Our house is a plumbing nightmare—soon after we bought it it became apparent that the inspectors had missed an almost total failure of the system, and we went through a couple of plumbers trying to find one we liked as we ended up replacing most of the pipes underneath the bathrooms.

We didn't really have a good experience with any of them, so when some root problems started to creep in a year later we called Zing, who we'd used once at our old house down by Hearthstone, where they're based.

Well, actually we called a bigger company first, and they told us right away that we'd need to get the pipes coated and the fix would start at $5000. I brought Zing in for a second opinion, and before I told George anything about what the other guys wanted to do he gave me a really thorough rundown of what plumbers MIGHT do in this situation—one of the options was that coating process, but he personally suggested a much cheaper option, which we went with. It was great to hear a plumber's thought process as he explained the problem and all the possible solutions.

Better yet, when our problem cropped up again shortly afterward, he came by himself to fix it, even though it was a Sunday. I called expecting to get an answering machine and ended up having our plumbing back to normal within a few hours.

I feel like I've used most of the plumbers in town over the last year or so, and most of the time I've come away with at least the suspicion that I might have been taken for a ride. It's possible that's a me problem, but I didn't feel that way with Zing at all. Great work—and they stand by it—with even better communication.

Their communication was great, both from Crystal in the office and Jeremy S. the technician. However, the price seemed pretty outrageous.It only took about 10 minutes to replace an angle valve under my sink and the cost was over $300. The only part replaced was the valve itself (which maybe costs $40?) and the entire visit was about 30 minutes, including the initial explanation/inspection of the problem and then the repair.I understand that the prices of materials and labor have increased significantly, but it's hard to justify $300 for a straightforward valve replacement. Then again, this was the fourth plumbing company I called, and they were the first (and only) one that answered the phone, and I still had to get on their waiting list for several days. Sure, demand is very high right now, but this feels like price gouging.

We always use Temperature Control for our plumbing and heating needs. Tim and Reggie installed a new toilet and quarter turn fittings. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. They both are great assets for the company.
