Clarke Kent Plumbing Plumber
I called Clarke Kent because I was having problems with my water softener. Their technician came and quoted me $1,117 to repair the unit, or $2,531 to install a new unit provided by them. I decided to get a second opinion from Radiant Plumbing, and they came and repaired my unit with minor adjustments for under $200. I'm thinking that either the technician from Clarke Kent is very inexperienced, or they were trying to hose me. I will not be calling Clarke Kent again for any plumbing services, and strongly advise homeowners to always get a second opinion when you receive a large estimate for repairs.

Every single person we spoke to & worked with was amazing. The guys who installed the new water heater went above & beyond to make sure I understood everything about the process, the cost breakdown, county coding requirements, etc. He even saved some beloved stickers by transferring them to a cabinet in our garage. Extremely thoughtful touch. We will be back! 100% Fantastic experience.

Republic Pipeworks Plumber
Another plumber told me that I needed to replace my water heater. One of the thermostats and elements had gone bad. Jim was able to replace the parts without costing me the expense of getting a new water heater. I was so happy not to have to pay thousands of dollars. Jim is truly a nice person and knows a lot about plumbing. He's very easy to talk with and takes the time to diagnose the problem and make sure everything is in good shape. At every step he explained what he was doing and why it was necessary. You won't go wrong if you call Jim.

O & M Plumbing Services, Inc. Plumber
Best Plumbing Services overall in my service area based on price, skill and quality of customer service. Many other reputable companies quoted double (or in one case triple) for the exact same work. Did I mention they were quick and cleaned up after themselves too?How did I determine that they are the best?I had all of my plumbing inspected by a home inspector/contractor I trust, with estimates on cost and time. So I contacted every reputable plumber I could find on yelp for estimates including Aloha Plumbing, Good Flow, Blue Dragon, Plumb-Quick, the Plumbinator, Local Plumbing and EZ Flow to see what they would quote.O&M was the first ones out, their prices were in line with my cheat sheet (that I did not tell any of the estimators about), Drew was head and shoulders above the other estimators in terms of knowledge and - here is the most important thing - NO UNNECESSARY UPSELL!!!!! All other estimators save 1 tried to sell me on a rebuild of a shower that only needed a handle fixed. All other estimators warned me that most of the undersink cabinet space would be used up in the remodel but O&M actually ended up using less space than before. So now I have even more storage room.I don't usually use CAPS in reviews but the best service and best knowledge (given they improved the situation under the sink unlike every other company would have done), while coming in a few dollars below my cheat sheet estimates and being the 2nd cheapest quote out of 6.I won't even try another company and I want to make sure everyone I care about is using these guys. Too many others out there gouge you. I have 4 emails in my inbox that prove it.

A DeaL Plumbing & Sons Plumber
Replaced two 50 gallon propane water heaters with a Navien 240A Tankless Unit. Arnold from a deal plumbing took my call and came out following day to give me an estimate. I had estimates from 5 different plumbers, price range between estimates was dramatic. A deal plumbing was not the cheapest, but was very competitive across all the plumbers I contacted. They were able to complete the install the day after I confirmed with them. They spent time evaluating the gas supply/demand in my home to determine best approach for adding tankless water heater. My original water heaters pulled 40K BTUS each (80K total) where the Navien can pull up to 200K BTUs, so it’s important to determine best connection to ensure ample supply to Tankless heater. Some plumbers suggested just connecting new tankless to my existing ½ inch gas line, but most including A deal Plumbing suggested running new ¾ inch gas line to ensure adequate supply. They took the time to run the new gas line underneath the subfloor in my walk-in attic (where original gas lines ran) so that it would be out of the way, and wouldn’t be stepped on by any traffic passing through the attic.Arnold suggested using concentric venting so that the new unit could have direct intake/exhaust through existing vent hole in my roof. Worked great and no roofing/flashing re-work was required. We added new rubber gasket, which Arnold provided, over existing flashing which was a perfect solution.Arnold followed up a fews days after the original install to ensure that everything was working properly. I pointed out to him that the isolation kit A Deal Plumbing installed with the unit wasn’t Navien OEM and didn’t have shut-off valves where the flush hoses would connect. Arnold evaluated and agreed this was a poor design and would be impractical when flushing. He ordered the OEM parts and returned within 1 week to replace the original isolation kit. He added extension pipe to the isolation kit valves to drop them below all the connections at base of heater so they would be easy to access during annual maintenance of the unit.Natural Gas to LP Conversion requires dip switch configuration on the unit’s control panel which was overlooked during install, but easily remedied … just glad I checked. The model I purchased includes an internal circulation pump, which requires an internal valve to be switched when using dedicated return line, and some control panel dip switch configuration. A Deal Plumbing didn’t seem familiar with these configurations for the embedded re-circulation pump, but I was able to read manual and easily configure myself. They were very familiar with how to install the unit and are listed as a recommended installer on Navien’s website.Arnold was hands on, involved and participating with his crew throughout the whole install. He and his crew are very cool guys and easy to work with, which I very much appreciated. Unit is working great in my home, am satisfied with the install and the tankless heater’s performance.

Pure Plumbing Service Plumber
I've had Mark out to our first house for a major pipe burst in the garage a couple years ago and not only did he come out in the middle of the night and get the situation under control, he also let us know costs up front as well as what we could expect and do to better help prevent this kind of thing in the future. Having said that, when we moved to our new home in Pflugerville and our expansive clay soil bust the incoming water to the house near the foundation I knew just who to call. I spoke with Mark (the owner) and he was out to the house in about 20 minutes. As usual, Mark let me know exactly what the fee would be as well as a clear estimate on what to expect. The job was done timely and professionally and as always, Mark let me know what I could do in order to better protect the home as well as ways to avoid this kind of thing in the future. I HIGHLY recommend Mark and Pure Plumbing Service!

I called Neighborhood Plumbing on Thursday and they were able to come out Friday morning. I was worried because when I requested service it said I would not hear from them for 2-3 days. Thankful Allan and Austin were prompt and professional and figured out our shower problem immediately. Very professional and this is the second time Allan has come to our home to fix our plumbing issues. We will continue to call them in the future.

Supreme Plumbing Plumber
Don’t let the lack of reviews here fool you (they have a yelp with more also). Had a bad leak by the main line in the yard. They came the day of on short notice, finished in a few hours, and I paid literally half what the bigger guys quoted. Can’t really ask for much more in a situation like that. They are definitely my first call next time if and when they are needed

Confidence Plumbing Plumber
Similar experience to the other home warranty folks in these reviews. They came out and identified that my hot water heater had a leak. Then after my home warranty company ok the work they wanted to charge me for code upgrades. Which is fine b/c we should get up to code, but looking at the list:$300 for a drain pan at the bottom. $450 for an expansion tank install. $250 for t&p with copper fittings and $300 for a gas flex line. All in all $1300 to get it up to code. Are you kidding me???The parts alone cost less than $150!!!No way that's $1200 in labor for a 40 gallon tank replacement that two guys can knock out in 4 hours. Add to this the home warranty company would pay them $650 for the install and tank. So they'd profit almost 2K on a half day of work minus $150 in parts.Come on, this isn't rocket since. This breaks down to $462 per hour for labor charge with their reimbursement!Of course I did not use them, but this joke of a service made me laugh. The girl I spoke with on the phone was nice and responsive though so that was a plus. I guess they'll rip you off politely.Buyer beware.
