I’m regretting calling this company. Worst ever experience. As we had a minor issue in bathroom faucet, I called him and he charged $2400 for replacing it. In the middle of work , again he charged 1000$ more, all total $3400. In addition, he didn’t fix the bathroom tiles and said to call another guy to fix , which will cost us a lot. I spoke with the apartment plumber and he said that the plumber charged 3 times more price. Disappointed ?.

Sewer water came up through the drain in the basement. Roto-Rooter dispatch personnel indicated that they could have a technician there in less than 2 hours.He arrived in just over 1 hour. He had to struggle with the rodding out process, but was able to finally get through after about 30 minutes and the back-up started to drain.His supervisor came soon after with the camera revealing some damage in the sewer line. He provided an estimate for the repair saying he was unsure as to how soon the problem might arise. I felt a bit pressured into making a quick decision, which I as yet haven't.The water damage restoration unit came within another hour. assessed the damage, gave an estimate (which I really had no choice but to accept), and scheduled a crew to start that evening.The 2-person crew came and installed some drying equipment. The following 2 days (over a span of approx. 10 hours) they completed the clean-up. They removed the drying equipment 3 days later (per protocol).The clean-up progressed well, but, without the opportunity to get any other estimates, it seemed the cost was quite steep - I guess there is no good alternative.

Professional, upfront, and no-frills. George explained everything he did and worked efficiently. Good price transparency, which can be an issue with other plumbers in this city.

I hired First Chicago Plumbing to remove and install 3 new toilets and seats. They responded the fastest of any of the plumbers I reached out to and arrived exactly when planned. They worked efficiently and finished the job in a timely manner. The toilets work great and they helped clean some of the previous silicon that was attached to the floor without my knowledge.
Couldn't recommend more and I appreciate First Chicago Plumbing for their good work!

I've been through 4 plumbers since moving to Chicago and have never been happy with the service or quality until I met these guys. Prompt service, pleasant service individual, but $466 later, after rodding bathtub drain (all plumbing new just 5 years ago, bathtub not often used), the tub still didn't drain, as I found a week later. Turned out the problem was the drain plug (which I discovered and replaced myself) . It would have been appreciated if it had been mentioned that this was a possibility before we did the rodding. I suspect the rodding was not necessary but will never know at this point. The company backed their work when I called to mention that removing and replacing the drain plug fixed the problem.

Our sewer backed up into our gangway / basement and Edwin came out on Christmas Eve morning to save the day. Made for a very merry Christmas...! Thanks Ed!!

VanDerBosch has been our go-to plumbing company for over 5 years and we have no intention of calling anyone else. Helpful office staff, great plumbers in the field (Jose, Andrew). Highly recommend this company.

Plumber was due 11-3; he arrived at 3; he left at 3:18. He was rude and arrogant. I was quoted a price for an hour of service; he added on $40 for a nut or bolt that he used. You live and learn; I will not use this service again.

Aidan arrived on time and attacked the issue and explained in detail all the hows and whys of what he was doing to correct my non draining sink .
He got it cleared and its working better than is has for years now .
I would call Apex again and they are now my go to for any plumbing issues I may encounter in the future . Please note it was a Saturday and he was there on time too !

Updated review: I wish I could give Rescue Plumbing 7 stars. I thought my new plumbing had a leak and it turned out that I installed the shower head wrong (massive facepalm). The same team visited my home and they were gracious, understanding, and fixed the issue quickly. Love this company.

Pete did a great job of quickly removing our old copper tubing from the old fridge and connecting our new fridge with a braided tubing. He was on time and very fast.

These people are the epitome of shady plumbers. A repair had to be conducted in a hurry and someone less knowledgeable had to supervise it and they saw $ signs and took advantage of the situation. Charged $850 to replace a shower cartridge and a toilet mechanism - $50 of parts and 30 minutes of work for them. Refused to provide a detailed invoice (that I needed for reimbursement). Actually did not use the right shower cartridge the first time, but hid it and charged the money anyway. Only when I called them out on it, since the shower did not work right, they came back to fix the shower for real. Avoid, unless you want to be ripped off by a couple of shady characters.
