Best Drain Problems in Portland OR

Let me start off by saying we have used Roto-Rooter in the past on several occasions. So when we had a shower that wasn’t draining it was a no brainer to have them help us out again. The technician showed up for our scheduled appointment and in less than 30 minutes had the drain working as it should. The bad, they charged us a flat rate of 469.00 (more than double the cost of the previous repair for the same issue) no change in rate for the easy fix. I called in and was told a Manager would call me, which he did. He stated that was the correct flat rate charge and no room for flexibility.I work in the home service industry, we also have a flat rate service fee (substantially less than 469.00). We frequently reduce the base rate depending on the amount of time it dtake in relation to our base service call time.It is extremely unfortunate when corporate greed overrides the value of services preformed! We will never use Roto-Rooter again and I will make sure my friends and family do not use them either. I feel it is my duty to inform as many people as possible of how this company is charging their customers. Shame on you Roto-Rooter!

Alan is a Portland treasure. Twice he’s come out on short notice when no one else could. Such a humble, unassuming person who knows his craft and takes pride in the work. Reasonable and fair pricing. Forget about all the big fancy plumbing companies with hundreds of reviews. You’ll be calling Alan to fix their mistakes.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with AAA drain cleaning. Steve & Austin were extremely professional, honest and such a pleasure to deal with. They came out same day after telling me their cost up front. Worked fast, clean and took extra time to fix my problem (which was a little more in depth than just a simple clog). Found out I likely have a grey line that needs addressing. They got my drain working & gave me recommendations for fixing my pipes. Price was exactly what he quoted and he wrote a detailed receipt documenting everything we spoke about. I'm hopeful I won't need their services anytime soon but if I do they're the only ones I would call! Very pleased!

We had a clog down our drain pipe for our washer and Jeff got it sorted out in a few minutes. We tried getting it unclogged with a rented equipment from Home Depot ourselves but with no success. You gotta let the professional, Jeff in this case, do what he do best.

Same-day service from a friendly and competent professional who didn't talk down to me and was kind to my kid & dog. Saw me wearing a mask and immediately went to mask up too (thank you, I'm immunocompromised) -- and happily went to work. They didn't settle with just making the offending toilet flush again -- they told us what happened and why, and let us know what they noticed might be a sign of trouble down the road without trying to upsell. We will absolutely be calling again when we need a plumber.
ETA: they were right about future trouble, and came back to diagnose and give us some solid advice and recommendations to follow up. Same great experience as the first time. Not afraid to roll up their sleeves and they didn't charge for diagnostics.
It's very nice to have a professional explain what's going on without condescension or scare tactics or pressure to get more services. I appreciate all the help!

Toilet Tank Water Fill Valve was replaced after careful inspection and review. I really appreciate not having to hear the clicking sound in my tank any more. Better to take care of it now--than later.

We had a plumbing pipe break on the 2nd floor. Unfortunately, the water wrecked a ceiling on the 1st floor, which we had to do some sheetrock repairs too. We called Best Portland Plumbers and they came right out and fixed the plumbing issue. Their prices were fair, and the plumber got the work done very quickly. Hopefully I do not have to use them again, or it is under better circumstances. Broken pipes are no fun.

Cured my problem before they got here. Friendly guys with tips to prevent a next time.

I have an old house and have needed the services of a plumber several times throughout the 20 years I've owned this home. After a terrible experience with Mr. Rooter, someone gave me Paul's name. I have always had the best of service with reasonable prices and respectful staff. The best I can say about Paul's Plumbing is that I can always trust what they say. Never have felt cheated or that they performed a service I didn't need. Highly recommend them.

Mike was great, he showed up right when he said he would, which was within a few hours of calling him. He even adjusted his bid down when we realized that the existing plumbing inside my wall was not going to work with the original repair plan we had intended. His truck is stocked to work with everything from high end professional plumbing to rushed amateur outdated Home Depot supplies. I prefer to do things myself but it’s definitely worth it to call Mike for the amount of time and effort I saved.

Call the company for the first time a man answer the phone did not tell me the company name just said hello super standoffish I asked if he can come out to check out my home he said no he can’t I asked him if he can refer to anybody he said no and hung up on me super weird I would not recommend them
