Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Excellent service. Came very quickly after my call. Technician Seth took his time, explained everything to me, and made sure that my problem (clogged main house drain/sewer line) was completely fixed. My experience was very good with this company and I would highly recommend them.

We didn't realize our sump pump broke until late Friday night, and Roto Rooter was one of the few businesses available to help us out as water slowly drenched the carpet in our basement. Josh took his time explaining the whole process to us, even giving us our options if we didn't want to go with them as our clean up/repair business. The fact they were so on top of taking care of our problem, but also so knowledgeable and willing to take the time with us to answer all our questions - I will definitely be using them again for my plumbing problems.

Plumber was excellent. Prices were high. Did not appreciate the guy they sent ahead of the plumber trying to shake down for insurance claim work. Claimed there was mold on a freshly flooded toilet that we had laid new sub floor and painted red rubber sealant like you do around showers. Surrounded on top of that by water proof tile. Come on man. That was a total shake down for more cash. Then told me they could replace the flapper kit in the tank for another 400$. I was willing to pay 400 to have them pull the stool and reset it because that’s a pain and it’s a more physical job. But not to replace a 25$ flapper. Great plumber. He doesn’t set the prices. Janky shake down for insurance claims work. Prices are ridiculous.

I had them come out to replace a hose bib on the outside of a rental. I live in Pittsburgh so it's difficult for me to get down there so I have to rely on the people I hire. He quoted me around $600. I felt like he's already there and if I say no, now I have to coordinate with the tenant again. Anyway, it came to $670 for a job that google lists should cost about $250. He charged me $85 to drive and get the hose bib which he listed as $107! I feel completely ripped off. Completely.

I was very impressed. My toilet had been running for days. I tried to figure it out myself, but I couldn’t so I had a frustration I called Roto router, fully expecting to pay over 100 bucks. However, their professional man came in, looked at my toilet, and said that the flapper Had come off of some thing and he fixed it and now it works perfectly. When I asked how much I owed he said nothing he didn’t really do any service work. I did tip them great company. They came out in two hours on a Sunday and didn’t charge me Doesn’t get any better than that

Roto-Rooter did a water mitigation for my basement when the water heater leaked. The remediation was fine, overall, and done quickly. The agreement I was given after the fact had clearly not been signed by me, the signature did not match mine and the initials were not how I enter them. The really poor part was the water heater replacement quote. I was out of town and my wife was given attitude when she requested a written estimate. We then were given a hand written estimate of $6000 for a 50 gallon unit. The tank was estimated at $3900 and labor at $2100. The tank was a standard Home Depot unit available for $1300. When we refused the work my wife was given more attitude for “wasting his time.

I had Brandon come into my home and I showed him where/ what the problem was and he right away pretty much knew what was wrong. He had great communication and walked me step by step on what he was going to do to fix the problem. The work was done quickly and successfully! Great job.

Sent out one group of techs that weren't able to fix a water leak and showed up a few minutes late. The second plumber to come out did the job well and was very friendly and professional. The work seems good quality as well. Overpriced though.

Josh came out quickly after we realized that our sump pump failed. He was one of the most knowledgeable people I’ve ever met, he answered all of our questions. He was very pleasant & professional. The work has not been completed, so I cannot comment on that yet.

Since it involves sewage, I was disappointed when we called around 730 and they were unable to accommodate us until the next morning, as we had no water and sewage in our basement.But once our technician, Chris came out, he was professional, understanding, knowledgeable, and very helpful so Glad we waited till the next morning

The techs that came out were so helpful and knowledgeable. They were patient with me and walked me through the issues- their assistance was greatly appreciated. Decided to use them for mitigation as well it was such a positive experience.

Very excellent job by Chris. Went above expectations. I was disapointed with the wait time however. They were scheduled to arrive between 10am and 2pm. Did not get on site till 6:30 PM. Very professional work though. Would not hesitate to use again.

RotoRooter called us during the window they said they would. the plumber who showed up (Brandon) was very professional and courteous. He was able to clear the tree roots from our sewer lines and was crystal clear about what the issue we had and what he needed to do to resolve it. We had issues with RotoRooter many years ago but they’ve done great the last couple of times we’ve called them out for service.

Mike Seeley, service technician was extremely professional and friendly. He took his time in looking into our issues and in explaining the problem and what needed to be done to fix the issue. I will call Roto Rooter again because of his quality service

Josh came out within 45 minutes to my original call to the company. He was quick to find and explain the issue. Sump pump was fixed same day and we are now scheduled for next steps in mitigation.

He was very prompt to arrive at our home. The fee was very reasonable and the job was very quick and good quality. We are very happy.

We contacted Roto-Rooter on a Saturday due to a backed up sewer line. Unlike a couple of other companies we contacted, they responded promptly and sent out a technician (Chris) who was very personable, professional and solved our problem.

Ww called for an appointment, the first gentleman that came was not qualified to unclog the drain. They sent a second person. He unclogged the drain. Then he couldn't run the camera through the pipe. So he said another person would come. They called and said they would be two hours out. We paid the first serviceman in full for all services. Needless to say, the third man didn't show up. Said we would be on his schedule from 8am to 10am the next day. 10am came and no show. Called and was told they do not service my area on weekends. So, it would be Monday...I have my grandfather's funeral on Monday, so It will now be Tuesday. What a circus!! They took my money and quit the job. This is absolutely crazy!

I called at 4PM on Saturday with a leaking water heater. The tank was well over its useful life by decades and we knew this would happen eventually... Robert, the tech, was dispatched in less than 10 minutes and arrived within the hour. He was professional, courteous, and gave us a full explanation to operate our new water heater. We had hot water by my toddler's bath time. The removal/installation was completed in roughly three hours from dispatch. Very impressed and the fee was incredibly reasonable for the quality of service. I sincerely appreciate when techs cleanup up their work area and my house was prestine when Robert left.

We have had them out twice now! Super professional and very helpful to someone who has no idea what is going on. This is our first home!

I’m very pleased with the prompt, professional service! My septic system clogged on a Saturday afternoon leaving me unable to flush toilets or run water. Everyone I dealt with today was very helpful, accommodating & pleasant. After building a new home, we have had 18 months of working with lots of contractors and specialists, and James stands out as one of the most professional and honest people we have gotten to work with. James was patient with our questions, honest in his recommendations and pricing, and punctual. His work was clean and you can see that he takes pride in his craft. My elderly parents’ plumbing clogged up and due to a serious medical condition it was imperative the toilets were in working order. We called on a Sunday, Father’s Day, and they were there in about an hour. Tommy and Jenson were so nice, friendly, professional, neat. They answered our questions, did the job quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up afterwards like it never happened. Absolutely would recommend.

The service repairman was very knowledgeable and efficient. He arrived on time and went straight to work. He went over possible scenarios of my repair issue w/ me and answered all my questions. He called in my info so I could have the supervisor come out and give me an estimate for further work to be done. I would definitely use the company again.

Both gentlemen here today were as nice as they could be as well as being exceptionally professional. The gentleman who cleared the sewer line did so quickly and left the area cleaner that he found it. The other gentleman asked me if I had filed a claim with my homeowners insurance. I didn't realize my homeowners insurance would pay part of the cost of the total bill. He even helped me file a claim with the insurance company. Both gentlemen made the experience of having my sewer back up a much more pleasant experience than I ever imagined. And the clean up crew is due here in about an hour, that is only about an hour and a half after the sewer was cleared.

This company is AWESOME! I called to have someone come look at my hot water heater that is leaking. Have had it for 16 years. We are aware it probably has to be replaced. Spoke with someone on the phone initially and scheduled appointment for Tuesday, July 12th but then went online to see if I could schedule an earlier appointment. Was able to schedule someone to come out to look at the hot water heater today July 9th between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. before I could even finish scheduling for another company just in case Bobby from Roto Rooter was calling. Didn't know it until my husband asks did you call Roto Rooter? It had been only 15 minutes and he was pulling up in front of our house well before 6 p.m.!! THANK GOD FOR ROTO ROOTER!! Bobby came out within less than 30 minutes of my online inquiry TODAY and replaced my hot water heater TODAY!! Bobby is AMAZING!!! Very professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. This is my second time using Roto Rooter and will DEFINITELY NOT BE MY LAST TIME!! You all have GREAT PEOPLE working for you. Bobby is 1 in a million and definitely deserves ALL PAY INCREASES coming his way.

I really appreciated that when I found a whole washer worth of water in my basement today, I called Roto Rooter and within an hour of my call, a nice gentleman was at my door to help. The drain in my basement floor was completely clogged and he fixed the problem quickly. Very professional and I appreciate him so much!

I scheduled a next day appointment for a Roto- Rooter technician to unclog my kitchen sink on line at 10pm. I quickly received a confirmation email. The next morning I received a pleasant courtesy phone call to inform me John would be arriving at my home in thirty minutes.John (Tech #1482) arrived on time and was very friendly, professional, informative, and neat. I will continue to use Roto- Rooter for my plumbing issues in the future

My 5 star rating is for the plumber Seth Cline. Too bad there aren't more stars. He was totally professional, experienced and committed to resolving my issues. All service providers need more people like Seth.That being said, I called at 9 a.m. to report my problems. I was first impressed that they said someone would be here between 10 and 2. So I gave it until 4 and called back. I was transferred to someone who told me the dispatcher was on a call and would call me back in a few minutes. The closer to 6 I called again and was told that I was next on the list with no estimate of when someone would come. All this was, of course, very frustrating as I had no sewer service all this time.Anyway, in some way it was worth waiting because, as stated above, Seth was the right professional for me and my problems and took care of everything. We have a 43 year old house. The faucet was leaking on an outside faucet. The whole pipe had to be replaced but the workmanship was great. I had no idea it would be that involved. Tony was helpful and professional.

Field Technician John Gleason #1482 answered all questions we had and was very thorough and informative. When it became apparent the drain was going to take longer than normal to unclog, John let me know what was going on, which was very much appreciated. He also explained some of the unique aspects of the plumbing involved which was very helpful to know going forward. Overall, John was excellent and we would request him for any future work needed!

On a Sunday evening, the day before a major holiday, Tommy and his trainee showed up and tackled a sneaky, tough, and frustrating issue with professionalism, courtesy, and determination. They did an amazing job to make sure the issue was taken care of. I can't recommend them enough.

Dave and the other technician (sorry, I forgot his name!) did an awesome job. They got here and promptly gave us cost estimates, giving us options. Once we decided they got to work and replaced our disposal. Once replaced they thoroughly tested and made sure there were no leaks. Overall the experience was great and they did a fantastic job. Very nice and did a great job explaining everything. Highly recommend!

Had a seal that needed replaced on our bathroom commode. Called Roto rooter and they promptly had someone out to my house within 4 hours of my call. I was going out of town so I asked that it be to their earliest open time slot. Christian was the technician that came to do the repair and he was very courteous, friendly and offered to allow me to see what he was doing. He was prompt, and had to leave to go get part and he was back within 30 minutes. I also asked him to check the draining of our slow moving bath tub water and he fixed that problem too. He worked very well alone and knew what he was doing. He didn’t hesitate to make my bathroom more efficient and workable. I would not hesitate to call them again for any future plumbing problems that may arise. Thanks!!

Joe 0369 was super helpful! He helped me troubleshoot my water heater, and picked up my new one and installed it. He also took the old one away which saved me the trouble. I really appreciated how thorough Joe was. He took the time to explain everything he did and also how to troubleshoot my water heater if the pilot light were to go out.

Quoted $415 to snake a kitchen line.Had another plumber do it for less then half the price.The other plumber completed the requested job in 20 minutes.Zero value here.

I was scheduled to be seen by a technician between 10am and 2pm and no one showed up by then, On calling the reps who handle the phone calls, Told me the tech was running behind and I was on the list to be seen next. They would not say how much longer I had to wait. I waited till 6pm and NO ONE SHOWED UP..!!! My entire day went in waiting... I would have been better off scheduling someone else for a service. Please do not use them if you want your work to be looked in soon. Till now I have not received a call from the service team describing what is going on and if they ever plan to provide service.

John Gleason was our technician who came to fix our clogged sink. He was quick and kind. He honored the discount I was quoted over the phone and told me about another coupon. He even offered to show me how the snake works with the motor when I asked questions! He helped me understand why my sink was clogged and how to prevent it in the future. He was clean and efficient. I definitely was happy with him!

My tech, Trey, was fantastic! The dispatch crew, not so much. A morning appointment didn't occur until 1:45pm, and the dispatcher whom I called at 11:45am to ask where my tech was could not have been more unhelpful. Roto-rooter was lucky in that a couple of the other plumbing companies I then called had no non-emergency appointments available, and I was lucky in that I got Trey when someone did finally arrive.

I managed to bust a water supply pipe at the joint underneath the floor. You can guess what happened next. Classic mistake of a new homeowner. I called Roto Rooter that night and Seth Cline came out the next day. He was able to quickly find access to that pipe, and fix it in the most efficient and effective way possible. Roto charges by the hour so he did what he could to keep that to a minimum, and I appreciated that greatly. He also patiently and willingly answered all of my questions and even gave me a few pointers in case I ever dare to try plumbing again. Thanks Seth!

The nite before Thanksgiving the kitchen drain decides to clog somewhere in the piping. Called Roto Rooter and within 40 mins tech 1482 was knocking on the door. He explained everything very well, did a great job cleaning up and had the problem fixed within an hour. It was a great experience!!

Tech did a great job in my root removal. No issues with him. I thought the service was extremely expensive though. I did not like (without warning me) them sending out a water damage specialist beforehand and trying to sell me on a $5K-$10K job on basically removing wet carpet and pad and removing a small patch of drywall. Kept pushing you would only pay your deductible angle. Just left a bad taste. Then after cleaning the line and getting flow the tech felt maybe the line had a pitch' from settling and he was concerned and thought best to camera the line the next day. I really had no issue with that, it gave me an impression that he was looking out for my best interest. BUT the next day he returned with a water mitigation specialist to camera the line. However: they again ran the snake down the line to the main without issue but could not camera because the line was full of water and nowhere to go because the city line was backed up. They agreed to come back and camera once the city flow caught up. Here's the kicker, they charged me for the camera videoing without even performing the service. So I basically bought a $150 service without it being performed. That didn't set well with me. So in summary, if you can afford an expensive service, constant collateral services being pushed at you in the beginning and the end of the process then go for it. The tech did a good job doing what he said he would do.

Chris was my service technician. He was timely, professional, knowledgeable and very kind.He quickly figured out what was wrong with my garbage disposal, and fixed it so fast!I was very pleased with his expertise and customer service skills. If all of RotoRooter's service technicians are like him, I would recommend this company to everyone.

All of the work, from the mitigation specialist, to the mitigation techs, to the plumbers who came and finished the work, everyone was uniformly professional and competent. The were thorough and told us from the beginning what would be involved in the process. Cost estimates were pretty close to spot on (actually slightly cheaper than was projected). I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of plumbing services.

BRANDIN came out and replaced a few pipes under the sink. He also unclogged the blockage that was causing greasy, smelly gunk to back up into the sink. He did a great job! I am happy with the end result... no more leaky, clogged and smelly drain! BRANDIN GETS 5 STARS from me!! The only reason I would rate the job any lower on star count would be pricing is quite a bit more than expected. Roto Rooter offers warranties though so that definitely helps! Thank you Brandin!

John Cleason was extremely professional! Clean uniform, pleasant, informative. We called in the morning for a clogged kitchen sink and he was out one hour later, exactly when he said he would be. He provided step by step on his procedures. He gave the air of trustability. We have called different companies for plumbing work over the course of time. While most have been “good”, John sort set the bar a little higher. He even taught us how to remove and clean that little rubber thing that prevents big stuff from going down to the disposal. The over all price to unclog the drain was pricy, but what can ya do?!? More people should become plumbers!!We will keep John’s card and call him when we have another plumbing need.

Chris did an excellent job and I was very pleased with the work performed. He assessed the problem right away and clearly explained what was needed. He was personable and professional and I would definitely use Roto-Rooter again.

Technician Joshua was did a great job. He explained the problem and options for repair. He answered my questions and cleaned up after he completed the job.

I had a lot of work to be done. Ted arrived in the morning for some of the work and did a good job. Later in the day Dave (tech2416) showed up for the big job. Both gave quotes after a quick inspection. Dave did his best to stay close to quote. Dave had to remove dishwasher and cut into the wall behind to repair a leaking waste stack. It was a tight spot and lucky behind the dishwasher and not the cabinet. He was great in telling me info maintaining my plumbing and informed me that my dishwasher (which is old) was very tight to get out. I would need to do detailed measurements for the new one. I am very happy of the service provided and the timely manner they were able to get out here and Finnish. I would say to negative is the price. The first plumber had to remove and reset a toilet. The cost was a bit of a shock.

All the company representatives were courteous and professional. They made it simple and easy to book a timely appointment. Extra thanks to the conscientious technician-John #1482-who arrived right on time and efficiently solved our problem.Thanks to the whole team for helping us out!

The technician Mr Steel was on time, great attitude and very personable. He new his job and completed the work very fast. I would definitely recommend rotor router in the future. I was also surprised and very happy to have a follow up from another member of the rotor router team. She stoped by after the work was completed to make sure there were no leaks and everything was done correctly. The only problem I have with rotor router was the cost of the service. The technician was here for 35 minutes and resolved the problem successfully, initially I was hesitant to have him do the work due to the $365.00 charge. That dollar amount for such a small job seems excessive to me. Thanks for the service you provided. Very thankful the problem is fixed ??

We needed a plumber the same day and were thrilled when Christian showed up about an hour after I called to schedule an appointment. He was extremely polite and worked quickly to get the job done. The plumbing company that I had provide me an estimate earlier in the day, were going to charge me a high price for doing work that didn't really need to be done. Dave fixed my plumbing problem in 5 minutes!The Roto-Rooter customer service was excellent, from the scheduler to the plumber. The plumber got to my house within 30 minutes of calling and the customer service rep called me to let me know when he was on the way. I will definitely call them again for all plumbing needs.

Our service tech, Nathan, was prepared to come into our home completely covered from head to toe in Covid-19 protection. He was very knowledgeable which showed in the performance of his work. On top of that, Nathan was very personable and made us feel like we received a top of the line employee. We appreciated our camera tech's follow-up and the redirection of work that needed to be completed. Our service tech and our camera tech left us with the feeling that we received top quality care. After running something through the garbage disposer we found that that we had a backed up kitchen sink. I called Roto-Rooter to schedule an appointment. I was given a window between 12PM and 4PM. I got a call around 10:30 saying that a technician was available in 30 minutes would I like for him to come early...that rarely happens. A half hour later technician John Gleason arrived, explained everything that needed to be done and began his work. He was very personable and very efficient and someone you would want working in your home. He worked about a half hour clearing the drain, cleaned everything up and presented the bill. I would definitely recommend this company and this technician to any of my family and friends.

Trey made the best of a bad situation. Half of main stack had to be replaced. Original installation was sketchy at best. He took his time to undo what was previously done and got us back up and running. Pleasant and informative. Would definitely call again and recommend to others.

We had a clogged kitchen sink drain cause by too much holiday leftovers being put down the garbage disposal. John Gleason fixed it for us. He came right on time. Came with all his tools and clean up gear. He inspected everything and explained the process thoroughly. He was very pleasant and cleaned up also. He even tightened up the garbage disposal and gave us some advise when were were talking about sump pumps. He is an excellent plumber and very knowledgeable. Our technician Josh was very friendly and knew exactly what he needed to do. Our kitchen sink drain had been collecting gunk for 19 years and needed a thorough cleaning. He fought it for about an hour but was successful at getting it cleaned and working well. I would not hesitate to call on him or Roto-Rooter again.

I've been screwed by this company. Asked someone to come out on Wednesday at 4, scheduled no problem. No one showed and cancelled at 530 with promise I'd be seen the next day since I was missed. Again same time, no show call to cancel at 645 even though I've been at the location waiting since 4. This is for a home inspection and now the period has elapsed when I can get it done. An appointment time is not a guarantee.

They were all very polite, professional and thorough. They took their time and they very knowledgeable about what they were doing. I’ll definitely be using them again and referring them to whoever needs help! Thank you guys for your help!!The only issue was the man who was sick Tuesday called off work and no one called me to tell me no one was coming in his place, so no one checked out floors that day. Wednesday I had to call 3 people just to figure out who and when someone would come check them and finally heard back 3 hours later. As far as plumbing and their work they were great and quick. A little pricey yet I know it was getting done fast and correctly.

Technician arrived within an hour of my 1st call. He found the problem and replaced the pipes. He did a beautiful job and was clean as he worked.He explained what happened and why. We need water mitigation, so he made the arrangements for the gentleman to help us with that. That gentleman arrived in a half hour. He worked with our insurance and got a claim started. Chris did a great job replacing our old kitchen faucet after it broke. He was thorough, efficient, courteous, COVID compliant, very friendly. We've had good success with Roto-Rooter in the past, this week's work and to that positive experience.

Our down spout drain was blocked. Josh ran a cable up the drain and pulled out a ton of roots. He repeated it several times until he stopped pulling stuff out. I asked him if we could test run out sump pump to confirm this help. Josh agreed and we ran it a couple times and it worked great. I appreciate that Josh went above and beyond to make sure everything worked properly. Still think Roto-Rooter is a little pricey...but they guarantee there work and do a quality job.

They were prompt to repair the leak caused by a broken water line at my foundation. However, it took a lot longer than I would've liked to get my grass repaired, and even then there was no effort to smooth the areas where the excavator had driven. I can feel the ridges every time I mow and can see the gaps from the tracks the excavator left. Glad I don't have water in my basement any longer, but my yard definitely paid the price!UPDATE: Rating changed. I’ve found recently that I still have moisture on the wall just below the patch. This has led to mold growing on the surface of my basement block wall at this location. Called to have it inspected again to see if it was possible that the repair had failed. The guy showed up unannounced so no one was home. After a brief discussion over the phone he transferred my case to a “mold specialist,” who called a day later. After a brief conversation the “specialist” felt it was still a piping issue that needed to be addressed prior to abatement and said he’d send it back over the fence. A week later and still no response/action from the company! I did not expect to still be dealing with this 6 months later.

We have had great service from Roto-Rooter this past year. Last year they replaced the mechanism inside our toilet, and today Brian came out to replace our toilet handle. Only one minor repair since their work last year. Brian was very professional, he arrived within the given time, and he got the work done quickly. The price was fair, and it looks like he installed a better part than what we had before. Overall, very pleased. We will likely call them again for any future plumbing needs.

I had an emergency plumbing issue over the weekend. I called 3 places - 1 that did not bother to call me back, 1 that was ridiculously expensive before even knowing the issue, and Roto Rooter. The young man that came out (Joshua Mack) was polite and professional. He took time to explain everything to me and was able to fix the issue and recommend next steps. I will definitely use them again.

Originally had contacted another company to try to keep it local....but they would not commit to a time for arrival, I had to take the whole day off waiting for a call saying they would be coming. After waiting until 2pm the company finally called saying they had a ton of emergencies come up and would I volunteer to reschedule my appt and receive and discount on service when they come. I said no and canceled all together as I am not able to commit to another full day and not have a guarantee of time for when they are coming. They called ahead to see if the tech could show up early, which was great. He did his work quickly and cleaned up really well. The field manager ran a scope down the drain to see the status of our very old pipes as well as confirmed their route out of the house, very helpful information for any future problems.

Pilot light went out on hot water tank on Sunday, called home warranty company and had 2 different plumbing companies out to try and fix the hot water tank. Neither company could fix the issue. The job was done well by the technician, who was friendly and professional. However this company is grossly overpriced. Having been a plumber myself, I have a rough idea how much this job should have cost, and the tech was only here for approximately 45 minutes. The job (to run a drain snake} was quoted at $365. Being that if they charge for the whole hour, as most outfits do, that's $365/hr. I know lawyers, pilots, and physicians that don't make that kind of money, and for a job that if anyone had the equipment they could have easily done themselves. In addition to this, when I called, I requested an estimate of the cost to have them come out. They told me the tech would have to determine that when he arrived. Upon arriving the tech showed me that he has codes for each type of job, that he enters and it tells him what the cost is. You can't tell me the company dispatch doesn't know/have access to the codes or a vague idea of the cost of some of these. Then to add salt to the wound, the tech didn't show up until an hour and a half after I was told he would arrive. By the time he did show up, it was too late for me to contact another plumber when I got the quote from him. I was stuck, seemingly by design, to take it or leave it.

Roto-Rooter was able to come to our house within a few hours of a sewer line back up. In addition to clearing out the line, they showed us a video of our drain system and discussed different options for repair. Very thankful for the quick service on a Sunday afternoon.

We were extremely pleased with the service provided by Mr. Bobby Griffith #0158. He arrived in a timely manner and was very professional and courteous. He explained what was wrong and what he would do to install the new fixtures. He tried to correct the reversal of the water pipes to the shower but would have had to redo the whole layout. He had the job done in the time he said it would take. We would recommend him to anyone.

We recently had a situation involving a clogged drain pipe where the pipe also broke apart under the kitchen sink, spilling water out everywhere. We cleaned the water up as quickly as possible and then called Roto-Rooter to help us assess the damage and fix the issues. They were super responsive, first with a restoration expert coming out to determine if there was any serious water damage that would need to be addressed (thankfully, there was not!), and then shortly thereafter with two service technicians who quickly and efficiently fixed both problems. Everyone who we talked to was super friendly and did a great job of walking us through exactly what was going on, what needed to be done, and what we could do in the future to hopefully prevent something like this from happening again. Highly recommended.

John was very professional and I appreciated him walking me through exactly what he was going to do to correct the clogged drain. He provided steps I could take to ensure future clogs are prevented. The only negative was the cost which was almost double that received from other people.

The drain for the washing machine was clogged and water was everywhere! I called Roto Rooter and they said they would send someone over last night by 9:50pm. At 10:26pm, I received a call from Roto Rooter and they said no one was coming, but I could have the first appointment the next day (Tuesday) at 8:00am. I waited until 8:31am, then I called them. The had me scheduled around 1:00pm. I had a conflict and that wasn't going to work. They then said they would send the next available technician. Roto Rooter sent technician Joshua Mack Tech#3643. Joshua was quite personable and he had on a mask! He went right to work after assessing the problem. What seemed like in no time, Joshua Mack had the drain flowing smoothly. He cleaned up so well you couldn't tell that he'd been there! His service was beyond reproach and he should be used as an example for others! Joshua Mack's excellent service made up for the scheduling debacle!

Despite a stressful situation we couldn’t have been happier with Roto Rooter! We had a very poor experience with a water restoration company previously, so we were a little jaded and very skeptical about the service Roto Rooter would provide. From the very first meeting, Matthew put our minds at ease. He explained everything that he was doing, including the reasoning behind it, and gave realistic expectations regarding the timeline to completion as well as the results. He made sure to communicate what time he would be over each day, and the two days he was unable to be here personally he let us know what to expect and advised us to contact him directly if we had any concerns or questions. Matthew was incredibly knowledgeable and seemed to actually love what he did for a living, which put our minds at ease. We hope this was the last of our water issues, however if anything happens in the future we will not hesitate to use Roto Rooter again!

The repair-person got here early - not much waiting, which was greatly appreciated, since it was a sewage backup! The technician was courteous & kind, and did mot leave a mess, like other companies might & have done in the past. They gave an up-front estimate before doing anything & there was NO FEE to come out. (You could refuse service & not be charged for the visit.) Pricing was competitive. They also offered a follow-up cleaning & inspection re: water damage - this was a separate charge, but greatly appreciated the offer. I used the online schedule service and it was easy and you can pick your day and time.My window was 1:00 to 5:00 and technician Jamie #523 was here about 2:00.He explained what he would be doing and was polite and very informative. Roto-rooter I can’t thank you enough for the work you guys did. We called late in the evening in urgency as our basement level drain was leaking water into our laundry room, bathroom and bedroom , even at 9:00 at night they were able to get us scheduled first thing the following morning which meant so much to us . Our technician Ray called an hour before the time they estimated to make sure we were on track and said he would be over earlier if we needed him to be which we also appreciated as we had to get a kid to school and morning chaos, he was very understanding and accommodating. We came to find out through Ray doing a thorough inspection that we had tree roots in our drain, ALOT . Although he anticipated a quick job it ended up taking him hours to get the drain clear And he did so without a question. Our drain is clear and he gave us some recommendations for the future . The price was fair and did not go up from what he had originally told us even due to having to work much longer then expected . Do as much as can diy, but know when to call in the pros, and was at that point. Asked neighbor who just had plumbing issue and they suggested roto-rooter based on many years experience. I called. They were friendly and helpful on phone and able to come same day.The tech was on time and professional. We needed new copper line soldered in a wall for our tub. He did the job neatly, quickly and showed me the work to ensure satisfaction, and importantly, no leaking in the wall. Very pleased.I also asked about hot water heater replacement, as we have a very, very old one. He was helpful with information to assist us make decisions on that as well.If I have to pay someone to do a job, which is a lot of money to me and I'm annoyed with my inability to do the task, then I have high expectations. We had a problem with an aging garbage disposer and a clogged kitchen drain as a result. Called Roto-Rooter at 6:30 AM on a Sunday and they were at our home by 8:30 AM that day. They cleaned out the drain which was a tough job due to years of accumulated biomass in the line and replaced the garbage disposer on the same trip. I called Roto-Rooter in the morning to help with a leaking faucet on the side of our house. They came over within 2 hours and quickly installed an access panel and shut-off valve. We called at about 7:30 p.m., and within an hour Roto-Rooter arrived. Our basement drain backed up and Nathan fixed the issue in no time. Then, Josh arrived within a half hour and set up the clean up process. Scheduled our appointment to replace our shut-off valve (that required a city water shut-off) for 12-4PM only to realize the utilities department closes at 1:30 now. The service technician would not have been able to do the job before the utilities department closed, so I called to see if we could get someone out sooner. Roto-Rotter had someone out 45 minutes later. He looked at our issue, ran and got parts, and had it done an hour and a half later. We were then able to call and have our water turned back on before the 1:30 cut off.

I called regarding a small leak in my basement. The technician arrived within the window of time that I was given. I received a text with advanced notice that he was coming. He was polite and professional. He was able to quickly identify the issue and the steps that needed to be taken to resolve it. After extremely heavy rains overnight, I discovered our sump pump had not done its job and left us a flooded basement. Luckily I was able to shake the old sump pump and it started working again.Went upstairs and phoned Roto-rooter to schedule a service call to replace the unreliable sump pump. I hung up the call and opened my web browser and went to their website to schedule the service call.Scheduling it was super easy and the website popped up a message that everything was good. My only negative about that process is that I would have liked a confirmation email to ensure that my request was really in the system.So I wait while cleaning up my basement. Got a call after a few hours that a tech was within 30 minutes of my home. Awesome response time considering they were probably being overwhelmed with calls from other people in the same situation.Bobby Griffith #0158, showed up and saw me headed out to the back yard to unclog my downspout/sump pump discharge tube. It had been overgrown by grass and the end was filled with dirt. My bad. But Bobby went to his truck and got a small shovel and cleared the blockage. Dude was super cool about helping me out.So then we went inside and he said he had a replacement pump that he could install. I said let's do it, signed the paperwork, and he got to it. He removed the old pump, installed the new pump, and even cleaned out some gravel and debris from the pit (the other company never did that). I was impressed that he was taking the time to ensure I'd have no further trouble instead of madly finishing so he could get to the next job.I would definitely use their service in the future.

Our main sump pump had failed and we was using a back up sump pump and it starting to have issues and the water was coming in pretty quickly into the tank. So I started looking online for a 24/7, since it was a Saturday night after 5:00 pm. I called and the operator said they they would have someone out there within an hour. I don't think it was even an hour. (more like 30 mins). Bobby came in and went to expect the issue and suggested what we needed and I approved the work order and he went to work. Within an hour and half he had everything working properly and I could go to bed knowing that I wouldn't have a flooded basement the next morning. I will recommend Roto Rooter anytime to anyone. Roto-Rooter Plumbers have helped us out so much in the last 2 months! We can call anytime day or night and on weekends and they send a qualified plumber quickly! We had trouble with our water heater this week and while the plumber was here our HVAC guys found we had a big propane leak they couldn't fix. The plumber at our house from Roto-Rooter was able to call one of their specialists who came to our house immediately and totally fixed the whole problem quickly and correctly. We are so very thankful for all of their help and will trust them anytime in the future!

Roto Rooter was the only company of seven we called (all of which offer 24 hour emergency services) that actually answered when we called or returned our call in any kind of reasonable timeframe. The techs were all very friendly and made sure we knew what was happening throughout the process. We’d definitely use them again for any future plumbing issues.

Out bathtub drain had corroded and began to leak, it was over 50 years old. We called another plumber first, for a free estimate and, they sent a service person to look at the situation. He concluded that to fix the problem, he would have to call in another person to help, due to the difficult position of the drain and that we would have to take down one of our kitchen cabinets, behind which he would create an access hole to the drain in order to repair/replace the pipe. All for around $1000. My wife and I told him we would have to discuss it and he left.We called Roto-Rooter, they sent their service man, Brian. He arrived assessed the situation, told us he would have to call in an assistant, Aaron, again, due to the difficulty in reaching the problem. The two of them fixed the problem in about 90 minutes, without tearing a hole in our wall for the about the same price. From now one, we will be calling Roto-Rooter for all out plumbing needs.

Chris and Brent did a great job cleaning out our storm lines that were backing up. They discovered and could show us some additional problems issues we will need to take care of down the line, but fixed immediate problem. Both were very professional, courteous, and helpful.

Scott Cook, #0064 came in after other workers were done with replacing the main trap pipe line outside the house. Supervisor said the bathroom sink clog has to wait until the main trap was fixed then do it with no additional charges - Scott heard me say this, heard my wife say this and heard the landlord say this, he decided to go ahead and do the work and not charge us for it. Took him about an hour to clear the clog. Great guy! Very pleasant and willing to help us out with the clog that has been clogged for at least 6 months. Great service, quick response (less than 12 hrs) and thorough cleaning of clogged main drain. Technician was courteous and professional, explained what caused the clog and was clean and tidy. A tad pricey in my opinion, but we have only needed this service 3 times in 11 years in the home so not too bad.

My water heater had been acting out on and off for the past month , and finally I called the company last week to fix the water heater. The technician came promptly . I asked if it needs new parts and why was it randomly turning off. He vaccumed the heater ( which I already did previously ) and charged $250 for the vacuuming .Today ,my water heater is still not working well , it still turns off randomly ... so I don’t think he did anything to help with the situation...

Was treated fairly in the past. I was at work when the repair tech comes out. The back plunger needed replaced. I found the part on amazon for $10 and was going to do myself but didn’t have much time. Wife called me later and said it will cost $300 for the repair. They charged $40 for the part (better quality) which I understand but the labor is outrageous. Spoke to coworker who said they had the same thing and paid a local plumber $80.... never again.

Had an overall pleasant experience with Christian Overfield (service tech #3775) this past Thursday when he came by to cable clear the main line which was draining poorly and causing back-ups in the basement floor drain.He arrived just after 7:45p in the 7-9p window, And was polite and upfront with what he would be doing. The cost was $630, which I found to be very high, but I really wanted the problem resolved. He went out to his truck to retrieve the necessary equipment, and after several minutes of him not returning, I went out to check on him. He explained he did mostly plumbing, and few drains, and that his truck wasn’t organized so he couldn’t find the Allen key he needed to change the cutter head on the cable snake. I went and got him a set I have in the house and he preformed the work relatively quickly. Upon completion and payment he explained that a field supervisor would came back out at a later date to put a camera down the line and inspect the work.No issues with the draining as of yet, but I have yet to find that Allen key...

After trying to fix a sewer drain clog myself, I finally decided to call a plumber. Roto-Rooter was very quick to respond and correct the issue (I had a working drain line again 3 hours after calling). The technician was very professional and knowledgeable about possible follow-on steps to keep the drain clear as well as Roto-Rooter's warranty.

I've worked with this company and my reviews have been largely mixed based on the service technician that was dispatched to my home. The pros are their 24/7 availability, however, the cons are usually 1.) the cost and 2.) uneven quality with respect to its service technicians (e.g., quoting unreasonably high prices for simple and routine jobs like flushing a hot water heater or installing a shower head).However, Roto-Rooter Plumber Chris Bogner was one of the most exceptional service providers that I've ever encountered. Chris installed a sump pump device for me. Before a repair I actually believe in getting 2-3 quotes before hiring a service provider and I found Chris to be honest with his assessments, transparent with respect to the work that was performed and someone that showed me that he placed customers first.I will request only Chris on a going forward basis and I recommend that you ask for him by name because he is an exceptional service provider.

I don't know anything about plumbing. For some god forsaken reason my mother in law is convinced I do, and after around 10 hours of youtube tutorials and around 50 dollars and about a week of having a very clogged kitchen sink, finally called in Roto-Rooter. Guy was saying it wouldn't be the cheapest fix, but they were the only ones who could come out today instead of some time a week later, so I thought it was worth it. Four hours from emailing them until they were done with the repairs, and the cost was about half of what I'd been expecting. The guys were professional, but still cheerful and pretty cool. Fixed not only the clog itself, but the screwed up pipes I'd attempted to install without outright laughing at the disaster I'd made. 10/10, would call again.

I called RotoRooter and explained my problem and they had someone at my house within an hour. Ted explained the problem and repair process, quoted the bill and started working immediately. He repaired a broken outside faucet and showed me the broken plastic pipe and explained what he had done. I would use RopoRooter again.

I had a clogged drain. I booked my appt. four days in advance to coincide with my paycheck. The plumber was very knowledgeable, clearing the drain within 30 minutes. This was wonderful but I was shocked that Roto-Rooter charged $325 for 1/2 hour's work unclogging a drain. I spoke with my sister, who paid $90 for a plumber to unclog her drain. I feel this charge was exorbitant and would not recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone with plumbing problems for this reason.

Mr. Anderson did a very professional, clean, and through job when we had a clog in our main line.I did however not appreciate the pre-visit pressure sales by his associate prior to his visit. It seemed unnecessary.No reflection on the salesperson. I feel it is a mistake and waste of time for all involved.I gave the five stars for Mr. Anderson's professionalism and great results, but I am doubtful that I will use this company again.

The technician, Brian, was on-site within 2 hours of my calling for service (broken cold water shut-off valve on bathroom sink). It was about 8:30PM on a Saturday night. He very calmly and patiently assessed the problem, & worked until nearly midnight to try to fix it, but he did not have the correct part needed...an odd size. He assured me and my wife that he could get the correct part in the morning, and he was there at 9:00AM Sunday morning, as promised, & had the problem fixed within an hour.

I was surprised that coming out on Memorial Day there was not an extra charge. Even though the tech did not get there in the allotted time, I understand that he was completing a prior job and evidently was going to complete it before coming to my residence. Although some may have complained, I took it as him being a professional and not leaving a job undone just to hurry to the next one.As far as his work is considered, I could tell from the outset that he knew what he was doing. My technician was Rick Sater and he was very professional and knowledgeable. He first explained the problem and then explained the pros and cons of fixing it with part galvanized plumbing. This company treated me very poorly. They contacted Syncrony and an account was opened under my name with a pending charge on it. Not only did i not approve this account, they're making me do all the work to fix the screw up. I was serviced by an Austin Willson, and all times i called about the issue they told me it was my job to fix it with Syncrony. Never doing business with Roto Rooter again. Cant trust them with your personal information.Wish i could get a refund and go with a different plumber. If it was Syncrony's fault they should get a better financial partner. Still trying to figure out who did what, and now instead of enjoying my improved home i'm filing police reports... fun. Avoid Roto Rooter.

The tech, Joshua Mack performed a kitchen snake unclogging on the main kitchen pipe at my sisters home in the 43211 area code. His professional attitude and experience made the job quite easy. He made sure that the line was clear and suggested preventative and predictive measure to eliminate future occurrence. Joshua was reached her home on time as suggested by the dispatcher. I want to thank the training staff for teaching the field technicians the skill to assess the problem, evaluate and come to the conclusion of what to do for the repair.

We had a toilet that was not working properly so we called Roto-Rooter.Mike Anderson and Scott Cook showed up at the time promised and determined that the toilet could not be repaired. They suggested that it be replaced which they said they could do. We told them to go for it, they acquired a replacement toilet and in the space of less than three hoursinstalled it. They were knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and clean in their work. All in all we were pleased with Roto=Rooter's service

Roto-Rooter helped us tremendously with our clogged pipe. We believed that our garbage disposal was backing up. We attempting plunging it, my husband tore out the pipes and cleaned out the disposal and nothing worked. Called and a tech was out to our house within the hour. Ray from Roto-Rooter immediately diagnosed the problem as deeper down the pipes where we would not have been able to reach and was able to quickly and efficiently clean out the clog. I had a clogged sump pump drainage pipe. Roto rooter came out, told me they could drain and unclog the pipe and if it was more serious and they had to replace pipes it would $1500 and they would put the unclog charge of $365 towards it. A few minutes later the camera man showed up and told me the pipe is collapsed and needs replaced then quoted me $4000 and told me the man who unclogged the drain did not know their prices, meanwhile the unclog guy was in the background saying I didnt know it would be so much. I asked if they would take the $365 towards that and was again told they were different departments and that's not possible. Long story short roto rooter cost me $365 to tell me I would owe them $4000 and nobody was honest with me at all.

Upon additional back/forth dialog between Bobby & I, Bobby was able to beat the other company's quote by no less than $600 and potentially as much as $4600. Immediately, it became obvious that Bobby and his crew at Roto Rooter were the team for the job. Less than 48 hours later, on Tuesday morning, Bobby arrived so that I could submit paperwork for financing approval which took barely 30-45 minutes. Financing was approved within minutes and less than an hour later a crew arrived and started excavating outside to reach the main water line. Simultaneously, they had a guy inside the home doing what needed to be done in order to replace the main water line coming in from outside. There were significant problems however and the way they collectively communicated to resolve each problem in the least evasive and most customer cost-friendly manner is a testament to not only the type of people within the crew but also to the pride they took in the company they are representing. Not since my days in the Army have I seen such dedication to one another to accomplish a common goal. Never before have I seen such desire to accomplish that common goal for an absolute stranger, such as myself. I can't express enough my gratitude to Bobby & Harry's crew today for not only getting the job done but getting it done on budget even after running into setbacks and challenges. The job involved using an excavator outside the house, using a jackhammer inside the house and pulling up the wood flooring in a hallway... you'd never know any of that based on the way they put things back together. I simply can't express my level of gratitude and appreciation for what Roto Rooter did for me today. You've not only gained my business, but encouraged me to proudly recommend you to others! The last thing you need after Christmas is a flooded basement. First of because eww and secondly who has money after the holidays? Certainly not me. I was super stressed about the whole thing. We thought we had a valve leak on our toilet. The tech found that it was not the valve, but part of the tank/flush mechanism that was an easy fix. Very friendly and knowledgeable. No parts needed only charged for service call.

On friday evening I had a major water line break. Christian (service technician) was here within an hour. They got the pipe fixed, and the water back on within the next hour. They sent out two guys to set up dehumidifiers, and got the mess cleaned too. Everyone was very polite and made sure my questions were answered.

I had plugged my kitchen sink. When I opened the door my service guy smiled and said, I was here 16 years ago! I totally remembered Shawn! He fixed everything and even cleaned up the mess. Scott Cook #0064 was the Technician assigned to my house and I’m very thankful he was! Our water heater started leaking Gas On Christmas Eve. I attempted to fix it myself but could only get so far with the stores closing at 5pm and eventually quit at 1AM Christmas Morning. It’s now Christmas Day, everyone BUT ROTO-ROOTER is closed, no stores are available to get parts, and I have a home full of people with no running water. Though the field techs arrived very rapidly they did not complete the work correct the first time and we had to have them come back out because they did not connect the garbage disposal correctly. For how much the cost it was very disappointing to not have the electrical connections made correctly.

Grant 0272 was very professional in his service call. He prepped the work area so no waste water would get on floor or under sink. He ran snake through twice to make sure all clog was gone.

the technician made my plumbing issue worse, completely clogged my lines after snaking them. said he would be cleaning up the feces and water in my basement after he dumped it onto the floor when he openned the main line to snake, but didnt. he just left. never said he was leaving, just left. i had to clean it myself. then he also said a field manager would come out to finish fixing my lines. nope the person never showed up. i called the company three times to complain and get someone out, i was told a msnager would call back, nope. no one did. over 4 hrs later i finally called for the 4th time and told them dont send anyone i called someone else, not thst they were going too. of course i cant get anyone in here til 8 am tomorrow, so now this great company with such great caring people, sarcasm, left me with no way to use any sink or toilet in my house. so thank you roto router, you screwed me

Low water pressure in shower. Checked out all of the pipes, checked water pressure coming into the house. Replaced an inverter in my shower. Cost me almost $900.00. Pressure is just a bit better. Hot and cold handle is working better. Price is ridiculous. Will not call them back again.

I had a tankless water heater installed. While the finished product was great, they started late, and then stayed for 12 hours without telling me that it was going to take that long. My son was also asleep and they were playing music loudly and slamming doors. They didn't leave until midnight.

I sent you to the home of 76 year old man and specifically wrote on service notes and called the office to tell the one thing... Do not do anything in the home until you call me with estimate. Not only did your technician disregard my notes on service request to call me but my verbal call to the office right after scheduling got me nowhere. This man the work was scheduled for has dimensia and has no clue regarding financial matters and can barely remember to take his medication or check his sugar. This blatent disregard for instruction is very unprofessional. Telling an old man he doesn't understand or have any clue is like talking to a 5 year old who keeps asking the same questions over and over again. I would have been there but I had eye surgery earlier that afternoon and could not drive or do anything real active. He wrote a check for an amount of money he did not have to spend, therefore my reason requesting a call. I will never use your company again! Your service technician needs to pay attention to directions/requests from the customer!

Basement flooded after having different company work on clearing sewage line backing up in laundry room. What was supposed to have been cleared ended up in extensive damage overall and standing water in entire basement. Still in process of work!, ROTOROOTER's punctuality wasexceptional. Repeated calls when dealing with poss delays, AWESOME. They were confident in their services. Robert Haywood offered additional knowledge on future care and processes with insurance company. Joseph McFarland offered support and encouragement after discovering the errors of the previous service company. Zach came out to confirm what caused backup, gave his expertise on what discovered and the possibities and abundance of cost in replacing sewage lines but was assured all should withstand for mulltiple years and gave info re areas that could be addressed at minimal cost. Right now the 'dream team' water techs of Angel & Demitrius are clearing what used to be my semi finished basement........ the entire process was a first but mentally, I was made to feel secure in my decision made to use those company. I only hope to find the same benefit of resource of integrity, honesty, security, and confidence in the contractor needed to redo the basement...stay tuned!

Jake and Jonathan arrived on time and fixed the leaky shower head in my house's master bathroom. With the COVID-19 crisis happening, each took care to wear gloves and masks to protect my wife, daughter and myself. They explained what the problem was and what part(s) were needed to fix it. The only negative was the overall cost being a little too high, considering all they did was change the water cartridge.

Very nice guys. Told me everything they were going to do and did it. Took way longer than expected which was a little aggravating considering they charge by the hour.
