This review is way overdue because I was fortunate to work with Atomic on two occasions. The first one was for my entire condo in April of 2022 and the second one was on January 2023 for re-installing laundry floors due to the flood in my laundry room. In both cases, they were absolutely wonderful to work with from beginning to end.
My initial conversation was with Adam, the owner whom from talking to him and reading the reviews, I knew I’ll be in good hands. As the next step, Jon contacted me to see my condo and to go over the samples. His knowledge and expertise in this field is flawless. I wasn’t sure what would be the best LVP for me, and after talking to Jon, I felt comfortable going with his recommendation. I absolutely LOVE my new floors and I’m getting compliments for everyone who sees them!
The first team that did my entire home was Daniel and his teammate. They were very polite, professional, clean, and hardworking. They did absolutely an amazing job.The second team who did my laundry room was John with his daughter, Mataia. They did an excellent job in a timely manner. They took great care to come to my house, and guide me to the right products for my situation. They delivered what they promised when they promised in a clean and efficient fashion. Had two rooms that I wanted to replace the carpet with tile that matched what the home builder had installed. Got several quotes, the price was reasonable plus Alan and his team were able to get to work with in a few days of receiving their bid, which in the mess of post COVID scheduling was amazing! Amazing flooring contractor in Phoenix!

I needed a flooring company to help me with a project on short notice due to some painting being added to the scope of work and pushing the flooring installation schedule, creating a conflict. I found Phoenix Hardwood Floors online.

From the start they were professional, responsive and friendly. Mark was able to get me on the schedule and take care of my customer with a personal touch.

They discovered some water the insurance company missed and set up their drying equipment to take care of it immediately. The installation was done quickly afterwards. Rosemary, the homeowner, was taken care of with a professional quality job.

I really appreciated Mark and Dan being able to take care of the customer. I was able to hand this off with confidence that the project would get done well by a licensed, trustworthy company.

Another great job done by Royal Wood Flooring! I used them once for a repair on our bamboo floors which they did so well (couldn't even tell where it had been repaired) that I called them again when I needed the entire floor refinished---looks like new!!!Service was prompt & professional. I highly recommend their work.

Matthew and his crew did a fantastic job of removing existing ceramic tile and thinset. They ground and leveled the concrete ready for new tile to be installed as well. I couldn't ask for a better experience. Very professional. Thanks guys!

Had different typed, which a lot of them don't.

This is the worst company I have ever come across they put no pride in there work they have no respect left me with a huge mess every single night after they left please go somewhere else and save your money cause you will be waisting it if you go with these clowns

Our experience with Custom Floor Covering was a disaster and required legal involvement. First the quality of the workmanship on the hardwood floor installation was defective, and although they ultimately admitted their mistakes and remedied most of it, the time, aggravation, mess, and disruption that resulted took a heavy toll on us. It required taking it up and reinstalling it. We have multiple residential and commercial properties, and to have this get to this level is something we are not used to. Additional damage to adjacent ceramic tiles occurred, and the experience to that point was hostile and difficult, and we were uncomfortable and mistrustful by then, so letting them repair the damaged ceramic tiles was not possible.

Despite attempts to pay the majority of what we owed them, they fought us on deducting the cost of the repair for the damaged tiles. A civil lawsuit resulted, and unfortunately this was during COVID, and our reasonable attempts to reach a settlement with mediation were refused by Custom Floor Covering, Inc, and it proceeded to a virtual trial. This was a mandated virtual trial limited to only one hour, handled by a Justice of the Peace who had never passed the bar exam, and was dominated by mistruths stated by the owner and employees of Custom Floor Covering. I had only a few remaining minutes of that hour to even make a stab at getting to the truth. Unfortunately, the truth never could be shown, then another 70 days went by before a “judgement” was rendered, and it was full of factual mistakes, demonstrating a lack of understanding by this “judge”. We then filed a motion of reconsideration, basically just asking her to show us her calculations and get the numbers in her math accurate. This request for reconsideration was denied with a one-word response, “DENIED”. There were enough mistakes in the handling of the case at the judicial level that we certainly had grounds to appeal it, but again there is a risk and additional expense and time involved, and at a point, we decided to just cut our losses and give up. Normally not my preference, but we were sick of it.

Custom Floor Covering, Inc, their owner, and their employees will deny all this and blame us for being too particular after they went out of their way to agree to what were just our unreasonable personal preferences, and they will deny what occurred was damage and improper installation whatsoever. That is what they stated at the trial and wrongly it was accepted. Sadly, justice is not always done at any trial, and there is always that risk when you go to trial, but we felt badly violated and assumed a reasonable approach, photos demonstrating the damage, would all logically be understood and make sense. It wasn’t, so I bring this up so that anyone considering flooring of any kind will not have to suffer the same experience we did. There are so many reputable companies out there who put the customer first and make their best effort to please you. Mistakes can happen, and we don’t expect perfection on the first attempt, but we do expect people to be responsible when they make a mistake and take the necessary steps to resolve it. We expect them to be honest, truthful, and not lie. This was everything but that, it can be much better, and I urge anyone to avoid Custom Floor Covering, Inc. and all the misery they caused us.

I have photos, videos, and abundant documentation to fully support everything I have said here, and I will be happy to share them with anyone to prevent experiencing this unpleasantness.

Daniel's work is quality and his price is right. Easy to work with, on time, and a passion for doing things the proper way. He installed wood floors, refinished old wood floors, lengthened a stair-step, and changed our stairs from carpeted to wood. A beautiful job that added beauty and value to our home.
