Best Bathroom Sink Repair in Chicago IL

Called this morning and they said they would be here at 4 pm... on the dot. They sized up my problem, and had my running water problem fixed within 20 minutes....Can not ask for better service from Pete and Noah!!! I live in a 150 year old home, so, I know who to call next time. Thanks

Had a blockage in my 4 unit rental. Came out on a Saturday and rodded. Then suggested catch basin should be cleared out. Scheduled that and had a truck clear it out following week. He seemed like he really knew the art of plumbing. Very straightforward. Not cheap but fair. Month later water coming up through my sump pump at my own house. I flipped breaker and texted him. Water started receding. He said it was probably toilet paper and that breaker probably fixed it. Nice guy!

The value of 2 stars is they did a free estimate. Their lack of 3/4/5 stars is due to their lack of effort. My problem was that I had warm water coming from my cold side faucets on my 2nd/3rd floor. Their two colleagues that inspected my place spent less than 10 minutes in my house. They heard my problem, walked up and down and saw all of my fixtures, but didn't really listen to me. They told me I would have to remove the drywall from behind every sink, bathtub, shower, etc. Then they verbally estimated $15-18000. They took my information, including email. They also admitted that after their repair, I would require someone to close the holes in the wall. I sough a second opinion and scheduled a 2nd Chicago plumber. Concurrent to this I sought the advice of my Uncle, also an Ohio plumber. With 2h of listening to me, walking up and down my house, and looking at my fixtures, he identified the suspect fixture. It took me some time, closing the other sinks and showers, but he was right. Ultimately I replaced the bath faucet that was the source of the problem. After doing so my problem was solved. I think this business is motivated by big projects. I'm not sure if they bid me high because they didn't think the actual solution was worth their time or money; I asked several other plumbers for estimates, and at least the others told me it wasn't worth their time. I think the fact that they asked me to remove my walls and for $15-18k was BS, especially considering the ultimate solution was valued at my time and the replacement of a faucet ($200-2000, if you go from the cheapest to the most luxurious option). Their plan included wrecking my home. I'm not sure if they were bidding me high to dissuade me from their services, or trying to take advantage of me, but regardless, this was a problem that they overbid by 10x the cost.

Pete and his son were very professional, on time, and prompt to finish their work. All issues were resolved correctly and without any issues. Definitely recommend.

Great service! Don was quick, explained everything very well, and took care of me. Even when the problem persisted after the initial visit, the came back out and made sure everything was fixed. We used Loves Plumbing for an extensive renovation project and we can't say enough great things about the work that was done. We had a BIG project and lived in the house while the project took place, which can obviously make for a stressful experience. John was tremendously helpful in making sure we were taken care of throughout the project even going out of his way to text and follow up with us on nights and weekends to ensure we were managing ok. John was timely, honest, straight forward and was great to work with; he is our recommendation to friends and family.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I was charged $1,040 to ultimately disconnect/reconnect a sink and faucet installation.

I originally requested to have a garbage disposal installed with the sink re-connection. However, the plumber was unable to successfully connect the garbage disposal wiring from the prior disposal to the new disposal, after multiple attempts. The plumber's competency was a bit questionable for this task.

Additionally, the wall pipe was too high to connect the disposal drain and effectively drain the sink water. However, instead of performing a simple measurement to help determine whether the wall pipe was too high - the plumber attempted for over an hour to try to find a drain configuration that worked.

I understand why the requested garbage disposal installation was not feasible b/c of the wall drain location. However, the fact that APEX needed hours to diagnosis that a garbage disposal installation was not feasible makes me question plumber's honesty or competency.

I understand that there are labor/material costs for a plumbing service.
I am happy to pay for a plumber's labor. However, I am NOT happy to pay (over $1000) for hours and hours of labor for a plumber to 'figure it out' whether the requested job is feasible.

Sinks-N-Sumps was easy to reach and was able to fix my toilet within a few hours of my call on a Sunday morning. Friendly, fast, efficient service! Will definitely use again for future plumbing needs.
