Fixed my garbage disposal on a late Saturday afternoon! Very professional. Made sure all was working properly and cleaned up. Graciously looked at some other plumbing issues when call was made for broken disposal and clogged seat (and even fixed the toilet seat!). Appreciate the above and beyond service. Came to checkout an issue i'm having with water seeping up from my basement floor. Did a thorough investigation of the pipes for a suspected leak at no charge. I am pretty sure now its a hydro-static issue now and a plumbing issue but feel much more at ease. Thanks!!

Hugh Jordan was great! We’re under contract on an older home, and out of an abundance of caution wanted to have the sewer main line scoped so we would know if there was anything pressing there. This company was prompt, easy to book, easy to pay for, and very helpful. Jordan was on time, and even took a look at the kitchen line. Jay and Jr. came to the house to detect the source of a leak. They removed a small portion of the ceiling in the basement and quickly identified the issue. Initially I thought it might be a leaky sink which was backing up, it was not. It was the toilet. Jay quoted a price for the toilet and to also rout out the sink. As it turned out, the sink didn’t need routing, just a stopper clog, simple. Jay removed the toilet, cleaned out the old, re-installed the bolts and reseated the toilet. Unfortunately it didn’t work. Made some adjustments, no go. The solution was to replace the original cast iron below and redo where the toilet sits. The quote was significant. Jay said he would not charge for today, but would do the project the day after. To no fault of Jay and jr. I had run into a friend who has done contract work on our block and he found a different solution to try. I called Rescue to explain and cancel and Jay and I spoke with regards to the cancellation. He was above and beyond professional and respectful of my decision. Most notably, Jay would not accept payment for his work since he said he did not fix the problem. I said I had no problem paying for his time, experience and identifying the issue, but he would not accept the payment.

Although I believe professionals should be paid for their time, I respect jay’s decision and will, reluctantly honor it. But, In the future, I will call on Jay to service my plumbing needs. He was knowledgeable, personable, respectful, explained every detail—like a master’s class in plumbing.
