We are going through a process here. Maybe we have a slab leak, maybe we do not and it is something else. Only reason for the 4 Star rating, because all we actually know it's there is a problem.Today, the new toilet to replace the ,60+ year original version was installed and the MB sliding toilet problem addressed. We were happy with the work and solutions proposed. Hall bath has a functional fixture, MB fixed up probably as much as possible. Pleased with the care and workmanship.Estimator came out on the slab leak issue. I think every other company would be talking slab jackhammer and massive destruction, not to mention the $$$. He spent over an hour trying to figure out what is actually happening. We will be continuing this process with them.I have to say that this business impresses me on multiple levels. There is no sense of anyone trying to jack up charges. The plumbers and helpers try diligently​ to complete work within the hourly rate. For us, this means we get some little bonus fixes such as a leaky faucet if they finish the original problem quickly. Everyone we have had here has been sweet, competent, and willing to have the little old lady in residence saying, well, since you are here....Works for me!Edit. The company sent one of their technicians out, to further diagnose the issue. He pulled the MB toilet, and discovered the flange was broken. Since this toilet was repaired just a couple months ago, he seemed to think the original plumber may have missed something. Flange and service call were completed at no charge to us and the leaking issue appears to be completely resolved.So, again, I highly recommend these guys. If they don't get it right the first time, they fix it.

Excellent experience! In a time when all home vendors are backed up for weeks and I even had a plumber tell me that they are no longer accepting new clients (like the dentist does!), these folks were kind, professional and go the job booked quickly. Needed someone to check out our septic tank and pump if needed. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name that came out. He was so nice and professional. Answered all our questions and was very thorough. Turns out the septic tank functionality was fine but was full. Everything ran great...for about 4 days. Called Metro Rooted again to have someone come out to check our main pipe from the house to the septic. Enter Tony. I cannot say enough about this man and his knowledge about the situation. He answered all the questions and even drew pictures and had diagrams. I now know more than I ever thought I would about how plumbing works. Thankfully, it was, in fact, a blockage in the main pipe and not something with the septic tank or leech field. I would recommend these folks to anyone!

We recently contacted Steven's Plumbing to fix a problem with a corroded cold water valve. Steve called back the next day and was at our home within 40 minutes. He removed and replaced the valve. In 2013, he installed our water softener and a tub in our garage. In 2015, he installed a fresh water line to that tub. We have been very pleased with his service and we recommend him highly.

The work done was fine. That is not the problem I experience. They don’t have very good communication. I asked them to come out and do it for what the man that I called quoted, $250. I had no idea the work had been done as they didn’t call me or leave a bill or anything. Four business days later I get an email for the invoice. I checked that the work was done as I had absolutely no idea beforehand! It was for $110 dollar more than we had discussed and no one had even given me a call to notify me when they realized it would be about 40% more than the original quote. So generally unhappy about their customer service.

We have used Burt Normans for a variety of projects. They price fairly, communicate options and outcomes extremely well. This is a local company who values doing the right thing ahead of making a quick dollar. We will continue to use Burts for all our renovation work, as they earned our trust over the years.
