Mike and Jacob arrived at the time estimated by Full Stack, about an hour after we called for help here in Chatham County. They were courteous and professional, studied our situation (lack of hot water), and determined that the recirculation pump had been switched off inadvertently. Remarkably good and honest. Here's one story that illustrates:

- We had raw sewage coming out of our basement drain - the result of some odd plumbing decisions made by a prior owner combined with a grey water system modern houses don't have (our house was built in the 1930s)

- Given the odd setup, the team initially tasked with our house decided to bring in Curry, the firm's owner, for additional perspective. On his first visit (the firm's second), he outlined a fairly extensive (and expensive!) rerouting of the plumbing. We readily agreed to that.

- But Curry acknowledged that he wasn't sure - and asked if he could return again with additional equipment before we moved forward. Of course, we agreed. On his return, Curry was able to identify the odd but generally workable setup that had caused the original problem and confirm that so long as a key pipe that had become blocked up is properly maintained, the multi-day plumbing exercise we'd been braced for was not needed.

We called Curry in an emergency at 9pm, and he was at our place by 9am to fix our problem. He not only fixed the issue but also inspected our crawl space to ensure that there was no further damage.

We had a small leak in one of the fittings at our tankless water heater. Ben made the repairs quickly and professionally. We’ll definitely be using Full Stack for any future plumbing needs.

Ben and CW installed a Rinnai tankless water heater last month and I couldn't be more satisfied with the process from getting the estimate to installation. We had a 20+ year-old water heater that was limping along and for not much more than a 50-gallon tank, we opted to go with a Rinnai tankless system. Full Stack did not try to oversell me on which tankless model to go with, rather they understood my needs and recommended the middle of the road model. Ben and CW showed up on-time and in a couple of hours we had a brand new tankless water heater. They were quick and efficient, left the garage cleaner than when they arrived, and did not leave until they had sufficiently tested the system to make sure there were no problems. We now have unlimited on-demand hot water. No more waiting for the hot water to heat up after a couple of showers. I can't thank the team at Full-Stack Plumbing for the great work that they do. They have earned all of my future plumbing business. Thank you Full-Stack!

Corey came out, asked my Father In Law what he wanted from the repair since it was a leak at an outdoor joint where a faucet once was. My FIL told him he just wanted it terminated / capped and that's what Corey did. Full stack charged half of what another firm quoted the day before. My FIL said he was very professional, personal and showed up to get the job done. I do property management and general brokerage real estate so I often have a need to hire a plumber. Mike was a professional and courteous technician. He wore a mask and took off his shoes when doing our disposal and water filter install in our new home. We have used Full Stack twice now and highly recommend them. Punctual and quick service with reasonable prices.

I found full stack to be poor communicators. They charged me almost double than what they originally quoted for a job without communicating any of the additional charges until the plumber was gone and they sent the quote the following day. I would go with someone else for your plumbing needs.

Another excellent job, this time by Mike Christ from full stack Plumbing. Mike replaced and repaired all the plumbing fittings underneath my sink, and installed a new garbage disposal. Full stack was very responsive to my need for service on a short notice situation. I've been very satisfied with each of my three occasions to use full stack for my plumbing needs!

**CUSTOMER ADVISORY**

If you're considering hiring Full Stack Plumbing, a word of advice: DO NOT sign their Acknowledgement Paragraph or their Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement!

If my experience is their standard practice, you'll be presented with those forms on an iPad for signature, after the work is done and with no advance time to read the documents or determine whether the work actually was satisfactorily completed. For most plumbing work, and particularly work on a sewer line (as in my situation), there's no way to know at that moment whether the work was properly and satisfactorily completed. Until there's been a chance to use the plumbing, any unresolved problems will be undiscovered.

The Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement is particularly overreaching. It purports to be a waiver of ALL claims against Full Stack and its employees for ANY damage, loss or injury caused by ANYTHING they did, including as a result of their gross negligence. It also says it's a waiver of the right to bring any claim or lawsuit or seek any damages for any loss caused by Full Stack. So, according to their form, they could act in a grossly negligent manner, or intentionally cause damage, and they'd claim they're not responsible. I've dealt with a lot of contractors and contractor waivers over the years, and this is the most overreaching form I've seen.

If you're dissatisfied with Full Stack's work (as I was), and later try to reach a settlement, they'll point to their documents and say they have no obligation to resolve the situation. When you tell them you'll dispute a charge with your credit card company (a consumer's right under federal credit policies), they'll threaten to sue you. Apparently, their waiver of the right to bring legal claims only goes one way.

Full Stack came twice to clear a root ball in our main sewer line using hydrojetting equipment (they said their root cutting equipment was broken), but failed to eliminate the roots (see photos below). After their first visit, they failed to properly re-connect a sewer cleanout, resulting in a sewage spill in the forest. They charged an exorbitant amount for those two visits, without providing any estimate in advance, just a total presented at the end (their explanation for the high charge was that hydrojetting equipmenet is expensive). I then called Roto-Rooter, which was able to quickly remove the roots from the sewer line, and its bill was 1/3 the amount Full Stack charged.

There are plenty of plumbing options to choose from. If you decide to hire Full Stack, don't sign their overreaching and questionable documents!

We have done two largish projects with Full Stack Plumbing, and we've been totally satisfied both times. The first was a complete re-piping of an older plumbing system on a small house. CW and his crew swarmed into our crawlspace and replaced all of our worn-out, leak-prone metal pipes with new PEX pipes over the course of about four hours. No problems since. The second project was at a different house and involved rerouting some drain pipes and installing a new washing machine hookup. In both of these projects they proved themselves to be competent, communicative, flexible, and competitively priced. They never tried to upsell us and (as far as I can tell anyway) they didn't cut any corners. It's nice to have plumbers you can trust, and I believe we've found that with Full Stack. Next time we need any plumbing work, we will not be looking anywhere else.

The technician did not follow our instructions as to what we needed done. They told us they didn't do the drain type we were using and would connect to it later. When we installed the drain, a pipe needed to be cut. When they came to reinstall the pipe, they said didn't have the part needed and left with no communication with us. It was early enough in the day that they could've gotten the part. Now they are walking away or pushing us out two weeks when the inspector is scheduled next week. There are other alternatives in the area, use them.

Update:

While the update certainly reads well from a marketing perspective, the bottom line is that this company took a full price check and delivered part time results. On top of this their inability to communicate with their customer correctly and be fully prepared for their work, would have pushed us back more if not for other options we have found. And unlike the insinuation in the owners update, their was nothing that was requested that wouldn't meet code, simply a company full of themselves and falling well short of expectations. Look elsewhere ladies and gentlemen there are many other options that will finish the work without delay or communication breakdowns.

My water heater broke and after getting a very high quote from another company I called Full Stack on a Thursday at 0800. They fit me in to give a quote by 1100 and offered to schedule my replacement the next day or Saturday, whatever was most convenient. A very low pressure environment where they encouraged me to see what fit my budget. Out of Lowes, ARS, Dr. Drain, and Home Depot they were the most affordable, timely, and highest quality.

Called them over the Christmas to NYE week (when many other plumbing companies were entirely closed) and they promptly fit us in to their schedule. They came out and quickly assessed and diagnosed our hot water heater issue (leak/corrosion).
They returned the next business day after NYE and very quickly removed and replaced our hot water heater. It was actually less expensive than the emergency replacement we had just four years earlier (for an inferior product).

Wow. CW (Curry) and Ethan installed a Rinnai tankless water heater at my house today. We merged two independent hot water supply lines to make one recirculating line. Ben was courteous, efficient, and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the source of the leak and fixed it along with a couple other minor leaks that would have caused bigger problems in the near future. I had a plumbing disaster 3 days ago with my MBR toilet very early in the morning. I Called approximately 8:00 am and was given a 10:00 an appointment. The team arrived on time; vacuumed the water, removed the broken fixture and Installed a brand new toilet, The entire job was completed in an hour. This is my second time using Full Stack Plumbing . This company is definately top notch. We had a major water heater leak and were facing alot of repairs to our finished lower level due to water damage that occured over the Memorial day weekend. I called Full Stack on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning they came out and assessed the problem as well as options for what type of water heater would be best to install to prevent this from occurring again. By 1 that afternoon everything was fixed. They did a fantastic professional job on the installation and they were very fairly priced. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them in the future if I need any other repairs done.

I was never given the chance to ask anything I really needed a new water heater so at the end I was just handed a very blurry tablet with the price total. the bottom line is they overcharge a lot.never given a cost for labor or a price for the heather

Woody and Ben were extremely helpful, showed up when they said they were going and they immediately saw the challenge, fixed it promptly, and the price was really reasonable. Ok, if you're older - like me - you remember the days when small businesses were responsible, reliable, prompt, courteous, hard-working, dependable, etc. Well, we found that in Full Stack Plumbing. It's almost unbelievable that a business like this exists today. There was absolutely nothing to complain about from 1st contact on Sunday until our septic pump was replaced on Wednesday. Curry immediately knew what the situation was once he looking into the system and gave us our options. We knew exactly when he was in route to our house and the timing of everything was exactly the way he called it on Monday - no last minute changes.
So, when something so potentially serious as a plumbing issue happens to you, call these guys and get the best service and efficiency that you possibly can. They get it done right and at the time they tell you.
Put down your google search - this isn't Amazon - call Full Stack and get the problem solved so that you can get on with your life...

The business was very accommodating when they heard about about a poor experience with home depot and came right out the next day to fix the issue. They were able to work with a gas stove which apparently many are not. They were respectful and timely and proficient.

They had a Saturday appointment,
which was amazingly helpful. Curry showed up promptly with the time they told me. He quickly and professionally diagnosed and fixed our leak with very little problems. The price for the visit was definitely reasonable. I've been charged way more by other plumbers who were far less effective or clean.

Update: I used Full Stack again. Mitchell was great. Explained everything he did and showed me everything worked with no problems. Great, reliable service again and a reasonable price! If you live in the Pittsboro are, and need plumbing, you gotta use Full Stack.
