Best Ductless Heating Maintenance in Boston MA

Summary: Not only tried to rip us off for a job, they actually LIED and INVENTED a problem that was blatantly non-existent to try to fleece us out of more than $700.

Story...

I called about a shower that was not giving hot water. They charged a $69 visit/diagnostic fee, which is a lot and does not apply to the actual job, but I accepted it. After coming by, they said I need to schedule a water mains shutoff to the house (I live in one of three units) because they couldn't just turn off water to the shower itself, and that I needed to order a new shower valve online for them to replace next time for an installation fee of $460. Again I thought it was pricey but reasonable...

Before they left I asked them about a bathroom faucet that had low cold water pressure. They said they'll take a look, and pretended to attempt to turn off the valves under the sink to shut off the water. Then, they said that those valves were corroded, couldn't be turned, and need replacement. Without being able to shut off the water they'd again have to wait until the water mains shutoff. They however, strongly recommended me to replace those valves in addition to fixing the faucet problem next time. Total quoted cost: ~$700

NOW I was a little suspicious. My bathroom plumbing isn't that old, and given that the only thing they did during this $70 visit was attempting to rotate those valves under the sink, I decided to see myself just how stuck they were. To my utter surprise, both valves turned smooth as butter, easily closing and opening all the way under the force of merely two fingers. And what's more, after opening one of the valves just one extra turn, the water pressure problems was immediately resolved. Total time and cost for someone with zero plumbing experience to fix: 1 minute and $0

Having quickly fixed something that was quoted $700 by a seasoned professional, I figured that as a naturally gifted plumber I should delve into the shower problem myself. Of course there was still that pesky problem of shutting off the water mains. Fortunately, after unscrewing the face plate from the faucet handle (30 seconds of work which they did NOT bother to do during the diagnostic visit btw, I wonder why), I found not one but two valves that can shut off both hot and cold water to the shower! Who could have known! And, after following some youtube instructions that took about 10 minutes and a single wrench, I can finally take a hot shower again! Total time and cost? 20 minutes and $0 (well, except for the valve that they told me to buy online which turned out to be totally unneeded. But I'll be returning that...)

Very nice gentleman came to the house, he was appropriately dressed for Covid and social distanced, he took a few notes down and a few pictures of my furnace. They got back to me via email to give me an estimate.
I was very pleased them.👍

Jesse was great. He was on time (actually a little early even), explained what he was going to do and then proceeded to carefully do the trap work. He was careful with the removal of concrete around the trap so it looks ok. He is personable and shares his knowledge of sewer information and I was pleased with his work.

I was unable to find a plumber and via Angi I sent a request for a heating and hvac company Stephen from Chilli Whillie in Saugus was the only one to contact me it being a Saturday I had lost my heat Stephen from Chilli Whillie called and came out found the issue and due to the holiday wasn’t able to come til Wednesday but his technician Anthony came out installed our new heating system this company exceeded our expectations they are the best of the best and I would highly recommend them

A superb experience from start to finish! In a fortunate turn of events, my former regular HVAC company never returned my call after a week when my furnace decided to act up. I called Sila on a Saturday am and was pleasantly surprised when an actual person answered the phone and guaranteed me that a tech would be there, despite a major snow storm heading our way. Hopeful but skeptical, I was pleasantly surprised when the office called to confirm that the tech was otw and Ken showed up as promised. I can’t say enough about Ken’s professionalism, competence and ‘stick to itness’. He was kind to my dogs, tolerated me and fixed the problem. Im so impressed I signed up for the yearly maintenance program, count me as a loyal customer!

We needed help with our HVAC system during a heatwave. They were very quick to respond and very helpful and they came out. Would recommend to anyone.

BSC was a delight to work with. Form the beginning, they were very helpful. Scott supported us on picking the right system for our house, also walked to us through all the financial incentives available to us, and finally helped me figure out all the documentation required for a heat-loan (he actually helped me on 2 proposals with the same enthusiasm). Fred worked with us to figure out installation dates that would work best for us and was very communicative of all the changes that came up. The MOST IMPRESSIVE part was working with the installation team: Joel and his team were above and beyond any recent experience I've had with contractors in the Boston area. They were courteous, communicative, friendly, meticulous about their work and the overall workmanship was A+, I wish I could get guys like Joel on every single one of my home projects. Finally, Debbie helped us submit all the incentive applications to Mass Save and communicated with me through all the steps.Bottom line: I would recommend BSC for any HVAC installation service. They run a really well oiled operation and they do not nickel and dime you. It felt like they were truly concerned about our satisfaction, imagine that!

Matt Patchell was great. He did a thorough system check, found the problem and fixed it quickly. I highly recommend Trust1 and especially Matt. Very hard to find honest techs today so Trust1 was a big relief.

A really good experience. Our bathroom faucet was not working. We contacted many plumbers who had a long wait period. Petros called back right away and had me take photos of the faucet. He said that instread of calling him in for a simple repair, he could walk me through doing it myself! Amazing!

We will certainly be using P Floros for all future plumbing needs.

Service person came on time, worked efficiently, and solved my problem.
