I initially worked with Rick to get a bid for our main line water leak. He was on time and fully explained our plumbing issue and how to repair it. I've used Crown Plumbing for perhaps 20 years now. I've always had top-notch professional service, provided by Plumber Keith. He replaced a commode, fixed pipes and such over the years.

When I had a small pipe leak last week, I called Crown again. I was troubled to learn that Keith had retired.

Travis the Crown Plumber came on the call. He was prompt, professional and courteous. Instead of up-selling or max-selling an expensive job, Travis gave me options. As an old person, with a fixed income, this is vitally important to me.

We had blocked drains from our kitchen sink and washing machine. We called Crown Plumbing and Dwayne came out the next day. He was very polite and professional and cleared both drains. A good value for the money.

I used Crown plumbing a couple years ago for a leak in my ceiling. Zach worked on the shower upstairs and the leak was fixed at that time. However, it started leaking again. I called Crown plumbing and left a message 3 weeks ago to see if someone can fix it and no one returned my call. Very unprofessional and poor quality service was provided.

I called at 9:30 this morning (Friday) to schedule an appointment. Michelle called back within 30 min to schedule an appointment for Monday. So far so good!

Crown fixed a leak from the 2nd floor bath toilet drain to the 1st floor. The crew was precise and efficient and extremely helpful. If I have more plumbing needs I will certainly call them first.

I called Crown a couple days ago to have a couple new faucets installed. They were able to schedule someone to do the installation this morning.

Their plumber, Keith, showed up on time, and completed the work efficiently. And the price was quite fair. I was pleased with all aspects from start to finish, including communication/scheduling, quality of work, and pricing. I would recommend Crown Plumbing and definitely would use again.

I have previously used Crown Plumbing when I needed a plumber. But this time they wouldn't even respond...their next available appointment was almost a WEEK away. I called Mr Rooter and thanks to their great customer care, my sink is now working.

Dwayne was on time, very friendly and professional. He installed 3 toilets for me in one afternoon and tightened my sink. And the staff are very nice and friendly. Rates seem to be in-line and less than competition. I’m so excited I’ve found a plumber for future needs! I’m a homeowner of a house built in 2015.

My kitchen sink was backed up and they came promptly and fixed the problem They double checked that the dishwasher would drain and that there was no leaking under the sink. In addition, they diagnosed the problem another plumber had left me with and fixed it quickly. I am very grateful.

Brant and Jet came out to do the rough-in phase of a simple bathroom we are having completed in our basement. They were courteous, professional, and worked efficiently. Crown Plumbing will be my first call when I need plumbing services in the future and I will ask for Brent and Jet by name.

Update: December 2017 and Crown Plumbing is still awesome. Zach worked on the bathroom and kitchen sinks today and was efficient, thorough, and communicative. He made sure we were happy with the job and was great at dealing with our weird old house. Highly recommend!

From 3 years ago: We got a next-day appointment with Keith, thanks to a cancellation, and he was great! Our house was built in 1908 and he was familiar with the quirks of an old house and didn't try to upsell or replace too much. He gave tips for some DIY work, complete with part numbers for a trip to the plumbing supply place. Very reasonable rates-- $35 base for a visit, plus hourly. Will totally call him again!

Nolan was awesome!!! Very acommodadating and thought outside the box on issues. Highly recommend.

Each person we spoke to was very friendly and professional. Damon came out first to give us an assessment and quotes for a couple of options. We decided to go with a more affordable option first and called to schedule. Tim came out and tried 1 other thing before we needed to tear in to our wall for a shower repiping, and what he did worked! We had been without proper water pressure for a month and we were so relieved and saved a good deal of money. Thank you, Tim for trying out another option first! We're definitely using Crown Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.

These guys were supposed to come out for a window between 12 and 2 - after the first call to find out what time they would be there was told they'd be there at 2 or if not that they'd call to give me an ETA. No answer by 2:30, finally did get someone to call me back and got an ETA of 3:30 because they had skipped me and went on to the next person on the list - tough to get ahold of these guys and not reliable. I can't sit around at a house I don't live at (empty rental property) all day and wait!

We have used Crown Plumbing since at least 2014, maybe longer. This last time it was to repair our the sewage pump system that is in our basement apartment. That apartment depends on a pump up system to take ALL its waste water to the sewer line. (sinks, shower, toilets, dishwasher, and laundry)

Crown sent Keith to repair it in 2014 (4 years after it was installed by someone else) and it has worked perfectly for 7 years.

The thing I especially like about Crown Plumbing is their timely response. Although they don't provide emergency services (no plumbing company in Portland seems to regardless of their website claims), but Crown has always responded to our needs within 48 hours and often even sooner. They don't have extra fees, memberships, or charges to get this timely service, they just do it as a business practice.

I would give this company 10 stars if I could. Where do I start?! A live person answers the phone! Frequently service is offered next day or within the week. From the beginning the customer‘s needs are placed first. We have had Crown help us with several projects and I will never call anyone else. Skylar replaced our kitchen faucet. I called over half a dozen plumbers when my pipes froze and burst on Christmas Day. Crown Plumbing was only one of 2 to return my call. The other company said they couldn't do any work until the end of January!

Crown Plumbing managed to schedule me in as soon as possible. When Skylar came out to estimate the damage, he was excellent to deal with. His communication was fantastic explaining what needed done and when he could do it. He worked long hours down in my cold and wet crawlspace fixing the issue with a very positive attitude. The initial fix didn't completely solve the issue so he came back the following evening on his way home to correct the final piece. I can't say enough about how fantastic Skylar was to work with. I'd gladly work with both Skylar and Crown Plumbing again

First Review: One of your trucks just left cardboard boxes in my yard. I didn't and won't hire you to do work if your employees think it's ok to just leave your trash/recycling for neighbors to deal with.

As a general contractor we have always relied on Crown Plumbing for ourselves and our customers. Keith at Crown is a real expert in his field and we appreciate having him on our jobs, whether its a simple toilet reset, new sink or tub/shower install.

I felt very good about my second experience with Crown Plumbing. This time they sent out Rob to my Maywood Park home. I had a pipe that was leaking due to an improperly installed pipe for my washing machine. It had been leaking water into the crawl space under the kitchen. Rob carefully diagnosed the problem and then estimated the cost based on the specific repair not the time spent on the project. For about an hour long project the expense came to around $450. The first time they sent out Skylar for a bit more complicated repair to a frozen outdoor water pipe. It was about a two hour repair for around $450. Skylar worked with me on the price of the materials used to keep the cost what I considered to be reasonable. Thanks you two!!!

Called Crown plumbing to replace some angle stops in my home. They were able to get out to us the very next day and the plumber was courteous, professional and did outstanding work. I highly recommend Crown Plumbing and would not use anyone else!

I had Crown out to put in a new toilet and they were prompt, professional and talked me through the process. Cleaned up behind themselves and I have a fancy toilet. Thank you Crown!

Really 4.5 out of 5 stars. Our house in the SW hills developed a bad water leak between the meter and the house. Replacing the line was no small feat because of the elevation change and the different impediments to be found between the meter and the house. Crown Plumbing stuck to their original bid even though they had to revise their plan several times and devote many more labor hours to the project than they had originally planned. Through it all, the workers were very professional and responsive. The only reason to knock off any stars at all is it did take them several weeks between when they started the work and completed it but they set up a temporary water line free of charge to make sure we weren't too inconvenienced while they devised ever more elaborate, but necessary, plans for reconnecting our house to the water main.

Scheduling was easy and quick and plumber called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way and was very nice to talk to.

However, he quoted me for and did work that was unnecessary in addition to the work required. I had called about a leaking shower and needed the cartridge replaced. He told me the downspout also needed to be rebuilt because the copper pipe had been damaged from the set screw holding the downspout in place and would cause a leak. The pipe was not damaged and there was no leak there but he insisted. When I pressed him on it he even said if I tried to pull it off while we were talking about it, it it would make it worse.

After getting the pictures of the repairs and getting a second opinion I was told the additional work was completely unnecessary and I was charged for nothing.

He did a good job fixing the thing I called them out for and if he hadn’t tried to get more money out of me I’d give them 5 stars. I won’t be using this company again and I warn anyone else to get a second opinion.

Another Emergency plumbing service took our names down, promised someone would come out, and then canceled at the appointed time. Then I called Crown plumbing. They set clear expectations about when they would be here and even slotted me in early because of my active leak.

Our plumber Brian came out here and was very professional and helpful. He diagnosed what was wrong and got it fixed in a matter of an hour and a half. He also took time to teach me about some of the things that I could do to keep my drains clear and how to test for leaks in the future.

While I did not enjoy having an internal leak in my house, Brian made it straightforward and as painless as possible. I will call them again If I need some plumbing done.

I left a message in the evening, Crown called back promptly the next morning and had a plumber, Travis at my place by the afternoon. Very nice, explained what the issue was and promptly fixed it. Reasonable rate. I highly recommend Crown Plumbing, and Travis in particular.

Wow, what excellent service. We called crown plumbing to fix a toilet that was leaking at the base. When Travis came to our home the first time, he made a quick assessment of the situation. He explained that he wouldn't be able to fix the problem that day because the previous homeowner had done a DIY fix incorrectly and compromised the original lead pipe coming down from the toilet. He showed me the pipes and explained all the steps needed to fix it. While he was there he looked at all of the plumbing and answered all of my plumbing questions - I was so impressed with his thorough knowledge, his warmth, and his excellent advice. I actually really enjoyed learning more about our plumbing and the history of the house. I learned that our plumbing is all original and will eventually need to be replaced, but we have time to budget for it and plan it. He described the different phases of the replacement process, which made a really big job sound manageable. He also recommended AGAINST some short term work, because given that long term plan, it would only add cost, not benefit. At the end of the inspection I had an estimate for the toilet repair, much more knowledge about my home, and the start of a plan to improve it.

When Travis returned to do the work on the toilet, he was friendly, professional, and very quick. We were only without water for about an hour and had a working toilet again within three hours. And the cost was exactly the same as on the estimate. I am very impressed with Crown Plumbing and I'm so glad that I've found an excellent company to work with for future plumbing repairs and projects.

Travis answered my every question honestly, explained thoroughly, was not at all pushy about my choice, arrived early, worked quickly. I would call him, again!

I can't recommend Crown Plumbing enough after using their services twice now. Even though none of my toilet-related issues were immediate, their prompt availability was appreciated. Brian handled both jobs and his attention to detail and level of customer service was superb. He did a thorough job troubleshooting the issues and provided me with a number of solutions that he clearly laid out. All issues were resolved in no time and at reasonable pricing.

Not that I ever really want to need a plumber, but if and when I do I'm glad to know that Crown Plumbing is available to do a fantastic job!

Had a CPVC cold water supply line break behind my bathroom wall and, while I know it is an exception not a rule, Crown Plumbing was able to get someone out the same day so water service could be restored to my home.

Brian was professional and helpful in answering some of my other plumbing related questions while he was here. He also gave info on how to work with the other CVPC lines/fixtures in the house to (hopefully) prevent a future break.

If we ever need plumbing service again, we will definitely be calling Crown.

Last night I ran my dishwasher and it started leaking through the ceiling of my basement! I left a message for Crown Plumbing and they called me back early this morning and had someone at my place around 8am. Randy figured out the problem (a broken drain hose), got the necessary parts (including a longer water supply line so I'd have better access), and was done in no time. Everyone was prompt, polite, and professional - very happy with my service.

Most professional plumbing company I've ever worked with. They have great customer service and very quick to come out every time you call them. Experience, hard work, diligence, trusting, and flexibility would be some words to describe this company. I would recommend this company to anyone I know.

So, contacted them about a tenant needing a faucet looked at. They took my info, tenants info, address and a bit more contact information. They said they would contact my tenant to arrange a time. So 24 hrs passes. Then 48 with nothing. They didn't try contacting my tenant to schedule a time or even me about delays, etc. Guess they make so much money they don't need any more. So, instead I contacted Puddletown Plumbing. They reached out to my tenant in 30 minutes, scheduled a time and all is going smoothly. For Crown Plumbing, don't waste your time. Contact a plumbing company interested in customer service.

Brant, Randy and Nick had great customer service and where very professional with a sense of humor. They did an excellent job re-piping a duplex. They were great at communication with tenants on when and where they would have water each day. They took the time to plan out and discuss options to minimize the number of walls to be opened. Appreciate all the good work.

I've been using Crown Plumbing for a number of years, and have never been disappointed. Today, I was able to get Same Day Service for a clogged drain during the busy Holiday Season.

Crown Plumping did a complete re-piping of our house. The project was difficult as the house is a log cabin. Rick and Nolan and associates did a fantastic job. They were on time and professional . The front office is great.
Repiping here required repairs to the ceilings sheet rock and walls and some tile work. They also know general contractors that they can refer you to. The contractor Jim Flynn was a life saver. After the repiping was done he provided sub contractors to put the house back together. We needed carpenters, drywall and plasterers , painters, tile work and electricians to complete the job.

Super kind and honest about the problem and solutions. Hard working and efficient. Travis was awesome and my dogs loved him.

My main water line blew. Crown plumbing was the most reasonable bid I got. I was out of water for 14 days since they were fully booked. The day of my appointment they arrived and advised me it was going to be $1000 more. I was furious as any reasonable person would be. They ended up sticking with the original bid. I've used Crown plumbing for a major bathroom addition, and now to replace a hot water heater. They've been nothing but helpful, punctual, and friendly, with great communication. The plumber who replaced my hot water heater, Randy, was nice enough to even replace the laundry room door that I removed for the install without us asking him to do so. As a woman dealing with a contractor in my home, I have also never felt talked down to or uncomfortable with any of their plumbers. All of their staff have been completely professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Crown and their crew.

Crown Plumbing saved the day! My toddler flushed a toy down the only toilet in the house. I called every plumber in the area that I could, but was given a 1-2 day time estimate. Crown Plumbing went out of their way to get to my house in TWO HOURS! Tim showed up, and explained in detail what the options are, and then within 10 minutes the toy was out!! Crown Plumbing was recommended to us by George Morlan Plumbing Supply. I am so happy they did. Zak was the plumber that was sent to us. He called to let me know he could come early. Zak was extremely friendly and polite. He explained to me what the problem was and fixed it immediately. Since you pay by the half hour, he had extra time and asked if there was anything else I would like him to look out. We had an issue with one of the toilets. Zak knew exactly what to do and fixed it immediately. He is the kind of young man I would feel completely comfortable leaving a hidden key so he could come in and do work without me being present. I had fabulous service from the time I called Crown Plumbing for help.

Scott from the Brookings office was dispatched to fix a clogged sink. I tried everything to fix the problem. Scott came in and within minutes, cleared the drain. He is a very nice individual, professional and even cleaned up after he was finished.

Crown plumbing repiped our 60 year old house and put new drain pipes in our kitchen and bathroom. Their plumbers were very professional and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend them.

Our water supply piping and shut off valve to our refrigerator needed replacement and re-routing. The folks at Crown were very responsive. Our call was answered promptly, service scheduled in a timely manner and the work performed as scheduled. The plumber was professional and courteous. He answered all my questions. It was a pleasant experience.

Hired them to fix a water leak underneath the house( crawl space) charged me $140 dollars for the visit, he said the toilet was leaking ,even though we never saw water in the bathroom floor. He fixed, we paid 400 and he said no leaks under the house. Next day my husband goes check, leak still there, call them back and another 140. He changed the bath spout, another 400 and again say's leak is gone. two days later we go there and sure enough water is coming down still.Called again, the lady on the phone(Tiara) wants to charge me another 140, when I said they need to wave that fee, since they never fixed the problem , she say's she will call me back. Once she did, she informed me that they would not wave that fee. Bottom line, had my general contractor look at, he found the leak that was a pipe on the wall in our master bath, cutting through wall,replacing pipe, fixing dry wall, 150 dollars and took him an hour. Hope this review will help people to make a wise decision.

They said they would be there by 1 pm, no call.no show until the next morning. Sad to say it I have come to find several plumbing contract with this same issue. I have been a contractor in oregon for 22 years if I treated my costumers like t hi is I would be out of business.....

Rude customer service. Will never comeback to them.

Crown is a trustworthy plumbing company. When we called them, we were in a jam with some permitting issues and they helped us work with the city to solve the issue. What was best though, was that Zak, our plumber, went out of his way to communicate with the city on our behalf and pressed them to accept a solution that was less expensive for us. That is the work of a true professional and an honest company. I will not use another company from now on - I'm calling them because I trust their integrity and the quality of the work! Also, Zak was really great with our dogs which can be a lot to handle sometimes. Thanks Crown Plumbing and thank you Zak!

Brian is a knowable efficient expert in his field. I trust him and know i can listen to and accept his advise. his is there for the good of the customer.

What an amazing company to do business with. We hired them to repipe an older Portland house with attached apartment. From the estimate through the completion of the project we were impressed with everyone that works for Crown Plumbing. Rick came out to give an estimate, he was punctual, friendly, offered alot of great suggestions, and helped walk us through every aspect of the job. Their employees were great as well, always showed up on time, maintained a clean and professional work environment, and really went above and beyond to provide an amazing hassle free experience. I've dealt with quite a few plumbing companies and they're by far the best. Honestly cant recommend them enough!

Toilet Tank Water Fill Valve was replaced after careful inspection and review. I really appreciate not having to hear the clicking sound in my tank any more. Better to take care of it now--than later.

We had a problem with a leaking toilet which other plumbers couldn't solve. Zach, from Crown Plumbing, was able to the fix the leak by using a creative approach. He is competent, professional, efficient, and a pleasure to deal with. Furthermore, the charges were reasonable. Also, Johnnie, the receptionist at Crown was also very helpful in getting the appointments scheduled promptly. I would definitely use Crown (especially, Zach) again.

Wonderful!! We had a major drain blockage and called Crown Plumbing the next morning , their employee was here even a little earlier than anticipated.

Crown was awesome to work with! In the end, we couldn’t fully replace some things and he charged me for the hourly, despite working to install and running to get a part. I connected with them through Yelp about a month ago and got an appointment about a week out. I was hoping to swap hardware in my basement shower stall (as I thought it was broken) and they were very thorough on pricing, details, time frame and the plumber was so easy to communicate with. He took a look at a dripping faucet, a bathtub and gave great feedback for my issues (which were much more complicated than I would have ever known). Absolutely recommend. Very ethical and professional. The time I worked with him I learned all about the issues in my home and how to deal with it all. Overall, young adults can’t function a shower knob and temperature lever - and the plumber assured me my stuff was in good working order even after attempting to swap out delta shower hardware. Will use again as needed!!! 🙌

This is an updated review.Joni from Crown reached out to me after I left a one star review. I had been given what to me was a very high estimate for what was a simple repair.It was so high that I elected to just pay the $145 for the estimate and hold out for my regular licensed plumber, who was able to do the job for about a third of the price. She understood my unhappiness, said they always intend to have a competitive bid and though she couldn't explain why there was such a discrepancy, what could they do for me? I suggested they refund the $145 which she immediately agreed to. I was very impressed with her reaching out and resolving it this way, this response was certainly excellent customer service.

Very good service whenever I have called this company for plumbing needs of any kind and excellent work that lasts, personable and friendly service from the receptionists to the actual onsite plumbers very able to work with insurance companies if that is needed for any repairs too, as well as extensive knowledge and experience that can assess the pluming needs very quickly and all affordable too, a great asset for the community and will look forward to calling them for any future water/plumbing needs, can't say enough positive about my experiences with this company and the quality of their work.

I can't offer up enough praise for the outstanding work Crown just did in helping us move forward with rough in plumbing on our basement ADU project. Their lead plumber, Nolan, provided us with some of the best customer service that we've had with the trades in quite some time. He was super communicative, verified his plans before doing them, and basically kept us in the loop every step of the way.

I was working down in the area too for several days, and as a teacher myself, the thing I most appreciated was the way he worked with his apprentices and helpers. He was kind, supportive, and very positive in helping them learn the ways of his trade. If you get Nolan on your job, I think you're going to be pleased.

Great job. Came early. Kept working through on some difficult parts of very old system in a tight space.

Guy came out did not do anything because he does not have the proper equipment and recommended me to another company and tried to charge me 140 for the service call this place is a joke

“They are the best”.They used a plumber by the name of Scottie. He was so GOOD. This was their Brookings location. We do not have a lot of plumbers available here and he was a life saver. We had ‘water hammer’ in our pipes and it was due to a faulty Pressure Regulator going to our house and he not only found one he installed it in the same day. He made arraignments to fit us in due to being a emergency. The staff were more than friendly. I cannot say enough about them except to say, “use them they are great”.

If you want honest, dependable plumbers, call Crown Plumbing in Portland. I've used them (formerly Watson's) for years. They won't tell you something needs to be done when it doesn't need to be done. Travis was here today and not only was he fast and efficient and charged a reasonable price, he was delightful to talk to.

I've used Crown for several big upgrades and they've been fantastic to work with.

We were dealing with an emergency because the kitchen sink would not drain. The clog was challenging because of old pipes and lots of small diameter tight turns, and the distance to the clog was almost 30 feet down the pipes. I was relieved when Dwayne from Crown Plumbing managed to get things flowing.
Since the plumber was here, we got him to install a new disposal and a modern kitchen faucet with sprayer. I was glad to pay for the work because working on our 70 year old antique sink is no picnic. We are very pleased.

Rob was great. We have used Crown for a number of years and have always appreciated the politeness of their workers and the quality of the job.

This firm was responsive. They did repair a leaking supply-line. Customer MUST ensure they closely review all of this company's required service fees and associated cost for each fee! Examples include their $140 drive-time fee and almost $150/hour for on-site service! That said? ... their total charge for all fees to replace a fitting and alleviate the leak was $892.13 !! Very poor value for a repair that was NOT an emergency requirement! I will definately shop next time!

200 dollars for half an hour of consultation service, followed by 90 dollars per half hour....and the delta monitor installed in my bathtub is installed unevenly into the tile.....hmm.

He fixed two water shut offs for me and did a great job.

We had a water leak last night that caused a bubble in the ceiling of our first floor. We called about a dozen places and couldn’t get someone out within the week. Then we called Crown Plumbing; they had someone at our house this morning. Nolan was friendly, professional, and fixed the issue quickly and affordably. We were very impressed and will definitely be calling them next time we need a plumber!

I had a storm drain issue, where raw sewage was filling my storm drain box. I spoke with Chris and he had me send pictures of the problem and after looking over everything and speaking with me several times on the phone he referred me to a company that specializes in this sort of issue. Chris went above and beyond anything I expected, knowing he was not going to get this job. Thanks again Chris
