I purchased a very expensive boiler (20k) last winter for them for our radiator heat.  They came to try to fix the old unit and said that our only option was a new one.  After some debate, we moved forward.  The installation itself was OK.  They left the basement door open for most of the time, and I had to ask them several times to close it because we were freezing.  I tried to ask them how it was going while they installed it, and they would barely respond.  Given the cost, I don't think this was unreasonable.  After the install, it stopped working completely after about 7 days.  I was pretty upset. They sent out a technician off hours who had no idea how to fix it. It turns out that the reason it stopped working was because the exhaust valve was installed incorrectly.  Apparently, it wasn't windy the day of the install, but there was more wind later on, so it needed to be installed differently.  Yikes. It works well now in terms of heating up the home.  I will say that the cost savings from this unit were not at all what they told us. The salesman made all sorts of claims about all the money we would save to run the unit.  All of that wasn't true.  It is cheaper to run our forced air units (although the radiator heat is much better; it heats evenly, there is no dust blowing around, etc.). We do love the radiator heat, but it isn't cheaper.  Maybe it is cheaper than a 50-year-old boiler, but he knew that wasn't our situation.  We weren't using the radiator heat at that time, which is why they were there in the first place.  All of this was really disappointing, but today, after switching back from Hoffman, I had someone out for a separate issue, and he was asking me about the unit.  Apparently, we could have gotten a similar unit and used it for our hot water as well.  He said it would have been another ~$1,000 (compared to getting a new $3000 water heater).  I remember the salesperson mentioning that as an option very briefly, and I expressed some interest.  I don't really know what happened in that particular part of the discussion after that, but at the very least I didn't understand the options, because it appears like it would have been a no-brainer based on what I am hearing today.  I have no idea what to believe on this particular issue, but it just added to my overall disappointment about the experience, which is why I am writing this review.

Our technician Dallas was highly knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He fixed our issue quickly and I was able to get right back to work. The timing from the pre-call was right on, and I will definitely use Roto Rooter again!

Guy passed up at 40K+ plumbing project....didn't even know it. Because he was being racial and stereotypical of the area....sorry pal. You should have given me just an ounce more of attention. And now, you have an honest and negative review.

I highly recommend! Great customer service, punctual and I am thoroughly satisfied with the quality work completed.

The technician was patient with my problem and spend time to answer my questions and concerns. He was thoroughly explain the process and spend time to clear the clog and spend extra time to run the auger to ensure it's all clean up.

If I could give no stars than I would. We will never use this company again! They tried to diagnose an issue with our main drain and flooded our basement in the process. Then left us with a massive mess in our basement and no way to clean it up. Management said that it was our problem although there was no flooding when they arrive! Very poor service and management had no resolution for us. Charged us $150 for less than an hour of work and left us with a massive mess to clean up.

Amazing service! From the initial call, to the techs, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. Their customer service and expertise is top notch. Will definitely use again!
