Best Repair in Columbus OH

Had a water backup and called Hesson to scope the 4 inch drain in my basement floor where the backup occurred. They had an opening the day I called and were able to come out right away to perform the scope. The technician was very knowledgable and spent the time answering all our questions. Truly appreciated the quick response, professionalism and time spent with us. Would recommend for any plumbing needs.

I had the worst experience with a competitor that was 4 hours outside the repair window so I called these guys. Unfortunately, they couldn't come out right away, but they had a cancelation and called back. They were here in no time and knew exactly what I needed. Repaired my kitchen sink, made sure everything worked properly and answered any questions I had.

I had to move my family out of our house due to sewer gas leak that they “worked“ on for over 7 weeks! Eventually, I personally found the issue/source and resolved in half a day (4 hours) with help of another local plumber !!!! Jack woods never found the source. I paid $450 for a solution they claimed was the issue (it was not). 12 weeks later, they have audacity to send me a bill for over $1,000!! Horrible responsiveness. If you want to wait 7 weeks for for someone to not find the issue or fix anything... then send you an invoice for $1,400, please choose Jack Woods.

I’ve used A Better Drain several times now and Stacy is definitely my go to plumber. When my hot water tank went out I called Stacy and he came out and accessed the issue but unfortunately it was rusted out and a new tank was needed. Stacy escalated me to the top of his schedule and installed the new water tank within a day of me purchasing. He even picked it up for me as I had no way to transport the tank from Lowe’s to my house. He is courteous and friendly and quick to respond. He knows his stuff and I highly recommend him for any plumbing issues big or small.

Gary was punctual and professional. He ended up spending several hours at my home, and did not rush through any of the work. Gary kept me updated about the work being done and the work needing to be done. And — the total cost was affordable. -much cheaper than what the company sent out by my home warranty company wanted to charge. I am very pleased with the service and will absolutely recommend him to others.

Calhoun Plumbing came out last week as my main sewer line was clogged, They said they fixed the clog but it was backed up again after 6 days. The city was out doing line work and when I told them my line was backed up they ran a camera and said I have roots blocking my line. I called Calhoun and they then recommended I do a $550 service. I asked why they didn't do this last week and they advised they wouldn't have known what the issue was at the time (isn't that why I called them?). I asked for a credit of the $170 I paid last week to be applied to the new service and they said that work wasn't warranted. I took my business to Drainbusters and they did an excellent job same day. I'll be using them going forward.

We have had now 3 service calls with these guys and they are top notch. Truly professional, knowledgeable - it’s like we have a new house thanks to them. Cannot endorse these guys enough!! Thank you!!

Both my wife and I called for a rather important plumbing issue. We were both told separately that we'd be called back to schedule it and it never happened. We ended up having to go with a different company. It is inexcusable to leave a customer hanging like that and I definitely would NOT recommend using this company for your plumbing needs...

My washer was not draining and backing up. I called G-tech, and they were here the same day and were very nice/professional. They were able to find the problem, fix it, and cleaned up afterward. It has been working ever since. Would definitely call them again.

BEWARE - VINYL LINER REPAIR - BEWARE

Before you consider calling American Leak Detection for a pool repair, I think it is fair that you know that this company will only guarantee their work for 48-hours. If they leave, and your pool is still losing water, you have 2 days to find out and report it.

What happens if they patch my liner and the patch comes loose on the third day? Too bad. You just spent $367.00 and have nothing to show for it.

When will they tell me about this policy? They will tell you after you've paid, not before you've paid. If fact, they won't even tell you in person. It will be in an invoice, that is emailed to you, and in an attached document, in the fine print.

What does this $367 cover? Not a whole lot. Their tech came over, looked into my pool, and patched a hole near the edge where my deck was, so that he didn't have to get in the water. He said it was a simple fix and that he could probably just charge me for a leak test (which they didn't). He told me that he ran a test, on a day with 20 mph winds and strong gusts, and that my pool was no longer leaking. (I did not get to see these test results.) I asked him if he checked for any other leaks - I was told no. I asked if he was going to dive into the pool, and check the perimeter, the seams, the skimmer seal. I was told he was not. He told me he guaranteed his work. He told me to watch it for a few days, make sure that it wasn't leaking, and to give them a call if I had any problems.

I immediately marked the water level in the pool, and filled a bucket of water to compare. The water level dropped over half an inch the first day. I marked it again the next day. After a few days, and a couple of days with rain, I checked and I had still lost 3 inches. My bucket had lost 1/4 - I called first thing Monday morning. My pool was still leaking.

I was IMMEDIATELY told that they would not do a single thing. They referred me to their policy - 48 hours - and that if the patch doesn't hold they would have to come back out. I was told that they would only come back out for another $367.00 - they will do NOTHING after 48-hours.

I however, can GUARANTEE that I will not be calling this company again.

Jake was so professional and helpful. He offered options and explained each option. He was on time and communicative. I would definitely work with him again. They responsiveness of this business during covid was so appreciated, especially when so many companies are unable to respond and never offer a live voice on the other end of the phone.
