucets so I opted to wait. They were on time, professional and courteous. Tony was very professional and only suggested additional repairs that I agreed were necessary. He was very friendly and completed the work quickly. He left the work area very clean.

Bob was on time and courteous but, I found a leak in his repair about two hours after he left. When I called back, they were not very nice (did not speak to Bob) and said they could only come at noon the next day. So, I cancelled my lunch plans and waited. When he was 15 min late, I called again and was told he called in sick- but no one notified me. Another technician was sent out and ultimately the leak was fixed. But, I was charged over $700 for a garbage disposal repair and line replacement. The disposal unit was priced $100 dollars at Lowe's. Bob called back at my request and said I was given all the price options... not helpful. So, $600 for an hour of labor.

The repairman came in a timely manner and could not see that anything was wrong but he did 'clean the sensors' and because it was working, he left and told me if it was making the clicking noise and not coming on again in the next 30 days, he would return and not charge another service charge....but it has been running just fine ever since he did that sensor cleaning. I'd like to know how to do that myself in case it ever happens again...seemed to balk when it was trying to 'turn on'.

I take time to call a business and check reviews, before I make a decision about using or patronizing it. I needed a plumber to fix the clogged drain in my shower and I chose Affordable Services. One thing I like about AS is that they charge a lower than average price to make the service call and then waive that fee should you decide to use them to fix the problem. They do have set fees that vary depending on what the issue is. The repairman arrived earlier than scheduled after he made contact by text and call to let me know that if we liked, he would be able to come earlier. He was professional in look and manner, and came to the door in a mask. He worked efficiently, resolved the issue quickly and cleaned up when he was done.

My tenant had alerted me to issue with a system that they (Affordable) installed. He arranged to have Affordable come evaluate the system this morning, Saturday the 7th at 845am. I live in Arizona. When I woke up, after the fact, I had 2 voice messages from technician, Daniel. The first to confirm the appointment, which I can understand initially, but was confused why he would call me and not my tenant. The second call was, in a huffy sounding voice - that it was his second attempt to confirm the appointment and that he, Daniel, was cancelling the appointment. Of course I tried to call back but no avail. I am attempting to work with them to determine the cause for the error so that it doesn't happen again.Update 1 - Monday - Owner called personally to let me know what information he found. Will update again after service call is completed.

Kurt and Brian came to my house and repaired my leaking swamp cooler, a leaky pipe under the crawlspace of the house, replaced a drain and a garbage disposal. They were both very professional, friendly, competent, and courteous, and the work was done in a very timely manner. Everything is working perfectly!I had to call Affordable Service last month for a few more repairs, and Tony Sena completed the work, which involved putting a new washer box in, putting a water pressure reducing valve in and tightening a loose toilet to the floor. He also was very knowledgeable, prompt, competent, and did a great job with all the work. I would highly recommend this company!

The replacement of my old water heater with a new one was accomplished by a worker named Nathan Rodriguez. In addition to the installation, he had to bring my water heater up to code. He worked constantly for 3 1/4 hours on a very warm day in a very restricted area where the water heater is located. He answered a few questions pleasantly and directly, but he did not spend any unnecessary time chatting. Also, much to my relief, he kept his radio on very softly while he worked. Even though it was a Saturday Tony showed up right on time to replace our water heater that failed. He called when he was at the door along with Chris who assisted him. There was an additional unexpected problem with our main water shut-off valve that occurred but Tony was able to repair that problem as well. Because the building codes had changed since our last water heater was installed, Tony explained the changes and installed the new one to comply with existing code requirements. I can't recommend Affordable Service highly enough. We have been using them for probably 20 years and have always been pleased.

I was completely pleased with the work done by Daniel. He was scheduled to perform a preventive maintenance check on my HVAC unit. He arrived early in the scheduled service window. He called about 15 minutes before arriving which is greatly appreciated. Upon arrival he introduced himself and his helper and explained what he would be doing. Throughout the visit he would describe each step. At the end of the visit he informed me of the status of my unit. I would describe him as thorough, personable, informative and efficient. These guys are good! Thomas got my old aquatherm furnace running; He actually got it to stop running. It wasn’t shutting off (the relays were 20 years old and sticking on). He found equivalent relay replacements as the OEM relays are no longer available. I will definitely call them again with any other heating, a.c., or plumbing problems.

I got 6 quotes for adding ductless mini-splits to my upstairs. These guys were not only the most affordable, but they were the only ones to tell me about the PNM rebates and did all the paperwork for me! They were also the only ones who suggested I do 2 units instead of one AND they were still cheaper than the other guys!!! The work was completed in 1 day ands it was quick, easy, and painless. Unexpected - Apparently, we had the motors (2) go out on each of our coolers. The cost for the service and replacement was much higher than expected. I wasn't really sure of what we received for the cost.. Next year we may have to do the change-overs ourselves.

We acquired several quotes for replacement of our 42 year old heater and our hot water heater. Affordable was the least expensive by quite a bit. Daniel and Parnell came out and gave us information and quotes. Installation was scheduled within 2 weeks. Joe (and another staff member) and Gregory arrived on time, they all were friendly and efficient and cleaned up after everything. We requested a quote after that for a recirculation pump, to improve hot water flow to our master bath. Kurt came out, gave us a quote and came back within a couple of days for installation. Hot water reaches our shower within a minute as opposed to the 5-6 minutes previously. There were more people involved with these installations, but I did not get everyone's name. We couldn't be happier with our experiences with Affordable Service! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I had a contract with HomeServe USA for water main repair. The contractor they worked with was not Affordable. I specifically requested Affordable even though it would require out-of-pocket and probably additional expense. I made this decision as I said to the Affordable people I wanted their truck in my driveway. The technique they used for the complete replacement of my water line (I had polybutylene or the grey pipe) was non invasive and the job was done in less than a day. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Chris K. was our tech; he came out ON TIME and assessed our problem. He was very kind, respectful, and patient throughout the whole process and tried every which way he could to determine what was causing our plumbing issues. On a last ditch effort, him and another tech thoroughly cleared our pipes in our spare bathroom (that have been backed up for almost a year). I experienced the best customer service from Tony when did sewer-line work recently at my aging father's house. I made an appointment for the work the previous day and Tony arrived exactly at 8 AM, as promised on the scheduled day. Tony knows every detail regarding the specifications of his product and how they compare with those of his competition. His sales presentation was thorough and fully responsive to my questions which left no doubt that he was selling the best product on the market. He followed up by doing the best installation I have seen performed over the course of, now three water heater installations, in the past 31 years. This type of performance virtually guarantees that customers will be repeat customers.

Chris was able to come out fairly quickly and resolved my leak from the back spicket by replacing it was a better newer quality unit. He also had some ideas about how to resolve my leaky swamp cooler which I may have them come back out to do. I though it was a little expensive replacing the back spicket but its done...yaa. He was even able to stabeliize the pipe comming out of the house so didn't move around.

It was 8:15am and this was the 4th company I called after everyone else was booked and only had after-hours appointments (which meant higher rates). The receptionist quickly got my information and booked me right away for 8am-10am. Bill showed up at 8:30am and quickly fixed the issue with my furnace as well as tested for carbon monoxide. He was very professional, even a bit funny and made sure I understood how my furnace and thermostat operate properly. I'll definitely call him back in the summer!

I had that polybutylene (sp.) pipe in my house and had a leak. Had the entire house re-piped. Kurt and his crew did a great job, more than I expected. They were on time, cleaned up after themselves, courteous, and very knowledgeable. I am glad that I had them do this big job and feel it was worth every penny. I had to call Kurt back one night for a small leak and he was here in minutes. Great service!

Made appointment well in advance for today between 10 am and 12 noon. Told person who scheduled that we both work and would not be able to stay a long time after 12 and was assured they would be prompt. The person who was supposed to show (Bob) finally called just before noon to say he “got tied up” on his first call and was just now going to head to our call - and would hopefully be to our house in a half hour. Apparently he couldn’t bother to call in the previous 2 hours to say he was not coming. NOT reliable, from my experience anyway. If you can’t do something as simple as show up for an appointment in the designated 2 HOUR time block that YOU chose, I don’t see how you can be trusted to do any work correctly. (1 star only because I can’t give zero and still leave a review)

when told they charged by the job, I thought oh good. I found a couple of plumbers that charged $99.00 per hour and with the small job I needed done, I figured affordable would be cheaper and since my sister was getting it fixed for me I wanted to save her some money,but boy did I get hit with a surprize. It took the plumber less that 10 minutes to replace a cracked part and with tax, it came to $160 something. Plumber never told me how much he was going to charge and just went ahead and fixed it. I guess it was my own fault for using affordable plumbing.You would do best to stay away from them.

I called Affordable because my downstairs toilet wasn't working consistently; occasionally clogging.Initially it seemed to flush fine, however when Tony inspected it carefully he found the causes of the problem. Bill was our technician, and he was amazing! We had a couple issues with an older furnace that took a couple visits to determine the problem(s) and get it repaired. He was tenacious in finding the problem (fuses, board, transformer, etc.) that required an after-hours call, installing new replacement parts and working until our furnace was functioning properly. He also found a hole in the ductwork that could have been leaking carbon monoxide…EEK! Really impressed and grateful for their service.

Their after hours dispatch was very friendly and got my information and helped me set up an appointment after explaining their charges for on-call service. Their after hours/weekend rates were very reasonable, so I set up an appointment to have them take a look. Daniel came by my house on Sunday afternoon, opened my furnace and was quickly able to tell what the issue was. He explained everything to me about what was going on, as well as answered other general questions I had regarding my heating and cooling system. Thankfully it was an easy fix, and was able to get me up and running quickly. Daniel was very personable and knowledgeable, and I would highly recommend him and the crew at Affordable. The entire experience was great. First, Tony called saying he could come earlier than scheduled, which fit my schedule better. Second, he was very polite and courteous when he arrived and throughout the visit. Third, he was very quick and efficient, barely here an hour. Our AC suddenly died during the most inopportune times and during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. We had a technician from a different company look at the AC first, who vaguely opined that the AC was too cost prohibitive to repair and we thus needed to replace it entirely. His explanation didn't pass the smell test, so we called Affordable Service Plumbing, Heating, AC and Electric for a second opinion before we spent $10k plus on a new HVAC system. We're glad we did, because Affordable had its technician Greg K come to our house the same day. He was knowledgeable and professional and gave us an diagnosis that echoed that of the tech from the other EXCEPT that Greg had an articulate hypothesis as to the causation and full range of options to address the issue besides replacing the entire HVAC system. Affordable scheduled Greg, along with other necessary technicians, to come back to our house within mere days (despite the busy season) to repair the AC. They succeeded and did so in a punctual and professional manner. We also appreciated that treated our house with care and respect. Well done.

I had a very bad experience with the tech that was sent out and the owner/manager of the business. He was very friendly when I scheduled my appointment, the tech came later than I was promised and I was charged an EXCESSIVE amount to have very simple things done, Ex, 2 clogged bathroom drains, new guts for a toilet, and replace an outdoor water spicket, i was charged over $400. When I called to ask how the pricing was determined, by hour? by job? I did not get any reply other than, my tech does not set prices they call in and we tell them what to charge. The tech was at my home for less than an hour, there was no emergency, no major leaks. I will never ever use them again and definitely will not recommend them to anyone either. Very conscientious worker, cleaned up after himself, friendly, answered questions, just great! His name is Kurt, and he is primarily a plumber, but he was able to take care of my winter service call. I've used this company since moving here (approximately 2 1/2 years) and think they are terrific. And, although they discuss purchases and upgrades, they DO NOT push the most expensive ones on you. They explain the differences without making it sound as if taking a mid-priced one will cause your house to blow up!

Needed a new water heater! Because I had excellent service in July from Affordable Service with replacing my swamp cooler with a new HVAC system, I chose them to replace my water heater. Not sorry! :) Tony Sena listened to my concerns about my old poorly functioning water heater and recommended a new one for me. He also customized the new one to make it easier for me to do routine tank flushes to keep it in good shape and save on maintenance expenses. The day of the removal/installation, Tony and a helper arrived as scheduled, were very efficient and thorough, and always friendly and professional. After the installation was complete, Tony then went over the operating details with me. I am a very happy customer! I highly recommend Affordable Service!

Thursday the 22nd of August, I had my air conditioning and heating replaced. I was very disappointed in this service; affordable was not the case. I spent 380.00 for 30 minutes total of time spent at my house for replacing a thermostat control (which on line cost about 70.00). The actual control took about ten minutes at the most. To top it off, my husband called the company and spoke to someone in charge who stated the cost was high because of their service charge. The person in charge said they were going to contact me for a 25 rebate and that did not happen. I will never use this affordable service again.

I was told they would absolutely be out today in the afternoon. I received a call earlier this morning that they can’t come until Monday at 1pm. Ridiculous customer service! Of course they are going to push us down the list, because they won’t be able to bill for this work! I have 3 dogs...It’s going to be 100 degrees for the next 3 days at least! What the heck am I supposed to do now!? Two options Affordable— 1. You say you’re a 24 business...find a way to fit us in the schedule like you said you would. 2. I will call another company and you will pay for the repairs they perform.

Affordable Service was amazing in that they provided prompt professional service. Their employee was so knowledgeable and pleasant which made the whole experience very easy.

Our story starts when we had a leak in our garage below our 2 year old $5,400 tankless hot water heater. We checked the outside of the unit & didn’t find any leaks. The pool of water traveled under the sheet rocked wall to the other side where our furnace was. We opened the cover of the furnace and saw nothing. We decided to call Affordable Service Inc. Next-door recommended them along with Service Tech Kurt. We immediately called Affordable Service Inc. at 9:30 pm on January 19th & left a message. They called us back the next morning. Kurt & Travis were available to come out to see what was going on. Found out it was a leak inside our tankless due to corroded pipes because of high mineral counts in our water! The count was over 400! Tankless water heaters can not handle that high mineral count. Had we known that, we would have never had it installed. Kurt suggested a Bradford White 50 gallon Hot Water Heater with a recirculating pump that Travis would attach. It keeps the water circulating so it stays the temperature you want it. We decided to take Kurts' advice & so glad we did! Travis came back a few days later and took out our damaged tankless unit & installed our new hot water heater! He tested everything and then showed us how it works & what to do to change the settings. He cleaned up & took the old unit with him. And left the garage spotless! We now have instant hot water immediately. We are just so happy! Thank you, Kurt & Travis! You were very Professional, Knowledgeable, Courteous & Sweet! We love you guys! Got a quote from one of their representatives at the end of one summer to convert from swap cooler to refrigerated air. Was told the quote would be good for the following year. When I decided to purchase the next spring I was told they could not honor that quote due to their representatives quote mistakes and inflation so they added almost another 1000 on top. I still agreed because I just wanted it done but was still upset they didn’t honor their word. My refrigerated air was installed and and inspected. And I was happy to have made the switch. But towards the end of the summer the air was not cooling. I had to schedule an appointment for them to come check my system. When they came to inspect it, was told that the system wasn’t charged. So they charged the system and it started working again. But that was a day I will never get back waiting for them to fix it . The Next summer as I started my AC it began to give me the same problem i ran my AC all day and it didn’t move a degree. It was not cooling, so I scheduled another appointment and was out of cool air for a week. When they came to check on the unit, I was told it was not charged. I asked if I had to charge this unit every year and they said no, they told me the last person didn’t charge it correctly. So the unit was charged once again and once again another day wasted waiting for them to fix my unit. This year I started up my AC and once again the air wasn’t cooling. Again..I had to call and make another appointment, wait another week without coolant, miss another day of work, and waste another day waiting for this system to get fix. Finally the representatives actually looked at the system and found a leak! They charged the system and said they need to comeback to spend about 3 hours fixing it. So scheduled ANOTHER appointment to wasted another day, and be out of work so they could come fix it. After the leak was finally taken care of... which I hope it is... I asked the representative if there was someone I can talk to about the trouble and inconvenience I went through all over this problem. He said he would have someone give me a call to talk about this issue. I have yet to hear from anyone from their company for an apology or a compensation for my time wasted to get a new system fix when it should have been done right the first time. As a customer I feel i should have been at a higher importance. I hope this company realizes people’s time is precious and should not be wasting it. Happy to have refrigerated air but not happy with the service.

People BEWARE!!!! Affordable Service in your dreams..... Called and asked if I can get a quote, they told me over the phone quotes were free and can come by at 2:30 that day, next thing you know I was paying $180 just because my pipe came undone. The guy literally just screwed it back together. He didn't use any materials or tools. When he came out from underneath my home he tells me that the pipe just needed to be screwed back and that he just did it. He goes to his truck and hands me a ticket for $180, I tell him I just wanted a quote. He tells me that he fixed the problem and was demanding to get paid. Needless to say I paid the guy but I will make sure my family and friend never use them. I will NOT recommend this company to anyone, a bunch of thief's.

Had two encounters with Affordable. First was last year (2016), leaky water heater that I knew needed replacing. Their technicians came out end of the day. The pilot light had gone out to the leak. He dried the area, relit the pilot and said what I already know, you need a new water heater. He did not charge for the visit, I appreciated it and kept them in mind if for when I could afford a new water heater.So I called them yesterday (they’re local to Rio Rancho and I try to keep my money in the area if possible) when I was experiencing a furnace problem. The furnace was running but putting out room temperature air. Contacted them via website early to get the ball rolling before they were open. Finally got a call about 3 hours later to talk about my problem. Met their tech at the house at 12:15, his name was Adam I believe. I know everyone should be allowed to have a bad day at work. This guy really did not seem like he wanted to be there or I reminded him of someone he didn't like. His first question was “have you thought of replacing it. Note this while he was doing diagnostics.I thought long and hard about whether I should do this review. After reading the others from the past few weeks I think it’s worthwhile that I do it. By the time he was done he pulled the motor and housing which needed cleaning. Replaced the Flame Sensor and Furnace Draft Inducer Blower (which I had bought previously and had sitting on the shelf). He reminded me since he was installing it there would be no warranty. Maybe an hour and a half work at most the flame sensor is anywhere from $ 10-25 on the internet. My total with tax? $ 545 and change. Excessive, I was in a bind and needed it done. Never again. You’ve lost a customer but I’m sure there are more out there. There are two other local HVAC companies here in Rio Rancho, they’re get the next call.Update : 2/27/2017, received a call from Kevin at Affordable over my review. He wanted to see how he could respond to what occurred. He also said I should have called them if I was unhappy.. Why would I call, I contract you to perform a job and then I post the circumstances and what occurred. I was issued a partial refund of $ 100 for installation of my own part. Its appreciated but its doubtful I will be using Affordable again, better to just move on.

I had the entire control board on my furnace replaced only 2 years ago for $800 and only 2 years later, for no reason, a switch that was soldered on broke off.My only option according to affordable service was to have the whole control board replaced again.That should not happen. Affordable Service should warranty their work better, provide better service and better parts.A homeowner should not have to worry about a furnace not operating in the winter and have to make costly repairs every 2 years due to poor repair work and cheap parts.

Affordable Service was recommended to me by a friend who uses them for her AC/furnace cross-overs. They came today to shut down the furnace and start up the swamp cooler. The technician called to let me know they were coming for the appointment; they arrived on time, were friendly & professional. I tried to stay out of their way so they could get their work done without having an annoying homeowner in their way; they were able to get everything done in approximately an hour. I am very satisfied with the service provided and will be calling Affordable Service in the fall to make the cross-over to the furnace.

Service tech was good but the office failed to call me to schedule 2 wk city approval inspection.I called on monday 3:00 pm they told me it was too late to schedule for tues but they could come wens and I asked if they could come thurs and he said yes. He said he could not tell me a time that I needed to be available all day.No one showed on thurs. My disappointment is the man didn't schedule my apointment with to the city till wens. Had he called it in monday pm or tues morning the city may have been there on thurs.The manager blamed the city and covid 19 and refused to admit they made a mistake. He didn't even say he was sorry or tried to help me reschedule. Said we were dealing with government.In my opinion once they get their money customer service goes south. The tech may have saved my life! I had some roofing done 2 days prior to Adam coming to service my air conditioner, they somehow broke a exhaust pipe on my furnace. Had Adam not been so meticulous at doing his job I might have died from carbon monoxide when I turned on my furnace.

Affordable installed my refrigerated AC conversion in 2015. I normally appreciate this business, however, I was on the roof of my house today and I noticed that they ran the AC hi/low lines, drain line, and thermostat wiring across 18 feet of my roof without surrounding the above with some kind of protective duct to protect it from UV. As a result, the foam insulation around one of the AC lines is crumbling, and the insulation around the thermostat wire is falling off - due to UV exposure. I know my warranty is expired but I wanted to report this so other customers can make sure that Affordable doesn't do a careless job on their AC conversion should they choose Affordable to do the work on their house. Follow up: I got a call from Affordable and they were very responsive to my concerns, and they have scheduled a complete repair of the above mentioned problem, and they will do the repairs on 11/11/21.

Each of the 3 gave me reasonable bid or so I thought! Kurt came out to bid, told me about the braided steel lines that would go to the fixtures, asked to see my water heater.. Why I asked? He said if we are going to all the trouble to replace the lines I want to make sure the water heater is not too old. Not one of the other 3 companies asked to see the water heater!! Come to find out it was over 10 years old! So I got a new water heater as well. They insulated all the pipes on the interior walls as well as the outside ones. I got a shut off that is super easy to use! On top of all the work they did Kurt's crew were all very professional! I have 3 dogs and each of his crew scratched ears and butts ( to a dog person that is awesome!). I can't say enough nice things about this company! They are also BBB rated A+ and it shows!

Tony and Jason came to my home today and very efficiently switched my furnace to swamp cooler. Both gentlemen were professional and courteous. I had signed up for the maintenance plan and Tony explained what this entails. I'm glad to have done this today. I will use this company again in the fall as part of my maintenance plan. The first tech that showed up only works on swap coolers and as we have AC he couldn't do anything. When I called the office to complain the person I talked to tried to claim tis was my fault. It took a while for him to admit he made the mistake.

I moved back recently and called because my mom needed assistance with her wall heater. Rather than just send someone out and charging me they talked to me, looked up her unit, and assured me her unit was working fine and even gave me the manufacture's number so I could verify. I may not have used them this time but I will definitely call them if I need an installation/repair in the future.

My heater died after 27 years on a Sunday morning. The team at affordable responded to my call quickly, came out on Monday, gave me several options to repair or replace. Thomas did a repipe from main to shut off valve. He and Brian work hard to get the job done. Took longer then expected but stuck with it. I was so pleased (and surprised) to get an offer of same-day service when I called this morning. I was told between 12:00 and 2:00 and Kevin Lenkowski showed up exactly at 12:00. Daniel Garcia was extremely professional, knowledgeable and capable. Our heater went out in the coldest night. Affordable Service sent Mr. Garcia promptly at 8:00 am even though the scheduled time was between 8-10:00. Our panel was replaced per his recommendation to a more universal, appropriate design to fit our needs. He recognized the problem and skillfully and quickly corrected, resolving the issue. Had a waterline leak in the front yard and Nate Hopkins showed up and diagnosed the situation and repaired it in a professional manner and it was a leak that was at a connection that was supposed to be replaced when I had the water lines through the entire house replaced in 2013 , the replaced lines didn’t go anywhere near the meter like I was told they would be back in 2013, old pvc still runs from the meter to right outside the house.My bad for not getting more involved and paying attention back in 2013 .Makes no sense to leave old lines when doing a complete overhaul. (Hard to inspect work done when covered in 3 feet of dirt)Anyway, For plumbers I HIGHLY recommend Nate Hopkins and for A/C heating I recommend Bill Norton BOTH from AFFORDABLE .Affordable has come to my rescue many times and for that I am thankful.

iused this company for along time . found out they wasn't doing a good job charged for things that didn't have to be done . didn't do service on a/c correctly . we have a two story house so we put or trust in them. we were having problems we had a friend who is a contractor go up to two story roof to find out what was going on .pads was not on correctly the vents weren't on correctly causes water to leak bearing wasn't oiled belt was ready to break .don't use this company'.

$272 to have a plumber push the roots farther down and never got them out and said he got a grease clog. City of Rio Rancho ran the camera to find them and got the roots out.

They performed a duct cleaning and Kevin L quoted us a price for upgrading from swamp air to refrigerated air that was reasonable and explained the benefits of the system we chose. The crew that installed the new system did a great professional job, we are very happy with the quality and efficiency in which they were able to get the job done. Recently had an issue that Ron, Kevin and Sue helped get resolved. Overall I am impressed with the great customer service and the team here.

Set up appointment window, techs arrived well within window. Very old cooler, turned out belt obsolete. Tech attempted local distributors, no go. Found out of state; arranged for shipping. Installed old belt to get by until new arrival. Install of new belt to be done without my presence needed. Belt arrived next day tech installed and called to let me know it was done. Fabulous! My experience and my wife's experience with Sherry (Sheri) and Kevin was not very pleasant, Kevin YELLED at my wife over the phone and was short and RUDE with myself, Sherry did not own her conversation with my wife, she said my wife spoke to the OTHER girl, my wife explained to them with had her elderly mother living with us and it was very hot in our home (98') to be exact, they had told her they could not come until next Tuesday but she insisted they come today which they said Greg would be in touch sometime today because they were very busy, Greg had come out the week before to check the unit THEY installed 3 years prior and said nothing was wrong with it my complain then was that it wasn't cooling enough I also told him the unit outside rattled alot all he did was check temperature, at that time he told me I had just used up my labor warrenty, Eric came out and fixed the problem with the unit today $160 + dollars and tightened up everything no more rattling so I'm happy now because it's cooling. I am not HAPPY with Sherry, Kevin, or Greg (he NEVER called us) or the bill. Greg gave me his personal bussiness card the week before told me then IF there were ANY other issues to call him he is the first person I called at 5 a.m., the office was next, no one called me back I understand they dont open until 8 a.m. but no one called me to acknowledge my call, I finally called and I was told that there system was down that they had my voicemail and were waiting for the system go back up to reach out to me. I would like to thank Eric for being very courteous and fixing my problem. They have told me before that if anyone else services my unit it VOIDS the warrenty and that it will COST alot more, I paid ALOT of money for my Refrigerated Air Unit thourgh them so I feel my hands are tied for now.😳😳😳😳

Waited almost a week for them to come out to look at a one year oldRinnai tank-less water heater that they originally installed and programmed.When they showed up I told them what I thought the problem was which had nothing to do with the install and something to do with the timer for the recirculating pump. They first questioned if they had worked on it before and I said yes. I then gave them the name of the plumber that had set it up and the man said I never had anyone by that name work for me. So I showed him the card from their company with the name of the plumber that had installed it and he said he did not remember him and then took the card and put it in his pocket. I ask if he wanted to see the invoice and he said he saw the history of it. He put his hand on the pump and said it was not supposed to be hot. Later i did find out that indeed it does get hot because it is pumping hot water. After about ten minutes of being at my home he said we don't work on this brand any more and i wont charge for this call and they left. I just wish they told me that before when i made the appointment and did not waste my time.

I called Affordable Service Heating and Cooling to get a part on our air conditioner. We knew how much the part would be because we found out in advance. (200.00) and about 30 to an hour labor.When the technician came to give us a quote he said it would be 800.00 plus taxes.We asked him how much the part was and he said he could not disclose the amount.We of course, did not use their services and called ABQ Temperature Management LLC which was the best decision since they were so professional and conscientious about their charges.I think Affordable Service Heating and Cooling should consider changing their name but if you as a costumer, are rich and have a lot of money to spare and don’t mind being taken advantage of give them a call.

I called Affordable Service and was told they could not repair my furnace, only install a new one for $2600. I called another company and it is now working for under $100.00.To answer your question below. Yes, after the $100 repair, which apparently a very simple repair, my furnace is still working perfectly. I was not given any options but the diagnostics fee with no details regarding the problem and a quote for a new $2600.00 funace.

We were in a difficult place, late Sunday afternoon in July with a broken air conditioner. I called six different companies to get our unit looked at for a possible same day repair. I got a call back from Affordable Service Plumbing, etc. and they were able to come same day to fix. They arrived at the time they had told me and were able to repair our unit and get operational that night. It was more expensive due to the fact it was Sunday night, but having our A/C working that night was awesome. It had hit just over 100 in our neighborhood so the house was way too hot. Very professional, went right to work, and fixed it. They were here less than an hour in total. Kevin and Leah were my heroes that night!

We are new to Rio Rancho, had just bought a house, and discovered that the water valves for the washing machine needed replacement -- badly! Because the house is older ('85), the valve box threw him a problem as far as accessing the valve pipes, but he knew exactly what to do, and had us up and washing in no time. Thomas came out to repair a broken bathtub faucet. He did excellent work. He was friendly and knew what he needed to do. When he was finished all worked well, he cleaned up and was gone. Next time I need a plumber I'll definitely ask for Thomas he's one of the good ones.

I called affordable service to get a burst pipe fixed. They had a technician come out to my house and give me a quote. The Affordable Service technician said to go ahead and buy the parts at lowes. The next day I called the technician because he was late to come install the parts, except this time the technician didnt answer. Aparently he was fired the day after coming into my home! now I am stuck with these parts and still have water shut off and a burst pipe. THANKS FOR NOTHING !

I called Affordable service plumbing to fix the popup assembly and PTrap They showed up on time and fixed the problem within an hour but then the affordable became unaffordable at a $267.07 bill.I went down to find out why it was that high and was told because his people are certified and that they get an approval on price before they start the job .They called the service guy and he said he got an approval from the husband but L was at work and then he changed it that he got it from my wife.Not that he was wrong I guess it was just an oversight.I was very unhappy with the way it was handled and that much money for what was done.Their attitude was not one that I will ever deal with again.SO ENJOY the $267.07 it will be the last from me.If anyone asks about your service I would tell them to get someone who cares about you and not just your money.

Reconnecting a loose wire and (unnecessarily) replacing an outlet was simple enough after the diagnosis. 2 workers for 40 minutes, less than $5 in parts, and the bill was over $300, I understand you need to profit but even if you're paying these guys $70 ea. per hour, your margins are 100% and far too great to call yourself affordable

Called out Affordable to take a look at our furnace. Kevin walked us through the diagnosis, and we agreed it needed to be replaced. They got a new unit to our house that day and by that evening it was up and running. Should have replaced it years ago if knew it would go so smoothly. Kevin and his helper, Cory, were very professional. Got the old unit out quickly, installed and tested the new unit and even programmed our thermostat. They cleaned up behind themselves and left the house as they found it. Highly recommend Affordable Service.

We contacted Affordable because our outside faucet had a slow leak. This was caused by our not disconnecting our hose from the faucet in the wintertime we learned. They sent Chris who had to remove the faucet and replaced it with a new one. This meant that he had to cut an opening in our inside wall to access the piping because there was a clamp that was holding the piping that secured the facet and it couldn’t be removed from the outside. Anyway he did an excellent job. Every time we call Affordable they come right away and get the job done at a reasonable cost.

Lucas was very professional and courteous. He explained exactly what was needed and worked toward the solution. I would highly recommend Affordable Service and Lucas for any HVAC needs.

After a site visit they don't return your calls or send a quote. The guy who came to the house spoke more to my son about conspiracy theories and anti vax then the water heater. I called him the next day he said he was busy and would eventually put something together, then never heard from him since. We ended up buying new AC, water heater and Heater from Wagner with full service!

Tony showed less than one hour after I called for appointment. He finished in approximately one hour. Leaks are fixed and work areas left clean and as he found them. This is at least second time I have used Affordable and all occurrences have been 5 star.The missing star is due to Tony not wearing any PPE given the state's current virus protection guidance.Cost of service was more than I was expecting but given the prompt response and service and positive result I would recommend Affordable to others and will continue to call them when I require plumbing or HVAC service

Wanted to charge 70.00 to estimate a inflow air distribution box proposal.....you dont charge a customer for a proposal...all this means is you are not sure of your pricing and want to tie the customer into taking you highly overpriced estimate......poor business representation. Doesnt matter if you refund the money back....if you dont choose you because you are not the best quality and price you are out the money for a proposal...which should be in good faith from the company you use and not feel the need to gouge you for money for showing up....in your response you said the fee is to ensure the job is done right.....how ignorant do you have to be to want me to pay you to ensure you do your job correctly...what a joke.

Showed up not a hello just said old furnace get you a quote for New one 2600.00 the check furnace control board is out 500.00. Then 5min he’s done ✅ send you a email with the price of a new one. That’s 75.00 sign here. Out the door no good bye...! I think I’ll let someone else pay for their commercials!! I think the 5 star rating are a joke!! For real 😳???? Go somewhere else.. The work ended up being ok. However front door consistently left open while going in and out, the heater was running. Both bathrooms left in slight disarray after work was done. I've had other folks from this same company do a better job. I was contacted by their General Mgr. He said could we check out the problem. A second tech came out and fixed the issues. I will say they do work with the customer and I will use them again.

Affordable Service replaced our evaporative cooler with an American Standard Refrigerated Air System on 11/8/2021. We didn’t need to use it until May of 2022, and by then we were not sure that the unit was working properly. Ron answered most of our questions on the phone and scheduled Patrick Tipton to visit us in person about a week later. Patrick called before he arrived and was able to arrive sooner that our scheduled window.Patrick verified that our unit is working properly and even applied an additional layer of duct seal paste around the outside condenser. He explained in detail how refrigerated air works and told us exactly how to program our thermostat to provide us with a cooling at maximum efficiency.Patrick is professional, knowledgeable, and patient with an old guy like me with lots of questions.This is the second time we have contracted with Affordable Service. On February 14, 2018. Tony and his crew installed a ne water heater. Air conditioner not cooling house that we just bought. Asked home warranty company about it they sent this company out. Gets hot in the afternoon guy didn't even check pressures on the unit he literally said within the first 5 minutes of being in the house there is nothing they could do. He said the HVAC system was to small for the house and walked out took him over ten minutes to put my inside unit back together. When we got it inspected before we bought the house the guy came out and said ther was some issues but couldn't check the pressures due to being cold. Not one to leave long reviews but the distrustful and disrespect my wife got was outrageous. Called American ac and heat for a second opinion. Not the case when it comes this company want your money but not fix your problems. I work in customer service and if I was home I would have told him to give my money back

Great company to work with. They installed our A/C unit a couple years ago, removed the old swamp cooler, replaced our furnace, and replaced our water heater all within normal business hours and it took them only one day. Financing is available as well. They also have 24/7 on call support. Very competitive prices, did a lot of research before ending up working with this company. Highly recommend them.

My heater quit working on a very cold night. I left a message and went to spend the night at a friend's house. I chose to wait until the next day to avoid after hour cost. By 7:15am the next morning they were calling me, that they had a cancelation & could be over at 8am.James Hulse came over was very professional and respectful. I would like to note that the courtesy and the the professionalism was wonderful from Leah. Technician Kevin should up and was extremely polite and respectful found the problem quick and began working on the issue. I called with a minor kitchen drain problem and was able to get an appointment the next day. Tony S was polite and efficient fixing the problem and informative about preventing future problems.

I wasn’t impressed at all. Lack of transparency on their charges and believe me, their name is a rhetorical name, nothing affordable about them!

Excellent service. Affordable Service was able to get me an appointment within 2-days and my problem was fixed within an hour. My technician, Tony, diagnosed the problem immediately and he had the materials in his truck for an immediate fix. Awesome work.

I called Affordable Service to replace my single capacitor to dual capacitor for the outdoors AC unit. The technician, Greg, came on time and provided a quote of $192 dollars. In addition, Greg recommended the installation of a hard start kit. He said that this would be an additional $317 dollars. He also offered a 10% discount so the overall bill with tax was $510. The repair took about 10 minutes and it was really a single repair because all he had to do was open the unit, replace the capacitor, and connect the hard start kit. Upon research, I found that both parts cost at most $100. The whole repair should have been no more than $200. In my opinion, they are not affordable and I would not recommend their services.

I bought a home built by Twilight. My HVAC system was installed by Wong who did not register my HVAC equipment. I repetitively had problems with it since I moved in and Wong who is not certified with Carrier kept coming back to trouble shoot my HVAC. I finally called Carrier who told me to use a certified Carrier repair company -Affordable service. Kevin Lenkowski fixed my HVAC SYSTEM and explained how the system worked and why it malfunctioned. I awoke early one morning this week to prepare for the day and found I had no hot water. I figured the recycling motor had failed. I went to the garage to inspect and found a pool of water in the pan beneath the hot water heater. I assumed the water heater was shot and so I came in and searched plumbing companies in Rio Rancho. Affordable promptly came up and I saw the ratings and read the comments. I compared companies for a minute and immediately called Affordable. The response was quick and they made an appointment. Kurt Hill and Cory came promptly at 10AM and examined the water heater and found a leak in the piping above the water heater. He corrected the problem quickly. I shared some other concerns with toilets and sinks which they fixed. I felt the dishwasher might have a small leak so they checked it out and found it did have a leak and the supply line was swollen twice its size and was vulnerable for a break. He disconnected the dishwasher at our request because he said the motor was shot. He made a video of it leaking to assure us. This lead to a question about what our water pressure was set at. It was 100 plus. That explained a lot about problems we were having with sinks, toilets, and appliances. They searched out the supply lines to the house and placed a water pressure regulator by our main water supply to the home.I thought that the bill would be extremely high because of the hours they spent at our home. To my surprise they were extremely fair and reasonable.My wife and I are so grateful for these two men and their friendship and trusting nature. We would recommend Affordable Service, Kurt and Cory for any of your heating, plumbing, and air conditioning needs.Jim and Donna
