I put in a request in the morning and they were able to come in the same day. The person who came (Dan) was warm, kind, and explained everything to me at length. He even played with my little dog while he was waiting for the water to run. The only thing I found surprising was the pricing. I found it to be expensive.

Floor drain in mud room was blacking up to the point I couldn’t take it anymore. Called in the morning and had a tech out in the early afternoon. Don’t be shocked by the initial price. They have everything they need to take care of the problem. It’s money we’ll spent and there’s a 6 mos warranty on work. Yes it’s tough to bite the bullet but the result is well worth it.

Jack showed up at 5:00pm on a Saturday. He was able to unclog the drain from our basement shower in about 30 minutes. $469 seems like a lot of money, but I couldn't have done it without him.

The service was on the expensive side, and there was some confusion and delay in service that shouldn't have happened, but the plumber was very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable.

Our technician, Alex, was great! He was COVID-careful, respectful, and efficient. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is because I think the service call-out rate of $476 is unnessarily high. I understand that it took a skilled technician to drive our to our rural home to unclog a drain but this honestly took less than an hour to remedy and I think the price was too high. Not Alex's fault though. He was very professional and deserves applause.

Everything was good until I went to check underneath the sink and it smelled of sewage. I was charged $394.00 with a food drive participation of $75.00 dollars off (really awesome), but I had already cleaned the pea trap and piping underneath the sink and ran a snake 15ft, and he found the clogging at about 25ft so, all he had to do was run the snake and clean up any gunk that spilled underneath the sink, which he didn't do a good job with clean-up, so I feel the price for just snaking and clearing the drain was too expensive. I had to take all the wood out and scrub, dry, and treat with borax to get the sewage spill and smell out of the wood flooring underneath the sink.

The initial visit to unclog the toilet was positive. They diagnosed the issue and got things going. They then told us we needed a new septic tank. This part of the service went fairly well. Then it was determined we needed a new drain field. This took over three months to complete. This was complicated by poor communication/coordination with the county to acquire the permits. Inaccurate plans (measurements) were submitted, resulting in delays. Some employees seemed less competent than others and were left to problem solve situations they had no knowledge or experience with, resulting in us having to go without water and toilets for almost 4 days without notice or providing even a porta potty. At times they didn't have all the necessary tools and had to borrow ours. They left the work site messy. Buried plastic in the potholes, open glue containers and broken shovels were left. We often didn't know if or when they were coming. Communication with the project manager was inconsistent. I would recommend Roto- rooter for unclogging drains, but not installing septic or drain fields.

We had a blockage in our drain line that was causing the kitchen sink to back up. Roto-Rooter came out very quickly and was able to locate and remove the blockage that was 25ft+ down the drain.

Roto rooter was quick to send someone out, and Abe was really wonderful to work with! Very personable, friendly, and got our sink fixed quickly on Valentine’s night. Will absolutely use this service again if needed in the future

Labor Day weekend, out of town friends staying in our basement. Plans for the day include breweries and wine tasting but your guests shower stops draining and begins to leak onto the floor. Call our regular plumbing company and no emergency services available, called roto and they were out in 2 hours. Crisis averted. Might have paid a little more but got the job done quickly. Jeff Orick (4365) and his crew did an outstanding job replacing the underslab main in my rental house. Took the time to make sure that the work area was contained and did a great job cleaning up after the work was complete.

Service person asked about the problem, and then solved it which was to clean drain. He worked in an organized fashion, very clean, and with a couple of attempts the drain was cleared of debris and sludge. He worked in a professional manner. I appreciated his work, a job well done!

They have a quick response time which is amazing but we have called them multiple times to fix the same problem & it doesn’t seem to come with any guaranteed service so we are paying each visit for a issue that, even recorded in their system, they isn’t being corrected; in addition to them not being able to communicate how to resolve the issue after each visit.

I called in the evening about a clogged toilet and had someone come between 8-10 AM the next day. I had some confusion between my landlord and the company so if you're a renter be sure to have Roto-Rooter contact YOU for the appointment time. Louis was my technician and he was professional, kind, and speedy with his work. I'd highly recommend him. I wish this service had been more affordable but I did get a next-day appointment and they have coupons on their website to lower the cost.

Roto-Rooter answered their phone promptly when I called for urgent service. The person on the phone was kind, patient and very helpful. She was able to get me some help on the SAME DAY! Austin and crew arrived on the same day as my request and worked until the job was completed. Austin called me back to report on the issues that were discovered and I was able to get a bid on further, major repairs that same evening. Austin also followed up with me the next day. I will call Roto-Rooter again whenever I need sewer or drain repair or service!

Jacob and Terry were awesome in clearing the huge clog in my bathtub drain. I had gone through a bottle of Drano and when the standing water was still there, I decided to call the professionals. While they were working on my tub, I asked them to take a look at my kitchen drain. Between hair in the tub (daughter was not using the hair catcher) and sludge in the kitchen drain (cleaning after grinding coffee and cleaning ice coffee maker) two less things I can worry about during the holidays!

They were very informed and professional and considerate. He was honest and direct made sure I understood all my options.

I had an incident where one side of my sink, where the garbage disposal is located, stopped draining all of a sudden. This occurred on a Sunday evening and I really didn't want to have to wait until Monday to get this fixed. I calle Roto Rooter due to their same price regardless if it's a Monday at 10am or a Sunday evening at 7pm. Jack arrived within 30 min, explained the problem & fixed it just as fast. We had an issue with our main sewer line getting clogged on a Sunday evening. Eric was dispatched to our house to solve the problem. He was on time, diligent about identifying the problem, and finding the least invasive repair. He quoted a price and stuck to it even though it was a tougher issue then expected. I felt the price was fair especially for an emergency call on a Sunday evening.

Was here earlier than I said. And that was great. Justine is a very nice person and he made me feel at ease.

Very satisfied. Technician Abe was courteous and professional, explained clearly what our options were and what he was going to do - and checked back to make sure I understood. He also did a fine clean up! I thought it was a little pricey, BUT there is no charge for the onsite visit or the problem evaluation, nor do they charge if they can't fix it - and they guarantee the fix for 6 months, so overall I'm satisfied.

Technician (Jared) was excellent, but seriously— $429 to unclog a kitchen sink???

We had a hand sink that would not drain properly. We spent over 100 dollars on drain maintenance products and clog removal products, even so far as buying a snake tool and trying to unclog it ourselves. Nothing worked. Called Roto Rooter to come take a look at it. They arrived on time with a very professional service representative who wasted no time identifying the problem and clearing the blockage. He was in and out in under 30 minutes and our sink is working like new again. 5 stars, and would definitely recommend again!

Tech who came to fix our bathroom sink drain was terrific; pleasant, efficiently got the drain cleared. The problem was the enormous, out of scale cost of the work: $469 before a senior discount of $100!! If I'd done some research, I would have found reputable local companies who do drain clearance for less than $100. I allowed myself to be victimized by the long-time ad campaign that Roto-Rooter has promoted in the media. Never again!

Meguel is amazing! He is our new hero! We don’t often think about plumbers until you need one, then you hope you find one who is professional, ethical and takes pride in doing a good job for their customers. That is Meguel. He did a difficult job by himself in very unpleasant conditions and was gracious about it. He did not try to up sell us. He did what needed to be done and stayed late to complete the job, returning the next day to make sure it was right. The first company we called told us we needed all new pipes under the house and the ones leading to the sewer, to the tune of $30,000 and left without addressing the immediate problem. We were stunned! We are so glad we called Roto-Rooter and got Meguel on the job. In the future if the need arises we will be calling Roto-Rooter. A big thank you to Meguel! We are very grateful.

Nick called after noticing our work order for a plumber mentioned a puddle of water that needed to be cleaned up. He offered to do an estimate for the clean up. Came out quickly and Explained everything he did he was so knowledgeable. I would 100% recommend him to everyone. We didn't end up using the plumber as they were booked out until midweek but the customer service to both set up and cancel the appointment were great.

Nice technician, but $394 for 15 minutes/10 feet of snaking is highway robbery. One of those situations where they didn't tell me the price until they got there and I just wanted it done (taking time off work is more costly for me). Plus Roto-Rooter was 1.5 hours late. This was not the technicians fault, they were just busy. My mistake thinking plumbers all generally charged the same amount, so I learned my lesson. My regular plumber charges $155 for the first hour and this was a scheduled appointment days in advance, not an emergency. Will be going back to my regular plumber (pro drain) for future issues.

Great friendly service, done quickly

I had rotorooter come out to look at a plumbing issue. The gentlemen who came over were very nice. They told me rotorooter was competitive in their pricing. They fully took advantage of the situation. They were here for barely over an hour. They left a mess, including their spare piping all over the garage. They didn't even have the courtesy to replace the insulation or even replace the duct tape to hold the insulation together which they cut through. I was told by a few other companies I was fully taken advantage of. I complained on the website and someone told me they would have the manager get in touch with me. He did, however he was rude and had no knowledge of the work that had been done. I gave him the invoice number and continuously told him what was done and exactly what had been written on my invoice. He kept saying they did work outside or to the garbage disposal and other things which had NEVER been done. I was charged $1140 to fix a hose bib and a toilet shut off valve. After speaking to the manager he told me they would credit me $75.00 and that was over a month ago... still no action has been taken on their part. He also didn't have much to say about the pricing that shouldn't have been charged for the extrememly minimal amount of work they did. I would advise anyone and everyone to STAY away from this company. They leave a mess, overcharge, and don't hold themselves accountable. Their also uncertain of their warranty, the manager told me two years however the employees and my paperwork state one year.

I couldn't say more good things about him and the service.

They will not give an estimate over the phone. They say The technician needs to see the problem. They know what the problem is from my call, the kitchen sink drain is plugged. He got here is a reasonable time and quoted 2 prices - $700 and $500, both ridiculously high. He knew we wanted it fixed that afternoon. The company I wanted to use could not come until the next day, they charge less than half the lowest price quoted by Roto-Rooter.

Abe is extremely Kind and knowledgeable. On time, in fact early. Great communication, let us know exactly what was happening and what needed to happen. He knew is craft, knew exactly how to help us and did just that. It was a little pricey, however that is to be expected of a service rendered in your home late at night on a holiday with no appointment. All in all, very satisfied. Job well done

Just came and helped us realize the easiest of problems on the drain.

We had an unfortunate occurrence of a hot water pipe breaking and leaking significant water into our crawl space. I called Roto-Rooter at 0645, someone answered right away and the technicians arrived by 0830. Ryan K and Jesse N were very prompt, professional, knowledgable, and honest with the situation we were in. They took care of the pipe repair within a couple of hours and contacted the Restoration team to come start the clean up process. Everett and Casey arrived shortly after and started assessing the damage and coming up with a plan to clean up and prevent further damage. Everett was very professional with how he presented the plan and service that needed to be done. I felt well informed and taken care of. I highly recommend this business and the people involved.

The RotoRooter team, particularly Paul Zobe, were incredible when tree roots broke the water pipe leading from the main line to our home. They spent hours excavating the roots, before and after we had the tree removed, to protect the pipe structure that was not damaged and then replaced the broken pipe with new pipe. This all happened the week before Christmas and so they worked late into the evening on two nights to ensure we had water as soon as possible. Great service, and while the cost was commensurate with the large volume of work required, the price felt fair.

The service tech did great and fixed my toilet issue. However I was charged over $550 for an hours work. That is a ridiculous amount of money for that service. Ill call someone else next time

Tried to unclog storm drain. I have a bigger problem than they could do. They worked at it. I was pleased with what they did.

Issue: Our sewer main was clogged, likely due to damage to the city's portion of the line, and this clog caused a secondary backup in the tub/laundry line.I had an excellent experience with the whole team!Dispatch was friendly and even humorous, tech was here within a couple of hours, right within the estimated window. The tech, Terry Jones, was friendly, knowledgable, efficient, and even helped me work out getting the job covered by my home warranty by speaking with the warranty company on the phone. When the camera tech, Jeff, arrived with the sewer scope both he and Terry let me watch along with them and explained what we were seeing on the monitor. They helped me get in touch with the City to work out jurisdiction details as well.What an excellent team and service! Thanks!

Set up an online appt for a drain cleaning and quote a new toilet install. Nowhere on the sign up page does it say there is a fee for them to come out.Josh came out - very nice. Listened to me explain the situation. Then said he would need to call out a drain cleaner tech and then come back and install - this plumber could not clean a drain line (you read that right). Then I learn the clean alone would be $400-$500. I said no thanks. Then he tells me it is $75 for the estimate to install the toilet. I was never informed there would be a fee to tell me that he is going to install a toilet, and why would I need someone to come out to tell me this? I wanted him to clean the line and maybe install the toilet at the same time if the price is right. He did not clean the line, and I was never told there would be a fee.Edit: Contacted the manager. The plumber was dishonest with the manager and said that he informed me at the beginning there would be charge for a quote. This is not true - I was not informed of a fee for a quote until he was about to leave. I asked specifically if they would take the fee out of the cost to unclog the toilet - he said no. The manager cares more about $75 than honest business.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Plumber was requested but I was sent someone who was only able to do drainage issues.Update: Changed rating to one star. Plumber came in today, said it was $375 to go look at piping in crawlspace for a quote. I declined. I was still charged $69 for a two minute visit(I'm not exaggerating the time) because he had to suit up. He wasn't wearing any bunny suit. He was wearing the same uniform the last technician was. At no point was I informed about the fees ahead of time. I am going to connect the BBB also regarding this matter.

Happy that I was able to get service within a few hours of calling. Abe was extremely professional and kind. He was able to unclog my toilet pretty quickly. That's my only beef is the value -- price is still a little daunting for the amount of (yes, friendly and prompt) work put in. But in a one-bathroom household, you gotta do what you gotta do. Please give this man a raise with the cost for service!

I made my appointment this morning and Abe showed up right on time a few hours later. Right out of the gate he was professional, friendly, courteous and did not pressure me on any sales. He got the job done and did it well. He educated me on how to take care of our pipes as well as helped me understand why we’ve had the issues in the past that we have had. All the while Jonathan was courteous and professional, and I would favorably recommend his services.

Mac arrived within the hour, was thorough, fixed the issue & left site fairly clean BUT be warned: their minimum price is $500!! Which I was NOT told when asking for ballpark figure. So drain cleaning that my plumber son said should be about $100 was 5 times the expected - guess that's what you get for rapid response...

Paid $589 to have my newly remodeled basement bathroom showered with 15 gallons of feces because their tech is absolutely incompetent. My wife and I had to spend 2+ hours cleaning and sanitizing new washer, dryer, vanity, tile floor etc. Regional manager doesn't seem to think any type of refund is warranted. Call somebody else

Our drain pipe clogged up and we couldn’t do any laundry or dishes. Roit rooter was able to schedule a plumber to come out within a reasonable time window that worked with our schedule, Andy hey diagnosed and fixed the problem within a matter of a couple hours. The work was done well, their people were very nice and helpful and explained their process well. I’d recommend them and use them in the future.

We were staying in a VRBO rental over Christmas and the toilet clogged. Our host was not much help, so I called Roto-Rooter late Christmas Eve and they were able to get someone out at noon on Christmas! They helped connect with the VRBO host so I didn't have to. Our technician was EXCELLENT! Please give that man a raise! It took him all of about two minutes to diagnose the issue and 10 minutes or less to get it handled. In a house with several folks that suffer from IBS, multiple working toilets is necessary, heh. He was also very kind and professional. A Christmas miracle!

I called 4 or 5 other local plumbers and the earliest date I could get was Monday morning and it was Friday. I had two clogged toilets. Even called companies that advertised same day service available but they were not available.I remember seeing a Roto-Rooter van driving around in the past and decided to give them a try. I was able to get a plumber here in less than an hour. Jack was the plumber dispatched to my home. He was extremely friendly and respectful. He put on booties to cover his shoes before he walked in. He got to work right away and was able to clear both toilets in less than 30 minutes.He was even nice enough and patient to answer my questions. All in all I have to say I had a wonderful experience with Roto-Rooter from the time the representative answered the phone and booked my appointment to when Jack the plumber left my home. I’m extremely satisfied and grateful Jack was able to come out and repair my toilets before the weekend.I would highly recommend their service as you can get same day service if you’re in a pinch. I have to say they may cost a little more than other plumbers but it was well worth it. In my book it was money well spent.Thank you Jack and the rest of the Roto-Rooter staff for helping me out in my time of need.

Our roof gutter drains were badly clogged with debris and roots. Justin went at it with his high pressure nozzle and cutter tool from multiple angles and was able to get water flowing again. On Christmas morning a toilet in a guest bathroom became clogged. I had out of town visitors arriving at noon who would be with us for 3 days.
Three hours after speaking to the dispatcher a plumber arrived. He was neat and informative. The toilet drain was cleared and he was off to his next customer.

Daniel was very personable, diagnosed my issue and gave me a couple of options in regards to pricing. The issue was fixed with 30 minutes. The process was quick and easy!

Christopher was professional and knew right from my description of the problem that the clog was in the common line outside leading to the septic tank. He set up and cleared the clog in less time than it took to set up. No question I'd call them again.

Xfinity came through our neighborhood to setup lines for new service in Woodburn Estates and Golf. While doing the underground line install theydrilled through the top of our sewer line. Roto-Rooter Plumbing from Wilsonville came out and cleared the line as best as possible then did a video of the sewer line which showed the damage done by Xfinity. I have to thank Roto Rooter and especially Nikolai Bobkov for helping to get the sewer repair completed with a team of very hard working repairmen. They worked to get this completed even till midnight to complete the job which took several days. Nikolai Bobkov showed the video to the sub-contractor that did the Xfinity line installation and damaged our sewer line and they agreed to take care of all charges. Thank goodness!!!I have to say Roto Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup went above and beyond to take care of this nightmare!!! Thank you so much for you professional help!!!!!

They charge $495 an hour and did not come with the proper equipment to do the job. They saw the water damage on the inside of the house and scoped only half of the drains. It was like pulling teeth for them to scope other drains to find the root of our problem. They spent 3 hours at our house to scope 3 drains. Called Prodrain. They charged us $265 and spent a little over an hour and scooped 7 drains and did a great job! This company is a scam!!!!

Didn't call during the range they started. They cancelled multiple times, stated they had to reschedule but couldn't say when, would need to check their calendars, then didn't call. Finally we could get them to lock in a time and again they didn't call during the time allotment, were late and then showed up without a phone call.

Our service guy was nice and great, so this review has nothing to do with him, but $429 for a 30 minute service is absolutely absurd. If we hadn’t been leaving for vacation the next day, I would have never done this. Also shady is when we called, the lady wouldn’t give us any pricing, not even a ball park of what to expect, but that they would only give it to us once they showed. So once they were there we were stuck with it, since we needed it done. Will never use again based on price alone.

We were quoted wrong at the beginning of the service. At the end of the service, the technician said she misspoke and it was twice as much as originally quoted. If given the proper amount at the beginning we would not have used their services. Our budget did not cover the higher price.

Rick was not understanding and the communication of the whole company is awful. Do not go with this company or you will be out your hard earned money and they could honestly care less.

I can’t provide a positive review due to the astronomical price (over $400) to clear a drain pipe. Unfortunately, I was in a situation where I needed to provide relief for a tenant. I will not be using their service again as my belief is they’re gouging customers. This wasn’t even a same day, emergency service. I waited almost two weeks from the time I scheduled the appointment to have the drain clog addressed.

I have a remodeling company and needed an urgent, last-minute plumber. After 15 or more phone calls trying to find a plumber (and being told it would be weeks before anyone could get out there), Roto-Rooter had someone at my client's home within two hours. The plumber they sent - Josh - was outstanding. He called me on arrival and clearly explained in detail what needed to be done. The client has an older faucet that parts are no longer available for (but she REALLY wanted to keep the faucet) so Josh took the initiative to go to the hardware store and buy materials to fashion the needed part. In my 20+ years in the remodeling industry I have never worked with a subcontractor who went above and beyond like that, and I was very impressed.

They did a good job...but, really...$425.00 for 20 minutes worth of work? And I got $75.00 off because of a online coupon. So, their normal cost is $500.00 for 20 minutes of work. That's $1500.00 an hour folks. Not a cheap date.

Very good service for unclogging a sink drain backup. The technician was very competent and professional. Seemed expensive for the service, which took about 30 min.

Wanted a kitchen clog cleared and ended up with a broken return pipe in my basement and a closet space worth of significant water damage. The cost per hour was close to 110$ - for 469$ total. No recourse for the damage done which makes me wonder what the point of being bonded/insured actually is. For all I know the clog wasn’t cleared and the change in flow was the result of the return pipe being broken. Technician was helpful and courteous but had no way to help me other than schedule me an emergency plumbing appointment that’s considerably more expensive than similar services in the area due to it’s expedited nature. Overall very bad experience.

If you have a plumbing emergency- DO NOT CALL. They DO NOT have same day appointments no matter what they might tell you when you call. I called at 8:30 am asking for same day service, was told to expect a call within the hour. 2 hours later...nothing. Called back - transfered 3x- dispatcher is busy, she'll call you back in a few minutes. Shocker - NO CALL. Called back at 5:30 pm - transferred 3x - we have an appointment available Saturday (It's Tuesday). Are you freaking kidding me?!

Very impressive! First time using Roto-Rooter services - 10AM called for clogged toilets in the Shop restroom - 11:45AM, techs just left and all is fixed and flowing again! All at very reasonable rate!

The first time I called Roto Rooter for a mystery water hammer issue in my shower, the plumber didn't know how to fix it, didn't do much except reattach a spout that had been dislodged with the water hammer, and said we would need to cut open the wall to diagnose the problem. I paid for the visit even though it was inconclusive. I called Roto Rooter again some time later and explained what had happened. In response, they had their most experienced plumber (Bobby) call back and discuss the issue on the phone. They sent Shawn, also an experienced plumber, and he did a wonderful job. He stayed for a very long time and replaced part after part until the issue was resolved. It took a few tries to figure out the problem, but he eventually landed on it and he refused to give up. There was no need to cut into the wall after all, which was a huge relief. Since the first plumber (I can't remember his name) had done an unsatisfactory job, Roto Rooter offered a discounted rate for the second visit, so that the total would not exceed what it would have cost with a single visit. This seems like a business run with integrity and I'd recommend them to others.

Abe was extremely professional in fixing our kitchen sink pipe from the 70's. Didn't push any promotions. And did everything he could to protect the floors and things around

The company set an appointment on the phone for 12:30 to 2:00 and would not give me an approximate price on the phone. They called back at 1:30 and said they were running 2 hours late. When the guy showed up he called me on phone and said the price would be $472. And that's just to unclog a main drain to the street 55' long. It was too late to call anyone else at that point and so I was stuck paying about 4 times what it should have been. It took him about 30 minutes to unclog the drain. He did run a scope down it and found some roots and a depression in the pipe. He said the company would be sending me a quote for repairs. I can hardly wait to see the price for that.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. They are AWFUL! One gentleman showed up FINALLY after being pushed back 2 days only to tell us he had to come back the next day with another guy because he couldn’t carry the equipment down stairs by himself. When they showed up the next day, ONE guy carried the equipment down the stairs. They ended up scoping the wrong drain. They did get the drain unclogged, much to their own surprise, but ended up breaking the back flow valve in the process. They also claimed to have taken video of said pipes. When they were done, the guy who stood around and did nothing told us that we basically needed to repipe our entire house because the pipes were caving in on themselves. He told us it would cost $10k and asked when we wanted to schedule that service. We declined because we weren’t able to just pull out $10k at that moment. I called a few times to try and get copy of the video they supposedly took but they were never able to produce the video nor did they ever bother to call me back. A few weeks later, the drain clogged again. This time we hired an actual plumbing company. He scoped the correct drain and told us whatever Roto Rooter had done had broken the back flow valve and we would have to drill into the floor to access the valve to replace it. Once we found out that Roto Rooter had broken the valve, I called to let them know what happened. I kept getting told I would get a call back from the manager but never did. It took about 3 phone calls and a nasty attitude for anyone to do anything about my complaint. They didn’t care about what they had done. They didn’t offer to cover the cost of getting what they broke fixed. They basically laughed at me when I told them it was their fault and should offer to help. They are scam artists and I will NEVER use them again. It ended up costing us $2000 to unclog a toilet. Ridiculous. Also, the pipes needing to be replaced; wrong. Good try though, Roto Rooter!

We had a complicated sewer pipe situation created by the original builders of the house in 1993 and Roto-Rooter helped us all the way through the process. One team figured out the original plumbers re-routed the main sewer line out of the house to avoid a rain drain, but ended up sloping the sewer line down toward the house! When the second team (Christian and Kyle Fitzgerald-Sansom) were excavating they discovered the plumbers also sloped the rain drain toward the house! Christian and Kyle did a terrific job fixing everything, re-filling the holes, and cleaning up the entire area. They also encouraged me to watch them scope the line all the way to the city sewer. I can't thank Christian, Kyle, Jeremy, and Megan enough for their professionalism, skill, and job very well done!

We had a downspout that had been clogged for a while. I had cleaned the gutters but that downspout still wasn’t draining. There is a blue spruce growing next to it so I assumed the roots were clogging the foundation drain and we would have to pay them to cut out those roots and repair the line. Eric came out, he was very personable, polite, knowledgeable and explained all of our options in detail. He checked the downspout and the entire drain system with me only to discover the downspout was clogged below where I could clean it. There was no charge for his time and effort. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had with getting an estimate from any of the services we’ve needed for our home. I will definitely call on him the next time I have a plumbing issue. I would have to say Roto Rooter is definitely one of the best!

Josh, installed a new toilet. We were expecting to have him recommend a toilet and we would order it and have him come back again for the install. He made the recommendation and said he could go pick it up and install it same day! There was an additional charge tacked on to the cost of the toilet, but it was worth it to have a working toilet same day. He also repaired two other toilets we were having problems with. Would not tell me costs when I called to set up appointment. Not even a range of possible costs. Once they arrived 2 hours late, they quoted price twice as expensive as other drain cleaning services. But I was between rock and hard place, so I went ahead. The techs were polite and did a good job. I am VERY IMPRESSED by the recent Roto-Rooter service. Jackson was methodical in figuring out what was going on with the downspouts. He kept me apprised of what was going on, updating me as things changed. He presented me with all the options, giving me the information I needed to make the best decision for the house. This was a much bigger job than he (or I) expected. I never got the impression he was eager to leave, or frustrated. He and the partner he had with him (who did introduce himself, but I'm bad with names) were true professionals!

Abe came out to what I had hoped was to unclog my kitchen drain. Unfortunately it was more involved than that, he found mud and crud in my drain pipe that should not be there indicating I have a bigger problem than just a clog. He was unable to fix it. He did not charge me anything for his time and trouble. Abe was very polite, he knew he was giving me bad news, but he went about it very professionally. If I ever do need help with a normal clog or repair, I will be asking for Abe. You should too, I highly recommend him, he was terrific!

Bad service and poor customer service skills!They gave me an appointment 1 week out to fix my sump pump and wouldn't drain the small amount of water in my crawl space. A technician showed up, gave me an estimate 1 week later but said they couldn’t fix it that same day, even though that’s what the appointment was made for. They scheduled me another 1 week out, all while the water kept filling up in my crawl space and causing damage. I took the day off of work for my appointment and was told someone will call and come between 12-4. No one called and no one came. I called them and they said they were running behind and they would be there soon, I asked when so I can plan my day and they said they didn’t know but before midnight. 😡 I waited until 8 pm and no one showed up. What a waste, I lost money taking a day off of work and these people no showed. And then the next day while I’m work, they call to tell me that a technician was on their way to fix my sump pump. I told them, sorry I’m at work and my appt was yesterday not today. I hired someone else don’t bother coming. Jerks. They made me wait 2 weeks with water flooding my crawl space due to the rain, and what a waste of water restoration and clean up because it just filled up with water again. I could have had it done by someone else instead of waiting.I will say though, their water restoration crew was amazing! I paid them separately to come and clean up the water and they were professional and efficient with excellent customer service! They did a wonderful job! An excellent crew that I would definitely use again!

I called to see how much it would cost to install a bathroom sink/faucet, and they said they couldn't tell me; had to pay a $75 fee for a human to come give a quote. Then the human came out and quoted me over $830 just to install a sink! The human read the price off a price sheet, that the person on the phone certainly could have said was an approximate cost. They got my 75 bucks, but never again!!!!

Jared was awesome! My elderly parents’ garbage disposal failed and flooded their basement with the most fowl, disgusting mix of water and food. He assessed our problem, used a Roto Rooter to ream out the pipe thoroughly, all with professionalism and efficiency. We can once again wash dishes in the kitchen sink, which is a Godsend! There is a slow leak still in the pipe under the sink, which we can control for mow with buckets placed under there. The several plumbers we called were booked out. Jared offered to arrange a plumber to be here Monday for us, which is so appreciated! We couldn’t be happier with his services and with the timeliness with which he was sent out!

I had a clean out that was overflowing during the hottest unbearable 110 degree heat. Brooks came out and worked hard to take care of me. He couldn’t fix it and called someone who was close by to bring the high pressure machine, no extra charge. They both tried again. They couldn’t fix it but it wasn’t their fault. They marked the spot where the cameras stopped. They were great and did all they could. Had it been fixable by them, there’s no doubt they would’ve done it. I would use them again and recommend them.

We were initially disappointed that our problem was not fixed on the first visit. Then Roto Rooter sent Abe. You could not ask for a nicer guy. Thankfully he is also a real pro and fixed the problem quickly. He also took the time to explain everything to us.

Really blessed to have Terry come out today to snake our mainline, was backed up all week, was worried that our mainline wouldn't be able to be cleared but he worked on it until the issue was resolved. Prices are absolutely nuts and they are taking advantage of people in tough situations. Not paying $429 for ~30 minutes of work ever again unless I’m hiring Elon Musk. Should have gotten the pricing over the phone, by the time I was aware they were already at my home plus I wanted to get the drain unclogged for my roommates so I felt the pressure, kicking myself for allowing them to take advantage of me like that. I will never ever use them again and if you are in need of services even desperately I’d try and find something in the universe of sanity.My technician, Chris, was nice and so far I have no complaints on the work (other than it being at least four times as expensive as it should be).

The partial clog was taken care of. But, the $280 charge for less than 15 minute job of running the snake down the toilet is totally, outrageously over priced. In retrospect, I could have just replaced the toilet for less than that.

Previous experiences with this company were very positive. This time I encountered poor customer service including not returning my calls regarding my emergency plumbing problem. Considering this businessadvertises 24/7 service & I didn't even get a call from them when I attempted to contact them was less-than-stellar follow through.I felt as if overall the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. Perhaps, this was simply my perception; regardless not very reassuring for a business, especially plumbing.I can't say for sure, but I felt like I was overcharged for the work that was done, which would have been OK had it fixed my plumbing issue. The phone bid came in very high, which might have been justified had it been proven I actually needed the work covered.Finally, In my experience when a customer asks for a bid on a project, they expect to see it in written form, not phoned in.4/28/2022 UPDATE: My criticism and poor rating were based on dealing with the company, not the quality of work of the technicians. They were prompt, polite, helpful, informative and for them alone I would choose 5 stars !

The guy who came was incredibly professional, on time, and knowledgeable. The cherry on top was that he disinfected the whole bathroom for us! That was service above and beyond what I had expected.

The guys who work for this company are courteous and professional and do a great job. They are also trained to try to get the highest price possible for the company, this is a big brand-name company with very high prices. Their work is good, if you do not mind paying the high prices it is worth it. Otherwise I would shop around for someone with more integrity and care around their pricing.

Called around 9am about a clogged sink drain. The plumber was here within 2 hours. Tried several different ways to unclog sink but it bacame apparent the problem was more severe than I previously assumed. He apologized and didnt charge me. Very clean and very professional.

The Technician, Jeff Orick did an excellent job of repairing my bathroom shower hot water valve. He replaced the washer and the seat. Not only that, he rethread the hot water valve cover outside the shower wall.Jeff did all this work after 8pm on overtime.

The person at the call center had such a strong accent I could barely understand her. It took her a lot of tries to get the spelling of my name. Then there was some mix-up on time zones. Then the wrong repair person was dispatched (water damage, not sewer line clean out). When the right person finally came out, he got the line unclogged, but it was expensive ($500). Next time I'll use a local plumber.

The technician, Dustin, explained what he would do, the cost involved ( high in my opinion) which was adjusted after a senior discount I asked for and described the procedure. I had accidentally disposed of a charcoal infused countertop composter filter that I failed to notice went down the disposal when I washed the container. When black, hairy appearing matter came up the other side of the sink, I thought it was cat hair, then I realized what must have happened. I used Draino which did not budge it, so decided to call Roto-Rooter.He did a great job, used the snake four times and dislodged the item in pieces then in a larger wad. He also recommended a company product which protects the pipes and discouraged the use of acid-based items. I realize all companies have very high service call fees but was taken aback by this charge. I needed my sink right away, so had to make the decision to pay up. I do appreciate the work and the 6 month guarantee.

Tech was very fast and very respectful! This would be a 5 star review, but my service was scheduled for 12pm-4pm and dispatch sent the tech out at 9am. Luckily someone was home to let him in and pay.

We had a backed up sewer line. Of course it was with a house full of out of town guests. And on a Sunday. Did I mention it was Mother’s Day? My husband tried unsuccessfully to snake the line. It was almost 4:00 in the afternoon when I called. They had someone on site in less than an hour. Our tech was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He was able to quickly clear the problem and then ran the camera down the line all the way to the septic tank. He showed us what he saw and told us everything looked good and there were no apparent issues. I was amazed that 2 hours after I called the work was completed. I would definitely use them again.

Do not use Roto Rooter! Had back up, they came out and inspected and said I needed to replace a section of septic line for $3500 because there was an offset in the pipe. Also, said pump of septic was not necessary(they don't perform this service) The offset was actually a clean out in the system, nothing wrong with the line. I also DID need a pump out. TOTAL fail by RR!

I was satisfied with all the hard work they performed. I will call them again if I ever need any plumbing done.

The gentleman That was out here was very efficient and very nice and cordial I was very happy with his performance. What I’m not happy with is he was here for 20 minutes he told me to charge for pulling a toilet is $280 which I think is ridiculous as it took me five minutes to take it off and five minutes to put it on. He was here 20 minutes I had the toilet polled and he gave me a discount and it was still $369 which I think is absolutely ridiculous your timing was great service was great your price is off the charts ridiculous.

I made an appointment on Friday for them to come the following Monday and they required me to book within a 4 hour window. Despite all the lead time and long window they were still unable to make this first appointment so I had to come back from a trip early and wait for 4 hours only for them to cancel within 30 minutes of the window ending.They did reschedule for the next day and made that appointment within the 4 hour window, but it is very expensive for 10 minutes of work and I would have appreciated some better notice when they missed the first appointment. Don't recommend

Terry did a fantastic job. Our sewer line was completely backed up. Roots had gotten into the line near the street. He inspected, cleared the line, backchecked and then marked locations of the issue. This was also on a Sunday evening.

We had a stubborn clog and after trying a few things we found online, the clog was only getting worse. After calling several other companies that provide this service we finally found roto rooter as someone who was available to help. Eric arrived about an hour after I called and he was very professional. Eric took the time to explain potential things he was seeing in our home that may have contributed to a clog and took the time to teach us a few things that will actually help prevent future clogs. After he was finished I saw a noticeable difference in how fast water drained from our sink than before we noticed the clog. While I hope I never need to call Eric again, I'd be happy to work with him in the future.

Although the plumber was professional, says more than the dispatcher who is not only a liar, but extremely unprofessional. Original appointment was set between 3 and 5 pm. Showed up at 7:30. Dispatcher said he tried contacting me said he left a message when I asked him, he said yes. No message. So booked someone else in my time slot. When technition showed up, he told me he could of been here at 3:00 but was dispatched to another job. If your going to lie to your customers, make sure everyone is on the same page. Also tried to charge 370.00 for an hours job but technition made this right. Will not be calling again

He clearly explained what he’d be doing, the cost, the architecture of the drainage pipes, best practices to prevent future toilet blockage, and the 7 day guarantee. He was gracious and kind regarding our attempts to unclog ourself, explaining how his augur was much sturdier and a larger diameter.He worked cleanly, masked and with shoe booties.Abe turned a ‘crappy event’ (pun intended) into a positive experience.

My technician Jared , was prompt, professional, had great communication skills, and did an exemplary job of explaining how my pipes worked, what the suggested solution would be, was up front about the price of snaking the drain. When the clog was able to simply resolve itself by running hot water through several sinks and the tub at the same time without requiring a snake, he didn’t charge me….this is why I always use Rotor Rooter…I have used them three times in 20 years…they always send professional people who are prompt, get the job done, with no surprise bill.

Terry was amazing. I called yesterday (a Sunday evening) at 5:40pm, he was here at 6:10pm. My kids were wild and crazy and asking a million questions. I was super impressed with Terry and how he told the kids- go sit down and watch a movie and I will give you peppermint when I am done. And when there was something they could do he asked them to help. He absolutely did not have to interact with my kids at all. He was here to fix my clogged pipe- but the fact that he not only quickly and efficiently fixed my problem- He was kind to my kids- which is the way to a Moms heart for sure. I have always been a Roto Rooter supporter- but now I will always ask specifically for Terry.

Very professional. I had a clog in the line connecting my tub and sink. I am happy to have them both draining again. My only complaint is the visit that was less then a house was over 469 dollars for the service. I had clog in my utility sink last summer and the same tool was used and it cost 90 dollars. It seems like a lot to me but maybe I am wrong but wanted to share with others so you knew. Thank You

The problem was a badly clogged toilet drain. The clog was apparently more than 15 feet down the sewer line. Jared took all the time necessary to solve the problem, and explained clearly what he was doing at each step.

**RYAN was amazing!!** The beginning of the project was bumpy and warrants only three stars for the coordination/logistics, but Ryan more than compensated for that. He came out, gave a quick estimate, arrived with Jesse later in the week and the two of them fixed two leaking faucets in bathroom tubs (and by leaking I mean a gallon of water an hour).Ryan explained every step, involved me in decisions and came back with a broken part the following business day and took care of the rest. Now when I'm asked, I finally have a plumber in Portland that I can recommend with no hesitation!!

Called to unclog drain in tub. Also to fix spinning faucet handle. Two crews showed up. Couldn't fix handle. Broke screw's holding overflow cove on. Spent and hour trying to snake. Said they couldn't fix it with no recommendations on who could or next steps to take. Tub used to take an hour to drain. Now it takes 10-15 hours todrain. Never again. $300, and it was worse

Dylan was pleasant and professional and I would request him again if I use this company again. Not sure if I will, as I had an appointment Monday that was rescheduled, then no showed, then rescheduled again for today (Wednesday) for a 9-11 time slot. I needed to call again at 1115 after a no-show and was told my service man was late in a meeting. He showed up at 1350 and did a good job. My complaint is with management and empathize with the service personnel put into these types pf awkward positions. Customer time is valuable too!

$500 FLAT FEE for cleaning ONE drain!!! $250/each additional drain. They refuse to tell you this before the tech gets there, probably assuming that by then you just give up and let them do it at that outrageous price. Here is what they said, which was quite misleading because I assumed flexible pricing: Roto-Rooter does not quote prices over the phone or via email (you won't find pricing on our web site, either). Our drain technician will come out to assess the job in person, and provide a firm price on site.

It's clear this place has some issues - our scheduled person never showed up. When I called, they said he had gone home for the day because he was awaiting landlord permission and payment. We own the home, and he never showed up so I'm not sure what we would have paid for. Guess he just decided he wanted to be done for the day.I'm still giving 4 stars because the company still sent someone out the same day, and that person (Alex) was great! He explained everything clearly, and was very friendly and professional.
