Serviceman, Nicholas Bobo, was reliable, efficient, knowledgeable, helpful, and honest. I am very satisfied with what he did and what he explained for me to expect from the next plumber for the follow-up work. He did very thing we needed in a reasonable amount of time. He also made the connection with the plumber who will follow up to alleviate any confusion or missed steps.

Mr. Rooter has been our #1 Choice for Plumbing for many years for projects large and small. This week, we had a terrifying emergency entailing a dishwasher leak. Mr. Rooter helped us immediately ensure the right water was disconnected to prevent a flood. Our expert Plumber, Aisha, came first thing and diagnosed the problem and offered multiple solutions. As usual, Mr. Rooter ensured that our household plumbing issue was treated with urgency, care and all team members were fabulous experts.

So thankful for Mr. Rooter! We had a pipe break on Friday night, along with everyone else in the city! Called dozens of plumbers who were booked solid. Mr. Rooter took my info and told me they would get back to me the next day once they knew what they could offer in terms of an appointment. Heard from them the following day and they were able to send someone out within the hour. The plumber was great and it seems to be a job well done! Everyone we talked to along the process was very helpful and kind. Just what we needed in that situation!

Mr.Rooter (Colby) did a great job. I have a especially challenging older home and Colby was definitely up to the challenge. He was very persistent in finding and eliminating any and all clogs and completed his work in a professional manner. I am very satisfied with the work that was done and glad that I chose Mr.Rooter.

Next day, I hired a handyman to come & fix it. He checked the P-trap, it was fine, he used 100 feet plumber snake; it didn't fix it. He went in the crawl space but didn't find what he was looking for, he removed washer/dryer closet door ,pulled out our dryer to insert the plumber snake into a pipe on the wall & it still didn't fix it. He did leave water damage under our sink cabinet, the door to the washer/dryer closet misaligned & told me I need to go rent a longer plumber snake; that's when I decided to call the professionals. A day wasted!!That evening, I made an appointment with a plumbing company (NOT MR. ROOTER). Following morning, said company, called to confirm appointment & told me they'll have technicians call before they come out between 8am - 12pm. Just before 12pm, concerned since I hadn't heard from the technicians, I called & was told I'm not the only one waiting coz they only have 2 technicians working, and they don't know when they'll be able to get to my case. Upon trying to confirm that they WILL be coming to fix it on that day, I was told that I was one of a group in the 8 to 12 window, waiting & a technician will call when he can. (A courtesy phone call earlier with this info would have been very helpful considering I'd been waiting for 4 hrs for a service that now might not happen on that day at all!!)This is when I called MR. ROOTER!! 2 hours from when I called & the job was done! As I mentioned above, OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!!!!

Best service for any home repair I've had in years. My water heater suddenly started leaking and the situation became dire within 48 hours. I called a different local plumber and they said they could get me on the schedule in 10-14 days. I called Mr. Rooter for help around noon, and by 3pm that same day they had responded, arrived and fully replaced the water heater. The technician was friendly and helpful, and completely eliminated a major household crisis within a couple of hours of my first call. I'm blown away and I'll absolutely call them again for plumbing needs.

Paid $500.00 to have a copper pipe with a hole soldered... I watched what was used and done and the next time I put a hole in a copper pipe which was the next day I went out and brought all of the necessary things to repair and repaired the whole thing for $30. bucks. It's not nice to rip people off just because you can.

I’m am so glad my neighbor recommended Mr. Rooter when our pipe under our home broke. I was able to schedule an appointment for someone to come out the next morning. I thought Mr Rooter was only for blocked pipes and drains, but discovered they are actually expert plumbers for any plumbing job. I needed new mixer valves and trims in both my showers and the job was done expertly and on schedule.

Our piping under our sink seemed to be leaking after we self-installed a garbage disposal. Rick came and did a thorough inspection. We chose to replace our faucet and Rick confirmed all other piping was snug! Will definitely use the company in the future. (We have two homes on one large property.)

I had my garbage disposal installed, but it was put on the wrong side of the sink. They came back and did it for me free of charge. I appreciate when companies make things right because we've all had experiences with those who don't. The plumber was also very pleasant and informative.

Mr. Rooter fixed a sewer line that had a belly. Most companies wanted to tear up our landscaping but they completed the job and the place looked like it was never touched.

Quick, efficient customer service and problem solving. We have had a reoccurring plumbing issue in our commercial building. Two other local companies left scratching their heads about our issue and gave us a band aid fix with a very costly long term solution. Mr. Rooter’s tech, Justin, came out within 90 minutes of the call and thoroughly assessed our entire system with state of the art equipment. We had clear, simple answers and solutions to this ongoing headache within a short time. Justin made great use of his time while onsite during a waiting period by fixing other little issues, he never stopped moving. It really felt like he was on our team, and that is rare to find these days.

Mr. Ric Catlin from Mr. Rooter was beyond amazing! Our first night as homeowners and we had a bath tub faucet that wouldn't shut off - cue panic from us as we scrambled to resolve it ourselves and ended up having to shut off main water supply. Calling all the plumbers in the area I was met with long scheduling times (some were booked 2+ months out) or I was told it would cost $300 just to come out to give us an estimate (which wasn't put towards the end cost).Mr. Rooter put us on a waitlist and Mr. Ric was out the next day (on a Saturday). Not only did he fix our faucet, he showed us step-by-step how to fix it ourselves since we had the same fixture in a different bathroom and these fixtures are known to have the issue we experienced. Ric also answered some plumbing questions we had not related to the faucet and he happily shared his knowledge with us.What started as a total bummer ended with us feeling more confident and knowledgeable. It takes some great customer service to turn a negative experience into a positive, and Ric did just that!

Used their excavation team to scope some roof drains. They were very professional and knowledgable.

We called the night before our service with an emergency, our toilet started over flowing and flooding our bathroom as well as the bathtub started filling. They could have gotten us in that night but we were exhausted so they said that they would leave a message for the office to call us as soon as they open. Heather called first thing in the morning and got us on the schedule and gave us a time frame. We were kept informed of the time frame and our plumber came when they said he would be there. Bradley was knowledgeable and very friendly. We will absolutely call Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Portland when we need service again, and I hope we get Bradley again!

I've hired Mr. Rooter of Portland a few times. The first time was years ago when I lived in a manufactured home and regular plumbers would touch these homes and they were a blessing then. Just last week I need them again,this time for a standard home, and they came and replaced my garbage disposal for a reasonable cost. Then checked all bathrooms, laundry room, and kitchen plumbing for free. Answering all questions with respect (no talking down because I'm female and/or lack of experience with plumbing), and they gave me great info on how to keep my pipes cleaner too! I was so impressed with the customer serves both these men gave me, again on the care, service, respect they give the home owner. I won't use any one else! They were honest with me on pricing (as I looked around for cost of garbage disposals), they cleaned up after themselves leaving everything as I originally had it.I'll say it again, I won't use anyone else! You can't beat the customer service; for example they called and let me know they were going to be slightly delayed and then again when they were about 15 minutes away. I feel and believe I got my money's worth! Need plumbing issues repaired/fixed, call Mr. Rooter!

Jeremy Hicks was a rockstar for us. I've got a 90 year old house with plumbing hiccups at every turn...usually 90 degree turns unfortunately! We had a clog that was a big pain and Jeremy kept at it, eventually having to go up from the basement and taking apart some connections. He was committed to handling the problem for us. Everything is working great now. I really appreciated his sense of humor and willingness to chat with my handyman, who talked his ear off. Hopefully if we need services in the future we can request Jeremy specifically.

I had a whole new main plumbing line from street meter to house replaced and the whole drainage line under the house, plus they gave me a temporary hook up to the meter until the whole thing could be replace, so we didn't have to go without water.

I Needed a tap into a galvanized line for a sprinkler system. The tech took the time to figure out a better way to do it and it works great.

Won’t share any prices over the phone even though they’re standardized. And they do that because they want to get in your house and offer a solution at a very high price so you’re pressured to say yes. Over $400 for just cabling is 4x what I’ve paid in the past. Waste of time.

Tucker, the plumber who did the work, was very thorough and complete in checking everything, explaining the different parts and what was needed. The house was built in 1967 with some wacky plumbing but it didn't seem to pose a problem for him. Plus, I needed and estimate on another issue, which he did. My Dad would have approved, and you can't get a higher compliment than that! I could not be more pleased that I was referred to Mr. Rooter by my friend.Well apparently I never posted the previous paragraph (oops!) but now I'm adding to it: I woke up one morning to find the pipes from a utility sink leaking all over the workshop, but one quick call to Mr. Rooter had Aisha out to my house--and she did a phenomenal job. The sink needed replacing, but I decided to wait and get the sink myself (which never happened!) so another call to Mr. Rooter will bring Aisha out to replace it in a week. She is efficient, friendly, and gets right to business and there is nothing more comforting than knowing the job gets done right the first time! You really feel like when the work is done by Mr. Rooter that they treat it like they would their own home, doing a quality job at a fair price.

I had an outdoor faucet that was dripping and I wanted it replaced. Turned out I needed to also have a pipe that is connected to the faucet also added because it was a pipe that would not freeze in the winter. I have always covered my pipes inside so this was unexpected but the job was done in 90 minutes and the repair person was very tidy. It was much higher than I wanted to spend but it had a 1 year warranty. Overall, beyond the cost...I am happy with the work.

Joel has done such a great job in the past concerning my home plumbing problems that I recommended him without hesitation to my place of employment. (Gladstone Christian Church). He did an outstanding job of not only analyzing the problem with the church's water heater but also discovered other serious issues that we were not even aware of. Due to his diligence we are going to be able to avoid major water damage. Did you know there are many plumbers who say they have emergency service but can't get to you in less than 7-days or don't call you back at all? Believe me, I called them all when my pressure valve broke and I had no water. Mr Rooter was the only company that could respond to my emergency in 24-hours. Nicholas arrived to save the day. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained every step that needed to be taken. Was it expensive? Yes, but I had no water and sometimes you just gotta throw money at the problem. Incredible experience! I finally gave up after numerous attempts to fix my toilet. I called Mr. Rooter and they were there within the hour. Aaron was very professional and kind. He laid out two options to fix the issue and told us which he’d recommend. We went with the safer and more effective solution (though more expensive). He worked for about 30min, took apart the toilet, and fixed the issue. It works perfectly now! Really great job. Total time from call to fixing was about 1.5 hours. Thanks Aaron! You’re awesome!

Our kitchen sink got stopped up and needed to be cabled. A technician was able to show up same-day (within about 90 minutes of calling for help), explained the three options that we had (and pricing for each), and got the drain open quickly despite the clog being pretty far down the pipe. The quoted price was higher than what other companies had quoted but the same-day arrival, quality of service, the technician’s professionalism, and the fact that the under-sink area was left cleaner than when he arrived made the cost worth it.

I had called for a quote for a video and locates and was quoted 185 to most likely a little over 200.00 from a young girl. I took a day off work and had called around to several other companies that were about the same price, so I choose to go with Mr. Rooter because they were local. When the plumber came to my house, he said it would be $336.00!!! It was a brand new clean out and pipe? I told him what he was quoted and he knew that I was quoted that and said if I don't like it, I need to call and complain. It sounded like this has been a problem with them in the past. I called and asked if they could work something out with me since I was misquoted and they did not. Poor Customer service for sure. I went with the company down the street, Drain away plumbing. They were honest and not overpriced. Again, brand new clean out drain for easy entry as well as new plumbing. Pretty simple if you ask me.....

Mr. Caleb Boeck to the rescue. His knowledge, confidence, and kind nature was assuring.We have a brand new house in Brush Prairie, Washington. We've been here 3 weeks when we noticed our toilets and drains were all plugged. There was a river of water in our garage too. WHAT! CALEBS diagnostics were spot on. He spent 4 hours , and between him and our Septic guy, they figured out the problem. The switch was never turned on and not caught by the inspector to drain our system into septic. This is my 4th or 5th time using Mr. Rooter of Portland. Each time I received a very high level of service, quality, and value. However I was remiss in submitting reviews. Friday afternoon at 1:30pm I called to request service to fix a water leak that had appeared on the wall side of the kitchen hot water cutoff valve. At 2:40pm I was notified that Brian was on his way. He arrived at 3:20. By 4:15 everything was fixed, cleaned up, and ship-shape.Brian provided an estimate to replace the offending cutoff valve, which I approved. He got right to work, and in the course of conversation we decided it was best to replace both 1970's era valves to avoid problems later. He did the work and honored his original estimate, basically charging me for one valve replacement instead of two.This is consistent with Mr. Rooter's other visits to my home. React fast, send a great person who happens to be an excellent plumber, quote a reasonable price, deliver more parts and service than expected, charge me the original quoted price.Over the last few years I've hired Mr. Rooter plumbers 4 or 5 times. Brian, Chris, and one other guy (sorry I forgot his name) all had the same helpful, professional, friendly attitude. All three got along well with my spazzy black lab. All three clearly explained the problems, possible solutions, and then delivered more service than expected.I will continue to hire Mr. Rooter for all my plumbing service needs.

Getting fast service this holiday weekend was a challenge. That said, called on Sunday and got a call back that a tech was available Monday morning. The company got me a tech (Joel) early Monday morning. Diagnosed effectively and efficiently and service more than was absolutely required. All this with friendly service and a good sense of humor. The only reason I only have 4 stars was that I called yesterday around 4:30 PM, was told someone would be here within a couple of hours. At 8 PM I got a call that they had been delayed, and would again be here in two hours. I told them to come this morning instead.

Chris Harper was fast but thorough and took time to address all my concerns. HHe also very transparent and made sure there was actually an issue before doing any further work that could cost unnecessary fees.

After having an unhelpful experience with a different plumber, I contacted MR. Rooter to schedule an appointment for an upcoming Monday, they got back to me within 10 minutes of scheduling me online to let me know they had someone they could dispatch the same day. Jason was at my store within the hour! He took the time to explain what was going on, and then with my consent got right to it! He fixed our toilet and our sink in under an hour, was very polite and helpful! Thank you so much Jason!

We were converting from an electric stove to gas. Mr. Rooter was quick to respond and get us an appointment which was great, but then on the day of service the plumber called in (which happens) and nobody else was available to run new gas lines and so we were left without a stove/oven for a week.The day of service arrives and the plumber was pleasant enough and easy to talk to, however, during the set up he asked us for Windex so that he could test for leaks. Not that I've ever had one, he states. I was off-put as to why he'd be asking us, the home owner, for a product to test for leaks and the generally odd 'reassuring' statement. After several hours the plumber states that he is finished, but there was the smell of gas in the house centralized around our new oven. My husband points this out to him and he was dismissive of the concern.Several hours later the smell of gas is still strong in our home despite airing out the house. We called NW Natural (our city's gas utility) who came out and identified the leak and very helpful in making sure our home was safe for the night.We called Mr. Rooter who had a quick response to the situation and sent out the same plumber the next day, however, this required me to take the day off work. The plumber immediately found the leak and stated, Of course it had to start leaking after I left. He fixed the leak in a timely manner. At the end of the service he took our NW Natural paperwork off our counter without asking simply stating, I'll take this since you guys don't need this anymore.I will be going with a different company if I should need similar services in the future

We had a new toilet installed by Mr. Rooter, and, as usual, the work was done in a very timely and efficient Manner. Jason Belcher and Aisha Winters were friendly and happy to explain what was happening.I happily recommend Mr. Rooter.

This is the second time in 15 years I've used Mr Rooter in Portland. Both times I have been very happy with both the work performed and the persons performing the work and handling the call and scheduling.

Sink drain pipe repair

Brian came to my house and performed a sewer scope. His video was clear and his report was detailed. When they fell into scheduling conflicts with one of their jobs rolling over into my appointment time, Heather called me right away and was able to get them to my home a day early. The team works extremely fast, showed respect for my property and worked with my husband and I after they discovered another issue with my line. Even though my husband was frustrated after finding the additional spot in the line and became hard to work with, Brian kept calm and did his best to repair the issue. He understood that we had a very small window of time to get the work done, as we have to move out in a few days and was able to complete the job at that moment instead of coming back at a later date. Brian’s and his team did a fantastic job and their price was unbeatable in comparison to their competitors. Should we ever need help in the future, Brian and his team at Mr. Rooters will be the only ones we call.

Mr Rooter is very responsive compared to others locally that don’t even answer their phones. Jason was on time, professional and got down to business right away. He fixed our problem in a timely fashion and guaranteed his work! I highly recommend Mr Rooter!

When the maintenance team member at our apartment couldn’t fix our sink, he called Mr. Rooter and they were there within an hour. One more hour later and Bradley had fixed our tub clog as well as our sink clog. He also gave us some maintenance plumbing liquid to use each month. I highly recommend this company.

She stated, they don’t give estimates over the phone and would charge to have someone come out and write up an estimate. I’ve called serval other companies that where able to give a rough estimate over the phone and would come out and give a free estimate. Mr. Rooter in Gladstone is all my about making money and not new customers. Unprofessional in my opinion.

I had a backed up shower in my basement and called Chris Moore at Mr Rooter he was at my home in 30 minutes even though it was 7:30 pm. He came in looked at the problem and said let me run my camera down and see what we have, he discovered a clog as well as a break in the main line. Long story short he had the people come out and dig down and replace 5 ft of pipe and solved our problem, the pipe replacement guys were great it was 20 degrees and snowing while they worked and got it all done. Very professional and priced reasonably. I would recommend these folks to anyone.

The service was speedy and the technician was very nice and a good communicator. Yet, I was left with a dripping drain. I was warned ahead of time that the p-trap may be unusable and need replacement, the technician left me with a dripping sink drain. The clog was cleaned out via a clean out down the pipe from the sink. So why open Pandora’s box??? There has to be a tool to flush p trap out without taking it off- the especially if you don’t have the parts to reassemble. Now I have deal with this leaking drain. No fun.

I would give 4.5 stars if google allowed it. Zack cleared my kitchen sink pipe of a blockage that I couldn't reach with my auger. He was very patient with all my questions, explained everything, and showed up 45 mins after I made the call on a Sunday afternoon.The reason for not a perfect rating was because of Mr. Rooter's pricing. However, there are little to no 24/7 options in the PDX, and I justify the cost based around how quick the turnaround was from the phone call to receiving service. Overall, I recommend Mr. Rooter.

I had the best experience with this company. I had a different place give me a quote to do only the pipe repair and all they wanted to do was up sell me to repipe my entire home when there was nothing wrong with anything else. If I had chosen that option they would have gotten to work right away, and if I only wanted them to do the work I called them for they would have to “call the office” to see when they could fit me in. So I decided to call Mr.Rooter plumbing to see what they could do for me. I am so glad I did! Not only did they get someone out right away, they were on time (the other place kept me waiting 2 different times all day), they looked at what needed to be done, got me a price that was WAY more reasonable (the other place wanted over $2300 to replace a very small section of pipe), and they got to work right then and there. No waiting again to call the office, no ridiculous upselling for no reason. They were so great that we decided to replace our garbage disposal then as well. Something that we were planning on doing at some point anyway due to a leak but they were just so great we had them do that as well. They cleaned our lines, replaced the problem section, and replaced our garbage disposal. All of this still came in under what the other company was going to charge to just do the repair. I could not be happier with them. Kevin and Brian did such a great job. They were clean, organized and professional. They were very careful to not let my cats get into the crawl space or outside and it didn’t feel like it was a burden to them. I would recommended them to anyone who needs work done. Needed emergency services for a backed up water main that caused alot of disgusting flooding. I called at be 8:40pm in July 4th. Dispatcher was great, but no return call. I called them back and was on hold 1/2 he so I waited. They never called back, let alone showed up! Then they call back at 8:00am asking if I had to gotten it taken care of! No! I'll never call Mr. Rooter again!

I had a horrific incident in my home where the main sewage line backed up into my kitchen and powder room sink overflowing all over my kitchen counters and floor. I called several 24 hr plumbing services but Mr Rooter was the most responsive. My technician's name was Aaron and he was super friendly, helpful and worked tirelessly to not only pinpoint the issue but to fix it.

I wanted to convert our downstairs to have a little kitchenette. As contractors I've worked with charge and arm and a leg lately, as well are extremely flakey I decided to do this myself and the most complicated part was the plumbing. I was more than pleasantly surprised with Nicholas Bobo from Mr. Rooter, he not only was communicative, personable and helped talk through some areas he found to be difficult to the project. They arrange from the plumbing to the concrete and inspection and this was the final product (right corner). He was also great working with my roomates on letting us know water shut off etc.This project was so fun that I used him again to renovate our bathroom. Same quality of service, but the great thing is my friend (who's a house flipper) tried to convince me to use her guy. They were more expensive, less responsive and just not a pleasure to work with. I will be using Nicholas for all my plumbing needs forever and will recommend him to anyone who will listen :)

The technician was on tiime workd carefully and quickly had my drains cleaned and working properly. he kept his mask on while working and cleaned up the areas in which he workd. he was a very fine workman . This comes from a retired Industrial Ed teacher as well as a n old do it yourselfer.

How peculiar I forgot to mention this appointment to my husband until Jordan's reminder call that Brad would arrive within the hour. Brad was punctual, professional, well-trained and immediately started unclogging ALL of the drains. We used Mr. Rooter to fix a plumbing issue in our kitchen sink. Tim was professional, answered our questions clearly during the up-front estimate to help us make a decision on the right solution to our problem, including rebuilding the under-sink plumbing to avoid future issues.When performing the work, Tim explained he was doing clearly, worked quickly and cleaned up after the work was done. He even showed me how to be able to perform a cleanout in case of repeat clogs in the future.

Does anyone like to call a plumber? No. But, the staff at Mr. Rooter are so nice and professional, you'll feel great. I have spoken to Rose three times when my ground floor house flooded. Update - After numerous calls to Mr. Rooter requesting for the work to be completed and approved by the city, the approval was gained on March 22nd, 2019. Almost 4 months since the work began.We purchased a new home that needed sewer work back on February 15th 2019. Mr. Rooter came in and did the work prior to our move, completed the sidewalk restoration, but never followed up with the city to get the final approval. After following up multiple times over the course of two months, they finally scheduled for the inspector to come in. The city stated that the sidewalk was not meeting their standard and they had to redo it to get their approval. Fast forward 2.5 months, on May 3rd, they came to take out the sidewalk. We've followed up multiple times, have not heard back, and still don't have a timeline of when the work will be fully completed and approved by the city. It's been 3 months - this is unacceptable!

Their guy showed up with a mask, did his work, was courteous and managed to not break our 50-year old plumbing while snaking the pipes - no hesitation in calling them back for any future plumbing issues

I was getting no hot water and suspected a bad thermostat in the gas water heater. The first plumber I called was a 6 day wait. Not good with no hot water.I saw Mr Rooter has a A+ rating with the BBB so gave them a call and Kevin was out in a little over an hour.Since our Bradford White was 9.5 years old it did not seem worthwhile to replace the control panel so I bought another water heater which they carry the same model. It went in fast and is working fine and probably will for another nine years.I probably could have done it for less buying at a big box store but Kevin did a good quick job.Paperwork is on an iPad and when j in Got me email copy I did see I paid $99 for a one year advantage membership which I did not know about. An extra profit center which why I gave four stars as $1800 plus for a 50 gallon gas water heater is enough in itself. No complaints about the work though. Well done.

Great service and guys that really know what they are doing. We had our PVC pipe running from the street break so we're without water for a week. These guys gave us several options and were very informative making it very easy to decide what to do. Once we made a choice they lined it up as quick as possible. Made an appointment a week ahead of time . The technician didn't arrive as scheduled and I never got a call. When I called to follow up they told me they might not even be able to get to me that day. The manager was not interested in helping me address this. Haven't encountered this level of service in the last 20 years.

Very good service but the price and quoting process is rather opaque. Called over to repair a leaking garbage disposal unit. The person I talked to said there was no way I could get a quote. Since they were able to send over a person the next day i went with them. The person who came wore shoe covers and a mask and was very knowledgeable about the topic/equipment. I asked to replace the unit I had with the exact model (which costs around $100) but the bill was over $700! There’s an $89 service fee for having someone come out, which is waived if they do the work, so I just paid for it. But the pricing and inability to get a rough ballpark over the phone took away from an otherwise great experience.

I used their services twice. The first time - everything was fine, 5star. It was expensive, but the technician did a great job, he behaved professionally, was on time and efficient. The second experience was poor. I called them up and scheduled the technician for 1 week in advance. They were supposed to be at my place at 8. At 8:10 I receive a call that the technician will be there soon. He arrived at 9. That's already 1 hour late. And then he looked at my three little projects and gave me an estimate for $1280 explaining to me that that's how they charge - on per project base. The three little projects would take only 3 hours of his time. I know this because I ended up with calling up another company, bonded and insured, that actually arrived on time and got the whole thing done in 3 hours. I think if you want to charge like well educated high-priced lawyers do, then you should behave and conduct yourself as you are worth it. They didn't. The guy was rude. You are not allowed to be rude if you are to give estimates like this. 1 star.

I am more than satisfied with Mr. Rooter. They made a point of sending the same technician who had repaired a previous issue and was already familiar with the plumbing in my home. As usual he quickly and accurately provided a solution for the problem, the estimate was fair, and he took the time to explain everything he was doing to my satisfaction and answered all of my questions not only about the current job but a couple of future jobs I was contemplating. Had an issue in one of my bathrooms. Called the company in the evening to schedule appointment. They said next morning one of the dispatchers would call back to put me on their schedule. She did call back but had the worst attitude I've ever experienced from a business. From the get-go her tone was irritated, dismissive, aggressive and punitive, talking to me like I was a huge nuisance or was asking for a charity. The service that I booked was a $250 service to just investigate the issue, definitely not a charity.The dispatcher asked when I needed the service done and if I'd be home that day. I explained that I'd be home after 8.30 a.m. all day. She snapped back saying then I need to call back when I know when I'm available. I repeated to her that I knew for a fact that I'd be home after 8.30 a.m. (needed to drop my kid at daycare).I never do that, but I couldn't handle it so I told her I didn't appreciate her tone and approach, and if they're not interested in new customers, they could just have told me. She snapped back saying no, I am just trying to understand when you're available. I repeated to her that I was available any time after 8.30. She snapped back saying you need to call back when you're available. I thanked her and was planning to never call them back. Then exactly at 8.30 she called back saying she could send the technician out. I agreed because I desperately needed that service and other companies were booked out several weeks.The technician came out fairly quickly and was very friendly and polite, but was unable to even identify the cause of the issue, not to mention resolve it.So in summary, what I was left with after dealing with this company was a $250 loss, spoiled mood from aggressiveness of the dispatcher and, most importantly, no resolution to my issue.

We had a line run from the city meter to our home. We had all the water-in pipes replaced and the secondary sewer lines replaced as well. A Mr. Rooter scope specialist made us aware of a small piece of the main sewer line out back that was holding water and likely to fail in the future. They dug it up and replaced it to keep things running smoothly. All-in-all it was a week long job and a lot of work.Everything was done exactly as quoted.The crew who worked on our plumbing was knowledgeable, helpful and extremely kind. Big ups to Brian who championed everything and was here all week dealing with our awful crawl space. His support crew was fantastic as well (though I don't remember everyone else by name). Our water pressure is now amazing and runs like a house 30 years its junior. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! I will definitely recommend Mr. Rooter to friends in the future.

Mr Rooter is a reliable plumbing company especially in an emergency. We had a seriously clogged drain and they managed to fit me in right away. If you have time to wait, you might be able to find a more affordable company but overall I've never been disappointed. They are professional, courteous and consistent.

We had a plumbing emergency. When we called our usual plumbing service, they told us it would be five days before they could fit us in. When we called Mr. Rooter, we were told a truck would arrive within an hour. In addition to taking care of our emergency, the guys offered to re-plumb our utility room sink. That was a problem that had bothered me for two years, and they did a first class job in 15 minutes. Now, we'll always call you for any of our plumbing needs.

Technician Colby Leonard arrived on site within one hour of scheduling my service request. He was extremely professional and provided an assessment of my situation in about 10 minutes. The work consisted of a blocked downspout passageway to the street. He used obvious skills from previous jobs to clear the drain and pinpoint a possible break that was causing the problem. Our sump pump gave out on New Year's Day, leaving us with no working plumbing on two floors of our house (which included all of our showers and our washing machine). Amazing!!!! They really saved me ~ I had my toilet and my bathtub back up. They had someone out ASAP, Brad was so helpful with explaining everything and getting the job done. AND Brad noticed something off in my main line and told me if I didn't get it repaired then I would continue to have issues. They had their excavation manager, Brian, come out; again in a very timely manner and use his camera to determine there was actually a hole in my main line. Brian set me up with a plan to get it fixed along with the email of the video so I could see for myself the hole and where it was located. Excellent customer service All around from Heather and the other receptionist (sorry I can't remember her name) always prompt, professional and got me directed or had people call me back in a timely manner. Only thing I would say is their services are expensive but I feel like with plumbing you can't skimp you get what you pay for in a lot of cases and plumbing is not something you want to skip corners around. I feel like if I had just anyone come out I don't think they would have caught the hole in the pipe with a camera. Again AMAZING - PROFESSIONAL - PROMPT - GREAT COMMUNICATION - ON TIME - THORO. Our outside hose bib broke at 5 PM on a Friday. I called several companies and none, including Mr. Rooter, had technicians available to help that evening. (It should be noted that we needed to shut off water to the entire house due to the leak.)HOWEVER, the Mr, Rooter staff promised to add us to their service list, update us regularly, and dispatch as soon as a technician became available. We received regular updates Friday evening and throughout Saturday on the status of our place in line for service even though they did not have staff available on to work on our problem.Sunday morning they were able to dispatch Aisha Winters to determine what could be done. She was able to complete repairs in about an hour including removing and replacing the old cold weather hose bib assembly. The work area inside the garage where she needed to do some of the repairs was, to be generous, a tight fit. Aisha took great care to remove the minimum amount of wallboard and work carefully around the other obstacles.We cannot say enough positive things about Aisha. She demonstrated great care and professionalism throughout the process. I would not hesitate to have her back to do any other plumbing work we might need in the future!.

George Curtis and Atreyu were extremely helpful and hard working. Walked the home taking all precautions to assure they didn't make any type of mess or make us uncomfortable. Very professional and timely. Will forever use Mr rooter because of those gentlemen. Cleaned up everything upon completion (even the mess they did not make) phenomenal experience overall during an extremely stressful time.

Very prompt when I called at sending someone over. They assessed and didn't charge for assessments when the news turned out to be worse and were up front about the damage to my sewer line. They then scheduled a free estimate for a full repair and encouraged us to get multiple quotes. Turned out there was also a clog in our pipes making it worse and the guy who came out for the estimate tried to move it for free with his scoping equipment, but couldn't. Did get a clog removal and in the process of continuing the estimate to fix my old sewer line. Overall pretty pleased with how efficient and up front they were.

My water heater blew its bottom and started to flood my basement but was caught in time. When dealt with the acute issue, Mr. Rooter was the one org that was timely and offering to come in to help while many others were scheduling out a full month down the road. Last night Jason came out for several hours and left about midnight so he could return today. However, Chris and Denis came instead today and were just as professional and friendly, and they worked hard to help me. They will also be back in a week to help me install a line for outside our home to get better access. I've had nothing but professionalism and kindness from any of the four Mr. Rooter plumbers that have helped me in the last 8 months. Would recommend!

We have used Mr. Rooter on many occasions,In Portland and in Bend. The reason we are committed to using Mr. Rooter is they never disappoint. From scheduling to the plumbers they make sure you are well taken care of and very accommodating for YOUR schedule. The other evening a plumber was scheduled late in the afternoon to accommodate our tile setters timeline, the installation of the shower valve was tricky...he stayed until Midnight to get the project done!!!You could not ask for better service!

I called Mr. Rooter for a problematic drain in a small business bathroom. They came out same day, just a few hours later and immediately diagnosed and fixed the issue. I could not be happier with the service provided!

Our house has a pump that takes waste water up to street level. Well the pump went out and we had no bathrooms. The company sent out Mr. Scottie Parks to take a look. He was on time, very helpful up front with what he would be able to do for us. He managed to figure it out quickly and get us a quote within the first 10 minutes or so. He then fixed the issue, and showed us how to prevent those issues going forward. On top of that he was beyond friendly. Incredibly happy with Roto Rooter, incredibly happy with the service Mr. Parks work/knowledge. 10/10 would recommend.

They came over to check for a possible leak but didn’t find any despite being very thorough. They checked all the faucets, under the sink, toilets, and even in the crawl space under the house. Tucker did a fantastic job with our outdoor sewer repair! After weeks of sifting through flakey plumbers and getting the constant run around we stubbled across Tucker at Mr. Rooter he was extremely professional, KNOWLEDGEABLE and a straight shooter when it came to finding a solution to our problem ! The work was done with care and skill, you can really tell he takes pride in his work. Mr Rooter came the next day after a disposal breakdown the evening before. I also decided to go ahead and change out my kitchen faucet. Plumber Rick communicates very well and installed the right disposal for my household. He also had a very nice Delta faucet in his truck. Problems solved. Very nice to work with!

After days of trying to get a contractor's plumber to answer my calls, I decided to give Mr.Rooter a try. The scheduler (Heather) was very accommodating and found a time the same day that fit into my schedule, then gave me a call back to confirm the plumber was en route. Brad fixed the problem (clogged washer drain line) and patiently talked me through some ways to ensure I avoid the problem in the future. He also went over some basic plumbing maintenance that I appreciated as a new home owner. Will definitely call them again if I have plumbing needs.

Had a broken hot water faucet handle and couldn't shut off water. Called Mr. Rooter at 9am they showed up at 2pm. Faucet was 65 years old so they recommended a new one. They left, got the faucet, came back and installed it. Fast service, very reasonable price. It doesn't get any better!!

I had some septic system issues. Caleb from Mr.Rooter came out to my house and really helped me solve the issues. Quite frankly, I’d say he needs a raise. This guy was very professional and really dove head first Into solving the problem. No really, he literally stuck his head into my sewer system to get a better look. My hat goes off to Caleb, he really stuck his neck out for me. Now I can rest at night knowing that whenever nature calls, Mr. Rooter answers!

The plumbing technician, George, was on time, efficient in clearing the backed up sewer line. George was professional and he explained what he was doing the entire time as he also located the intrusion in the sewer line with a sewer scope needing further followup work. George ended up requesting assistance from several other plumbing technicians, Bobo, Jeremy & field expert James, who assisted in changing out 3 toilets, a kitchen faucet and replaced four wall shut-off values with new efficient 1/4 turn types, which helped to complete the job in a efficient and professional manner.I was very satisfied with all the work completed and would highly recommend Mr Rooter for any plumbing needs.

Chas Adams from Mr. Rooter came to my home in Beaverton yesterday to check and clean the underground drainage system connected to my downspout that was not draining properly. I am an out of state landlord so I could not see the problems for myself but Chas was thorough in his explanation of how the drain system ran from front to back and around to the other side of the front. He checked all the drains and used a high pressure water clean out and also used a camera to see what was causing the problem. He said he got it draining well and should last a number of years. This company quotes a price right of front and if once the technician assesses the problem and the client agrees they can get right to work. I liked that because I called another company who's receptionist was a bit curt and say they charge $272 per hour. I did not like the uncertainty of what that could add up to or if that included transportation time. I also had another bid from a private handyman and his bid was higher than Mr. Rooter who has the equipment and trained technicians so it was definitely the way to go. Thank you Chas for your polite and thorough explanations and patient answers to my question and a job well done.

I was trying to install a quick connector for a gas grill onto an existing gas outlet. Easy job, but I thought the plug was too tight for me to remove. I was referred to Mr. Rooter of Portland through Plumber Pros, which promised free estimates. When I called Mr. Rooter, although I told them I just needed a tight plug to be unscrewed, they would not give me an exact estimate but told me it was $69 minimum for them to come out. Considering I had received similar quotes, I thought $69 was a reasonable amount to pay to have a plug removed. The guy showed up , spent less than a minute looking at it and told me they had a $295 minimum service charge. I said no, thank you and so he proceeded to charge me $69+tax just for showing up and telling me about the $295 minimum charge. If they had a $295 minimum service charge, why wasn't I told this over the phone when I asked for a quote? I later spoke to a manager about it and he reversed the charge, but I feel like they should have been a little more upfront about minimum fees. I would not have had them come out if I knew it was going to cost $295 to unscrew a plug.

Scottie worked on my drainage problem that was backing up from my washing machine and my kitchen sinks. He was so clear and professional, and explained as much as I wanted explained.He checked and double checked his work before he left and cleaned everything thoroughly. He was here during dinner time and he gave no indication he was trying to expedite things so he could eat dinner. My only regret was that I forgot to give him cookies that I’d referred to during the visit! It’s rare to experience such a pleasant service experience.

He was at my house within an hour of calling, very courteous, helpful in explaining everything and making sure I understood everything. He was able to fix in a half hour what another company charged me $1000 for 2 days prior and told me they couldn't fix it afterall. Mr. Rooter has my business, and any other business I can refer to you, all thanks to Jason and his excellent service.

My experience with Mr. Rooter was great. I called around 8:30 am on Saturday morning and our tech Alex Vargas was at our house in less than hour. We couldn’t have had a better tech. He had great customer service, very knowledgeable and just a really great friendly guy. He literally unclogged our toilet in a minute and power washed our kitchen pipe In Just a few minutes. I had the plumber we have used for years out to our personal rental house to find a leak from the shower which eventually found it's way into a basement window well on an outside wall. Within 15 minutes it would fill up the window well and run over into the basement through the window.Agonizing! He had no idea how to trace the problem. I had Mr. Rooter send their sewer scope guy out and that produced nothing. This review is for Joel Boren a plumber with Mr. Rooter. I'm not sure whether he works out of the Vancouver store or Portland store. He came determined to find and repair the problem. I was certain it was going to require breaking up the concrete area outside the bathroom wall to find the source of the leak. NOPE! Joel found a peep hole through the outside wall of the bathroom, turned the shower on, and with his phone light saw a sliver of water running. He made a couple of measurements to pinpoint the problem, and with sawsall went to work on the bathroom floor next to the toilet. BINGO! His cut was perfectly in the middle of the broken drain line. Twenty minutes later the line was repaired, the hole was covered, and he was on his way. GOOD SHOW JOEL!!Bill Lamberth

This is the second time I've had to use them for a different issue and they are always honest and do great work.

My sump pump went out and Mr Rooter Plumbing got their team out quickly. They were professional, friendly, and worked efficiently to get the job done. Just in time before a big rain storm. I inquired about adding an alarm should the pump fail in the future and they researched what was available and provided a reasonable quote. The next day that was installed and now I have peace of mind for years to come!

Tech came out on Thanksgiving evening to unclog a toilet. He was very pleasant and respectful. He quoted us the price for the work and got my permission before starting the work. He completed the repair in good time and did a very good job of cleaning and disinfecting afterwards.

We had a clogged septic drain this morning. Called Mr. Rooter for help. The tech they sent out was Scottie Parks. He showed up within 3 hrs of when I called. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Scottie did an amazing job of keeping us informed and fixed our drain problem in short order. He was very professional and his demeanor was outstanding. Our experience with Mr. Rooter was positive for sure.

I called Mr Rooter spoke with Heather who is excellent with customer service and very professional. I was put on a wait list due to a very busy schedule and soon after recieved a call that a service technician would be to my house within the hour. When my service technician arrived it was Aisha , I highly recommend Aisha she is very personable, professional and great at her job I had been without water for a little under 24 hours. I told Aisha that I needed to be at a 60th birthday party within 2 hours this woman replaced the broken pipe and had me showering within the hour!! We had a blockage in our sewer line that needed their service. They came out quickly, were friendly and clean. They quoted a price which was a bit high, but they were there. The price ended up being lower than quoted which was nice. And they scoped finding the reason for the clog which was screws penetrating into the sewer line. They offered services to fix problem but encouraged us to reach out to our original contract which we did.

We had an issue with a possible frozen pipe between us and our well pump-house that's 200 feet away, and Nicholas Bobo & the second plumber (Jeremy? I can't remember his name!) were quick, professional, and got us hooked back up to water while the pipe issue worked itself out. This is the second time we've used Mr. Rooter, and I highly recommend them!

Jason B. and Jim were really excellent! Great communication from the company before they arrived. When they got here they were both friendly and open about the issue and likely resolution. They both used shoe coverings to keep the floor clean which I appreciate a lot. The whole procedure was done in a really reasonable time and they fully explained what the problem was and how they reached the quoted amount of the work. They presented the quote before starting the work and the inspection did not cost anything. The final price was exactly what was quoted. When the work began they were efficient and got it done fast. It looked like they made extra effort to ensure the problem was fully fixed and gave me a full explanation of how the work went, the results, and they even identified some issues that I need to address with the pipes. Overall this was a really great experience given the situation I was in and I would certainly recommend these guys as excellent representatives of what you can expect from calling Mr. Rooter. Called other plumbers but were not able to come out for a couple days. Called Mr Rooter at 8:00 am this morning and Phil was here by 8:25 am. Very professional and walked me through what he was going to do to unclog our toilet. Phil cleaned as he went and kept me informed while he was working on the problem. Very happy with Phil and the job he did. Highly recommended Mr Rooter and Phil.

Our basement bathroom starting showing signs of backing up (gurgling drains and toilet) late on a Monday evening, so we desperately started calling all of the local plumbing outfits. Mr. Rooter was the only one that had a tech nearby that could stop by in 30 minutes. Turns out he lives around the corner from us, and was able to clear the clog in our mainline fairly quickly after arriving. Professional and friendly, if you get a chance ask for Colby!

Kate was sent to our house to fix the water heater the same day we called for help. The old one had died. She took the time to answer all my questions and to make sure that we were on the same page before she proceeded. She procured a new water heater, removed the old one and replaced it with a new water heater. We are so happy with the work she did! We now have plenty of hot water.

Water through 2nd floor ceiling. Called. Showed up the same day.Knew there was a leak on the water closet in-line. Fixed that. Still some water dripping into bucket. Called. Back out in 1.5 days. Turned out the bee's wax seal and the toilet seal were bad. (24.5 years old). Fixed that. All good.Plumber James had a good attitude and knew what he was doing.

Response time was prompt and the repairperson was very professional and pleasant. The only issue is that the cost of the service was rather expensive.

Brad had been thorough with my kitchen and bathroom:no mess,no stench, no upset cats. Looks like everything is going down and not backing up from kitchen to bathtub-glad he mentioned the warranty so DH can have his turn kicking around the waterworks.

They were awesome-super communicative and efficient

We really liked our plumber Mike and the work he did which included several issues. However, the company has an attitude that they are more important than the customer. We made an appointment a week early, on the day of was expecting the plumber around 11am but by 1:30pm it was a no show. Called Mr. Rooter only to find out that we had a ten minute window earlier that morning when they called to confirm because there was room on the schedule for him to come before 11am. Because we didn't call back they moved him on, and completely dishonored the appointment we had made. This is ludicrous and not how you treat a customer. My husband was at work all ready and I was in process of getting to work. We were not expecting an earlier appointment. We were expecting the appointment we had made and we were prepared to honor. This company charges high prices and should respect the people's monies they are taking. I did not re-schedule because I am not going to be treated like a pawn on a chessboard. I am the customer. I don't need to prove anything to Mr. Rooter Plumbing, instead they need to prove to me that my business is respected and honored.

Brian was so helpful and knowledgeable. We have used Mr Rooter to replace a lot of pipes in our old home and they are the best! We are so grateful for Brian’s help and for his being so knowledgeable today to solve some issues that comes with old homes.

Joel came out on a Sunday and repaired the broken/stuck cartridge inside our faucet for our bathtub/shower, also installed a new gasket in the tub overfill pipe as the old one had gone bad. Told me a few helpful maintenance tips and pointers on a few plumbing things I had questions about. Awesome employee and represented Mr Rooter in the most professional manner, awesome customer service!!
