We recently needed emergency work to replace a toilet, and Beacon dispatched someone (Preston Graham) in just over an hour, and he was able to complete everything in short order, and he moved us forward on some larger work we wanted done. Overall pleasant experience.

The pressure regulating device on our house wore out. We didn't really notice until suddenly water damage in the kitchen that leaked into our basement and made a whole mess and required quite a bit of repair just for 2 days of dripping before we noticed it.The pressure regulating device also resulted in our tankless water heater rupturing the same week.Both times I had people in the same day to assess the damage and get started. The water heater was Next Day quick, along with replacing the faulty piece that was causing all the problems in the first place. Like, the turn around was incredible.The kitchen/basement was trickier because they had to spend over a week getting it properly dry/sealed off with plastic. They were super quick to prioritize us and finished the job the moment we were able to get a contractor in to rebuild the part of the kitchen that had to be torn out so they could do the final work with a new faucet, garbage disposal, and dishwasher getting hooked up properly (which, apparently it hadn't been for years?)Thank you Bryan, Sam, and Matt for your insanely quick and professional work that wasn't rushed but was timely and allowed me to get back to living.

Armin arrived today right on time to locate and repair a leak from our upstairs bathroom. He quickly found the problem and then efficiently and professionally repaired it, keeping us informed along the way. He was courteous and the price was fair. We will call Armin again.

Local company who's been around the Puget Sound for a long time. Saw their trucks all over the city and when I had a problem decided to call. Found out I had a busted sewer line and was given a fair and reasonable estimate. After a couple of more estimates I decided to give Bob Oates a try and boy am I glad that I did. Not only was it a better value than the other companies but excellent service. Great Job!

I was looking for a “handyman” to remove/replace several broken AC units that were jammed into small window openings in an old workspace. Now I first contacted the highest rated handyman services on Google and they all declined the job. That’s when I came across Fixer.com.

The web site steers you into making an appointment right there, which frightened me a little because I didn’t want to make any commitments without knowing if they could actually do the work. After some research, I went ahead and booked an appointment. The process was easy – more like ordering food delivery than what I was used to with other companies. There were many options for setting up a day and time (although no weekends yet). After making the appointment, I received a confirmation email and then an hour later, I got an email with a time estimate range for the job. Since Fixer gives you a rate depending on your zip code, I guess you can estimate the cost of the project.

Fast forward to appointment day - Sherrie and Jacob arrived on time; they were very friendly. They looked at the project/space, gave me an updated time estimate and then went to work. When they were done, they left. They didn’t even ask for payment. I got a text and email later with the invoice. I did notice that the actual time taken was over two hours greater than the estimate. But I’m actually ok with that. It was an unusual job so it would be very difficult to calculate how long it would take to complete.

I went to Fixer.com to pay, easy enough. However, there was an option to leave a tip for the “fixers,” with different suggested amounts. That was unexpected. It’s a different model than I’m used to. But I’m totally ok with anything that encourages better service or rewards good service. I’ll just have to account for that in the budgeting stage moving forward. Sherrie and Jacob were very pleasant and I’m extremely pleased with my experience with Fixer.com. I highly recommend them.

Our hot water heater started going out over the last several weeks. Given that our house is heated by radiators and we have a new baby, this was a serious problem. Because of the rarity of our unit, other plumbers flat out refused to even try to help us out. Not only did PlumbWorks take our calls at all hours of the night, but Nick actually spent the time required by the manufacturer to become a certified technician, just so that he could order a part for us, he didn't charge us a cent for that time. Nick and Marcus know their craft, and they are two of the nicest people you could meet. I highly recommend using PlumbWorks when you need to fix your water heaters; they do good work and they they charge a reasonable fee.

I had Ryan plumb for a new tub, shower, and bathroom sink. He also installed a new toilet. Ryan always showed up when he said he would, was very good at communicating, very respectful of my home, and is HONEST. His installation was professionally done, and he cleaned up after each visit.
Ryan also installed a recirculation pump which produces instant hot water to the bathrooms that are located on the opposite side of the house where the hot water tank sits. This now saves us several gallons of water each time we turn on a faucet instead of waiting for the hot water to arrive.
I higher recommend Ryan for any of your plumbing needs.
