The folks selling the home my husband & I recently bought hired Jake the Plumber to do some plumbing repairs we requested be made prior to closing. As first time home buyers who were just about to have their first baby, we wanted to make sure the house was in good standing. I’d called the plumber who came out to conduct repairs because I feared there was some miscommunication over what we requested be done. When I’d ask the plumber if it’d be okay for my husband to give him a call if he needed clarification on any of the info I was relaying the plumber said, “I’m not willing to have more than a short conversation with him.”
I was very off put by that. I wasn’t on the phone with him for more than a minute, it wasn’t like I bombarded him with questions or info...
Nonetheless, the repairs have held up!

When I lived in Saint Paul, I had a leak in my third floor bathroom and didn't know who to call. Luckily, I found Jakes through a Google search and was pleasantly surprised with how easy the whole ordeal became! I was able to get a plumber to my residence within a mere twenty-four hours, which was faster then any of the local competition. The plumber that worked on the job was named Stu. He was very timely, extremely knowledgeable, and carried a pleasant attitude throughout the entire service. He got the job done in just a few hours for a very reasonable price. On the website, I was even able to print off a coupon for a free inspection which Stu also performed. He was very thorough and explained everything in the simplest terms possible so that everyone involved knew exactly what was going on. Great service, great pricing! I can't recommend Jakes enough for plumbing problems; especially, due to the fact that all of their work comes with a lifetime guarantee! I definitely won't be looking around for who to call next time I have a plumbing issue, that's for sure.

I'll start by saying that I have not yet used Jake for our plumping issue, but the five stars are for the 20 minutes he spent with me on the phone. I called him from California to discuss a possible sewer problem on a home we purchased for my son in St Paul. Jake was absolutely wonderful in discussing possible fixes, keeping the cost as low as possible, and just all the time he spent with me on a busy work day. I've been a home and business owner in California for over 45 years and have had a lot of interaction with plumbers, and none have been so pleasant and understanding about throwing money at something that is not yet a problem. I will definitely hire Jake to do the work for us once the property closes.

Our rental property had a busted sewer line (after hours) under the concrete floor and these guys came out the very next day and dealt with it quickly and efficiently. We had tenants in hotels with costs mounting quickly, but Tim was able to get us up and running without the need to have the tenants away a second night. We're out-of-town property owners and we needed someone local and trustworthy, and these are the guys you want in that situation. They even recommended I shop around for a concrete repair company to fix the floor after they'd finished, but after a few calls it was clear Tim's price was even better than the concrete companies. Plus he came back a third time to re-connect appliances without any added cost. This was a big repair, but I feel we got good value for the money in a very difficult situation. Thanks, Tim.

My old water heater broke, so I did what I normally do with this sort of thing and went down to Home Depot to get a new one, planning to watch YouTube videos and figure it out. But after looking at what the job would entail, seeing that there was going to be both solder and gas lines involved, I decided to call in a professional. Jake found time on a Saturday evening to come by to do the job (with his son as his helper, a real family business). They looked over the job free of charge before beginning work, and after a five minute inspection they gave me the price I would pay. It was a little higher than they had said over the phone but there was an obsolete valve that needed replacing -- I Googled 'grease-pack ball valve' and it was totally legit. And the overall price was right.

They handled the job just under three hours and hauled my old unit out of the basement. The installation looks nice and professional. Nice guy, and it's clear that he loves his business -- would definitely trust him again for future work.

Kind, considerate and great communicators! We had a broken pipe due to the extreme weather conditions and were scrambling to find help. Jake’s was able to squeeze us in due to a cancellation and was the best “first responder” we could have asked for. Jake the Plumber was the second quote we got on a job in our century-old condo unit where we are relocating a washer/dryer and revamping a kitchen and utility room. Based on online recommendations and Jake's thorough examination of the job, we asked him to do the work.

On the first day the crew showed up at the designated time and worked through the day. Unfortunately, our old building had a surprise for us. After shutting down the building's water to install shutoffs to our unit, the building's valve failed and obstructed the flow of water to all the other units Jake and crew stayed on the job until after 9pm to repair the issue, and were complemented by the other occupants of the building on how well the situation was handled. Jake went to each affected unit and checked for pressure, and cleared grit out of water lines as needed. (Apparently this fragile old building has had other plumbing issues in the past, so the other owners here were remarkably understanding!)

Despite the extra work (our association covered the expense of the failed building valve - Jake's charges were very reasonable), Jake and crew completed the work on time and within budget. This job is the first of several as we rehab our unit and we will be calling on Jake the Plumber to continue when we begin the next phase.

Had a water pipe break late on a Sunday afternoon. Called Jake and he came and had it fixed in less than an hour. Great service, THANKS JAKE!!

Needed a plumber after hours on the weekend Jake showed up on time and was able to get my issue fixed in no time. Great work! Would call him again!

Sent them email in early April to obtain a quote for some really basic work that needed done—dishwasher hookup, farmhouse sink hookup, gas line connection for new cooktop and running line to connect an ice maker (newly remodeled kitchen). Provided images with demarcation to make it super easy. No response. Called the office after a week to see if they got my email and to verify I sent it to the correct address. They were to get back to me but never did.

I gave up and hired someone else. I get it, contractors are super busy right now and demand is high. But you have to be responsive and communicative. I generally like to support smaller, local business but they’re too busy for me.

Found another plumber who was able to do the work and I’m hiring him for more stuff this summer. He was incredibly busy too but he returns calls and communicates.

Good work(from previous service), but am finding a different vendor because as I was talking to a person in the office, I was asked to schedule my service appointment via their website. Not a big deal; but I was talking to a human at the moment.
Also, I am not a big fan of virtue signaling. 'identifies as black owned'. I don't care. You are a person to me, not a color. Just do the work that you commit to, oh yeah, I need to interact with your website, not a person.

We called Jake the Plumber after a bad experience with a large plumbing company who had quoted us an outrageous amount for a kitchen faucet and disposal installation. Rich and Meyer came and installed the new faucet and disposal quickly and efficiently, all while saying great things about their employer and the company they work for. The work was 1/4 of the cost we were quoted from the other company, and I could not recommend them more! We will absolutely continue using them for any future needs!

New house, new to St. Paul. Had a leaky water spout on exterior of house. I didn't spend much time looking at it assumed it was frozen pipe problem. Jake's plumber came out assessed situation (5 mins) tightened a nut on top of the water fixture and fixed the problem. CHA CHING $204 service call minimum. OUCH!

I called 4 plumbers before I called Jake. They were either busy or had no idea how to solve my problem when I explained the situation and wouldn't even come out to check. I called Jake the plumber and they came out that day. They were super friendly and discovered the water heater was leaking underneath by using a camera, then showed me the video demonstrating the problem. They also found my water pressure was low and discovered the water softner (which was likely original with the old house) was failing causing the water pressure issues. The work was great and they were incredibly friendly. I definitely recommend Jake.

I called early in the week to schedule a plumber to come to my house and fix a leak. The window was 12pm-1pm Friday the 22nd. They sent me an email the day of the appointment to confirm and I did so. I get to my house shortly before noon on the day of the appointment and wait for the plumber to show up. At 1 pm no one has shown up nor has anyone contacted me to tell me they would be late. I called and text shortly after 1 pm to find out if anyone is coming. No one answered the phone and about 20 minutes later I did get a text stating the plumber was running late and would not be there till after 2:30 pm. I am rather disappointed that I wasn't notified earlier that they would be late and could not make the scheduled time.
I realize that things happen and the appointments are made ahead of time based upon scheduled finishes and not everything goes as planned. What bothers me is that no one reached out to me before 1 P. M. to tell me that they would be late. You know at 12:30 that you will not make your 1P.M. appointment, you should have called or reached out to me before hand.

Edit: They followed up with me and took full responsibility for the lack of communication. I was impressed with their professionalism and wanting to fix the issue.

My fridge had been leaking for days.. WEEKS and my cats continued to sneak behind the fridge and lick the dirty water coming out of it. I was trying SO HARD to avoid calling a plumber. I would rather do most anything else than have to call a plumber but the issue continued even after all of my make shift solutions. I finally gave in and google searched plumbers near me. I came across jake the plumber (mind you I originally clicked on his name because of the cute pic it came with) not to mention all of the previous reviews said nothing but good! He came out same day and informed me that ALL ALONG it was the ice maker water line! He fixed it in a matter of an hour at a very very fair price and I was happy to know my little kittens will no longer be drinking the dirty fridge water and that horrid noise that came with the leaking will stop. I am so grateful for jake the plumber and will be telling every single soul I pass about him!!

I used Jake the Plumber to install a new toilet and they did a tremendous job. I worked with Steve, who was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable. I really liked that he worked hard to make sure the job was done right and wasn't all about the money. I felt like he really cared about how well the job was completed, which was awesome. I highly recommend Jake the Plumber and in particular, Steve!

Jake the Plumber is the best. We came back from a 10 day vacation and were shocked to learn our whole house temperature was near frozen due to problems with the thermostat. The water tanks of all toilets were completed frozen and two shower cartridges were cracked due to ice expansion, not to mention the frozen pipes. The next day when the room temperature returned back to normal, the water in one of showers began to leak uncontrollably. Then we called Jake the Plumber on Sunday afternoon and they came in less than one hour. They quickly fixed the problem of the broken pipes in the house and performed a courtesy check to make sure all the other water pipe problems were fixed. Our family greatly appreciates the prompt work they did for us. Jake the Plumber was very nice and professional during the job and we highly recommend them for any future plumbing problems.

Wish we could give more than five stars. Fast, professional, thorough, responsive, and very nice people. We've used Jake and crew for two projects (leaky bathtub drain and replacing sewer stack) and would not hesitate to call again or recommend to friends.

Fixed our broken pipe quickly. We started dinner while he worked and were able to dishes when we finished our meal. He was late because of traffic and even tossed in a discount. Would gladly do business with Jake again!

Jake the Plumber was our first experience with hiring a plumber, and we were very pleased. They were prompt, the cost was reasonable, they took the time to go over the repair in detail, and thoroughly answered any questions that we had. We live on the opposite side of the metro from Jake's, and thus had a travel cost, but it was well worth it. We will definitely use them again the next time we need a plumber.

They have worked on several of our plumbing repairs in our old house (everything is just a little weirder to fix here, it seems) over the last two years and have always had great service.

I would give Jake The Plumber a zero star rating if Google would let me. Water heater stopped working so I called Jake The Plumber (on a Thursday). They came out the next day (Friday)... BUT all they did is take some pictures of the unit and then they left. They said they would email me a quote (on Monday!) for a new water heater with install, and repair parts & labor, so I could compare the two options. They were definitely pushing the new water heater & install option, even before quoting anything. They said they would have the quote to me by Monday, and this was almost two weeks ago now and I still haven't received a quote or call-back.
To be honest, I was assuming they would have the parts in their truck and fix-it on the spot. It's a newer water heater that gives you the error codes so I thought it would be an easy and quick fix. I guess not!
I ended up doing my own research that weekend and found, in the owners manual, what the error code meant and how to fix-it. Long story short, a new Flammable Vapor Sensor was all that was needed. It cost about $30.00 and I did it myself. No knowledge about anything was necessary to replace this part. A child could do it.
The funny thing is they said they would quote me a new gas valve and burner assembly and that should do the trick if I decided to repair instead of replace. I was waiting for their quote before leaving a review, just to see how bad they were going to rip me off since all it needed was a new $30 part and 5 minutes of time, but as I previously mentioned I still haven't received one yet.
They seem to have good reviews which is why I called but now it makes me wonder about the legitimacy of them. I won't use them ever again! Be careful. I would look elsewhere if it is in regards to water heaters since their knowledge about them seems minimal.

I had a fairly urgent leak in a pipe from my boiler to a radiator. Jake himself came to my house the same day I called and repaired the leak quickly and corrected a previously bad installation. He explained everything so I could understand the issue, what was needed to correct it and also gave me many tips on maintenance. He was professional and thorough. I had called several plumbing companies before I decided to hire Jake the Plumber. They were the first company not to treat me like I was a complete idiot. They were honest, compassionate and I didn't feel like they were trying to screw me. Timing for someone to come out was excellent! (same day). Stu Maxwell was sent. He was very friendly and easy going, made me laugh and helped educate me about my problem. He also fixed a leaky faucet for me at no extra charge. Jake The Plumber did an awesome job fixing my copper water pipes around my water heater and new water softener. The technicians were very knowledgeable, punctual, and friendly. Had an issue with sewer backup in my basement. Roto Rooter quoted me $3500 to solve the issue. I called Jake the Plumber and talked to them about the issue. They were very courteous over the phone and asked that I send pictures so they could best prepare for the service call. Over the course of the visit, three guys were at my house and all three were very friendly. When they arrived they expressed concern that the job could be larger than originally anticipated. However, they proposed (and took) a different approach that saved me several hundred dollars and thousands from what Roto Rooter quoted me. I could tell they wanted to do right by me and not overcharge me for unnecessary repairs. They took the time to explain the issue to me, what my options were, and what they did to solve it. These guys checked all the boxes that I look for in a company and I’ll definitely be working with them again in the future. Highly recommend.

I chose Jake the Plumber simply because I saw one of their vans at our neighbor's house a couple weeks before. I believe our plumber's name was Rick. He was incredibly professional and personable. We had a drippy old spigot and the shut off valve to the outside water was also dripping in my basement. He explained to me exactly what he was going to do, discussed potential issues that may come up in the process, and in the end, delivered on his promises in a very timely manner. His work was super clean, my problem was solved, and I was better educated by the time he left. Also, the new spigot is much better than the one I had before. I would hire them again without hesitation!!

Brandon and Stu came out for a same day water heater install. Both were very friendly, helpful, and clean. The work was done quickly and professionally. Price was almost exactly what was quoted even though extra work had to be done to bring the system to code. Would definitely use this company again.

Our household had no hot water and Jake came out on a Saturday to fix the issue! First he asked the right questions and had me text a few photos. Then with a bit more investigation he was able to determine what the issue was - the vapor signal - was emitting. He came over, replaced the part, explained that you can't put paint next to a water heater, which my son did recently while sweeping the utility room. So now we know. Jake was friendly, prompt and helped us understand what needed to be done, I highly recommend him!

Jake worked on our house in Northeast Minneapolis today with his comrade Jimmy and I am greatly impressed with their professionalism. Not only did they fix our major plumbing leak to our shower they did it without having to break through our ceiling saving us from some fairly large reconstruction. Also the work was under budget and in less time than quoted the day prior. I highly recommend Jake and his crew for any job you need him for. Btw he likes his coffee with some sugar and cream. Hook him up. He's a good guy.

Jake is a true professional, giving me options I would have never thought of. I had a troublesome pipe prone to freezing and he identified a few good options and gave me a few pricing options to find a perfect solution. The work was done well and with little inconvenience. Bought a house three years ago. The basement remodel failed to install a floor drain in the laundry room. I did some online research about costs and installation procedures.

I contacted a few plumbers including Jake. All the others either didn’t respond or wanted $100 plus to “come and look at it”.

Jakes got back to me quickly and asked for photos of the install area. They got back to me with a ballpark number which was reasonable. I knew that opening a concrete floor often presented surprises. Jake’s crew of 2 worked several hour in a wet clay base we found under the floor. They did a great job and the drain works perfectly. Jake’s charge was a few hundred dollars over the estimate ( Under $2000 total), but well within the cost info I found on line. If I need plumbing, Jakes is my first call.

Jake was super cool and personable, but also very professional. I called Monday afternoon, and he was able to get me in the first thing Tuesday morning (I live in the Dayton's Bluff neighborhood on the East Side of Saint Paul). I was especially into the whole free consultation thing, since many plumbers charge quite a lot just to come out. I also needed a plumber who would do both drain unclogging and drain/faucet repair, and it seems like there are a lot of companies out there that are either/or with that kind of stuff. He unclogged the drain in question (kitchen), replaced the kitchen faucet on a really difficult-to-access sink, and re-plumbed the main drain and dishwasher connection for a very reasonable price. He explained plumbing in a way that made sense, offered to teach me how to do the work myself so that I could know some plumbing basics, and did not try and up-sell me on anything. He was more competent and provided better service than larger plumbing companies that I've worked with, and it was nice to know I was supporting an individual guy versus a big company. I'm a relatively young female homeowner, and was completely comfortable having him in my house and felt that he was being very honest and fair with me. He is definitely someone I will call again and recommend to others.

Our experience with Jake was great! He worked on both our kitchen and bathroom plumbing systems and went over and beyond by fixing the bath drain (in addition to the leaky faucet) and sprayer in the kitchen sink (in addition to fixing the kitchen piping). He also secured the wobbly sink in our bathroom--great attention to detail. Also, because he missed an appointment with us earlier in the week, he waived the trip charge for the subsequent appointment. That shows a lot of integrity. We are happy customers in East side Saint Paul.

Rick and Tim came to help me relocate a drain in my kitchen and did a wonderful job. They were both friendly and professional and clearly walked me through my options. I really appreciate that during COVID-19 they were both wearing masks without me having to ask (seriously, thank you for caring about your customers!!). Should I have any future plumbing needs, Jake the Plumber will be the first people I call! Booking process was also very slick; all online and very quick response times. We had the pleasure of working with John from Jake the Plumber. He took great care of us and our plumbing - even taking time to explain what was wrong and how he was fixing it. Honesty and integrity

Very good service and arrived when expected. The only complaint I have is the price. All I needed was a sink line snaked. A very easy job for a professional with commercial equipment that took an hour of dragged out labor. I attempted to use a regular snake with an old fashioned bent bar for a crank only to hit a dead end without clearing the clog. If you have the same issue I did, you're much better off heading to a rent-a-center to get a power snake auger, educating yourself on YouTube for an hour or so beforehand, and doing it yourself. I will definitely look around more the next time I absolutely need a plumber.

I called in the late afternoon with an emergency kitchen sink clog. Adam on the phone was very informative and he was able to contact Ngu right away and send him our way within an hour. Ngu arrived, got straight to work and unclogged the kitchen sink quickly, then checked our laundry room drain which requires more equipment and more time but only charged me for the first job. Great service in all departments, quick and affordable. Will definitely use them again.

I had some work done on my sump pump and the entire process was very smooth. The technician, Stu, was very knowledgeable and helpful and gave plenty of options for fixing the issue. The work was done very quickly and efficiently and Stu explained it in detail and added a ton of advice for the future.

Easily the best plumbing/boiler service I have ever experienced. Jake came out the same day I called for a service need for my boiler. I asked if I could look over his shoulder and have him educate me on my system. He gladly explained how the system worked and how and what needed to be fixed, and then followed through with outstanding service. Very professional and affordable. Will be calling again with home repair needs.

Look no further. This guy and his team are amazing! We were dealing with an issue while trying to sell our home and Jake came out that day (after hours) to help us take care of what we needed! He then patiently explained the issue and potential concerns in layman's terms and offered multiple solutions and gave exact pricing! He was comprehensive and we felt assured the issue was put to rest but he didn't do anything that felt unnecessary and there were no surprise costs. We were lucky enough to get Jake himself and he is clearly very knowledgeable and competent so we could rest easy! We had an issue with our pilot light not staying lit on our water heater. I called Jake the Plumber at 9:00 AM and by 10:30 AM Stu arrived and was working on installing a new part - all under warranty. When we bought the water heater a year ago from Jake the Plumber we had an awesome experience (after a horrible experience with HERO Plumbing & Heating). Today was simply an extension of that great experience. Ironically enough, Stu is the same plumber who was here a year ago to install the product and he continues to be fabulous. If you are looking for great service and honest people who just want to do what's right, no games, Jake the Plumber is the way to go.

Just had Jake The Plumber over to fix what we thought would be an easy leak in our sink drain. Plumber Paul came over and was very cordial and transparent about estimated costs, he definitely had his work cutout for him as our issue had to do with a newly installed vessel sink. They came out quickly to help me when my hot water heater wasn't working and were great at explaining what I needed to do to troubleshoot the problem. Great, fast, and friendly service.

We realized our water heater was leaking and Jake came out to replace our water heater the next day. He arrived within the half hour window as promised and was very professional! Jake even took the time to show me how the water heater worked and how to change the temperature settings. Would use Jake again! Highly recommended.

Jake has been my go to guy for all my plumbing needs. Recently the company expanded and though I didn't know it, they offer HVAC services as well.

I talked to Jake on a Sunday when my furnace was down. He had a technician available to fix what turned out to be a stuck open pressure switch valve. The tech was here right when Jake said he'd be. They had the parts available to do the job, and were in and out in about 10 minutes!!! He also checked other components of my furnace to ensure there weren't other issues that contributed to the failure. I'm confident there won't be a need for a return visit.

If something happens in the future, Jake or Jake's staff get it done right the first time. Friendly professionals there and competitive rates!!!

These guys are fantastic! I called on Tuesday about a busted faucet, and they were able to schedule my repair for Thursday of the same week. I got a follow up call later that day from Paul to get more details and photos. On the call I mentioned I had a new toilet I needed installed, and he said they might have time to do it. On Thursday, Tim arrived right on time with a faucet ready to go. Once he got started, he noticed our ancient water valves didn’t have on/off knobs and offered to replace them. Very helpful! I never knew there weren’t knobs, so this could have been a disaster in the event of a leak. And he even had time to replace the toilet! Pricing was fair, invoice was easy to understand, Tim was friendly and quick.

I called Jake the Plumber because of a pipe issue with my toilets. They were quick to get back to me & sent out Stu within a day. Stu was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helped em better understand what could be causing the pipe issue. Within 15 minutes we were able to get the toilet up and running again. The prices also are more competitive than some of the larger companies that overcharge. I recommend Jake the Plumber to anyone who needs plumbing. :)

Jake is an honest, friendly and timely plumber. He addressed some long-deferred leaks in my bathroom plumbing. He did a great job accessing the problem area through my ceiling and showed me how to install an access panel for future needs. I've used Jake for plumbing many times over the years and it has always been a great experience. I highly recommend them.

We live near Lake Como and moved into our home less than 9 months ago. When our kitchen sink wouldn't drain the other night, I was clueless of who to call for plumbing services. After reading numerous reviews, I couldn't help but choose Jake the Plumber; who sounded loyal and down to earth. Jake was just that and more! He sent Ngu, who was friendly and efficient. Ngu cleaned our pipes that very same morning. After realizing that we would also need a new drain, Jake came out (the same day!!) and replaced our drain. The entire time Jake was extremely friendly, down to earth, and told us everything that he was doing repairs on so we could learn through the process. Jake is the person everyone needs in their life - someone they can call with plumbing/AC concerns and trust that they're getting loyal and reasonably priced services. When making an appointment, Adam (Jake's assistant) was straightforward on the phone, telling me what the service would cost, so that I wasn't blind sighted at the end of the process. Thank you, Adam, Ngu, and Jake - You are fabulous people and were a huge blessing to our family in a time of need!! Your company will be the first we call in the future when we need help again!

I would absolutely recommend Jake The Plumber. We needed a shower control replaced in our master bathroom. There was no access panel to the rear, and they had to cut into sheet rock to get the access. Stu was very careful and took the tile on the other side of the wall off without causing any damage. I was able to re-use these tiles when when we closed the wall back up. Just an example of the careful, excellent work Jake the Plumber does. Our job was finished in 3 hours and works perfectly.

These guys are great! They fixed my faucet issue quickly and at a great price too. The manager, Adam, really understands what good customer service is. They are my plumbing people for anything that goes wrong in the future.

Jake fixed my bathroom plumbing so I can actually use my bathroom sink (YAY!) and temporarily rigged my toilet tilI I figure out what I want to do with it-repair or replace, and actually it's rigged darn good, Jake! Reasonable rates, cleaned up when done - MUCH better than those robbers MSPP&H. Thanks again - will have you back soon for the toilet.

I live in Woodbury MN and I had frozen Pips,I had no Water for three days and I called Jake the Plumber and he was great ,He did underground water lines thawing, in this cold winter. he try both ways

Jake was very helpful and pleasant. I called him one day when my parents water heater couldn't work. He told me he will come over after every plumber I called was not available that day. Jake knew the problem and he was able to walk me into fixing it myself over the phone. After only 5 minutes, I was able to fix it with his help. I recommend Jake to anyone. Thanks.

Had my boiler serviced by Kelley from Jake the Plumber today...very happy with his work, and with the overall experience with Jake the Plumber!

Kelley was very friendly and knowledgeable, and didn't seem to mind me being around, watching and learning...educating me a bit, answering questions. Also very friendly with our kids. Got our boiler back up and running after some efficient troubleshooting.

After having called around to a lot of the other plumbing and heating companies, I was very turned off by the few bigger ones charging a hefty service call / travel fee (ranging from $68 to $149)...just to come out to see what's wrong / give you a price!...and then hearing in reviews they quote very hefty, flat-rate, non-transparent fees. I liked, first off, that Jake the Plumber charges hourly -- then you know how the pricing works before getting into it...and, for me, I don't mind being around to make sure they work efficiently, not working up the clock.

To that end, I REALLY liked that they gave me the option to text or email photos of my boiler / the issues needing addressed, and Kelley was able to call me the evening before service to ask me more detailed questions and get an idea of what was up, giving me a ballpark range of how many labor hours the job should cost. They do have a $68 travel fee (halved when you commit to service)...but with that call from Kelley, I at least had an idea of what I was getting into -- enough to feel comfortable committing with the travel fee beforehand.

He was running a little bit behind schedule after having to track down a unique part for my boiler but called before he was actually late to let me know, so I was never wondering (all fine with me).

The only thing I would suggest / appreciate in the future using Jake the Plumber, is that they have a detailed list of parts on their invoices -- was left to Kelley's memory when I asked him how much all the parts were. But, all sounded about right, so I took his word for it.

I live in the Cathedral Hill area of St Paul and was having a hard time getting anybody to respond to my request for assistance with a fallen undermounted sink.I really appreciated that Jake (and Adam, the business manager) were so responsive and easy to work with.Not only did he addess the plumbing concerns, which included a garbage disposal removal, but Jake also provided referrals for repairing my sink. While the whole process was more expensive than I had anticipated, Jake was honest about the costs and I would definitely recommend Jake the Plumber and use his company again.

Best experience I’ve had with a plumber. Professional, thoughtful, courteous. Stew (Stu?) went out of his way to make sure I understood what was happening and when, and took care to ensure that our cats didn’t sneak out and that our home stayed clean.

The price was also excellent. $1500 for a new water heater, installation, and removal of the old water heater. I feel that this is as cheap as this could possibly be (especially considering a local plumbing chain wanted to charge us $4500 for the same job), and to also have the experience be fast and professional makes this a 5-star business.

They did the job right, on time, and right on budget without any upsells or BS. These are real Plumbers. I’ll recommend them to everyone.
