I had a sudden kitchen sink clog (resulting in sinks full of dirty, greasy water) on Saturday night and, being new to Durham, didn't know who to call. I was in a bit of a hurry to solve the problem because I have a baby at home, and no dishwasher, and the kitchen sink gets a lot of use (I finished washing the night's dishes in the bathtub, which wasn't very sustainable). Plunging and other DIY clog-clearing methods did nothing.

I tried several plumbers I found online, but all said they couldn't by by until Monday at the earliest unless I paid a large emergency premium and they were also vague about the quotes, but generally said it would be approximately $300 (possibly more) to fix. Significantly more if anyone was to come before Monday.

By contrast, Mr. Jordan got back to me almost immediately and was at my house in only 40 minutes to help. He quoted me an unofficial estimate over the phone, which turned out to be accurate ($69 for the service call, plus about $259 for the clearing work). It took awhile to sort out, because my clog was a bit mysterious, but Mr. Jordan snaked a full 100 feet of our pipes and ultimately solved the problem. He also replaced my P-trap (sometimes called the U-bend), and only charged $5 for the materials necessary to do that. The other plumbers I spoke to estimated similar rates, but frankly, gave me a bit of condescending attitude over the phone. Mr. Jordan was completely lovely and polite, and didn't mind me watching him work while he explained what was being done (I like to understand as much as I can about the workings of my house). And as I say, he arrived very quickly to do the work, foregoing his own dinner, and staying past 9pm to make sure the problem was solved, (again, on a Saturday night), which was pretty amazing.

I recently had another plumber in to estimate on some other non-emergency work we wanted done, but wasn't happy with his lack of communication (the other plumber stopped replying to my emails and phone calls for no apparent reason, and never sent the quote he promised). Now, I plan to have Mr. Jordan do that work instead. Our sink problem wasn't cheap to solve, but I think the rates are reasonable for the market, and the service was excellent.

Jeffrey did a great job. He was at our place in under an hour to help with our plumbing emergency. He was extremely friendly and communicative as he was working on the repairs. He worked quickly and the price was reasonable! Highly recommend.

We’ve been dealing with leaks for a few months at our older home. We called Jordan Plumbing to get an estimate to repipe our house since our house’s polybutylene pipes had begun to fail. Jeffrey Jordan came out to walk through the house, explain clearly what the process would look like, and gave us an estimate. They were very accommodating and got us in to repipe the whole house on the subsequent Saturday (we made the initial call on Monday). We were so grateful that they were able to get us in so quickly. Jeffrey and his team came on time and worked very efficiently to get the whole repipe done in one day. They were also polite and communicative, keeping us updated with their progress and answering any questions we had. They cleaned up all the dust and other debris from cutting into the drywall to fix the pipes before they left and also referred us to a contractor who was able to come by and repair the drywall at a reasonable price. Overall it was a great experience and we will be using Jordan Plumbing in the future.

We had a sewage pipe issue that needed immediate attention. After getting a sky-high estimate from another vendor, I called Jordan Plumbing and a few other local companies for a second opinion. Mr Jordan came over that same day, explained the issue, described the fix, and wrote me an estimate that was literally HALF what the first company wanted to charge. They completed the job 2 days ahead of schedule and worked cleanly and efficiently. Not only that, but they stand by their work. I was/ am very impressed and have since saved their number for the future. Highly recommended.

Failed to complete job. Dug hole, left it unfilled with broken pipe by foundation. Quit and left with drain clogged. Replaced outdoor faucet did not seal opening in wall.
Totally wanted the money but not the work. The only thing they completed was the billing. Do not use.

The call to Jordan Plumbing was due to an issue (we found out) with the shower surround not being caulked - and water got behind the wall and mold was coming out the side of the wall. Jeffrey showed up at the house (after we paid $99 for the assessment and gas). We were not told in advance what their tiers of service charges were - my daughter paid an additional $429 for Jeffrey to Recaulk tub & shower (which were one in the same). AND, the mold on the wall was not removed! I received a call yesterday from their office and no adjustment was offered - but they did offer to come out and take care of the mold - NO THANK YOU! This is outrageous! Yes, the service fee was discussed, because I had to pay it in advance, but your tier of fees were NOT discussed. My daughter said that after the tub was caulked, she received the bill. Just not fair!

I recently called Jordan Plumbing to drain and service my water heater. He walked me through how to do this over the phone and told me how often I would need to drain it. Some great help free of charge!

I can't say enough good things about Jordan Plumbing. I had a pipe leak 6 months after I bought my townhouse because it was that bad polybutylene stuff. After meeting with Jeffrey I decided to get the entire house repiped. It seemed like a daunting task but I knew if I didn't do it, I would constantly worry there would be another leak. I'm so glad I did! As it turns out, it wasn't as expensive as quotes from other companies and Jeffrey and his team were quick, efficient and most of all kind. I wish I could hire him for all of my needs!

Jeffrey Jordan saved me once again. In 2016, he fixed a gushing water heater - thought he charged a fair price and fixed the water heater rather than replacing.

I called Jeffrey again to replace a leaky faucet. Based on prior experience expected a fair price. Instead, Jeffrey was going to charge me $499 to replace a faucet but gave me a bogus $60 discount.
Lowe's charges $159 and most plumbers charge up to $225 to replace a faucet.
I was sunk because the work was already done. It hurts because I've been out of work for almost three months and do not qualify for stimulus because I made too much in 2018.

Mr. Jordan has been in the business for more than 25 years and knows his stuff. He keeps that same standard for his employees. His team was able to come out and diagnose the issue and provide an estimate in a timely manner. We unfortunately needed a lot of work done, but they were able to schedule us for the same week.

Mr. Jordan himself called us to verify house layout and time frames so that we knew when to expect them. On the day of the service, the team arrived right on time and got to work right away. They took care to use covers on their shoes and put plastic down on the ground to keep the house clean.

From what we’ve surveyed around the area, the estimate they gave was appropriate and the fact that they could fit us in within a few days was amazing. They worked hard all day and Mr. Jordan made it a priority to keep us informed on what work they needed to do.

I had leak under the sink in the kitchen that was discovered when preparing a large meal for guests. This was on a Saturday night over the Christmas holiday weekend. i put a bucket under the sink to catch the water. I called Jeff and was expecting him to schedule a visit later in the week since this was a busy holiday period. He promptly scheduled a visit and replaced the garbage disposal which was the source of the leak. This was my second interaction with Jeff. He took care of some other plumbing problems several months previously. His prices are fair. The work is first rate and he is always courteous and professional. I have confidence that I have a plumbing problem in the future, day or night, it will be taken care of.

Got work done quickly at a fair price

Jordan Plumbing installed my RPZ Valve used for irrigation system backflow prevention per all Durham plumbing codes and everything passed inspection quickly. The work was completed in a high quality manner and the price was fair. I plan to use them again.

Jordan Plumbing was really great! We had an emergency clog that turned out to be a mainline sewer problem that they diagnosed quickly and accurately, and then fixed quickly. They're really responsive; I hadn't ever used them before and called them at 4:00 PM, and they were able to come at 8:00 AM the next day. They were professional, on-time, responsive, and charged really reasonable prices. Am planning on using them going forward, and would definitely recommend.

Excellent Service & repair

My experience with Jordan Plumbing was entirely positive. He arrived on time, explained what needed to be done and set immediately to work. When he encountered what I thought would be a major problem, he quickly found a solution I hadn't considered.

I broke off a garden water spigot at night, was pouring out had to shut off all the water to the house. Exactly what I was looking for in a contractor!

I discovered Jordan Plumbing when I came home one day and saw his truck parked in front of my neighbor's house where Mr. Jordan was working on a job. I had contacted my regular go-to plumbing service twice before this, but they never replied back to the VMs I left them, so I stepped over to my neighbor's home and asked him to stop by my house across the street when he was done to give me an estimate to fix some plumbing issues I was having, and he did. He assessed the problems, determined what would have to be done to fix them, and wrote up an estimate for how much it would costs me and when he was available to do the repairs.

The things I look for in a contractor upon meeting them or hiring them for the first time, in order of importance, are:

courtesy/respect/professionalism
expertise/trustworthiness/costs
reliability/dependability/integrity

Because of my history of having worked in certain fields in the past, I have a little knowledge about the issues of my home that require the services of a contractor, and can thus often determine when first talking to them if they know what they are talking about, and if they are charging me what I believe to be more than what I think is fair.

After talking with Mr. Jordan, then hiring him to perform the work I needed done, and seeing the results of his work, I would recommend him to anyone who requires plumbing work:

He was straight-forward, direct and communicated clearly to me what would need to be done;
When he was doing the work, he kept me informed about any unforseen issues he ran into and laid out for me what would need to be done to overcome the issues;
His prices were more than reasonable for the work he performed
He and his crew were punctual, courteous, respectful and professional to me & my family.
He finished the repairs in less time than I thought it would take

I was told I had a gas leak, and received an estimate by a large, nationally-known plumbing company.The plumber quoted me $1069.19 plus the consult fee. I called my husband, and he said we should get a second opinion because the repair did not seem as if it should be that expensive. I called Jordan Plumbing, and they immediately fit me in the same day. He came to check out my gas leak, he kept me involved and even asked me to walk up to the attic with him so he could show me what was wrong. When he was about to fix it, I was a little nervous because of what the other company quoted me. Before he started, I asked him how much it would cost, and he replied that it was a minor repair and wouldn’t cost much. He showed me the pricing manual his company uses and how much it would cost to repair the gas leak- almost $1,000 less than the first company. I couldn’t believe the amount he quoted me was so low. I showed him what the other company said, and he said the other company was trying to get over on me. I am so thankful for Jordan Plumbing; he saved me $1000. He took the time to involve me in the process, and the pricing was GREAT!!! I will definitely call Jordan Plumbing if I have any plumbing concerns again.

The Folks at Jordan Plumbing were very courteous and helpful. Several items fixed in my home. Two additional visits made to my home to work on new hoses applied to washing machine - water would not flow into the washer. Ended up the new hoses I purchased were faulty! Jordan Plumbing literally saved our Christmas! They were in our driveway 5 minutes after we called at 3:30 on the Saturday before CHRISTMAS! They are fair and upfront about their fees! This is a gem in Durham's ring!

The work was apparently accomplished in an appropriate fashion; no complaints about that. The work done was replacing a pressure reducing valve, because of the increase in water pressure in our area of Cary. My problem is with the charges. I was charged $540 for replacing this valve. Several of my neighbors also had to replace their pressure reducing valves and their charges from different licensed plumbers were on the average $250. I should have done my homework.

Mr. Jordan and his team replaced a water heater for me earlier this year. It was an emergency service that he completed in 24hrs. I have also referred him to my family in Burlington for a couple of repairs. He has been the utmost professional and provided superior service. finally, the workers who came out and provided the work, Brian and Flavio, were incredibly respectful, nice and hard working. and while i feel the price was very steep, these two young men represented Jordan Plumbing very well, and it is because of them that i would use Jordan's Plumbing again.

On two occasions when we have needed plumbing sevices Jordan Plumbing came within an hour of our requests. The first time Jeffrey helped identify the issue as being the responsibility of the water company and even called them to straighten out the situation. The second time was to install a new water heater after the bottom of our old one rusted out.

Mr. Jordan and his associate arrived on time for a scheduled appt this morning and quickly stepped through this list of issues. After doing an initial round of assessment, he and I came to terms on pricing before he began the work. That's actually not quite true -- he'd already repaired my garbage disposal and dropped a bit of wisdom by the time we got to this step. I was a bit surprised by his fees. I've been around the plumbing block a few times in my life -- in a few cities located across our nation -- and his fees are the highest I've paid. That said, I decided to proceed with the work and I'm glad I did. Everything he touched works better now and I have trust in him and the work performed, warranty and all. It takes a village to make a home work [well] and I'm happy to add Jordan Plumbing and Maintenance to my stable of experts that help me with mine.

I cannot say how happy I am to have found the right plumbing team the first time around! This is now the third time I've requested the services of Jordan Plumbing & Maintenance and each time, I've stepped away confident that the job was done correctly! We contacted Jordan Plumbing to address a sewage leak in our crawl space. Mr. Jordan was easy to communicate with and came out the next business day to give an estimate. While replacing the rotted cast iron plumbing, he and his team found that our kitchen sink plumbing was not operating correctly and they addressed that as well, at no additional cost to us. I can't say enough about Jordan Plumbing. Jeffrey is extremely knowledgeable and efficient. I've used the company several times and every time I've been extremely happy with the service. This last time we had raw sewage coming up a drain in our basement. I purposely waited four days (as Jeffrey was very busy) to make sure we got Jeffrey to take care of our problem. He had a machine that cleaned the blockage in the pipes, and he checked several pipes next to our septic system to make sure everything was good. Jeffrey is a plumber I trust explicitly.

Total ripoff. I was charged $499 to replace a faucet that he insisted I buy before arriving. The hose had been leaking it was fairly new faucet. Jeff took my old faucet without asking - I have rental properties. 45 minutes of work $499 not close to range of $129 - $159 for faucet replacements.

The charges were not discussed. Never was I asked to take my faucet for you to refurb. The charges are ridiculous for 45 minutes of work.

My husband and I are moving from Chapel Hill to our first house in Durham. Naturally the water heater broke shortly after we bought the house. I called Jordan plumbing yesterday (during the COVID19 crisis!) and they installed a completely new up to code water heater early this morning (a Saturday). Jordan plumbing was extremely responsive and transparent through the whole process. From the very beginning they were up front about costs, and when they went to inspect the source of our water heater failure, they texted me pictures of the issue as I was not present at the new house when they went over. They were extremely professional and courteous, as well as extremely efficient and fast in addressing the issue. I would highly recommend them. I'm extremely grateful for their help.

This company came highly recommended to me from many of our neighbors. I had a good experience with Jordan plumbing. I called on Saturday morning, and we got scheduled for my non-urgent problem for Monday afternoon. The job (flange repair and install of toilet downstairs and replacing a persistent leaky toilets upstairs) took about 2.5 hours with two men. They were careful and didn’t rush. I am a new homeowner and everything feels painfully expensive to me, but I think the charge was comparable to other companies. I will use this company again and recommend to my friends!

I’ve used Jordan’s multiple times. Once for a kitchen remodel which involved moving pipes. They have also come for small services like backed up toilets and faucet replacement. They communicate well and are very professional. I feel comfortable with his team in my home. He also explains everything he’s doing in a way that I can understand and has standard pricing. He has a book so all customers are treated fairly. He’s the best plumber I’ve used. I recommend him 100%.

I called a few plumbers and Jordan Plumbing answered right away and sent a plumber the same day. The woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful. I got a conformation call from the plumber Jeffrey and he was very prompt. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything in terms that I could understand. He showed me what the problem was and what he needed to do. He quoted a very reasonable price and I had him fix the problem. While he was here he fixed my shower faucet as well. His work was exceptional and I would recommend him to everyone. I’ve got more projects and I will be calling him again! Thank you Jeffrey!!!

I called Jordan Plumbing about 5:00 pm today expecting to get voice mail, but I spoke with the dispatcher who said she would contact the plumber within the hour. Not ten minutes later did I hear from Mr. Jordan who said he'd be at my house in a half hour, which he was. He came in, looked at my sink and the pipes in the basement and proceeded to clear the clogged drain in a few minutes. He gave me some sage advice about the layout of the pipes as well. I know I will call Jordan Plumbing first the next time I need plumbing help. Fast, efficient, personable.

We had a pretty serious plumbing issue that needed a quick resolution. We got several quotes and Jordan’s was by far the most reasonable, and they explained everything that was wrong with our system and exactly how they would fix it and how we could prevent it from recurring in the future. It was actually pretty interesting to learn and they were so knowledgeable! Great guys that came to do the repair, very professional, would absolutely use again.

I called on a Friday about my garbage disposal and spoke to lovely Maxine, and she mentioned that the earliest anyone can get to us was Wednesday which was fine by us. Then, I got a call 30 minutes later from Jeffrey saying that he will be by in an hour! That is amazing that they were able to come the same day. Jeffrey fixed my disposal in no time and gave me advice on how to prevent needing plumbing services in the future which was very helpful. From beginning to end the service was phenomenal.
