They were fast!

Dispatched plumber to thaw water pipes. Quoted approx $90 (over the phone) for site visit and told technician will review the situation when he arrives and provide a price for whatever service may be needed. Probably should have asked for a range on the cost ahead of time, but the price was over $800 (plus the site visit) to hook up and run current from the pipes inside my house to the city shutoff (B-box). That didn't alleviate the issue and the plumber stated that it must be frozen on the city side of the shutoff. Now I've found out from the city water dept that a union is required on the water pipes just past the main water shut off inside my house or they will not hook up their unit from the hydrant to the B-box to thaw out those pipes. I would have expected a reputable plumbing company that works in Chicago to know this and when they determined the problem was on the city side to install this union at that time.

Andrew was super friendly and very knowledgeable. He took the time to show me where the problem was and what repairs were needed before finalizing the work. He gave me a few options and then continued to do the work. Throughout his work he was clean, considerate of my bathroom, and did an awesome job! Roto-Rooter is a great company and have qualified personnel on their team. I would recommend them because they are helpful from the first initial call to actually getting the job done the first time!

They came out and did a “diagnostic” for $350 that took five minutes. I fully expected for that amount of money there would be some light repair work, which is all I needed. Instead Goode wanted $800 to replace the rubber hoses to my washing machine. Let that marinate. $800 for a couple pieces of rubber and maybe a half hour of work. Techs were friendly and knowledgeable and it wasn’t their fault — it’s the but the pricing and management of this place is predatory. This place is worthless, keep looking.

Edwin has always been uber responsive and professional when we've used him. We had him install a new kitchen faucet, fix a leaky toilet, and clean and fix bathroom sink drains. He's been able to fix all of our issues and is overall very pleasant to work with. Highly recommend!
