Ken's Sewer Service

After striking out with 6 other companies that advertise emergency service but didn't have availability for several days, a friend gave me the phone number for Ken's Sewer Service to fix my sewer line backing up, and not only were they able to get someone out within an hour, but they were very nice and professional. Highly recommend!

These guys have been my go to for main line cleanouts over the years. Very responsive and they're always able to get someone out quickly, which is very important when your main line is backed up due to root intrusions.

A Kens Sewer Service subcontractor unplugged my floor drain on New Years Day, for $125 with senior discount. The subcontractor was a great guy to do business with. I have done business with them in the past, and pleased with their service so far. The service you get depends on the person who actually does the job.

I originally called Hiawatha Plumbing and a subcontractor from Kens Sewer Service was able to come out within a few hours of my initial call where most companies I called were scheduling the next day. They were up front about pricing when I called so I knew what I was getting myself into and could compare with other quotes.

I believe the technician's name was Spencer. He was very professional throughout. He didn't mind me hovering a bit and asking questions so I could understand what was needed, the likely cause, and recommendations for future as he cleaned the main line in my basement. I also had blockage from my floor drain in my laundry room to the main line. He brought in his own plunger just in case that would be enough to avoid further work. When more work was required he was honest about pricing informing me that if I called them on another day I would be charged the original price for another job, but if he completed the work now it would be half price bc he was already there.
He was timely with his work, explained the steps he was taking, and made sure he used the proper tarps to avoid spills on my carpet/furniture and cleaned up well.
Pricing was good especially compared to his prior experience working with larger companies in the area.
Will definitely call them again and ask for Spencer.

Had a main drain line overflow which we noticed on a Saturday night. Called Ken's the next morning and they came within a few hours to un-clog the line. Been a week since and everything seems to be good. Reasonably priced and quick to the job. Highly recommend.

I just needed help removing a stuck shower valve cartridge. I've also used them to clear my service line occasionally. They're always on time, friendly, professional, and thorough.

Be very careful in negotiations with this company. I called their company up and asked if they could beat a price of 390 plus dollars, he said yes. He beat the price by a few dollars. When the service man came out, I asked him what they change. It was 160 for the first hour and 80 dollars after that. The service man was there less than an hour. He still changed me over 299 dollars for time. I asked him why you are charging me above your rate, he said that is what we agreed too. I can not argue that, but I did find a better plumber than this. He got me, I will not use them again. Interesting he bills under the company

This company is excellent.

I called them when there was a plumbing problem late at night. I was told that night time work costs a fortune and there was a very simple way for me to temporarily fix the problem until a plumber could come out in the morning.

The plumber came exactly in the given timeframe. He fixed the problems and thoroughly cleaned up. What had been broken now works much better than it did originally.

This is the first time I've used Ken's Sewer Service and will call them again if we have more plumbing issues.

Ken's has saved the day for me more than once. Always fast and friendly service. I still cannot believe they sent someone to my house within a couple of hours - on a weekend! I have a giant tree, so roots are an ongoing issue. Many many thanks again.

Ken and his son (very nice guys) came out on a Saturday night and cleaned out my floor drain. It was a difficult job and they were very thorough and made sure that it was completely clear. The price was very reasonable.

Called for nonemergent plumbing needs. Understand the staffing shortage everywhere. We were given 40 minute notice that they could come in the middle of the workday, without having given any prior mention of which day they might be able to come. When asked if it would be possible to get a day, at least, to expect them, was told they'll do the best they can do. When asked about getting a day, even if it was in a week, was told again they'd do their best. Then gave me a 3 day window when they MIGHT be available, and would only be able to give 30 minute notice.
They are less than an ideal place to go if you don't work from home or don't sit at home waiting around with nothing else to do.

Our toilet valve was leaking on one of the coldest nights of the year and we could not turn it off. We called Ken's Sewer and they were very responsive in taking our call on a Sunday night and instructing us on how to turn off the main water line in a safe manner until the morning. They came first thing in the morning and replaced our valve and also made some repairs to two of our toilet tanks. The service was extremely reasonably priced. Will call Ken's again!

quick clean service.

We had a clog in our sewer (toilet wouldn't flush and sewage was backing up through our shower!) Called a few other places who couldn't get to us for 4 days. I called Ken and they sent someone out in a matter of hours. The tech (Diego) was professional and courteous. He wore a mask without me having to ask, which I really appreciated! I sincerely hope we don't have any more unpleasant plumbing surprises but if we do Ken's Sewer will be my first phone call!

My wife and I own several properties. We have used Ken's Sewer for over 30 years because of their competence and rapid response.Yesterday, we had a clogged sink, and they came out quickly for the repair. The tenant's marveled at the fast service and how clean the technician left the bathroom area. I recommend Ken's Sewer highly and without reservation!

After giving us advice over the phone, Ken's Sewer Service came out and spent four (4!) hours digging ten (10!) years worth of tree roots out of our main sewer line. Their prompt and professional response saved us from a much, much worse situation. Thank you so much!!

The technician was very professional, explained every detail, and did the extra things like lubricating the sewer access cap so the next person would have an easier time getting the cap off. He was on time and was very efficient. Plus, he was very reasonably priced. I am very happy with his service and will definitely call him again in the future.

Had a sump pump pipe burst late last night (with water going everywhere) and Ken’s Sewer Service had a specialist out to the house within an hour. Upon inspection, the specialist ultimately determined that the pump needed to be replaced... and installed a working solution to get us thru the night and stabilized until a new pump could be installed later the next day. No one answered or even returned our calls in our emergency... but Ken’s Sewer Service did. Professional, quality work, and friendly. 5 stars.

Called kens looking for a new trustworthy plumber. Was not as lucky as i hoped, called and got quotes for a main sewer clog. Financially it made sense so i set an appointment. When contractors arrived they had no idea i was quoted already. So we had to call the company on speaker phone to discuss this with the contracters. They did not tell me about extra charges. Was not able to get work done called to talk to the owner and he hung up on me very unprofessional will not go back and recomend anyone to go SOMEWHERE else.

I have been using Ken's Sewer Service for many years and have always been very satisfied with their work. They are very honest, prompt and competent!

Best service I DIDN’T have to hire. Instead of sending someone out they gave me advice over the phone to thaw my pipe DIY, earning my trust and guaranteed business for my next non-DIY problem!

I left a voicemail for Ken at midnight on a saturday and he called 7 AM Sunday of memorial day weekend and had someone over by 9 AM. Fixed the issue causing flooding in my basement in 2 hours. Val was my plumber and did a fantastic job, if you're in SLP give them a call.

Be aware and make sure to ask plumbers and apprentices about ALL costs (as they are contracted out). The plumber asks for compensation by the hour but do not explicitly state when the hour starts so make sure you and they agree on a start time. Additionally, my drain cleaning which should have only taken well below an hour took more than that as the total time stated by the plumbers seemed inaccurate. I had the same exact plumbing services done by Ken's services before and it took way less than an hour. Additionally, water and drainage chemicals I used previously to unclog the drain started leaking out of the pipe they had opened and the plumbers did not bother to take care of it, even asking the client to find a pail and blaming me for using the products. All that black gunk spilled all over appliances and the walls and as the plumbers attempted to clean it, did not do a thorough job. Black gunk was left all over appliances and in the sink. At the end, they then notified me that cleaning products costs extra (did not mention this before when discussing costs) and charged me for that too (and the horrible job).

Overall, very dissatisfied. Will not be using Ken's services again. There are hidden costs and inaccurate costs of services.

I just had an excellent experience with Ken’s Sewer Service. Wow!
I was in a pinch with a bath faucet that I couldn’t turn off and was gushing water. Over night, we got a dumping of snow and the roads were really bad, schools closed, so I was concerned no one would come out. Ken’s Sewer’s owner quickly dispatched a plumber who came with the repair parts and tools needed to quickly address the faucet issue. The staff was professional, friendly, clean, and efficient. I’m grateful to find a team that is reliable, honest, and a great value. Thank you so much to the owner and his team for excellent service!

I called around to multiple places to try and get a plumber to come out on a Saturday to fix a leaking pipe in my basement, and these guys delivered! They were fully booked for the day, but the technician agreed to stop by after his last job of the day and stayed until 8:30 pm to fix the problem. I am so appreciative! I thought the problem was just a leaking pipe, but it turned out that we had a blocked sewer line that was adding pressure to our pipes and making the leak worse. He fixed the leak and unblocked the line. Given that it was a Saturday night after a long work day, I wouldn't have blamed him if he had just fixed the leak and called it good, but he fully diagnosed the bigger problem. I was surprised by how reasonable the prices were, too. I highly recommend these plumbers for service and value.

Had a kitchen drain that needed clearing. They had someone to my place in a couple of hours and the problem was solved. Friendly service and reasonable rates. I don't know about how they deal with higher level stuff than this, but I was happy with what I got.

I needed drain cleaning service on very short notice on a Sunday. Called Ken's Sewer Service and it was very easy to work with them. Took a picture, texted it and about an hour later I had someone working on my drain clean up. Fair price for weekend service and 10% discount for being a first time customer. Highly recommend.

Terrible service, put a baby mouse in my pipes.

The guy did a great job, but I was surprised that he didn't do anything to protect our carpet. He didn't take his boots off, wheeled the augur downstairs, didn't have his own tarps (I provided a drop sheet). Just surprising.

Not a frequent reviewer, but alas this experience was horrible. We had basic pipe-plumbing work done and that was decent enough. However, we contacted them for a small follow up about 14 times, offered to pay... Nothing. Every single time, sure, sure... we'll call you back. No call. No help. No basic customer service, no simple human decency.

Really sad, but if you want any form of customer service and transparency, run the other direction. Quickly.

The floor drains in my lower level shower and laundry room backed up over the weekend. It was bad. Very bad. Ken's was able to come out same day - on a Sunday, during the Vikings game no less! - and do some extensive drain cleaning. The person I talked to on the phone, and the techs who came out were professional and nice. The clogs were stubborn and it took a while to get it all resolved. Ken's could have raked me over the coals, price-wise, because I was in such a pickle, but I think the price was fair.

Chris & Angie installed a new shower faucet handle and faucet head in our bathroom, replacing our original one from 1940. It was an extensive job and Chris had to drill multiple holes through the wall, access panel & original wood studs in order to create the new shower line. They got it sealed up and running like a dream! Third time they've been to our house, great service, skilled workmanship, very professional and spot on value. Costs exceeded their original quote only because the labor was much more extensive once they opened up the wall, but only by $300. When we call Ken's we always ask for Chris & Angie, having a master plumber walk into your house gives absolute peace of mind. Thank you for always exceeding our expectations, you will get our fourth call in the future!

Ken's Sewer Service is the best! We had a plumbing emergency with a clogged toilet that was overflowing from running any water in our house. We initially had another plumber come out right away that thought our septic was full and couldn't do anything to fix the toilet. That wasn't the case and we still had an emergency on our hands, so after calling over a dozen plumbers I found Ken's and they were able to send out a plumber that same day. Our plumber was super nice, professional, and found the issue right away and fixed it within less than an hour. We will 100% be calling Ken's for any future plumbing needs- but hopefully not for a while :)

The technician was not thorough in checking out possible clogs. Tools included a powered snake but no water jet equipment. Once the need to pump out the settlement tank was identified, he did nothing more to assist me until that job was completed.

On New Years eve, our floor drain in the basement backed up. I called a company I had previously used. They said they couldn't come out until Monday and there was no way I wasn't going to use my plumbing for 4 days! I called Ken's and they showed up within the hour, fixed the problem and were incredibly affordable! Definitely will use them again but hopefully won't have to!

Quick response to phone call and quick dispatch of a tech to clear my mainline. From the first phone call to when the mainline was cleared was faster than the first plumber I called before them took to call me back. All on New Year's Day. Highly satisfied and will be using them again.

Our line to the street was clogged and water was rising in the basement floor drain. These guys showed up on time and quickly fixed the problem—and on a Sunday. Great work at the price we agreed on!

Called Ken's when we found a spraying leak on our main water line where it meets the city's water meter. He got someone out quickly and also contacted the city about getting the special replacement part that was needed. From beginning-to-end, it was a very enjoyable experience and I really got the feeling that they went the extra mile. Also, the final repair cost was less than some of the bigger plumbing companies wanted just to come out and look at the problem. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend if your drain needs to be unclogged. George was very friendly and worked fast to help our clogged kitchen sink.

My cold water shower handle was causing a continuous leak from the tub faucet and needed a new cartridge inside the handle. Harrison arrived, removed the part in less than 10 min, and left to go find the correct part at the nearby Park Supply Co. It took a while to find the part (they have 1000's) and stand in line (co-vid) for the $35 part. He got the part in within 15 minutes and cleaned up. Charged $200 for the time/labor and $50 for the part...I'll consider the extra $15 a built-in tip. I was happy, though. The first company I called (Discount Rooter) wanted $900 to rip out a wall, cut out my plumbing, remove the entire fixture and plumbing, and replace it all with an ugly fixture set in a beat-up box that was probably sitting around in their shop for a while. It certainly didn't match anything I had. I told the guy to leave, he stomped out....he'd only been plumbing for 5 years, while good ol' Harrison had been doing it for decades.

Rubin came to visit with our clogged sink. He was incredibly friendly, clean and tidy. He left our bathroom cleaner than it was before. We also appreciated him explaining what caused the blockage

Floor drain was backing up. Called at about 1:00 in the afternoon by 4:00. They had a guy here. Took about 30 minutes. Clean the drain, $200 and everything's working great. Will definitely use Ken's sewer service the next time. I have a clogged drain that I can't get to.

Wow! When Angie and Chris arrived I knew I would be taken care of. They got right to work and did a good job of explaining what they were doing. Chris was able to find my leak on the first try after doing some investigation and measuring to find the potential problem area, genius. He already suspected it was a nail that went through my water line, he was right! He was able to repair quickly so my house is back up and running again, no more dripping water.. Easily fixed drain clog that several others couldn't.

Very very disappointed.. I had them come over to clean the main line. Within 3 weeks it got clogged again and they said they’ll charge me if I have them come over again.
I understand that it didn’t have warranty but you would expect the slightest level of professionalism that would have integrity to come over and re do it if the job wasn’t done right the first time.

I got home from work only to find dirty paper towels that they used on my counter, they left the old garbage disposal in a box on the floor, they left the old faucet in a bag w all the dirty pipes on my kitchen floor where the old faucet leaked all over my floor. I have2dogs that could of gotten into the dirty pipes& other pieces left on the floor in a box which was wide open. Took pictures and they claim they didn’t leave it that way. Called and basically felt like I got blown off. Then they in less words are calling us liars. Would NEVER recommend to anyone. Beyond unprofessional

Homeowner worst nightmare come true on a Sunday afternoon--sewer line back up!! Noooo!! Ken's to the rescue...sent out a tech within 35 minutes. George took great care to lay down tarp to protect the carpet and clearly explained pricing before starting. He worked tirelessly until the tree roots were cleared from the line! He's my hero!!! It’s great to have a company where I can talk to someone on the phone who understands the problem. I used to use Ron’s sewer rats but as they became larger they switched the receptionist from someone with technical knowledge to someone only able to make appointments. My dad recently had a clogged floor drain that caused some flooding. Within an hour of calling, an employee came over, fixed the issue, and the price was very reasonable! It was a very quick process from start to finish!

I had an issue in my home with a backed up drain. A tech came out right away on a Sunday afternoon. He was very thorough and tried to resolve the issue. When he couldn't I worked with Dan to figure out what the problem was--which was due to the city's main sewage pipe. He quickly explained to me the steps I needed to take to get the issue resolved. He checked back in with me late in the evening to make sure everything was working well. I would recommend them to anyone who is having small plumbing issues or larger ones. They were very affordably priced and offered a lot of explanation into what they were doing before they proceeded. Great service and will definitely be using them again in the future!

When calling Ken's sewer, ask to speak to Dan. He is both helpful and responsive. Our tenant called us in the evening on Dec. 30th to inform us that the floor drain was backing up into the laundry room. This meant, if either unit were to use a large quantity of water, the laundry and lower unit would flood. I called Dan and he was able to arrange for a technician to come out within a 1/2 hour, though the technician, Marcus, had been on his way home after a long day. I did pay an after hours fee but it was worth it to have such a quick response and no water damage to deal with on New Year's Eve. When I called Dan back in the morning to ask some questions, Dan took the time to answer all of them and offer preventative advice. Thank you Dan and Marcus for your quick response.

I call them to check my leaking toilet. I wasn't home but my nephew was; I was talking to the guy on the phone, he gave me 3 estimates. I asked him to leave me a written estimate and proceed to explain.... he hung up on me.

I called Ken’s drain cleaning because it was recommended to me by our handyman. He said he’s used him for over 20 years, and they’ve always done great work. We had an issue with Water on the floor where we have our grate drain in our utility room. After spending probably about 15 to 20 minutes on the phone with me walking me through different things to try so he knew exactly how to help me, it was determined that it was water softener issue, not an issue with the drain (so he didn’t need to come out). He gave me some ideas of how to fix it, and said to call back if we needed replacement or they could help with some aspect of it that we couldn’t fix ourselves. I was really impressed that he gave me so much of his time and was not just trying to get in the door to charge a service fee. I will definitely be contacting them for any of our future needs!

From when I called to when the plumber left they were great. We had a sewer back so we needed someone right away and of course on a Sunday. When I called they were very reassuring and said they take care it. They got someone out right away. He kept us informed of every step he had to take. Basement shower and laundry room flooded after midnight. I called in the early morning. Got a friendly response and Scott was at our home within 1 1/2 hours. Scott was great. And quick. And price was so good for an emergency call. So pleasantly surprised! Highly recommend this company and Scott. Thank you! We even got on their schedule for a yearly tree root clean out!!!

Marcus just left and he did an awesome job. Cleaned out our main line to the sewer that was full of roots. He also cleaned out a trunk line. Did a great job. Made it look easy. Cleaned up after himself. He was on time. Very polite, helpful guy. There's absolutely nothing I could ask for as an improvement.

Fantastic service. Efficient, friendly, and quality pipe repair. Had it soldered and leak free in less than 30 minutes! Responded right away with a phone call, got lucky and they were able to come out the next morning to repair our pipe to the outdoor water spigot. We usually get our main line (sewer) cleaned every 2 years, but forgot to have the service done (so it's been 3 years! oops!). This morning I noticed our floor drain in the laundry room was backing up. Called Ken's -- and got same day service at a very reasonable price! We're so grateful!!

We've had Val come out twice now. First time we had an emergency, and he was in time and extremely efficient. Second time Val came out he was just as efficient, and professionally installed our new kitchen sink. We couldn't be happier with the results, and the cost was very reasonable as well. We are scheduling Val to come back out this summer and change out some pipes in the basement. Val is courteous, professional, and informative. Ken's Sewer has a really class act in Val as an employee, and we are fortunate to have him as a plumber!!!

Last night, I had a pipe that was either clogged or frozen - over the phone, they helped diagnose the problem and gave me a bunch of tips to possibly fix the problem. Could have charged me $200+ for a service call in the evening. Instead, gave me good advice - AND called back this morning to see if it worked! That's why I have trusted these guys with every plumbing problem we've had for the last 20+ years (home and rental property) and will continue to give them all my business.

However, when my check accidentally bounced, I was threatened by text message after I requested an explanation of additional fee, and asked for the address so I could send a new check given I don’t pay bills online. Completely uncalled for.

The company was very professional; a dispatcher called to let us know of the approximate arrival of the plumber. The job was done successfully and the plumber was pleasant and thorough in the explanation of what was going to be done.

The work was competently done in a timely manner, but we should have been warned that the plumber sent to do the job was not vaccinated. He also did not wear a mask.

They came out on short notice and fixed a leak in a pipe that was in the wall. They had to cut the wall to get to it. They did a great job and I appreciate it.

Terrible. Will never use again. Scrapped up my toilet and now looks bad. Had technician out to remove toilet brush. Took him literally one minute to remove and they charged me $180. Noticed my toilet was all scrapped and called and they didn’t care. Told me the technician was “out of town” when he had just left my house literally 5 minutes earlier.

My drain backed up and flooded my basement. They were available on a Friday, after 5pm, on short notice! Rubin was the tech that came through, and he was very knowledgeable and gave lots of advice and was very friendly. He explained what he was doing and walked me through everything. Great service, quick and reliable. If I have issues again - which hopefully i don't, I will be using them again! I would highly recommend!

We had trouble finding someone who could come out the same day to clean our drain and Ken's not only answered the phone when we called, they had someone out within an hour who did a great job, cleaned everything up and had us back using our drains within a short period of time. Chris and Angie were awesome. They arrived with all of the parts and equipment they needed. They removed old concrete tubs, cleaned the drains, installed a new modern tub and repiped the water lines into the laundry room. When they were done the laundry room looked amazing - everything was clean, swept and tidied. We would use Ken's again in a heartbeat. They are professional, knowledgeable and efficient.

Ken's was awesome! We had an evening main line backup and called at least 10 different plumbers. Ken's was the only place that had someone available AND for a great price! Every other place either wasn't available or wanted to charge an arm and a leg. Their guy came out and did a quick, efficient job and now we're back to using water with no issues. I thought this was a good company. They came out, a subcontractor, worked 3 plus hours and left with my main drain plugged even worst. He did pull some roots out but still I was charged $300 and was told something wrong with drain pipe and it cost $3000 to dig up my yard. He also said he went 90 feet. it is only 55 feet to the street. Had the city come out they put a camera down no problems any where even looked up my drain 2 feet or so still no problem. Had a different company out (Geno's) and he did pull some roots out but 10 minutes it was cleared and only 55 feet and 10 more minutes this other out fit ran a 6 inch cutter thru ( I have 4 inch drain and his cutter flexes) . There was no serious problem with my drain. The person who worked for Kens put a nice show. This other out fit charged $155 period did not matter if was one hour or many. When I called Kens after wards and asked for some money back, a big no it not going to happen then I said I was going to post a review he replied so what. Have a big bank roll if you call kens sewer or Hiawatha sewer ( went by that name also) !! I feel sick being scammed like this( I'm a senior) I used Geno's Sewer and drain. Geno is a Super nice guy. Kens or Hiawatha Called Geno and asked you mean we were only 10 minutes from clearing it no Geno said you are 20 years away.

Saved our basement at 10:00pm! I honestly found them on the internet! My sump dump died in a rain storm and I could not wait until morning or my basement would have flooded. I called them at 9:45pm. i was shocked they had someone that could help, let alone was there by 10pm. He worked until 11:45pm. The price was very fair, he was polite and cleaned up after the repair. This company is a hidden gem. A true blessing to come out in a rain storm and help us. Thank you very much!

Prompt response to a sewer line issue on Saturday night. Professionally completed and very respectful of our property. Very pleasant technician.

This place also goes by the name Hiawatha PLumbing.
Right off the bat when talking to the scheduler/operator I had a feeling this place was not at all professional. When the tech arrived with tools in a bucket I didn't feel any better. And then the time came for the fix... The tech didn't have a handle puller to pull my shower faucet handle off. I stupidly agreed to pay a visit fee of $80 on the weekend. I regretted it right away because the tech had no shot to fix the problem, not having the tool to get past step one. Don't go with this place. Absolutely no reason to pick them over an Eric Nelson Plumbing or Athena or Burnomatic or Uptown Plumbing. Didn't get the refund I was after either, A week later (Saturday) I called them to ask for some sort of refund. The person on the other end said it was busy that Easter weekend and told me they'd look into it and call me back on Tuesday. It's now the following Monday and I never got a call. Called them and ranted as politely as I could. He offered me 10% off my next plumbing job with them. Ha.

Discovered a backed-up line on a Saturday afternoon. Ken's had someone arrive within an hour of calling. He was done less than an hour after arriving. The service and communication were everything you'd want. Give them a call.

Needing a new water heater I called Ken plumbing. However, my name (without permission) was given to a third party plumber who completed the job instead. Although claiming overwork, Ken’s plumbing demanded a referral fee from the third party plumber but denied this practice when I called them twice and have not responded since. Summary: Find a more honest plumber who won’t have an incentive to increase your bill because of “kickbacks” or breach privacy laws.

We were left in a bad situation after a botched refrigerator delivery. Ken’s Sewer Service saved the day! They were able to replace and reinstall a water line to our new fridge all in the same day. Will absolutely use again!!

I was referred by a friend to use Ken's sewer to unclog a bathroom drain. From the time I called to the time my drain was unclogged was just over an hour. Luckily there was someone on Ken's team in my area. My point is they are VERY responsive and friendly. And the cost was very reasonable!!

Our sewer drain in the basement started backing up last Friday night at 10:30 PM. I called every one of the large companies (national and local) that advertise in the Twin Cities. They all claimed 24 hour service. I explained that we had an emergency and provided detail of what was happening and the best that all could do was to offer to send someone on Saturday morning at an average cost of $189 just to have someone come out. The cost did not include any service. As the backup worsened, I hit the internet again and found Ken's Sewer at about 3:00am. The person that answered the phone said that they could come out right away. He then asked several detailed questions and came to the conclusion that the issue was caused by a backup of the city sewer and that neither Ken's, nor their competitor's, could do anything to help. He recommended that I call the city immediately. Ken's was correct! I called the city and they sent a crew out and the root cause was that the city sewer in the street was clogged. If the other companies would have suggested that to begin with, it would have saved thousands of $ in damage. The person that answered the phone for Ken's (I think that I woke him up) was more interested in helping than billing a service call. I am very impressed and I will absolutely contact Ken's with any future issues rather than the other guys that are all talk and no show.

We have used Ken's for over 30 years for the annual cleaning of our sanitary service line. They are always prompt and courteous. Recently, at my request and at no cost, they reviewed a video of my sister's sewer service and recommended another contractor who replaced her sewer service for her. This is service at its best.

Bonfe gouged me $530 for a snake and scope that just ended up backing up 1 month later. After the scope, the BONFE technician was very abrasive and tried to get me to spend (not kidding) $25,000 on repairs. His tactic was to scare me and get me to sign on the dotted line.

At the end of my hydro-jetting of my sewer line, the technician showed me the video and explained the nature of my old pipes without trying to get me to do anything extreme. In fact, he didn't try to sell me on anything. He did the job right and left. Look no further than Ken's!

I called for service shortly before 6:00 on a Saturday night. Our kitchen sink had standing water in it because I was naughty and put something down the garbage disposal that I shouldn't have. By 7:45 the job was complete and George was on his way. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. And he was very careful to not make a mess. Best sewer service experience we've ever had.

I had a Sump Basket but no pump. Never had water in the house ever until yesterday. I called Ken's Sewer and they were out within a couple of hours to put a sump pump in. They were Johnny on the spot scheduling someone. Too bad they all think the pandemic is over. None of their plumbers would wear a mask into my house. They say they can't breathe. I had a drain back up on me and I submitted a request via their website. Not even 5 minutes went by before I got a call from Dan. Within 30 minutes, a technician showed up and took care of my issue. We had a leaky faucet on a weekend and someone from Ken's was kind enough to spend some time on the phone with my husband trying to talk him through ways of patching it up so we wouldn't have to hire them for emergency service which is expensive. So 5 stars for that. They got us an appointment with one of their plumbers the following Monday morning, but we found out a little bit before the appointment that the plumber would not wear a mask while working on the sink, and we have an immunocompromised person in the house, so we cancelled the appointment. One star for that. So just a head's up that Ken's may not have the safest Covid policies in place, which may not be an issue for some, but it was for us.

Finally an honest company. Had a bigger company out on Friday charged me $500 on a Friday, said they couldn't find anything the line running a 100 feet of cable. Their camera showed a blockage at 60 feet no kidding. Ken's came out today on a Sunday for half that cost and was able to open the line, down side is I have a break in the line in the street, they gave me some references for excavation which is cheaper than the bigger company who was taking me to the cleaners. The tech from Ken's, polite, courteous and helpful. Cleaned up after he was done unlike the other company.

Wow. Ken's was top notch end to end. I had a homeowner project mishap on a Sunday, never good. I called all around to find someone to help me ASAP. I had a drain clog at 9 PM on Thanksgiving eve. I called a different place first - Mark's Plumbing in Plymouth - mistake. Mark scolded me for calling him at 9 on Thanksgiving eve, and said he wasn't open until Friday.

Called Ken's next. I was a little gun-shy after my scolding, but Ken was nothing but helpful and professional. Had someone out early the next morning (on Thanksgiving day) and fixed my problem for $159. Great job!
