Great experience with Roto-Rooter. Online scheduling was quick and easy, and our technician was friendly, professional and thorough. Will definitely use them for plumbing needs in the future.

We just had Chris (6370) come out to look at our gas water heater. He was friendly, knowledgeable and got the job done quickly. I definitely recommend them. I’ll be requesting him next time! Thanks for coming out on a Saturday and getting us hot water again!

Finding a plumber on the weekend is no easy feat, but Roto-Rooter was ready and got a plumber to my house within 2 hours of my call. The service scheduler was empathetic and happy to help. Our plumber, James was timely, thorough, and friendly! He was determined to help me with the drain issues we were having, provided helpful tips to avoid issues in the future, and cleaned up the areas where he had worked. I would call and request him again, if I ever would have any additional issues.

Technician arrive within an hour of calling. He was was very professional, explained in detail what he was going to do and how much it would cost, and then got straight to work. They were more expensive than “the other guy”, but the other guy “cleaned” our sewer line barely a month ago and it was already backing up again - you get what you pay for.

Very short wait time to get a tech out to my location. Mike was a huge help. Very knowledgeable and very considerate of how he worked within my home. Did not leave any messes and was very professional.

Used them before 5+ years ago. Good experience, so I scheduled yesterday on line for today - very easy. Got a confirmation call and e-mail.. wonderful. The plumber called about 1/2 hour before he arrived. Got here 5 min. early - excellent. Explained what he was going to do before he began and gave me an estimate. Worked diligently, cleaned up so it looked like he was never here. Very nice guy, did excellent work. Cost came in under estimate which was the best part other than getting all my issues fixed. Will make certain they are the only place I call for plumbing work in the future.

I called and scheduled a same day appointment with no problem at all. The service mans who came to my home was Tim B. This man was kind, thorough, on time and even wore a mask without me asking him to. He explained everything he was doing and did an amazing job. I definitely would call this company again they are efficient, timely and reasonable.

I had a emergency situation and they were able to come our within an hour and a half of my initial phone call. The service man (Daniel) arrived promptly. He was professional and kind. Water came up from the drains in the basement. We called Roto-Rooter at 11:00 pm. The service man arrived the next morning. He assessed the problem and went to work clearing our drains before the water backed up and caused any damage. The technician was extremely professional and clean cut. Oh my goodness! I had a sewage emergency last night and we actually had to spend the night at a hotel. Lisa and Steve from RotoRooter were amazing. They were professional, got here quickly (on a Saturday!!!) and thoroughly explained everything that they were doing and why. Lisa came first to survey and assess the damage and had the cleanup crew set up for the next day. Steve came and unclogged the drain and let me know everything that was going on as he was doing it. He was extra careful while working and had this huge job done way faster than I expected. If the clean up crew that comes tomorrow is even half as good as Steve I will be a happy camper! I was able to make a same day Saturday appointment online. Steven came out & asked me a few questions and had me run the water. He knew what the problem was right away and explain to me what he was going to do and how much it was going to cost. He brought his equipment ran so much line through my sewer was able to clear the problem. He was very nice he even washed down my floor where it had flooded explain to me what would happen if I would need to call them out again. Steven was the best! Thank you for helping me!

Jamie was prompt, courteous and seems to be skilled. Our house was built in 1926, and has many unique plumbing issues.Our kitchen drain backed up yesterday and we could not clear it. He dealt with it, explaining everything he was going to do before he did it, and we look forward to a properly draining sink.

Called early in the morning and they came nearly right away. Found a larger leak than expected but was able to replace the pipe and the disposal unit immediately. Also caught another almost leak in a frayed cord but suggested we contact the company as he suspected we might be under warranty. I appreciate that he could have just taken the money and run on that one but didn't. He also suggested a coupon I hadn't thought to look for to save us money. Very grateful for that as well and a job well done. Would use them again in a heartbeat but hope we won't need to!

Donny came to our house at 7:30 on a Sunday evening and really helped us out. Two of our three toilets weren’t working but now all is good. He listened very well and took care of the problem.

I would like to say that the excavation specialist Drew Meyer, was extremely knowledgeable about what was going on and explained what he was seeing. He also was awesome in how he went through and throughly explored and explained all possibilities in correcting my issues. I would recommend him to everyone I know if they are having similar problems.

Terrible. Didn’t fix anything, said they had to charge a service call fee for taking everything apart, putting back together, and cleaning up. However, they didn’t put plumbing back correctly, leading to a massive leak under the sink after they left, and they didn’t clean, instead leaving a sink covered in black grime. On top of it all, the service technician was quite rude and dismissive of my mother and choose to not listen to the information regarding recent work that had been completed. I’ll never use roto rooter again. The worst experience. Again, nothing was even fixed after all of this!

The services were decent and they had to come back out because my sink was leaking due to the previous technician not tightening my dishwasher line on my garbage disposal. It shouldn’t have cost $200 though.

Date December 29th 2019Service technician Reggie Taylor 5212 and RichardIt all starts with the phone call. We called at 7:53 am and were told we'd have some one come out between noon and 4pm. They arrived at 3:00pm.The customer service agent over the phone were very courteous and informative. When it comes to Roto-Rooter remember you are estimated when the Technician arrives and assess the issue.Reggie and Rich arrived within the estimated time and were very upfront with the procedure. First they introduced themselves and asked what the issue was and had us show them the area of the incident and the main pipeline. Reggie has amazing customer service skills and could see that I was distressed. His ability to change the vibe and mood of his customer as well as handle the issues is amazing. He carries very good report. He explained that with our situation the main line was clogged and for this job it would cost 351 for the job outside. He let me know that the job inside would be 164 to finish the indoor snaking issue. He told us he recommended having the main line definitely taken care of out side because the sewage issue is a major plumbing emergency that our property manager should have had taken care of a while back. We had the job done for the main line and the basement. They finished the job in a timely manner and then continued on to their next job. Honestly a very positive experience having them come in. Highly recommended. They left around 5:45ish and gave us double copies so we could present this to our leasing people. We were informed that someone would be by for a followup of the job and help explain proper cleaning.

Tech cleaned drain from inside of house rather than outside clean out. Had to come back and clean out sewer from outside clean out only used a 3” cutter on a 6” line. Had to come back out a third time and just looked around and ran water and determined not to run the 6” cutter on the line and just wait until it backs up again

Gabby was the best at resolving the issues after others failed. He persevered and resolved the clogged sewer and buried clean-out. I asked for his card so that I could request for him to come back and finish the job of clearing a clean-out vent that had been covered by asphalt during expansion of the garage.

I would recommend Jason #3455 and RotoRooter to anyone with drain problems. He was on time, courteous, polite, and took time to explain cost and what was involved. He got the drain open and cleaned up well and was quick about it. Thanks! I don't know what hes paid,but RR should keep him happy.

Originally we called and they booked us for a 2-6pm time on a Monday. 7pm rolled around and no one yet so I called and they had to move me to the next day. That part wasn't great, but the next day the guy was here right at 8am, was very professional and worked hard to figure out where the issue was without having to remove a toilet and charge more. Connor was professional and got the job done quick.

We live in a mobile home and for years and years we were told that places like Roto- Rooter would not be able to help us out. They were so wrong. I used roto rooter to snake a main drain line that was backing up. They were able to make it within 2 hours of my call, on a Saturday. The technician was friendly, explained everything throughly and did a great job.

I was very pleased after booking my appointment on line last evening when I got a call early this morning that a serviceman was on his way here. By 8:15 AM, Joe arrived. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and proceeded to unclog my main drain. I am sorry I had paid a plumber a few weeks ago and the problem was not resolved. At this point I am ranking 5 stars. Let’s hope the problem is truly resolved. If not the 6 month guarantee makes me feel much better. Did not get that guarantee with the plumbing service

We had an emergency plumbing situation and called Roto-Rooter, and even though they usually have a 4 hour window, they were able to send someone right away, who came within about 45 min to address our problem. I had an emergency and they responded within 30 minutes of my call, assessed situation, had crew at my house same day to clean up, had identified issue and set up plan and executed it flawlessly. Professional, personable, friendly, and very patient with me being stressed out about situation. I recommend them for all services they offer.

Called in the morning about a leaking shutoff valve, and they got to me by 1pm. Don was very courteous and changed out 3 valves with new 1/4 turn valves. He finished in less than an hour, and made sure that all of my faucets worked properly after turning the water main back on. I'll be sure to call Roto-Rooter for future issues.

We had good service from roto-rooter, that is not the complaint. We have called the company 3-4 times due to an issue with the invoice/something should’ve been under warranty and we were charged more than double what we paid less than a year prior (when it was covered under warranty!!!!!) Each time they have said a manager will get back to us and never has. We argued the payment with our bank, in which we got our money back, but then got a letter saying we were overdue on a payment. On the letter it said if there were any issues, and left an email of a contact person, I have emailed twice and still yet to hear from someone! Poor poor customer service! Would not recommend due to this issue!

I was very happy with the service the was provided. The tech that came out was on time and was very polite and was able to unclog the line. The tech talked me through every step of what he was doing and to make sure it was ok for him to do it. I would recommend this company.

It is never good if you need to call Roto-Rooter however that being said we had a really great experience this weekend. Absolutely amazing customer service. Fixed the problem and even fixed one that he found prior to it turning into a bigger problem. He could have just left it, waiting for it to get worse but instead he brought it to my attention, made a simple fix and and saved me $100’s in repairs.

Omg, he was so HELPFUL and because I don’t know too much about plumbing he explained everything to me. I most definitely would use the company again as well as refer others. At this point I may even look into going to school for plumbing. He did an amazing job and I thank you so much.

I was working with another plumbing company who suggested I replace my water heater because the hot water was only lasting about ten minutes. Over $1,700 later, the new water heater didn't seem to fix the issue and so I called Roto Rooter instead. Chris came out the following day and correctly diagnosed the issue. He then promptly scheduled himself to come back out on his day off that week to do the work. He was very informative and answered all the questions I had. I will definitely go through them again next time I have a plumbing problem.

The last company I used told me they couldn’t guarantee their work because I have clay pipes and gave me an estimate of over $8,000 to replace my pipes if I wanted a guarantee. The service professionals that came out today made me feel much better about having clay pipes and told me it’s just important to continue to have the roots cleared out of the main regularly. They were glad I caught it early so it wasn’t a full clog/sewage backup situation. The woman I spoke to this morning to make the appointment was very courteous. There was about a 4 hour wait time, but they came in about 3 after calling first to make sure it was ok. They didn’t try to upsell me or scare me into thinking I needed new pipes. They also guaranteed their work for 6 months which is reassuring. It was a little more expensive than I thought it would be, but it’s worth it compared to renting equipment and trying to do it myself! And there was a $75 off coupon online. Overall I am satisfied with my experience.

Servicemen cleared basement floor drain and the drain from laundry tub. Excellent service. Extremely clean during clearing operations and mindful of surroundings - used tarps where necessary to protect surroundings. Also performed minor cleanup of floor after the floor drain cleanout - just some wet paper towels was all that was needed. Highly recommend.

We had Nick W (#6074) come to inspect the drain in our basement that had backed up. He proposed taking a look at the pipe leading out to the street to see if there were roots in the pipe. He did a fantastic job removing the roots (there were SO many) and helped us to figure out that the pipe (cast-iron) was bowing and would likely need to be replaced. Thank god he was so thorough because we would likely not have known there was a problem until the problem got substantially worse. He was so excellent and we will definitely be requesting him if we are in need of services going forward!!

My husband and I walked into our basement being flooded with sewer water. At first, we were unsure what the issue was. Sewer, water heater, sump pump. We got all the water cleaned up after multiple hours. And then saw the source after using the restroom. To say we were overwhelmed was an understatement. Thomas responded quickly, came out to our house within an hour of us calling, explained everything, and was incredibly professional. I was stressed about being unable to find a water mitigation company that could come to my house before end of the week (as two companies i called told me it would be end of business week). I mentioned how taxing the day has been. He advised they have a water mitigation as well as a plumber. He called both. And we had Heather come out to our house same day! In fact, she showed up before Thomas even finished! Both had many calming words and assurance that it was going to be okay. I was walked through the entire process and what the next few days will entail. They both left their numbers and encouraged me to call with any questions. I dont have one negative comment to make!

I clogged my kitchen drain at about 11pm and was able to get someone here by 8am the next day. The team was knowledgeable and professional and cleared my extremely blocked drain.

I was having issues with a leaking tub spout while the showering was running, and couldn’t figure how to do it myself. Scheduling an appointment was very easy with Roto-Rooter and I was able to see someone within 3 days. Luckily it was an easy fix, and an affordable price for the labor and parts. Also got advice about future renovations to the bathroom and a rough estimate in case I decide to do it. Grateful to have a full powered shower head again! Will use again in the future and definitely recommend for easy plumbing needs.

He got here early & was very professional. After locating the problem, he was able to fix it in a short period of time. Since I know nothing about about plumbing (or the water pressure I wasn’t getting), he explained everything in layman’s terms - without being condescending.It was a Very pleasant & helpful experience overall.

We had toilet backup once more, a yearly occurrence, and Nick W, was helpful enough to explain to me how the issue was occurring and offered to give us pipe cleaning liquid to help keep the pipes clean. Definitely will recommend him for others that need services.

I am extremely disappointed that the service guy charged me $418 dollars to snake my shower drain. I researched the average price for that service in the St. Louis area and it was between $100-$200. I think your service tech overcharged me so that he could make more money. I will never come back to Roto rooter again.

Alan first listened to the issue and comprehensively explained the possible problems and his recommended options for services. As we discussed our thoughts and the reason for the clog in the main sewer line, he listened carefully and made sure and tell us what each of the services offered would provide as solutions to our problem. After we decided on what we wanted he quickly went to work and resolved our problem.

The team Mike and Adam did an amazing job. Mike was the trainer and was training Adam. I really enjoyed how great Mike was with Adam on the education. I learned just as much from him. As I was working from home I loved how much they both enjoyed what they did. I was thinking about my own employee and how the customer relations could be shared at a staff meeting. Rotorooter you all are doing amazing work. Keep it up.

Their tech arrived quickly, was very courteous and upfront, and our issue was resolved inside of 20 minutes. Pricing was reasonable, though consistent with a middle-of-the-night emergency call; it could have been worse. Would definitely use them again, though I hope we don't have to. :)

I received the call upon there arrival as noted by their office. The gentleman was on time as said, he asked me of the problems I was having and explained to me the service price prior to service. Upon excepting the terms he immediately went to work explaining to me everything as to what to expect from the worst to the minor. When he was done he had shown me what was found and what to do in the future to help maintain clear pipes. My wife and I was very pleased with his work and recommendations. He was very polite and helpful. I will recommend Roto-Rooter to all my friends and relatives.

This was my first experience with Roto-Rooter, and I will definitely be using them again (if needed) and referring them to others. Sometimes one does business with a company that has a great product, but the poor service or negative attitude from the rep overshadows the great product. Other times a company can have a fantastic, positive, service-oriented rep, but what they offer is poor quality. Roto-Rooter had the best of both worlds. Tim was the rep, and he not only displayed high expertise while solving the problem, but he did it with positivity, enthusiasm, and friendliness. He was also conscientious and put safety first. I felt like I was treated with the same respect and patience with my questions that he would give to a family member. Sometimes things happen in aging homes that create stress. A poor experience with the repair person can make that stress even worse. Tim at Roto-Rooter allevieted the stress and helped my family and me get back to normal. I was called with a message when a plumber would arrive. Ray (Raymond) arrived in the time frame I was told. Had shoe covers on and was very polite and asked questions as to what was going on. I had no hot water in my master bath shower. Ray determined it was a bad cartridge. He also replaced two shower heads and I now have hot water in my master shower and it is running better than it ever has. Great experience and I would definitely call again in the future. Thank you!

Ms. Ruyle did a great job unclogging our kitchen drain. There were multiple clogs in the drain line & Ms. Ruyle skillfully tackled each one until the entire kitchen drain line was cleaned out. It was a tough job, Ms. Rutledge cleaned up the drain area very nicely when finished. If needed this service again I will use Roto Rooter & hope Ms. Ruyle is available.

Glenn Roeder the tech came a day early due to a cancellation. That was very helpful because we had to contact our city manager to proceed with repairs. Glen proceeded to camera our outside lateral. He did a fast and efficient job. The same day we submitted our repair order from Roto-Rooter to our city and are waiting for approval. I am always impressed with this company's expertise, and that's why we have been customers for over twenty years.

I couldn't have been happier with all the people I dealt with, and the service provided from Roto-Rootet. The service technicians were knowledgeable, answered all my questions and gave me tips to keep the drains clean. Were they more expensive than other companies I looked into? Some, but with all the work they had to do, including 3 service calls, I'd rather pay for good service. There is such a thing as too cheap and as they say you get what you pay for.

We called Roto-Rooter to clear out our main drain, since we had sewage backing up into our basement. They came out the same day, took a look at what was going on and they explained what the issue was and what they were doing to resolve the issue throughout the process. Bath tub water was not draining ,Eventually water drains after long time. The work was done in rental property and I was not physically present there. I asked the technician to provide me the reason for the clogged however no feedback or reason explained to me after the work completion. Disappointed!!!

I was amazed at the speed of Roto-Rooter's response. The service man arrived about 30 minutes after I called. Figuring out what caused my kitchen sink back-up required some expert knowledge. He had the diagnosis in less than 10 minutes, and the work completed in another 45 minutes or so. This is my second experience with Roto-Rooter, and I have now been impressed twice with their promptness, efficiency and friendliness.

I had an issue develop at 8:00 PM , called and right away they were able to find me a technician who could come out the same night with in a 2 hour window. I took it. The technician, TJ, arrived with in 45 minutes! He looked at the problem and gave me an excellent explanation of everything he was going to do before he started. He was fast and efficient in his work and was out the door before 10:00PM. I was Extremely happy with TJ's service, his efficiency, and professional manner!

The two gentlemen get five stars however it took three days for someone to show up so had to give the overall experience a three. First day someone showed up but did not give me a thirty minute heads up call as was stated would happen in the email. Showed up while I was helping a neighbor and left. Second day noone showed up and had a 1pm to 3pm block of time. Rescheduled around 6pm for another appointment the next day which is where it actually got fixed. Not my two gentlemens fault at all. Great work guys and thanks again!!

Our guy Steve did a great job & fixed our issue(s) he was very polite & explained what he was doing & showed the issues & corrected them. The Wife used a clorox bowl brush cleaner & the plastic disk piece came off & caused us clogging issues in our upstairs line. Steve retrieved it & cleared the pipe. Now we are good to go. Let me 1st say, the tech arrived timely ✅ and remained professional ✅. The ending outcome of the services rendered wasn't favorable. For the amount of money spent( $600+) , I would've preferred absolute confirmation of a clear passage way of flow in our commode. In the end we were told it was either a blockage in the commode itself or either the design of the commode that was hindering the tool from passing through. I appreciated the tech informing us that using the exploration tool further could break our commode and it is likely clear . While the services provided were thorough, we're now facing the possibility of needed a new commode. A life lesson learned after an unexpected expense.

My drains were backing up and Roto Rooter came out last night and recommended that we get the Hydro jetting service. Andy came out today and he was awesome in answering my questions and was very professional!! He explained everything I needed to know.

My main sewage line from house to main sewer line was plugged. Technician Thomas Springer was highly professional and knowledgeable in determining the cause and efficiently corrected the problem. He left the work site cleaner than when he arrived. I have worked with Tiger and Inspector Plumber previously and Roto Rooter,and especially Thomas, was hands down the best.

I would recommend Roto-Rooter. No charge for someone to come take a look and give an estimate. Scheduling the appointment was easy as well. Shawn was our service person and he was both efficient and thorough. He explained what needed to be done, gave a quote and was patient while we decided if we would go ahead with the work. He completed the job in the time estimated and went through and explained what he did and asked if we had any questions. His description of his work on the invoice is very detailed and legible, which today is sometimes hard to find. We were very pleased with his work. Price was a little higher than some other estimates but other estimates required more time to complete.

I had to have a large section of my main line replaced; the whole process was as seamless at it could possibly be. The supervisor came on the first day to scope the pipe with no charge. His proposal spelled out exactly what to expect. On the day the service technicians came, they completed the job in under three hours, then cleaned the area and spread new grass seed and straw on the lawn to speed the regrowth. They too were pleasant and explained exactly what they were doing.I had an additional (unrelated) problem that required me to use this service a week later. Again, the company called me in advance to let me know that a serviceman was on his way. Bob Sisco did a great job of fixing this new repair and making sure that he did not leave a mess. He was thorough in ensuring that no new problems would surface. He even took care that my cat did not run out of the house while he was going outside to check on the exterior vent. I was again pleased with the service.

My plumber, Glenn, arrived exactly on time and was friendly and attentive. He made sure that I understood what he was doing from start to finish. There was no attempt to upcharge or sell unnecessary services. He quickly located the problem, had me unclogged in minutes. Additionally, I had asked to have my floor line camera'd and recorded out to the street to check the state of my pipes. He did this, and while I watched he explained everything we were looking at. Then he marked the location of the lines on the floor for future use. Roto rooter may not always be the cheapest, but in this instance I was ecstatic with the service I received. I highly recommend that anyone who needs quick service in the area ask for Glenn Roeder specifically.

Roto-Rooter came to my house on a Friday evening and fixed the clogged drain in my basement. Thomas did a great job on the drain. Restoration came too and are coming back on Saturday. Two other companies I called didn't have time to come on Friday evening but Roto-Rooter did.

The employees were very knowledgeable. I wasn't able to cut through the tree roots in my drain line with a rented roto-rooter, but they were able to use a jet stream and a camera to get all the roots out. They saw with their camera that I actually had a second access pipe in the yard that I didn't know was there. It will come in handy for future maintenance. I feel like they really went above and beyond.

We got Mike as our service tech today from Roto-Rootor and all I have to say is wow. He did an amazing job taking my 2 sinks which were basically not working and now they drain perfectly. Thank you Mike and will be using Roto-Rooter again.

Justin was the best! He came after 10 PM to unclog my sewer which was backing up in my basement. He was polite, professional, timely, patient and very knowledgeable. I had a stubborn sewer clog, but he was persistent and finished up his work after midnight. While here, he addressed all of my drainage/sewer questions and unclogged my garbage disposal. I used Roto-Rooter decades ago and was happy with their work and pricing. I still highly recommend them.

Robert Johnson was very good at my repair. When I had a leak in my dishwasher we were able to determine that the issue was with the appliance. He was also generous enough to inform me that my sink shutoff valves needed to be brought up to code. We did this and it works beautifully. If anyone has a plumbing issue, contact Roto-Rooter! They do WAY more than just clear drains!

We have been battling with plumbing issues for almost two weeks ...Air academy came out to do the work ....replaced old pipe but problem didn't fix the issue..called and told them Tuesday evening and was told someone would call me first thing Wednesday morning....no one called so I called Roto Rooter...they sent Dan out this morning...someone was able to cone last night but we weren't available...anywho Dan come un and fixed the clogged drain....waited and checked to make sure it was working and had the camera guy come out....after almost two weeks we have a clear drain and no more backup...

Joe (tech 4075) and assistant Drew were great! They came out with a camera to diagnose a recurring problem with our sewer line clogging. We learned a bit more about how roots exist within our very old cast iron line, and how to manage that problem.

Just happened to see tech Glenn Roeder working at my next-door neighbor's house, so I asked him if he had time to take a look at our vent on our front lawn. He kindly returned later in the day, honestly told me what was need to inspect and clean our line, and proceeded to take care of it in less time than estimated. He told me what needed to be done in the future for proper maintenance, and he differentiated between what was or was not urgent. I was very pleased with the service he provided for my and my family on such short notice.

I had a severe blockage in my homes main sewer line. My toilet and bath/shower were completely non functional so a quick and effective solution was important. I made my appointment with Roto-Rooter around lunch time on a Saturday for 4pm and a representative quickly called and offered an even faster service time.My service technician, Steven arrived right on time and quickly made an assessment and got to work. Clearing the blockage was proving more difficult than normal but Steven’s 30 years of experience provided some extra tricks that he utilized to successfully clear the sewer line which was incredibly relieving on my end. He then showed me what to look for in a properly operating system and gave me some advice on being proactive in preventing any future issues.I cannot recommend Steven and the team at Roto-Rooter enough!

Personable and after finding out our usage gave a reasonable idea of what caused it after he blasted thru clog and got things flowing. Scot Jones came to my residence for a stinky situation.Sewage smell in the basement. Scot was very thorough and identified two possible issues. One was the floor drain and the second was the toilet stack.Scot was able to use a camera and eliminate the floor drain as being the issue which saved our household about $5000-$7000.I never saw a plumbing specialist with a bigger smile as he tore up the hefty quote.I hope to never have a stinky problem again, but if I do, Scot from Roto-Rooter will be on my speed dial.

I received a call, as requested, approximately 30 minutes from the arrival of the technician. This was an emergency service and Mike, the technician, arrived a little after 1:00 in the morning. He was very professional and friendly AND HE WORE HIS FACE COVERING. He quickly assessed the issue and addressed the problem. The whole process took just over an hour and Mike was took the time to explain the billing and payment process in these situations. No one would elect to be up at one in the morning to deal with a drain issue, but if I ever have to again, my interaction with Mike would make Roto-Rooter my choice.

I called Roto-Rooter and they were here within an hour and fifteen minutes. When you have water flooding in your basement, time is a huge concern. Not only that, but we had had a problem seven months ago and the service agent, Mr. Terry, took some time to help us understand why we were having a problem again. He was able to let me know some of the things we were doing that we had no clue that we were causing a problem with our septic tank. Roto-Rooters quick and reliable service not only fixed our problem but they have also helped us in the long-run.

Called Roto-Rooter on 3/15/16 and they had an inspector out same day. Scheduled drain clean out the next day and done that afternoon. Service Tech, Andy (#2624) called ahead, was on time, helpful and completed work to satisfaction. Would definitely recommend these guys!

Laundry drain backed up on a Sunday. Roto Rooter sent a technician out within an hour. Technician was professional and very nice; however, he unfortunately broke his equipment in the drain and exacerbated the problem. Roto Rooter sent a more senior technician (and a trainee) out Monday morning, and they had the issues resolved within 1.5 hours. Very friendly, professional, and explained the issues clearly. Despite the rocky start on Sunday, the company and the second set of technicians made it right

This was my first time dealing with the company. I called for service at 4:30, they had somebody at my house by 8pm on a Friday night. I was blown away by how quickly they were able to come out. This was the 2nd time I have used Roto-Rooter. Both times, they were on-time, professional, and very helpful with any of my questions. This time they sent out Thomas to check my sewer line because I noticed some light debris in my basement drain. Thomas explained the possibilities and did some testing of the line, which turned out to be fine. He did not try to pressure me into making any snap decisions but explained very clearly what my options were if I wanted to take some preventive measures. It's great when homeowners are met with a straightforward approach from professionals and I think he sets a great standard that others could learn from. If I ever have plumbing issues I will always be contacting Roto-Rooter first.

Over the weekend I had a clog in my house that backed up my toilet in my basement. I called on Sunday morning and Thomas was here by afternoon. We had a super slow drain- come to find out we were 6 inches from a major sewer back up! Jeff came out in the afternoon for a slow drain and ended up staying late- he didn't leave until the job was done. I was very impressed with his dedication and how thorough he was getting the job done. It was a lot tougher than we expected, and I was very happy he completed the job the same day.

Rooter Rooter called 30 minutes prior and the technicians were right on time. The walked the perimeter and were able to determine what work needed to be done. They completed the job in roughly an hour and explained the process as they were doing it. Wonderful service.

First, I was surprised when I called that I could get service on a Saturday without paying a premium . My service was ordinary, not an emergency. My technician was delayed by one hour but I received multiple update calls keeping me informed. My technician, Bob Johnson, was courteous and efficient. He carefully explained the work he would do and the cost of both parts and labor and applicable discounts for multiple work before beginning. He completed the work remarkably quickly. The kitchen faucet repair required a new faucet, which he had to delay until Monday due to the special nature of the faucet mounting. He also checked the home water pressure and found it was 135 pounds--way too high. So he replaced my 28-yr old main income line and brought the pressure down to 45, which will preserve all my water-using appliances. He returned as promised on Monday and efficiently completed the kitchen faucet replacement with a much better quality faucet. I am very pleased with my experience and the results.

He did the best that he could with the circumstances that we had and offered us a variety of options. He gave his personal suggestions but respected what our decision was. Service: Main line and sewer lateral cleaning. Tim was professional and thorough throughout his visit. He was able to determine that there was a blockage in our sewer lateral from our builder. You could tell he is very skilled in what he does but he also took the time to do explain the next steps to ensure we were confident in the process. Tim showed work ethic that is hard to find nowadays. He continued to work through our issue that we have determined is from when our house was built and has helped provide the steps to complete this process so we do not have issues again. We would highly recommend Roto-Rooter and also recommend Tim as your service provider.

One of our big auxiliary lines that fed to the main pipe in our house was clogged. Tried snaking it ourselves and poured all kinds of chemicals down the line but no luck. Scheduled an appt with Roto-Rooter online late at night and they were out the next day. Mike, our plumber, asked me some questions and figured out the problem and got it fixed in under an hour. I had a cracked PVC pipe below my toilet. I originally set the time for them to come out Friday between 4 pm and 8 pm. The manager called a little before 4 to reschedule. This was great! With other companies I've dealt with they call 2-3 hours into the window. I rescheduled and Don was able to come out first thing the next day. He did a great job! I was a little nervous that he would have to cut into the floor or wall, but he was able to get it done just by cutting the pipe!Don then was able to put on my toilet and take care of everything for me. He did the work but after turning the tub on for a few seconds, flushing the toilet, and turning the sink faucet on he immediately quoted me $418 because I’m a young female that doesn’t know any better. My boyfriend then went and said he wanted to get other quotes and the man immediately dropped it to 280. I unfortunately won’t be using roto rooter again.

I called these guys and someone was here in less than two hours. The worker was courteous, understanding, and communicated clearly what he would do in response to our problem, and how much it would cost. Another gentleman gave us an estimate for clean-up but ultimately it was such a small mess it didn’t make sense for us to employ professionals for it. He was courteous and professional and took the time to explain the issue and then took care of the problem in a short amount of time. Overall it was a great experience and Reggie’s pleasant nature made us happy we called Roto-Rooter. We would recommend the company and Reggie to our family and friends.

We had a suspected block in our main sewer line leaving the house. James was on time, nice, professional, and got the line cleared quickly. He made sure to test the line extensively before leaving to ensure the problem was indeed solved. The flat rate price was $395 ($320 with $75 online coupon). A bit steep, in my opinion, for an hour and a half of work, but there could be instances where it takes much much longer and then it’s probably a bargain. All-in-all would consider using again, if necessary.

We had our sewer line back up late at night. We were in a bit of a bind because the landlord had planned to have the property inspected the next day. Roto-rooter had someone out within the hour and had the problem taken care of within 45 minutes. The technician was very polite and courteous. He made sure to work as quietly as possible since we also had a very crabby toddler who had finally fallen asleep. We definitely appreciated the professionalism and quick response to the problem.

Before he started any work, he explained that he would try to clear it from the outside pipes, which would be one fee, and if that did not work, he would need to bring equipment inside to continue the work, which would be another fee. I am retracting my perfect rating until my issue is resolved. The sink removal went good and I also had the tech replace the flusher in my upstairs toilet which he did. I called on Sunday to get this taken care of but now I have to wait another day until Monday. I was told more charges depends on what is found. I am a senior on a fixed income and this original charge of $565 was devastating to me. I will change my rating when this is resolved with no charges but right now I’m not happy having to get this done again and use another day of my time

The service was fantastic. Our technician James had a rough job unclogging our kitchen sink. It took nearly 3 hours of work but he got the job done and was very friendly and professional. Never heard any complaints from him and he completely cleaned up the sink and the floor and put everything back under the sink. The fee was a little pricey but worth it for that kind of service.

We were very pleased with Roto Rooter's emergency services. I manage an Independent Senior Living Building and we had an issue on a Friday night. We called Roto Rooter and they were here within the hour. The service man, Mike, was great. He worked efficiently and even cleaned up after himself. Nick was very professional and thorough. He made sure my main drain pipe was cleaned out and water was running through it. He was very tolerant, and answered my many questions. He was very good at explaining things so that I could understand them. He also made a couple of recommendations as to things I can do in the future to hopefully avoid another clogged drain pipe.

I had an appt scheduled for the next day but our clogged toilet turned into an emergency situation. I called to see if we could get someone out that night and they informed me they had 2 technicians in my area and they would send one out when they were finished. Within the hour they called me to let me know someone was on their way and it would be about 30-45 minutes. Brian showed up within that time. He looked at things, asked questions, and explained pricing with me before starting anything. When I told him that we wanted the toilet unclogged and him to clean the main line since they were there, he made sure I understood it may not be necessary and how much it would cost. We told him to do it anyway and he did a great job! Very polite and answered all questions.

Scheduled a consultation to connect gas lines to the building. Though we had a scheduled arrival time of 10-12, we didn’t end up having a plumber come by til 145pm. This was because I missed the call from the dispatcher, and though I called back within 10 minutes, let them know that we were home even if I didn’t answer my cell, and then called back 1 minute after the following call, it still delayed our appointment by almost 2 hours. It was difficult to get in touch and communicate with the dispatcher and an annoyance having to reassure them multiple times that yes we were home and yes we still needed someone to come by. Just a needless waste of my time. The plumbers who arrived were courteous and quick. It was actually getting them to arrive at my place that was a challenge.

We have used RotoRooter in the past for sewer problems but this was the first time for a plumbing problem. When my husband called early in the morning to inquire about their services, he got to speak with someone immediately who was very pleasant and helpful. They had a repairman at our home by noon. I was having issues with my shower and the water just wouldn’t even work on some days. I called maintenance late on a Friday, and they sent Roto-Rooter out to assist that following Monday morning. He even turned off the lights in the areas once he was finished in them! (Do you know how many people just leave on lights? He was certainly raised right.) This is the best water pressure I’ve had in my 3 years here! I can’t vouch for any of the other employees, but Brenden was awesome and I would certainly recommend him.

Agreed verbally to a do not go over price after a bid with a range of $6,000 from low end to high. Work ended up costing several thousand dollars more than high end of bid and no phone call was ever received about going over agreed upon amount.2. Estimates are vague and do not spell out exactly what will be done or how much it will cost. Bid has a large range and the small print states actual cost may be higher. My question: what good is the estimate then?3. Final cost was misrepresented in conversation with project coordinator, i.e. sales guy. He offered to remove some flooring at a lower cost (after a phone conversation with his boss that he had out of earshot) and this was done at much higher cost, and denied conversation ever took place.In short, i cannot in good conscience recommend this company. If you have no choice, get a very detailed line item estimate and get every promise in writing. they make you sign multiple documents multiple times, read everything.I was mislead and lied to.

Charged $550 plus $400 labor for Zoeller sump pump install . The model retails $310 at Lowe’s and at online retailers. Unfortunately , when your basement is flooded you can’t negotiate price. I understand everyone needs to make a profit but they need to be reasonable. Please comparison shop before you hire.

He explained all that he was doing and at what stage he was in while clearing the drain. It was backed in the basement where I do my laundry. It is a floor drain and we have a very old home in south city. We have had problems before so I was happy Glen could take care of this problem for us.

This is the second time Robert has been out to our house and roto rooter has come out many times. Always professional, very knowledgeable, and availability is great. Had them out for a water heater replacement, toilet install, backed up pipes, and most recently replacement of combo old leaking outdoor spigot and faulty old water shut off valve to said spigot.

Got the job done, but was WAY overpriced for 3 days work. Gave us some verbal promises if they got done soon on renegotiating the contract. They suddenly became unavailable and would not talk to me. I am so disappointed they took advantage of a situation we needed done. Buyer beware! Get other bids before you agree to them even if it takes longer.

The plumbing technician was very friendly and thorough in evaluating and assessing our situation here. He did a thorough review inside and outside around the property to find the necessary access that he would need. He explained everything very thoroughly, told us our options, and various prices for services. He was conscientious of the sewage that had backed out of the floor drain, and was careful not to step in it and track it through the carpet. He suggested that we purchase the Pipe Shield for future use so that we would not have the buildup of grease in our pipes. We appreciate that also and bought a gallon for future use. All In all, a very good experience with Roto-Rooter.. our first need in 10 years.

This review has two parts. First is the blocked sanitary sewer backup issue. The Technician Daniel Lee did a super excellent job of getting it cleared. He started at 12:30am and I accompanied him out at 3am. He did a great job.Part 2--this is where Roto Rooter gets a grade F. Daniel did his best to give my clean up work a high priority with his dispatcher and assured me that your company could handle the cleanup and would call me between 8am and Noon the next day. You know what's coming, right? At 11am or so I called Daniels local office given his business card he gave me and they said the next job would be mine and that someone would call me soon. NOBODY EVER CALLED! So I called another company and they were out timely and did a great job cleaning up the mess and sanitizing everything. Your company took a great job by Daniel and turned into a bad job. I would never recommend Roto Rooter to clean up anything.

Thaddeus, tech #2098, was absolutely great! We had a problem late on a Saturday afternoon. He was able to get to us by 7:00pm. He worked steadily until 10:00pm to get our sink unplugged. He not only fixed the plugged up kitchen sink but cleaned the area better than it was when he got here. I will call Roto Rooter and ask for Thaddeus any time in the future I may need those services and will pass this information and recommendation on to my friends.

Our technician was very attentive and knowledgeable. He provided great insight in to what may be causing our basement drain to clog. After about 45 minutes to an hour he was able to break through the clog and get our drain back to working properly. He provided his business card so we could contact him if we had any issues in the future. My experience with RotoRooter was very pleasant and I would recommend them again.

Shawn is very thorough. The scheduling was a bad experience because it took 3 attempts to get someone out. I was told the previous 2 days that a tech was scheduled then around pm, I received a call that they couldn’t come and that I had to reschedule the next say. Luckily, Shawn was able to come today and if it weren’t for him, I would have provided a 2 star rating.

Had a line clogged in our back to back bathroom vanity drains. Roto-Rooter cam out within about 2.5 hours on a Saturday morning. Technician (Pat) was very courteous and clean during his work. Took care of issue, explained what had happened, and gave recommendations for avoiding clogs in the future.

Great experience, quite a bit pricey but got the drain unclogged. Forced service when your basement is going to flood because of a Main drain is clogged and they make you pay for that. I believed a few hundred was good for <30 min of work but then it’s over 400$ Technician is great clean and got the job done. Probably will look for another company next time with not such a rip off price so shop around.

Great job!My only issue is with the scheduling. My appt window of 8 - 10 was confirmed. The day of the appt came, and I received a text that my tech would be here by 10:10. I called around 11 because he still wasn't here, and was told he should be pulling up any minute. He arrived about 11:45, almost two hours after the appt window.If you confirm an appt time, and aren't able to keep that commitment, the least you can do is inform the waiting customer. If said customer calls, be honest about the delay. My time matters too.

Had a great experience with Roto Rooter. I had a fairly simple issue with a drain cartridge in which they were able to help with. We received a quick response to our call for plumbing work to repair busted drain pipes in our basement. We were given an estimate and scheduled the work within a week's time. The serviceman showed on time and got right to work. He discovered that the repair would take considerably less time than the estimate with less damage to our basement floor. Since he finished quicker, the actual cost came in considerably less than the original estimate. I am very pleased with the service and the work completed.

We had a backed-up sewer line emergency on Saturday morning and called RotoRooter at 9AM. A technician arrived at our house at 10AM and the problem was taken care of by 11:30AM. I didn't want to call anyone to repair my water line cause in the past I have had such bad experience with rude people. Being over charged then leaving a mess. The rotor Rooter person was very knowledgeable quick friendly cleaned up after himself. Didn't even know he had been here. The price was very reasonable. Main line and basement floor drain clean out- came quick after I called them same day. Explained things effectively & worked efficiently; friendly service.

Had them out for a sewer backup. They showed up within a couple hours. They pulled lots of roots out of my lateral and went above and beyond trying to get the problem resolved. After four hours he was able to get water to flow but there seems to be a bigger issue than just a clogged pipe.

Mike came right on time and roto-rooted his hardest (apparently we had a stubborn drain). But his hard work was fruitful and our drains are clear! He was very professional and tidy, tysm!

I had a terrible experience with Roto-Rooter!I called because my sewer drain in my basement had backed up. They sent a technician out who “cleared” the blockage. I asked about their water clean up service and the technician said he would have someone call me. No one called. I reached out again and the water clean up guy told me my job wasn’t really big enough and to just clean it up using some bleach. I called a different clean up company who did the job costing just under $1500 for removing flooring, drywall and sanitizing the area.26 days later it happened again! The second technician came out and said the line was “ heavily slugged”. He cleared the line and actually cleaned it out so the problem would not happen again. I spoke with a manager, Bill, who at first tried to blame the 2nd flood on a toilet that he said was improperly vented. They sent their own plumber out who discovered that the toilet was actually properly vented. Bill agreed. At that point Bill lead me to believe that RR would take responsibility for the second flood and worked with me in gathering the information needed and all invoices for the work that was outside of the scope of my insurance claim for the first incident. The second clean up was over $3000 because more damage had been done. After the repairs were made he sent in the invoices and told me in situations like this it normally takes 8-10 days to be compensated. Well... when I emailed him asking for the status of my claim he said his manager and he looked back at the original invoice and the technician had said he cleared the line so they do not feel responsible!! I was astonished to say the least. When I complained to the company, the customer relations person who contacted me for my grievance did nothing except pass my complaint on to a manager. Guess who the manager was...Bill! The same manager who miss handled the situation in the first place.I had to file another insurance claim, pay another deductible and now I was notified that my homeowners insurance company is dropping me! I am having difficulty finding homeowners insurance because most companies won’t even talk to you if you have two claims on your record and the quotes I am getting are substantially higher than what I was paying. Roto-Rooter has cost me a fortune!

Mike and Kyle were great. They came by, found the clog, cleared it and was able to determine a broken pipe in no time, and Heather with Water Mitigation came by to check on things. Next step it to get the pipe repaired.

Call for water backing up in kitchen sink on a Sunday. Quick phone response, followed by email confirmation, and a couple hours later service tech Justin came over to take care of clogged drainage line. Very professional, cleaned as he went. Explained everything very well and gave me filled out paperwork. Hope I won’t use the 30 day guarantee.

I incurred additional costs to purchase items for temporary fix until I could get another plumber to repair pipe another additional cost however, would I use this service again? We called Roto-Rooter for the bathtubs that would drain very slowly causing water to back up while trying to take showers. We also had the sink backing up into one of our bathtubs which was horrifying to say the least. We actually tried calling another company, Mr. Rooter, first but they lied to us about a technician being at our door (he wasn't) and then they later told us that the technician chose not to serve that area. They left us waiting for 6 hours!!! without ever calling to explain what the problem was; we had to call them. ANYWAY, we were able to schedule an appointment online for Roto-Rooter (super convenient) and within 15 mins of submitting the request, Steven called to say that he was on his way! He arrived and was able to quickly diagnose our problem (massive hair clogs from the previous owners) and had the issues fixed within an hour. Steven was polite and quick, but also made sure that he showed us that the problems were indeed fixed. The work came with a 6 month guarantee so we also have peace of mind. Roto-Rooter is excellent and I would recommend that anyone with a drain/sewer problem to call them FIRST. Don't trust the knock-offs!

Thomas was really great and very professional. He went step by step to figure out what caused our basement to flood. He was knowledgeable and figured out that the problem was the outside sewer. Though it wasn't something he could fix he advised us how to address the problem and what to tell the sewer company. That enabled us to get the clog resolved as it was up from our house. If we need services again I would choose them again as they make a litercrappy situation better.

I called RR this morning and the phone operator was courteous. I did ask for a fee list standard so I could know what to expect for cost. She was unable to provide that and said the technician will quote the job when he got here and I could accept or decline service with no charge. This to me was code for its going to be expensive. Minutes after I hung up I got a call from the dispatcher saying a technician can be on the way and there in the next 30 minutes which he was. When he arrived he was friendly and courteous. I described the work to be done (my washer drain pipe backs up inconsistently putting water on the floor) and he said its a common problem with front load washers and that it was likely lint and soap scum causing the slow drain. Cost would be $284. The total job took less than 10 minutes and he was ready to go. I'll give it all an A except for cost. Seems high for what time was spent. I'd use the service again.

The services offered were great, no problem there. But my appointment window was scheduled from 8am-10am. The technician did not get to my house until after 1pm, after I called multiple times into the office and was told that I was next in line both times and that he should be there any moment. So if you have any time restraints do not get your appointment for that day and wait until your whole day is free because they are bound to show up well after your appointment window without any notification that it is going to be later then the set window.

We came back after being out of town, having a dog sitter staying in my home, only to find a clogged kitchen sink. I looked up the phone number of Roter Rooter only to find that you don’t even have to call them, just go online put in your name and tell them the problem, and they send someone to your home, that was nice. It told me to watch for the email to confirm, within 15 minutes it was there. The service guy Mike #5428, was here at our house, with his mask and gloves already on. He worked with my husband to figure out what was going on, and about half hour later , they had it unclogged. We have some touchy pipes, so he sold us a big container of cleaner that will last us 5 years. Good service, very professional, he was very concerned about cleaning up after himself. My toilet float got stuck so the tank overflowed and I couldn't turn the water off because there was something wrong with the shut-off valve. I was able to prop the flap open so that the tank would drain, and then called Roto-Rooter right away. They had someone out to check on the problem very quickly. He told me that we definitely had to get the plumber in. The plumber came pretty quickly. He was very professional. Very safe. And handled my problem quickly. I was very happy with the service I received today.

I called about my basement drain which was blocked up late last night and I was offered an appointment the same day! Steven came out and had our drain cleaned and educated us on how to determine where the blockage is and whether the sewer main is involved, how to find the house outlet drain, and recommended an enzyme cleaner to help break down the biological sediment that caused our blockage this time and prevent future blockages. Our drain has a warranty not to back up again for 6 months. Steven left the area clean and was professional and friendly. I'm so glad I called! Paying $500 to install a toilet and My experience was terrible.. didnt culk the bottom... toilet water was running didnt come back a properly fix it so i ended up doing it myself... costumer service is rude after telling me a plumber will be back out the same day then 20 mins after getting a confirmation text saying the same thing i recieved a call saying they wouldnt be back out so my toilet was to run the rest of the night... ill never use this company again.

We had been having an issue with the drain stack for the washing mashing back up and overflow. I tried several things before calling Roto-Rooter. They were able to book an appointment for the same day. Aaron was the tech that came out and figured out that there was a blockage between the washer stack, the kitchen stacks and the drain in the basement. He was able to get it opened and flowing again. He was knowledgeable and friendly.

I had Zach 0580 from Roto Rooter take care of a drain that was clogged on January 12, 2019. He was so polite. He explained everything he was going to do very thoroughly. He pursued every way he could to get rid of the tree roots that were causing the blockage. That included removing the stubborn cap on the stack and having to go 60 to 70 feet to get to the blockage. He cleaned everything up and left the area as it was before his repair. I would highly recommend Zach for any repairs you need. It was a pleasure working with him.

We called Roto Rooter due to a clogged shower drain on Saturday. 24 hours later we now can’t use our shower, sink or toilet. There is a cable sticking out of the drain, waste in the tub and we are being told they don’t have resources to help us u til Monday.. not first thing Monday, 8-10 am . We paid them 200 on Saturday and the situation is worse.Update- Roto Rooter really responded and turned this situation around quickly. After being in or new home for 2 months as well as a new 3 week old baby, we had a sewer blockage, I called Roto-Rooter at 9pm on Friday and someone came at 8am the next day. They were fast, affordable and professional. The gentleman really knew a lot about plumbing and was able to get my situation sorted fast. Appointment was between 12-4 for a tech to come out. They call you 30 min before they plan to be there which is perfect as I was meeting them there. They called at 11:45 said they’d be there in 30 min. At 12:13 they were parked outside! Timely response was beyond met so I can get on with my day. Additionally they went over the pricing and we got a root clean and camera scope after. It was awesome seeing the before and after and that they go back in if they see any other roots. They made me feel involved and like my money paid was beyond worth the service and customer service provided!

Everything about the service was easy and positive. The technician arrived in a very reasonable amount of time, finished snaking the lines in less than an hour and told me in general terms what he found and the best maintenance schedule to avoid backups. Woke up this morning with a toilet backing up. Tried to remove the clog myself, but the line was only 6ft. Technician came out asap and flushed the clog, unseated and seated the toilet, cleaned up, and even took hair out of the bathtub drain (which would have cost more $$ down the line)! They had been out here 3 years ago. Finally this youg man said he would get a tech with a snake out here. Now in comes Steven with the snake and 45 min later problem is solved.
