We realized the crew arrived nearly 20 minutes before the Sales representative's expected start time. The crew greeted us at 7:00 a.m., went over the work order with us, and asked if we had any questions. They answered all of our questions and gave us a plan out goal for the rest of the day. By doing just a couple of things, this will save us on the SRP bill a lot. We signed up for his service plan only because George was extremely nice and explained the plan to us in detail which would eventually save us money over the years. I've been using Dan, the holy grail of a/c techs: master certified, self employed, super honest and very reasonable. When he told me he was retiring, I went into a panic. Most of my previous experiences with a/c service companies was not good. Fortunately, he did refer me to Dial One Mears. I called for a noisy compressor and seasonal tune up; they were out to my house the next day (on time), and Clarence (my tech) was exceptionally professional, polite and thorough. He identified and remedied the vibration noise, serviced and cleaned both units and replaced a worn contact switch. In and out in about three hours, all for a reasonable charge. Dan's retirement is safe. I'll be using Mears from here on.

Curtis and the girls on the phone at the office were all very pleasant and professional . They came out quickly and explained everything in detail. There was a part that I needed the blower motor , and they were going to order it and come back the next day but Curtis found one at their warehouse and brought it back the same day and fixed it same day because he didn’t want my toddlers to sleep in a 90 degree home again ! Paid for emergency service $147.00 non-refundable fee on Friday 8/6 and was told new air compressor needed to be fixed. I had to contact Howard Air on 8/7 for next steps to get it fixed, they did not call me. Was told by lady on 8/7 she would contact me on 8/9 to schedule when a/c could be fixed and take my credit card. Was never contacted on 8/9 or 8/10 by lady after she knew our unit was not working at all. Highly recommend to not use Howard Air!

Update: Even though it says someone would contact me, as of 8/16/21 nobody from Howard Air ever contacted me. Very disappointing.

Can't say enough good things about this company. I purchased new A/C unit from them 1 year ago. Had a part go bad. Mind you this was a warranty issue. Five Star was there within the day. Fixed it in 3 days only because of getting the part. Tim and his crew are the best. Only wish I had my commercial units in AZ instead of CA they would service and maintain everything I have. Our very old ac stopped working and a friend recommended GORILLA AIR. They quoted me a price, which was a lot cheaper than what I had been quoted from other companies, they came and and recommended some adjustments and they installed a new heat pump. I have used Adams Refrigeration for over 20 years. Simply put, they are the best. I once had a problem in August and called at around 6:30 on a Sunday morning planning to leave a message. The owner answered the phone and had someone at my house around 10 a.m. to fix the problem! Not sure that would ever happen anywhere else.
