Very rude on the phone. I asked if they were open (it was 5:00 on a Friday afternoon) and the man said “we aren’t taking any more calls today” so I asked about the next day. His very uncaring sounding response was “well yes we are taking calls tmro”. I said “you don’t sound very excited about it” and he immediately said “mam, if you’re going to be rude about it” and hung up.I’m old and have a lot of issues (as most people do now days)….I can’t tolerate rude, especially when I will be the one paying THEM.Would never use!FOLLOW UP:Sir, in response to your very incorrect reply…..a “dispatcher” did not answer the phone. It most likely was you, the Owner. I was not “arrogant” but because of the disgust sound in your voice, I said “you don’t seem very excited about it” in response to you saying “we will be open tomorrow”.You, sir, with all due respect, are very rude. I expected, at the very least, some professionalism, even though it’s the end of the day and I realize you may be tired.We all are. There’s a saying, “Until you’ve walked in my shoes, don’t tell me how to tie my laces.” Practice it and others will afford you the same courtesy.Thankfully, the next person that I spoke with was very courteous and helpful.

April 13,2023Once again I called but this time to have my AC drain cleared. They can within a couple of hours, ran the drain and left my garage nice and tidy! Thanks for a job very well done!!I called to have my dryer vent cleared and they came out the same day. They were courteous, professional and did a great job and cleaned up after! It just doesn’t get better. I’d totally recommend them!!

The toilet, shower, and bath tub in my master bath room backed up with sewage on Thursday. My trusty plunger was overwhelmed with the carnage. I called a Plumber that advertises on talk radio often. They advertise We will clear any drain for $123.00 or it is free. They could not come out until the next day and I was fine with that. The plumber arrived about 10am. She went out to locate the clean out valve and said she could not find it. She said it should be there but she did not have time to look for it. She did say she could remove the toilet and re-seat it for a bit over $1,100.00. She did not have any extra time to look for my valve, but did have time to do a thousand plus dollar job. I greeted her farewell and spent the weekend with one bathroom out of commission. On Monday, I called Econo Rooter, and the technician arrived just before noon. He was friendly, knowledgeable and explained what he would be doing. The cost would be a little higher to clear the drain at $183.00, but if the toiled had to be removed and reseated, it would only cost an additional $100.00. He located the clean out valve in about five minutes and went to work. In all the job took less than one hour. There were no hidden charges, no surprises, and the work was done professionally and with craftsmanship skill. I am proud to be a member of the Econo Rooter happy customer group. George Oller

Literally the worst company in terms of customer service. Regardless of the situation, as being the owner of a business, you are expected to maintain a professional courtesy with your potential clients, despite how you may feel personally. You cannot run a successful business operation without taking care of the client first and foremost.Though I have not personally had the experience of Econo-Rooter coming to my home for a plumbing issue, I have had more than one person tell me that their owner was callous and rude to them.You may dismiss me as just another false review but realize how effective word of mouth is when operating a business. Your quality is defined by the words of your customers, and by your actions as a business owner.
Travis went over & above to clear my sewage line. He ran the snake repeatedly to locate & clear the line in my 60 year old system. I called Econo-rooter when my first company could not come at the last minute. They called back and came out right away on Sunday afternoon. I was very pleased with the work and would highly recommend them.

My husband has used this company in the past when our kitchen sink became clogged. This morning the owner, Leroy, phoned and I happened to answer the phone. This man began to yell at me saying they would not come out to our home because of the vent. I had never spoken to this person, yet he was so angry at me. Very unprofessional. They could have had a much bigger job if the owner had basic decency and common courtesy. This owner should not deal with consumers. In this day and age, there is no need to be nasty to anyone. Do yourself a favor, call another plumber.
First they get you to sign a contract are they want do any work for you. I really thought I could trust this company. My brother had used them several times since 2014. They really did scam me. $525.00, 3hrs work. Did not fix problems. PLEASE, PLEASE neverSign............Yes, they installed the smallest clean out I have ever seen but they did not solve the problem. I did sign a contract and I stated that. That's why I am pleading with some of you out there, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT SIGN ANY FORM, because they put price on it knowing full well I need the work now, but I thought this business would adjust the price and do what was right. I was told if they came back out I would be charged again. I'm a 82 year old handicap lady that was taken advantage of. OWNER was very, very rude on the phone. My brother and I did not deserve to be talked down to the way he did...
Travis was very friendly and knowledgeable. I needed my tub and sink drained. The tub drained great but there was issue with the sink. Travis told me my options and gave me an estimate for one of them. After he spoke with the owner, they didn't charge me for the sink since the job couldn’t be completed. I really appreciate that. I will definitely be calling for future plumbing needs. Thanks!

Econo-Rooter did an awesome job fixing my toilet. The gentleman was on time, and was quick to fix the problem. He was very patient, and took time to answer some questions about another problem I am having. I will use Econo-Rooter for any other plumbing issues that I might have. They are a very good company, and will be honest with you. They are not out to rip you off like most companies around here. Thank you Econo-Rooter for a job well done, and for renewing my trust!

Very VERY rude management. When owning and managing a business, one must learn to be kind and caring towards customers and also POTENTIAL customers. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone EVER. pick literally anywhere else- it is my constitutional right to freedom of speech and i will continue to practice that right i have. i do live at the same house and the way you and your company treated my family is HORRIBLE. look at all of the reviews you have on Google, they all say the same thing. Your company is very unprofessional and not a good company to work with. Not only are you guys a horrible company, but you are also very illiterate and half the time it is hard to understand what your responses are trying to say. You’ve contacted my family on private numbers to harass us for leaving truthful reviews, which we only left two. I will be contacting the BBB for calling on private numbers and harassing us. the owner gets drink and calls and yells at customers.

I asked for someone to go to a rental property I have to unclog a drain. When they showed up they said they could not preform the service because they could only deal with the owner not the tenant, I asked why and they said because they need payment before doing work. I said sure I can go ahead and pay over the phone, they said they only accept cash. So I got in my car and drove to meet them. Called again when I arrived because no one was there and they said they would be back shortly, waited and wasted my time waiting for them to return. When I called the company to ask them when they were coming back out they said the business isn’t worth them coming back out and hung up on me. Will never use them for anything plumbing related.

So far all I have done is schedule the appointment to have my sink and dishwasher fixed. They have not come to my house yet, but after speaking to Larry on the phone I'm not exactly thrilled to have them come to my house. He did certainly did not have the best attitude and was not very welcoming with customer service skills. I can only hope that the guy or the person that comes to fix my sink and dishwasher has a better attitude about his job and looks forward to helping customers. I will update my review Once I have been serviced***Update: our plumber was great. Fixed the job quick, no problem working well now. I love getting plumbers who have been doing this for a while. Apparently Larry works in the dispatch and could have better customer service skills so if you get him on the phone, I suppose try to look past it as they do have good plumbers.

Refused to do the work requested. Insisted on entering House when all i wanted was for them to use the roof vents and clear the downstream pipes out. Said he had to come inside, which is not true and I am not going to risk my sister's life so he can look at a sinkI was willing to pay if what I asked them to do if it worked or notAdded: I was instructed by my sister to not let anyone in, as she has a health condition, the job was to snake out from the roof vent, nothing else was required, I am sorry your company was unable to do this simple job. Maybe add to your company's info that you will not do requested work if you find it too hardAnd you were not here three days ago, making stuff up now? Why are you lying about this? I live here too and am here at any time my sister is hereMore added: If I could I would now give you zero stars for being a liar.
I called for an estimate on a job, the driver showed up early and I had another company here to give one also. The manager at this place called to tell me I was not courteous and it was rude to have another company here and that they did not want my business.. it was rude and I could not believe the way that man spoke to me. I will never use this place again. And after leaving a review I begin to get calls from a private number and when I answer I'm told if I learned how to use Google, then I hung up. There was ONE other company here not several. You're aggressive ness shows why you havea bad rating... then I'm told they have lawyers looking into it?? Into what?? Cuz I leave a true review? These are the kinds of people that come back and break into your house after they've finshservices. I'm being stalked and harassed now after leaving my review. They keep calling from a private number. I'm actually scared he's going to come to my house and hurt me. The way he spoke to me. I'm scared.. I guess every bad review is a friend of mine. Lol. No wonder all the reviews are the same.. learn how to type, talk and spell... its actually normal to get more than one estimate. I'm glad I did, you are horrible..

I have been doing business with this company for over 30 years and I can't believe how nasty, unprofessional and horrible the actually owner Mr. Leroy Blanton was with me and my poor wife over the phone. I have a drain problem and if it was explained nicely that they could fix my piping issue before completing the drain cleaning I would have continued doing business with this jerk. This company shouldn't be in business it should be in bankruptcy after the way they treat their customers.It gets worse. I need a cap placed on the vent but this company didn't tell me that, they wanted to charge me $675.00 to run a vent line through my roof line never explaining to me my options and that a cap would run me about $30.00 to install. In business or in jail you decide.

I called to get information on a kitchen faucet installation. I truly am unfamiliar with the process and asked a few questions. I was totally going to use their services, but needed some reassurancing. However, the guy who answered the phone was snarky with a sarcastic tone. Not how you should treat potential customers. The phone interaction alone with the guy who answered the phone would detour anyone from utilizing their services.

I had waited from noon to 4:30 for another rooter service that had said they would be there at 2:30 to clear my clogged drain in the tub. The other company could not tell me how longer it would be just that they were running behind and it could be 2 more hours from 4:30 when they last updated me.. I then called Econo- Rooter and asked if they could be there within 30 minutes. They called me back within a minute and said they had a plumber on the way. He arrived within 10 minutes and had the drain cleared promptly. They do only take cash or check
I don't know why they've only got 2 stars. Not my first time using this company, and it wont be the last. Straight forward pricing no strings attached. Called on sunday 3pm... service call completed by 340. No more standing water in the sink! Thanks Econo-Rooter!

By far the best customer service I have experienced since moving to Jax!!! So I was tasked with the honeydo list since I was off for the day. We had been calling around and it seemed we were getting rediculouse pricing on plumbing issues so I called Econo and asked when I could get someone out to check our water heater. The boss said right now. Within 30 min the plumber was at our house. Gave me the quote for the heater, not what I wanted to hear, but Mr. Travis was very detailed in his explanation. You could tell he and his company had a since of integrity and dont appear to be the type of business that would take advantage of people. On his way out, I asked could he check the toilets because every now and then I heard drips from two of our toilets and Rotorrooter quoted us 225+ per toilet. He was firm in saying the price per hour and that it wasn't a quote for that but the price was the price, nothing hidden. Because my husband had already purchased the material and because of Mr. Travis was honest and professionalism I decided to see when he could fix them. He said let me draft a ticket and call in to see if I can do it while I'm here. Well he did the work, did it fast, and explained what he was doing while he was doing it. Now the other reject companies need to take a lesson from Econo -Rooter and there needs to be more Mr. Travis's representing their company and doing quality work.. Thanks so much. Moving forward this company has our business as long has we get the same Tech/Plumber or the same Great work! Thanks again...
Call Roto Rooter or David Gray Plumbing. Much better work and better customer service. They’re also BBB accredited which Econo Rooter is not, for good (or maybe bad is the operative word) reason. The owner’s replies to customers who have given him a less than great rating will tell you all you need to know. Nothing is ever his fault or his responsibility. Be warned, you don’t want to deal with this company.
We had a slow drain line from our master bathroom. It was clearly the 4 line feeding out of the master bathroom as all appliances (sink, tub, shower and toilet were slow to drain). We called Econo-Rooter and they came the same day (good). But, as soon as the plumber got in the home, he raised the price from $129 to $159 (immediate up-sell!) because he said the $129 was for a shower and not a 4 inch main. Then, he starts telling me if he has to remove the toilet it will be another $75 (another immediate up-sell). I simply asked him to leave. Note, I'm an engineer, have held a Florida General Contractor's License and have worked in the construction business since I was a kid. I understand the business and what it costs to work and have a profitable company. I also support local small businesses. I did not have an issue with $150 to clean a line but they already were at $160 and up selling. That business practice is distasteful to me. To remove a toilet, snake a line, install a wax ring and reinstall a toilet takes a few minutes for an experienced plumber. The entire process would be under 1 hr and they are at $159 plus $75 = $234 for 1 hour of work. That's very high not to mention the up selling is just simply ridiculous. I'd recommend you avoid a company with these business practices. There's nothing economical about Econo-Rooter!
Run!!!! If you're thinking of hiring this company!! We hired them and the damages and mess they left behind was TERRIBLE!!! The Owner will not admit to fault nor reimburse us for the damages they've done. The tech that came out to do the work brought a helper with him. And the mess they made was horrible. The helper even admired my home yet he disrespected it by damaging door frames, leaving some kind of marks on my blinds, doors and walls. That will not come off!! They even left a dirty hand print! Wanna bet if I had one of them place their hand on it, it would match! And I had just painted that room! One of the marks the helper made on the door frame we all know he did!!! Me, my husband and both employees saw him bang into the wall with the bottom of the machine!! The tech even told him to be more careful and the Owner still says it's not his responsibility. They also didn't cut down the bolts on 2 toilets, so they sent the same tech back out, had him cut them down and put the caps on. He also took pictures with his cell phone to show the Owner because that's what the Owner wanted and the Owner still says it's not his responsibility. When the tech came out he asked us not to hold this against the company. The tech also said that now he could fire his helper because he was tired of him damaging things. The helper is suppose to look around and clean up and the tech admitted that he didn't look over the job to make sure nothing was ruined. Again, not the Owners responsibility!! I will NEVER deal with this company again and I will make sure my friends don't use them either. They were recommended to us by another plumber we've used, his number is getting trashed too!! Next time Roto Rooter will be used. Also, I was a bit surprised when this company only accepted CASH or CHECK, hmmm!

I just got the best service from Econo of any kind from any company ever. I called on a Sunday and the job was done in less than an hour at an unbelievably low price. The guy that came to my house was a total Rockstar at his job. No lie..WOW!
Extremely poor service. Owner loves to yell curse and scream at the customers. Read the other reviews. This isn't the first time this person has done this. NOTICE HE'S NEVER WRONG. Owner answered the phone drunk and it wasn't even noon yet!!! Promised a 30-day guarantee on his work then didn't back up his word. Do Not Do Business With This Person!!!
Very Rude and Unprofessional. No call no show when calling the owner calls me back from a private number. I question why a business is calling from a private number and he gets an attitude. Says he does not give out his number. I told him don't worry I will call someone else he said GOOD! What kind of business does not give out there phone number! Found them in the Money Pages Magazine do no waste your time with this company.
This business is the worst plumbing service in Jacksonville. They are scammers and very very rude people. The manager should be fired for how disrespectful he is and the way he speaks to customers. David Grey is so much better!!! Please do not do business with these unprofessional people.
If you look at the other reviews on here you will see the OWNER LIKES TO YELL AND CURSE AT PEOPLE. THIS IS BECAUSE THE OWNER IS A WEAK MINDED ALCOHOLIC. HE IS A TELEPHONE BADASS WHO IS NOT BRAVE ENOUGH TO YELL AND CURSE AT SOMEONE IN PERSON. Extremely weak man reliant on external substances. The work is consistently sub-par. Travis and Joe do the job correctly about 50% of the time. Plenty of other plumbers in Jax that do great work for the same price THE FIRST TIME AND YOU DON'T GET YELLED AT. BEWARE! Not a good business! Notice how run down and trashy the vans look. Read other reviews DO NOT USE! Time and money wasted. Unreliable service.
We contacted Econo-Rooter to help resolve a slow tub drain and provide a quote for a showerhead/faucet combo replacement. The technician, Travis, was professional and knowledgeable. He explained possible options in detail and provided quality service. We are pleased with the stoppage being cleared and showerhead/faucet replacement service!
Just had a great experience. Nice plumber fixed problem quickly and efficiently at a good price. Will definitely keep them in mind for any other plumbing needs.

They came through in a crisis, during the hurricane warning and the nor'easter of 10/616 to clear our backed up sewer. They got here in 30 min. and did a thorough job; whereas RotoRooter, whom we had called the night before at 6:30 p.m., never came that night, postponed us till the next day, and then gave us completely bogus reasons (really - out and out lies!) about how our location and the weather prevented them from coming - and were curt and argumentative on the phone to boot! Use Roto Rooter!!!

I had clogged kitchen drain and Joe was very professional and cleared the drain, even went up on roof to clear clog through vent but did not charge anything extra for doing so, have not had any more problems with the drain since work was done and am very staisfied.
The work was done correctly, quickly and for a reasonable price. I hopefully won't need them again but if i need plumbing work I'd call them again.

IF YOU LIKE RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE...THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU... THE ONLY REASON I GAVE 1 STAR IS CUZ I COULDNT PUT 0 STARS Ok first i called to get someone out here for a slow tub drain...the lady i spoke to wouldnt talk to me cuz i wasnt the owner of the house ...so i handed the phone to the owner and had him tell her...she was extremely rude...they came out ...had me sign papers before the work was completed then had my tub drain augered out...i called the next day to get the name of the guy that did my work...but they wouldnt give me the name owner larry called me back and said someone said for him to call me...he wouldnt give me the name of the tech either he was rude as well so from my experience everyone that i spoke and dealt with was rude!!! DONT KNOW ABOUT YALL BUT WHEN I AM PAYING SOMEONE FOR A SERVICE I EXPECT RESPECT!!!!!! And fyi i only used the f word cuz i was fed up at that point!!!!!NEXT TOME I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MY DRAINS OR ANY PLUMBING ISSUE FOR THAT MATTER...IM CALLING ROTO ROOTER!!!!!!

Terrible customer service!!! Was very rude on the phone and even cussed me out when all I wantes to know was why the tech came, had me sign papers and left. I called and get yelled at. He left my front yard looking a mess as welll. Shameful
Joe was excellent. He was professional and got the job done. He was in and out with no additional charge. He even had to go up on the roof!
No customer service.They even curse you out when you are on the phone with them.That is my worst experience ever.Please, do not take any chance with that company.They will rip you off. The owner is so rude. It seems that they are the worst in town.
As long as you don't mind the expense, they get the job done quickly and professionally.

I was being yelled at on the phone and I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the owner. I never felt so disrespected in my life.
No wonder this place only has 2 stars. They are horrible people and their service is not worth the price. They messed up my bathroom horribly
VERY fast service and a good price. Only issue is that they were unable to correctly diagnose my issue correctly which was slightly frustrating.
