From the beginning, I received personable and friendly customer service; my appointment was moved sooner, the team arrived on-time, and communication was clear throughout. Josh and Rob were very respectful, making the much-appreciated effort of covering their shoes and laying down flooring for their workspace. Josh was patient in explaining the problems and providing options. He even took the time to help with extraneous tasks, like cleaning, replacing light bulbs and diagnosing a different faulty system. Leonard was wonderful. Friendly but got the job done quickly. He made sure the toilet clog was gone and gave good professional advice what to do to avoid this happening again. I'll ask for him next time. This won't be my one and only time using Roto-Rooter. I'm impressed at how when, at the last minute last evening, the assigned plumber couldn't come because of an injury, the dispatcher made sure I was the first one served today. All this on a holiday.

First Chicago Plumbing gave us a quote based on pictures we sent, at no charge. The final bill matched the estimate exactly (aside from the fact that they discovered on-site that we needed a new garbage disposal--which, parts and labor, was an additional $320). Very thorough, and they walked us through everything. The price was very fair.

This morning as i was headed out the door i noticed something out of the corner of my eye. soap bubbles. at the rim of the kitchen sink. odd i think to myself and walk over to inspect. the kitchen sink is completely full of water which is really odd because there was no water running. i call work and tell them i will be late and go grab the plunger. i plunge and i plunge and nothing happens so call a plumber i must.

rob was the 3rd plumber i called and the first who answered his phone. i told him the problem. he told me what he thought it was. he told me he would call me back in 10 minutes to let me know when his guys could be over.

in the meantime i got distracted by the apartment building on the corner catching on fire.

15 minutes or so later rob called back. his guys would be there in a half hour to an hour. about 40 minutes later two guys showed up. took some things apart. snaked some things. got the water draining properly again. i'm on the first floor and the main line for the building was filled with a rock of grease. they showed me a pipe in my sink's drain that seriously needed to be replaced. it had a huge rust spot and completely crumbled upon further inspection. a quick trip to home depot for a new pipe. installed the pipe and out the door they went.

i am a new homeowner and this was my first time dealing with a plumber. i can say with certainty these guys will be my first call next time i have troubles!

We hired Apex to review a problem in our condo-owner-managed, historic, three flat! We had originally thought it was our sump but subsequently figured out it was actually a break in our sewer line! This was a very scary issue for us and Apex kept us informed and on an expeditious schedule the entire time. They worked with us to rod out, jet, camera and ultimately find a break in our main sewer line, where it meets the City's in the street. They helped guide us through the City's PDP process and coordinated the City's review and acceptance of our condo building in the PDP Program. All the guys (Chas, Aiden, someone else I'm forgetting- I'm sorry!) were helpful, responsive, professional and answered all my questions. They ultimately left me, and our condo owners, with a better understanding and knowledge of our historic condo's plumbing and gave us a few tips along the way! Thanks guys! Highly recommend!

Pete Ismail from Rescue Plumbing did an excellent job investigating issues with our building's sewer system, explaining what is required to repair the issue, and completing the large project. He also was gave us great guidelines for routine maintenance of the system.

We scheduled an appt almost 1 week in advance. The 2 hr time window was coming to an end and we hadn't heard so I reached out. I was told 3 times that they were 'on their way'. After the time window was up and still no one had arrived, I called again and was told they would be there soon. The 5th time I called someone finally told me that my job was assigned to someone who wasn't working that day and the manager would reach out to me in the morning to reschedule.

I ended up calling them twice in the morning and never heard back. To be non-responsive after having provided zero updates on the scheduled date of service is not acceptable.
