Best Water Conditioning in Minneapolis MN

Ok, I'll break this review in three parts. Service description, Service Quality, and Pricing.

Description:
Technician replaced pvc pipes under the kitchen sink.

Service Quality:
The Technician (Josh) arrived on time, we went through the issue description and he described very clearly what needed to be done. Long story short, he said I needed to install new pvc pipes. He completed his work in a very fast manner, and everything worked as expected.

Pricing:
Here's where I think Minnesota Plumbing and Heating has a LOT TO IMPROVE! Josh showed me a first quote of 800 dlls for replacing the pvc pipes (I have pictures, so you can see that I'm not crazy and that this is way overpriced). I said Wow, 800 dlls, I can't afford that. He suggested that I talk to his supervisor (Andy), which I did. Andy used the typical World class service blah blah blah speech and said that the best he could do was to charge me 650 instead of 800 dlls (as if he was doing me a favor). I said ok (I'm new to the area and I don't know anything about service prices). It wasn't until Josh had left when I checked with friends, family and other sources - they all agreed that their service was way overpriced.

It took Josh exactly 1 hour to complete the work (I documented everything). 1 hour to replace 20 dll pipes and they charged 650 dlls. I don't know where they get their prices, or how they do their market research but that's insanely above market price.

Recommendation: simple, if you are looking for a plumbing service with honest fair prices and don't want to feel abused, please keep looking. I bet there are way more affordable and more customer oriented companies out here in MN.

Fixed our broken pipe quickly. We started dinner while he worked and were able to dishes when we finished our meal. He was late because of traffic and even tossed in a discount. Would gladly do business with Jake again!

Friendly serviceman, good work, timely responsiveness, competitive prices.

Super happy we went with these guys. They came highly recommended by Tim from Ron the Sewer Rat. We called them this morning, left a message, and they got back to us within the next hour. They were at our house by 1:15. Super nice guys. Didn't get their names. But they got right to work. The price to fix what needed to be fixed was very fair. If there's ever something that I cannot do myself, I'm calling them!

Jeff was very knowledgeable and clearly explained next steps to us. He was very personable and respectful. I hope we get him again when we have another appointment.

Great service. Zach emailed me quickly, and it was a holiday. Maria, the service tech, arrived the next day. She logically went through a problem diagnosis. She Repaired, and recharged the ac.

I have been a Standard Heating customer for a number of years and appreciate their professionalism and willingness to explain the service they provide, whether it’s repairing and or performing routine maintenance on our HVAC system..

When our refrigerator began spewing water and flooding our kitchen we called Ken's Sewer, Drain, & Plumbing after hours and the gentleman who answered was kind enough to talk us through a temporary solution over the phone saving us hundreds of dollars in emergency plumbing expenses. It allowed us to keep the water on for the rest of the house without flooding the kitchen. We were so thankful!

Quoted me $853 to reconnect two copper to black pipe natural gas connections -- and that was the basic quote... I didn't even want to hear the quotes that would include upgrades that were NOT needed. I declined and still had to pay the $49 trip charge. Home Service Plus came out the next day and did the job in less than an hour for a total of $176 parts and labor. I'll let you judge if this was an attempted ripoff or not!

On Tuesday, October 7, 2019, Jeremy Petersen along with Austin came to my home repairing a concern that I had. Austin gave an excellent pitch and I was very interested in having two toilets installed in my home. They both installed the toilets in a timely and expertly manner. By the evening I had a concern regarding the height of the toilet in one of my bathrooms. Jeremy and Austin both came out again and Jeremy listened to my concern and went the extra mile in accommodating my request.The office scheduled another home visit for today, October 10, 2019. Jeremy came out and installed the toilet that met my needs. After looking over the new installation I became filled with so much relief, gratitude and the job was done so expertly I saw and felt the excellent workmanship that Mr. Petersen had just performed. Most of all I would like to comment on Mr. Petersen beautiful smile that gave me the reassurance that he did not mine going the extra mile for me. Nick was friendly and efficient. Great job explaining what he was doing and the service our AC needed.

A bit of a bait and switch on the preventative maintenance sale. The technician oversold how good this service and I’ve been very disappointed. Very difficult to get someone out to actually perform this service. They claim their service is far superior and therefore worth paying a higher price, but not buying into it on the preventative side. A waste of $10-12 per month so far.

Steve @ Hibernian Plumbing did a great job helping me out of an emergency plumbing situation at my house-- he actually helped make it a positive experience. He was knowledgeable, fair, professional, and absolutely lovely to work with. I highly recommend Hibernian Plumbing.

Received quote for toilet replacement and the bid was nearly 2x the price of the other plumbing company.The plumber who showed up was professional and explained the project in detail, including drawings for what work he determined needed to be done.
