I originally hired this company because I've seen a ton of their vehicles around throughout the last year. The previous contractor I used did a poor job, and these guys illustrated just how much so. Extremely thorough and knowledgeable, I'll be going with them from now on.

I love Standard Heating and Cooling! They are friendly, professional and reasonably priced. Have utilized them for years for our furnace and AC maintenance and we also purchased our new furnace and AC from them. Great!

Installation is as or more important than the brand u buy...the best equipment installed incorrectly is a waste of money and will fail. These guys r the best installers. Actually talked me into a less expensive one stage furnace and did a good job explaining the differences. L00 They do everything i ncluding a follow up visit to check systems and file rebates 4 u. Very nicee and professional and clean...always wore shoe covers wout being asked. Enjoyable exprerience and fair price.

Casey did a wonderful job at our house for a tune up. He arrived early and was very good at explaining everything he was doing. He didn't rush and did a very thorough job.

I’ve worked with Standard Heating and Air for a decade or more and continue to because they provide great quality service. We just had them install a new furnace/AC and they were here when they said they would be and we’re professional, transparent and respectful in all aspects of the work…from the initial service call, through the sales process and to completion of the install.

We had to replace our A/C unit and Standard Heating did an awesome job. They sized the system properly for our house. The install went flawlessly. The system is quiet and efficient. I would definitely buy from them again!

If I could put 0 stars I would. We were out of town and our brand new boiler/water heater stopped working in winter. We called the 24 hour emergency number and the repair person had no idea how to fix the issue and just left. We saw on our Ring doorbell that the repair person was talking behind our backs about how we were being irrational about the situation. How unbelievable.Revised: I would not recommend standard heating for boiler installation or services. Their sales and scheduling were unprofessional and rude. The installation went smoothly, but we have already had 2 issues with them in the first 5 months. When we needed them the most they did not have adequate solutions and were caught being rude and talking behind our backs. One issue was an installation error that cause water to leak down the exaust into our basement, which they promptly resolved. The other issue was when the boiler stopped working in 15 degree weather just 3 months into the winter season after purchase. We called the 24 hour emergency number and the they sent a junior technician who could not diagnose the issue and he refused to call a supervisor or manager when asked. He said there was nothing they could do and left a couple small space heaters which only heated one room of the house up to 50 degrees. The repair person stormed off mid convorsation when I was talking to him, and we saw on our Ring doorbell that the repair person was talking behind our backs about how we were being irrational about the situation. How unbelievable. We later found out when they sent a senior technician the next day that it was a gas issue. They apologized for not being able to diagnose the obvious issue and left us without heat over night, but that did not change the situation they left us in and made us question their knowledge of gas appliances.

I’m always so pleased with the work Standard Heating and Air does. Their service providers are kind, capable and professional.

I'm always happy with the work from Standard Heating and Air! While doing a routine tune up of our AC they noticed the exhaust hose from the water heater was a bit loose and fixed it for us while they were in the utility room. Thanks!!

We wanted to get as much life as possible out of our furnace. Standard had a good quote for a repair and did solid job. Furnace works great now! Plus their scheduling person was really friendly.

Cameron found that the humidistat was not working on my furnace during my yearly tuneup, which explained my high water bill. The City of Minneapolis maybe upset about this discovery, as my water bill will be much smaller going forward! Thanks Cameron!

The a/c on my 96 year old mother went out on the hottest day yet this summer. Standard got me an appointment for a person to come out within 2 hours of my call. Nate was great. He came on time, assessed the problem and fixed it all! As a bonus he was very personable and polite. The charge was fair and what I expected. My mom is safe and cool! I’m on the Smart Plan, and have my furnace & AC unit checked every year. Standard has been servicing these for many years now and always does a great job,and I’ve been lucky enough to have Jared from Standard come out to do the service the past two times. Jared’s always nice, professional, and great at communicating how everything is working!

In December 2020, my furnace wasn't keeping up with the house's heating needs. Called Standard Heating and set up an appointment for later in the week and the technician arrived before the time-frame window (so nice when they're early!) and had the issue diagnosed and fixed in under 45 minutes. Luckily it wasn't too serious a problem. He let us know that we'll need annual maintenance for our flame sensor and told us he'd set up a reminder call from Standard so they come out and do the maintenance before issues come up again. His willingness to help us out with future needs was unexpected and top-notch customer service.

In May 2012 Standard Heating & Air Conditioning replaced my old gas furnace with a new high efficiency gas furnace and heat pump. I wanted to look at the option of putting in a geothermal system and though I decided against it, they were generous in their time to explore the option. Their staff was very professional and helpful. The installation work took less time than I expected. The equipment has worked very well since the installation. They have been helpful when I have had questions about the operation of the heat pump, and even told me a cheap source for furnace filters. While their bid was not the lowest that I received, I am very happy that I chose them for my work. They really take care of their customers, even sending me information on a tax credit that I qualify for on my 2012 taxes. Great company

Technician seemed very knowledgeable, price was good. Service and communication were good. They were good about keeping in contact with me on the status of things and making sure it got done quickly. I’ve used them for other installations and found their prices to be the best.

Tempted to knock down a star because a 20 minute job is likely gonna cost you $400+
However that’s the name of the game these days. They do a good job, the HVAC guy was friendly and at the end of the day the job got done

I have used Standard Heating & Air Conditioning for years, and have always been satisfied with the service. The technicians have always been cordial and efficient. At my most recent A/C service appointment, the technician, Chad, found a few issues and clearly and honestly explained the options. His manner was also very appropriate with my new and somewhat nervous rescue dog.

Standard Heating & Air probably just saved my life!!I have disabilities and the heat is very bad for my condition. It was going to be a long series of 90 plus days with high humidity and my air had been broken a while. They came out right away and did what another company said was impossible. I LOVE Sandard Heating & Air and so does my dog!!! 5 stars & Hearts!!!New post for them coming out to install air cleaners and filter onto my furnace to remove toxic chemicals that come into my home. I needed a company with integrity to do this work and knew from previous use that they would be safe during covid. Once again they were prompt, professional, safe, friendly and fast! They never try to upset as I hear other companies do. They again proved to be an awesome local resource!!

I needed to find someone quickly who could check my furnace as soon as possible, and Standard was able to send somebody out the next day. Deacon and Jack went through the whole unit and confirmed there was no carbon monoxide leak, cleaned things up and told me about the items in the 24-year old unit that are living on borrowed time. So now I can sleep at night, and wake up again in the morning, knowing it was just the flu. It was a great experience and I certainly am giving a recommendation. Thanks!

My furnace went out a day before 16 inches of snow. I called Standard Heating and they were able to come out within hours, not days. Our repairman Chad was the absolute best!! He was kind, courteous and fun to work with in our worse time. Unfortunately we had to replace our furnace. Brian came out the next day, did measurements and recommended the best unit for our house. He even made friends with our cat!! The furnace was replaced by Pao and Matt a day later (due to the snow storm) and Pao checked everything out with us before he left. My experience was superior with Standard Heating and AC!! I highly recommend them and will be signing up with their monthly service for both my furnace and AC units. It’s hard to find a company that still believes in customer service. Thank you all so very much!!!

Standard Heating & AC were very professional, easy to get ahold of and schedule an appointment for duct cleaning. Day of, the technician (Ryan) was on time, professional, and explained the details of the duct cleaning service, estimated costs, and timeline thoroughly before starting. He was spot on with the estimates and demonstrated the cleaning results with before & after photos from the ducts. He was very thorough and even checked out the strange code that showed up on our thermostat (and showed me how to connect it to the wifi to clear the code). Bonus, he worked around my curious cat and kept doors as closed as possible to prevent the cat escaping.

We have always been impressed by the professionalism and thoroughness of the Standard Heating and Air technicians. Recently, Brian came to clean our air conditioning unit. He did a great job and was very friendly. He offered some suggestions of things we could do to improve the functionality of the unit. He answered our questions but didn’t pressure us. I highly recommend Standard.

Standard came to our house to do an AC service. The technician was nice, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He checked down in the basement and then outside to check the AC unit. Thankfully everything was working fine at the moment but gave us some good advice on what to do with our aging furnace and AC unit. All in all great service. We will use them again.

The technician was on time and was very professional. He cleaned both my furnace and a/c unit. He also gave me information on their maintenance program, which allows me to save money on parts and service.

I had them look at my furnace, which did end up needing to be replaced (it was past its end of life). I appreciated how thorough they were with their inspection and how quickly they were able to prepare a quote for a replacement. I haven't had the new one installed yet, but the sales representative was very cooperative in answering my questions and didn't push me toward features I didn't need.

I had a great experience with Standard Heating & AC! I was proactively replacing my air conditioner. I got four quotes from various companies and Standard was the lowest after low-season install discounts. The salesperson Brian wasn't pushy and the installers Tovah and Michael were great and very professional (special shout-out for them wearing PPE- so many times tradespeople don't take care of their ears!). Will definitely be using Standard in the future.

I called Standard Heating early Monday morning after our ancient gravity furnace went out the day prior. A technician arrived within two hours and had the furnace running again in 30 minutes. The excellent service I receive from Standard Heating & Air began when my furnace needed to be replaced. The work was done on Christmas Eve.I use their maintenance plan & Standard is very diligent with follow up to be sure the maintenance is scheduled.Every service technician is very helpful & courteous. First thing is shoe covers to not track anything in the house. If they change a filter they will take care of it.The technicians are polite, listen; if I have questions, responsive & prompt.Shout out to Jack today; called he was coming, arrived early, polite, efficient & answered my question.You will not be disappointed if you use Standard Heating & Air Conditioning.

We've been using Standard's Smart Club for A/C & Furnace tune-up for the last 7 or 8 years and have felt they've always been honest with us and never tried to upsell us on anything we didn't need. I was not surprised, but today at our furnace tuneup the technician reported that the furnace was not firing at all and I felt like he gave me a fair understanding of the pros and cons of fixing what we have vs buying a new furnace. He even called to set up one of Standard's sales people to come out to give us a bid, and said to make sure to get bids from a few other companies, as well. Very honest and good work from this company. Thank you!

The installation crew arrived right on time, we’re courteous, made sure they protected our home and gave us a great overview of the new furnace, ac condenser, and the new thermostat. We were very happy with our complete HVAC purchase and install from Standard. Our sales person provided the information that we needed to select the proper capacity heating & cooling units, and also promptly answered numerous questions we had in follow-up. The installers were exceptional - especially the lead person who provided us with some info on the physical size of the A/C unit which ultimately led to our changing to a different unit. (Note that newer, more efficient, units are significantly larger than old ones, but this information is not clear on any web pages.) The install went very well and I was pleased they asked for input on positioning of the outdoor unit to avoid landscape interference. They also installed a new humidifier and thermostat and provided instructions for use & maintenance on everything before leaving. A final point - only Standard caught the fact that we needed a pump to move condensate to our floor drain, as our older hose on floor approach no longer meets code in Minneapolis. We got 3 different bids and the other 2 companies missed this - yet admitted it was required (at a cost!) when we asked later. Standard also carries Bryant equipment, which we had in the past and we wanted again. Bryant requires special training for those doing installs, so not every company carries them. Standard does and that was the final reason we selected them. Our new system is up and running, and our sales person even helped us with a few questions on the new thermostat - 5 stars all around!

My older AC developed a leak and I decided to replace it. Quick scheduling, price clear and no unexpected charges. It squeaked and they quickly returned to fix it.

Another great experience. Arrived within the time window. Diagnosed the problem quickly and delivered cool air within in the hour. Very competent. So much so that I've decided to join their Smart Club. With my home surpassing 20 years old, hopefully the program with help identify any surprises in the future.

On Nov 18, 2021 the technician John arrived on time and did an excellent job addressing the cleaning process and showing and taking pictures throughout the process. I would recommend him and Standard Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone.

Even though the repair was not HVAC related, the technician checked and verified the appliance and made recommendations which helped achieve the system back in working order

We're planning to finish our basement and needed to overall our HVAC situation, including asbestos abatement, installing a new furnace and replacing a tangle of ad hoc ductwork. Standard did an excellent job from start to finish, helping us make informed choices about our options, following up promptly and ultimately doing an excellent job on the schedule they committed to. I never felt like I was being upsold or convinced to buy any services I didn't need or want, all of the salespeople and technicians were very friendly and professional, and the pricing was competitive. 5/5, highly recommend!

We have been long time clients of Standard Heating & Air Conditioning. We recently needed our vents cleaned in our new home as the previous owners smoked and had large hairy dogs. The techs, Jon and Ryan, were both very kind and knowledgeable. They did a great job sharing the process and also the before and after results. It was a much needed and well executed process.

The window for my first visit was 8am - 11am and I got a call exactly at 8 am from Elliot to say that he was 15-20 minutes away. I live in a condo building and before he came to my door he had already been to the property manager's office to get the key to the roof where my AC unit is.Elliot was very friendly and helpful. He offered me 2 options and answered my questions about the options. He then had someone from the company call me to schedule my follow up appointment.My window for my second appointment was 11am - 2pm. I got a call at 10:29 am saying that they were half an hour away. Elliot stopped in at exactly 11 am to say that he was heading up to the roof.I have never worked with a company that with time windows that actually stick to them so well and communicate timing as well as Standard Heating & Air Conditioning did. It may just be Elliot, but I would highly recommend using them for reliable service.

We have been Standard customers for 20 years. They maintained our aging furnace and central air for many years. When it was time to replace, they offered a competitive bid and did an awesome job on the install. We've always had a great experience with their service techs. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Standard!

Our air conditioner stopped working at the same time I was calling to get my semi annual unit check. So glad we’re on the smart plan! Nathan came out 2 days later, replaced the capacitor, hosed the outside unit, and couldn’t have more pleasant and efficient! Result? We’re enjoying cool air this evening and glad that we’ve used Standard service for 29 years!

We contacted Standard after our furnace began dying. We were coming up on a remodel of our basement, and we figured it made a lot of sense to do the two at the same time, hopefully being able to capitalize on the more open work area.I will say that the sales and coordination process needed a lot of work. We had a plan in place, and there was some back and forth on our end, which we own. But once things were set, we put our salesman in touch with our contractor, and things stalled from there. There was some initial coordination, but then our contractor was unable to get a response from the salesman. My wife texted, she got a response initially saying that the salesman would follow up with the contractor, which never happened. Her next text was then ignored. Finally, I sent a more sternly worded text, and that got things in motion. Installation was set for 2 days later.Unfortunately the complications didn't end there. When the installers showed up, they had been given next to no information about the project, they were simply told that the unit would need to be rotated, they were told what new items needed to be installed, and they were provided with pictures of the installation area from before construction began. The salesman had been out to the house at the time of the initial contact with the contractor when walls had already been taken down and new walls put up, and he either didn't take updated photos, or he didn't share them with the installation team. They did not have the necessary fittings for the job, and some scrambling was needed to get a hold of them.My complaints end there. Once things were in the hands of the installation team, things went great. Team members coordinated handing off of parts to make sure the team had what they needed to get the job done, extra installers in the area came by to assist with the job that was much bigger than advertised by the salesman, and the team stayed longer than they had initially projected to make sure things were done that day as promised. Even once all that extra time and work had been put in, they still took the time to give me a very thorough walkthrough of the new system and new thermostat. It was clear that the team was frustrated with the lack of communication from the salesman, but at no point did I feel any frustration directed at me. They were extremely professional, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.I personally had more of a 3-star experience when you factor in the frustration of the coordination and the lack of communication from the sales team. But, I'm giving a 5-star review, because a lot of what made it 3 stars for me was very specific to my situation and wouldn't be relevant to the average person trying to decide if Standard is a trustworthy and reliable company. I will just note that if you ARE looking into standard for anything more complex than a simple installation or repair, it is likely to be worth the effort on your end to make sure you are getting regular updates and make sure things are continuing to progress. Operating on the assumption of they have a great reputation, I'm sure they're on top of this didn't work out so well for me.

Tech was knowable and quickly diagnosed the air conditioner problem—it was low on coolant with a leak and not cooling. He recharged and added coolant and a leak sealant. He was professional, completed work quickly, explained options in easy to understand way. I am very satisfied.

I can't tell you how thankful we are for Standard Heating and, in particular, Nathan who has ended up being our tech almost every time over the past 10 years or so. Our furnace is really old, now 21 years. We've had a few times where it stopped working (once on Thanksgiving and today, just a few days before Christmas). We have been so thankful for their prompt response. I had Standard install a new high efficiency furnace and air conditioning system in my home in June. I attempted to get 3 quotes before choosing a contractor--one was a no-show; Pronto had lots of flair and a low quote, but completely over estimated the system requirements and were indignant when questioned about it. The Standard estimator was thoughtful and clearly understood and explained their products and the variables that impact system selection. While not the lowest bid, Standard went to such great detail in their estimate, including clearly calling out and quoting for issues that could not be verified until tearing out the old system, that I decided to go with them based on trust. I have used them before for basic maintenance and they have always been straightforward and easy to work with.The installation was clean and very professionally done. Considering it is a furnace, it looks great. Installation was scheduled within a week and they were in and out in less than 6 hours.I've now used both the cooling and heating and it works perfectly. The house is always comfortable--something that was a constant challenge with our 30-year-old but working system--even though they installed the same size (yet significantly more efficient) system. I will continue to use Standard and have recommended them to others.

We knew our a/c and furnace were at the end of their lifespans when they quit working during the 90+ heat wave last month. A short term repair allowed us time to get multiple estimates to replace both units. Partially based on reviews by friends and family who have used them and gave high praise for their customer service and responsiveness, we went with Standard. Their estimate was not the lowest but we felt their customer service and warranties were worth the extra cost.The technicians that came out for the estimate were punctual, considerate, friendly, and very thorough. They checked the venting and measured each room in the house to make sure the new units were sized correctly. There was no guessing or estimate involved. They went over each option explaining the differences and gave us time to consider the estimates. No one was pushy but they were readily available and answered all our emailed questions quickly.We were able to get on the calendar within 2 weeks and the install was easy and fast. They kept us informed of their progress along the way and took all old parts and debris with them.Every Standard employee we’ve had contact with from the first phone call to the post-install walk through has been great. Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable taking the time to explain everything. A new furnace and a/c is such a big investment in both money and comfort and I’m glad we went with Standard.

This was a routine maintenance visit and not a repair but we had noticed some water on the floor near the furnace that we could not explain so I asked about it. The technician, Ty, who arrived on time after calling ahead, diagnosed and solved the problem within a couple of minutes. He explained how it had come about and made specific recommendations for the future. Ty then addressed all of the standard maintenance issues and went out of his way to educate us about essential aspects of our system, making the the encounter valuable, interesting and frankly enjoyable. We would be happy to have Ty become our regular technician.

We had been told by another company that our central air conditioning was in its end stage of life and we decided to get several estimates to have it replaced. Standard was not the cheapest or the most expensive, what sold us on them was they took the time to walk us through what was happening with our old system and the pros and cons of replacing it now vs waiting. They listened to and answered our questions in language we could understand.The day of the installation the crew was on time, introduced themselves and got right to work. They communicated throughout the day. At the end, they walked us through the new thermostat and answered all of our questions.We will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

When the pilot light wouldn’t stay lit on the furnace, we figured the regulator had broken, so we called our service provider. After being advised by that service that the furnace and boiler needed to be restored for $6,000 or replaced for $15,000, we called Standard for a second opinion, and Standard’s staff fixed the problem by replacing the regulator for only $200! It helps to have experienced technicians like those from Standard, especially when working on a 20-year old furnace. We’ll always call Standard Heating and Air conditioning first from now on.

I can’t say enough about Standard and their technicians and sales people. I have a boiler and 3 heating zones in my home. The zone for the main living area was not working. Another heating company came out and said I would need to replace the valve component for that zone. It entailed draining the boiler, soldering in a new valve, refilling the boiler….at a cost of $1800. Called Standard to come for a second opinion. Chris came and discovered within 10 minutes the relay on my thermostat was shot. Service call and the cost of a new thermostat and I have heat…..

We’ve been clients of Standard for years and we’ve always had an excellent experience. Today was another example of professional expert service.

My central air went out during our first hot spell in June. Standard was able to get me in very quickly for repairs. Seth was very professional and had my older unit up and running in about 45 minutes.

From the person on the phone who made my appointment to the service person who came out to do the work, everyone is incredibly nice, knowledgeable and customer service is obviously very highly valued and employee chosen for their ability to connect with the customer, listen and understand what the customer needs.

Great service from Greg! He was very prompt and polite and answered all of my questions that I had. He talked me through the issues that we had with some wiring. He fixed that and made sure I was happy with everything. We will be using Standard Heating for all of our heating and cooling needs.

We have been a member of their SmarthClub for a couple years now. We went with them for our Heating and A/C and had a great experience from start to finish. We’ve always had a great experience with their service techs and we had recommended Standard to our family members.

Standard came out to service our furnace after a difference company had already done so. I was skeptical about what the other company was telling me, and I could not feel better about getting Standard to come out for a second opinion. Casey was excellent to work with and helped answer all of my questions. I will be working with Standard for all future maintenance.

My experience with Standard has been frustrating, time consuming, and costly. I called them to receive service on my ductless HVAC system in early April. After three visits, $1600, and a month of waiting my system is in disrepair and their service representatives will not return my call. Please save yourself the trouble and find a company that will at least communicate the terrible job they are doing for you. Thankfully I have a large network of friends and a solid social media following, so I will do my best to spread the word about Standard so others don't have to experience working with this company.Response to the Vendor's Post: On the first visit the service tech told me that the circuit board was fried and that replacing it would fix our unit. It was on the second visit, after the part that didn't work had already been ordered, that he mentioned he may not be able to fix the unit. Why didn't he tell me there was a chance he wouldn't be able to fix the unit before he ordered the part? I would not have ordered the part if had communicated that. For future customers in similar situations, you should communicate that you may not be able to fix the unit before ordering a $1600 non-refundable part.

I would give 6 stars if Google let me!!! I called many different companies to service my furnace and I went with Standard for a couple of reasons. First: Customer service when I called was excellent. Second: The technician was very friendly and gave me several options as for what I needed to do with my furnace and explained them all. 3rd: They are a respected brand and have great Google reviews which are always well deserved because we all know customers will complain on a company before they give compliments. I felt compelled to give Standard an excellent review because it's well deserved.

Very professional, very friendly. I have used Standard twice, once at my previous home to repair the furnace and once at my current home to repair the a/c unit. Both times I expected the worst and both times the repair cost much less than I expected. There was no upsells or trying to charge extra for anything.

I was very impressed with standard heating. When Seth came out for the initial quote he probably spent at least 30 min in my house, listened to what I was looking for, explained everything, and gave me my quote. He gave me his personal cell phone number and was very responsive with texting throughout the process. To compare, I had a competitor come out for a second bid, not only was their price a little higher (few hundred dollars) the initial person who came out probably spent less than 5 min in my house. He was very professional, but the level of service I felt from standard heating far exceeded the competitor and I felt very comfortable moving forward.The technician was on-time (actually early) completed the work in just under 3 hours, was very friendly and explained everything to me. They left my house in good condition after the install.Overall I was very impressed and would recommend without reservation.

Several years ago, when our thermostat died, they came to inspect it for repair, and instead installed a state-of-the-art WiFi-connected unit. We had service on our heating and AC system. After a detailed home inspection we discovered that another company had installed an undersized AC unit. We decided to upgrade both our heat and AC. During the removal of the furnace it was discovered that the heater coil was installed incorrectly and blocked 90% of our main trunk line. Standard heating and air did it right and we are looking forward to years of comfort!

I was not excited about replacing my heating (furnace) and air conditioning system. Amanda (sales) came to my home, looked at the system I had, listened to what I wanted, and made good suggestions. She laid out all of the promotional and financing options, was very professional and I made my decision right there. The installation was scheduled promptly for a few days later.Rob showed up on time first thing in the morning, with a few other helpers cycling in and out over the course of the day, and completed the job by 3 pm. My basement was cleaner at 3 pm than it was before Rob arrived. There was nothing out of place or left behind. He explained the system to me thoroughly before he left.The system is working great. I've had to fire up the heat and the a.c. with erratic weather we've been having this spring. What an improvement! The system is quiet and responsive ... and I am embarrassed to say, I am kind of excited about it.

Very nice and helpful technicians. The CO level was high before tuning up, but they were able to lower it by 80%. I did not think tune up as necessary maintenance before, but now realize it’s a safety thing that should be done yearly. And will definitely choose Standard heating again.

Standard wasn't able to come out to my house for 3 days when my furnace went out. This was an issue that required more timeliness. 2/2 of their competitors offered faster service.

Thomas, Rob, Mike and Jude did an exceptional installation of my new AC system. They were very professional, courteous and timely. They explained things well and were very orderly. My new system looks like a work of art. I am a very happy customer.

I scheduled a routine check of my air conditioner about 3 weeks ago and was given today's appointment with a 3-6pm window. Chad called about 15 minutes before arrival and he and Matt (a trainee) appeared just a little past 3pm. They were very professional as are all of the Standard Heating servicemen. Also pleasant and very efficient. They checked my AC system both inside and out and indicated that they could replace a part which would assist the efficiency of my AC. This review is in regards to the Vent Cleaning performed by Ryan and Seth on 08/17/2021. Ryan contacted us a week before to review the vent areas to confirm they were free from asbestos. This was to protect their crew and allow us to fix if needed before their scheduled visit. Ryan showed up on time for the review, was very professional and explained what they were going to do and what we needed to do to prepare for their cleaning. This really helped as we saved $5 a vent by removing each of them ourselves. We also moved furniture so they had 2 - 3 feet of room to do their cleaning. Ryan offered to help move furniture if we needed it. There was no asbestos found so we were good. Ryan and Seth arrived for the cleaning on time and performed the service as described. Once completed they showed us the before and after photos and we were pleased with the quality of their service. They went above and beyond with the dryer vent by replacing it for us and we are very thankful for their generosity and professionalism. Our trust in Standard Heating and Air was well placed and we will use them again and recommend them wholeheartedly for vent cleaning.

On January 1st, noticing the humidity level in our home was rather low considering we have a newborn; my wife and I decided that we should get a whole home humidifier installed rather than continuing to use multiple room humidifiers. We reached out to Standard because we have their Smart Club plan and wanted to keep all our work in one place. We received an email back on January 3rd with a $795 price for the full package, claimed availability on the 20th of January for install, and requested photos of our area to help during install. We took photos that night and provided them to Standard.The installation was approved by their technician on Tuesday January 4th for Wednesday Jan 20th, but they then updated the price by nearly 75% to $1,300, with a $100 discount to $1,200 for being a Smart Club member.When asking why the jump by such a drastic amount, they claimed that there needs to be a price increase in December to remain competitive. Therefore, I sought additional bids for this work and three other providers came for the same system and service for $800-900 range, all of whom have had exceptional reviews and one able to get the work done within the next couple of days. I provided Standard an opportunity to match the competing provider that I will be using for the work now, which they declined.Because of this completely dishonest and scummy bait and switch tactic, I am also considering switching my care plan to a more honest provider, such as the one that I am having it installed in the next 5 days for $850.

We've worked with Standard for years now and they are always helpful, professional, and responsive. The furnace they installed almost 20 years ago was finally wearing out so we had them replace it with a new one. Sales person was friendly and helpful and their price was right in line with others we checked. Installers showed up on time and were done in less than 1/2 a day. The installer, gas fitter, and elctrician were all super friendly and let me know what they were doing at each stage. Can't recommend these folks highly enough. From their office folks to their service techs, we've never had a problem.

Too often we’re quick to offer criticism when something goes wrong. Less often do we take the time to recognize good work. Our Standard Heating & Air Conditioning install this past week was perfect. Chee was amazing… not only from a technical standpoint… but also by character. After completing his part of the HVAC install, he patiently walked my wife and I though our home while testing and making sure all things associated with his discipline were working properly. At one point he caught the scent of gas (Unrelated to the HVAC install) stopped and took the time to test a dryer gas line for leaks. There was one. Chee tighten the line (scent/leak stopped) and said if we were in any way concerned about a gas leak, to call Standard immediately and someone would be out. He then proceeded to walk us though the HVAC operation, care and maintenance. Similarly, Mesha called ahead of his arrival just to give us a ‘heads up’ that he was en route. After walking us through the what to expect in the install process he went to work disassembling the old system and installing the new. He worked tirelessly, at times solo; up beat (great since of humor) throughout the day. He’s a true professional and a credit to your team. Impressive that he has 24 years experience. (You’re doing something right) I’m guessing there’s nothing he hasn’t seen or repaired. Thank you for sending him. Finally, Taylor came in and just as a gymnast makes their effort look easy, made the electrical… a key part of the install… look effortless. We particularly appreciated him explaining how humidistat placement was critical to functionality and an accurate reading.Finally, thank you for sending Amanda to represent your company. She was great. Pragmatic, no pushy sales tone… no up sell; just straight forward, knowledgeable, confident and professional. I had the pleasure of working with Standard in May of 2018. I originally heard an ad on the radio and got several quotes from local contractors to replace both my AC and furnace. The entire process, from the estimate to the additional requested work after the fact, was absolutely stunning.The estimate was the most detailed out of the all five estimates I received. Rich walked me through each room, counted windows, vents, and took measurements. He talked me through every option, was transparent (you don't need this, Marshall), and came in right in the middle for pricing.The installation was much quicker than expected. Under promise, over deliver is their mantra. Originally scheduled to take all day, they were out in about five hours. When I requested additional work while they were here, they looked at it, gave me a new estimate and came out within the next week to finish. He even capped off an old exhaust vent for free!Overall, highly recommend Standard. Everyone I spoke to from customer service to the installer was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and followed up.

Called up Standard Heating & Air Conditioning for a routine maintenance on our Bryant HVAC system. Was super easy to get an appointment and our Tech Grant was out a few days later. He was very friendly and explained the service to us and presented us with some great options. Never had used this company before, but will definitely be using them annually going forward.

Wow super service. I had a problem with my air conditioning which was making a horrible loud grinding sound. The air was cooling but very little. I decided to shut it off till it was inspected. Chad removed the cover, looked at it and told me a rusted screw fell off which was supporting the motor without the screw the motor/blades were scraping the inner walls. He used 2 plastic zip ties to fix it and had it back running quietly in about 10 minutes.

Somehow they manage to impress and reassure us on each visit. They always tell us what they’re going to do in a way I understand, and they never BS (eg their monthly plan actually makes some sense). Perhaps the best service company we’ve ever worked with.Update (Oct 2022): We recently had SHAC replace our AC unit, tune up our furnace, and diagnose an odd thermostat problem. They continue to do excellent work with great service.

My first time for Standard servicing my furnace. I got a recommendation from my neighbor. I signed for a maintenance plan. I think the young man’s name was Jordan, but not 100% sure. He was in a clean uniform and used booties while in my house. As far as I can tell, he did an excellent job. Seemed to spend an ample amount of time making sure all items were checked and completed. I was impressed. He was very professional and knowledgeable.

Haven't actually had any service done by them yet but I just called to try and schedule an appointment because my furnace was acting funny. Instead of just scheduling and charging me, the rep I spoke to on the phone recommended a few simple trouble shooting steps to try before paying out of pocket for a tech to come to my house. In my opinion this speaks volumes to their integrity and customer service and I will absolutely be calling them back if I can't sort this out myself in addition to scheduling some regular maintenance with them. These guys did a great job installing a new furnace and AC six years ago. Last week we had what we thought was a minor furnace problem, called them out, and it turns out the heat exchanger was failing. They decided to replace the whole furnace on warranty. That's great, but it was the other aspects of customer service that really made them shine. They set us up with space heaters to keep us comfortable while we waited for the new install. Even though they couldn't do an install over the weekend, they got to us first thing Monday morning. And every time we talked to anyone at Standard, they were always friendly, attentive, and supportive. So glad to work with this company, and will continue to do so!

My experience with this company have been positive. Professional and knowledgeable technicians at each visit. I like that I can pay once for my furnace to be cleaned and it includes an air conditioner tune-up in the summer. I have now been through two cycles of the both A-C and furnace tune ups. On the first visit for the A-C tune-up I was told the coolant level was low and they got it back to normal. On the second visit I fully expected them to say it was low and I needed to replace the unit. This didn't happen as they said the A-C looked good and held the coolant level. I am glad this is a professional company and not out to nickle and dime you.

We’ve been using Standard Heating and Air for annual furnace and AC inspections, repair work, and for replacing our furnace. Their employees are invariably knowledgeable and helpful. We’re very happy with their services.

My experiences with Standard Heating have always been positive over the past 4 years that they have serviced my HVAC system. The phone staff and technicians are always both friendly and professional. I’m a member of their Smart Club which includes AC maintenance in the spring and heating maintenance in the fall, and a discount on service work. Fortunately, I only had to call for service once which was easily resolved. They also did a survey of the water heater exhaust system when I had the house reroofed. The inspector was super thorough and answered all of my questions. I would strongly recommend Standard Heating to others to keep their HVAC system running smoothly.

I gave them three stars because they did what I expected them to do. This is about the duct cleaning part of their business, not something you hear a lot about in regards to this company. For a simple job, it was expensive, even with discounts. It was supposed to take about 5 or 6 hours, it was a lot less. It is not difficult to get the ducts to look good especially on a simple job like mine. You can go with a cheaper company and get a just as good of a job especially if your duct system is simple. Though, the other cheaper companies probably do not treat their employees as well as this company and may not stand behind their work. For old houses, most companies will not touch your house with exposed asbestos on or in the ducts including tape or insulation until you take care of that issue. What makes this company stand out, they care about their employees and the employees are well trained well beyond duct cleaning.

A thorough examination of my furnace, and then a good discussion on parts that are starting to get worn, and they even declined installing a new filter, as the one that was in place had more months left on it--though the offer was made that they could go to the truck and get the expensive filter (it's an expensive filter that's nearly impossible for the layman to install). Every time I work with Standard Heating & Air, I feel as though they're working hard to make sure everything works properly, but to also get as much life out of these machines as possible, without undue repairs.Highly recommended.

Our technician's name was Jake. He was very responsive and detailed in his service. He made sure our heater was safe and ready for the winter season. The put in my boiler in November and replaced some thermostats. When it got warm my AC wouldn’t turn on. They came right out and fixed the issue. Very helpful. Did a good job.

I use the Standard Heating Smart Club subscription for twice-a-year tuneups of my furnace and AC since 2011 when they installed the system. It’s a great way to stay on top of maintenance to keep the system in good condition and save money at the same time. All my dealings with the technicians and office staff has been positive. Everything about standard has impressed me from the start. Chad was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer every question I had. He even went above and beyond to teach me the why behind all of the answers. They give you the facts, let you see the meter readings in real time, and give you the options without any pressure to choose one over the other. Deacon and Dylan did an excellent job on an A/C tune up, and Deacon also did our furnace tune up. We recently moved into a new home and they checked out the system, made sure it was safe and functional, and pointed out potential future issues. We will look into a new system as the current one is reaching it's life span, but we are reassured that the system is in working condition. We have used Standard for years and are always happy with their service.

Standard Heating sent a technician out within hours to deal with our AC that completely stopped working. The tech was able to quickly diagnose the issue and repair the unit as well as take care of our biannual tuneup in the same visit. The tech was very polite and did a great job explaining the issue and proposed fix.

Of course, no one's furnace stops working on a Monday. I called Standard on a Sunday and they had someone there in 15 minutes. He was professional and polite. He made sure to wear shoe covers to keep the place clean. Luckily, it was an easy fix. We were up and running in 10 minutes.

I've always received great service from Standard Heating for the decade I've been doing business with them. On my recent tune-up service the technician, Gavin, was on-time, professional, and completed the work quickly and efficiently.

Unfortunate that we were told we had to replace the air conditioning unit after 7 years of comparable use at our condo. The prices are outrageous but the service is good. These days you work with contractors and few actual company employees. I did ask that an e-mail be sent to a company employee but I didn't get a response. I'm sure it's a tough business personnel wise and enormously profitable.

Am very pleased with the new furnace Standard installed for me in Dec 2022. Very high quality work was done by all the HVAC, gas and electric technicians involved. They showed a high attention to detail and used the best quality materials and parts. They found several code errors for my gas and electric lines and corrected them properly. They gave me plenty of time for questions and thoroughly explained my new systems and thermostat when all the work was done. There was no pressure from the sales rep that consulted with me. I felt comfortable choosing the lower priced option that worked better for me than the higher priced furnace option. Standard's response to my call for help with fast when I had no heat during below zero temperatures. I had help within two days of calling and a new furnace running perfectly in less than a week. I've hired Standard for all my home heating and cooling needs for over 20 years and won't call anyone else in the future.

Ty was great! He helped me to discover why the basement was so cold and the top floor too hot... he can come back anytime to check my AC system.

This pace is a scam. I don’t mind the $99 service charge to come take a look and diagnose the issue. The issue is they came and couldn’t diagnose the issue. They gave no helpful information, spent 15 minutes at our house and said to call them if we ever rip open our ceiling. Ridiculous. Waste of time and money. Do not call them, they will not help you.

My central A/C stopped working last night at the start of a hot July 4th weekend. I called Standard this morning and spoke with Dante. He was very personable and asked some good questions and I was lucky they were able to have Chad come look at my situation the same day. Even though my A/C is likely on its last legs (more than 20 years old) Chad was able to replace some parts, show me some things that were cutting down on the efficiency of the unit and got the old thing running again. Phew! Chad was very professional but also very friendly and willing to talk me through the multiple things that were causing my A/C problems. It turns out years of leaves stuck inside the outdoor unit are not helpful... He answered all of my questions with patience and good humor. I thought the service visit was going to cost a fortune but it was very reasonable. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Chad, Dante and Standard today.

We bought a home a few years ago that has the original (22 years young) HVAC system and something went wrong with it (a relatively easy fix) ~ anyway, I've been on the SMART club for years and they've been just so good to me. If my time is 2pm-5, they almost invariably call at 145pm and they're in and out in about 45 mins with my routine maintenance. I worked with Gus today and he walked me through everything, so I'm glad I was able to actually see what they do when they are looking at our furnace. Chee recently came out to service our furnace and install a Nest thermostat. He was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgable, called before arriving with an accurate ETA, wore a mask and shoe covers, and did great work - he added a wire so our Nest could work (this is why you call the pros) and took care of recycling our old mercury Honeywell.As a relatively new homeowner, it's great to find a place like Standard because it just takes a whole category of concerns off your plate. If it's HVAC related, we don't screw with it anymore, we just call Standard. They're professional, they're helpful, they do great work, and they don't upsell you.

Standard heating installed our new furnace and A/C fast and on time and budget and even noticed a small gas leak at our meter outside that was found to be a regulator.next i called them out for a Warranty call and were here quickly,on time and were incredibly knowledgeable and had everything they needed with them.both Chris`s were fast,professional,personable and worked fast and thorough.can`t Thank them or Recommend them enough!for me to leave a review,they would have had to have been way above par,they were.

I have done business with Standard in the past, but would never use them again. I had my a/c and furnace tuned/checked because I saw the ad on their website. Bottom line: they did not honor their advertised price. When I called them to question, Ryan, the manager in charge,basically called me a liar. After calling, I checked again online and competitors were/are offering the same deals for same services but somehow they have never offered a deal like that before. Buyer beware. My mistake.

We have worked with them for many years, in our own home with gas furnace and a/c as well as our rehab houses when we need HVAC, including a new boiler. Last month, my AC was leaking badly & I was in a real bind. I called Standard Heating & AC because I heard they are a company you can trust.Following a thorough inspection of my unit, the SH team confirmed that equipment needed to be replaced. I scheduled a follow up & met with a sales rep later that week.When Rich arrived at my home, he was already familiar with the results of the inspection & the nature of my existing equipment. After a quick tour to locate vents & estimate square footage, we sat down and Rich opened his notebook.He walked me through all of my options, taking into consideration initial capital outlay, total lifetime cost & estimated payback period.Then he put down his notes and shot me straight.“You don’t need to do much to fix the AC. Your existing furnace is older, but extremely reliable and will last you at least 10-15 more years. The technology on our newer equipment is great, but the footprint of your home isn’t significant enough to justify the cost. If I were you, I would stick with what you have and just replace the coil.”I considered my options & called back a couple days later to finalize. I went with Rich’s advice. Installation was quick, easy & I saved a lot of money. The AC is working great & I love coming home to a cool and comfortable house.Big thank you to the Standard Heating & AC team. We first used Standard to install our ductless minisplit system. They offered a middle-low bid and 2 year 0% financing. They were great to work with from sales to scheduling to install to maintenance. A great warranty that went above and beyond any other company as well. Since then I’ve hired them to tune up our boiler last fall and repair something on our boiler this summer. I would say they’re very high quality. A little more expensive than the lowest bid, but I think I got more than I paid for with the service they offer. Will continue to use them.

Had them come out today to give me a quote this time around and they were one of the highest quotes I got. The fella they sent out was nice enough to begin with, but got a little salty when I told him the other quotes I received. He spent about 20 minutes at my dining room table crunching numbers and then left without even giving me the quote he had printed off. They also are charging a fortune to fill refrigerant/Freon, also one of the highest quotes I got. They might do good work, but they certainly charge a premium.

It’s January and my heat went out! Everyone at Standard heating worked to help me out and to get my heat working again. First they came out to see if the furnace could be repaired, they explained all of my options and we’re very patient while I looked into all of the possibilities. In the end, I got a bran new furnace. The process was smooth, everyone was very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend.

We moved into our house in fall of 2019. Spring 2020, the basement flooded. After flood damage and mold mitigation, we called Standard Heating and Air Conditioning. We set an appointment for end of July to have the duct system cleaned and sanitized. Mel, from the office was very helpful answering our questions. We learned their techs are trained in furnace systems; it isn’t just a summer job for the techs. Our tech, Jon arrived on time and was very professional, knowledgeable about our duct system and air quality. He showed us the photos and videos of our duct system. The vents hadn’t been cleaned in years. It's made a difference in our air quality, especially now with the AC on. We give Standard and their folks all the stars for quality customer service!

I requested several quotes for boiler replacement, but Tom Snuggerud with Standard Heating & Air Conditioning, was the ONLY rep to listen to my goals (I want to add a mini-split heat pump for air next year), take measurements, and give me a recommendation based on the unique features of my home and my goals. I appreciated that he did not try to up-sell me (there's nothing wrong with my water heater!) or quote features I did not need. I am so grateful for Lucy, who expedited installation (I had no heat.) The installation team was courteous and professional, and did a beautiful job on the installation. In fact, when they discovered something that had been quoted was not needed, but something else was, they made that adjustment and informed me. The frosting on all of this is that Standard Heating is a great corporate citizen and gives back to the community. We’re newer home owners and are impressed with the quality and value of their service, as well as the education provided to us by the technician, Chad—a very nice guy. We had an issue where our furnace stopped working in the middle of the night, not a fun situation with freezing temps. The issue was resolved promptly before I needed to put on a second pair of wool socks. Because of our warranty from when they installed the system years ago (which covered an expensive part replacement), and the affordable service membership benefits, the bill was nominal. We have peace of mind moving forward that they have us covered if there were ever other issues. I also appreciated the extra info and explanation from the technician about the complex HVAC system.

The AC install they did a few years ago was pretty good and they do a good system follow up a year later. A few years later we had an issue and they were quick to come out and troubleshoot the issue. The issue was covered under warranty. When your AC or heat goes out it is never convenient and their availability and knowledgeable staff are top notch.

Rob and his team did an excellent job replacing our HVAC system. What is typically a very messy, stressful job was actually quite pleasant. Rob as very timely and efficient and very personable - walking us thru all of the steps necessary to accomplish the task at hand. Also kudos to Rick who sold us on the advantages of the HVAC system. We have had excellent service from Standard Heating and Air. They come promptly and give you a heads up call. They are always courteous and we never feel like they are trying to push for repairs that are not needed. We have 13 year old appliances, so repairs are sometimes needed. When they are recommended, the technicians say so and whether needed or recommended they explain and show why they think so and explain the level of importance. On our first call with them, we expected to have to buy a new air conditioner but they were able to repair it for minimal costs. Standard has been excellent on every visit.

Standard installed our furnace a few years ago, so when we wanted to install a humidifier this year we picked them. They have a very good reputation, and have always done well in our house. The installer was on time, was quite professional, and explained everything. More importantly, the installation looks good and works well. A total digression here, but many years ago forced air furnace humidifiers didn't have the best reputation; they were reputed to have maintenance and cleaning issues. I guess the technology has improved as I am quite impressed with the new humidifier. Should have done this a few years ago. And, if you want a quality installation - and you do get what you pay for - I recommend Standard Heating.

Our A/C failed in a stretch of extremely hot weather and repair/replace times were scheduling quite a ways out due to A/C failures across the metro because of the heat. Elliot worked us into his schedule earlier than anticipated and upon discovering that our A/C was not repairable, gave us great advice/options and was able to get us a new A/C installed the next day. Elliot was professional, responsive, timely, and friendly too. I do not leave reviews often, but this was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had.

Standard Heating and Air conditioning is the best I own a rental in saint paul and when my furnace went out they sent someone out early Sunday morning to repair it they even went the extra step to figure out the part was under warranty and there was no charge. In addition to that the technician did a carbon monoxide check on the furnace. I can't say enough about Standard Air Conditioning and would definitely recommend them. Standard came out a second time several years apart. Same gresz t service.

Annual A/C check with an extra need for a look at thermostat. Service person professional, polite and told me what he was doing. I called them because my Lennox furnace started to make noise after I replaced a new filter. Summer answered the phone, was very nice & scheduled a repair appointment. Mike the service gentleman came and was very honest to tell me that all he did was to push the aluminum cover of the filter slot and that stopped the noise, it took a second to do that :) I was standing right there & the noise stopped.He however took a peak at ignitor & he wiped the sensor that he said was already clean.My family recommended them to me so there was a trust and sure enough they are trustworthy. So, I paid $100/- for the service fee -- which is to come to the house.Happy New Year everyone! Hopefully, 2022 will be a very blessed year!!!

The safety check on my furnace was done in a timely and thorough manner. The service technicians called before they came; offered to wear masks; explained everything they did; offered proactive advice about my 21-year-old furnace and wore protective footwear. Came out to repair my air conditioning unit (I specified this when I called). They charge me $159.00 to tell me they will be charging me $740 to fix it, BUT if I sign a contract with them, they'll include the $159 as part of the $740. Absolutely rip-off. Go elsewhere.EDIT: I see you've responded to this, so I have a couple of questions about that.1. If your repair team came out and saw that it couldn't be repaired, why did they go ahead with the order, charge me for the repair and THEN tell me it couldn't be fixed?2. Once this mix-up happened, I was told you would refund me the difference between a diagnosis charge and a repair charge. Still waiting on THAT.

Super helpful repairman, explained everything, answered all our questions and not a hint of trying to up sell any parts or services. In fact, we had to ask him about getting a service contract (which is a great bargain). I will use this company exclusively in the future for any heating and A/C needs. The scheduler was super and the service was on time. I would give more than five stars if you had them!

I just finished a major remodel on a 100 year old house. The furnace had to be replaced and had no AC. Standard was a star from the first estimate with Cody, contacts with office staff and then an excellent installment with Jeff. Both Cody and Jeff answered all my questions with details I could understand. The installation was done with no problems.I did get other estimates but Standard came in with a reasonable bid with no extra costs; that another company added.

Our furnace was putting out terrible smelling exhaust. We made a service appointment. And then the day before the appointment, our furnace quit altogether. Early March in Minnesota gets cold! Standard came out right away that same day. Arrived when they said they would, very polite, very professional. Before lunchtime the very next day we had a new super efficient furnace installed and heating up the house! Couldn’t be happier! Signed up for the maintenance plan. Looking forward to continuing to work with Standard.

Standard installed our new furnace and HVac. Jude was our installer and the main service technician. He called before he came and arrived on time. During the installation he was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient and answered all our questions. The other technician named Chew (sorry if misspelled) was honest/very upfront that the Standard salesman sold us on the wrong area of the house that would have to be up to code for inspection. Instead of hiding things, Chew let us know that a small minor adjustment in location on the side of our house would have to be made where drilling and installing the PVC pipe was needed. All in all, we are happy with the outcome of the installation of our new furnace and HVac by Standard.

Our 23-year-old furnace died early on a Friday, with a very cold weather forecast. A repairman from Standard Heating came out early on Saturday and gave us the bad news: we needed a new furnace. He arranged for a salesperson to visit us that same afternoon to assess our needs and recommend how to proceed. He in turn set up an appointment with the installation team to replace the dead furnace on Monday. Sure enough, they arrived bright and early Monday and before noon the heat was on. We had three cold days, but appreciated the prompt and thoughtful service from the friendly and efficient Standard Heating professionals.

Jake came and did the yearly inspection of our heating and air conditioning systems. Everything went smoothly. Jake was prompt, friendly, responsive and very professional. Look forward to seeing him again next year.

They arrived exactly when they said they would, and upon introducing themselves and putting on their shoe covers, proceeded to check the AC for summer use and noticed a failing furnace pump which they were able to replace immediately. They were very friendly and knowledgeable, and explained in detail what was done and told us about their Smart Club. I don't believe you could find better customer service than Standard. They could be a model for every business. From calling to speak to customer service, to sales, to the entire team that comes to your home it is outstanding customer service and professionalism. They wore masks the entire time, wear shoe covers and put down floor covers for the entire install. The pricing is one of those where you get what you pay for but very fair pricing. Quality of work is top notch. They came out for a repair during the bitter cold and credited me that repair cost to replace my 21 year old furnace. They assessed my btu needs and actually found I could reduce from a 60,000 to 44,000 unit based on my condo. A new furnace is a huge cost but I felt I was in the best hands the entire process. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Standard Heating & Air was amazing to work with. We had them come out as part of the regular maintenance plan. Upon that appointment, we found out our 17 year old furnace needed to be replaced. We scheduled an appointment to have Rich come over and measure our home and give us our options. It was a fabulous experience. He explained everything to us clearly. It was easy to decide what to do from there. He made sure to get us the appointment time we wanted and even called the next morning to confirm. The replacement of our furnace was a smooth process. We didn't noticed a single hiccup. We were actually excited to get a new furnace (which normally would be an unwelcome experience especially right before Christmas - which was the timing on ours). I have been on the monthly premium plan with Standard Heating and Air for several years. Typically I have one of two consistent reps which allows you to get to know them. One has even provided his cell phone number and I have used it a couple of times for quick questions. Upon their recommendation I have installed a Dynamics electric filter system to filter out allergens and other particles in the air - it has made a big difference in the quality of air in the house. I really trust these guys!

We have been a member of Standard Heating's Gold program for regular bi-annual maintenance for several years and it's one of the best values around. Standard calls us in the winter to schedule a check-up of our furnace and in the summer to test the AC. They provide a three hour window for the service call, a tech calls when they are on their way, and they're general in and out in about 45 minutes. Today our tech was Gavin, who was punctual, courteous, knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything he found. I'd recommend both him and the company for anyone needing HVAC service!

Will be using them again.As a follow up, I had signed up for their tune up service. When they showed up for the tune up I was expecting a quick, cursory inspection. Instead, they spent over an hour going through my furnace, inspecting and cleaning every part as they went. Really thorough job. I am impressed.

Though the news on the tune up of our furnace was not ideal (turns out we will need a new one this fall due to multiple cracks and rust noted in the inspection), when Ryan delivered the news it was clear he cared and went the extra mile to make sure I understood what he found and the risks associated with it. He showed me photos he took with special equipment that allowed him to see various parts of the furnace. He took time to answer all my questions and helped me set up another appointment to talk about our options for repairs or replacement of our furnace. He also told me about a program they offer that would help us in the future and includes discounts on new equipment if/when needed. AC was not working due to low pressure found by tune-up tech. Service tech came out next day to fix it. Standard Heating techs were on time, friendly, efficient. Service tech explained options and costs. We chose to just recharge the system with coolant and leakstop and see if this provides a permanent fix before spending money on locating the leak and replacing parts. We appreciated the time he spent fielding our questions.

I have been nothing but impressed with Standard Heating and Air. They replaced my old air conditioner and I have had them continue maintenance on the system since doing so. Chad came this year for the AC spring tune up. He was polite, professional, knowledgeable and honest. I really enjoyed working with him.In terms of non-routine calls, last summer my a/c just stopped working one hot Saturday. Standard scheduled someone to come out the next day, ON A SUNDAY! Later that day, I got a call from Jason telling me he finished his jobs early and he could come now if I wanted. I couldn't believe it. Unfortunately, the problem ended up to be NOT straight forward. Jason ended up staying for 4 hours. He remained friendly, professional, and thorough. Not once did he come off as frustrated. And, he got my a/c working again before he left.

The level of service and support from various trade people was pretty amazing. The primary installer was on site all day from 7:20am until 4:30pm. The new air conditioner is located directly below our bedroom and it seemed a bit loud. Jeremy came out and put a rubber gasket on it that reduced the volume.

I am very frustrated. They come highly recommended and other than one service call two years ago the last two times I have called the customer representative has done everything in their power to discourage me choosing them. I will not try again. Increased review after they saw this they offered to come out. They were responsive and professional. The person who came out didn't offer solutions just a need to look more. Another company came out and fixed two issues that made a huge difference in one hour.

The person performing the installation was very friendly and did a complete and thorough job. He explained everything we needed to know concerning operation and maintenance and answered all of our questions. He left our home and yard completely clean.

Everything was very well explained, the sales rep was informative but not overly pushy. We chatted about options and after having fixed our furnace once (in an emergency), they offered a discounted price on a replacement when I decided to have it replaced a few weeks later to recoup the cost of the repair. They did a good job, it took less than one full day, and though the furnace had a small manufacturing glitch on the inside, they came back same day and fixed it in a matter of a couple minutes and it's been smooth sailing since.

The whole experience was wonderful. I called in the morning and they were able to send someone out the same day. Paul, the tech they sent out, was professional, super friendly, and explained the issue and repair in terms I could understand. I first called Standard Heating and Air Conditioning 5 years ago and they performed some maintenance on my 22-year-old furnace. The technician was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We discussed the possibility of my old furnace failing during the winter and I decided to buy a new furnace and air conditioner. The units were installed 4 years ago and have functioned well ever since. Also, I have controlled my maintenance costs by joining Standard's Smart Club. For a small monthly fee, I am eligible for free periodic maintenance to ensure that my equipment will always function properly, and, as a club member, I go to the head of the line in case I might need emergency service. Yesterday, Ben arrived and performed my annual preventive maintenance service. It took an hour and he verified that I would have no problems during the next year. He did a great job. When friends ask for my recommendation, I always point to Standard Heating.

Recently we have been served by professionals such as Deacon and are impressed with the service. My furnace and air conditioner are over 20 years old, but their staff have kept them in excellent working order long past most of my neighbors'. I highly recommend.

Heat went out on Monday and was red tagged. Seth couldn't get to us to give us an estimate that night but wanted me to call after 2 other companies came over with their estimates. I called, he was able to give a ballpark estimate over the phone, squeezed me in amongst an already full morning on Tuesday, took measurements, was much more thorough than the other companies and was able to beat the other 2 estimates. New furnance installed on Friday before frigid temps begin over the weekend. Everything was done and cleaned up in half a day. Very happy with the entire process from sale to installation.

I have had repairs caught as well that as a home owner I would have missed, so I like the security knowing it is unlikely my HVAC will fail when I need it most.

From scheduling the service to the appointment itself, I was impressed with their service all around.Our AC went out mid summer and we were able to get a technician out the very next day. Seth was incredibly kind and informative. He took the time to explain everything, answer any and all questions I had and even took time to say hi to the dogs at the end :) We will definitely be repeat customers the next time we have an issue! I've used Standard Heating for any repair work I've needed on my old furnace and AC. When they came to fix my 26 year old furnace this time, I needed a new one and they replaced both my furnace and AC. From working with Rick the sales guy to the crew that did the work led by Wes, and electrical from Spark, everything was professional and flawless. I hate when contractors don't respect your property and told Wes that when he showed up. They wore booties and laid runners on the hardwood and took care not to damage anything in their work. When the city inspector came, before he saw the installation, he asked me who did it. When I told him Standard, he said it was going to be an easy inspection. He said he had never written up Standard for any inspection he ever did on their work. When I showed the inspector who was formerly an installer the quote with applicable discounts and rebates, he told me that was a good price for what I got. I can't tell you about competitive costs, because I didn't get any. I trust this family owned business and it makes it easy when I have HVAC needs, I just call Standard Heating and Air Conditioning.

Obtained an appointment for a furnace repair visit within a day of calling. The technician, Greg, called when on his way and arrived at the early end of the window I had been promised. Performed the work in a timely manner and gave my furnace a good report. I've used Standard before and will use them again, should the need arise.

My technician Jason was very professional and willing to answer questions that I had. He told me he would be both inside and out doing his work. Before he was going to do some welding he told me that my smoke detector might go off but not to worry. I heard him finish and no alarm, but just as I said that to myself then the alarm went off. It only lasted for like one minute. Jason told me my new a-coil has a two year warranty. That extra year is because I am a member of the Smart Club.My thanks to Jason and to his brother Mike who did the diagnosis about two weeks ago.

I had Standard Heating and Air Conditioning out this week for an annual check on the system I purchased a year ago. The tech was COVID safe with mask and shoe covering, as well as professional and let me know what he was doing. Everything checked out AOK, as I knew it would. This is my second system from Standard (different house) with same great experience. I'm so happy I went with Standard again!

So far so good.Seems like they have tune-up technicians who perform the regular maintenance, who then escalate to another appointment for a service/repair technician to come out if there are any issues to address. It would certainly be more convenient if it could all get done in one visit, but it's not that big a deal. Maybe that's normal for the industry, I really have no idea. Systems is systems.Everyone's been easy to deal with, and Mitchell was exactly what I appreciate in a service tech. Pleasant and capable demeanor, clear communicator, and seemed to be interested in giving me the right information and recommendations, rather than bombarding me with irrelevant sales just for the sake of sales. This is the way.

This is the second time Chad as provided service for me. He has always been outstanding. He explains every thing about what he is doing and is always courteous and polite. He enjoys his job and it shows. He speaks highly of Standard Heating and their customer service. I am a Smart Club member and I will always request him when I need service.Joe came out today instead of Chad to check my furnace. He climbed into the furnace and found 3 heat exchanger cracks and took pictures. Time to replace the furnace after 16 years.

Great service and quick response. Even tho there was an issue with the AC unit they installed, they went out of their way to make it right.

We needed a new furnace and were pressed for time, due to our house being sold and closing a week away. They came out and had it all scheduled and fixed within 3 days. The install was quick and clean.

Standard installed new heating and air conditioning systems in 2016 and we've been happy with the better energy efficiency and controls. Standard has been back twice a year since then for regular system checks and maintenance. This keeps our warranty current. They do a nice job of flagging any issues and helping us keep our system in great shape. Tasha and Brian were our most recent tech team. They did a short refresher on how to check on system performance through the digital controller. They were patient in answering our questions, clear and efficient all at the same time! Nice job! Replaced an 18 yr old A/C with a newer, more efficient one. Fast, friendly service, and reasonably priced. And I especially like that they RECYCLE everything!!!

This company has excellent customer service! Not only was the scheduler over the phone friendly, she was very helpful and professional. Our repair man called exactly 30 minutes prior to arriving (which is what I was told he would do). He was very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained to me what the exact issue was. The whole experience was smooth and easy. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a repair or maintenance of any kind with their air conditioner/ heater. I look forward to using their services for maintenance throughout the year.

We returned from a vacation to find our furnace would not ignite. Standard allowed us direct contact with their technician, Elliot who was working the night shift. Elliot was on site within 2 hours, and we could not be more pleased his work. He communicated beautifully, was extreemly knowledgeable, and most efficient.This was our first experience with Standard. This experience has caused us to replaced our former provider - we are now preferred members of Standard's Smart Club.We have now had two additional outstanding experiences with two other Standard technicians as part of our Smart Club membership. 5 stars.

In Fall 2022, I had them come out for annual furnace tune-up. For just a little more money I was able to partake in the Smart Club Membership which also included an AC tuneup in the Spring (among other benefits). When they came for that, my 33-year-old system was ready to be replaced so someone else came out the same day to give an estimate. Cody was friendly, courteous, and not a high-pressure salesman. (AND he fosters dogs!) He listened to what my wants/needs were and provided a very reasonable estimate for a new system. Installation happened the next week. I highly recommend them! (They installed my furnace back in about 2006.)

Jason was pleasant and explained everything well. Went thru an instructional for the new thermostat doing a thorough job.

Chris made a special call to answer our questions about a newly installed Aprilaire humidifier. Great experience! Chris was helpful, professional, courteous.

Usual excellent service doing an annual furnace inspection by Casey . He informed me about a potential problem with the furnace secondary heat exchanger. Informed me it was not urgent but warranted monitoring. He gave me three options for addressing the problem when and if it needed attention, including that money was available from a lawsuit settlement trust that would lower my costs. Very knowledgeable, very understandable explanations. Casey also provided information on a thermostat option I had asked about.Ive used Standard for over 20 years and have always gotten excellent knowledgeable and courteous service.

Quickly figured out what was wrong with my furnace, offered me several options which I ended up signing up for the yearly maintenance plan because a standard cleaning was what I needed. No pressure from the tech, great communication. Would recommend.

My AC broke over the holiday weekend. I was able to call Standard Heating and they were able to squeeze me in first thing Monday. Chris, my technician was professional and prompt. He repaired the unit and made sure to test it was working properly before wrapping up. Super happy with their service.

Right from the first call with Mel, she was warm, friendly, informative and helpful! Great first impression and then I was introduced to Matt who cleaned my furnace, another fantastic experience! He did a great job and answered my many questions! I have already told my Neighbors they get two thumbs up from me!

Literally every person I've worked with has been incredibly friendly, polite, and knowledgeable, and I rest easy knowing that if anything happens to my home's furnace or air conditioner, it will be fixed correctly and for a fair price.

Both gentleman were professional, (Grant and his partner) attentive to cleanliness inside the home, explained what they would be doing, installed a new filter for system, washed AC outside and put everything back where it was to start with.
