My air conditioner gave out in 105 degree weather. When I called Emmet was unable to make it out that evening but put me on the schedule for the next day at noon.Emmet arrived at my house on time, spoke to me about the symptoms I was seeing and got right to work. Emmet quickly identified the root causes of my problem, got my approval and fixed them. Because it's an old system and he can't guarantee how long the fix will last (related to the coolant filter-dryer not being in good shape anymore) he didn't charge me beyond the service call. The whole experience left me feeling relieved, not screwed which I was very worried about. Emmet was clean, knowledgeable and articulate. I'm happy to continue to do business with him and Dial One.

It’s been a very difficult experience. Barbosa is not standing behind their work. They are claiming things that are not factual and saying that Jack, the 73 year old owner, signed off on the work. This is simply not true as Jack has no idea what has been done. He gets confused easily. It's an unethical way of handling an unfortunate situation. Barbosa is also claiming the problems happened due to small space in the attic and this is false. The attic is long and roomy.We hired Barbosa in August 2018 to replace our metal duct work in townhouse (built in 1979) and add a few returns/grills. They sold us Antimicrobial ductwork and a REME HALO after sharing allergy sensitivities and my son’s onset asthma. The antimicrobial ductwork is very cool but, unfortunately, the REME is typically not recommended for people with breathing problems. My son got back on an inhaler soon after and the air/HVAC is still not right in here. We ended up turning off the REME a week or so after they installed it but the REME was not removed until Jan 8th, 2019.We learned recently that the owner’s son left the company and did not file a permit for the original work in Aug. JP informed us that we had a case of negative air pressure by not having a large enough return. They doubled the size of the return 2 weeks ago and replaced the 4” filter which was filthy. However, during the visit, one of the crew broke through the ceiling directly above my desk. I was on a live video call with the COO of company and my boss saw the entire thing and took pics. Fortunately, no one was physically hurt but it was a big mess and required time and logistics. Barbosa is claiming that this hole occurred when removing the REME but the location of the hole and where the REME was installed are in two completely different locations. My desk is in the dining room and the location of the handler (REME's location) is above the kitchenBarbosa fixed the hole but have not addressed a replacement air purifier in lieu of removing the REME. They told us we had a previous balance and removing the REME eliminated the balance and that we must pay for another option? Since the work on Jan 8th, the hole and removing the REME, the air in the house smells musty. The townhouse has been completely remodeled (attic insulation removed, sanitized and replaced with new insulation at the time of initial work.) It’s very discouraging bc my son feels better when he’s not here.Barbosa (JP) told me that a cleaning crew would come in after the work was done (in lieu of the mess) and they would address switching the REME for the Bi-Polar Bear purifier. Neither has happened. I am going to contact a health inspector and another a/c company for a second opinion. They were dishonest with the city inspector and he is not aware of all the facts.

We had Jonathan, from Milestone replace our ground rod. Jonathan did a great job. Everything was explained and cost was already predetermined by Milestone. All the equipment needed was already in the tech van. We have used Milestone for years and we are very happy with the quality of their technicians.

WARNING - DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! Approximately 4 years ago we had 2 new AC units installed by A Star and have had no issue until this year. One unit stopped working and we called to have them come out and determine the issue. After cancelling on us twice and then finally coming after a week from the first contact, the technician told us our condenser was not working and requested a paper trail of our maintenance to have the warranty cover the part. He said he would request the part without the paperwork and would let us know. After 2 weeks of hearing nothing, I attempted to contact the office to get an update on the status and was told a manager would contact me, Jeremy. NO CONTACT. Then I called again and was told Stacey would reach out to me but they were in a manager meeting. It has been 3 days and still NO ONE has attempted to contact me. Now we have had another company come out and were told that the condenser was not the issue but that the previous technician CUT the low and high pressure switches and compressor 2nd stage solenoid wires, which by the way may in fact VOID our WARRANTY!!!! Simply put, the technician had no idea how to fix our unit and the company's NONRESPONSE to returning my call for an update on our unit is UNACCEPTABLE! I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this company for your AC repairs! Make sure your repairman knows what they are talking about and are reputable! Good luck!UPDATE: Although the company has responded to my review, again NO CONTACT has been made to rectify or even reach out to me regarding this situation. Par for the course on how the whole situation has been handled! Next steps, the BBB!Unfortunate that it has to come to this, it's called Integrity, you should do what you say you are going to do. Everyone makes mistakes, but you should at least own them and TRY to make adjustments.NEWER UPDATE: Owner contacted us and has rectified the situation. Turns out the coil and the high pressure switch were both bad, they have replaced and the unit is working now! Thank you for making good on your work and standing by your company.

I've used Levy & Son for about 25 years. The first time, my heating stopped working over a weekend when temperatures were below 10 degrees. I called a different company to come out and they said the unit needed to be replaced and a cost of five or six thousand dollars. I decided to get a second opinion and called Levy & Son at my sister's recommendation. They had the heating working again in less than 15 minutes. Over the years since then, including replacing the heating/air conditioning unit three times, they have always been efficient and courteous. Most recently, Michael and Horacio came out. I was very pleased with their work. I have also been very satisfied with their plumbing services.

I called in the morning and Jerry was there that afternoon. He went straight to the problem and corrected it right away. Very polite and very professional!

The company is great. They have serviced our house for all our needs and our rental property. they are always on time and they stay till the job is done. I recommend them to anyone that needs plumbing or hvac service.

Don't believe their free estimates. When they don't have work they will come out. When they have work, they will let you know you are out of your mind to ask for an estimate (would've been ok with you saying you are busy). I totally get that contractors are busy during these times, but when you accuse me of something that is so far from my character, I have to draw the line. The dude pretty much said i'm playing with contractors by asking for an estimate. The contractor said that he is making a lot of money with so many projects (after the winter storm) that he believes me asking him for an estimate is playing with contractors? I'm totally ok with you all never coming out to give me an estimate. No need to work with J National ever! When the work all dries up and some folks are looking for jobs to be done to their homes, I do hope this review will deter them away. That one contractor that called me is narcissistic. I won't name him, but i'm pretty sure most employees that work around him are aware of this as well.
