Best Shower Installation in Chicago IL

We worked with Pete to replace a leaky pipe in the pump room of our condo building. The service was exceptional! Pete was very straightforward, completed the project quickly and with minimal disruption to our community, and provided some helpful tips and information about care and upkeep of our equipment. We appreciate the quality and professionalism from the company and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Pete and Noah unclogged my outside drain quickly and were a great help in heading off future problems with the system. They were also very friendly and pleasant to talk to.

Was disappointed that our hot water heater failed after only four years and we were told it would be too difficult to repair it, so ended up spending a lot more to get yet another new one. Our tech was very good, David, very hard working and prompt. Setting up the appointment was quick and easy, and timely.

Jan from Vanguard came by to fix a leaky pipe. They were able to fit me into their schedule, showed up exactly on time, fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes for a reasonable cost.

I have been contacting them for plumbing help for a few years now and they actually try their best to offer advice to help you fix small problems on your own before trying to charge you for services. They are my go to plumber and I frequently recommend them to others in the Chicago area.

Wasted my time and money and didn't solve the problem. Frankly I expected top service for the prices they charge ($250 just for diagnosis). They looked at my water heater and quickly concluded that I needed a new pilot assembly. They made me wait a few days because they didn’t have the part, and wanted an additional $285 to replace a $35 part. I didn’t have a good feeling about the training/experience of these plumbers and I was proven right. The part they replaced wasn’t even the problem. They called the manufacturer and were told that it might be the gas valve. All along they did not know how to diagnose the problem by themselves. They relied on the manufacturer for advice both times. Then they offered me to replace the whole unit for $1,680 but at this point I was not interested on their overpriced and unreliable service. In the end I did decide to replace the water heater but I hired a different company who did it for a much more reasonable $300 plus the cost of the water heater.

- You didn’t charge me for the replacement part because I convinced you not to. Otherwise I would have spent $$$ for nothing.
- Yes, the other company I hired is licensed, insured and has 20+ years experience.
- And no, to say that I was rude to the plumbers is a complete lie and they can confirm that. You are just trying to discredit my review.

Initially I reached out to Rob's shop because they were local and I like the idea of working with small businesses. Unfortunately, that is what plagued them in the end.

My needs were not an urgent plumbing matter- my shower only dispensed really hot water, borderline scalding, which is not pleasant to use, but I've been dealing with it for a few months now.

After playing some phone tag to reach them, I was able to explain my needs to Ralph. He promised he would call me back the next day with a quote on the work and to schedule a time to come out. Three days later I still had not received a follow-up call. I called in and had to re-explain my needs to a different guy, but ultimately he had to have Ralph call me back to schedule a time.

We scheduled them to come out on a Wednesday morning. I took the morning off of work to be home while they worked. They said they would be there between 7-7:30 and didn't show until 8:30. After taking my shower apart, they informed me they did not have the right part and needed to visit their supplier and would have to take my part with them. They also informed me that it could not be done in the same day and they would have to come back tomorrow. There was also the chance that it would be a different technician. I was not very comfortable with the idea that the guy who would be putting it back together was not the same person who took it apart.

It was the end of the day and I still had not heard from Ralph about when they would be coming out the next morning - I'll have to take off from work then too. I called in and Ralph informed me that they do not have enough guys to send out tomorrow and would have to wait until at least Friday before they could come out. This puts me without a usable shower for 2 days. They did eventually complete the job and which was satisfactory.

Bottom line is they are a small shop and they operate like one. Their prices were a little high. You might expect a lower price given they have less overhead than a bigger company.

The plumbers were responsive and did a great job handling a tricky plumbing issue for us. We were worried but they managed to save the day for us. The plumber showed up on time and gave us a fair price.

Goode plumbing specialist gave a thorough explanation of my water heater problem and were able to fix my problem right away. I would recommend Goode Plumbing to others in need of plumbing services.

Dave and Anthony were great! I was truly impressed- They are honest and have fair prices. I was really impressed by their service and work, not to mention they are forth generation. We had a problem with our basement toilet and we felt like it was impossible to fix but these two brothers worked together to find a solution and they did. This company lives up to their name that’s for sure! My fiancé and I were experiencing a backup washer issue where it was causing the sink to overflow! Water everywhere on the floors, I called this company on a Saturday night and wow were they able to get to my home Immediately! Prices were much less than other competitors like Roto rooter, ABC Plumbing and Rocket Plumbing! I will definitely keep these guys on speed dial if we experience another issue! Great team, great company. Turns into very happy customers!!
