Confidence Plumbing

I have had a similar experience to others that were referred to this company through their home warranty service. I filed a claim regarding a leaking water heater. The warranty service was to cover the cost of the replacement, plus labor, Confidence wanted an outrageous amount for additional parts and labor (over $500 for a drain pan, draining the water heater and unscrewing on nut on the circulation pump). I initially agreed, but when they arrived and I asked if they had applied for the permit required by the city, they wanted to add an additional $450. for them to get the permit or they said that I could get it myself I called the city code department and they said the permit application fee was $150 and that I could get the permit in my name and have them go ahead a complete the work. Confidence Plumbing then refused to do the work unless they applied for it themselves and unless I paid them $450. They had already started to drain the water heaters, but when they realized they needed a permit, they closed off the valves to stop the water from draining and got back in their truck and left (leaving air in my pipes).I have other issues with this company, but I think you get the picture. I would give this company a zero rating if possible.

Similar experience to the other home warranty folks in these reviews. They came out and identified that my hot water heater had a leak. Then after my home warranty company ok the work they wanted to charge me for code upgrades. Which is fine b/c we should get up to code, but looking at the list:$300 for a drain pan at the bottom. $450 for an expansion tank install. $250 for t&p with copper fittings and $300 for a gas flex line. All in all $1300 to get it up to code. Are you kidding me???The parts alone cost less than $150!!!No way that's $1200 in labor for a 40 gallon tank replacement that two guys can knock out in 4 hours. Add to this the home warranty company would pay them $650 for the install and tank. So they'd profit almost 2K on a half day of work minus $150 in parts.Come on, this isn't rocket since. This breaks down to $462 per hour for labor charge with their reimbursement!Of course I did not use them, but this joke of a service made me laugh.The girl I spoke with on the phone was nice and responsive though so that was a plus. I guess they'll rip you off politely.Buyer beware.

The work done by Eddie and Orlando was excellent. They took the time to not only fix everything but to show me what was wrong with my plumbing and suggested ways to fix it properly. This was a pleasant experience and the cost was reasonable.

Despite preparing and dripping our faucets, we still had a burst pipe in two places. What he thought would be a quick temporary job to get us emergency water turned into a big pain! Orlando was incredible and so was his apprentice. They were wonderful and I am so happy I referred all my neighbors. They went above and beyond. They were incredibly courteous, patient and willing to answer all of our questions. They arrived early and did the job in a timely manner. They were able to provide a permanent fix! The dispatcher Madison was incredibly friendly and communicative. We called 44 plumbers, they were the first to answer. Of all the plumbers who called us back they were the only ones willing and able to come out within a couple days and with a reasonable price.. Their prices are incredibly fair and competitive as well. We will always use and recommend Confidence plumbing (though I hope we don't ever need them again).

We had broken pipes due to the snow/ice (along with so many in Austin). They were so great. Responsive. Professional. Kind. Eddie explained everything well and did a fantastic job. I’m sure they were exhausted working so hard trying to get everyone’s water back on, but you would never know it. They made us feel like we were the priority. The price was reasonable. Communication on point. Would not hesitate to call them again.

Their rep/plumber came to my home that we moved into 1 week ago to fix a toilet that wasn't flushing properly. It's a wall mounted Kohler toilet. He flat out said,, I've never seen a wall mounted toilet in a home. I left him alone to try to fix it. He told me that he would have to open the wall in order to adjust the setting and left. I examined my toilet after he left and saw an half inch dent next to the flushing button on the wall that was not there prior to the plumber's visit. I contacted his company to complain. The young woman I spoke with relayed my complaint to the manager. I then received a voicemail from her that the plumber denied causing the damage and that it was my problem. It's his word against a customer's and they chose to accept his word; no questions asked. Unprofessional and plain bad customer service and experience.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I had my upstairs bathroom start leaking and it got bad very quickly. I called Confidence Plumbing and Eddie was my tech. Very professional, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. He got my issue resolved quickly and the price was fair. Would definitely use Confidence again for any future plumbing issues that may ever come up. Thank you Eddie and Confidence Plumbing!!!

Granted we went through our home warranty and that is how we found them. When the plumbers came out they looked at my husband and asked him why there was water in the over flow pan. ? They blamed a roof leak on the cause for the water heater going out (after being here for only 5 minutes), which caused our home warranty claim to be denied. After talking with a roofer they disagreed with their diagnosis and still they were unwilling to change it. Communication was not the best on their end as well. Things took way too long and I called them more than they called me. After a week with no hot water we are going elsewhere.Update: New hot water heater installed within 12 hours with the help of a plumber. Roofing company came out and accessed the roof and fix the tiny crack in the seal of the vent that was possibly moved slightly from the wind (last week). Roofing company also said since there was no damage done to the roof or under it, the likely hood that our hot water heater was ruined because of that was not a possibility.Definitely will not use confidence plumbing again, and I am telling others to do the same.

Orlando was super fast, professional and did a great job resolving the problem we had with our toilet. I would definitely recommend him and Confidence Plumbing.

These guys are AMAZING!!!! I can't recommend them enough! I had a water pipe in my house break on a Saturday. I called our regular plumber and waited ... and waited ... and waited. Finally on Wednesday (still no water in the house) I found Confidence Plumbing on Google and called their offices. The woman who took my call was so kind. They were completely booked on Wednesday, but Paul decided to come to my house after his other jobs. He and Eddie arrived at 6pm and stayed until 7:30pm. They quickly found the leak and got a plan together about how to fix the problem. They returned the next day and removed the damaged pipes and ... well long story short ... I HAVE WATER!BOTTOM LINE: These guys are great! Paul is a Master Plumber and knows his stuff. He and his team are professional, smart, have great communication skills, and will get the job done well. You just don't find people like this anymore. I am so grateful to have found Confidence Plumbing!

Paul and the guy with him were fabulous. I will definitely use them for any future plumbing needs and I highly recommend them! They were kind and prompt and got the job done quickly. They also educated us on the plumbing issue to help us prevent future problems. Lastly, they didn't even charge b/c it was such a quick fix!!! Who does that these days?! I've had another plumber charge me A LOT for coming for even less time. Very very impressed with them!!

Came out for a service call on 6/2/2020 and required authorization from the home warranty company. Since then no calls back, no one answers their phone number, no response to email or chat, or text. In the meantime the issue they were sent out for has gotten much worse and I have already paid for the service!

Orlando was excellent and professional, explaining the issue and what he’s going to do to resolve it. Madison at dispatch was also great to work with. Definitely recommend.

Eddie came out on a few hours notice. Called before showing up on time to my duplex. Fixed the problem and then told me all else needed to be fixed. I can do most of my repairs and he didn't mind going through everything and letting me know over the phone what needed to be done without making me feel he had to fix it now. But, I would of had him fix the extra work but felt like it was over priced for the extra work. Now I'll go fix it myself but did appreciate the suggestions and letting me know what does need to be done to prevent another problem.Price good for a emergency type of situation. He did come out the same day.Operator that answered the phone was great and found out all the info for me that I needed to get and appointment same day and called me right back with a time line after talking to the plumber to make sure he could make it out same day. Give them a try if you need a plumber.

We have used Confidence Plumbing 4 times in the past 1 1/2 years and they are consistently great.! They come when they say they’re going to come and do great quality work at a reasonable price. They are super friendly and very trustworthy. These guys will lift your spirits even when you’re having a plumbing emergency!! Fortunately there are people like Paul & Eddie when you really need them!!

They did a great job fixing our Water Heater as the pilot would shut off frequently. Great communication and punctuality

I've used Confidence Plumbing 3 times now and have been pleased with their work and straight-forward/honest service. They've also been quick to respond to my requests with next-day service.

I had the same experience as others in relation to the home warranty. I have vent line leak, in that the rooms near the leak constantly smell like raw sewage, which is something that is covered by my home warranty. But Confidence plumbing refused / had no clue how to diagnose the vent line leak. I explained that another plumber had suggested a smoke test as the appropriate diagnostic tool, but they said they didn't know how to do those and just smelling raw sewage is not an acceptable means of detection for warranty claim coverage. So basically even though the home warranty covers the issue, they have no way to diagnose the issue, therefore no coverage is actually provided - brilliant! Clearly AHS (warranty provider) should be avoided at all costs, but so should this plumber that is in their pocket.

Prompt, professional, fixed my issue quicky, updated us from appt to completion.
