In 2018 we built a new home and contracted ARS to put in our two Carrier Units, one of which was a dual zone 3.5 Ton unit the other a 1.5 ton unit. Over the past 3 years we have had some issues with the Dual Zone unit. ARS continued to work with us until they found and fixed the problem. ARS is a wonderful business that operates with a high level of integrity.Every tech that ARS has sent to our house has been professional and courteous. The last technician to come to our house was incredibly knowledgeable about the mechanics of our Carrier unit. Michael made a series of diagnostic tests that the others did not. Michael was able to properly diagnose and fix the problem.Thank you ARS for your commitment to stand by your workmanship. It's been a pleasure doing business with ARS of Durham!

After having my shower/tub refinished I needed to have a plumber out to re-install the fixtures that had been removed for this process. On a Tuesday they scheduled me for Thursday. Later, service tech Dalton called and said he had a full day on Thursday and wondered if he could come on Wednesday instead. I thought- Great, the sooner the better. He stated he would be here no later than 11am and showed up promptly at about 10:30 am. Once he arrived, he and his coworker were not only professional, but also patient and kind. They took their time to speak with me and get clarification on things I needed/wanted. They answered my questions and addressed my concerns. The fixtures that I had didn't match, making my bathroom a little more hobo than boho chic. Dalton stated that he could research the trim that would match my valve so that they wouldn't have to remove the wall. (I had been told by a previous plumber that removing the wall would be necessary if I wanted to change my fixtures to a newer model. But he had never suggested that there could be a set still available to match my existing valve system.) He stated as soon as he got to the office he would send me the information. No joke, within like 30 minutes of their leaving, he called me back indicating that he found a set to match, provided me with the price and expected date of arrival and potential date for installation. Just remarkable. Long story short (I know this was long)- They spoke with me to get a clear understanding of my needs, asked questions, and investigated their concerns. It was a great experience. I appreciated their help and expertise so much. And they will be returning to install a matching set that is compatible with my fixtures, saving me on money and time. I trust these guys, they gave me peace of mind!

Connor worked all day to try and unclog our kitchen sink drains. He quickly identified the issue and tried several strategies. He was kind and pleasant to have in and out of the house all day long. He called in another person, a drain specialist, who will come tomorrow morning and hopefully get us fully operational again.

2 stars for price only. $298.12 for a drain clean out. We called with the problem already diagnosed; it was non urgent, and they never lost the snake to the drain. They were here a total of 20 minutes. Outrageous pricing.

Edit in response to owner’s reply only: if I knew I’d had them for 2 hours at that price, I would’ve put them to work! $150/hour sure is something. Wish I made that.

I contacted Roto-rooter to replace a water heater. Nate Elwell was dispatched to fix a problem which the initial installation had left the day before. Nate is very experienced and professional. He came on time and started work immediately(this sounds trivial, but some other plumbers are simply always late for appointment). While fixing the problem, he discovered additional problems that the installation was not done properly. A pair of union connectors were missing, and the blue container regulator that's on top of the water heater was installed in wrong position. Nate took the time to correct all these problems. He also replaced PVC pipe with copper pipe to make the plumbing durable and high quality. Nate also hauled away the old water heater and card board. Now the water heater is working.Nate is absolutely the best plumber I will recommend to anyone. Roto-Rooter is stronger because of the best people like Nate. Edwin was wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and keeps the customer informed about next steps. He replaced our main water line, which was not an easy task. I now have a good, reliable plumber I can call on when needed.

Excellent service! Called @4:15pm on a Sunday, he was at my house by 5:00 and had the issue fixed by 6:30, including a run to get parts. All for an absolutely reasonable price. Can't recommend enough.

Total ripoff. I was charged $499 to replace a faucet that he insisted I buy before arriving. The hose had been leaking it was fairly new faucet. Jeff took my old faucet without asking - I have rental properties. 45 minutes of work $499 not close to range of $129 - $159 for faucet replacements.

The charges were not discussed. Never was I asked to take my faucet for you to refurb. The charges are ridiculous for 45 minutes of work.
