Very honest assessment of a relatively minor plumbing problem by technician Jordan V. He was very prompt and personable. I chose not to pursue professional repair due to the quoted cost, which was apparently a fixed price regardless of the relatively minor repair needed. I therefore paid only for a service call.

Troy was professional and clearly explained the purpose of the electric audit. In addition to his findings, he incorporated our wish list and came up with several proposals that would benefit us. He answered our questions to our level of understanding, and we appreciated that he did not try to pressure us to spend the highest worklist price. He gave a detailed walkthrough explaining the work done and cleaned up before he left. Troy demonstrated good work ethic and was a really nice knowledgeable young man to have worked for us. We highly recommend him!
We are interested in replacing our furnace, AC and water heater. Matt Ketterling made an evaluation of our HVAC system and water heater which we were concerned that they had already exceeded their life expectancy. Matt confirmed our need to eventually replace all three. After talking to us about our system, he worked several configurations for replacing our outdated equipment. He than proceeded to show us and explain each of the options capabilities, price, and warranties. Matt explained each system to our satisfaction. We selected a system which fit our needs as well as our budget. Matt took us through the paperwork to get the project started. We are totally satisfied that we will have a new furnace, water heater and air conditioning as well as a humidifier. I recommend Matt to anyone who is in the market for a new HVAC system.

We needed air conditioner repair. They gave me all the information upfront and did a good job. The problem is I paid over $2000 for 1.5hrs work a $300 worth of parts. Look. I tried on several occasions to speak with a manager but never got a return call. Look elsewhere for a 2nd quote before going with Genz-Ryan
Removed and Replaced Hot Water Heater. Original ruptured at midnight and I got appt. confirmation for that morning. Great communication and prompt service. New install was completed within 12 hours of failure. Jordan is a conscience professional plumber who does good work and was easy to have in the house.

Evan was fabulous! He quickly identified and repaired the connections needed to get our AC unit working again. He was patient and took the extra time to make sure that I fully understood the work that he had done.
Very happy with the service. Dave was the most personable repair tech I've ever worked with. Arrived promptly. Friendly, polite and efficient. He figured out the water softener problems and gave me the options and recommendations. No judgement. No pressure. He figured out how to squeeze the new devices in, then repaired/replaced all the components that were plugged up throughout the whole house. Max did a great job today, he was scheduled to replace two new toilets at my house, he replaced a third one a few months ago, and what an improvement over the standard builder issue! He went over and above to get the job done despite having to wait on parts at a previous job. I scheduled an appointment for a furnace tuneup.The technician, Karim Bardai arrived on time. Very pleasant young man.I mentioned that I was told I needed a new inducer motor, by a different company.After checking things out he said that I definitely need the new motor, but he could not match the price I had been quoted.He started explaining what needed to be done. Telling me the information I should give to the other company. With the knowledge he imparted, I told him I was more comfortable having him do the repair.Great person to do business with.

Our air conditioner died and we knew our system was old. Genz-Ryan sent Pete out the next morning - a Saturday and the hottest weekend of the year - and he was wonderful. We had some coffee, he checked out our system, gave us a range of options to fit our budget, explained everything thoroughly, and no pressure. And the new filtration system will help clean the air in our whole house which is help with our son’s allergies. Thank you Pete and we can’t wait for installation day!

We built our house brand new in 2021. Genz Ryan was contracted through our builder for almost everything. Since moving in we have had a number of problems with how they installed equipment. Our first year in, our A/C would turn on every time our heat turned on. Come up find out they wired it incorrectly. Second was a plumbing issue where they didn’t fully remove the drain knockout in the pipes which caused water backup and damaged our trim throughout the room (again brand new house). NOW, our A/C unit is out, come to find out they wired the unit to our humidifier so during the winter months the unit was most likely turning on and caused damage to the compressor. I call up Genz Ryan to have them honor their work and they won’t without paying additional fees! Beware using this company for anything! We have had nothing but nightmares battling with this company! Note, our whole neighborhood also had Genz install their components and there are a number of complaints which many homeowners anre still battling. Enough to start a class action lawsuit! We wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone we know.

I had Genz-Ryan come out and look at an issue with my garbage disposal. They were efficient and diagnosed the problem seamlessly. When discussing my options, the technician did a great job describing all the different options, and was not pushy about my price-point. He did a great job and I am incredibly satisfied- will use them in the future.

I was happy they could come out on a weekend but that quickly turned to disappointment when the technician turned out to be more of a salesman. I was disgusted by the high pressure sales tactics. The conversation had little to do with what was wrong and how to fix it but rather “how much can you afford?” They offered a series of repair options from $1,500 up to $9,000 and replacement options from $5,000 to $33,000. This for a broken home air condition, and all without properly explaining what was wrong. In the end I was happy to pay their $99 “consultation fee” just for them to leave. I hired a small business AC shop to address the problem and it was fixed the right way for just $268. Lots more communication than I got from the shady Genz-Ryan tech.
Max was a pleasure to have in our home for plumbing maintenance. He gave us a very thorough listing of the work we might want to do soon as preventative maintenance in a manner that I, as an engineer, and my wife, a non-engineer could understand and appreciate. I expect we will call Genz-Ryan for our next plumbing need.

Josh was very transparent, honest and upfront about what to expect. My only disappointment was getting the total cost of repair upfront from the customer service reps on the phone prior to the visit. Feel I got the runaround on that piece but in regards to Josh, the service was great.One other piece of feedback is on the estimated time of Tech arrival. The times quoted were 40 minutes to an hour and in actually, I waited 2+ hours each time so maybe want to rebook at how those times are being estimated and communicated to the customer.
Scheduled an appointment only to have them call the next day refuse to come and do service because I live in a condo, which I own. And even though the service requested was not on anything shared w/ the building. Will not recommend any company that discriminates against homeowners based on what type of home they own.

Positive reviews are bots. Notorious for overcharging and underdelivering. Avoid at all costs!
I’ll say first that Genz Ryan was completely professional and the service was good and our service tech was knowledgeable. However, the value was not there. Had we have used them for a larger project, install, etc., it might have been worth the money, but for the repair of two toilets (changing out a few parts), the price was too much. The downside is, by the time you have them at your door, you owe them a trip charge. So you’re stuck paying for nothing, or potentially overpaying for something little. If you have small repairs needed, find a smaller company with less overhead. If that doesn’t matter and you want something fixed ASAP, then Genz will probably be a good choice for you.Again. Good company I can recommend for the quality of work they did. But the price was too high.

My furnace was not firing and genz Ryan sent out Joey Frechette to fix it. He was prompt,curteous,professional and friendly. Got the job done quickly and knew what he was doing. I'm very happy with their service. I will definately do business with them again.
We were so blessed to have Bill as our service rep. He did a very thorough job, was very professional and knowledgeable. He also shared options and ideas to make our system more efficient and affordable. Beyond the excellent service, Bill was just basically a wonderful person to have around! He's upbeat, positive, kind, humorous...we could go on. With the outstanding service and materials, we probably won't be calling you guys anytime soon, but when we do, I hope we get Bill.

Andrew 5-stars. He was friendly, thorough, and understanding when we didn’t know exactly how we wanted the work done. We felt safe while he was in our home. Scheduling office 3-stars. When I called to schedule a consultation, the first appointment was 2 week out and was told I’d get a call the day before with the time the electrician would arrive. The day before my service I didn’t receive a call and on the day of my service no one showed up, the first communication from the scheduling office was at 4:30pm letting us know “no one could get out today and the soonest appointment is in a week”. Service appointments require home preparation and to schedule *soft* appointments was disappointing.
Gary came to clear a clogged drain, he did an excellent job, he was very thorough and made sure everything was 100% before he left. He was also outstanding at explaining the issue and method of repair. He was also very friendly and was a pleasure to have as our technician.
I purchased a new home in June and called Genz-Ryan to get my AC serviced. They couldn't get me in for 6 weeks, which was annoying but can't blame a company for being popular. They day before my appointment they called and canceled my appointment and said they couldn't get to me for another 2-3 weeks. After rescheduling I got a call the day before my new appointment saying I would be the first house in the morning and someone would be there at 8am. At 8:45am I called because no one had come and they said someone would be there sometime before noon. A couple hours later they called and said they wouldn't have anyone there in the morning but might be able to get someone by 5 or I could reschedule for another 2 weeks out. I canceled multiple meetings and took time off of work to be home for these appointments and have nothing to show for it.

Angel (install) and Joey (tech) were both awesome. On time, super efficient, explained everything really well. These guys work super fast ! Joey got us set up on install immediately after figuring out we had some major issues with AC. They took care of all rebate paperwork. We are super pleased. Getting diagnostic and full replacement of AC in 24hrs during the summer was not something we expected was possible. You guys rock!
We have used Genz and Ryan for the past 2-3 years and even pay the monthly $5 for yearly AC and Furnace tune-ups. We recently moved and wanted to get our furnace and AC checked out on the new house. Joey came by and had a look everything went great he changed a couple of things and suggested we got the ducts and vents cleaned. We agreed and paid upfront. He gave us a date for when the cleaning would be done. The duct and vent cleaning was postpone for a later time and we decided we didn't want to wait that long so asked for a refund. We noticed we were $300 short on the refund and called right away. Natalie stated the $300 were for the warranty. We talked to Jeff the Customer service manager we felt very upset after talking to him and being told warranty was included in the package we were sold and that it was non-refundable. In my personal opinion I feel like the word warranty should be mention by all technicians when selling packages and explained throughly I did not think this was the case with us. I asked for an itemized receipt which I didn't think was very explainable and we were told multiple times “we signed for it”. We will be using someone else from now on .

Karim was fantastic! We had another vendor come out the other day and priced out a replacement for our HVAC. While Karim provided us a quote (and came in lower than the other), he inquired about what happened when with the AC…he figured out exactly why our AC wasn’t working (something small) and saved us from needing to buy a new system. We will be going back to Genz Ryan and Karim when we are ready (the system is 20 years old).
The technician explained all that I needed to know about the repair and upkeep of my furnace. He was polite and honest and presented the options that would work best for my situation. I learned a lot about preventing problems in the future. I would use this technician again. He was very trustworthy and helpful.

Lucas was an amazing associate to have in my home helping figure out what was wrong with my air conditioning. He was quick, concise, and very personable. He figured out the issue very quickly and even though it was a quick fix, he was still very thorough and checked the rest of the parts to ensure everything was in good working condition. I called Genz Ryan for a whole house AprilAire dehumidifier install quote. The customer service rep was super polite. However, my experience with this company went south real quick when she told me that if we don’t have them install, they charge $99 to come out and give us a quote. I clarified this was a SALES quote, not a service call. I will never call them for any sort of service or sales ever. Very shady.
Floor drain in the utility room was backing up making it impossible to use the dishwasher, the washer or the laundry tub without it backing up.. Neither bathroom seemed to be a part of the problem.. Gary arrived on time and went about assessing the problem presenting me with three different solutions and I selected the solution best fitting my situation..Gary then went to work on the problem finishing very close to the time he had expected. Started using the dishwasher again with no issues. Gary did a good job and I would have no problem at all having him come into my home again for this type of work. He is an excellent representative for your company!
Chris came out for a tune up and did a great job. I described a noise that recently started coming from my heating unit and he quickly found the problem. Very polite, great customer service. Very knowledgeable and thorough. Clearly explained the work, answered all my questions. Verified my warranty before performing repairs.
Jackson was awesome! Knowledgeable, explained everything, and answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns. On top of it, once I saw how thorough of a job Jackson did on just cleaning the AC unit, and replacing and upgrading parts, I knew we were in good hands. Scheduled duct cleaning also. Very happy! Dalton has been to my house more than my own mother recently. He’s helped us deal with a number of furnace issues.. He is personable, courteous, friendly, and provided us with a ton of options for replacement of our furnace and AC. I really appreciate all he has done to ensure we are taken care of, often times staying late to go the extra mile to make sure the problem is resolved. Tonight he worked with us to find the right new components that will best suit our needs. Great service!
The technician was polite and friendly as well as knowledgeable and thorough. He diagnosed the problem with our furnace and corrected it. He also inspected and made recommendations regarding the furnace air filter and the humidifier water panel.
Matt was very professional and personal, Was honest about the issue, didn’t push extra services and fixed our leaking sink pipes within an hour.

My whole experience has been great so far. The scheduler was friendly and called me the day of my appointment to let me know I was the next stop, and that the technician would call about 15-30 minutes ahead of arriving . She also asked if there was anything I was concerned about relating to my appointment!! Matt K. was my technician. He was punctual, professional, very easy to talk with, and knowledgeable. He provided 6 different options and pricing on the spot!!

Nick and team were amazing. This was a big job, full replace of mini split with outdoor unit and four indoor heads. The old job was DIY, so they had a lot to contend with and they worked until 9 PM buttoning it up and testing it to make sure we were satisfied. They kept me in the loop and did a great job cleaning up the site after. Highly recommend.
We lost power to half of our house and called Andrew and his team. He came out, did a full electrical inspection, listened and asked several follow ups, was able to diagnose the issue and other issues that seemed non-electrical, came up with several solid options, and later came out with two others to fix our electrical and furnace! The cost was reasonable and I know we’re set for years and years. His work also consisted of a detailed report including pictures, he sent me text updates as the work progressed, and my dogs got loose and he played with them!!!I would recommend Genz-Ryan to anyone who asked. Great team, great value. Also, Andrew is a Marine Corp vet so I thank him for his service to our country as well!

I had an immediate plumbing issue and googled plumbers in my area and Genz-Ryan was the first provider that came up. I called and was able to get a next day appointment. The person answering the phone was helpful and explained their process thoroughly. Joel, my technician, was so friendly! I had a huge project and he was at my home most of the day, was a pleasure to have him in my home. He had great communication and was patient with my 5 year old daughter who wanted to chat with him while he worked. He took time to answer her questions as to what he was doing. He was professional. I would definitely recommend this company and Joel in particular. My project was big so another technician, Shawn also came to help. He was also very professional and efficient. So grateful for these guys and that the issue was resolved same day! Couldn’t have asked for more!

The only reason this is a 2 star review and not a 1 star review is entirely because the technician who came to my house, David was professional, courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Their prices were considerably higher than I was expecting, so I'm going to get a second opinion. The biggest negative I have is with their scheduling. My first appointment was canceled due to a technician being unavailable. Luckily I was able to reschedule for the next day, however I got yet another voicemail about the tech being late, when I called back to find out what was going on, I confirmed it wouldn't be an issue as my wife was home the whole day. My misunderstanding was believing that was the confirmation for my appointment, it unfortunately was not... they called me again a short while later for the real confirmation call, which I was unable to answer due working in a restricted lab, cellphones are not allowed inside. As such they canceled my service call and I needed to reschedule yet again. It took almost 4 weeks before I finally got a tech out to my house.

Great job trouble shooting garage lights stopped working. Sean the technician had it diagnosed and repaired efficiently and was great to work with. Explained options and was a nice guy easy to talk to.
So I gave them Good Quality because that's what they offer. I chose Profesional because they represent true professionals of the industry. They are responsive because I've never received an answering machine and they keep in touch via text. On Time because they showed up during the window they gave me. I didn't give them Good Value because to me Good Value is the fly by night worthless people who perform half Value jobs and charge full price. I'm giving them Better Value because this is the second time using Genz and I don't have to worry about the work they do.Tanner is the gentleman who performed my service call. He was professional, well mannered, spoke clearly while explaining the problem. He fixed the issue quick and then showed me the problem on his tablet. There is no doubt I am satisfied with his expertise and glad I've got Tanner and Genz on my side. This is not a paid review I am a happy customer and that is why I took the time to write this review.

Shea Wolgast visited because our water heater was leaking. Shea was very professional and was able to diagnose the issue quickly. He did not have the replacement part he needed with him, but he was able to go get it and fix the water heater same day.
I was initially disappointed in that I was unable to get a tech out same day as they had promised. I did get follow up calls a couple times during the day with updates but a tech never was available and I was bumped to the following day. The tech assigned the next morning was on-time, thorough and transparent with the status of my HVAC system. Blake laid out my repair options clearly and did the job to my satisfaction. He was friendly and courteous and I would recommend him for future jobs.

This is THE WORSE COMPANY you could possibly go with to fix anything. Our AC wasn’t working and they schedule us 5 days out which was fine given that it was summer and everyone is having issues. They didn’t show up and we had to call back to reschedule and they pushed us out another 5 days..then had to reschedule again a week later, and once again..no show and no phone call to tell us that they weren’t coming. We are under warranty so we had to go with them or else I would have totally called someone else. They were suppose to come out today. They asked us if there was a time that worked best and so we told them that morning would be great since we gave something going on at 2pm. It’s not 2pm and yet..no show and no phone call. GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE. WORSE COMPANY, CUSTOMER SERVICE ever!! Never again..

Jesse Kosch has been to our house twice for furnace and AC tuneups, and he has been excellent every time. He is very thorough with the inspection, and always takes the time to explain things thoroughly. I request him specifically for inspections now!
The service itself was a bit expensive but the technician who came to work on our plumbing was truly fantastic. We worked with Alex Breuer and he provided an exceptional experience, and was able to provide great tips and suggestions for our current projects and care for the home! He was very social while completing the job quickly!

Chris Norman was the tech that came to check our a/c and furnace. He came around 7 pm, I waited all day for the repair guy to come. I did get a texts that said, they were running behind, but I did not think it would be 7 pm when someone showed up. Chris told me it may take 2 hrs, but ended up taking 1:30 to check things over. It is not Chris's fault for such a late service call. He also, said we could reschedule. I wasn't about to do that again and waste another day. Everything worked out. Chris was a very nice guy, even answered a question I had that didn't concern my home. Thanks

Beware before calling this company. They will charge you a 99$ trip fee and do nothing but look around your house to find anything they can convince you to replace. We did a service call for a backed up drain. The gentleman showed up and spent 2 hours taking pictures of all our drains, pipes, water heater, air filtration, etc. (Nothing we asked about or have problems with.) We received an estimate of over $10k to ensure our house wouldn't flood (scare tactic) and that was without fixing the drain we called about. The drain guy was a separate fee, not sure what that estimate would have been because we declined his service. I felt taken advantage of and i would never use this company. It felt like a sleazy sales pitch. I'm out 99$ and the drain is still untouched.
Did business with them on our Furnace, which was fine so naturally we thought to use them for our A/C too. Charged us double what a standard A/C should cost. These guys are literally never on time. Say they'll be out before X time and then arrive three hours AFTER their latest estimate or just will reschedule entirely last minute. Their office staff can not follow instructions so good luck if you need them to call any number that you didn't directly open your account with. Then to add more salt on the wound, their warranties are only for 1 year when the industry standard for units is 5 to 10 years(like they themselves even list that on the website, but then will put 1 year warranty in person). While the techs themselves are nice, it tells you all you need to know about the company relationship when they very audibly complain about their direct management during the entire install process. Save yourself money and time and just pick literally any other business to work with.

7/5/23 Update: I received a call from a Director of Customer Service regarding my review. We discussed the service visit and noted the potential training opportunity for the tech who was onsite. My $99 service fee was refunded. The Customer Service Director was genuinely sincere in his desire to make the situation right and improve future service. I much appreciate Genz Ryan's committment to good customer service after a less-than-successful first encounter.We requested a service agent from Genz Ryan to come out and inspect/fix a clogged A-coil drainage line. This was causing water from condensation to back up into the HVAC unit and spill out onto our basement floor.When the agent arrived, I went down to the unit with him and explained the issue and our best guess at the cause (a simple clog in the PVC drainage pipe). He then spent the next 60 minutes running various diagnostic checks on the unit as well as the exterior AC unit. All of this is likely standard Genz Ryan procedure. At the end of his diagnostic checks he noted a slightly leaking solenoid on our humidifier system (completely unrelated to our issue), but said he couldn't find anything else wrong with the AC system. At that point, I again redirected his attention to the problem of the water pooling in the A-coil compartment likely caused by a clogged drainage line. He then spent 10 minutes inspecting that portion of the system and eventually agreed that this was the issue.He went out to his truck to draw up some quotes for a fix. The quote that he came back with was for a $925 complete replacement of the drainage piping. When I balked at the cost and the overkill of such a solution, he actually agreed and said that a DIY solution would likely be cheaper.In the end, I rejected the proposed $925 repair estimate, paid the $99 fixed service visit fee, received no service, and fixed the issue myself with a $4.99 pipe snake from the hardware store at 25 minutes of labor.I could not in good faith recommend Genz Ryan to a friend. They provided absolutely no value, did not have a practical, cost-effective solution to a simple issue, and tried to upsell me on unrelated maintenance services (spraying out my exterior AC unit and duct cleaning).
So this young kid comes out tells me he knows what the problem is and that it’s not being powered correctly. He tells me it old and continues to push me into their service plan but doesn’t even mention what he just fixed just points out how old it is. Fast forward a month later, does the same exact thing. I call to have them come back out and fix it again, the guy on the phone tells me it’s going to be another service charge. Won’t ever use them again and would never refer them.

We pay for the yearly warranty. Everytime an appointment is made for them to come service they cancel. The last 3 times have been canceled. We have an appointment this April, they are already calling asking for the warranty fee even though they have not came yet and missed 3 times us last year. This company over charges,has horrible customer service and can not keepp appointments. I would not go with them. We really regret paying 9k for them to install a furnace.
Returned home after 3 days out of town, and of course the house is 82 degrees inside. Called them at 8:30pm on a Sunday night tech was at my home by 10am the next morning. After looking over my system Ter had it working again in minutes. Ter thoroughly inspected my A/C and furnace showing me potential future issues with my now 18 year old system. He DID NOT try to upsell me anything. And after checking my pressures on the A/C system which showed being decent I asked him to recharge the system for the additional charge which again he didn't try to upsell. And system has never been recharged since new. I would recommend this company again.
I recently bought my first house in June and in September I had a light fixture go out, after calling around and having other companies no show for appointments I called Genz Ryan, not only was the appointment process thorough but also made me feel educated on what was going to be accomplished at the time of my appointment. Andrew from Genz. Ryan came out to the house and before starting made sure we were both on the same page as far as what work would be done on the day and what diagnoses looks like. He walked through the house and completed the inspection and diagnoses then sat down with me and explained the findings and what options I could pick from. Answered all of my questions without hesitation and didn’t offer his opinion until asked (which I appreciated Aton!) I was able to get financing through GreenSky and have them come back out the following week to perform all the service upgrades. Both Andrew, Sean and one other gentlemen came out to perform all the work we’re able to get it done in one day and we’re very flexible with my schedule as well! They replaced my panel, fire alarms, cable pole, meters and installed multiple GFI outlets, along with the repairs for what use to be a ceiling fan and now is 4 dimming can lights which I absolutely love! I will be using them in future for electrical and after finding out they do plumbing services I will be going back without hesitation! Thank you to both Andrew and Sean for giving a great easy experience!

Plumbing service- replace toilet and faucet. When replacing the toilet they discovered a clog and G-R charged me $3K to clean it out. I feel so stupid!- but I am a widow and didn't know what this should cost! A month later, it backed up again, and two weeks later it backed up again. Finally the technician cleaned out the whole line. I have had two other companies out to advise what to do to keep this from happening, and they could find nothing wrong with the pipes. If the guy had cleaned it out thoroughly to the street the first time, it would have been fine. I got ripped off.

Had a new AC unit installed in May of 2021. After installing it incorrectly it caused major flooding in my home and the ceiling to collapse. The home was just finished with the repairs in the beginning of 2022. Genz Ryan offed no discount, no compensation for time missed from work, and not even an apology. To top it off, their work just failed inspection. This is by far the worst business I have ever dealt with. Do not hire them. Just horribleUpdate: the company was supposed to come and fix the issue that failed the inspection before 3 pm on 4/13 (at least what I was told this by the customer rep that I spoke with) and of course did not make it on time.Why doesn’t management respond to my review or want to call and talk with me about the work done?
This review is specifically only for this technician. When you work with someone who cares and is competent and dedicated you should positively review them! Fantastic service. Andrew seemed to be extremely knowledgeable and explained my systems to me and listened to what i had to ask or say. Very thorough! I would recommend or request him every time.

Troy was here today and did a free electrical safety inspection. He was both professional and friendly. Was here for about an hour and did a thorough inspection. At the end he went over what he found, gave me options, some quotes, but did so with no pressure tactics. Very happy with the service they provided me with today.
Dalton was courteous and professional during the repair process and gave us a few options, we discussed what would be best and I feel he went above and beyond to ensure we were taken well care of. We even had Aaron come out to quote us on a new furnace (he was also fantastic). Would use them again for sure.
Had a waterline put into refrigerator. The plumber Jordan did a great job. He did a professional job and was very informative. My only complaint was the charge. According to the average cots of having a waterline hooked to a refrigerator should cost $300-$700. My bill was $1,525 and it was a pretty basic job. I had an unfinished basement which made work easier. Might have to get other bids next time because all my friends/family said I got robbed. Like I said happy with service but cost to do job was outrageous.

Andrew with Genz-Ryan came out to my home that I just bought to assess my water heater which was leaking. He answered all of my questions and even took the time to take a look at some other plumbing concerns that I had such as my sump pump and a leaky faucet. He was knowledgeable, straightforward, and professional. He provided up front quotes on all of the items that we discussed and provided his recommendations. We contacted Genz-Ryan after the city we live in replaced our water meter and in the process caused a leak at our main water shut off valve. I was very impressed with the office staff. They set us up right away with an appointment. When Bill arrived he was quick to determine the repair that would be needed. He took care of contacting the city to have our water shut off so he could do the necessary repairs. He was went above and beyond making sure the repair was done quickly so we could have our water turned back on right away. He even made sure to clean up the area so we didn't need to worry about the water ruining the floor. We were very happy with the process from start to finish. We will definitely contact Genz-Ryan for our future needs.

My technician Dalton Reynolds was on time, professional and personable. He performed the furnace tune-up and offered a variety of options to enhance the air quality in my home and provide protection for the important components of the furnace. He provided education of the various products and answered my questions. Since he didn't carry all of the parts needed in his truck he placed an order, had them delivered and installed on the same day. I am happy with the service.
Great communication and up front about cost and procedures. There was an issue with my service plan- Andrew still honored the agreed upon price, and ensured that I was set up correctly within the system. Very professional and friendly, would highly recommend Andrew and Ryan-Genz.
Tristan was the person who answered my service call! He was excellant, kind, infomative and seemed to really care. I felt respected and cared for. Excellant job young man!
Scheduling was a challenge, i.e. I left 2 messages over 2 days and never got a call back. When I did finally get on the schedule I almost immediately got a call back saying they would need to bump me back a day because all the slots were full. The following day I was the first appt but when nobody showed up I called and was told the tech was not scheduled to work that day. The customer service rep couldnt understand why I was frustrated by not receiving a call to inform me of this!!However, the tech was great.He took the time to educate me on the problem and offer me solutions. He was very professional and courteous.
Had issue with humidifier. I was given continuous calls to update on schedule, details about who is coming to visit to be safe.Also, the service person was very informative and given clear details on what needs to be fixed etc..
I had a clogged basement drain that overflowed everytime we used the shower. I had tried snaking it myself, but it only improved slightly. I called Genz-Ryan based on other reviews, and couldn't be happier with the service. Gary was very knowledgable, and answered all my questions about the issue and my service options. Karim was excellent! (Yes we share the same name) Very nice guy, showed us all of our options because we wanted a new furnace. He showed us everything and didn’t pressure us at all. When buying a furnace or A/C you really want all the information in front of you so you can choose confidently. Showed us different price points things we could add or take away to suit out needs. Karim brought all the info of the makes of furnaces. We asked our questions & his opinion on things and he answered them to the best of his ability.
I have used Genz Ryan three times and have always had a good experience. Pricing is always fair. I like that I can text to set up appointments and check on when a technician will arrive.

Yesterday, had Genz-Ryan come in and install a 2nd thermostat for our upstairs and Ryan was the technician sent out. He communicated via text when he was leaving with an app showing his progress to arrival, introduced himself at the door, covered his shoes, went straight to work, explained everything in great detail and assisted me with setting up an appointment for later to have duct cleaning and electrician to move a hanging fixture. Ryan was thorough, professional and did a great job!Today David came out to do the cleaning of the air duct system. He showed me live feed with the snake-camera utilized when cleaning the ducts - so much debris and sheet rock dust. He then would show me the the live feed after cleaning - amazing difference. David was diligent, thorough, kind, helpful and professional - he did an amazing job! Thrilled with the work from both these gentlemen. I highly recommend Genz-Ryan for all your HVAC needs!

Another edit: still two month later and not finished. No one calls back. I want a refund. Customer service apologizes and says billing will call me. No one calls. I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau. This is absolutely ridiculous.Edit: Still not complete! Manager called once and we talked but now I’ve called multiple times and so has my husband and he never answers or returns our calls. This is so frustrating. $20,000 mistake! I will never forgive myself for hiring them!!!!The job isn’t complete. My husband and I have contacted customer service several times and there’s never an answer to our issues. They apologize but don’t take the action necessary. They always claim they will get back to us and they don’t.

Had the yearly furnace maintenance with Genz and the tech stated that our furnace was basically dead. Talked about bad boards, cracked heat exchanger, etc. We got a second opinion (since we didnt want to spend 6k if we didnt need to). Local guy came out for a handful of hours and stated there is nothing wrong with the furnace. He couldn't find any issues besides it just being older. So I'm happy i dont have to pay for a new furnace but if we didnt know better, i'd be out 6k for NO REASON. Be carefulUpdate: Changing the review to 3 stars. I was very happy with the service provided. Steve came to check my furnace for repair and did a great job showing me what was wrong with it and why it couldn't be repaired (cracked heat exchange among other things on a 33 year old furnace). When Pat arrived for the removal and install, he was prompt, professional and friendly.Everyone that worked on my replacement, from the delivery/removal staff, the electrician, Pat and Troy, were great. They did quality work, the area they worked in as well as my stairwell were more clean when they left than when they arrived. Working in limited space at times and they genuinely did fantastic. Were some of their bids high? Yes, but there was no pressure for me to buy more than I needed, no pressure for me to apply for their financing or anything. Thank you!

I called Genz-Ryan to have electrical work done. They were able to get out to us in a few days, which was great! Andrew replaced our old non-working under-cabinet kitchen lighting with new LED ones. He was very professional and knowledgeable, he took the time to explain all of our options, and was very clear on pricing. He was very helpful in answering my questions, was not pushy, and didn't try to oversell us on anything we didn't need, which is something I really appreciated. I would highly recommend him!

Great service and quality. We had the air conditioner, furnace, and water heater replaced.Matt K., our customer service rep, was very positive and honest. Looked over our house and gave a wide variety of options. He knew our situation and budget and made a wide variety of suggestions. Then the question had to be asked... How long was the wait?... We had multiple estimates that had us anywhere from 3 weeks to 4 months out. Matt laughed and said, How does Thursday sound? We were blown away. The two weeks prior without A.C. was not fun and the fact that Genz-Ryan could get what we wanted done, within our budget, AND in a timely matter was a no-brainer.Our tech that came out, Adam G., was very polite and efficient. Even when it was raining outside. They worked hard all day and it turned out amazing. We could tell right away when the A.C. went on. Afterward they cleaned everything up, explained what was done and the general upkeep of the units, and answered all of my questions. Unfortunately, Genz-Ryan did not have the air cleaner/UV lighting in stock that I ordered. The parts were on back order which is understandable with the current situation. Adam said it would not be long, a week or two, until the parts were in and would let me know right away when the parts arrived so I could set up an appointment to have it installed.Next, I have Genz-Ryan coming out to clean the duct-work and replace the water heater. Thanks!
Our air conditioner died over the 4th of July. Their tech came the same day I called. He was extremely thorough and did a great job of explaining everything. Unfortunately, there was little that could be done long term for my ancient unit. The tech laid out my options and set up everything for a new unit to be installed the next day. I was very pleased with the service and would highly recommend.

I am getting impressed with the technicians at Genz-Ryan Dalton is the technician who inspected my AC today.. He is very pleasant to work with. He is polite and very knowledgeable and did a very thorough check on my AC as well as the furnace. He brought my attention to a few problems and offered options to address them. I really appreciate his work. Thank you Dalton.
I was able to schedule same-day visit when my furnace suddenly needed to be replaced. I had several companies visit and Karim with Genz-Ryan was fantastic. So personable, informative, and educational. He was also really respectful of my home by keeping everything neat... he even noticed an error a previous tech made that would've had me without hot water - wow was I grateful! Alex was. Very professional. Came for my free ac inspection. Very thorough. Decided to get the full ac cleaning. AC unit looks brand new. I bought a mesh cover this year , to keep ac clean and free of debris and cottonwood Alex said it will be even better now placed on completely clean unit. I thought I had done a good job of washing off with hose, but there was a lot blocking vent when he removed sides of unit and cleaned.

Initial service review. AC was acting up, called in a tech, Jeremy, who was very helpful in going over the system, what it is doing, how it is working. System is 45 years old, so Jeremy provided several options for repair or replacement. He was very responsive to questions and worked hard to ensure an excellent level of service. Very happy.Install of new systems is next week, so a follow-up review will be for that aspect of the service.UPDATE : Install of new HVAC and water heater went well, though we had some vent pipe slope issues that took 3 more trips to finally resolve. Very satisfied with maintenance calls so far.UPDATE March 2017: Service calls continue to go well. Staff scheduling by Karen and work by Jeff is all top notch.UPDATE September 2017: Outside AC unit stopped working. Brent G was sent to check it out. Turned out a mouse died and fried the board. :( Brent spent a couple HOURS at the end of a long, hot day getting to that diagnosis. He went the extra mile to provide honest advice once needed fixes were identified. He returned next day to complete the fixes, which were finished quickly. While sad we needed to outlay a chunk of dough to get the systems back up and running, everything else was superb. Very glad we went with Genz-Ryan.UPDATE March 2020: Had Karim out for the furnace checkup. He was great. Excellent ongoing support from Genz-Ryan.UPDATE January 2021: Blake Smedstad did a great job giving the system a once over. He pointed out a few items to address and was quick and efficient.UPDATE August 2021: Had Jeremy Osterbauer out to check on water softener. He alleviated our concerns, identified some needed work, and performed the work efficiently. Very pleasant, as all our interactions have been with Genz-Ryan.UPDATE September 2021 Ben Radavich was thorough and efficient, as well as personable, while working on a furnace clean. Great final interaction with Genz-Ryan, as we've moved out of the service area.

We just moved into our home about 6 months ago and figured we should have our vents cleaned before we start running our AC all summer. We called around a few places and Genz-Ryan seemed to be the best option as they were very helpfulOver the phone and up front about price while scheduling. Jeff and Hayden were out today and were phenomenal. They gave us new homeowners so much good information and walked us the through the whole process. They went above and beyond and were so friendly and personable. A real breath of fresh air these days- literally! Would recommend and will use them again in the future! Thank you!
Updated review: To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I used Genz Ryan in March 2022 for an issue with my furnace. After an hour or more looking at everything, the technician was overheard on the phone with someone saying he couldn't figure out what was going on. Within a short while, I was being told I needed to replaced the control board on my furnace -- for $1300+. I agreed to have it replaced and was also sold on vent cleaning/dryer vent cleaning, to the tune of $1800+ when all was said and done. He also tried to sell me a brand new furnace for $4000 despite not having a clue what was actually wrong with mine and the fact that my issue wasn't major (fan is running continually despite being shut off).The technician was friendly and helpful but also crossed personal boundaries, including asking me for my phone number despite knowing that my husband was deployed (which was very clear, as he had been in my home for several hours and we had several discussions about it).When the day arrived for the vent cleaning, all went fine, I thought. I noticed within a day or two that my dryer was still not functioning as it should have been given that we just had the dryer vent cleaned. I called Genz-Ryan to ask if they could come and check it again. The technician arrived and re-did the cleaning, ultimately telling me that it was snowing the day he came originally and he hadn't looked outside when he did the cleaning. Had he looked outside he would have seen that there is a protective cage over the outdoor opening of the dryer vent, which he had compacted all of the lint into...making it a larger fire hazard for the few weeks it was there. I wasn't impressed, but it was taken care of so I let it go.Fast forward to May 2022 and the same issue I was having with my furnace is still happening. Summer is my busy season so I don't get around to calling until early July to get an appointment scheduled to have the issue looked at, again. I was told they couldn't get me in until the next week, which I understood. I was added to the schedule for 07/14. The day came and I was called and told they weren't able to be there until far past the afternoon time I needed to be done by, so I asked to reschedule to today, 07/20. I got a call again this morning asking if my plans had changed or if it was still a go, and I said today was fine and I needed to be somewhere at 5:00 PM. I received another call around 2:30 saying they weren't able to come today and asked if I can reschedule to NEXT week. Again. It is Wednesday. I understand there are urgent matters/calls but it seems at some point you should stop taking more service calls if you are going to continually ignore the people you have scheduled for certain days. I work for myself, so I have flexibility, but what about people who take off work for such appointments?Overall...unprofessional and utilize tacky sales pitches targeting people who don't know better. If they do actually show up, they'll try to oversell you on products even if they don't know what's wrong. They won't be willing to fix their mistakes. I will not be calling Genz-Ryan again.**Edited to add: You see all of the positive reviews because the technicians specifically ask you to do so so they can receive bonuses for reviews naming them.**Update: No response from anyone regarding this experience. It is good to know customer service, honesty and integrity are a priority for this company.

Alonso was very professional and explained everything he was going to do. He as also showed me before and after pictures, which was very interesting and proved that we needed the services done. I would definitely recommend him for cleaning out your ducts and vents!Only reason did not give 5 stars is that he was supposed to start at 7AM, I had to call and ask where he was, and they said he had training and would be late, even though the day before they confirmed he would start at 7. I believe that is a scheduling issue, not the service tech.It also has happened on another electrical service we had done earlier, where we were scheduled for a Monday, and I had to call and ask where they were, and he wasn't even working that day, and had to reschedule.

We had Sean come out to install a new dedicated circuit in our home for our electric dryer. He was super friendly, helpful, and professional the entire time. Genz-Ryan’s customer service has been excellent everytime.
Replaced failed conventional gas water heater with new one. Next day service. Moved unit to a different location, with disaster pan and expansion tank. Lots of copper water pipe work, duct work, and some gas line work. Expensive, but worth it. Dan did a really clean job. It ended up looking much better than I had anticipated.
I worked with Matt, Zac, and Adam. They were very friendly and professional, walking me through my options, explaining the problem in a clear way, and ultimately replacing my furnace. I was impressed with the text message including a photo and bio so I'd know who to expect! Adam worked very hard and they took extra care to tidy up once the job was done! I'm very happy with the excellent service from start to finish. Thank you!

Matt did a great job. He looked at the water heater and gave us several options at varying price points for replacing it. At no time did we feel pressured into buying at the higher price point.
We had a drain backup in our lower level that we discovered when one of the children came upstairs and nonchalantly explained that she didn't want to get her socks wet so she didn't clean up her art work.Not only was Gary so friendly, he was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. I've managed customer service teams my entire career and EVERYONE at Genz-Ryan was fantastic. I called at 8pm, we determined that it was urgent, but not an emergency and was able to get an appointment the next day. Everyone was communicative, kind, and professional. We'll be using them again and again. WOULD GIVE 10 STARS IF I COULD!
Pete was very knowledgeable and gave us wonderful outings to pick from. He was friendly and helpful. He educated along the way. We were very happy with his assistance in picking a new system now that we're home 24/7.Austin and Trey worked so hard putting in the new system. I never write reviews but I'm extremely frustrated. I have the service contract with GR and have called for a couple of issues with my AC, fridge and dryer. AC wasn't working very well at the beginning of the summer and I called for an appt. They said it would be 30 days until someone could come out so I had to call someone else. They were out in 2 days and fixed a wire that mice had got to. The other issues apparently aren't covered. This is another worthless service deal and they won't let me cancel for 12 months. I'm in month 6 only. I was also charged $800 for them to flush my water heater which is a $250 job. Unreal.

Tristan, our service tech was awesome. On time, professional, and friendly.Loren, in the office, explained my options well which helped me make the right purchase decision.Hugo, the installer was fantastic to work with. He was professional, friendly, and explained everything in detail. He put in a very long day to get everything right and to get our installation functioning today but never lost his good humor. His assistant was also a pleasure to have around.
This is the second time we have had Genz Ryan do work for us. We needed some upgrades to our bathrooms and water softener. Matt the tech gave us 5 or 6 options and explained fully what each would consist of and the prices. He had recommendations on what worked for him and what he thought would work for us. We are delighted with the service he provided and he is coming back next week to do the work. Jeremy was very diligent in fixing our water heater. There was a problem with the pressure relief valve that he solved and he reset the system.
Great service! Our technician arrived first thing in the morning, just as scheduled (even a couple minutes early!). He got right to work with the furnace tune-up. He was patient and answered all of my questions. He didn't seem annoyed, like some service people do. He gave me reassurance that my carbon monoxide levels were low. This was something I had been concerned about. He gave me straight forward information about the quality of various parts of my furnace. He was able to help me learn how to determine the age of my furnace, which I had wanted to know. He seemed very honest and someone I could trust. He also appeared careful and respectful about how he handled equipment and tools, so that he wouldn't damage anything. I really appreciated this because I've had plenty of experiences in the past where things get dinged up when someone comes out to make a service call. I was very happy with the quality of service provided and would strongly recommend this technician to anyone else.
Jeremy did a great job problem solving our water heater issue. He took the time to show us the root cause and the downstream impact. He gave us 5 options to think about and answered all our questions so we could make an informed choice. He also worked to find space in the schedule to move up the repair and get the total solution in place as quickly as possible. As a result we feel good and informed about our choice and confident that we spent money wisely to protect our home investment.

I had a great experience with Dan from Genz-Ryan. He was very professional and was able to work around a really unusual situation (the water shut off valve was below the floor level and had to be accessed from the ceiling below). I loved that all the work was able to happen same-day. I'll definitely call them for our next plumbing project.
Prepaid to have HVAC cleaned on a duplex. They completed one side an skipped the other side and when I called they stated the work was completed, Tennant said it wasn’t so I then asked for photos another several weeks went by with no follow up, when pictures were sent and showed work wasn’t done (employees lied and company backed employee not customer), they finally came out a month later. Administrative headache to have pay a premium on a simple service. Expensive and terrible service.
Genz Ryan came by today complete our furnace installation with a duct cleaning. It was great they could get the dryer duct too as it is a problem piece for us. Showed up right on schedule, worked throughly and completed the project in the allotted time. Glad to have this project complete!
I am extremely pleased with the work of Chris- he was very professional and kept me informed throughout the service process. Indeed I feel thankful to him as I feared that I would have a huge bill. He saved me a lot. Thank you Chris, thank Genz-Ryan.

Overall our experience with Genz-Ryan was GREAT. We had a little snafu with scheduling and communication but Jose was so responsive and accessible to get it sorted out. Steve came out to take a look at what we needed for our AC and thermostat replacement and provided really comprehensive and accessible options that fit our long-term and short-term needs and budget.Lenny, Stephen, and Troy were all fantastic techs who got our new unit and thermostat installed and went above and beyond to walk us through what they did and offered suggestions to get the most life out of our unit and highest efficiency. We are super happy and look forward to working with them in the future!

Had an estimate from Genz-Ryan for our furnace that went down. Lucas came out and was outstanding.Very knowledgeable and honest. We unfortunately, did not go with Genz-Ryan as price was our primary objective during our current circumstances. That said, if quality, knowledge, honesty and exceptional install are your goal - I highly recommend Lucas and team! Lucas is a good on!

They canceled the appointment which put all my other repairs behind several weeks. On the day they did arrive they could not give me a time frame and so I waited at home until 5 in the afternoon. The technician Andrew was great, efficient, friendly and knowledgable. He gave me four different plans to choose from. The Gold Plan being nothing more than what I asked for in the first place. They charged me over a 1,000.00 to install two kitchen lights in a place that was already prepared to take lights. The technician was there less than two hours and charged that amount. 500.00 dollars an hour seems outrageous. When I called the next morning to complain they said, You signed the contract.That is what you pay. I am very disappointed in Genz Ryan and their lack of customer service, What a rip off!

They were knowledgeable, efficient, lots of attention to detail and pleasant to work with. Boilers can be tricky- you want this team working with you. Genz-Ryan employees all do a great job managing customers and challenges of their jobs.If there was a negative point to be made…it would be failure of a circuit board on a Carrier furnace that is two months old at most. I’m curious about the root cause of the problem on a piece of equipment that is so new.Original PostAaron provided our initial, after hours emergency consult when our furnace stopped working in the middle of the night. He expressed concern and a sense of urgency, as it was the first very cold night of the winter season. Aaron did an excellent job explaining all options, providing great advice, and even arranging financing on the spot. He gave us space heaters to use in the interim and scheduled install first thing in the morning.Our service technician, Zach, showed up early and was knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain the installation process and time required for completion. It is obvious he has pride in his work and talked with my wife and I about what was replaced, proper maintenance and replacement part intervals, and answered all of our questions with confidence.The rest of the team worked together like a well-oiled machine, were friendly and considerate, and ensured smooth workflow without delays or errors.Many thanks to Aaron, Zach, Joziah, Steve, Taylor, and the rest of the team involved for a quick turnaround and stress-free experience!

Doug conducted a detailed inspection of our heating system. He was professional and friendly. While he couldn't find anything wrong with our furnace, it was back to running normally, and we felt confident in his conclusion.
Karim took time to explain what he was doing and what he was learning about my 17-19 year old furnace. Nice that he wasn’t pushy but will let me get used to the idea of replacing it next year.He also answered questions about my air exchanger and suggested a good way to clean it. After 11 years, I finally understand when I should run it and how to use it wisely. Will hope he is the tech I get on my next call.

I had a great experience! Tanner was great! He was very tolerant of my multiple interpretations and my crazy busy home. I dread having to set up these appointments and they made it pretty easy to get through. I’ve been a customer for over 10 years and would highly recommend them. They have replaced a furnace and air conditioner for me in the past and it was a great experience also. Joey did a fine job… took his time, gave an estimate on a new system witch I asked for. He diagnosed and repaired the problem which was misdiagnosed. BONFE tech came out and did nothing but say it was the compressor, and I needed a 10k new AC and with furnace would be 18 k and if I waited till 2023, I could tack on another 3 k…, no follow up on pricing or estimate. Very sad, stayed home this weekend to deal with the problem while family went out of town for a family gathering. It was hot and humid for 3 days. Tried texting the tech with the number on his card to discuss two days ago but never heard back… I do not know what else to say. Will not use BONFE ever again! Would not recommend to anyone…by the way, problem was the compressor fan all along… had them out one year ago to replace the same fan, did not replace evidently, hooked on a jump capacitor to get fan to run, filled or topped off Freon for 500 plus dollars… very sad service…. They do respond quickly however…………!

I am highly disappointed with Genz-Ryan in Burnsville MN. I scheduled an appointment for maintenance and a tune-up on my AC. When they set my appointment they did not give me a time frame they just told me they would be by sometime on Monday. Around 3:00 that Monday they called and said they were not going to be able to make it out and needed to reschedule. Reschedule? Like it's no big deal.This is not good customer service. Genz-Ryan obviously does not value their customer's or the customer's time.I put everything on hold for the day thinking that they were going to make it out to take a look at my AC. It's hard enough to clear a full day to wait on someone or a company and then by the middle of the day have them say they're not going to show up?. I'm a small business owner myself and I would never do this to a customer.If you value your time don't bother with Genz-Ryan of Burnsville because they will not value you as a customer

I was satisfied with my overall experience, but was annoyed at their marketing about prices and communication on services. What they advertise on their website and as specials was NOT true to the actual price given. In addition, I asked while booking if bathroom vents were included, and I was told yes. However, when my technician finished and I asked him about this, he said they never do them. I would have appreciated knowing that up front, especially given that I was already paying more then what was advertised as “unlimited vents”. On the positive end, they have great communication otherwise and have fast booking and convenient updates.

Andrew was great! At my house by 8am. Very knowledgeable of the system and gave me clear and pointed recommendations of what to do next. In November of 2021 I called Roto Rooter to unplug a clogged drain - not only did they fail to clean the drain but in the process they got their cleaning cable stuck in my drain pipe. They claimed my pipe was broke under the concrete and they needed to dig up the floor to fix it for $4,500 (I told them no I don't think so). Recently, I called Genz-Ryan and they sent out their service tech, Gary. He spent 2-3 hours and finally got the cable unknotted/removed and drain cleaned. He wouldn't quit until it was fixed. Of course I'll call Gary @ Genz-Ryan if I have any drain problems in the future!Don

Justin was assigned our AC/HVAC maintenance and did a thorough job. He was very personable and very open to questions we had.
They were the HVAC company that installed the system in my house when it was built a few years back, so I thought I would also use them for maintenance. This summer an associate came out was friendly and knowledgeable. The items I asked quoted were extremely over market. I did decide to sign-up for their service plan as it allowed for a spring and fall tune-up at a very reasonable cost. I scheduled my fall tune-up far in advance for a date of October 14, the evening before the appointment they called and cancelled. They rescheduled me for November 13. Then, they called the nigh before the appointment and cancelled on my again. This is a bit of a challenge given I make special arrangements for these to ensure I am home or somebody else is home for day of service. I have tried to cancel and be refunded for the service, but they insist I need to talk to someone who was not in the office twice now when I called. I will be looking for a more reliable company to provide my service in the future.
Only giving one star because I have to. Moved to a brand new development 3 years ago. 14 homes were all brand new at the time. Genz Ryan was the subcontractor for the builder. One homeowner has experienced serious plumbing issues resulting in multiple sewer back up issues. This issue continued for more than a year and subsequent backups. This summer 3 homeowners have had to have their central air conditioning units serviced as all of the refrigerant leaked out. This should not happen in 3 short seasons. The (non Genz Ryan) HVAC repairmen diagnosed the same problem with all the homes: the valves/caps were not tightened enough which caused the refrigerant to leak out until it was exhausted. Totally unacceptable! Coincidence? Doubtful. Makes one wonder if this shoddy workmanship was done intentionally assuming these homeowners would call Genz Ryan to come back out to service their unit. One did, but they did not get caught up in the Genz Ryan scam which was an estimate of $2200 to try and diagnose a leak. The very next day a different repairman came out and diagnosed the problem in about 10 mins, added refrigerant and was on his way. Steer clear of these folks.
Genz-Ryan is an excellent company and Chris, one of their techs is very knowledgeable and helpful, a true professional.I obviously value my home and want the best service and appropriate HVAC equipment for it, as I’m sure everyone else out there does, and I would give him and the company my highest recommendation towards accomplishing that goal.
Finally made the wise decision to have a humidifier installed on my furnace! Karim was courteous, efficient, and gave an excellent tutorial. He also set up reminders on my thermostat that I had no idea were an option! Thank you Karim and Genz-Ryan!!

3/5/22 update. GR reached out to schedule HVAC tuneup, so gave them a second chance. The tech said: I'm very thorough, I'll check your dryer vent. After he was done I asked if he put the dryer back together. He said he did. I was in the middle of a work phone call (working from home today), so I didn't inspect his work. My mistake. Ductwork from dryer to wall left disconnected from dryer and wall and the dryer not put back where it was. Now I have to pull out the dryer and reconnect the ductwork. I hate companies that create more work for me when I hire them.24/7 emergency service is a voicemail, even for someone with a monthly service agreement. A message left at 3 am when my furnace went out when it was below 0 outside, wasn't followed up on until 10 am. Good thing a relative of mine helped troubleshoot and we were able to fix it on our own.In fact, I will probably cancel that service agreement. It is supposed to include two service visits per year and they never proactively schedule with me. I always have to call to request one.

Why did a representative from your company try to charge $5000+ for a simple water heater replacement? Not only is that outrageous, this person should be charged as a criminal; how many older retirees did this person take advantage of saying “oh yeah, we can take care of this same day.” We had ours replaced for less than $1400 next day. Absolute rip off, some criminal trying to take advantage of my family? Try again. Better Business Bureau claim? Absolutely. Get back to me and rationalize $5000.
My experience with Genz-Ryan was a refreshing change in Customer Care and Service. Every contact made me feel I was important and all my questions were addressed in a professional manner. My Kudos to Tyler and the entire staff.

Genz Ryan has been to our house 4 separate times trying to solve a furnace problem and leaking exhaust over 3 weeks. The technicians tried several things but all if them seemed very inexperienced and we’re guessing at the issue. After thousands of dollars spent and hole in our ceiling with no resolution, we called a different provider. The new company solved the problem in 2 hours for minimal cost.
We needed a shut off valve installed behind our stove. Joey came on time, took the time to explain my options, and the work only took about 45 minutes. Very happy, would use Joey again

Hugo Richard did a fantastic installation job. I should know because I installed the A/C that he replaced today. My install was 27 years ago so a few things have changed. But what hasn't changed is basic human courtesy. Hugo is not only a skilled technician but he is also a gentleman. I've been a Genz-Ryan customer for over 30 years and I will say Hugo is the most patient installer that you have ever sent to my home. It helped me to make my decision and I selected the one I thought best fit my needs. I have a sense of relief now going into the winter. It was a big decision to make but I feel that Genz-Ryan is working to help me keep my home comfortable for years to come.Ryan was helpful as well. He checked all the electrical work and suggested someone things for me to check into that were helpful in protecting my equipment.Sean helped me with a surge suppresser for the electrical box and confirmed that my home was up to code.Steve was great he replaced a motion sensor floodlight at the back of the house. I expected the repair would take several hours but Dan was done with the repair in what I consider record time. The pricing is unbelievably high. I got charged about $300/hr on my job which was about 3.5 hours, which I would say was a more basic repair, replacing 2 old water valves that had easy access and were 12 inches apart. I had the city shut off the water before, and they said that would of been $700 more if they had to call. Also recorded it as emergency, when it wasn't, I just filled a cancelled slot the next morning.... They say they have an upfront charge, but don't explain how they get that price. They just show you the amount and make you sign off without explaining how they came to that and if you don't sign, you still are charged a fee. They do the same quality of work as other plumbers. I would go elsewhere and look at many other lower options... even if it is a real emergency..... Also had them quote a water softener install that was outrageous as well. I guess some lessons are worth overpaying on.... It feels like the pricing has a commission factor in it, but we will never know.

I have their maintenance plan for my HVAC, they send technicians with trainees, during fall, after tune-up, they forgot to keep the humidifier drain I place resulting in water drain on to floor and damaging my carpet.This spring, they did my AC Tune up (again they sent a trainee along), they forgot to put the fuse back for AC unit, hence cutting the power, my AC is ruining for over 23 hours daily and no cold air, I had to figure the problem (since they can’t make appointment for another week, Busy ripping someone off, I guess.)And the scheduling team mentioned that they can send an emergency HVAC on call person to visit the same day, a couple of hours later someone else calls to inform that they can’t come till a week and the third party service reps some times give the customers wrong promises (if they know that why can’t they be trained)

The installation guru, Nick, arrived on time, was kind, and communicative throughout the day as he and the installation team worked tirelessly for 12 hours to get everything updated and replaced. Jermoy was helpful as the final touches were wrapped up; talking us through how to use the new equipment and thermostat.The Genz team is kind, professional and definitely experts at what they do! These guys did a great job performing multiple repairs on a complicated job, including repairing a faulty boiler, installing an indirect water heater and water softener, replacing broken pipe under the concrete, and clearing out all the drains. They won't be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. They will get the job done right.

Like many of us over the years I have had to update important items in my homes like a water heater, water softener and other key appliances. This process with Genz-Ryan is interesting to say the least and I was speechless after the in home service call. They are slick trying to automate everything from the appointment, sales tactics, bid proposal, etc.. Then propose a vague pricing model, first showing the monthly payments vs the total, there is not even the actual product (or part numbers) listed on the bid. I asked why and there is not good reason. Far worse than this lack of detail and what I would call a shady sales tactic is the pricing was almost 3 times what it should be. I wanted a basic water softener to swap out my bad softener which I already knew what the cost was from Home Depot, LOWES, Fleet Farm, ect.. I looked at the bid and said what? You want to charge me $2k to install simple water softener.. The response was yeah that's what it costs we are licensed plumbers. Then on top of this they wanted to sell me a water heater which I also knew the ballpark price and this combo bid was even crazier than just the softener bid (like $4,800 for just installation). I am appalled at how this process felt and what was proposed as I know 100% this was not right. I am writing this review to protect someone who might be in dire need of getting their home fixed and the sales pitch of we can do it today then getting severely overcharged.

I bought a new home from Lennar and Genz Ryan did the Plumbing, AC for my house. It’s been 2 months in my new home and I already had basement water leakage, AC stopped working, hot water didn’t come for first couple of days, pump sump wasn’t fixed properly etc etc. we are punished to live in hot temperatures as they take 3 weeks to fix any HIGH Priority issues. Never recommend and poor quality is under statement. I can’t wait to be done with my warranty time and hire a better company to take a care of my heating, AC and plumbing.
We used their emergency service to fix a burst pipe last winter. The work they did included replacing our outside faucet for a hose hookup. Come summertime, we realized they used a non-functioning part to replace the faucet. They came back and fixed it so we can at least use the faucet again. But it’s crooked and sprays water all over the place. They did not do great work, especially for the amount of money we paid them. Won’t be calling them again.

I needed a simple toilet flapper replacement and was charged $557.46, this is price gouging plain and simple. The technician was in our home for 90 minutes. Gave 3 repair options and we went with the cheapest option. Assuming they charge the high end rate of $200/hr for labor, that means they are charging over $200 for a $10 part. The $99 service charge was waived because work was being done. I would never recommend this company to anyone and will never be taking my business back to them.

Had to have our furnace inspected before the sale of our home. Unfortunately there was a part that was found that needed to be replaced but it was a obviously cracked part. They are prompt to respond, carefully look at your issue/issues and provide you with options for repair so that you can decide what fits into your budget. The plumber that came to my home was awesome. He was courteous, kind, paid special attention to following safety and social distancing guidelines appropriate to the situation, and when he left, the areas he worked were cleaner than when he got there. I highly recommend their services.

If you’re in new construction where Genz-Ryan did the install, they are pretty much a nightmare to deal with. Given our home was built during COVID I expected there would be things to address (HVAC issues, poor plumbing runs/water supplies), but what I did not expect from a household name was an all out effort to avoid warranty work. Multiple cancellations and no-shows for all-day open ended appointments. Constantly calling and texting to confirm, making sure we’re home for our appointment that is now the second or third attempt. If you miss that call or text because you’re getting yourself or the kids ready for work/school, or you’re in a meeting they cancel on you again. Last week I took the day off of work to ensure I wouldn’t miss them, they cancelled at 2:30 PM and rescheduled for Monday. Never showed for the reschedule or bother to call and let me know they were not coming. Just completely disrespectful of my time. My experience in our neighborhood is not unique but not as severe as others. They should be ashamed of some of the plumbing runs they installed.Our experience and that of our neighbors, on top of the workmanship, has ensured I will NEVER use Genz-Ryan for service beyond the warranty period. Just a lack of accountability and poor showing overall.

Service was great and friendly but they don’t show prices nor give quotes until assessment. When I bought my house, the last owner installed accordion style pipes under my kitchen sink and the technician came and installed it with compliant pipes. They also have a subscription service they try to get you to sign up for. The service charges a monthly fee and if you cancel or change your mind on it they will charge you the whole year’s rate for the package. Just for the work that was done for me since I’m a noob, the price I paid was over $200 which was even too high in my opinion, but they gave a free water heater flush also.

I am very pleased with my experience with Genz-Ryan. The phone support is always pleasant and comforting.Technician Ryan explained everything he planned to do and possible issues that may arise for older homes, like mine He was efficient and able to troubleshoot problems. He had to return to resolve one issue and wanted to make sure the job was satisfactory before he left. Thumbs up 👍 for good service.
Another hostile service call. Two hours after my wife was instructed to call and get the bad review worked out with customer service the team at Genz Ryan was unwilling to address the repeated no shows and failure to send ordered product. They told me to call them today and this is what I got.This company has received my payments for the Elite service plan and has flaked out for the fourth time on being willing to service my unit or deliver merchandise paid for under the plan. In fact this time they wanted me to pay another $189 dollars. Well, what is the likelihood they would have showed up? I really want to leave a half star or zero star review at this point.

We had an emergency Toilet overflow issue fairly late at night. They let us know the soonest they could be here was the next morning. We were pleasantly surprised with a text that Matt was on his way along with a bit about him and a photo. Matt came right on time, and listened to what happened, took a thorough look and found a even more pressing issue. Dan from Genz Ryan was absolutely amazing! He was very detailed and gave us all the information we needed to fix the toilet leak, amongst other problems that came up because of the leak. He was easy to talk to and made sure we understood what was going on! He is a nice guy and cares a lot about the quality of his work!
All the technicians that I dealt with were awesome! They did great work and were all very friendly people.However, the scheduling was a major headache and they sent people in for the same job that was already completed. I think the people doing the the scheduling could probably pay more attention to the notes or listen to the customers. I had to take more time off than necessary in order to get everything done, but at least it was done well and correctly. Overall I would recommend, but the scheduling was a little frustrating.

I had them replace a garbage disposal, they did a fine job, communicated and all that, but the pricing is outrageous. they charge a 99 fee to come out and quote the job, and to replace my garbage disposal it’ was 1400…..I asked what the cost of the unit and labor was but they were unable to provide that breakout. I needed it installed, so I advised to proceed. I looked up the unit after they left and the actual garbage disposal was $150, which means I paid a WHOOPING 1250 for a 1 1/2 hour job. That’s 600 an hour.

By far the worst company I’ve ever used. Cost way more then was expecting, they didn’t do what I thought I paid for, they did months of work without getting permits, taken over 8 months to complete. I had to call once a week to see what the hell was going on with my project. I had to call and schedule everything, the work, the inspections, etc. was told someone would call me back and no one ever did.Do not use this company under any circumstances!If it let me give them 0 stars I would!Update: today is the day my radiators we’re supposed to be installed, and guess what! They aren’t!They started this job in March and did not apply for any permits! They have taken my money already (a lot!) and can’t complete the work because the permits are not finalized. I called the city at the beginning of September and they had not received any applications for said work. So they did work on my house for over 6 months without applying for permits.This company is a joke! Never use them!

We had such a great experience today with duct cleaning performed by Joziah from Genz Ryan. Joziah was on time, professional, did the job thoroughly and efficiently, and was courteous and friendly. I am relieved that the job was performed by somebody that knew what to do and there were no issues performing the work whatsoever. I am so happy to know that the ducts are clean. The job did not take nearly as long as I have had in the past other companies. I would ask for Joziah by name if you are looking for a great technician. He said he also performs furnace repair and maintenance as well.

Between months of August-October 2022, and June 2023 Genz Ryan technicians, Lucas and Mason, managed the annual tune-ups of my AC and Furnace. Lucas was thorough and skilled and Mason, very new to Genz Ryan, was equally professional, skilled, thorough and top notch in customer service. These guys always respond quickly and get the job done. I know sometimes you think the price is a little high, but they back it up with service and just plain getting the job done. Thanks to Tony for getting it running, Aaron for setting me up and Blake and Tim for putting the new units in. And hey , Nick came back to get the charge on. Good 2 go!Adding to this....hey, the system was charged in February, of course it was low, Jaymeson got it taken care of, no worries. Stayed extra to make sure there were no leaks. System is back to normal. Update, a year later, Lucas is out doing the inspection, everything is still in top shape!

He investigated a water leak and gave many options for needed repairs and replacements of plumbing issues around my home. He respected that I was only able to choose to fix the most urgent things. First of all I spoke with 2 different women for a tech to visit. They were so friendly and efficient , that I felt good about the company I had hired to come out out for a furnace check up. The tech sent me his picture by email and arrived on time. He gave my furnace a very through check up and replaced a defective humidifier control. I signed up for a yearly check up for $60 and that saved me some money even on this visit. So I think it was a good deal. This was overall a good experience working with Gens-Ryan.
Had a tech out for an annual check of furnace. Tech knew his stuff, was very friendly and thorough. Overwhelmingly positive.My complaints would be that I felt like he interrupted me when I was trying to answer questions he had for our family. Like I was not answering fast enough. Also, (and I'm sure this is Genz-Ryan pushing the rep to do this) the whole visit felt like a way to sell our family things that were either straight upgrades or un-necessary. Thousands of dollars worth of upgrades, and trying to convince me why these would be helpful. I found it very distasteful for an annual maintenance call.

Genz-Ryan owned a counter top company called Inspiration Design Center, it closed 14 months ago, approximately 1 week after I spent $3800 on new countertops and undermount sink. The installation process was a complete disaster, cutting the counter top wrong to not having the correct countertop. It took the installers 3 attempts to get the countertops installed. I finally had to settle on a different pattern than what I originally purchased. The undermount sink became detached from the countertop, I called Genz-Ryan to see if they can fix it or suggest something. A big nope, we don't operate that business anymore. When it was time to take $3800 from me, Genz-Ryan operated that business just fine. Even if we did operate that business, we only warranty undermount sinks for 12 months. I can not even fathom how a family owned company will not stand behind their workmanship on the installation process. After Genz-Ryan closed the countertop company, I was very close to disputing the charge on my credit card and buying countertops somewhere else, now I know I made 3800 mistakes not doing so.A very disappointed ex customer!!!

Matt was here for several hours and solved my air conditioning problem. He was very knowledgeable, and noticed maintenance that needed doing and did what needed to be done and what could be done at a later date. He took time to answer my questions and explained things very well and was pleasant to work with.
Shane was wonderful, i had no problems with him, he was very professional, and should recieve 5 starts.My complaint is that you send your tec guys out with out the proper equipment, i have been mopping water up from my main laundry room main drain since he left this morning, i cannot use any Faucets in my house now because of water backing up, i also paid alot of money for a job that was not completed, and pushed back until the next day, due to the technician not having the proper tools to fix our problem. i communicated this two ways, 1st was by making a appointment via your website, explaining my problem and then I received a call the next day and explained my problem again, somewhere this did not get communicated correctly to the technicians.im going to have to think long and hard about using the company again. i have had no complaints about the jobs we hired you to do for us, until now.
Gary came out because our drain tile system in the basement was blocked. He explained what he was doing. Showed us the footage and let us make an informed decision. He was thorough and didn't leave until the job was done. He even came back the following morning to do one more clean out to ensure the chemicals used had done their job. It was expensive but way cheaper than a whole new install. I would recommend.

Joey did a great job for us. Our furnance went out during the night. We were very worried about the house getting so cold that we might have frozen pipes and other damage. Genz-Ryan had someone at our house in 2 hours. Joey did a great job, he was very thorough in his analysis and our options. He even offered to contact the home warranty company to help get our furnace replaced and offered to have it installed the next morning. Of course, #American Home Shield refused to work with us and will only fix the furnace after their contractor approves, who can't be here for 2 days.

Genz Ryan wouldn't provide us with a line item breakdown of the quote telling us what the breakdown cost of the service provided, just a final cost. i would like to know exactly what I'm paying for when you pay $6600.00 for a ac unit and install the customer should have the right to know what the money is going for. Will not use them again or refer them to another customer. I'm guessing it's because their prices are outrageous.

Bait and switch, and constant harassment after service.I made an appointment because I was assured the techs know how to do repairs, only to have them suggest replacement only. At rediculous pricing, in the $6500 range for a single a/c unit, replacement, mind you they're not running power or line sets, swapping a unit outside and installing an a coil inside.They are not techs they are scammy replacement con artist, wasn't too sell you highly over priced units, instead of doing actual work.Then they continue to harass me with unsolicited text, phone calls and request for reviews, here's your review.

Excellent service, from the first call to the last check of the furnace! We called in the evening after we came home to a cold house and were given a timeframe for the next day. I was pleasantly surprised to get a text bright and early that they were on their way!Joey arrived on time and was friendly and very knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose the issues and work with us to find the best option for repairs. All options were presented upfront and with costs and benefits clearly stated. After we decided, he was able to get the parts and finish the repairs within two hours for a reasonable cost. From arrival at 7am to a tested, working furnace by 10am!I could not be more satisfied with the company or with Joey. Will be calling them in the future (hopefully far in the future, haha) for any issues! Highly recommended.

The whole generals team helped our family get a complete heating air and water filtration system installed. we went with a high-efficiency mini split system to help offset the cost of heating in the winter and providing us with air-conditioning as we have no duct system. We also installed a new 95% efficient boiler which also acts as a water heater.Our water is very hard and the water softener we had was not preventing buildup within the pipes. They flushed all the pipes, replaced water softener and added a water filtration system. The projection is my bills will be about 50% of what I am currently paying and with the rising cost of natural gas and electricity it should continue to offset as these rise. It was a little more than I wanted to do at once, but at the end of the day me and my family will be good for the next 20 years. Thanks GezRyan!

Service technicians did a fine job. They were on time, cleaned up after themselves. I have no issues with the actual install. However, getting a quick response from the factory regarding rebates, etc. is their downfall. Excuse after excuse is all I heard. So and so should have done this, etc. They told me one thing and didn't follow up when they said they would. If you want quick answers and want to work with a company who is efficient and interested in the customer's concerns, I think would shop elsewhere!
Tyler arrived on time, wearing a mask and put booties on right away to protect our floor. He explained everything in a way that was informative and not condescending. He also pointed out areas in my home for possible improvement, but was not pushy or overly aggressive with his sales tactics. I'm very pleased with the service, and everything is running smoothly.Update from original post 8/18. We have since used Genz -Ryan for duct cleaning and received the same great service. They showed up in time and we're very friendly and professional. I was working from home at the time and they did a great job accommodating my schedule and necessary business calls. We will use them again.
We’ve had the same technician, Karim, two times in a row now. He listened carefully to our concerns for which we are most grateful. He is very capable and professional, but also very friendly and engaging. Genz Ryan is fortunate to have him as an employee. He is a great representative of the company.
We had Karim out to provide an estimate for replacing our furnace. He was amazing to work with, incredibly profession, personable, and knowledgeable. Their service team is amazing and the install was quick and painless. They are clear about pricing and take the time you need to learn and understand what you are paying for and why, so you can make an informed decision. Today I received a complimentary electrical inspection because of the maintenance plan I have with them. Mark (technician) was professional, friendly & thorough in his inspection. He explained things in layman terms & provided sustainable upgrade suggestions. His level of expertise is excellent & he is an asset to the Genz-Ryan family. The only drawback, through no fault of his own, was his inability to get some of the necessary materials in a timely manner; however, he was ultimately able to complete the upgrades during the same visit which was wonderful.

I don't like this Company. As their tag line says. They dont respect someones business. I called in early October to schedule a furnace tune-up my appointment was suppose to be October 26th. They called the day before and said they needed to re-schedule but couldnt do it till January. WHAT- really - so i called another company and they were here in less then 2 weeks and were very professional and appreciated my business. Which Genz-Ryan didnt want. Dan
While we understand that it is an extremely difficult time for AC repairs and mainetance due to the heat wave, the scheduling process needs to be re-evaluated. Our AC stopped working on 6/14 and we contacted multiple HVAC repair services to determine when we could first get serviced. Genz-Ryan responded promptly and said they could get us on the schedule for Thursday, 6/16, which we then took and did not schedule with anyone else. On Thursday we received a call letting us know that they were busy and we would have to be rescheduled for Monday, 6/20. On Monday afternoon we received the same call letting us know we would have to be rescheduled for Tuesday, 6/21, due to issues with the service techs being backed up. Once again, on Tuesday, 6/21, we received a call that they were once again busy and are now no longer available until Thursday, 6/30. So we were cancelled on 3 times and are now scrambling to find someone else to come help as we have no AC and the temperatures have been in the mid 80s to high 90s all week and we cannot be in our house without sweating. The scheduling process needs to be fixed as overpromising and underdelivering is horrible to experience.

Alex was fantastic. He was very professional, thorough, and solved our problem.However, the pricing is outrageous. In addition to another charge, we were charged $189 to put a small piece of foam around a pipe, which took less than 10 minutes. I will be looking elsewhere for future plumbing needs.Update: I was told I would be receiving a partial refund as part of their membership program within about 3 business days. It has now been almost 2 weeks, and still no refund. I called 2 days ago and was told I would be contacted by someone, which never happened. Terrible company!Second Update: Alex was extremely helpful in resolving the billing issues. 5 stars for Alex! Customer service and billing/accounting -- 1 star.

LT did a fabulous job of fixing the furnace issue . He was extremely courteous and thorough with his examination, finding the problem and fixing it . Very happy with the service provided.However we were very disappointed with the schedulers and their unwillingness to give us a time slot for the technician to come out to the house . Danny of of the schedulers kept repeating the same narrative of whenever the technician would be ready he’d reach out to us. It was extremely frustrating to even have a proper conversation with them . David unclogged the garbage disposal at my moms house, which had some glass shards in it. The other option was to replace it. As I don’t have my tools with me, I couldn’t do it myself. David was very professional and polite. He did a good job and was quick. I would recommend him to anyone.
Genz-Ryan as a company was responsive and professional. The pricing was also reasonable. Dan in particular was knowledgeable, nice, and very easy to work with. He was punctual, efficient, and the work was done well. We are extremely pleased with the work and would 100% use Genz-Ryan again in the future, and will be recommending them to our friends and family as needed!
They charge $90 dollars to come out and bid for a new air conditioning system and then expect you to make a all day open appointment. Morning? Afternoon? No ALL day. I was able to call another company I used in the past and get a set FREE 3PM appointment. I guess they wanted my business more than Genz Ryan does. This company showed up exactly at 3. Bid the job very fairly in writing and will be here to install it on a date and time of my choice. Now that is customer service! NO I don't want to call a customer service representative. You have no customer service skills. You don't have a free estimate, you return it IF service is done. No you didn't have some one come before noon, they called me at 11:45 to tell me they would be there in 30 or 40 minutes. Then when I tried to make a new appointment I was told it would be a open ended all day appointment, or I had to wait until June 7th to get a 4 hour afternoon window. So I call BS.
Dalton was phenomenal, I had been without heat for at least 17 hours. He came by walked me through what needed to be done. How he was going to fix the issue. I appreciate his customer service, and polite personality. I look forward to doing more business with Genz Ryan.

Since 6/19, we have had (and continue to have) the single most negative experience we have any had with a business, with Genz-Ryan relating to the replacement of our heating and cooling system. We have tried to get Genz-Ryan to correct the harm they caused. But while they have said they would refund the amounts due back to us, they have failed to do so. We may still need to proceed with contacting the MN Attorney General, Department of Commerce, and Better Business Bureau.In brief:-Genz-Ryan’s sales team initially persuaded us to allow them to charge $27,930.99 to our credit card for a suite of high-end, high-efficiency furnace and heat pump products because they represented the products would be the highest-end products manufactured by the brand Amana. Genz-Ryan also represented that we would receive that manufacturer’s lifetime warranty, and a separate Genz-Ryan warranty, that would ensure we would never have to pay to repair or replace the products (if that became necessary).-The charge also included several thousand dollars for an air filtration system Genz-Ryan’s salespeople said would make our air clean and safe. Then, we did research and discovered that the system would create significant quantities of ozone in our home, and directed Genz-Ryan to remove that system from our project and refund us the associated sums. Despite promising to refund thousands of dollars for that system, Genz-Ryan has failed to issue that refund.-Furthermore, after charging our credit card $27,930.99, Genz-Ryan promised to provide us with a pre-install written invoice identifying the specific high-end Amana products for which they had charged us. We diligently attempted to make Genz-Ryan prove that they were actually going to install the specific products they had “sold” to us. Genz-Ryan then failed to identify the products prior to install. They also failed to deliver the products to us early, for us to see in person, as promised.-On the day of install, we noticed that Genz-Ryan appeared to have installed different equipment than what they had promised. As confirmed by the technician on-site (and later by the company itself), the equipment they had installed was from a different brand we had never heard of and never agreed to purchase. This brand also did not carry the warranty for which we had been charged. When confronted on why they had done so, Genz-Ryan installers said that their manager had told them to install the different products because he had called us and we had authorized him to do so. Those assertions were completely false. We never authorized Genz-Ryan to charge our credit card or do our project wherein cheaper and different products with inferior warranties that we did not want would be installed, without our knowledge.-After originally claiming the different products were “basically the same,” Genz-Ryan managers eventually acknowledged that they do in fact sell those products for thousands of dollars less than the products they had promised to (and charged to) us.-After Genz-Ryan installed the unauthorized furnace/heat pump without our consent, those products immediately failed, and remained in a dysfunctional state for several days with 90-degree temps.-We have been trying to work with management to remedy the significant financial harm caused by their inaccurate representations, lack of disclosure, and unmet promises. We have asked Genz-Ryan to correct their errors by removing the unauthorized equipment they installed without our consent that we never agreed to purchase, and by refunding the large sums they charged us for products we did not receive.-Finally, the customer service has been the worst we have experienced. We have been routinely ignored and hung up on by Genz-Ryan’s management. When they have committed to getting us an answer by a specific time, they have not done so. They have acknowledged they need to make the situation right and will refund us, but they have not, despite our repeated efforts to get them to do so.

Our Tech Andrew Folz was very professional and educational. He ran a new gas line for converting electric to gas range. He had an electrician come out right away to change the outlet from 240 to 110. Would hire them again in a heartbeat. Great service.
Aaron was amazing. Very professional and great at explaining my options. Tyler had come the day before and was equally nice. They were able to replace my furnace the next day. Both super nice and professional. I had a great experience.

Our old house had some issues with the electrical system. Sean came out and spent the entire day repairing and replacing outlets and switches, fixing a problem with the gfci system, wiring a switch for the bedroom light, securing the ungrounded wires under the kitchen sink - at some point the garbage disposal was removed but they left the wires - not really ideal, replacing a defunct thermostat, and more. He was very friendly and professional, did a great job explaining all the issues and problems and goofiness of our electrical system and which things were most in need of repair. We had some plumbing repairs done by Genz-Ryan last year and they did a fantastic job too. Genz-Ryan is always my first choice when I need something repaired.
Today I had my furnace checked to make sure everything was all good approaching this winter season. Blake was the service man, he was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. He was very thorough and checking all of the components of my furnace. I appreciate him pointing out that my fan on my furnace was something I needed to keep my eye on as it was starting to “wine“whining”He change the filter on my April air humidifier and noticed that my water softener was out of salt u2020 was a distracting year so it was reassuring to have Genz Ryan double check these items for me.
Very impressed with the timely response. We were able to get our AC repaired the same day on one of the hottest days of the summer. Dalton was very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. Genz-Ryan seems to be more interested in you and your needs versus selling you things you don't need. This is rare in this industry, keep it up!

Rescheduled like 7 times, and still no show, to a level where I had to just cancel their service. Originally scheduled for Sep 2022, and kept rescheduling and today is 1/23/2023, and tune up is still not done. They kept pushing the dates on the day.They give the entire day of window, not even a 2 or 4 hour window, where I have to stay home all day waiting for a call, and then they call around 4 or 5pm saying that their technicians are tied up and cant come.When I tried escalating this, they promised me an 8 am (give or take 45 minutes) appointment today and waited the entire day, called them 3 times today, and still got rescheduled. Very unprofessionally handled, I would never use or refer them again. If they are short staffed and run into this issue over and over, they need to staff more people or dont take appointments at all to fulfill existing appointments. I can understanding this happening like once, but 7 times?

Do not use these people. I initially had scheduled an appointment to have them come look at replacing my AC, boiler, and water heater. I made it very clear that I have a high velocity AC system and I take off work for them to come look at everything. About an hour before they are supposed to show up, I get a call from a tech telling me they don't work on high velocity systems (again, even though I specifically asked before making the appointment) and that he wasn't going to come out. I said I still need a boiler and water heater so if they want to check that out since my day was already wasted, they could.So guy comes out, with a trainee, and he spends about an hour showing the new guy the way around the units, but doesn't really offer me much in the way of service. Then they leave and I never hear back from them regarding a quote or anything, even after I tried contacting them again. Fast forward a couple of months and I get constant calls that they somehow go straight to voicemail asking about if I would like my AC serviced? Seriously? DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!

Found out our AC system had been leaking since it was installed by Genz Ryan a little less than 3 years ago. It just stopped cooling a couple of weeks ago. Though it took some doing, we got Genz Ryan out to fix it today and even though it was past the 2 year warranty we had on the installation, they covered it and now we have A/C again. Joey was our technician and he was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Really happy with their service. They were on time, they sent notifications before the service. They even asked us if we wanted them to have masks. Gave us an overview of what the problems were with our ac. Gave us a lot of options and recommendations. Tyler was and exceptional rep to send out because he was an Installer in the past and understood the complexities of an older home and a boiler system. He gave me options and lots of information. Our hot water heater stopped working and we were unable to relight the pilot light so a repair was needed. We contacted Genz-Ryan and the next day they arrived as promised. The technician did a great job. He was very professional and was able to give us options that included repairing to replacing the hot water heater. I will use this service more in the future.

Scheduled an appointment with them to come out anytime before 12. Waited and waited for someone to come out or even a phone call to advise they were running behind... 3 hours after the scheduled appointment not not even a phone call. I ended up calling and having to leave a message. Got a call back probably 45 min later telling me they needed to reschedule. I made an appointment 4 days prior and took off work to accommodate there availability. The lack of communication and professionalism is definitely something they should work on if they want to maintain customers.

I had new smoke detectors installed throughout our home. Troy B was very prompt arriving at the time promised and his customer service was excellent. He was respectful and made sure I understood what he was doing and made sure everything was done to my satisfaction. Genz-Ryan has wonderful communication. They text appointments when scheduled and text when techs are on the way and who the tech doing the work will be with their bio. They do quality work and are professional.
I used GENZ Ryan today after replacing all my switches in the house and screwing something up. Jesse J. Came out and was great. Good value for how long things took. I told him my house wired strangely. He took the time to walk me through how everything is wired as some of my labels were labeled incorrectly and non logical wiring throughout the house. Also gave me several options on the projects I was wanting to do for install. I will definitely use these guys again.

My wife and I had a bid to replace two outside lights along with two dimmer switches for interior space. Even with us providing the dimmer switches the bid was nearly $600! Keep in mind that is is maybe 45-75 minutes worth of work. I asked the tech what the hourly rate was and he would not answer. He also tried to sell us a whole house surge protection package that was over $2000 for our newer construction home. The worst part was after not agreeing to the work, we still had to pay a $99 trip charge. Insulting. We found another licensed electrician to do the work for $200. Stay away from this outfit.
We had a free Electrical checkup and a few items were suggested to repair. They were not hard sell on anything on the list which I appreciated. We ended up having a few things done and then actually added a few things that we needed done but never had time so we requested they be added to the quote. The technician ended up spending 2 days working on all the things we needed done and he did an Awesome Job,We were very happy with our technician and his professional friendly attitude, he was great at explaining every item he was doing. Over all great experience
The technician, Anthony, did an outstanding job. Notable was his thoroughness which seemed to be a result of his deep knowledge and experience.
We had a leak in our garage ceiling which we know is in the same vicinity as where our master bath would be on the 2nd fl. I appreciated that Tom took his time to diagnose the situation and kept us updated on his thought process. Once he figured out where the leak was coming from he gave us a quotation of how much the job was going to cost. It wasn’t cheap but I’mglad he got the job done.He communicated well from diagnostics to repair. He made sure we knew what he was doing so no surprises especially when it came to the cost.I would highly recommend Tom and Genz Ryan.

Wish I could rate their actual service. I scheduled a plumbing repair last week for today. They called me at 11 and told me they were running late, then I didn’t hear from them again. I called them at 3:00 and was informed they wouldn’t be coming at all. I was then told their next available reschedule was 8 days from now. Unreal. I Took the day off today be home for the repair and was offered nothing other than a “sorry”. Wonder if I would have been charged anything if I had no showed them instead of the other way around?

Tom came out to take care of our outdoor faucet shutoff valve that was leaking. Replaced the existing knobs with ball valves like we asked and they are excellent! Looks great, works great, and much easier to use! Thanks so much!

While we were traveling, we had our in-laws watching the house. We were informed of an issue that needed immediate attention. After signing some digital forms and allowing for proxy decision making David came out and assessed the problem. He was able to determine the situation and present a variety of options we could choose from. He got our water running again and made the appropriate arrangements to have to job completed as efficiently and quickly as possible. We now are back to normal.
Anthony was absolutely terric installing our new AC unit - very thoughtful about the inside parts of our system and update hoses to piping. He really did a fantastic job!!!!!

I was confused about a new charge that hit my credit card that I was not expecting. Brittany (Sp?) called me and was VERY friendly and willing to help me to determine it is related to a replacement filter program that I am signed up for. The charge wasn’t for a large amount, but she treated my issue with the same level of courtesy and urgency as if it were.I am happy to continue to work with any business that offers this level of customer service!
TL;DR: Genz-Ryan might be better than other similarly sized companies, but they are not your buddy, they are expensive, and they might not tell you what you need to know to make wise decisions about your home.We purchased a house a couple of years ago that had an AC and furnace installed by Genz-Ryan, only a few years old. Someone made a comment that Genz-Ryan was a great company, so we continued to contact them when our furnace/thermostat went out and then the following year our AC broke. The techs were always very nice and seemed knowledgeable but the services were very expensive. We assumed that was just the nature of HVAC repairs.Last year our AC broke and the tech spent a day working on it. He came to us and said, he could apply a temporary fix that would cost us around $900 but he thought it would likely break again at some point, and we would have to replace the entire system for upwards of $4,000.Well, our AC went out again this summer - which our tech last year had warned us about - but we decided to have a different tech (not Genz-Ryan) come out to do the repair. He discovered that there was a leak on one of the tubes and his opinion was that it likely had been there from installation. He estimated a $500 repair and suggested that we call Genz-Ryan to see if they would do the repair for us for free considering that, in his opinion, it was likely an installation error.We called and found out that no - they would not be willing to compensate us in any way for this repair, that the original owner had never transferred the warranty to us so it was void, and that any repairs since had not been warrantied. Further, the tech from last year had told us about this problem and we chose not to fix it. Not how I remember it, but okay - in any case, the repair we were now quoted is 1/4 of the cost of what we had been told to expect and 1/2 of the cost of what we paid last year. Oh, and since someone else had put coolant in the AC, even if we had a warranty it would have been voided. I get that if someone else works on the unit they could have messed something up separately, but it really puts the customer at a deep disadvantage to not be able to have an outside opinion without risking your warranty.It was frustrating, to say the least, and made me question the information that we had previously received from Genz-Ryan. I was surprised they didn't even offer a discount or anything. I don't think that anyone at the company was intentionally deceitful, at least I hope not, however - their teams are incentivized to upsell you at every moment and charge a ton. Most of us don't know more about HVAC than this temperature is unbearable and I would like it fixed now, so you end up going with your friendly GR tech's advice. We are done with Genz-Ryan, and grateful to have found an honest and affordable HVAC tech that we can rely on in the future.

After a routine maintenance visit last week left me with no air, I felt like it was going to be the same issue I had last summer (excessive service calls and utilizing window acs). Tanner used great active listening and found the issue rather quickly. Having a terminally ill partner whos treatments make them more susceptible to heat injury, along with 4 little ones, I'm thankful for a quick easy fix. Thank you, Tanner!

Edited review:I previously rated this place 5 stars due to the wonder experience I had with Tyler a year ago. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with Lucas recently that was so detrimental to my relationship with Genz Ryan that I will never ever return as a customer. To be fair, Lucas did arrive on time and was very courteous but things went pretty south after that. He is young and quite inexperienced and even admitted that my a/c unit was older than him. I explained to him that my unit had this problem before and Tyler added the refrigerant and it fixed the problem temporarily. He told me the refrigerant would be $2700 and even took it one step further and allowed me to finance this only to tell me afterwards that the refrigerant wasn’t the problem (without even attempting to put in the refrigerant). I told him that I know the unit will need to be replaced soon but I just need a temp fix now to get the home cooled. He assured me that the refrigerant wasn’t the problem but stated it was “something else” and kept asking how much I was willing to spend to figure out and solve the problem. My husband said please just first try something before you keep asking us how much we want to spend. After getting approval for a 5k loan from them (thinking I would just get a new a/c unit financed with their 3rd party company), Lucas spent over 4 hours at my home only cleaning the unit. Of course this did not fix anything and we were still without a/c. I hired another a/c company (MN All Seasons Comfort) that came out the next day and fixed the issue which was the refrigerant. And to add insult to injury they only charged me $520 for the refrigerant which they agreed was the problem. I was charged $2200 from Genz Ryan for nothing. Lucas went and did other things that I did NOT authorize and charged me (which would have been cool if it solved the problem but it still left my home without a/c). After speaking with the manager Jeff Taylor I was assured that I would only be charged the cleaning fee of $500. I forwarded him my invoice from the other company showing they replaced the refrigerant and charged me $520. Over a month later they have yet to deliver on the promise of my refund amount. To be fair, they did credit some but they still have another $900 left to credit me. I was told several times by Mr. Taylor it has been authorized but it hasn’t hit my account yet. Now Mr. Taylor won’t even return my phone calls anymore. I’ve been patiently waiting for over a month now but this is ridiculous. I left my original review below that has my first experience with Tyler. I will be contacting the better business bureau regarding Genz Ryan because they are unethical and I still haven’t received the refund amount I was promised.Tyler was very professional and did an amazing job servicing my unit. It was a seamlessly pleasant experience from the initial phone call to schedule the service to the repair. Communication was excellent. Everything was completed timely and efficiently. I highly recommend and look forward to doing business in the future.
They took a shortcut and gas line under floor joists and attached line to outside wall face. Not did they install a shutoff. Need to now re-run line in order to finish basement.

Andrew Folz was amazing! We just had a new furnace installed by Genz approx 6 weeks ago and our heat stopped working last night. We were worried about the extreme cold weather but Alex went above and beyond and was able to come out the next afternoon and made sure we had what we needed to get our furnace back up and running. He even left to pick up a part that was needed that he initially thought would not be able to be available or installed a few days later. Their scheduling is not good. I made an appointment with them about 10 days in advance to send out someone. They left me a voicemail the day before the appointment to cancel my appointment because the technicians had to take other serious jobs due to rapid weather change . I called them back to find out what happened, but their customer rep had to make another elaborate story about how the technician called in sick. I didn’t even bother to tell the customer rep about the conflicting voicemail I received from them. I felt played by the customer rep.

The water heater fractured today and water was spewing out. I called Genz-Ryan and made an appointment for the next day. About a half hour later I received a call to tell me that a technician was on their way and would be to my house in a few minutes. I was so impressed that they came out so quickly. Eric S was the plumber. He was amazing! Professional, friendly, and didn't give me the run around. He replaced the water heater within a few hours. I'd definitely want him back if I have plumbing problems in the future! Thanks everyone!

Very poor scheduling support. I made an appointment weeks in advance to have an annual service performed on my AC unit. They called me the day before the appointment and told me that they had to cancel and would not be able to come out for an additional two months. I can appreciate that they are trying to handle emergencies first but trying to delay by two months is definitely not acceptable.I definitely would not recommend Genz Ryan if you are looking for maintenance service to be performed in a timely manner.
I really wanted to give this business a thumbs up. He did a great job tuning up my AC. But like most of the other remarks, he tried to sell me something I didn't need. He said I needed a new ignition switch. $300. I called my regular plumber and he said my furnace is working fine. He said there was no way to test the ignition switch to see if it was going bad. It either works or it doesn't. If this business tells you need something, get a second opinion from a reliable source.

I started using genz ryan for just about everything around my home. All the guys that have come are extremely nice and professional. Joey definitely exceeded expectations today.
I had a clogged main drain. Telephoned the company and made an appointment for today between 8 and noon. They called about 10 am to advise they would be a little late. Now 1:30, no word and when I phoned the company, was informed they do not know when the tech would arrive. I wasted a whole day waiting on them. Bad communication and unprofessional.
Update: 6/28. The office did contact me for payment information and the cost of the Air Conditioner was reimbursed to me in Full. I do like the fact that they are going to provide this unit to a future customer that may have similar heat concerns that I did while waiting for their service team to come out to troubleshoot the issue.----------------------Update: I did receive a call from them today (6/20). They are going to buy the portable unit that I purchased from Home Depot and provide it to other customers that may have a similar situation. I'll provide another follow up if this actually happens.----------Previously when you air conditioner was installed in March I was excited about the services provided by Genz Ryan. Evidentially after the unit is installed, their customer services drops dramatically.Once it came time to use the air conditioner, my home would not cool below 80 degrees. I called and the soonest they could come out was 2 weeks. How disappointing and frustrating! Brand new client and they cant take the time to find out what was installed incorrectly. I have a private business in my home watching dogs. Some of these dogs do not do well in heat. When I called back to find an earlier time, they bumped it up by 3 days. Still didn't help.I had to purchase a portable air conditioner in order to keep everyone comfortable in at least one room of the house.When Genz Ryan finally came out, the installer forgot to flip a switch and turn on the outside unit. Really!! I had to wait 2 weeks for that.When I complained and asked for a partial refund to assist with the unnecessary purchase of the portable air conditioner I was told they would need to review at the office and I would receive a call be on Monday (this was Friday). I waited until Thursday. No call. I called back and was told they would relay the message. No call on Friday.They have the gall to send me an email the following Monday to schedule the AC start up follow up appointment.So frustrating.

Had them install a new Hot Water heater 5 years ago into our new build home. At the 5 year mark the hot water leaked all over our basement floor. Called Genz Ryan for service right away. (Since they were the installer). They made an appt to have someone come out the next day…then after waiting all day…THEY GHOSTED US!!!, we called at 5:00pm and they didn’t even apologize for not showing up, and said that they hoped someone could be there tomorrow (for a leaking hot water heater). THEY GHOSTED US AGAIN! It was now approaching a Friday and getting dangerously close to the weekend and that would mean we had to wait till Monday or pay a plumber weekend/emergency hours/pay! So after being GHOSTED by Genz-Ryan for 2 1/2 days for a hot water heater they installed into a new home build that was only 5 years old and still under warranty for 6 years…we called HERO plumbing at 8:00am on Friday morning and at 10:15am we had a HERO Plumber at our house and replacing the Hot Water Heater and also conducted a safety check of the entire system and found a gas leak at the main pipe…and fixed that. Genz-Ryan HAS the WORST customer service EVER! I would say to any customer…RUN, do walk, but RUN as far away from GENZ-RYAN. One other reason to RUN, RUN, RUN away from Genz-Ryan is that in our new home build neighborhood of around 80 homes we are the 5th home at the five year mark where the new build GENZ-RYAN hot water heater failed and had to be replaced!!!!

I have used a lot of electricians but Andrew and Genz-Ryan were the best. They came and stayed until everything was done with the best quality. We have an old duplex and are adding bathrooms. They worked quickly but professionally. They asked our opinions along the way and things turned out better than we were hoping. They gave several good suggestions that we used. They also provided several “levels” of service so we could choose the one we wanted. I would highly recommend them if you are doing a remodel or have any other electrical needs. Great communication and great quality of work.

I was told one price over the phone, then tech arrives tells me the tune up is just to tell you what’s wrong lol, then I paid 256 just have my ac cleaned which I only wanted in the first place! Keep in mind I was told 189 over the phone. I also asked to have the ac Freon checked that was never done, didn’t care at that point since they were trying to charge me even more after I already paid the $256. Also note that the visit starts out with the tech high pressure sales on this membership they want you to pay for.I literally just wanted my ac cleaned and checked that’s all I wanted. No membership.Also note I paid this company $10k 5 years ago for a new ac and furnace.Just a very stressful experience
Jaymeson did an awesome job. He did a thorough job of inspecting our system and providing options. He will be requested next time we need GenzRyan to make a visit to our home. The customer service technicians are amazing. The problem with Genz Ryan is their inability to keep an appointment. Sitting and waiting a full day for a scheduled appointment only to have it rescheduled at the end of the workday is NOT ACCEPTABLE business practice. If Mr. Ryan were still alive he would be terribly disappointed in this repeated practice.
Lucas and Loren were absolutely amazing. They both explained every step of the way of what was happening with our A/C unit. As someone that knows nothing about A/C units, I felt well informed and was presented multiple options that fit my financial budget to replace my A/C. We also have a furnace from Genz-Ryan from 2019 and their customer service is what puts them above the competition.I called Sunday and they came to review my A/C on Monday and replacing it on Tuesday. Our AC unit stopped working. Called Genz Ryan to come out to diagnose and fix. Was told it’d be $1500 to repair and they couldn’t guarantee it would fix the problem. Then the iPad was presented with a half dozen options from a $1500 ‘band aid’ to a $22,000 replacement of my furnace and AC.There was no counseling on best option rather a pressure to select which solution to move forward with now (gold, bronze, silver, economy, etc) and an added emphasis to sign up for their service contract NOW so I could get 5% off the entire job. I had to make that decision now or it was off the table. The technicians told me they didn’t want me to feel pressure but I said, I do because you’re telling me I need to sign this now or I don’t get the deal. I ended up signing. They left with the intention of coming back later that day when my hubby would be available to talk.After they left an anger came over me. How did we get here??? Needless to say I ended up telling them when they came back to cancel my service plan, put my units back together and informed them I’d be contacting someone else who I could trust.Fast forward 4 days, we had another heating and cooling company come out (2 trusted people I know referred them).In no more than 30 minutes and for a $324 charge, all was working and resolved!! I was assured our unit had more life in it and I compared my notes on what Genz said was wrong and the guy just said, that’s not true. I’m sorry but you were lied to. Genz said I needed a new fan motor. That wasn’t true. Genz said I had a leak and again, this was not true either. Genz told me my furnace was corroded and mentioned carbon monoxide complications. This too, wasn’t true.I would not recommend this company. They only have their best interest, profits and sales in mind, not doing the right thing for the consumer.

Matt, Tim and Zack all did a superb job. My AC went out on Friday evening and Matt was at my house by 8am Saturday morning. He did a thorough evaluation of my home and presented me with numerous options. The install was scheduled for 8am Tuesday and Zack arrived on time along with Tim to do the electrical work which was all completed by 1pm. In a time of hot weather and high AC repair and install demand I couldn't ask for more. I will most certainly recommend Genz-Ryan to my friends and neighbors.

Genz Ryan unfortunately installed all our house plumbing, water heater, water softener and so on in our brand new home. We had major issues with our appliances since 2017. We held off until last night when we finally had a flood caused by our almost 6 years old corroded water heater. Of course, they would not take responsibility of the water heater warranty because they claim is the manufacturer responsibility. Since the builder purchased our water heater when they broke ground, we missed the warranty for just a few days. Well, we closed on our home on March of 2017 so legally the water heater wasn’t ours before then.Not only they are the only plumber we called today that can only come next week, leaving us in the middle of winter with no hot water for 5 days, but they claim that it is up to the technician to determine if they can claim the water heater under warranty or not. In the meantime, they will charge us $99 for service call in five days to give us that news!!! What a service, after all the mistakes and headaches you gave us in the past with the water softener and the wrong plumbing installation…no thank you…you will definitely hear from us soon!

Our Technician Andrew was great. He was professional, polite, and friendly. He took time to answer all of our questions and to make sure we understand the entire process as well as the benefits of doing a few additional services. He offered recommendations, some that we agreed to do now and some that we are considering for another time. There was no pressure from Andrew to move forward with things we were not yet ready to do which we really appreciated. At the end of the job, he showed us everything that had been done and made sure everything was in working order.
Before installing our new garbage disposal, Shane tried to fix our 18-year old unit. Alas, no luck, but he quickly pivoted to installing the new disposal we had purchased in anticipation that our unit was beyond repair. He did some on-the-fly problem solving along the way. He installed the new unit, was very kind and professional, and gave us all sorts of useful tips to keep our plumbing working well in the future. We would call Shane again and recommend his services to others.

This was my first time using Genz-Ryan. Although there were several issues with the scheduling and communication by the scheduling and dispatching reps, when Andrew did arrive, he was very nice and knowledgeable. He was friendly toward my cats and very personable. He was able to easily get out A/C working again and was not pushy about getting us to spend extra money, although he gave us several options for repairing and replacing out old units.

Andy did a fantastic job! He came in to analyze the situation and knew exactly what needed to be done. My husband and I were looking to remove our garbage disposal after it kicked the bucket, since we hardly ever used it anyways. Though we wanted to make sure everything would still be good and up to code down there after removal, especially since our dishwasher's discharge was hooked up to feed through it. Ben has worked with us before, we really appreciated the good job he did last time. Efficient, kind, even brings dog treats for the pups, and quick to diagnose any issues. This time he fixed it, told us how to keep things running well. All while trying to make sure he could save us money.
Technician Ben Radavich was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional while working on my AC unit. He was also great with my dog and cats which I very much appreciated.
Tanner arrived on time, introduced himself, and clarified the reason for his presence. He was very professional, asked the location of the thermostat and advised he would be increasing temp later, when needed to test, so would heat up the house for the shortest amount of time. Tanner then asked to be directed to the furnace and preformed the necessary tests. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to tape the furnace stats to the furnace, (as done with all previous tune-ups) because his printer wasn't working. A side from this small item, I'm very pleased with Genz-Ryan's Service Tech, Tanner, a great member of the GR team. Thank you Tanner, great Job!

Called and they were able to get out the following day. That for starters was a true shock! Most companies are stating at least 1-2 months just to do an estimate. The next day I received both emails and text messages on status of tech showing up. Arrived on time, listened to what I wanted and gave me an onsite quote with multiple options. Had the work done that same day, looks nice and works great.

I was a little surprised at the price to swap out an easily accessible heating element on a newer electric water heater, but I guess they got you when they walk in the door for an item like that. Matt the plumber and Jesse the installer have been fantastic! Showed up on time, masks on, very cheerful when facing a huge replumbing of our main bathroom! We had a tile contractor out this week to give us a bid, and when he saw our plumbing, he whistled and said, Who did your plumbing? This is beautiful work, give me their number! We're really grateful they did such a good job, because the people who owned this house before us were... DIYers, to put it politely. ***edit 9/12******I received a call after this review and was asked to wait on hiring an electrician. Later that day they called and let me know they would take care of this work at no charge. The electrician that did the work was great and knowledgeable. I’m glad they worked internally to resolve this issue.———————————————————————————The technicians are extremely polite, personable and helpful. I am frustrated with the company however. They found an electrical issue during the installation of my furnace and wanted to charge over $1,600 to add a breaker, run 10-15’ of cable and add a GFI.Frankly I think the techs were embarrassed by the insane cost for such a simple addition. I now need to reach out to other electricians because their cost was so incredibly unreasonable.

Had an excellent experience with Genz-Ryan! We needed to replace the water heater attached to our boiler and replace a few other parts in the heating system. The turn-around time from the initial inspection to the service was extremely fast. The technician that did the service, Shea Wolgast, was punctual, polite, and professional. He discovered a few additional issues, including a pressure reducing valve that was beginning to leak in our finished basement, and was able to quickly get the additional necessary parts to repair everything during the same service visit. As others have stated, their service may not be the cheapest, but I absolutely felt that I was getting the quality of service that I paid for. Thanks again!

Yes he did a good job. However your charge of $226 for spending 20 minutes cleaning the fire starter is grossly inappropriate. That means that you are charging approximately $700 an hour for your technician’s time. There is no one that I have ever paid that much per hour-not even a attorney we have used.Because of how much you are charging for things like this we wish to cancel our contract with Genz-Ryan. Paid $600 for a furnace repair today to get our AC working. There is no fan or air running and nothing was fixed. It is 91 degrees in our house. No one would come back and take a look a few hours after the service. Karin arrived promptly at our home and was wearing a mask. He politely intro, Himself and explained everything that he was going to do in inspecting our furnace. On completion of his inspection he told us everything that was good about our furnace and places of concern. He presented us with multiple options on getting our furnace in good running order. We really enjoyed our experience with him and would welcome him back any time.
We used Genz Ryan at first to do some repair of our humidifier on our furnace. But they soon discovered some serious problems with my aging system. Both technicians and supervisors we all very personable and professional. They replaced our humidifier the same day. We ended up going with a new furnace based on their concerns and recommendations. They even found us an energy efficiency rebate and are going to file it for us. Very helpful, professional and reasonable. My wife and I are so glad we called them.

Avoid this company. We had a new furnace and ac installed last year. The overall workmanship was pretty poor, the wiring and plumbing looked sloppy and the unit didn't look new. The furnace was also very cheaply made, and was extremely loud. We have to keep the utility room door closed now or the sound is deafening (edit, the fan is very loud..it's not something that needs fixed, just a cheap poorly made furnace). The humidifier was leaking after they left, and they left so much debris inside the furnace that it faulted out and needed to be torn down and cleaned out a few days after install.The worse part of the experience was receiving a letter from a collection agency 9 months after installation saying we owed $49.20. See attached...not only didn't we owe them that amount..they actually owed US that amount due to an overpayment. They never even tried to bill us directly for this either, they sent it straight to collections.If you think correcting this was easy, you are wrong! I tried talking to customer service several times and was threatened with having my number blocked. No one would discuss the problem, I was told to call the collection agency. The collection agency took care of the debt as I had the proof I owed nothing.I've been trying to get my money back from them, but have been given the runaround by the director of customer service. He now sends my calls right to voice mail.It's been nearly 2 months now and I haven't had my $49.20 refunded.Please, stay away from this mess of a company!!

The worst experience of any service in my entire life. I was pleased with the first tech who came out to figure out what was wrong with our system. But once I got through the sales process and paid for our entire new AC, furnace and pump, Genz Ryan dropped the ball. What should’ve been a two appointment issue has been six different visits of issues. Starting off with the fact that I was told specific appointment times via email in writing and altered child car and my work schedule around those times I was told they’d come. They were late every single visit except two out of the six. When I brought this up to Loren, the tech manager, he made excuses for it and didn’t take ownership. On install day, they told us the tech that first looked at our old system and figured out what we all needed missed that we needed a new pump installed and that was of course extra cost we didn’t know up front. Not to mention the tech had to drive 40 minutes one way to go pick it up and come back another 40 minutes. The tech said he normally would’ve been done between 2-3pm but he wasn’t don’t until 7:30pm. When techs came to clean out our air ducts the next day, they never checked to make sure the cooling system was working correctly again before leaving. We came home to a hot house and called trying to get someone to come fix the problem they should’ve caught before leaving and were told no one could come out till the next morning. We just replaced the entire system and spent a ton of money with this company, I expected better customer service than that. When the tech came out the next day and fixed that issue, again, came home to more issues. The pump they just installed wasn’t working and there was tons of water on the floor in our utility room. We had rugs in there and they are all ruined and stained from the water. So again, called to have them come back out and fix the issue. I’ve now been trying to get ahold of a customer service manager to voice my frustrations and frankly, I do not feel confident in our system or this company that it won’t break again soon. I expect a lot better customer service when you’re spending $14k on something and worry about what kind of company this is to have this many issues on what should’ve been a normal AC/furnace replacement. Absolutely do not use this company, I wish I could start all over again and never contact them because it’s been a nightmare and it seems like no one cares to even hear my experience and try to make it right.
Lucas, the technician that came out was amazing and if I was giving a rating on just him, I would give him 5 out of 5 stars!Genz-Ryan as a service provider I would not recommend as they don’t seem reliable. It took me weeks to get my appointment today, they were supposed to show before noon and they didn’t show up until after 7pm. I called several times for updates and all they would tell me was that I was “still on the list”… I found out later that they prioritized “emergency” calls over scheduled visits because they can charge more per emergency call. That to me is shady business practices.They also made be pay for a maintenance plan in order for them to fix a faulty AC unit they installed less than a year ago. They stated that they would not make the repair unless I signed up for a monthly service plan. That too seems like shady business practices. They install a faulty product and they still got me to pay something.It is my impression that they are not a business you can rely on or one that stands by the products they install.Since this review was given:They came out again to look at the humidifier component as the house was feeling stuffy after the first repair. Ryan, the tech that came out was professional, friendly and came within the time frame we were quoted. I am hopeful that all issues have been resolved.

Technician Steve arrived on time and was very professional. He did testing on my malfunctioning furnace to find the issue. He ended having to red tag it (carbon monoxide and cracked heat exchanger) and I started to really worry. My house was freezing, it was snowing out, and I was overwhelmed. He explained my options and I calmed down and was able to make a good decision. He even rearranged their schedule for the next day so I would have a new furnace. Sorry to the other customers.The installer, Ryan, also arrived on time the next day, in another snow storm, and was very professional. He kept me posted on what was going on with my new furnace installation, how much time it was going to take, and got the job done with greatly exceeding my expectations. The workers are great. Aiden and Mike really helped me out.I'm knocking a star off because the office ultimately failed to communicate the pricing to me leading to a lot of confusion. I think internal management could be improved upon as two of the times I've used Genz-Ryan the appointment had no substantial notes about the situation or what had to be done.I do like that they have weekend availability for calls and scheduling. That was super helpful for me.I would recommend them again, but only if I had a medium job or a lot of little things to do at once. For any small jobs, find anywhere else to do it.
Technician John Miller is super awesome. A very friendly dude who is super knowledgeable and you can tell he loves what he does since he’s beaming the whole time explaining how things work to me. Technician Shea Wolgast did an amazing job on the plumbing and install; he was a super hard worker and very nice. Thanks guys for everything! A+++

I live in a condo downtown in an old warehouse, and it has a unique and interesting system that Joey helped me better understand and gave me a nice timeline of when I'll need some more work done with estimates. Andrew came out to fix a ceiling fan install gone wrong (“handy”man...), and to fix some electrical that had been noted on my inspection when I bought my house 2 years ago. He was very friendly, professional, and explained everything he was doing and why. Scheduling the appointment was quick and easy, and he was able to do all the work in the same day, which I appreciated.
They installed both a new AC unit and Furnace in a day. Had 3 or 4 technicians and all were respectful and provided answers to my questions. I like that although they made a mess while working. When they left it looked like they hadn’t been there at all.Thank you for your speedy service and excellent customer service at every aspect.

The Technician Ter was great. What I don’t like about Genz Ryan is the open ended all day appointment time frame.Other companies use a 2 or 4 hour appointment window and waiting all day for Genz Ryan seems excessive. Time and money are valuable and I am not sure how long I will stay with Genz Ryan for service if they keep their all day appointment system……..

I declined service because Genz-Ryan couldn't offer a price range for a whole home humidifier on a furnace they installed in my home. They tried to leverage a $99 service call charge to my home to pressure me into purchasing a system from them at a cost they wouldn't provide until they showed up (and charged me the $99).What an awful business practice...I was looking for a whole home humidifier. When calling to request an estimate I was instructed I needed to create an appointment for the estimate. At the end of the call I was informed if I didn't move forward with an install, it would cost $99 for the service call which could be waived if I proceeded with an install.I asked for a price range to see what this may cost before putting $99 on the line. I was politely informed that no prices are given over the phone and a visit must occur first - a visit they charge $99 for.I further asked if a price range of $400-$600 was an appropriate range for install. They proceeded to say they couldn't give pricing information and a technician would need to provide that. Terrible customer service.

Toilet repairI spent over $500 on a repair because otherwise, I was out $100 for a trip charge for a 'menu price item'. The toilet repair was even a menu-priced item, a flat fee that they told me it couldn't be shared on the phone and they couldn't share pricing on a toilet over the phone which was a menu price as well when they got there ($1500ish) and no specifics to the type of toilet, just a menu priced item for 'aa new toilet' without asking about type.A $700 toilet tank parts replacement was the 'toilet repair' with parts normally costing under $100 at home depot, but somehow with 2 technicians, they couldn't properly install the parts without it running afterward.I won't use Genz Ryan and was super disappointed because they repaired my boiler earlier the same year so I gave them another try, but to have to try to reschedule for tech to come out because they couldn't verify their repair was complete without the toilet constantly running after every flush.

We had a pipe burst in the basement ceiling late at night. We received a call back right away from Gracie (who was excellent) and Max arrived the next morning on time and prepared. He offered multiple solutions from a cost prospective and also made suggestions on early repairs for a potential future problem. He was efficient, neat, pleasant and very helpful. Our AC died during the hottest week in Summer of 2022. I called CenterPoint for service and they said they'll get to me in two weeks. I called Genz-Ryan on a recommendation from my in-laws and they had someone out the next morning helping me sort out what to do next. They are extremely prompt and professional. Every tech I worked with explained what they were doing and kept me informed on every step of the process. They might not be the cheapest company to go with, but if you want something done right, they seem like the correct company :)

I called Genz Ryan on behalf of a family member who speaks Spanish to see if there was an after hours electrician available. The representative on the phone would not even tell me whether they had after hours workers without speaking with the home owner, who had asked me to facilitate the conversation. I called back later with the home owner present and the second representative didn’t require to speak with the home owner but easily checked and told me that there were not after hours electricians available. This could have been provided in the first call. Luckily we found another company able to come out after hours to fix the issue. But the initial phone call provided a negative customer service experience and this policy to only speak with the homeowner negatively affects individuals who do not speak English as their native language.

Decent company, more expensive than other companies. Lot of good guys that work there. Sometimes they prioritize speed over quality which is a chance you take with any HVAC company. If you do choose to go with this company recommend you want Jeromy to be your installer. He's extremely knowledgeable, does things by the book, doesn't take shortcuts, and he's an overall friendly guy that you wouldn't mind having at your house. He deserves a raise.

Andrew and Tristan fixed several issues in our home. It was a large job that included installing a new electrical panel and bringing everything up to code. Over the two days they were here, they were very professional and courteous. They both went above and beyond what we expected. With a job our size there was a huge mess, before they left everything was cleaned up (including every last speck of insulation). While this was not something we had planned for, we are very pleased with the work they did and appreciate how thorough they were to get the job done. We would absolutely recommend them to any friends and family looking for an electrician.
We had Andrew over today to help us out with a full electrical inspection after we just bought our first older home. We had a few jobs all of which he tackled for us in just a few hours without having to break open walls or much invasive work at all! He was exceptionally professional and very friendly and generously walked us through each step and question we had and detailed everything in a way that was easy to understand and make a good decision for us. Called Genz-Ryan for a quote on repair versus replacement when my 17 year old air conditioning unit went out on June 30th. First technician arrived in under four hours, he got to work immediately, provided an assessment and we then discussed options. With cost compared, it only made sense to put money into another system rather than trying to maintain equipment which had reached end-of-life. Adam Genske completed the installation of a Amana heating and cooling system this past week and the quality of his work is simply outstanding. I can recommend Genz-Ryan to anyone needing plumbing or HVAC service without any reservations at all. The entire team responds quickly, communicates well and delivers results that will meet your expectations.
Andrew replaced our electrical panel, rewired old outside electrical outlets and wired our hot tub. He was extremely personable and professional the entire time. He had to make a second trip to our house once the hot tub was delivered and he made sure he was scheduled to finish the job. This was evidence of GR's great customer service and made the entire experience top notch. Andrew did a fantastic job explaining the work to us so we could understand and make informed decisions. We will not hesitate to call GR again for any electrical work and request Andrew. He is a true asset to the company!
This particular service was good. No problem. It was later we scheduled another service in early June. They moved it to mid-June. Later moved to mid-July. They did not give a reason. We finally used another company to complete the work. I would give them a Zero star if available.

Scheduled our A/C unit for a maintenance tune-up since we hadn't checked it since we moved in a couple of years ago. They were great about communicating and changing the time when we needed to do that. They called 30minutes prior to arrival as they said they would and were exactly on time. The tech was very nice and explained things I asked him about. He offered the maintenance plan in a very easy going fashion and didn't feel pressured to get it. I was planning on getting something anyway so I signed up for the annual A/C & furnace maintenance plan. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend highly!Still using them couple of years later for bi-annual service - furnace tune-up and AC tune-up. Friendly service on the phone and from the tech as well. Still happy with them.Still using them many years later! Our tech this time was young but very professional and courteous and knowledgeable.

Genz-Ryan had a $29 furnace and AC promotion. I scheduled online for early September, then had someone call me to reschedule a few weeks out. Then, the day before the third scheduled appointment, I received a call telling me the earliest available date was end of November. Clearly Genz Ryan isn’t the least bit interested in honoring the promotion or showing up. What a joke!
Second time using Genz-Ryan services, both times have been a great experience where I always end up feeling like I had a true pro out for the visit. Dalton R. was quick, clean and very professional with the furnace service. I will definitely keep using this company going into the future.

We had looked around at a few other companies but no one had the great reviews that Genz Ryan did. When we met with Steven at our home he was so polite, helpful, and patient going over everything and answering all our questions. He created the perfect set up just for us and went over everything clearly. This technician was outstanding in both his diagnostic ability, repair service, and explanation of issues with my furnace. He presented a thorough evaluation of what they problems were, gave me 7 options for repairs, and actually showed me the problem areas on my furnace. He was professional, respectful (he wore a mask upon my request and offered to clean up after his service was complete), and was very pleasant to have in my home. To solve the problem he called the furnace manufacturer, then called the maker of the pipes (they aren't being used any more), then called the city inspector and guys in the shop. He came back the same day with the right parts to finish the job. (I had to delay because of a conflict). This is the first time anyone from Genz has show this much commitment to me as a customer. Outstanding knowledge, effort and customer service. Great young man.Nick did an excellent job as always. Pleasant, professional and efficient.Ryan was very thorough and professional. Our water heater stopped working. We called to customer service who said someone is coming out the next day and we are in the emergency list. No one came. We scheduled a new appointment and got a confirmation it's going to be open appointment for 3 days later. I called 1pm and 4.40pm to customer service to see that someone is still coming, they confirmed we are still in the schedule. 4.50pm got a text message our appointment is canceled. We called to customer service to book a new one and they offered an appointment 12 days later. Very disappointed. If you can't come, don't schedule us and let people wait. Be aware as we have been waiting for 4 days now.

Lucas was great!Called in for a service visit to check main ac that stopped cooling and they were able to schedule a visit later in day. Lucas was very professional, explained what the process was, asked if I wanted our 2nd ac checked, and I'm glad I said yes. Main AC capacitor was shot and needed refrigerant, 2nd unit's capacitor was about gone and fan moter was leaking oil. Not only did Lucas explain everything, he went over options for repair and replacement. Elected for repair and even with it being 4pm, he went to get the parts and had both units back up by 9pm.Excellent customer service!
The duct cleaning service is ok if not some setting issues. But the problem is that my brand new HVAC stops working with “Rh wire no power” error. Online reference suggest that drain line might be clogged right after. I guess the air duct cause it, and it back to work after I try using my home vacuum to clean a little of drain line. So I ask to the company to have a free follow-up check because I suspect the dust/dirt from cleaning into the machine is not fully cleaned(might cause any problems later). But the customer service refuse to do it….Follow up: Thanks the arrangement from one of the customer service: an experienced technician come and check. The HVAC system got some dust/dirt, and we cleaned a little bit. my guess: the duct cleaning technician set up wrong initially by putting the vacuum negative pressure towards the supply side underneath the HVAC system, not the return side, so the dust/dirt were pulled onto the system(The good thing is not many dust on supply side).
Simply the best plumbing service I have ever dealt with! David, treated my home as if it were his own. The pricing was more then fair, and honest. Further more I can’t say enough, about the quality, speed, and David our plumber was a true pleasure to work with and a VERY pleasant man to work with. I felt totally comfortable. Also I’d love to specifically thank the entire company for their excellent customer service. This was extensive work and the quality shows in every regard. They are TRULY simply the best in my experience and opinion.
Ter did a fantastic job! He addressed all my concerns and more. He was punctual, thorough, and very polite. Fantastic customer service and quality work. He also ensured I was not charged for services covered by warranty. I had a heating system install last year and during the install my cooling system was inadvertently interfered with. Ter took care of everything. I am glad that this company is willing to address any issues like this without additional cost for the customer. The technicians I've worked with have been very knowledgeable, and if something does get missed, they sort it out. Thank you!

We had a little flood in our basement and had Genz Ryan come out to take a look. They did an inspection of everything plumbing related in our house and confirmed our suspicion that it was coming from the outside as it rained while the ground was frozen. Ryan did give us some good recommendations for other things to do, but we didn't buy anything this time. If we need anything in the future though, we will contact this company again .
Informative technician, knew his work and options, and were able to come in and look at our situation right away. Unfortunately beyond our price range for the products that they carry for water heater options so we were unable to replace the water heater through them. Would recommend making sure you register your product and get extended warranty and regularly service if you have a tank vs tankless, which unfortunately we are stuck with.
Joey did a great job getting our central air unit repaired and running. I would recommend him to get the job done.
Joey came to our house found out the problem with the furnace and fixed it real fast. I would recommend Genz-Ryan to everyone.
We had a fantastic experience using them for our electric work, they responded to inquiry immediately and we had service scheduled within the week. Our technician was knowledgeable, diligent and incredibly friendly during the project. I would recommend them to anyone and plan on using them in the future

Dear Loren and Readers! I just want you to know how special you are! You came to my home after normal work hours with a smile on your face know what you were walking into. It was one of the absolute bottom of the barrel of sadness, frustration, absolute torture, with not a glimpse of hope in or answers for me. I had totally given up. Your smile, kindness, and knowledge within the matter of minutes turned out what seem to be a day that I couldn’t wait to forget into one I want to remember as a life lesson. The service we received today was great! We needed our furnace replaced and the installer, Francisco, took time after installation to go over everything that was done. He was very nice and professional. We will use their service again.
Had used them for plumbing and had a good experience, so tried them out for electrical work as well. Kelsey, the electrician, was awesome! Super friendly, thorough, professional and easy going. Would definitely use him again for future electrical work. Also the company sends out text reminders for appointments as well as calls to let you know when the technicians are on their way — a nice little bonus! Thanks again Kelsey!

Andrew was very professional and respectful.He was good at explaining how it all works and answering all my questions. When it was all said and done he showed me pictures of all the dust bunnies and their friends. As a first time home owner I was very happy to have this project done! It was amazing how much “stuff” was cleaned out of ducts and vents! Thanks Andrew!
Service tech (Dalton) was very professional. He took the time to explain all the tests that he was performing while doing my annual furnace tune up. Communication was great. I received a text message the day before to remind me of my appointment. The day of the appointment, I received a call to let me know the technician was on his way. In addition, a picture ID and a brief biography of the tech was provided via text as a safety precaution. Not many companies go to that extreme to keep their clients informed. To be honest this is the first 5 star rating I have ever given.

John was the ultimate professional in helping resolve my clogged bathtub drain issue. Also answered a few other plumbing and heating related questions I had. Very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend his services.
Had a furnace and A/C replacement and they were so thorough, courteous and professional. Made sure I understood the new units before they left as well. Super friendly and would definitely recommend!

Arrived on time, very professional, friendly, informative and helped me through this alarming dilemna of not knowing what had happened with a leak damaging my tri level townhome. He also helped me make decisions on replacing my old furnace, AC, and water heater. With all of this the plumbing was fixed and a water heater replaced on in one day. Best service I have ever had. Very glad I chose this company. The service rep I had today, so impressive.
Ryan was Outstanding in all aspects of his performance from the minute of his arrival. He removed our old furnace and a/c unit and installed the new ones in a very timely and professional manner all while maintaining Covid-19 protocols. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable as well. We would definitely have him back to perform any required work as needed.
Andrew was amazing, courteous, intelligent and patient. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything, making sure I understood the details of what he was doing. He presented a very good detail of what I may need to have done down the road. I feel better knowing that good human being like him are out there helping us all daily. First time using Genz Ryan. David is a competent young professional. His organization was extraordinary and timely. He arrived at my home at. 8:15 am, did a 4 HOUR assessment. Took a short lunch break, picked up parts at the Burnsville office, returned to my home in Woodbury, then worked straight through until all was accomplished. He left my home “spic and span” at 4:30. I’d would boast his efficiency, competence and passion to perform technically to the best of his knowledge. He answered my many questions so I felt confident about what exactly was accomplished. Jordan was one of the best and most personable pros I have met out here since I moved all the way from Seattle, WA to MN. He really knew his stuff, but also was a human being and could have an appropriate conversation about what and how he was going to do what needed be done. Most just throw out a bid and you just have to hope it goes right. Not with Jordan, he was a really stand up guy.

We had Genz Ryan come over for a quote and we ended up going with them for a new AC unit! Karim was very knowledgeable and took good care of us.
