Power Plumbing was really responsive via text! They came within a week for a non-emergency shower fix and dryer vent cleaning. Helped me identify part I needed which I was able to order ahead of their arrival. They did the job well, but ultimately overcharged me. Good quality work though

The main drain pipe had been overrun with tree roots and was in bad shape. I received good advice as to the different options available for dealing with the problem. The work was done in a timely fashion and I have confidence that if the need arises again, the McMahon group will manage the problem effectively.

Frank did an excellent job assessing and repairing the issue with my furnace. He was a constant professional and someone I would recommend. I am already planning to use his services for a plumbing job at my house.

Scott and Andrew diagnosed the situation, showed me the alternatives, and then went about their tasks very professionally. They not only had to contend with the situation inside my home, but because my street was torn up due to all the water/sewer construction going on in my neighborhood, they couldn't come into my driveway and had to walk back and forth to their truck. They were great about it! Service above and beyond the call of duty is what I call it.

This was a new experience for my father’s home and once Shayla picked up the phone she made me feel comfortable with a sense that I was in good hands. Tico and his crew arrived in less than 30 minutes after I placed the first the call and thoroughly inspected where was the issue with the sewer lateral pipe break and identified it; as another company in Boston provided my father wrong info on the lateral break. Tico,Brandon along with everyone on his crew were so amazing and professional. They got the job done in a few hours! Many people I’ve spoken to have also said many excellent things about this company. I would absolutely give this company more than 5 stars if I could and plan on calling them again in the future from now on!!

After numerous phone calls , we hooked up with Steve and his crew. We will be customers forever. They are, without a doubt, the most professional company to work with. We had no heat in various parts of the house for 9 days and they worked diligently to get it back on. They also fixed three broken pipes. Thank you True Blue Don’t take this personally but I hope to never see you again unless it’s to buy you a beer. !!!

We had an amazing experience with Tony from Winters Home Services. Tony is very knowledgeable about plumbing issues. He explained clearly what was causing our toilet leak and also the low water pressure in our shower. Based on his explanation, we decided to replace the toilet with a new one and have the shower valve fixed. Tony and his colleague performed the work quickly, cleanly and efficiently. Now we have high water pressure in the shower, as we wanted, and the new toilet works great. We highly recommend Tony and Winters Home Services.

Akian did a great job installing my new water heater. After setting up the service with Naomi and Evan R.--both of whom were very pleasant to work with, were exceptionally responsive to my needs and requests--I worked mostly with Tara, George and Dominic. Tara handled the administrative tasks amazingly efficiently and thoroughly. She was very helpful around my multiple scheduling needs---getting the new water heater installed when i had very little free time before I went on vacation, for example. Meanwhile, George and Dominic installed the water heater. Besides being courteous and accommodating, they knew their stuff. They put in a better brand heater than I have had the the past, explained its features and workings, and cleaned up thoroughly. They too were very agreeable and a pleasure to work with. All in all, Akian left me feeling that I was in good hands. In my view, Akian is a well-run professional company that I will use again, should a need arise.

Called for a leaky sink disposal. I am always very concerned that contractors try to use the opportunity to make phony alarming diagnosis and try to sell overly complicated repairs.

John came to my place quickly, explained the problem was trivial: faulty installation, and fixed it in one minute with a hammer for the price we agreed on over the phone... Boom, boom, and done.

He also gave me advice about other disposal issues that would look like the disposal need repair but could be trivially diagnosed be me. I appreciate the knowledge and the trivia.

At the end of the visit, I felt that the work done was appropriate, not rushed, and I felt I could trust this company again to work for me (as opposed to work for themselves) if I have another plumbing problem.

After providing good reviews for Ernie, I am now back here since my experience did change.

Ernie installed all the plumbing in my property, including a brand new Navien boiler. His job took 6 months to complete and by then, it was already summer so the new tenants did not need to use the heater.

Fast forward to October/November when the winter started, the brand new boiler started to shut down daily. I immediately reached out to him to fix the issue and like other reviews stated, it was everyone’s fault but his. It took him 7 months to fix the issue ( now again summer time). I still don’t know if it is fixed as the heat does not need to be on.

I spent well over 50-60k on plumbing work on him, and in the end, I looked at the numbers for my last invoice which I paid without reading( my fault) and discovered that I had overpaid him 1650 extra.

After trying to resolve this issue with him, and after I pointed out to him they the items on that invoice were already paid for, he then came up with an excuse as to why he charged this amount, according to him he spent 6 hours at 250 per hour to install a small baseboard on a tiny bathroom that was already installed by another plumber, it literally just needed to be connected, and did not take 6 hours, he definitely inflated the hours he worked on but instead of him being honest and refund the overpayment, he made up 6 hours of work that he never quoted for just to justify not refunding the overpayment.

In summary, Ernie acts and wants to charge like a pro, but his work, lack of knowledge and his sneaky ways of invoicing his customers determined the fraud he really is. If you are thinking about using him just be aware. Slow work, too many excuses and incompetent.

This is by far the sleaziest operation in town. Came over to snake the drain, blew a hole in our pipes and then charged me 1200$ To fix his mistake as water poured through the floors into the basement. Put me in a situation where I had no choice but to agree to this price. What a JOKE! Avoid them at all costs, many many other options out there.

No longer the same company that previously did my work.
