They make you agree to a $195 consultation fee that is payable if you don't do the work, then they quote you a large sum for the work, which forces you to make a decision to either pay for the overpriced work or lose the $195. You don't even get a chance to shop around for another quote for the repair work because to apply the $195 consultation fee to the cost of the work, it must be accepted and paid same day.RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESPONSE:Yes, everything was explained to me beforehand. What I didn't expect is that you would charge approximately $250/hour for the work itself. That was the surprise to me, which forced me to eat the $195 consultation fee because I wasn't going to pay $500+ to replace the gas valve on. my water heater.

On 12/6/2021, I (CMP) contacted BenjaminBL LLC Plumbing Services and explained to them that my water heater was not working. Ms. Emily who was quite professional and gracious scheduled me for a next day appointment. Benjamin was prompt, on time, and listened to my plight. Let me say this, Benjamin did everything he possibly could to repair the water heater. This included contacting the manufacturer on my behalf which I also did multiple times in a 24 hour span.I made the decision and said can you get me a water heater today? Benjamin got my house up and running with a better water heater, warranties; both his company's and the manufacturer within 3 hours. Holy hot water! I've always said you get what you pay for in this country. Benjamin and Emily are understanding, and very professional. I even called their office the next day to replace a bathroom faucet and Benjamin came out and also made sure that the new water heater was running fine. I even got a full refund from the previous water heater company as apparently there is a noted manufacturer's issue. Thank you Benjamin and Emily and yes, I will be using them again for any of my plumbing needs.

Mr. Rooter replaced a large drainage pipe for me. This was a big, multi-day project. They charge a flat fee but still took the time to do the job right. Great workmanship and service!

Very friendly and fast but both leaks they fixed had to be refixed. This took more time, more huge water bill, and more inconvenience of having no water at the house. Very high price after initial lower quote. We ended up having to trench the yard ourselves to physically find the problem. Plumbers aren't diggers! We learned all this the hard way and are grateful they refixed their work but have a hard time trusting it now.

Called on Friday. They offered a “free” quote for a new Hot Water heater on Saturday, then charged me $114 because it was a Saturday.

My water heater was leaking. I received bids from two plumbers who insisted the unit had to be replaced and gave bids of between $1,000 and $1,750 for just labor costs (the new water heater being a separate cost) because of the unusual configuration of the unit, space constraints, location of water filter, etc.I refused to accept those outlandish prices. I contacted the manufacturer and was sold a replacement component intending to repair the water heater myself. But, then I was stuck because my water shut-off didn’t completely turn off the water. Enter more plumbers who were telling me the only solution is to shut off water to the entire condominium building. They said that process would take several hours (on the clock the whole time). The fact that the water shut-off wasn’t operational also would have increased the original bids significantly as those bids assumed the water shut-off was functioning properly.After two weeks of a broken and dripping water heater, I contacted Al Mac who offered to come out and look at the situation. Instead of just giving me an estimate and scheduling a later date to repair the problem, he offered to fix it right then. For a couple hundred bucks, he engaged a temporary fix with my water shut-off, replaced the broken component with the part I purchased, and had the water heater totally fixed and working within an hour!!!It took him 5 minutes to diagnose the problem and explain how he could fix the unit, all at a fraction of the cost of other plumbers.I greatly appreciated his integrity to tell me what was actually needed, his willingness to use parts I had already acquired, and to repair the water heater (versus replacing it), saving me literally thousands of dollars and unnecessary work.He was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and even vacuumed the area when the work was done, leaving my space cleaner than before he arrived to do work. The total bill was EXACTLY what he said it would be.I cannot recommend his services more!!

Custom Plumbing Services did a great job for us! They worked hard to discover our problem and the men were very diligent in repairing it, working long hours and were available to answer our questions. We highly recommend them!

I had Stan's do the maintenance and service of my system in May and June, on the house I bought in January. About 2 weeks later, I decided to go ahead and replace the AC system and redo the ducts which were nowhere near big enough to circulate enough air through the square footage. Within 4 days including a weekend, Stan's guys were back at 8am, polite, professional, and friendly.... I left my dog in the bathroom and I decamped to a Starbucks for a couple hours. By 2pm the system was replaced and all the old ducts and the old AC were removed and tucked into the Stan's truck. New programmable thermostat set up and my house was comfortably cool. New whole house filtration system too! Much more efficient now, and with the bigger ducts, I'll never have to replace those again. I'm setting myself up for future affordability where at worst I only have to replace the AC unit every 15 years or so. Plus the financing, for 0% over 3 years, made it very easy for me to afford this process and thank you Landon for your patience in figuring out the freeze I'd placed on my credit report. I've been using Stan's for many years with 3 houses and counting, and I'm always happy with their efficiency, low cost and professional installation.

Had a full HVAC system replaced through Fox. The Project manager Carey was great, understood the scope of our project and didn't try to up-sell me on a million different options that I didn't need.David, Obi, Chris, and Grant who did the install were all very professional and thorough. We were correcting a fairly serious mold issue and have a baby on the way. They went above and beyond with the install and explanation.I don't have a great word-of-mouth network in this area so I was just searching around online to try and find quality installers. Everyone I worked with: Melissa in the office, Carey planning the project, and the guys sweating in my attic - David, Obi, Chris, and Grant - Thank you all and I recommend you very highly!

I have now used the services of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Austin twice now and both times they were very professional. On this visit, Austin experienced an extreme deep freeze winter storm that caused my 90 year old mother's well head to freeze and caused severe broken pipes and pictured. Andy Garcia was the technicial this trip out who stayed in touch over the two day repair. His professionalism and high skill level at what he does made everything so smooth that I will not call any other plumbing service for our future needs.
