Two Akian plumbers came to inspect my system. They were courteous and pleasant. They provided several thorough estimates and did a good job explaining the various components. They also inspected gas pipes in my basement for leaks. I didn’t end up accepting any of their proposals.

Recently, my kitchen sink started leaking which led to a puddle of water on the floor. I found Akian Plumbing and decided to see if they could help. Uriel came by today and did a great job. He was good at explaining what the issue was as well as pointing out possible future issues and fixed everything on the same day.

Brendan was efficient and professional. He followed all of the COVID-19 social distancing and sanitary procedures. And, most importantly, my AC is working again!

I paid Akian $1,188 for boiler diagnostics and problem resolution identified in diagnosis. At the end of the day, my boiler was tagged red and inoperable. I was given the option of paying $4,000 to overhaul electrical system or replace boiler for $18,000!. It was all an exercise of a waste of time and money

We had an emergency leak occurring in our kitchen. They were able to make it out within a couple hours of us placing a call and had the problem fixed quickly and without issue.

I manage a building in Boston and for years have had issues with plumbers. Either they are late, don't call back at all, or do a poor job while still charging high prices. I called Akian plumbing and Steve picked up right away. He took time to explain to me what could be the issue and how he planned to solve it. Not only did they show up on time, but they got the job done ahead of schedule AND were honest enough to explain to me that the issue was not as bad as initially thought and charged me less than agreed. Akian Plumbing (AP) did two jobs for me - (1) installation of a tankless water heater and new piping after converting from a tank heater system - five stars, and (2) fixing a leaky outdoor spigot - two stars.(1) I had four bids for the first job, and AP was the only one I trusted would do the job properly. I was not disappointed - AP was very professional, knowledgeable, had great attention to detail, the result was of impeccable quality, and AP had seamless interactions with the town inspector. Five stars plus!(2) The outdoor spigot repair was a 15 min job, where AP replaced a rubber seal in the spigot. The bill - $209. I raised the cost issue with Steve Akian .. he said sorry, I have to cover my overhead [said it in a nicer and more articulate way, but that was the gist of the response]. Given that I had a great experience with the first project, I let this one go.My recommendation - AP is outstanding at complex, sophisticated installations, where skills and knowledge matter a great deal .. I highly recommend AP for such jobs. However, AP is simply not cost effective for minor, routine repairs .. for those, I would look for a different contractor.

Responded quickly and came out the same day to install a new gas heater in our home in Belmont, MA. Very service minded and good value too. Can warmly recommend Akian Plumbing and will use them again.

Thiago, Raffi and Phil did a very professional job and took the time to make sure everything working properly with the water tank and humidifier installation. The quotes were completely transparent and I highly recommend them.

They helped diagnose that we had an oversized hvac but we didn't have much luck on scheduling (canceled twice and were late the times that did work out) and ended up having to take multiple days off to get our situation sorted. It's worked out but service was slightly disappointing given the reviews.

Our technician James was very clear about the process, very polite, very thorough in his assessment, and walked me through at the end all of the work he had done and what other issues he found with our heating system that might cause major problems down the road.

It was easy to book and I was able to get an appointment quickly. Bill showed up on time and was professional, clearly experienced, did immaculate work and also installed an additional piece that will save me on future maintenance.Cost was totally reasonable and will be using Akian as my plumber going forward.

Akian is a great company. I've used them for both my HVAC issues and to replace my water heater. All the engineers and technicians I worked with Josh, Dominic and Barry, were helpful and great at their jobs. After each appointment both Josh and Barry to the time to walk me through what they did, how my system worked, and double checked that their fixes (HVAC and water heater) worked as expected.I will definitely be using them in the future and recommending them to my friends.

Akian has consistently been responsive. It's hard to find plumbers right now, particularly for smaller jobs but Akian always comes through. The entire operation is professional, from Marissa who triages the calls, to the plumbers who show up on site.

I contacted Stephen about my garbage disposal which was “repaired” by another company last November. He sent a very nice plumber, Joe, who was prompt, professional and efficient. He replaced the disposal quickly and neatly. He removed a clog and educated me on maintenance, neither of which he was required to do for the price quoted. I recommend Aikian and will use them again.

Phil O. visited my place to diagnose some noise issue with my heating system. He walked me through all the examinations that he made and answered to my question clearly. He shared his professional opinions and findings in detail. He proposed the best solution that we can happily take. I am happy with his service and expecting that the installation process will go smoothly (1/10/2023).The heating unit has been replaced with the new unit together with the exhaust pipe. Ray and George, two engineers came to my place for the installation.They explained detail how to and what to be done. They are professional and thorough. I am happy with their services and dedication to the work (1/13/2023).

Phil was very clear about charges ahead of time and tried to save me money by asking if it could wait until the next day. (It couldn't , my tenants said it was too cold.) Akian did a great job installing my new water heater. After setting up the service with Naomi and Evan R.--both of whom were very pleasant to work with, were exceptionally responsive to my needs and requests--I worked mostly with Tara, George and Dominic. Tara handled the administrative tasks amazingly efficiently and thoroughly. She was very helpful around my multiple scheduling needs---getting the new water heater installed when i had very little free time before I went on vacation, for example. Meanwhile, George and Dominic installed the water heater. Besides being courteous and accommodating, they knew their stuff. They put in a better brand heater than I have had the the past, explained its features and workings, and cleaned up thoroughly. They too were very agreeable and a pleasure to work with. All in all, Akian left me feeling that I was in good hands. In my view, Akian is a well-run professional company that I will use again, should a need arise.

As a property manager I need a company that can respond to calls promptly and professionally. Akian plumbing is 100% that company. They are my first call anytime I have a plumbing emergency or issue.

While I appreciated all of the technicians I worked with at Akian, I had to stop hiring and suggesting their services. They were constantly late and were not proactive about reaching out. I missed a lot of work waiting for service folks at Akian who didn’t show up within the agreed upon window.

Same day service. Took care of the immediate problem with our A/C unit and presented a detailed assessment of longer-term issues to address in a follow-up visit (when parts arrive). Very clearly communicated and no surprises in terms of cost for diagnostic and repair work. Manny was our repairman and was a pleasure to work with.

Uriel did an excellent job finding the cause of the problem of slow drains in the entire house. He was professional and knowledgeable and an excellent listener. He diligently worked and got the job done making the situation even better than before the problem started.

A lot of bells and whistles with expensive poor service. I had a kitchen plumbing issue and called them based on good reviews. The customer service was good over the phone and setting up an appointment was easy. However, the technician was novice at best. He recommended some major repairs and gave me a big quote. And then he gave me an invoice for $158 - $79 dispatch fee and $79 evaluation service call fee. I don't know why they have two fees, shouldn't they just have dispatch fee? I did not want to argue with him about these fees, so I paid him and he left.I called my local plumber who took very long to response because he was very busy. He evaluated the whole plumbing issue and told me that it is not as bad as it looks and he fixed it the same day for a fraction of the quote that was provided by Akian.I felt like I was scammed. I am not calling them again.

I have so far used them only once to trouble shoot issue with my water line connection to the washer. The technician Mike was extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They were quick and efficient in figuring out what the problem was. I would definitely call them for future plumbing related needs.I have now used them twice. Technician Mike and Andy B came to remove the intelliflow system attached to the pipes going to the washer which had failed and replaced it with a manual valve system. They were on time, very professional, efficient and quick. Would highly recommend them.

This is the best HVAC repair service I have every used. My heater stopped working all of the sudden and it was freezing in my house and I needed someone to come fix it right away. Before I found Akian, I called another service which I will not name here because they did such a bad job, but suffice it to say that I was not happy with the other non-Akian service since they told me I would have to pay thousands of dollars for new parts to repair my HVAC. I knew there was something fishy about that, so I wanted to get a second opinion and I chose Akian for that second opinion. Akian sent someone right away the same day, no problem. The other company I called previously couldn't come for days to even look at my heater. Akian came right away though and they discovered that it was a simple fix that didn't require any new parts or thousands of dollars to fix. I knew right away that Akian was an honest company that not only knew what they were doing but wouldn't cheat their customers to make a quick buck. That shows that they respect and care about their clients and won't try to cheat them with exorbitant pricing schemes like other companies. Phil was the person from Akian that came. He is a super experienced HVAC service technician who is extremely knowledgeable and honest and kind. Bobby has also come to fix the HVAC as well and he is also super knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. So as you can imagine I was very happy with how honest and professional and reliable these guys are. I give them 5 stars without hesitation. They are punctual, nice, fast and friendly. I recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC repairs and maintenance. I will be using them for all of my HAVAC maintenance from here on out.

Not quite satisfied with the service. First, it’s super expensive. To replace a 40 gal water heater, we were offered gold, silver, bronze, and economy options. We chose economy option which turned out to be $1929. A small drip from an upstairs bathroom needed the wax ring replaced and toilet reset ($249). They left the clothes dryer in the utility room out of position without moving it back. The toilet that was rewaxed and reseated still has a drip that I can hear. There were 2 blue latex gloves discarded right in the middle of our driveway after the truck left. Don’t recommend.

Very happy to have found this plumbing service. Used them for four projects - one small, two medium, one large. Each time, they were on time, super clean, and super professional. They were very thoughtful about the different options, didn't pressure me to do a replacement when a repair sufficed (but offered all of the options), and were overall very practical and efficient.

I am very pleased with Akian’s services. The company installed a new tankless water heater for me. The plumbers Josh and George worked hard all day and left the place neat and clean. The electrician installed a switch and replaced a hard wired CO2 detector. They made sure all was completed within regulations. My on demand hot water heater is working very well. I have used Akian Plumbing in the past, and they have always done an efficient and professional job. Today's experience was no different. Would that all of the trades worked like Akian in general, and Bill in particular!

My only problem was the $3200 (after I begged for mercy) price. I tried Akian because they were said to deal in A.O.Smith water heaters. I expected they would just replace the faulty $200 part, not replace the entire unit. I had same day 40-gallon gas water heater replacement from another plumber about a year ago for $1500.

On time , came prepared , did the job....very satisfied...

When we noticed a leak under a pipe in our basement, we called Akian to check it out. Bill and George arrived promptly during the scheduled day and set to work. When Bill realized that the leak was likely behind a wall on the 1st floor, he was transparent about the need to open up that wall to access it, as well as possible costs, with no pressure. When we decided to move forward, he and George were able to clear out their schedule and do the repairs that same day, without leaving. They expertly found the leak (despite it being hidden behind thick wood), sheathed the vulnerable area to present future punctures, and even resecured the wood they cut through so we wouldn't need to hire a carpenter, just a drywall expert. All done with a very friendly presence, great professionalism, and attention to detail.

Our AC broke a few days ago. Akian was able to schedule a service call within 24 hours. Jeremy arrived, quickly diagnosed and explained our HVAC issue, and provided an estimate for the cost to repair as well as options. He repaired the AC unit and provided detailed notes about what he did and recommendations going forward. I am very impressed with Akian and Jeremy in particular!

We woke up in the middle of the night to find out AC wasn’t working and it was very hot. Thankfully Akian had availability the same day we called, our technician Orlando was very professional and explained every step of the process along the way. He was very detailed and told us exactly what he was going to do and what he was finding so we were well informed, and made sure to ask before he did anything. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and got our AC back up and running in a couple hours which we were so thankful for! Their scheduling department was also very easy to work with, they are all responsive and made the entire process smooth. Orlando had to come twice and both times he came during the beginning of the 4 hr time frame that was given to us, once he even came a bit earlier. Would definitely recommend.

Antonio the technician was very thorough in inspecting the A/C system and took time explaining his findings. He addressed my questions and provided advice on optimizing the A/C performance. He was very professional, courteous, caring, and personable. Jeremy from Akian Customer Care was also excellent in scheduling and coordinating the appointment. Called back immediately, was able to get an appointment within 24 hours. Identified the issue and repaired the problem within another 24 hours at a reasonable price. From the receptionist to the plumbers all were very personable and professional.

I don’t usually review businesses. This one is a must. George is by far the best plumber and installer I’ve had. They are extremely prompt, professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Let me be clear the guy who showed up was very nice guy and was eager to help. However, It is very disappointing and what a waste of time (over 1.5hours spent) to have them come in to my house looking at what needs to be done, ask me bunch of questions, take videos and spend 45min in my driveway to only tell me in the end that they won't be able to do the overall job and that they typically are very expensive. What a shame.Bottom line, if the company isn't interested into a subset of the job then say that from the start so I don't have to waste my time answer bunch of questions...

I can’t say enough great things about Akian Plumbing and HVAC. I was without heat and hot water in February. My initial consult was with Steve Akian, who was fair and answered all of my questions and concerns, and he helped me with my insulation company. Zach the manager of the team came to my house to assess the job. He was detailed and loved on my dogs! Merrissa was always a text or phone call away throughout my project. Greg and team came to install my hot water heater, and they were friendly and efficient. I had a basement flood in the midst of the project, when electrician Chris came to connect the hot water heater’s electricity. Enter plumber Jessica who installed 2 sump pumps while Chris, Greg, and team removed the ankle deep water from my basement. My new heat pump system took 3 days to complete. There was an army of guys working in the basement and attic (sorry for all of the stairs). They were all friendly and professional and again loved on my dogs who were stressed with all of the activity. Jorge, Joseph, Jacob, Greg, Chris, and George were some of the army. To my surprise they even fixed my screen door. My new heating system is fantastic! Zach returned to finalize the project and spent time teaching me about my fancy new thermostats. Thank you to all of them!!! Donnele and another great crew member were back to clean my ducts which were pretty dirty. Another great service experience from Akian Plumbing! We recently purchased a new Fisher & Paykel refrigerator to replace our old GE that died after 18 years. The fridge comes with a sophisticated external water filtration kit that requires a licensed plumber to install so as not to void the refrigerator's warranty. Journeyman plumber Evan and his plumbing apprentice, Chris, were personable. polite, and professional. They accommodated my ask of them to review the installation instructions before starting the installation and then went on to expertly install the new water line and filtration system. They ensured that water was flowing to the water dispenser and ice-maker and that there were no drips or leaks before placing the fridge back into place and expertly leveling the feet so that the french doors were precisely leveled. I've used Akian previously for a complete gut-job bathroom renovation and to fix a corroded, leaking kitchen sink pipe, and I will continue to use them for our future plumbing needs.

I had the pleasure of working with Uriel on two separate service appointments to diagnose and resolve a long toilet tank water refill issue (after a flush cycle, it took 1+ minute for the toilet tank to refill) as I was getting my property to be ready to be potentially sold. Because my property is older, I ended up replacing the corroded and rusty Bathroom/ Kitchen/ Main emergency water shut-off valves to prevent any future potential leaks in addition to the toilet water supply line. He even checked my On-Demand Tankless Water Heater water pressure to see if it was up to my municipalities' code. Unrelated, Uriel even went so far as to help me inspect my old wall oven to see if it was operational ahead of any impending home inspections.Throughout it all, I had constant communication of Akian emails and texts for my appointment confirmation, day-of appointment technician estimated arrival time, estimates and invoices.Uriel provided professional, punctual, friendly, efficient and great clean-up service and didn't hesitate to wear mask/boot coverings when working inside my property.In the end, my toilet is working perfectly now and I'm a happy customer~ Request Uriel for all your plumbing repairs, you won't be disappointed!

My house had a furnace breakdown on a cold, stormy night earlier this week and Akian Plumbing was there for immediate help. Phil made himself available on the same day after hour and diagnosed the system very quickly. This is a company that is actually accountable, reliable, very professional, and fair, which you can't find too many in this industry. Their customer support is the most polite, most responsive, and most effective one I've seen. It's extremely easy to schedule appointment, and the procedures are followed promptly. It's also easy to give feedbacks and they take your feedbacks seriously. I used to have a problem with the company because there is a diagnosis fee their customer service and plumber did not tell me beforehand. However, their response after I feedback the problem to them is amazing. I simply replied to their automated message system about my experience, didn't expect anything will happen after that. But their manager actually then reach out personally asking about my experience and solving the problem for me. This level of customer relationship management is what you can never expect from other companies, especially in plumbing, contracting businesses. They actually care so much about their reputation and the feelings of the customers and they are in the business for the long game. There's a reason for so many good reviews you see. Very pleased with our experience with Akian. We've used 2 other local companies in the past for other projects and had reasonable experiences with both, but not amazing so we decided to try another company. Definitely was the best of the three. Would use them again easily. They were knowledgeable, easy to work with and were able to solve our issue better than we expected would be possible. Plus, the pricing was very fair.One note, I initially used a Google messaging option to contact them, but never heard back, however they were immediately responsive when I called. Best to avoid that Google service and just call them.

Replaced old leaky faucet with a new one that has a built in hose. Only reason review is not 5 stars is that it would have been nice if they purchased the faucet package with the soap dispenser, instead of just a chrome plug for the hole in the sink basin. Otherwise excellent service.

We had one of the worst experiences with a plumbing servcie. We had asked for a service and also to check why the furnace wasn't working. Instead the plumber took a number of pictures of the system on his Ipad, offered a number of different expensive plans, but did not do anything to fix the furnace. We had to call another plumber who got the furnace going in 10 minutes.

My house was struck by lightning and fried a heat pump and some wireless adapters. After another company came to fix it and didn't follow through with the job, I called Akian. They had a tech out a few days later to assess the damage and a team to fix it a few days after that. George, Justin, and Jhonathan were very professional and respectful of my home while performing the work. The communication with the office was excellent. Everything was in writing, I got texts and phone calls about arrival times, and was given a quote. I was even able to make a change on the adapters up until the time they needed to install them. The heat pump was installed in one day as quoted. I'm very happy I decided to give up on the other company and make the switch for the job. Thanks!

Really amazing experience. Our water heater and leaked all over the basement. We called Friday morning and they were able to come out within a couple hours, assess the situation, priced out several options for new water heater installation. Once the heater was in on Monday, they came and did a wonderful job installing. Very professional, left the area cleaner than before, and great communication. Plumber hires are often a hit or a miss, but Akian was definitely a hit. Would call again for sure.

She was very clear in her explanations and also super helpful.

Scheduled an appointment to repair a shower valve. Scheduling couldn't be easier and they even let you post a video of the problem. They were running a little late the day of the appointment but they called me right back when I called for an update. Bill came out to do the repair and was great. Quick and efficient.

We had Akian come in and install a new water tank. The plumber who came in was Jessica L. She did a fantastic job. She worked alone but was efficient and did a very thorough job. She was very professional and even made sure she cleaned up before she left. She was very attentive to our questions on water pressure and did everything to make sure her service was of high quality. We would surely be returning to Akian because of Jessica’s work.

We’ve used akian a lot this past year since we bought our new home and have been doing lots of improvements. 5 days before flying overseas to visit family we discovered that our hot water heater tank had started to leak. I called Akian Plumbing who had given us a quote for a combo on demand hot water heater and heating system boiler the previous year, and Steve not only booked us for the installation to start the very next day so that our vacation would not need to be changed, he also helped us find a newer model unit to keep the costs down since the manufacturer prices had increased since our quote the previous year. We received text updates about arrive times on each day that they were at our home working, and the technicians Uri, George, and Mani were very polite and very careful to keep our house clean as we have small children, they wore shoe covers, used drop cloths, and thoroughly vacuumed the work area each day before they left. They took lots of time to answer our questions before leaving and showed us how everything worked. During installation we discovered that a few of our bleeder vents on the radiators were corroded and not functioning properly so we paid to have those fixed as well. Evan R. came out another day and replaced the valves and also took time to make sure we were completely satisfied with the new hot water/heating system unit, even taking time to put some spray insulation around the outside vents and placing a vent cover to prevent any rodents or birds from entering the house. We had our mini split system installed by a different smaller company because it was cheaper, but the level of service, communication and instant availability (they have an after hours call service) was noticeably a huge improvement. I not only feel confident in the installation but I feel confident that Akian will stand behind their their product and make themselves available should we need anything fixed.

We had Jessica L. Help us with our bathroom and give us estimates for some other jobs. She was very respectful of our home and was able to appropriately fix our shower issue in a timely fashion!

I originally used Akian Plumbing when they were newer in the business. Their customer service attention was great because they were new and seeking to gain customers and good reviews, and they WERE good, though always on the expensive side. That higher price was worth the reliability in a pinch and the good service.Now, however, this is not the case. I had them look at a small job sometime maybe a year and a half ago. It's very small, installing a shutoff valve to separate two different pipes. Keep one running, shut the other off, valve added and a little bit if pipe, like less than 2ft. Originally they gave me a basic estimate but at the end of another job and not prepared to do it that day, no problem. I had the job description and estimate so I called back with the description and estimate for work to be done to schedule it later. I waited maybe 3 weeks to get that appt, they were busy. When the appt. arrived the tech came and said he was here to do an estimate, no time to do any job because he had one scheduled already. I was confused as I had waited like 3 weeks for the appt. Nothing I could do about it so I went ahead. He studied the situation and wrote up the job understanding that I was already frustrated to lose time and wait again. He said he would send the entire job description back to the office and next time I called he would make sure to make them give me a fast appt.Next time I called was about two weeks ago. I spoke to their office and referenced the job/estimate that I had in my email at this point and they said Ok they would call me back to schedule- they never did. Another weekend went by, I called them again, same reference, same job, and I was finally able to schedule something for a week later. Today the tech showed up at the appointed time, nice and courteous, but the office had given him absolutely no information about the job, just told hm to show up and he had a price, that was all. He studied the job but was not really sure how to go about doing it, and it was mostly MY advice of how it should be done that got us to a resolution. I am not a plumber and should not be giving this kind of guidance.He said the original guy who did the estimate was no longer with them, and from what I was describing he would have to make an entirely new estimate which would be more expensive. Apparently the office either did not have or would not give him (could not find?) any job description.This is a really small job that really should not talk a lot of research for an experienced plumber and a well run office, which this is not at this point. I was not willing to then do a third estimate and a fourth visit. I realize at this point that as this company has grown they have dropped the ball. Customer service is no longer the priority and they are not organized. As a customer my scheduling time is also valuable. Endless scheduling waiting, re-scheduling, complete lack of information retained, and ever changing prices has made me think I am wasting my time and likely my money.The owner is a nice guy, and I am sorry to write this review but guy, run your business better. No one wants to be dragged like this. if the prices were cheap perhaps I could accept some irresponsible disorganization and wasting time, but this business prices at the high end, with a low end experience, now.

Very quick, efficient, and fair pricing!

Akian was fast at responding and was able to send a person to check out my 2 sump pumps within 2 days (most places I called had 2-3 weeks lead time). The specialist was very professional and polite, but unfortunately didn't tell me what the issue was with my sump pump. He just gave me a few quotes to service the pump and/or replace the backup battery which would cost ~1k - 3k depending on the service. One annoying thing was that when he was taking pictures of the pumps, he opened one of the sump lids and didn't properly place it back, which led the rubber sealer to fall into the basin and block the float valve. A couple days later, my backup pump valve alarm went off since it was triggered, luckily it was working as expected. I was a first time customer so received a discounted dispatch fee, but I felt like I could have gotten these quotes over the phone since they did not diagnose the issue on my sump pumps.

On the day of the appointment, their technician, Manny, arrived exactly when promised, and completed and tested the work in a professional, efficient and courteous manner. We needed a thermostat rewired. The company was responsive and dispatched a technician expeditiously. We were happy with the work.NOTE: this company charges “ by the job”, not by the hour. I’ve used Akian a couple of times. They have always been professional and they actually call you back. They located a leak that 3 other plumbers could not. I also like that they txt and call to confirm the appointment. My most recent experience, John and Evan finished a job early and called to see if they could come by early. They were thorough and investigated several possible sources for a recent leak. Great job guys!

Called Akian to repair my AC. Technician James very professional arrived and inspected AC. Had to do a system evaluation and found out that thermostatic expansion valve needed replacement. He called it a heart transplant on a 8 year old unit. He quoted $3273 to repair the unit. I told him that I would like to check with my engineer at work to see if that is inline and he got fast defensive and said if I don’t decide now they will not return my system evaluation fee of $199.Luckily I decided to check and found out that the price was rediculous for the quoted work. The part that needed replacing was $150 and yes the labor is expensive for this job but not $3000. I got the AC unit fixed for $1500 with a different vendor. Check online for average TXV Valve replacements. You will be as shocked as I was.

We had a water heater leak. I called Akian Plumbing at 3:20pm and at 4:30 a plumber was checking out the leak! He drained the water and returned at 9:30 the next morning to replace the water heater. Manny explained everything and was quite efficient. We will definitely call Akian if the need arises.

We had an emergency leak because of a damaged water pipe on a Saturday morning. After searching for (and calling many) plumbers, I finally found Akian. They responded quickly to text messages and got someone to my house in about 20 minutes. The plumber who came, Bill, was so friendly and got right to work; it was really helpful to have someone so easy to deal with during a stressful situation. My boiler all of a sudden failed, leaving my whole fam living in Elsa's land for two days. After trying to deal with a company that wouldn't help and wouldn't care, I found Akian. I pleased so far with the company, especially with Mike and Meg who warmed my heart in this cold weather emergency. Meg was amazing at scheduling the visit and taking into account that we hadn't showered in two days and were surviving on hot canned chicken broth to fight the cold INSIDE of the house. She promptly sent Mike, and he was great and very patient with my limited understanding on how heating systems work. He took his time and explained it to me in very easy to understand language with great examples and visual aids. I even told him he should consider teaching, to be honest. The job isn't finished but I'm sure they will be great. Highly recomend!

A nice young man named Evan came and handled my pipes very well, they were quite clogged with years of build up. He was very smart, polite and efficient. He cleaned my pipes and made sure they worked great before he left. I've used Akian for several plumbing calls and each time they have met or exceeded my expectations.When we moved into our new home in Newton, their team came out to help temporarily remove some radiators so that we could do some work to the walls behind them.When our rental properties in Watertown had issues pop up (water heaters that had reached their end of life, leaky shower faucets, etc.) they ALWAYS responded very quickly.If there are ever any issues...they are the ones that I trust to address them.

After searching for someone to replace my garbage disposal, I got a response on yelp from Megan from Akian. She was so helpful and efficient when it came to giving me the quote and setting up my service appointment. Two days later, Bill showed up and he was super friendly and helpful- showed me how to fix my new garbage disposal if it ever gets clogged and even changed out the aerator screen on my sink because mine had buildup just because he noticed it was gross. Beware of price gauging- Called for a small job, after paying the $99 dispatch fee, the tech quoted me $850 for the job. He said the job would take 30-60 minutes. Retail the parts cost $30-50. I asked for an itemized breakdown of the cost. He called the dispatch, and they could not and would not give an itemized breakdown of the cost. Job was completed by another company for $208.Update: The owner saw the review and called to check in. We had a wonderful conversation, he explained why there is no line item breakdown (they pay their employees more than most companies, offer retirement benefits etc). He then said he would follow up on the pricing- he called a few days later, there had been a mistake with the coding of the job and the actual cost would have been significantly less. He mentioned they uses it as an opportunity for training for the employees. Really lovely, will use them again

I used this company to check my hvac system out. Phillip was incredibly punctual, and professional. I had some questions and he was extremely thorough in his responses for me. He was courteous in my home which I really appreciated. My husband had come in towards the end of his visit and he took the opportunity to go over everything with him and explain each issue over again. I recommend them highly.

I call about a heating system emergency; our furnace is broken on a cold week. Their earliest availability is in four days. But since it is an emergency, they make some calls, and send over someone immediately. In this day and age, when HVAC companies rarely respond or show up.Manny comes over, identifies the problem, and fixes it. All along, he is honest about what he may or may not be able to do. We are lucky, the current problem was solvable. But he points out that the heater is old. He lays out options for the future; we may replace the flame sensor that caused the current problem if the same issue arises; we should consider a complete system replacements; and he has identified a list of worn out parts if we want to try to extend life of existing system. No pushiness, no BS, just reasonable opinions.I can't know if all their technicians are as knowledgable and capable as Manny. But next time we have HVAC needs, we are calling Akian again.

I hired Akian to install a new central air system in my older Cape home after issues dealing with another HVAC company. The project ended up being extraordinarily complex and required the reworking of the ducts in a confined crawl space. Antonio and Rich spent a total of six days reworking the system during a massive heat wave. They were professional, timely and dedicated to ensuring the system was install properly. Knowledge and experience are critical to the proper installation of an HVAC system and despite unforeseen challenges I was more than confident in Antonio and Rich’s abilities. Highly recommend.

I needed a leaking water heater to be replaced promptly. Akian were very responsive. They gave me an immediate appointment, kept me updated of the time of arrival of their technician via both test messages and email, and they arrived on the promised time. They gave me 5 different estimates based on the extent of work I wanted to be done, from just basic replacement to additional bells and whistles that would prevent and notify about unnoticed leak. All were explained in detail. There was no sales pressure. All my questions were adequately answered. Once we came to an agreement, they came back first thing in the morning on the next day and spent the better part of the day in repair and replacement of the defective equipment. They also noticed an imminent leak that was about to happen in a valve in the adjacent heating system boiler, they offered solution and were able to execute immediate remedial. Their engineer and workers were knowledgeable, polite, efficient and very professional.

Steve is very careful to clearly identify what he sees to be the problem and how he proposes to fix it. Gregor is very respectful of the home he is working in, and is careful to correct the problem with minimal disturbance to the impacted areas. They are a great team which we look forward to doing more work with.

I was impressed with Akian from the start. Easy to schedule and they later called to offer an earlier appointment after a cancellation. We needed our central A/C system repaired and received quotes from other companies recommending complete replacement, which we thought was an oversell. Bobby from Akian was professional and able to repair our existing system and also perform some maintenance to make it run more efficiently. I will definitely be using them for all HVAC needs as they are an honest outfit that does quality work.

We needed to replace our heat pump urgently and were looking for quotes, so we called several companies, including Akian. The issue is that Akian appeared to be the only one who neither picked up the phone nor ever called back. If we had been looking for, say, maintenance package then I would have called again - no problem, however our case was urgent. In general, Akian appeared to be the type of companies I hate the most: they seem to achive some reputation already and then started acting like gods and expecting customers to call them again and again. If you are that type of customer who don't value your own time then, please, feel free to call/hire Akian. Otherwise, stay away - there are many good companies/contractors nearby - hope Akian will realize it soon too!

Our building started experiencing a leak that shut our units water off only a few days after Christmas. When I called I got a they took down my info and sent it off to a dispatcher. The dispatcher was quick to respond and get someone over the same day.James and Chris came quickly and showed up super enthusiastic to fix our problem. They were polite, professional, personal, and just all around great to work with. They provided clear communication on what they were doing and why they were doing it. They were clear about the prices the whole way through the process.As a first time home owner, this leak made me incredibly nervous, especially around the holidays. Everyone from the first call to the last meeting was incredibly kind and comforting.TLDR: if you have the budget don’t bother calling anyone else. This service is well beyond what I could have expected.

Akian made my kitchen sink disaster much less stressful. I called and had an appointment booked quickly, they sent me photos of the employees they sent ahead of time, and they were very professional. My sink was fixed the same day and they notified me every step of the way what they were doing and gave me 3 options for fixing the sink. All in all, this was a great experience and I will definitely be utilizing Akian for all my upcoming plumbing needs!

Akian Plumbing does high quality work and is competitively priced. They recently replaced my shower drain and did great fast work and they were on time. I felt they charged fairly given the short notice. They also did a plumbing inspection of my waterline and basement. The owner came, and he is a master plumber. His knowledge is vast, and he had offered numerous tips and pieces of information that were extremely helpful for free. I definitely recommend this company.

I reached out to Akian with a malfunctioning boiler. They were professional and courteous and able to fit me in same day despite not being a regular customer. Everything about the scheduling was organized, clear and timely. The engineer who arrived to assess our system (Manny) was professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough. The process was transparent and he walked me through everything he did and how he arrived at his assessment via diagnostics. He tracked down the parts and arranged to come back and finalize the fix quickly. I am very satisfied with my experience and will use Akian going forward for boiler maintenance and repair.

First of all, Akian's office scheduled a window of time when we were available for the repair, which is industry standard, but then their office followed up with an exact time on the day of the service with a text picture of the technician and his background, then the technician called on his way, very nice touch, so I was not waiting endlessly for their arrival and could do other things, very impressive. When Bill arrived we described our shower issue, Bill diagnosed the problem, gave us 3 options and then I asked him for his recommendation, Bill's insight to the likely issue with the components involved was very clear on the potential wear factor of the Simmons assembly. We went with his recommendation and when the work was completed with Dominic, his junior technician that Bill was very professionally mentoring for Dominic's future in the Plumbing repair field, the decision was spot on. The components showed the wear and defects that Bill anticipated. As a customer with a cold start with a technician, Bill professionally introduced himself, via the call on route to our home, then explained the repair options and then delivered a timely cost effective solution with no surprises, always appreciated. Bill is a perfect example of what customer service needs to be in the Plumbing industry while at the customer site, from putting on shoe booties before entering the house to closing with an efficient billing process. I had a very positive experience with Akian Plumbing. I live in an old building, built circa 1910 which until today had its original bathtub/showers plumbing and fixtures. For years I have been trying to get some updating. Other plumbers have shied away from this work, expressing concern for the integrity of the tile wall. Mike from Aikian reassured me that he would be able to do the work, which involved cutting into original 1910 tiles without any dire consequences. He did the work as promised, taking time to show me the works from behind the wall. He and his assistant also did a lovely clean up job.

I am happy to be able to leave Akian Plumbing a 5-star review. When I called on a Monday, I anticipated an appointment being scheduled at least a week out (it wasn't an emergency, but a seriously clogged pipe leading to very slow water drainage). When I called the office, I spoke to an extremely pleasant gentleman, we worked out the details and he was able to send someone to me first thing the next morning. The plumber arrived right around 7 as promised and he was great. I explained the two issues and he started right away, as he was going through his process and had to try alternate steps to fix the problem, he came and talked me through what he was doing and how he was doing it - not that I understood all of it but I appreciated the explanation! He also very politely asked me to check his work once he was able to fix both issues, answered a few of my questions and was in and out in 90 minutes. I don’t often take the time to do a review on businesses I use but the service, response and professionalism of this company was outstanding. I was able to book everything through text with a rep. They had strict COVID protocols in place which is reassuring. When the tech was on his way I got a text with his name, a little bit about him and a picture - LOVED THIS! The gentleman that did our repairs was friendly, clean and on time. He worked quickly and explained the issues with each item he worked. I had to buy the faucet which I did at Frank Webb in Watertown. Akian's plumber charged me $712.00 to install this basic faucet in the bathroom. ( $79.00 deposit plus an additional $633.00)Never again will we use or recommend Akian!!I would like to apologize to Akian Plumbing. At the time I didn't realize that they also had changed a shut off valve. After reviewing everything that was a very fair price. They even gave me a refund of $100.00. I would recommend them & will call them in the near future when needed.I would give them 4 1/2 stars.

We had a leak in our shower which sprayed water back into the wall and we noticed water trickling along the wall in the bottom floor. They came in and was able to identify the problem which was related to loose installation of shower head and faulty washer. They were supposed to arrive in the morning session but go delayed and arrived in the afternoon. However, they constantly kept us updated so that we knew where they were. They were polite and efficient.

Got a replacement water heater from Akian. Love that they presented me with some options and also give me time to go over the options and make the decision. They were very responsive and willing to answer all the questions that I had. Scheduling for appointment was a breeze, Merrissa was very helpful in scheduling the installation. James and George did the installation. They were very professional. They were able to get the installation done within the promised time window. They also make sure that after the installation was done, they clean up the area. After the installation, they took the time to answer any question that I have and also offered some tips on maintaining the water heater.

A very nice Akian technician named Uriel came within an hour of my initial call to the office. He was obviously very capable, very polite, organized and efficient. He replaced broken valves under the kitchen sink.He thoroughly checked his work and cleaned up before he left. He gave me a good advice on how to maintain the pipes clean. It is clear that he takes a lot of pride in his work, and his excitement about customer satisfaction and explaining what he is doing is palpable. When James first arrived, he was looking to make use of more space in my small utility closet, but I requested that he work within the confines of what was there. He took it as a challenge and managed to find a creative and attractive way to route piping while still giving me the storage room I need. We recently moved into a new home, and Akian has been incredibly helpful as we work out the kinks in the new place, which has some eccentric plumbing and heat. John S. figured out what was going when we couldn't get heat or hot water in parts of the house, and he really seemed to know his stuff. When the ancient central air system died in May, Akian saved us again—big thank-you's to Phil O., who diagnosed the issue and offered options for repair, and to Zach L. and the rest of the team who installed the new system *in the middle of a June heat wave* in our boiling hot attic. Despite the conditions, they were steady, efficient, and personable, and when there turned out to be a manufacturing issue with the unit they installed, they swapped it out for a new one the same day. When the AC acted up again (not Akian's fault—it was an issue with the original drain in our attic) Zach came back and fixed the drain on a Sunday night.My experience with Akian is that they always quote you lots of options, including work you may not feel the need to have done right away, and if you're like me, you may want to get second opinions to figure out the best course of action. A couple of times, I've opted not to go ahead with smaller jobs or replacements that an Akian technician suggested, but I've never, ever been given a hard sell or felt any kind of pressure. Other times, quotes from other services have been comparable in price and the type of service recommended. Everyone at Akian, from the technicians to the office staff, has been courteous and helpful, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of work.

Barry came out twice to work on my unit; Bobby and Kevin also contributed to the fix coming out as well. It was a complicated repair (high voltage power surges fry a lot of pieces) paired with some some supply chain delays, but I am so glad to have heat again. The team was very professional. Barry was An especially good communicator explaining the situation. I will absolutely be using this company for all future servicing.

Within 24 hours of reporting a busted hot water heater an Akian crew, James, Alexandria and Josh, scoped out the situation, clearly explained 5 or 6 replacement options, and installed a new system. Professional, friendly and amazingly efficient -- and made sure we understood the new hot water tank's features and safety precautions. I worked with Phil from Akian plumbing, for a review of my 20 years old central AC and how to replace it in Belmont. Phil was on time and he sent a text before hand . Also Akian sent me an email and a text with a reminder. Phil, explained me the whole process of a new AC, about a new site for the outside condenser. Stephen was truly amazing. He arrived at our home masked, took off his shoes without being asked, gave us all the time needed to thoroughly check out our dead AC system from 50 years ago and made great recommendations going forward. No high pressure, options, great explanations and quotes - he could not have been more responsive to our situation and our concerns and we look forward to having him do all the work involved going forward on several projects.

We worked with Manny from Akian on our HVAC project and it turned out to be a great great experience. Overall, Manny has deep knowledge of HVAC systems. He performed professional work and paid attention to many details.Our HVAC had some serious problems because the previous company we hired didn't install the smart thermostats right and messed up the wiring. Manny came up, investigated the AC in the attic and the furnace in the basement, and thought carefully for 5-10 minutes. Then he explained the potential problem and provided very reasonable quotes with different options. After I accepted the quote, he implemented the proposal which fixed the problem right away. He even cleaned up the chaos wiring by the previous company. During the process, he was willing to answer any questions. I learned a lot from him and really enjoyed the conversations. Manny always put on shoes' cover whenever entering the living space and took them off whenever entering the attic and basement. Given he had to move from one place to another quite often, I really appreciate his consideration and the discipline he stuck to.Finally, I also believe Akian really engages in their business and cares about their clients. They are fully transparent about anything they charge, with detailed breakdowns. In addition, they catalog clients' HVAC and plumbing systems and record all the work they have done on them. This makes things trackable for the long term, which I think is incredibly important for things that need regular maintenance.Definitely 5-star for Manny and Akian. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Andy and John did a great job! Both were very polite, professional and kept me up-to-date as the job was taking place. Ran into some unforeseen issues because of me living in an old building. They handled it very well, they apologized for the problems even though it wasn't their fault and got the job done as quickly as they could. I would definitely recommend using them.

Absolutely terrific experience--by far the best in my 40+ years as a homeowner. From the very first call I placed to follow-up on billing and paperwork, the professionalism was awesome. Our technician, William, really knows what he's doing (and didn't drag along an unskilled intern to practice on our job). I had a MAJOR disaster - hot water heater sprang a leak in the middle of the night and we found it in the morning along with 5 inches of water over the entire basement. Akian have an emergency contact line and called me back as soon as I reached out first thing in the morning.They were jam packed for the day but scheduled me for an emergency visit at the end of the day. But a technician freed up early and arrived by 2pm.By 4:30pm the hot water heater was fully replaced and all was back in order.This is the 3rd time in the last 12 months Akian has saved me in a pinch!The pricing is fair and everyone I have dealt with have been very courteous and professional. These guys rock!

I had Akian assess my HVAC unit to determine if it needed maintenance or replacement. Phil was very thorough and thoughtful. He took lots of pictures and used these to help explain to me what was needed. He took the time to find the specifics parts needed for my unit since they were not standard so that he could provide me an estimate before he left.

Charges around 1000 dollars per hour for plumbing, which seems to be typical in Watertown. We called them in because our whole-house water filter was leaking. My main issue is that after they came, they said we needed this expensive plumbing job to replace the water filter unit, when it turned out that there was a scratch on an easily replaceable part of our filter unit. I'm very thankful I called my dad to take a look because he found the scratch so it cost us a total of 79$ instead of 1500$.

Good experience with Akian. They were able to fit us in for a same day visit when our boiler was having issues.Initially, the first tech was a little pushy with maintenance plans and other suggested services, but after indicating I just wanted to repair the issue at hand, all was fine.Randy showed up on time to complete the work, was professional, and took care of the issue without incident. I called Akian at 8:00 am for help unclogging my bathroom sink drain. Jessica arrived by 9:15 am. She explained the possible work that might be needed, then fixed the drain quickly. Jessica also fixed another issue I’d been having with the sink (the stopper would not rise high enough to allow water to easily drain, even when the sink was not clogged). And she adjusted my toilet’s flush mechanism so that I no longer need to hold down the handle when flushing. I am so grateful for this superior service, delivered as always, with Akian, with friendliness and professionalism.

Akian Plumbing HVAC is always reliable and professionsl. George was great! He explained the job and worked diligently to remove an old leaking toilet and replaced it with a new one. It was a tough job with old supply lines and drain pipes. He worked non-stop until it was done. A very nice guy as well!

We called Akian with a leaky toilet tank that would periodically refill itself and a leaky garbage dispose-all. They came to assess and said the toilet probably couldn’t be fixed and should be fully replaced. And quoted us several thousand dollars to buy, replace, and add deluxe warranty for dispose-all and toilet. We then bought a replacement gasket for toilet mechanism for $4 on Amazon and fixed it with help from a YouTube video in 15 minutes. Will do same for dispose-all. Major upsell. They also said we should replace our 10-yr old water heater which works perfectly fine.

Evan and Chris were the technicians for our laundry tower installation, and I had a great experience with both of them. They kindly agreed to remove our old laundry units and bring them out to the curb which was difficult and above and beyond the services they charged for. In addition, when our new washer was making a loud rubbing/grinding noise, we were able to research and diagnose the issue (caused by the manufacturer) and they stayed longer to remove the 4 “shipping bolts” in the back of the LG unit, an issue that they had never encountered before. These guys get the job done right.

So pleased with all of the guys and their work. Friendly, courteous, communicative, professional and extremely conscientious with their work. Thank you! Highly recommend!!

My water heater burst on a Saturday, and I had a new water heater replaced by Akian within a few days. Akian was very thorough in explaining every step of the process and providing several options that fit my needs and budget. Although they are more expensive than other options, the quality of work and service saved me the typical headaches I've had when dealing with other companies in the area. Evan and Chris did great work, and even stayed late to make sure the job was done. They were extremely professional and courteous.

Called about a problem with my heater. The technician was helpful at first but the minute he found a problem with my system he cut the wires and condemned the system and refused to repair the furnace housing, instead quoting me for a full conversion from oil to natural gas. The visit was expensive, I got charged a flat service fee and for some work, about 30 minutes of it, even though no repairs were done. Only reason I didn't throw him out was he said he could get me some space heaters while my heating system was down from the wires he cut, but those never showed up when I took him up on the offer. Didn't really care if we froze on a cold day, it seems.

James came to our home to perform our annual HVAC maintenance. He was professional and thorough. He also worked on several estimates for future work. We’ve been with Akian ever since we bought our home. They’ve consistently been excellent and always have the kindest team members.

The boiler were broken in the coldest day and called Akian. Jeremy showed up quickly and found the problem on the controller board. He made a temporary rescue and we got heat back. He and Steve came next day to change the board. A little pricy but very nice work! We immediately recommended them to another friend! Like these people and the services!

Even after a busy day with record cold temperatures, George A. still made a great effort to come out and replace my toilet. Akian pluming is awesome! I had damage from a storm that included a vent pipe that came crashing through my kitchen ceiling. Called Akian (at the recommendation of my neighbor) at 7 pm on a Friday and received a call back 15 minutes later from Steven. He made an appointment available next day and the technician (Manny) arrived early to complete the repair. Manny was great and took the time to explain what he was doing and he thoroughly cleaned up the debris from the repair. I highly recommend the Akian Plumbing team!

Originally, there was a bit of a scheduling mix-up, but Steve Akian, the owner of the business, made everything right and then some through outstanding service from himself and his colleague Antonio. They did a thorough tune-up and maintenance of two Central AC units for a single family home -- two units that had been somewhat neglected (and poorly serviced by other providers) for the past several years, with one of the units severely challenged with low refrigerant and a capacitor issue. Given that the units are only ~7 years old, and with the comprehensive servicing performed by Antonio, I can envision these units going another 10-15 years, with annual maintenance. I will be sure to use Akian for our annual maintenance going forward to prevent future issuesMost impressively, our outdoor condenser units are now shining, with Steve and Antonio taking the time to thoroughly scrub these units inside and out, including taking the covers of the units off and cleaning out built-up debris and leaves.

Evan went above and beyond .Most companies looks at customers as a number but not Akian .Morale and professionalism they are top tier!!!!

Excellent service on repairs to a leaking valve on our burner by Bill and his assistant, including his replacing a failed pressure gauge on the furnace itself, as well as diagnosing and fixing a problem with the top floor zone of our four story house. All in less than two hours, including a trip to a plumbing supply for parts! Megan was great--she arranged to squeeze in our appointment just a couple of hours after we called. We have two more upcoming HVAC upgrades in our house which I briefly discussed with Bill that we plan to contract with Akian when this heating season ends. Akian is definitely a five star operation!

Fixed everything so quickly and was really polite and explained the issues easily enough for me (who knows zero about plumbing) to understand and made sure I was satisfied with the fix before leaving. Will be using again for any plumbing needs, and recommending to others in the area.

Jessica was nice but her quote is 5 times more than a professional plumber charge. Quote replace shower cartridge for dripping and garbage disposal for a little over $1000. I called another license plumber and did both jobs for 30 min and cost $200.

Barry and James came out on short notice to fix our leaking AC unit, and did so efficiently while a planning throughly everything they did.

We used akian plumbing due to a leak in the garbage disposal. The company had to cancel our appointment twice and we were told it was a combination of low staffing and other urgent appointments. This was inconvenient, but once the engineer got here, it was handled very professionally and quickly. Evan was friendly, informative and gave tips on how to troubleshoot should we have any issues down the line with the new garbage disposal (had to replace the leaky one). Overall, despite the scheduling issues, we are pleased with the service and repair.

I've been an architect for 50 years and I've never had better service! Their coordination, follow up and accommodation was also the best I've ever experienced. They are excellent in solving problems especially with old plumbing and HVAC systems.

Due to a shortage of skilled plumbers, getting plumbers to even show up is a challenge in 2023. That being said Akian excels at their service, reachability, and getting talented plumbers to show up. Contacting them is effortless and their communication is amazing. They get a grade A for service. I dealt with two of their plumbers, Jess and Uriel. They are both very friendly, professional, and good at their trade. If you need plumbing help ASAP and need someone to call, I would highly recommend Akian. Now the negatives, Akian's prices go above the brink of gun point robbery and Robber Barrons. If you call them, just know you will spend $1000+ for even the most basic or simplest task. I know they are good and could get the job done but I would be petrified to call them if I had a serious plumbing issue because I know their quote would be easily five figures. They returned for the second time to hook up my gas, which was included in the first price I paid, which was north of $1,000. Since they were already here, I figured they could hook up my new kitchen sink, which I had the new faucet, the new piping, and all of the parts. They quoted me $900. Seriously $900 to hook up a kitchen sink with all of the parts. I understand the scarcity of plumbers and the increased prices due to it being a challenge to get a plumber to show up but really $900 to hook up a sink! $500 to do 30 minutes of work would have been unreasonable and insane but $900 is pretty much gunpoint robbery. I obviously just did it myself and got someone to help me for $100. The thing that pains me is the prospect of a single mother only wanting clean water for her kids and getting an outrages quote, such as this. I am all for paying a premium to get quality service and save time but this is just nuts. This pricing model is similar to McDonald's trying to charge someone $250 for a Big Mac. All of this being said, Akian has amazing service, employees amazing people, and does amazing work. If you are willing to pay extreme multiples for the service just to get it done, then definitely call them. But as I stated earlier, I have trepidation in regards to calling them if I had a serious issue because they would probably quote me $9,000 to fix a serious leak or frozen pipe. It would not be good to have to deal with an unreliable plumber who may or may not show up but I would certainly take that chance for a 70% price difference.

Akian Plumbing did a fantastic job, I'm very satisfied with the work they've done. They went above and beyond in several areas, and have provided good follow up support as well.I had my ancient oil furnace/AC/water heater removed, and replaced with a state of the art heat pump, gas furnace, and water heater. They identified problems with the duct work and removed unused ducting, making the system more efficient.They could have just installed the equipment, but Steve/Mike/Bobby/Antonio all did more than they had to - from helping to clean up a small oil spill (that wasn't their fault), to giving me pointers on insulating my duct work, to recommending better filtration options, and catching other problems (like my aging water line)I'm hoping not to need to replace my heating system again for some time, but I look forward to working with everyone at Akian again.

Manny was the technician and he had to replace about 2 feet of cast iron piping in my cellar. This is the drainage-outtake line. He did a great job, was very polite and efficient. Job looks well done.

Akian replaced my furnace and hot water tank with a high-efficiency boiler. Steve, the owner, gets personally involved at the front-end as well as inspecting the work as it was progressing. He spent a lot of time talking me through my options and answering my question. I never felt pressured. His team is also very professional with good communication throughout the project. They also use the latest technology to keep things organized and professional (like processing the contract via DocuSign). They are also great when things go wrong. The unit they first installed malfunctioned due to a manufacturing issue. The Akian team was able to secure a replacement unit the next day to finish the job as quickly as possible. The quality of the job was fantastic. Just look at the pictures. It is a piece of art. And they left everything in very clean condition. I would use Akian again.

My air condition thermostat stopped working. Called them today, and was told to charge me $99 trip fee for their technician to come to my house although I just live in 15-minutes away from watertown. They told me that their earliest available time is 10 days later. I would suggest avoiding this business.

Manny and Dominic are technicians who came to help me today. My kitchen sink is clogged for about 2 weeks.They found the problem in couple minutes, and gave me some options to fix the issue. The price is transparent. They showed the estimations of different options before they fix the issue. You can ask them about those options. Their recommendations are practical and professional.After they fixed the issue. They also clean up my sink and put my dishwasher's drain pipe (which I removed it myself before because of the blockage) back to my disposal. Nice service. If you don't know who to find when you have blockage issues. I would say give them a try!

In all cases, they were quick to respond, and provided excellent service. I’ve used Akian Plumbing 3 times now. They are very professional. They are usually on time or text to reschedule during your window. Their prices are reasonable, and they do a quality job.

I have used Akian for multiple projects, including replacing a radiator and transitioning from a forced hot water oil heat system to a high efficiency natural gas system. I will continue to use Akian because they go to great lengths to make sure everything works and that your problem is solved. For example, after installing our new system, we had a minor problem with one piece, and they stayed true to their word and warranty and came back to fix it at no charge several years later (a fix that would have normally cost over $1500). They have built trust with me and I will continue to call them first any residential plumbing projects.

We had an AMAZING experience with Akian Plumbing. From the initial inquiry to the completed project, this was hands down the best experience we could have asked for.I submitted an estimate request online after hours and immediately received a response from the owner. We scheduled the service call for the same week, working around my schedule.Grigor arrived promptly on the scheduled service day. He was extremely informative and made us feel comfortable about getting the bottom of the issue. He respectfully explained everything to us and talked through the entire process and gave us all our options.Our pipes froze two years ago and we needed to check to see if the radiator units were cracked and the extent of the issue. We had been using our electric heat while trying to get the problem resolved. We had three other plumbers/companies come out to look at the work that needed to be done over the past two years. Their service was extremely poor, slow and they ended up quoting us 3X (literally) the cost we ended up paying with Akian Plumbing. We had been putting off fixing the issue because of the extremely high price quote and hassle of working with these other companies. Akian Plumbing fixed the problem the same day! It turned out the pipes were not cracked, and only one radiator needed to be replaced.We are young homeowners and we are so thankful to have found such a wonderful plumbing company we can use for many years to come. I had a faucet and sink issue and I reviewed the online reviews of everyone else and they seemed very responsive and professional. I contacted them and had an appointment within a very short period of time. Uri and George were excellent in determining the problem, explaining the problem to me who knows nothing about plumbing, and providing fair estimates for the work that was to be completed. They perform the work on the spot and the price met the estimate. They also left it very clean and were very quiet as I was working in the other room. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

Great experience with them! Had a 17 year old central AC system that was dying -- still worked, but cost a fortune to run, and the condenser coil sounded like a transport helicopter landing every time it started up. It took a little while for all the parts to come and to match schedules, which meant that the new system unfortunately ended up getting installed during a heat wave. The 5 stars were really earned by the technician Zach, who did a hell of a job keeping me informed and up to date while working in a brutally hot crawlspace.The one thing that I'd ding Akian maybe 1/4 of a star on is that they should probably budget a bit of extra time for contingency . At my house, they hit a couple of issues that required extra time to work around, which meant the job took longer than estimated. Not a huge deal, but I think the initial two-day estimate was a little too optimistic. That's a minor ding, though; everything else was great. Definitely recommended.

We recently had to replace our furnace right before the holiday on a Sunday. we have a newborn and it’s winter so did not want to wait and thankfully Steve and Jeremy called me back right away and Jeremy offered to come that night, but after several hours late Sunday night and a quick visit the next morning we determined we had to just replace it. Jeremy worked everything out and got us a new furnace during a holiday week just a few days later. Bobby and Brian were here first thing a few days later and had everything back up and running by lunch. I do wish they carried a few more options for furnace options seeing as it’s such a big expense, but service was great and everyone was extremely helpful.

Naomi handled most of the administrative details when i first contacted the business. She was so kind and helpful. Very pleasant and responsive.Evan, plumber, came out to assess the problem with my water heater. He was amazing. Very knowledgeable, very accommodating around my needs, thorough and professional. On top of this, he is a delight to work with.At this writing, i am working with scheduler to set up the water heater replacement appointment. My schedule is horrendous--but team is working hard to accommodate my specific needs.

Totally reliable whether for an emergency or regular scheduled service. Every time a technician came to my house they were courteous and respectful of my home. Everything they did was documented with a writeup and photographs. The last job was annual furnace maintenance and Orlando was assigned to the task. A first class technician who gets 5 stars. Akian replaced my hot water heater and boiler with a combined unit that provides both hot water on demand and hot water baseboard heat. The whole team was great: professional and focused on customer service. Evan, in particular, went above and beyond. When the original plan for the direct vent wouldn’t work for various reasons, he found an alternative location for the direct vent (no small feat in a condo building). He worked hard to ensure the project was completed within the original estimated timeframe, despite the delays caused by the direct vent issues. He did fantastic work, and whatever they pay him is not enough!

Per my contract, the job start time was 8a and end time 9a. I took 3 hours off work. I called them at 8:51 to find out where the plumber is and they told me the GPS took him to another client and that he would be there in an hour. I cancelled my appointment and then had multiple texts arguing with me!! Terrible customer service and no respect for other people's time.

Tech Phil O is kind, knowledgeable, savvy and spoke highly of his experience with Akian Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. However, I am compelled to report to future customers that although I appreciated the new customer discount & happily agreed to pay the dispatch fee upon Phil's immediate arrival, I would have appreciated knowing up front of their existing company policy that excludes my R-22 cooling system. New customers beware: After paying the upfront dispatch fee, the Akian tech will not disclose anything until you pay more. In my case, after already looking at the air-handler in the attic to determine what system I had, I was then asked to pay an additional fee to continue. I would have appreciated if Phil was upfront with me about their policy before collecting another fee. I should not have been asked to pay the fee before telling me they will not repair my system anyway. ($99 + $199 - $50 = a 248 dollar waste of time & money - not to mention a bad business model) I did appreciate, though, Phil replaced a leaky valve in the system. Thank you. DAWFollowing-up here: Akian did the right thing & refunded me the $248 with a sincere apologies & they will adopt a new “up-front” policy moving forward.Thank You Tara. Respectfully, DAW

My AC wasn't working and Akian sent out a tech called Phil to help diagnose the problem. It was easy to book an appointment and they were very responsive in confirming. Tech was very professional and arrived on time. I am awaiting my estimate and may contract them to do the repair work.

Evan from Akian and his team helped us out with a replacement for our broken boiler. They were great. Finished the job early and worked well in our house an accommodating our family. They had to turn off our heat and hot water to do the replacement and they supplied us with space heaters that kept us going until they finished. Evan and the team was very friendly.

Very courteous and professional. Very clear about work that needs to be done and how much it will cost. Have not had the work done but will post again once it is completed.

Everyone who works here is top tier. We replaced our AC system with them and it was a seamless experience. Everyone in scheduling/reception to technicians was kind and personable. Our new AC was installed in one day and within 5 days of finding out it was broken. Cannot recommend them enough!

Technician, Mike, came to our house at the promised time, He was courteous, personable, and knowledgeable. He also was covid19 prepared with a mask, gloves and booties. He explained what he was going to do and then completed the task in short period of time. The company and the technician were like a breath of fresh air in a world filled with shysters and cheats.

They are very responsive. I contacted them yesterday night, and they scheduled an appointment this morning. The technician fixed my water leak in less than 20min. Will definitely use them again.

I was very happy with Akian. Starting with the owner Steve, Barry the technician, Chris the electrician and the installers, Andy and Justin. They were all very courteous, respectful and answered any questions I had. I had mini splits installed. I would definitely hire them again. I give a big 10.
