Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

The technician was courteous, effective and effecient. He cleared the drain in less than 20 minutes after getting his equipment into the house. He was on time, according to our schedule. He locked up and left things in an orderly fashion.I have used the Roto Rootor through the years. I am well aware that EVERYTHING has soared in price. But. the service fee for this job was exorbitant! It is now four times what I remember paying the last time service was needed.

I’ve had nothing but good service from RR - good, good experienced craftspeople providing insight and solutions on request. Plumbing problems are stressful problems and the staff approaches each one with tact and calm.

Service man who was sent out (Matt) quickly assessed the situation and gave me clear estimates of what each potential service he needed to perform prior to work. He made sure I understood the costs that could incur and next steps he would take if the problem couldn't be solved that day. He understood the rental situation and made sure to take down landlord information if anything more needed to be done. Overall good experience, better if people could've been sent out the night before given it was an emergency situation.

Absolutely awful customer service; doesn’t complete their jobs. Tries to rip off their customers.RotoRooter came out for an emergency call on a Sunday morning in November to fix our sewer backup. They were supposed to come out Monday to clean up the category 3 water, which we were fine with, but called to let us know they could come out early, Sunday evening — despite never notifying of any changes in charges for this, they charged us for weekend overtime hours. The (extremely rude) restoration contractor marked several areas of our basement for removal due to black water and mold, but failed to remove both the workbench and vanity they had marked. I called several times to get someone back out to complete the work, no one ever responded. We finally had to complete the work ourselves.In December, they sent an invoice for $800 more than our insurance had approved them to charge (they fought back on the overtime charges); I pushed back asking multiple times via email and phone for an updated invoice deducting the cost to remove the soiled vanity and workbench ourselves; I have received zero response other than a threat to be sent to collections if I don’t remit payment.I will never again call RotoRooter for any water issues, do to their contractors with bad attitudes, shady ways of doing business to get more money for the (incomplete) job, and poor customer service when attempting to resolve an issue.

Our sump pump finally quit after 18 years-it would no longer shut off once all the water was drained out nor kick on once it was full. We had to manually turn it on and off. We called Roto-Rooter and they sent someone the next day. They gave us a 2 hour window and the plumber arrived shortly after the start time. He was very friendly, patiently answered all my questions and told me how much before he started. He did a great job and our new pump is so much quieter than the first! Will definitely call this company again for our next plumbing need!

Came promptly on short notice on a Sunday. Followed Covid protocol, was quick and respectful.***After a month I had to have my pipes rootered again, then another month later, though I used a different company. I had my lateral line scoped, knowing I had a break in the line (turns out there are two), and I found out that roots were prominent throughout the line and that Roto-Rooter and the other company were seemingly unable to clear anything than the “soft obstruction” caught on the break. Maybe my expectations were too high? The staff was still great, I’m just not so satisfied with the job. Downgrading from 5 stars to two, they were still prompt and kind. Would rate 2 1/2 if I could, as the job was partially done.

The only company (or product) that I’ve ever left a negative review for. Do not use this company unless you plan on using another company to fix all of their mistakes. Also, do not contact water mitigation manager, Chris Neu, unless you have 3-6 months to wait for a response. Could not recommend any less!

The great reviews on here I would assume are more for in-depth exponential jobs.Unfortunately I would not recommend this team for traditional in-house plumbing jobs.My first experience,Hey gentleman came out reviewed the issue and said it was unfixable without bringing an HVAC team out.Went to a different company and he fixed it in a half hour.Because of this I felt that the service charge from this company that told me it was unfixable was not an ethical charge.I reached out to the company three times in order to get a refund but kept getting put off. Finally I got a hold of somebody and she said she would refund me the service charge.Due to the reviews I reached back out to them to have a specialist come out and review a different situation regarding a simple piping job.The specialist new very little and unfortunately had to continuously call to ask questions.He then claimed that there was a part that needed to be purchased. He said it's $70 but they charge an extra 1.6%. so his math concluded $120. Which is far over 1.6%. I don't mind if they charge extra I would just like this ill educated professional to understand what and how he is charging something.In the long run I refused his service again but this time ended up paying the full $100 service charge.Upon looking at it now. I never got refunded the other service charge.Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.Pay the service charge smile and wave,Never recommend this location.

We had a surprise clog in our kitchen sink and I have zero plumbing know-how. We had a technician in our home within two hours of calling on a Sunday afternoon. Hasan was knowledgeable, efficient and taught me a few tips in keeping my pipes cleared out (looking to pickup some rootx). The service technician (Glen) arrived at the scheduled time, was pleasant & friendly. He answered all questions I had and explained the work he'd done as well as the next steps to expect in having sewer lateral repair done. Very happy with my experience with Roto Rooter.

James was efficient and thorough. I appreciated that he explained his process to discover what the problem was with my drains. He also added a suggestion how to prevent drainage issue in the future.

The plumber showed me the damage and . explained charges to me before starting work. He told me much it could possibly cost. He fixed the problem and then cleaned up.

Very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of my technician. He was polite, thorough, and gave me excellent recommendations for how to troubleshoot my problem. He was upfront and honest about what options he could offer and the extent to which they would fix my problem. He was efficient and cleaned up the area after snaking the drain.

I woke up on July 4th to the pipe connected to my water heater spraying water everywhere. I called Roto-Rooter and they were able to send someone out within a few hours. There had been a miscommunication and the first person they sent was a drain tech, when it was something that would need to be done by a plumber. He helped get the water turned off. They quickly sent a plumber. Michael Harris saw what the issue was and gave me a few options on how to fix it. I decided to replace the hot water heater, as it was 20+ years old. He was able to come back first thing the next morning to replace it and get everything up to code for a little less than the estimate. I'm really happy with the service he provided and that they were able to help on a holiday and weekend.

Eddie was very professional and on time. He explained everything to me before he did it and exactly what he was going to do. He was very prompt and answered all my questions.

Nick, tech #7337 arrived at the exact time he said he would. After discussing the problem i was having, he found it in no time. He explained & gave me two options on how to fix it. I chose which one I felt was best & he went to work immediately to repair my, lateral back up blockage. He explained step by step what needed to be done & then repaired it. Thank you Nick for explaining it to me so I could understand & for not taking advantage of me bc I am a woman. I appreciated your honesty & hard word on a the very hot day.

My technician (Richard) was on-time, courteous, and handled my problem with no problem. One thing I didn't like was the lack of upfront pricing on what I'm sure is a very common problem (stopped up bathroom sink). The quote that I was given after the inspection, was beyond ridiculous (more than $400), but after a quick back and forth we settled on $150, which represents more than a 60% discount. If you are quoting that high, it's not an error, you know what you are doing.The job was well done though, and I can't really blame the technician, they are only doing what they have been instructed to do.

Roto-Rooter responded very fast to my call for services. The main floor drain and washing machine drain were both blocked. The technician, Terry his #6127 arrived within an hour of my call for services. He was very thorough, knowledgeable and completely answered all of my questions, even took time an drew a diagram. Terry was honest and pleasant; unlike other companies and their technicians that I had dealt with previously. This was a huge job and he worked very hard to correct the problems. I could not be any more happy and pleased. I recommend roto-rooter and urge others to request Terry #6127 as your technician.

Nick Werner, the service technician, did an excellent job of walking me through the process of what he was going to do to diagnose the problem, how he was going to fix the issues and the cost associated with the procedure. He the did what he said he would and the problem was solved.I would have liked for the bill (invoice) to shown more detail like the cost for the visit and the cost for the labor and material as separate line items.

Workmen arrived on time, got to work quickly and even was very professional and professional. Overall, a great experience considering the aggravation of having a pipe clogged.

Our technician was super nice and went above and beyond. He did what we needed. Our issue is with the company itself. When I set up the appointment I did it online. I was contacted about my needs and appointment request and I confirmed the date and time frame. I asked about financing options and was told my technician would have the needed paperwork for that. Come day of appointment, 2.5 hours goes by and we had not heard from anyone. I contacted them and was told my appointment was canceled because they did not know want kind of technician. I was a little annoyed but things happen. They gave me a new window of time for the same day. We were contacted when our technician was due to arrive shortly and he did. When he arrived he told us that they did not go under our house type and we would need to move the toilet and if he did it then it would cost us another 200. Lucky for us, my fiancé is a carpenter and frequently has to deal with removing and reinstalling toilets so he said fine and did it himself. Our tech went to work and after a few tough spots, it got done. We had to run grab replacement materials for the toilet and when we got back he told us that he had called the office and mentioned the payment plan stuff and what I had said and they told him that the office was supposed to send it with him but did not. So more annoyance. It could have been a lot worse than it was but on a house that runs paycheck to paycheck with a very strict budget right now, and draining our weekly account was not really the best option and this was an issue that could not be resolved and was causing major issues and damage. It was just very frustrating to have multiple issues with the experience of a company that has a very good name and reputation. Will we use them again if we have an issue, yes. It was never a technician issue and just an opportunity for improvement with Roto Rooter.

We called Roto Rooter and had an appointment within minutes with follow-up. Repair technician was polite, on time and completed the job in a timely manner. Very thorough and I felt the task was completed in a professional and competent manner. Would recommend as the plumber to call.

Was afraid that there was a potential clog in the main line in the house so scheduled an appointment with RR (Rotor-Rootters) first thing next day in the morning. Mike was assigned and he was right on time. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He ran the camera doing the line from the back of the house all the way to the MSD line and explained everything as he did. He even went beyond and was able to remove the old brass cap which looked like was not opened since the home was built, he managed to do so without any damage. The video came back fine and no major issue was present. Mike made his recommendations and provided the footage on a flashdrive right there and then. I know that I will be asking for Mike next time I make another service call to RR. I am a satisfied customer that is for sure.

I had a kitchen sink drain clogged. Called around 11:30am, Ray arrived around 1 which was a quick response. Ray showed great patience dealing with my clog. After attempting to go at it from upstairs kitchen drain, he went through the main stack in the basement and was able to break the clog. He cleaned up the mess after completing the job as well. My only disappointment was the person that I spoke with on the phone did not give me any baseline price, so I was I bit shocked to hear $355 from Ray when I asked. I was able to use a $75 coupon online to help the buffer the blow during these difficult times.

I was impressed by how soon an appointment could be set up to unclog a kitchen drain. The service tech (Jamie) quickly identified the problem (main line blockage) and was able to unclog it within 30 min. Great service with Roto-Rooter!

What I feel was deserving of 5 stars was Brenden's professionalism, work ethic, and his quality of work. Brenden is the sole reason I graded my total experience 4 Stars. Sorry Brenden I could not grade on a 5 Star basis but do not consider this a reflection of your work. Roto-Rooter needs to find ways to reduce cost for the services provided. Even with a coupon I feel the cost for the service to fix my issue to be extreme. I actually feel like the price for the service was raised to make up for the difference of the coupon. I'm also sorry to report that scheduling was not good. I understand things happen, but when they do, as s good business practice, the customer should be offered a discount particularly if the schedule slips a whole day, AND the rescheduled date (the very next day) is even late. But Brenden thank you for everything as I am very satisfied with the service you provided.

Jeff Lenz of Roto Rooter has been incredibly helpful through a very difficult process in which my main sewer pipe had collapsed. I cannot speak highly enough for his dedication, integrity, and care for me as a client and a human being. As supervisor of my situation, he has been accessible at any time and immediately responsive. He has made special site visits to my house when unforeseen situations arose and he stood with me as I made my claims to the insurance company, ready on the stop to provide additional detail to them. I really felt like Jeff wanted to make sure I was well taken care of, and I have been. He treated me as if I were a family member and not just a customer. I’m concerned about the lack of pricing transparency. I was charged hundreds of dollars for 30 minutes of work during normal business hours. The ability to name any price under the sun is concerning and predatory.

We have used Roto-Rooter for several jobs in our home. They have been consistent in the quality, value, responsiveness and punctuality of their service. They provided a detailed written estimate of the costs and strived to stay within the perimeter of the estimate. In one instance they went above and beyond to perform the job in a way that maintained the quality and yet completed the job at a substantial reduced cost. The service technician, Matt, was thorough and took the time to answer our questions.

John E (#3201) cleaned out the lateral line in our home in Affton on 6/24/2014. He was professional, courteous, and did a thorough job. He was also quick to volunteer suggestions on keeping the line clear going forward.One is never happy to need to call a plumber, but we are quite happy with the service we received and the job done. I'd absolutely recommend him to others needing a similar service call.

I worked with Eddie & Richard during the cleaning out of our sewer lines, and both were very professional and polite while I continued to work in my home. Unfortunately we needed to replace a section of our line, but Eddie was very upfront and honest about the expected costs that came with the repair and answered any and all of my questions about the timeline, process, and fees involved.We worked with Joe and Zach for the replacement of the pipe and both men were also very professional and dedicated to making sure everything was done right and efficiently.Roto-Rooters took a lot of the stress of the unexpected sewer issues off of me, and made sure I was happy with the work and aware of ways to prevent future sewer issues in my home.

I called at 9:12am as I had a clogged piped from my bathroom, less then 35mins later Daniel arrived & asked me a few questions, explained each step, & unclogged the pipe! Very respectful & cleaned up mess! Price wasnt bad either! Will call them again & cant thank Daniel enough!

Called several places with delayed appointments up to two weeks away. Roto Rooter came same day, called before arrival, easily cleared drain, and left workspace clean. Would recommend!

Christan provided exceptional service in fixing my pipe issues. He was personable and professional. He was thorough in making sure the issue was fixed before he left and didn’t mind my dog wanting some attention.

My laundry drain pipe was clogged. I call Roto Rooter and they told me they could have a tech there within 2 hours. I was called within the hour and a tech was here in 20 minutes. Tech was clean, polite, and efficient. Cost was high ($274 minus $50 Angie's List discount= $224), but RR did a good job and it's great to have the job done so quickly.

5 stars for all aspects except price, which drags them down to the 3 stars ratingPlease read on. Our disposal in our kitchen sink started leaking seven hours before guests were to arrive, on the Friday that was the designated 4th of july holiday (July 3). Roto Rooter had their plumber at my house within the promised Two hours. Knowledgeable, personable and observed covid protections (mask, gloves, distancing). Showed me the problem and clearly and plainly explain the issue and why the disposal had to be replaced and I have no doubt that he was correct on that diagnosis. Did not have a new unit on his truck so left to get one and was back within the hour to complete the replacement and install. It was a truly customer friendly professional and efficient experience. Now the not so great news. They are very expensive. And I mean very. The flat labor charge was over $440 and they charged over one and a half times the price i could buy the new disposal unit at retail. Given my time situation I could not start over in the process so paid what i guess to be $300 to $350 more than I would have had to pay with another service. To be clear the phone person dispatcher and servicemen were all nice and professional. Servi eman was very upfront about cost and warned me before i committed to go forward. So, they are trustworthy and quality, just $$$$$$$$.

Called this past week when we had a toilet constantly running and overflowing in our office. The excellent service started from the minute my phone call was answered. The woman on the phone was so nice and helpful. She scheduled a plumber to come out within a couple hours; between the hours of 12 and 5pm. I received a call around 2pm that the plumber was about 30 minutes out. The plumber showed up and was there maybe 20 minutes and our problem was solved. The last minute service call cost the business under $300. Just an overall fantastic experience. We will definitely be using Roto Rooter for any future plumbing needs. The value of Roto Rooter was amazing for our small business!

I just had Don replace all of my toilet parts for my two toilets. He arrived on time informed me of what needed to be done and asked if he should do the job. I told him yes and he proceeded to finish both toilets in a timely manner. Answered my many questions and continued to install the new parts. He had the outside line cleared in less than 10 minutes. The bathroom sink took longer but he was in and out in less than an hour. We were very pleased with that.

Glenn arrived at my home today right on schedule. He took the time to listen to my concerns & gained knowledge of the problem. He thoroughly explained what he was going to do & went right to work. He was nice enough to allow me to ask a few question while he worked which served to educate me about general maintenance of the pipes. Glen was truly a pleasure to have as a specialist in my home & an excellent worker. He was able to resolve the problem very efficiently. I can not say enough good things about Glenn & Roto-Rooter. They are a very reliable company with excellent specialist sent to your home to take care of your plumbing needs.

I have not had a service representative who shared his knowledge and that made me comfortable with the work being done.

I work at a restaurant in Manchester and unfortunately our drain from the dish station got backed up and it began to flow out of other drains close by! We called roto rooter and explained the issue to them and they escalated the issue! Nick W came to our rescue!! Roto rooter called and said they'd be there in about 45 minutes and he was there in half the time. Was very professional and knowledgeable. He got to work quickly and cleaned up the mess in a snap as well as help to prevent it from happening in the future. Overall the owner and the staff was very happy with our experience tonight. Our daughter had a clogged mainline earlier this year. Her home warranty company had sent out the plumbing company they are contracted with. This company sent someone out three separate times and they were talking about going through a clean-out in the roof of the house. I decided to call rotor rooter and they had the problem solved in one hour. She has not had a problem since. Today one of the properties we own had a clog in the basement. We decided to call rotor rooter out again. They were out the same day and just like the previous time, the representative was knowledgeable, professional and polite. Again, the problem was taken care of timely. They also guarantee their work. If you have a the same problem reoccur within six months, they come out again at no charge. I will ALWAYS recommend Roto Rooter!!

Bob #549 came out on short notice to fix my shower spout. The copper was damaged and cut too short from a previous owner. He made no promises, but worked to fix it without ripping out the tile. He was able to repair it without major work and the leak was fixed perfectly! He was in and out in about an hour. Thanks so much for the help.

Raymond did a great job. Was quoted on a 2 hour wait, he was there in 30 minutes, on a Thursday at about 4:00-4:30. Problem couldn't be solved immediately because the part wasn't in his truck, but he was able to get the water turned back on so I could resume my day, and he finished it up first thing the next morning. He applied a coupon when it was time to pay, which was better than the one I found online anyway. Never a cheap thing when someone has to come to your home, but it was reasonable for the swiftness that the job was completed. Very quick and efficient overall.

They were a day late, but James was fantastic. He stayed until nearly 1am on Christmas Eve to make sure everything worked correctly.

Roto-Rooter sets the standard for what a public service company should be. To be sure they have the latest equipment, procedures, and training for their plumbers, technicians, and staff, but they also do the extras to make sure they communicate with their customers. This communication is really helpful, especially since plumbing problems are usually stressful. I had Roto-Rooter scheduled for help; the dispatcher called, explained that the technician had a family emergency but they were getting another technician out right away and gave me his name. The technician arrived, listened carefully to my explanation of the problem, then explained the best way to address the problem, answered my questions, and then worked professionally to solve the problem. This is a company that not only does high-quality, professional work, but communicates with its customer so they understand the need and the work.

Our technician was Nick (#7337). He was great! Very efficient and polite. He told us exactly was was wrong with our plumbing and what we needed to do to get it fixed. Shoutout to Bob J (#549) for his excellent service on 7/24/2018! I moved into my house two days before, and had spent two sleepless nights with a loud water hammer-type sound at night. I called Roto-Rooter around 10am, and a few hours later, I had Bob at my front door. He pointed out a few things that could be the cause of the noise, provided pricing of the options, and when asked, gave us his recommendation on which probable cause we should handle first. His recommendation was spot-on. He replaced a valve in the house (in the dark, poor guy), and for the first time that night, I was able to get a great night's rest in my new house. Bob was professional, timely, and cared about his customers' satisfaction. Thanks, Bob!9/30/2019: Had another great experience with Roto-Rooter today! It's never fun to have plumbing issues, but Reggie (#5212) and his trainee, James, made the experience painless. They were professional, had a great sense of humor that put me at ease, and got two repairs done in two hours. Scheduling my service was quick and easy, Chad was very nice (and gave me a heads up that I would see two technicians so that I wouldn't be alarmed). I can't speak for the rest of the company (because it took 3 service calls to get the problem addressed correctly), but the technician that came to my house today, Glenn Roeder #4588 was excellent. Glenn was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. He explained every step of the process that he was going through and was correct in his diagnosis every time. Would highly recommend Glenn.

James was fantastic. Worked for hours on a job to make sure it was done right. 10/10. Roto rooter communication wasn’t the best. Job was pushed back a few times with incorrect communication.

Jamie #5213 was professional, quick, and efficient! We have 3 kids and the kitchen sink quit working, so dishes quickly pile up! Roto Rooter sent someone out as soon as we requested. Great service.

We called a local Roto Rooter dispatch number at 5:30 pm on Sunday to unclog house lateral sewer. The service request was confirmed within 30 minutes, and technician arrived shortly after. The sewer backup was resolved by 7:30 pm. Jared, the technician. was very courteous and professional.

I was not satisfied with the service. I was not aware that the technician that was sent to address the issue was not a plumber. They could not address any of my plumbing issues, but I needed the issue to be addressed so I authorized them to do the work. This technician cleared the clog but caused a crack in the plumbing stack, which lead to leaking and we are still unable to use our sink. I was charged $395 for this service and was left with a another problem. Since this technician is not a plumber, a referral for a plumber with the company was requested. I am so frustrated right now and will not use this company again.

I had a clogged lateral that needs repair. REGGIE TAYLOR of Rotonda Rooter was the best and went out of his way to explain every step being performed. When I desperately need help,, he provided it for me.. He put a emergency repair in with St. Louis county. When he left I felt I made a new fried. World class service, world class technician. Even though I need more work by St. Louis County. Reggie provided the best possible customer experience for me. I just cannot say enough about him.

Our basement floor drain backed up and we had water & raw sewage all over the floor. Of course, it was Saturday and our regular plumber wasn't answering his phone. Roto-rooter sent Hasan out to our house within hours of my call. He was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, explained everything completely and was very throrough. Great job & would definitely use them again / recommend them to others.

The service was excellent and everything was done to my extreme satisfaction. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter for their plumbing and drain services. Glenn, #4588 was superb and did all he could to get the drain open and working. Rotorooter has been excellent in this process, however I cannot say the same thing about Crestwood and their handling of the problem with the lateral sewer line.

This is the second opportunity I’ve been given from Roto Rooter for a review.On the first opportunity I gave them 5 stars.They’re tech arrived quickly and restored flow to our sewer line.The video showed some tree roots beyond the foundation and that tech claimed our cast iron pipes under the basement floor were deteriorated to the point that need replacement.The auger tech then attached a root cutting bit to attempt to remove them.After that attempt he discovered that the root cutting bit had been lost in our pipe.Later he reported that he had retrieved it and began to clean up.I chose to believe him, paid the bill and gave a good review.The municipality that I live in offers a lateral sewer line replacement program that will pay if proven worthy. Worthiness is granted if pipes are crushed or misaligned beyond the foundation but they require their own videographer.In an attempt to defray some of the costs involved in the repair, that entity came today to inspect and auger if needed.He discovered all the tree roots still in our pipes and most disturbing, the root cutting bit that your tech claimed to have retrieved still in the pipe!He retrieved the bit (which I have), cleared the roots and has video footage (including the cutter bit in the pipe) of the entire length to the trunk line in the street.His assessment is that we are not a candidate for the replacement program and that our pipes are in fine shape.I thanked him profusely for his service, paid the bill and bid him farewell.I’m angry with your company and in particular, your tech Brandon for lying to me.I’m angry with your video tech for painting a false picture of the state of our cast iron pipes.Because of your unwholesome business practices and Brandon’s lie, I’d like you to pay the bill for the work that was performed today.If you choose to not pay, litigation will result.

Joey Porter #4075 and the entire roto rooter team we have worked with have been completely wonderful, helpful, kind and patient, explained everything in detail. They Have worked with our home insurance company. They have made the experience less frustrating. Will be our first call if we have another plumbing issue.

Leonard came to evaluate our situation quickly. he then set up for the needed work to be done. On the day of the work, he came by to make sure things were going well and that we had no further needs.And the team(Eric) that did our repairs were very polite, efficient, and did a good job keeping our home clean by containing the work area in tarps. Called Roto-Rooter on Saturday and had someone out to my residence first thing Monday morning. Robert Bob came out and explained what he would have to do and the cost of labor upfront. Once agreed upon he quickly and efficiently finished the job. After completing the job be showed me exactly what he did and what I needed to do for maintenance . I would highly recommend Bob and roto-rooter.

First I'll say that if you put in a service request and they call you to say they're coming, don't miss that call! They will immediately reassign your appointment time to a later time in the day. That said, the actual service provider that came out (Nick W) was awesome. He hung around for a few minutes while I rushed home to meet him (wife was on a work call). He was clear about what the problem was, and at that point he could have given up and said it was the Sewer District's problem but he went the extra mile to get it fixed. He even helped me out on the cost-saving measures. Don't let the dispatcher scare you off - the service providers (at least this one) are great!

I had an appointment scheduled with RR yesterday for one of their plumbers to come to my house. They gave me a window of time of 1 to 5pm. I was very specific in telling RR that there was a list of items (mostly small work: replacement of a few valves and loose faucets and a shower head) that needed to be done. They confirmed the job a couple of times prior of coming. I took my afternoon off from a very busy job and waited.I called them mid afternoon and asked them if they were still coming. They told me that they were trying to get someone for me soon. Toward 4:35, someone named Chad called and left a message. I called him back and he told me no one will come and this job needed to be rescheduled.and he also added this job was scheduled to be the following day, which was Wednesday!!! - which was absurd when I had 2 reminders for RR to come on Tuesday. I was upset that they kept me waiting an entire afternoon away from work, told me that they were still trying to send me someone mid-afternoon, added that I had the day wrong and casually tried to reschedule me the following day. People's time is worse nothing in their eyes! It's totally disrespectful and truly unprofessional!

Our sewer drain in our basement backed up over the weekend. We ended up having three different technicians from roto-rooter come to our home over three days. All three were nice and professional. My frustration is a result of what happened after the technicians left. My sewer line was collapsed and needed replaced. My county offers a replacement program that requires a video and application. I asked the technician to leave both with me and I would submit to the county. He insisted that he should take them, and that would be the fastest way to get everything submitted. He left me his card to call him if I had problems. I called the county later that day to see if it had been submitted. They showed nothing on their end, so I called the technician (keep in mind, we had absolutely no sewer line function in our home - no toilets, no showers, no laundry, no dishwashing). The technician told me it had been submitted and the county was probably just behind. I called the county again the second day, and they told me still nothing had been submitted. Again I called the technician and he promised me it had been sent. I asked for a confirmation email and he told me they don't send those out..... on the third day, when I called the county, and they said they still didn't have it, the county offered to call roto-rooter on my behalf. Roto-rooter told the county they had not sent it yet, but would send it ASAP.... ROTO-ROOTER HAD LIED TO ME. I had no sewer in my home, and they took their sweet time to send it in. All of this could have been avoided if they left the application with me, but don't make it worse by telling me it has been submitted.

Mike came out to my house early because I needed to get to work. He was here on time. He was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Someone was out the night before and couldn’t fix the problem and mike was out and done in 2 hours.

Every time I call Roto-Rooter they came right on over and did the job. Nick was a very honest person and he did a wonderful job, I really appreciate his help getting the job done and I would love for him to always come back to my home. he is more than welcome to finish anything that needs to be done with my Kitchen and the drain in the bathroom with the pipes. Tim was very thorough and did an exceptional job in clearing tree roots in my drain, and working on a drain that previous owners had put it prior to 1996 but never used by me until now. He also provided information to assist me with working with Chesterfield Public Works. I would definitely recommend both Tim and the company for their work.

The Roto-Rooter technician did a great job of inspecting and cleaning my sewer lateral to resolve a sewer backup issue. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter.

Terry, the Rotor rooter service technician arrived well within the thirty minute time from making the call that he would be there with in thirty minutes. After assessing the clogged kitchen drain, he immediately proceeded to run a service line through the drain. I was pleased with his quick assessment of the job , tackling the problem , persistently working until the drain was cleared and draining at what he determined to be the proper drain speed. He immediately proceeded to clean up the floor and under the sink area. This was a job well-done.

Absolutely terrible experience. The customer service reps and dispatcher did not return any of my calls, I had to initiate contact in every case. The technician was supposed to be at my house between 12-4, ended up not showing up at all. Apparently the technician got held up at another job, but chose not to call me to let me know so I did not find out until I called at almost 3pm wondering if he was going to come at all. The customer service rep said they would get back to me, but didn't. When I called an hour later (4pm), the transferred me to a dispatcher who said he would check with a few technicians to see if anyone could come out and would call me back. He also didn't. I called again at 4:30 since it was getting close to end of day, and was told a dispatcher would call me back. They didn't. I just got off of the phone (again I had to call), to be told that the soonest they could come out was Wednesday. I'm so happy that I took off work today so I could be here to wait all day to be stood up.

Hassan Tech 5506 was a real pro and took care of the job fast and easy. Great communication and definitely on top of the situation. Very happy customer.

Absolutely the worst service ever. Root Rooter came out to fix a slow clog over a month ago and their service in snaking the drain has caused a leak in the overflow on the tub. Scheduled an appointment a week ago and they were a no show with no call. After rescheduling an appointment and waiting 2 hours past my appointment window, they finally showed up and provided me a quote to fix a problem they they caused. Their technician admitted that the problem was caused by the previous roto rooter work but said that he is sorry “this is just how Roto Rooter works” and I was to pay to fix it. In trying to get this issue resolved with the plumber onsite, their internal team said I must wait until normal business hours to discuss our concerns. So after waiting five hours (and an additional three last week) already the issue they caused still has not been resolved.

Allen was a joy to work with. He’s very professional and tended to all of our questions. We appreciate him and highly recommend!

My floor drain had backed up while doing laundry and my only call was to roto-rooter. They have helped me in the past with tree roots blocking my line. Rick who was my tech tonight was here promptly and treated me with respect and walked me through everything he was doing. He was upfront with pricing and didn’t mind me asking questions or taking pictures of the tree roots. I am really happy with my service and will continue to use root-rooter without a doubt!

The technician was courteous and skilled in solving our problem. He arrived as scheduled and completed the work in a timely fashion.

Customer service representative was extremely rude, dismissive, said sewage waste in a basement was not an emergency. Techs were great. However my issue was not effectively solved and clogged twice more within a month. I paid $650 the first time and it clogged again, and then again. Go with another company.

The service man who came was very professional! He explained exactly what was wrong, showed me and explained what he needed to do to fix it. It was a more expensive than we anticipated. Other than that the service was impeccable.

My sewer backed up on Tuesday December 5th 2017. This happened at 7 PM. The technician named Ian (9061) arrived at 9 PM. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. He let me know what he was going to do. He had difficulty in accessing the line through the clean out. He then suggested he try entering the line through the half bath toilet. He succeeded in doing so and extracted many roots. I really appreciated his determination to solve my problem. I am very pleased with the 24 hour service Roto Rooter offers. Great job Ian!

I just bought a home and wanted a plumber available to detect leaks when turning the water on. The service call was $65. No leaks were detected. I was charged an extra $35 for having to check for leaks in the crawl space. The tech was friendly and professional. I do not see why an extra fee was charged to check for leaks in the crawl space. Seems like it should be included in the $65.

Roto Rooter really put in the work to solve my shower drain problem. They worked tirelessly to find a solution. I truly believe that other companies would have walked away from my draining problem. Roto-Rooter put forth a collaborative effort and fixed my drain in a timely maner. Lastly, they didn't destroy my home. They were very conscious of keeping my home clean. I highly recommend them! I called Roto Rooter and a serviceman arrived at my house within 1 hour. Brian did a great job! He was very respectful and had my clogged sewer taken care of quickly! He also gave me good advice on how to keep my sewer from overflowing again. I would definitely recommend using Roto Rooter

The two young tech that came out were very professional! They did a good job on uncloging my drain in the laundry room and outside basement drain. They answered my questions about my pipe draining problems to my understanding. Also, they gave me feedback on how to keep them clear with your product.

The techs were good and did a good job but I was told they would arrive between 12 and 4 pm and they didn't arrive until 8 pm. They couldn't get the sewer unclogged and had to come back the next day. We could not use our bathrooms so we had to stay in a hotel.

Our technician Jeff was at our house within about an hour of first placing our service call. We were surprised at how quickly he was here, especially since we called on a Sunday afternoon. Jeff thoroughly evaluated our problem and explained very clearly what our options were to get it fixed. He was here for about 2-3 hours fixing the problem. He even answered our questions along the way. Our problem is now fixed, and we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks Roto-Rooter!

Tech was great and quick with his job. The company itself was not great. Was told an agent would be at house in less than 2 hours. After 4 hours of waiting I finally called to find out no techs were in the area any longer and it would be next day to get service now. All while having sewage just coming back from drain. Hard to call yourself a 24/7 company if you wont come at 7pm

Our drain in the very cold weather decided to not play nice so we called Rotorooter. They sent Matt out. We worked a solid 2 hours and couldn't get it done. Next day Andy came with a camera and beast of a pipe cleaner. Needless to say the job got done professionally and we also have a video of needed for the future of the pipe. I had used two local plumbing companies to run and video my lateral line over the last 4ish years. Both were incredibly late to the appointment, like 8+ hours, and one did not show up the first time. Both videoed my line, but neither provided me a video they promised. Very unprofessional nearly all around.I started having backups again this spring and decided to go with Roto Rooter because I felt they would deliver what they promised. The technician, Steve, was very professional, polite, and thorough. He videoed the line in both directions and walked me through the whole process. The other two companies told me I had a collapse, Steve told me I only have a sludge buildup. This kind of attention to detail will save me thousands of dollars considering the others wanted to dig an eight foot hole in my backyard. And I actually got the video that was promised!I highly recommend Roto-Rooter. They do the job right and can be relied upon. I could not be more happy knowing I have a sludge buildup considering what I thought I had...

The young man who came to our home was polite, well spoken and professional. He did his job promptly and effectively and my sink drain was unclogged and ready for use. I appreciate that he laid a tarp under the pipes to prevent cabinet damage as he worked on the clog in my pipe. I do think your services are on the expensive side but you are the best so thank you!

The clearing of the drain was successful once they arrived. Unfortunately the service call was made Sunday evening and I was told the plumber would be there between 10am to 2pm. I received four additional calls updating me that they could be late. Finally around 4:30 they called and said they couldn't make it. We rescheduled for Tuesday and they arrived promptly. Disappointed because I spent most of Monday evening bailing about 200 gallons of water out of my basement.

Mike our tech was right on time and took the information about our problem and went right to work. He covered the area around the stand pipe with a tarp and was careful getting his equipment down to the basement. He had the clog open in just a few minutes. He tested the drain a couple times and it drained very well. Mike cleaned up and around the area before taking his equipment back to his truck. Mike has worked on other drains in our home and is the only company and tech we will have to do our drain work. We have had other drain companies before Roto-Rooter, but none did the job as well and did not always clean up very well after the job.

The roto-rooter team was very responsive and professional. They went above and beyond to make sure I understood what was going on and the next steps.

I called Roto rooter this morning at 9:15A.m. May 12, 2022.I explained to them that I was at work and asked if I could get a plumber out my home around 4:00p.m. this evening. Before I ended the conversation I asked The representative what was the price for a plumber to unblock a backup in my basement line. The representative said is up to the the plumber when do you come out. I received a call from the plumber are someone someone at the Roto Rooter office if they can move the time up an hour or 2. I left work an hour and a 1/2 early to be home by 2:30 PM I end up having to call Roto Rooter to find out we're the plumber was Since I left work early. I was told he was 5 minutes away but instead he shown up 45 to 50 minutes later. I let the plumber into my home I asked what would it cost to clear the drain in my laundry room His reply was $395.00 if he had to remove the toilet it was $550.00. The plumber was not happy that he had to come out since this was his 1st stop and it was gonna be a long day-and-night, (that was in my problem). To make this short I would not recommend rotor rooter because they are biased to certain people in certain areas despite how nice of a house we have it's all about the location that we're in I will never use them again or call on them again. I believe that the reviews a positivity are all lies unless they're dealing with certain people if you know what I mean. I almost forgot we had no standing water on the floor drain it was just the toilet, it was draining slowly at times or would not drain at all $395 are you kidding me.

Very professional. Drainage pipe had frozen during the cold weather. They were able to identify the issue quickly and resolved the issue. They were clean and left no mess when done

A drain in our basement back-up and we received excellent service from Josh (2154). He was extremely helpful and we appreciated him taking the time to thoroughly explain the issue/solution to us. We would definitely use Roto-Rooter again.

Jason was incredible. He unclogged the toilet in about 30 seconds but then made sure it was clear for about 30 minutes, routing it, flushing it several time. He was very polite and put footies over his boots every time he came in the house (several in and out trips). The service was pricey, but it was a Saturday morning and we are having people for brunch, so I begged the operator to prioritize us. And again, Jason is the BEST!!!!!

We had a really bad clog over the weekend (tip: never pour Metamucil down a sink). We called Saturday evening and they sent someone and had it fixed before noon on Sunday. The tech, Bob Sisco (Tech #8590) was great. Despite the clog taking several hours to clear (which I am sure was much more than he expected) he remained determined, friendly, and professional.

We had a sump pump issue on Sunday and my husband called Roto-Rooter. The customer service person was very helpful and said a technician would be dispatched. Matt came and was incredibly skilled and thorough in assessing the problem, explaining it and then doing the repair. He even stayed a little longer to make sure the sump pump was fully operational. I recommend Roto-Rooter for plumbing problems and will be using them in the future.

Roto Rooter technician TJ was amazing.. He was early for the appointment. Determined the issue very quickly. He fixed the problem with 30 min max. Provided excellent advice and was very friendly and professional

We've used Roto-Rooter in the past and have been very pleased with the results. Our shower handle broke and we called them to replace. Plumber came out the same day at 2pm but said he wasn't sure if he could finish the job before he was off and since he had to turn off the water, he would come back first thing in the morning the next day. By 9:30am the next day, no one was here so my husband called. Turns out the tech was off and had scheduled our repair for the following day. This is our only shower! The guy on the phone was going to call a manager but after one hour of not hearing anything, we called back and all the managers were in some big meeting so he hadn't gotten through. Told us there was no way they would have someone out there. They did refund our money which is why I gave two stars rather than one. Very disappointed since we normally have such good service.

Dan and his colleague were great! They did a thorough assessment and treatment of the issues! They were punctual for appointment arrival and had the job done in about 2 hours. Cost was extremely reasonable for kitchen sink clog and pipe root clean out! Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I’ve used roto-rooter about 3 or 4 times now and everyone has been so kind and professional. They have shown up on time or very close to it even for last minute emergencies and have been very knowledgeable and informative during their visits. As a first time homeowner I really appreciate their attentiveness and insight because it makes me feel confident that the problem is being taken care of and that I understand what is happening inside my home, and problems to look out for.

It was SuperBowl Sunday and I had a house full of guest over watching the game. Well at some point my drain line had clogged up and my basement started flooding, my daughter came running up stairs with the news. I called Roto Rooter they were very reassuring that they could and would be able to take care of my situation in a timely manner. They had a technician in the area and he would be to my location as soon as possible. When the technician made it to my house, he was very professional and very nice. Very knowledgeable about the problem I was experiencing!!! He grabbed his equipment and in 20 minutes or so had my problem solved!!! Great service!! Professional service!! Great management!! Nick (#6074) was great. Very profession, kind and knowledgeable. He assessed the problems and presented the solution and pricing. I would give 5 stars but this was a very expensive service that cost double what I normally pay with my regular service provider. I would recommend Nick but will likely use a less expensive provider in the future. THANKS NICK!!!!

We had Brandon come out late July early August to clear a partial sewage blockage. Cleared it and was super respectful and really easy to work with. Unfortunately we had another blockage in November. Fortunately it was covered by the warranty. Brandon cane out again, on Thanksgiving. Was once again super respectful, easy to work with, and most importantly really efficient. Tree roots turned out to be the problem. I would 100% reccomend y'all just from our experience with Brandon. Especially since none of their competitors apparently work on mobile homes.

Both technicians were friendly, professional, and explained what they were doing/what needed done beforehand. We had a bathtub faucet leak, and despite the difficulties of dealing with our stubborn house and apparently ancient valves they handled everything appropriately and I have no actual complaints other than that they arrived earlier than the scheduled time so I wasn't entirely prepared lol

Technician(Zack) was ontime , he ask what the problem was. He then explained the process he was going to use to fix the problem and the charges. Then he went right to work . While he was working someone from roto-rooter came to see if we needed help with a large cleanup . We didn't need any help , but that was a very nice idea to send someone by. Zack finished opening the clogged sewer , cleaned up his work area . Then Zack made out my bill and explained it.All around good experience.Thanks Zack!!!!!

I used the on line app. They were very prompt in answering my text and calling about my selected 1-3 p.m. appointment. The young man was early, which helped our stopped up kitchen drain situation. Nick W. was very polite and very good about explaining what he needed to do to check the situation. He was very good about explaining what else he needed to do and why. He was also very friendly. Once he was able to figure out what exactly needed to be done, he explained the procedure and the cost. For whatever reason, we had a piece of plastic in our main drain. We still don't know how that happened. We also had a lot of sludge. I would highly recommend Nick W no matter what company he works for. Again, he was very polite and good about explaining what he was doing and the cost. He was very professional and friendly. IF we have another plumbing problem, (which I'm hoping we don't!) I would call Nick without hesitation. His name, again, is Nick W. I'm guessing you can ask for him by name if you call Roto Rooter.

Replaced my gas oven with electric, which meant the vertical gas pipe had to be removed and the remaining pipe capped/plugged. $375 total (ow). Service was excellent, he was kind, professional, on time, quick, and did a great job. He also helped me get my oven back in place after he was done (BIG help for me). Never regret using Roto Rooter.Thank you!

Service Tech was dispatched and arrived within 45 minutes of my phone call about two basement floor drains being clogged. We had standing water about three fourths of an inch deep over a ten-15 square foot area and about 8 square foot area at the other drain. Carl the Service Technician was very prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. He was able to clear the clogged main line which he described as a 'soft clog' about 25-30 feet within the main line. He went ahead and proceeded to snake out about 100 feet of pipe to make sure the line was clear of any other obstructions. The Water and Restoration project team, (Antoine, Andrew, Dan and Gary) were all very professional as well. They placed the necessary decontamination and air scrubber and drying equipment within the same day. An additional two days were required to allow for proper drying of the concrete with moisture readings taken every day. Great Job gentlemen. Thank You for providing this service.

The service technician was both informative and friendly. I was notified when he would arrive. I've used their services before and was pleased when the customer service agent told me they were happy that I was a returning customer. It was a big job I that my basement plumbing needed fiber optic augering and replacement of septic pipes that were broken. The Master plumber came to my house to over see their work and explained exactly what was being done and explained the fiber optic pictures. This time he augered my toilet and drain pipe in the basement. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter for all your plumbing needs. I'm glad I did!

Our main drain line backed up into the toilet and bathtub of our only bathroom. Not fun, and with no other toilets available, we needed help ASAP! Dispatch kept us well-informed on the timing of our tech's arrival. Matt was courteous (paid attention to protecting the hardwood floors), and got us fixed up very quickly. I had a leaking toilet and called Roto Rooter. The technician showed up in a timely manner but was unprofessional. He said the parts on the toilet needed to be replaced and I agreed, however, the price was approximately $300 more than I've spent in the past on an entirely new toilet. I explained this to him and he seemed unconcerned, stating that the price was non-negotiable and that he had nothing to do with it, that Roto Rooter had fixed prices for all parts. I let him install the new parts but I feel as though I was swindled.EDIT:I emailed the person that replied to this post twice and never got a response.

Roto Rooter has been the most outstanding plumbing service I have ever received. Our plumber, Brandon Torrez, was kind, friendly, efficient, helpful, and even great with my kids. He made sure to explain everything to me and his service was cost effective, fast, courteous and definitely solved a major plumbing issue! The sewer backed up in the basement and there wasn't an easy way to fix it from outside. I expected to have a huge mess to clean up. Brandon tarped the area and wore shoe covers. I definitely will call them again in the future. They are literally the best plumbing experience I have ever had! We would highly recommend them to friends, family, and anyone else in need!

Travis came out to our house today (4/15/2023) well honestly tonight because it was about 9:00 p.m. when he got here but was well worth the wait. I called this morning before 11:00 and originally it was supposed to be 12:00 to 4:00. But unfortunately storms and lots of people needing help caused it to be quite a bit delayed. However when I would call for updates both dispatch and the customer service reps were above and beyond with understanding and compassion. Travis was respectful of my home very professional and very in-depth with his information for us and to ensure that we understood the process. Super pleased with the job Glenn # 4588 & his trainee (sorry don’t remember name) did at my home today. They were clearly knowledgeable & not salesy. What was initially expected to be an hour long job turned into three hours of tough root excavation work. They maintained professionalism, positivity, & courteousness the entire time even though I know this set back their day. They went above & beyond to make sure the line was truly cleared both front of house & inside. Much appreciated & I’d highly recommend! The Plumber TJ showed up, was very nice explaind the situation (my leaky sink had old worn out connections).He fixed those and found the part that attached my sink to the garbage disposal was also leaky (over 25 years old).Luckily I had a replacement one so he was able to put that on as well and fixed everything.

We had a sewer backup in our basement and called Roto-Rooter. A technician was dispatched and arrived at our house within an hour of the original call. Our technician, Hasan, was extremely professional and kind while on-site. He explained our options upfront and began working. Upon encountering issues a camera tech was called and arrived to assist in finding the issues. The original issue was taken care of and a proposal for future work to remedy the other issues was given. I will use Roto-Rooter again in the future and would recommend Hasan.

Kenneth was the best. He stayed until he was satisfied that the drain was clear. He was extremely fair and worked hard to diagnose our multiple problems. Most folks would haved done one snake out and left but he was concerned that it wasn't absolutely clear and didn't leave until he was satisfied. Great service and will call him again.

Our sewer backed up one evening and water and sludge was filling up our basement bathroom. Roto Rooter was the only place nearby that was open and could fix it that night. Turns out, roots were growing on the inside of our main pipe and they were able to clear them out in a few hours. Incredibly nice and professional staff.

We're getting our house ready to sell, and in the process of cleaning our basement carpets, we noticed there was a bit of moisture along the wall and in the middle of the floor. Awesome! I googled French drain maintenance since I have one installed, and Roto Rooter was the first result. I had used them awhile back and didn't have any complaints, so off we went!This past Tuesday, the Roto Rooter fella came out, and we discussed looking at the sump pump / French drain as well as a sewer drain behind the basement door (which we believed could be responsible for the moisture in the middle of the floor, if there was an old drain underneath it). He admitted he wasn't overly experienced with French drains, but nonetheless he could video scope it out and the sewer drain like anyone else (at a pretty hefty cost, but hey, it's plumbing, that's my expectation). He found the French drain had collapsed, but past the spot the water was coming in, so that wasn't a good explanation for the water. He admitted that hydroflushing (which would be an extra cost) wouldn't be advisable, since if it got cleared out it'd likely just collapse again. I figured he'd then go snake the sewer drain behind the basement door to see if that was an issue too, but he had left - by the time I went to catch him, he had pulled away.Simple mistake I thought. I called Roto-Rooter and asked if he could come back - they were apologetic and made sure he'd come back within a few days. No problem, we're fixing the house up anyway, and my wife took off so she could watch the kiddo in the meantime while I met with the Roto-Rooter dude.When he came back, he made clear the omission of the sewer drain wasn't a mistake - he said it'd be nearly an extra $400 to do the other drain. He could get it lowered with a coupon, but the original price only included the one drain scope, not both. I had indicated that wasn't what we discussed when we had originally signed off the first time, but he said he couldn't do anything about it. I indicated I wouldn't be paying twice, so he left. Friendly guy, but I'm assuming he was unfortunately constrained by the business model.The only reason for the second star is because the video of the French drain collapses gives me something to go off of - plus his honesty regarding the inadvisable-hydroflushing-cost. Unfortunately the experience has left a bad taste. Your mileage will vary, but this'll be my last time using this company.

My elderly mother had a sewage backup in her basement on a late Saturday afternoon. Roto-Rooter sent a technician to give a FREE estimate which was quite reasonable, especially considering the hour and weekend ( as well as honoring a $40 coupon on their website). The problem was tree roots - the technician went right to work for 2+ hours, explained clearly what he was doing, and was so very courteous. We couldn’t be more pleased and hghly recommend Roto-Rooter.

While it's unfortunate I had a coupon and forget to show it (and did email right after to request application with no response), everyone from the person who answered the phone and scheduled the service to the people who did the cleaning - all very responsive, on time, and did a great job.

It was a great experience. The tech Rob was awesome. He was there for two hours getting the root wad out of the line and making sure it was clear. Answered my questions on why certain things were done to the pipe line when the home was constructed years ago. I went along with his suggestion to get a camera run down the line to check it out since Rob encountered a difficult spot to get the cutter past. It will tell whether or nor there is a bigger issue going on or a upcoming one.

My sewer drain was clogged and flooded over. I called Roto-Rooter and they were there an hour later. Service was quick and effecient. My problem was thoroughly explained to me, giving me all the necessary information on service options and price. The technician was polite and friendly. The problem was fixed in an hour. I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone having any plumbing issues and if I am ever having any issues I will definitely use them again.

We have used Roto -Rooter a couple of times and always have been pleased with their service. Today Keith came out to do a routine cleaning from the house to the street. He was very professional and friendly and did a great job getting the tree roots out. Several of the neighbors have had backups lately and it had been 6 years since our last clean out. I will use Roto- Rooter again and will try to clean out the drains every two years!

Brian made it very quick to our house and was on time, we didn't have to wait around for him. He went straight to work after putting on protection over his shoes (before walking through our home) and found the root of the problem in no time. Nick did an awesome job cleaning out our storm drain. It had plugged and overflowed into our flower garden and driveway. The water moved mud onto our driveway and patio. He was great! Good personality and did a quality job. It rained hard the other night and no problem detected. Nick flushed out the storm drain that was over 100 feet long. Great job!!!

I called and technician Glenn was there within the hour. They quickly determined and fixed the problem. They also made sure there was nothing to cause any additional problems in the near future. I've called Roto Rooter in the past and will call them if I need help.

The only reason I gave 4 stars was because both times we have used them we have made an appointment between 4-6 pm online. They have shown up after 8 each time. However, the dispatchers call every 30 mins or so to let you know that they are running late and that they’ll call you within 30 mins if your tech arriving. So that is appreciated.

Tim was the plumber that was sent to do the job. I was very impressed with him and would highly recommend him to anyone needing help with sewer issues. He was professional, knowledgeable, and personable.

Carl was very courteous but yet efficient. He has provided excellent service for us twice now. He has left our home after repairs very clean, answers all my questions, and has exceeded my expectations.

We had 2 other companies come out and snake out the main sewer line both did not work. We then called Roto-Rooter to come and Hydor Flush the sewer line and that worked great. The technician flushed the line and used a camera to show the wear things need to be cleaned. Now everything works great. I should have called Roto-Rooter first but I thought they would be too expensive. They were high but in the long run it paid because they solved the problem.

We still had a leak after work had been done. We called on Saturday and Bob Johnson was sent out within a few hours. He not only took care of the problem but gave us great advice on our garbage disposal & running toilet. I'd use RR again. They get the job done.

What a mess. All we needed was some preventative maintenance. Somehow the Roto-Rooter plumber sent gallons of wastewater spewing from under our kitchen sink. My wife and I scrambled to get towels to throw on our floor to stop the flood of nasty, foul water from rushing all the way across the kitchen. The technician was using my Yeti cup to bail water from under the sink into a 5 gallon bucket. Water even dripped into the basement.He wiped up and used some anibacterial spray, then we spent the next hour cleaning up the rest of his mess.We called Roto-Rooter because our last service by them was great and their plumber was very professional and respectful of our house and belongings. But this visit was very disappointing.

Our basement drain has backed up several times since we moved into our house, but always seems to resolve itself. We finally decided to call Roto-Rooter to see what the actual issue is. Their dispatchers were very friendly, and called to update us when the wait time was running longer than usual. Andy (2624) serviced us and he was great! Very polite and professional, and gave us the number to call the Kirkwood sewer lateral program. The cost for the service seems pricey for the work involved, but I did not call around and get quotes from anyone else so I don't know if it's in line or if they can charge more because they're Roto-Rooter.

New gas hot water heater installed in March 2023. Paid in full. After installation, pilot light repeatedly extinguished. So far have had four service calls. The first, we were told it probably was a fluke/anomaly. The second, we asked for a replacement as our previous heater never had a bad pilot light in 10 years- Roto-Rooter refused and we were told the gas pressure into the house was likely to blame and we should call the gas company. Gas company came and told us that not only should Roto-Rooter have checked the gas pressure themselves, but that the pressure was fine and it looks like we were sold a faulty product. The third time, we again asked for a replacement, and Roto-Rooter refused, and instead replaced a thermocoupler. We are now waiting for them to show for the fourth time. Complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau. Do not use this company - they are selling bad equipment and will refuse to replace it and you will be left repeatedly finding out you have only cold water and wasting lots of time and money taking off work to wait for a company that will leave you holding the bag

Robert Johnson from RotoRooter came by to fix my plumbing after a pipe burst from these record cold temperatures. He was incredibly pleasant to work with and did an excellent job. I will definitely be using him again in the future.

RotoRooter had someone to my house within 90 minutes for my sewer backup. Christian was great explaining the process and then keeping me updated as he went along and the process took longer than expected. He helped clean up, suggested an alarm to be alerted to issues earlier and was friendly throughout.

We started having a loud noise coming from our water pipes every time we turned on the water faucet. We were previously told it was air in the pipes. The noise continued to get worse over the course of a few days. We called Roto-Rooter and they made an appointment to come out the next day to do an inspection. The technician named Mike informed us that the problem was a build up of calcium in the pipe due to our area having hard water. He indicated that the pressure in the pipe was at 120 psi and that was too high. Normal was around 80 psi. That could cause hoses to blow off faucets and could cause extensive water damage both downstairs upstairs if not corrected. He recommended removing some of the pipe that had the calcium build up and replacing the pipe. He was able to come out the next morning and complete the necessary repairs to the piping. He set the psi at 70 and indicated that they would be back in a couple of weeks to make sure everything was operating properly. Mike was very nice, knowledgeable and professional. We would use them again and definitely would recommend them for any plumbing needs.

I had a main drain blockage that caused my sewer to back up into my basement. Roto-Rooter was there within an hour to clear out the drain, get the water flowing again and sent another guy out to assess the damages and professionally clean the area. Both guys were very nice and helpful in the crappy situation. Highly recommend!

Had a water backup at the drain hole in the basement. Called MSD first to make sure it wasn't the sewer line, we've had that problem before when it rains hard. The MSD lines to our property line were clear so we called Roto Rooter and they came within two hours. Glenn Roeder #4588 came, he was so nice and very thorough. He used his camera to go in at our back flow valve location in the basement. Cleared the line all the way out to the street. Showed us where the backup was on the camera. Also, used a coupon from on-line. I would definitely use Roto Rooter again. Love their fast service that gets the job done! Cost was $279.

We called roto rooter for a floor drain that was backing up in our basement. They were quick to send someone out but the first guy they sent didn’t want to help. He told us they would need special equipment and he’d send someone in the morning . The guy they sent the second day was much more helpful! He immediately cabled the line from the outside to our house and to the city line and fixed the issue in less than an hour.

Our experience with Roto-Rooter started with a friendly and courteous plumber who was very inexperienced. We were very fortunate that our sewage clog was beyond the reach of his equipment because he wanted to charge us $600!!!!!After our first plumber left, a supervisor showed up to give a courtesy reading of sewage damage. So, basically this was a sales pitch.At the end of my service window for the second time of the day, I received a call that a plumber would be out in 40 minutes. At the end of that 40 minute wait, I received another call that a different plumber that more qualified and experienced would be there in 40 minutes.If I was rating this on our experience with Mike, we would be giving 5 stars! Not only was Mike friendly and courteous, he was qualified and experienced. He found and cleared our sewage clog quickly and charged us considerably less than the original quote.

TJ, service technician #7336 came out to my mom's house, today, a Sunday afternoon, and unclogged a drain for my mom. I had tried everything I could to unclog it before calling in a professional. They gave us a 4 hour window of arrival, and he was there in approximately 30 - 40 minutes. He was professional, courteous and quick to fix the problem. The price was reasonable, especially for a Sunday. Thank you for coming out so soon and getting the job done with very little mess!

Super nice tech.... but was quoted $420 to change the safety valve on my water heater. Went to Lowe's, spent $15 and put the new one on myself. Feel sorry for the elderly or those not able to do their own work. Tech still charged me $69 for coming out (which was fine - I expected this).

Roto Rooter was the only company I could get to come quickly for an outside pipe and spigot repair. The plumber was on time, professional, followed CDC guidelines, and helped me identify shut off valves for the future. The pricing was below what I expected. I will call them first from now on.

We were victims of the flood that occured on the evening of 7/25. I called Roto Rooter at about 3:30 in the morning and was told that a technician would arrive between 8 and 12. Time flew and things were crazy, but it seemed like he arrived right at about 9. The water had literally just receded in the basement when he pulled up. While he couldn't help us physically, he informed us that Roto Rooter performed restorations. We didn't know this and were relieved to know we'd have help. Fast forward, Project Manager Mark Maguire showed up and did some inspections. He gave us a verbal quote and even helped us understand our homeowners policy. He was available any and every time I called him and prompt to get back to me when need be. We requested a dumpster at around 8 am the next day and it arrived within 2 hours. Insurance offered us little to no help on financial assistance so we were unable to utilize the whole of Roto Rooter's assistance, but what I did experience was astounding. Our neighbors waited a week to even have a representative of their water restoration company come out. I have referred and bragged about Roto Rooter to everyone who has asked and will be happy to use them again in the future. Thank you again for giving us some peace of mind!

I can’t speak highly enough about Eddie and Mike, who were incredibly helpful when my sewer backed up into my basement. Eddie had the drain working again even though it meant he was out in the middle of the thunderstorm, and Mike got a plan in place to have my basement cleaned up by the next morning. I’m thankful for their prompt and excellent service and will come back to Roto-Rooter when I need anything in the future.

Our old water heater had stopped working and when it was originally put in was not up-to-code. We bought a new water heater and called Roto-Rooter to come out and install it . Bob came out on a Saturday and was there for about 3 hours (not everything always works out right when you have an old house ). He had to re-do some plumbing to get us up-to- code. He was very professional, friendly and easy to work with. Thank You Very Much. Even though the weather has been very warm, it's nice to have a hot shower.

This is for the service provided on January 4, 2022. The young gentleman (Jason) that did the work was very professional and efficient. He did a great job in cleaning up when he was done. We will call these folks any time we have water problems in the future.

I called roto rooter first to get an idea of how much their hourly is, they said they didn't have one. They do. Once they got started I was told it would be between 350 and 450 american dollars an hour. They did good work, but just be aware you'll pay handsomely!

6/5/17 I had a disposal problem in the same line that had been replaced. Cody Kemper #7338 came quickly and worked efficiently to clear the clog. He also helped move the washer and dryer allowing me to clean up the mess.4/11/17 I had another issue with a clogged sewer line. Roto Rooter came quickly and was able to clear the clogged. We do have some damage from severe water back up and Roto Rooter restoration team will begin working on cleaning up this problem. Service has been responsive and thorough.Glenn Roeder came a second time to access the situation of the blockage connected to my washing machine. There are many unknowns to how this should be repaired. I felt that every effort was made to correct the blockage. The next steps were reviewed and carefully explained. The explanation was through and I felt like I understood the problem. I am proceeding with work as outlined.Three weeks later Roto Rooter sent out a restoration team, that removed and treated all the areas affected by water damage. Another job well done.11/28/19Brian W (#5555) came to my house on Thanksgiving evening. The service was exceptional, identifying the problem, cabling the clogged pipes and helping me clean up. It wasn’t how I intended to Thanksgiving evening, BUT I am grateful for Brian’s expertise.

My service man Raymond was excellent. Very professional and knowledgeable. The price was reasonable, plus he gave good advice. Furthermore, i spoke with him about future bathroom remodel plans and he offered some great suggestions.

We discovered a clogged drain that was causing water to back up into our basement late on a Saturday. After striking out with several local plumbers Sunday morning we called Roto Rooter. They were polite, professional, and sent someone out and had it fixed within 2 hours. Brendan was a wonderful technician. Very professional and explained a few things to me about my system I wasn’t aware of. I could not have been more impressed. Highly recommend.

Before using this company, be sure to shop around and make sure you are getting the best rates possible! I recently made an after hours service call to Roto Rooter after finding significant water damage in the basement. My bad experience began during the billing process, when several issues came up. First, the company initially billed my insurance for services that were not performed. My adjuster pointed this out, and a revised bill was sent out. After the revised bill was sent out, it was still exorbitantly high. Many of their charges were 30-40% above standard rates. According to my adjuster, most insurance companies and water mitigation companies use the same estimating software that has the pricing standard and is updated monthly, so it is usually fairly easy to work out discrepancies on charges since the actual price for each item is the same no matter what. In addition to high rates on each item, some of the mitigation Roto Rooter had done was actually unwarranted.Roto Rooter then started aggressively demanding payment- yet I had called in several times to keep them appraised and let them know that I was working with my adjuster (who had traveled) and needed to close the loop with him. Multiple correspondence was sent to my home, threatening to put a lien on my home, yet I was being pro-active and really trying to work the situation out. In the end, Roto Rooter and my insurance were unable to converge on amounts as the difference was too large. I ended up being responsible for the remaining difference in addition to my deductible. I would not wish the same experience on anyone!

As far as drain cleaning goes, they did a good job. Showed up, cleaned both my bathroom sink drain and kitchen sink drain, they now drain without issue, and offered solutions to help prevent these issues in the future.However, my issue is with the punctuality of the technicians. The first appointment was scheduled between 12:00PM-2:00PM. They did not call/text/email to let us know they would be late, but finally called around 3:30 and said they'd be there in a half hour. I said that would not work and we would have to reschedule. It was treated like that was no inconvenience to me, offered nothing (like honestly $25 off the service would have made up for it) Rescheduled for next Friday, same window. The wording of the phone representative was show up sometime after 12:00, be gone before 2:00. The tech showed up almost at 1:30, stayed until almost 3:00. Again, it wouldn't really be much of an issue, if that was just communicated in advance from the call center.TL;DR: Good work from the technician, just don't plan on their timeclock. Idk if that issue comes from corporate or the technician.

I was very pleased with the work recently completed by Roto Rooter. We have been dealing with this issue for many years, and I appreciated the suggestions and honesty by Jim. He was also very concerned about keeping the area clean and I really appreciate that. The cost was higher than we've paid other companies (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5), but I appreciate the great customer service.

Aaron showed up exactly on time in the middle of the night and did an awesome job for the exact price I was quoted. This was a difficult job on a 100+ Old building that he handled like a true expert. If Aaron is assigned to your issue you have nothing to worry about he will get it fixed.

Dishonest practices. Hired a rotorooter to fix two simple things at my house that never got fixed. After being charged almost $500 for two items that never got fixed, I reached out to rotorooter to find out what happened. I specifically asked for management to call me back, instead the technician that did the work did. He claimed I needed a service that I did not need and that is why I was charged for an hour of work. After talking to this technician and having him flat out lie about what work needed to be done, I knew I was not going to get the help I needed. Huge waste of time and money! Don’t use rotorooter!

Jason was the consummate professional. We had a leak under the kitchen sink and I called Roto-rooter for help. And they dispatched Jason to help with our emergency situation. From the first moment he presented himself well and eased our fears. You knew you were dealing with an ultimate pro who knew his job very well. He spent close to 4 hours to clear the clog in the sink line and replace a filter. His work was methodical and clean. He checked for any leaks first and asked me to see if I was satisfied.Never have never seen anyone work with so much composure and give respect to the customer. I would definitely hire him even if it costs additional money. His work is spotless and impeccable!

My experience was completely positive. Robert Johnson arrived promptly and was able to determine my issue and explain it clearly. He was willing to answer my questions, as I wanted to understand what happened and how to avoid it in the future. He was happy to help and wasn't annoyed, as I suspect many others would be. He performed the work efficiently but didn't rush through. He was friendly and good with my dogs. I'm very happy with my experience and would recommend both Roto-Rooter AND Robert Johnson specifically for plumbing needs.

I called Roto-Rooter to come out and repair a leak under my kitchen faucet. They scheduled me for the next day between 1:30-5:30 pm. They called a half hour before arriving and Mike, the plumber came out and assessed the problem, gave me options and fixed the leak (which was at the base of the sink drain) by installing a new drain.Mike was professional and courteous and everything was resolved in a very timely manner. Plus, I had a coupon for $40 off the service which he honored, bringing the already good price down even lower. All is well in my kitchen! I certainly will recommend Roto-Rooter

We had Brian Watson as our drain specialist today. He was very professional, kind and helpful for us understanding all the issues. He also was super great about dealing with our little dogs barking non stop. He got the job done & chit chatted with us, it was great! I can’t express how thankful & grateful we are. Brian was seriously awesome, I can’t express that more.

We had a bath tub that was slow to drain.We called Roro-Rooter and within a short time we had a call saying they would be out within a half hour to one hour and gave us the name of the tech that would be doing the work.Jamie #5213 arrived within a short time and went right to work accessing the issue and resolved the problem in a short amount of time.We were very happy with his work and will definitely call Roto-Rooter and ask for Jamie #5213 when and if the need arises.

I’d give a higher rating but we had a scheduled window between 4-6 pm, we didn’t have someone show up until after 10:00 pm. Then I was charged extra to have a PVC pipe cap replaced that the tech himself broke with a pair of MY pliers because he didn’t have his tools from the truck. This was before any other work was performed. He just wanted to “ check out this pipe real quick “ … The work was done, and problem solved, I feel it’s probably way over priced, and ridiculous I was charged for a cap he broke. Three days without a kitchen sink and getting late in the night we said just do it. Probably will call another company next time. The tech was good, got the job done and a nice guy. He doesn’t set the prices or rules. But Roto Rooter is super proud of what they do.

Woke up to a clogged sewer line in our house and called Roto-Rooter for HELP ! The dispatcher advised they would be at our home within 4 hrs and Matt #3964 showed up in less than half that time. He accessed the problem, explained it and the potential costs to me and went to work to fix the problem which was in the cleanout pipe outside the house. After removing the blockage he consulted with a master plumber with their company to advise on the best method of permanent repair.Turned out the the cost was less than the estimate ! yea ! I was impressed with Matt - he was professional, knowledgeable, and didn't waste any time in figuring out the problem and fixing it. I had a plumbing crisis on a Friday- due to cold weather, my water service line broke in the yard and water was coming up. I made several calls and Roto-Rooter was both able to take the job and get to me the earliest, which was the following Monday. However, they were a no-show. I called them that afternoon and apparently they'd set it for Tuesday, actually (Definitely said Monday on the phone, hard to mistake that). Annoying, but they're still the only ones available, so sure.So on Tuesday, no communication. I call up and they're waiting on the camera tech to finish up a job, then they'll be over. That never happens. Call again and get told the camera people only work during the day so tonight's out too, but since it was a frozen pipe issue I shouldn't need the camera anyway, so they'll get dispatch to send out a plumber in the morning.Then today, no plumber and no communication again. I call again and we're back to the camera tech excuse, even though we're not supposed to need one. But he swears up and down he'll be there within an hour. So I go ahead and wait, because anyone coming over at this point at all would be progress. Get nothing again, call back only to find out the cameras are done for the day and apparently I wasn't even on their board to do today.I've had fine experiences with them in the past but this experience has soured me on them completely. This was not just one person either, as I seemed to get a new person on every call. Avoid at all costs.

I could not be more pleased with the service I received from Roto-Rooter. They were able to get a technician here much sooner than expected. I am an older woman and my house was going to flood. Glenn Roeder #4588 was first of all very polite. He explained what he was going to do and went the extra mile to let me know what my problem was and to try and calm my nerves down. All service employees should take a page from Glenn's book on politeness and caring. He was quick and efficient as well.

The jetter guy was very friendly and completed the job in a reasonable time. They came out very quickly and assessed the issue. It was more than I expected to pay but overall I was satisfied. I wish I could have called them sooner.

My first time using them and their worker was professional and friendly. Explained well what ws clogging our sewer system. They came with the time frame i was given and kept me updated on when someone would show up. Definitely recommend them to anyone needing the type of serve they do.

The technician Mike, was very knowledgeable and walkeded me through the process of what he was doing and why he did it that way. After using the camera to snake the pipe, his diagnosis of what the problem was was very easy to understand. More than anything else he was very straightforward and honest about what we could try and what had the highest chance of success to clear the drain. Even though in this case we were unable to get the drain fixed, due to equipment and procedural limitations, I would still recommend this service.

Everything about my experience with roto rooter was excellent. It's never fun to have a reason to have to call them, especially on a weekend, so I appreciate so much the prompt service I received. I originally used Roto Rooter when there was a backup in my basement (emergency call). I called them under the advisement of a family member. I am so glad I did. The young man who came out was not only professional, but after he evaluated the situation, told me upfront what the costs would be. I really appreciated this. He fixed the problem quickly and I could not have been happier. The second time I called them was yesterday, for my bathroom sink. The situation was worst than I thought, because he immediately spotted a corroding pipe underneath the sink. He said it had another six months before it would start leaking. Again, the service person was very professional and efficient. I would recommend them in a HEARTBEAT!

We had a minor backup on a Friday evening (of course!) and called at 7:00 am Saturday morning. The service provider was here by 8:15. He was professional and friendly and got to work right away. I was preparing to host a family dinner the next day when my kitchen sink stopped draining at 3 pm on a Saturday. Rotorooter truly came to the rescue. Brian arrived in less than an hour and was professional, knowledgeable and made it clear that it was his job to make everything was taken care of. He explained how the eggshells that I had put down the sink had clogged the drain and that I might prevent future clogs by regularly using an enzyme treatment—and by putting eggshells into the trash. I really felt like a valued customer and will definitely ask for Brian if I need to call Rotorooter again.

I had 2 guys come out and cable my sewer lines in the basement and everthing seemed fine. They then brought a guy with a camera to identify the main source of the issue. They identified using a sensor that the break was on the interior of my house. After digging a 3 x 5 hole in my basement they indentified the problem was outside. I am out $5800 as it stands and no repair and they now want to charge more to dig up my front yard. I would recommend them for the cabling but any repairs beyond that seemed like they were just trying to drive up the cost to make more commission. I will be getting the job finished by a more reliable company.

Same day service, plumber was at my house within two hours. Fixed my backed up kitchen sink and dishwasher was drained. I had called 4 other plumbers in the area and some never answered their phone and others were not available for a week. Thanks Roto Rooter.

No one likes mucking through the sewer pipes but he maintained a great sense of humor the entire time. Fixed the problem, cleaned up the work area and was on his way in no time. He had a few tips on maintenance and prevention as well. Would recommend Glenn to anyone looking for a professional plumber.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing is the worst company to use for your plumbing needs. First, they are overly over-priced... In my case parts that would normally cost $50 to $70 bucks this company charges over $100 bucks for it. Labor charge for a simple repair job in which the drywall was already removed $2600. Labor hours claimed was 5hrs when in fact they only spent 1.5 hrs. addressing the issue and the quality of work was the worse I've ever seen from a professional plumbing company. Save your many and don't waste your time with this outfit.

Daniel was super nice and very efficient. Our mainline was backed up by tree roots. He made sure to explain everything in detail that he was doing and making sure we knew what to do if it happens again in the future. I highly recommend this company and Daniel as a worker!

Update: roto rooter contacted me after this review and honored their original price quote of $490. They refunded the difference in price. Great customer service___________________________________Service was great. My complaint is with discrepancy in pricing. One person came out the night before and quoted a price of $490 to have the top tier service performed. There were no limitations indicated. Another guy came in the morning to perform the service and after wiring for an hour says it's $490 for 1 hour and we're at that mark. Then he says he's not sure he can get things done because they aren't allowed to get on the roof. Our stacks are on the roof and we told them that the night before. We settled for a ladder. He worked for about an hour and a half and eventually got the clog removed, but the price ended up being $700. I don't mind paying for good service, but I'm not a fan of being charged $200 more than the quoted price without notice. If there are time limitations in the services offered, costumers should be informed in advance, especially at a rate of $490 an hour. I do want to say that the tech who performed the service worked very hard and he seemed to care very much

We experienced a blockage caused by contractors pouring paint down a bathroom sink then attempted to fix the problem with paint thinner! HUGE mess. RotoRooter was able to find and clear the blockage. The only issue was the company was so backed up due to flooding that it took over 24 hours to respond. They did inform me of the delay and estimated when they would be able to fix my situation, which was very appreciated.

Fast and professional service. Easy appointment scheduling from the web site. The Service Technician Steve called before he arrived and was very informative about ways how I could prevent future issues with my plumbing. I would call Roto-Rooter again and recommend them to my friends an family.

I worked for hours on a Sunday trying everything to unclog my kitchen sink. When I finally had enough I called Rotorooter. They responded quickly and fixed the issue in no time. The technician was fast, knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely use them in the future.

Had a blocked sewer lateral line (water accumulating in the basement) and called Roto-Rooter... They sent out a technician named Glenn Roeder and I couldn't have been happier. He was honest, very friendly and explained what he was doing during the process. He was also very professional and eager to answer any questions I had. He ended up sending down a camera to identify the problem and any issues that would eventually need to be fixed by replacing the old cracked and broken clay pipe. He wasn't in a hurry to finish the job, so it didn't feel rushed. It was money well spent. I will reach out to him/Roto-Rooter in the future, as this was a very pleasant experience.... as pleasant as a clogged sewer pipe can get, I should say. :-)

They deserve zero stars since they didn't do any work. Called at 7:45 for a main line backup. Was told a technician could respond in 2 hours. Dispatcher called at 8:30 and said that they tech was finishing a job and they would call me back in 10-15 minutes when he was on his way. No call. I called at 9:30 to see what the problem was and was told that the tech wasn't answering his phone but he should be done soon. Called AGAIN at 10:30 and was told that he would be done in 10-15 minutes at would be on his way and would arrive in 40 minutes. When I pointed out that the dispatcher told me the tech was almost done at 8:30, the dispatcher was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I said I would cancel if the tech wasn't there by 11:15. Was on the phone cancelling the service call when the tech finally pulled up at 11:20. I did not let the tech perform the work when he would not budge at all on the price after this totally miserable experience. At midnight I might as well just wait until morning and not get screwed.

We needed our sewer lines checked and cleaned since we had blockage. Luckily they had availability and came within 1 1/2 of us calling. They were quick and cleaned out everything! Tim was training at the time, so he seemed to be very knowledgeable and a good trainer! Would recommend for sure!

Our sewer backed up the other night and Roto Rooter was there fairly quickly to help contain our stress and the mess that was taking over a part of our basement. Our service tech. Charles (5498) was great! He was friendly, professional and kept us in good spirits despite the looming disaster. He answered our questions fully and advised us on what steps to take next. I recommend asking for Charles should you ever need to use Roto Rooter. Overall, their service is great and reliable and they hire quality people.

Excellent timely service when I needed a quick fix to my plumbing for an occupancy inspection. Roto Rooter not only was out the same day but was able to pull the permit and arrange the inspection within hours of my call. Great Service, quick and professional. What more can you ask for!

Sewer backed up in the basement, after calling Roto Rooter someone was out pretty quick to access the issue. Sewer main was clogged and they were able to fix it promptly. The tech Liam was very polite.

EDIT: Updated from one to four stars. The owner called and plans to make this right. Left one star off for the hassle of everything, but I do appreciate the owners responsiveness and willingness to correct this situation.I generally do not write reviews, and when I do, it is usually to point out exceptional service or quality. Unfortunately, that is not the case here.Robert from Roto-Rooter (Saint Louis) came out to fix a shower handle and cartridge. This took quite a while and I was charged significantly more than what one would expect for this job. After a couple weeks, I noticed that a leak had started as a result of this work, when water began to come through my basement ceiling.Robert returned to diagnose a leak from a sweat joint on the shower valve. He indicated that he would need to replace the entire valve, removing tile to get to it, and quoted $1500 (not including tile repair). This leak did not begin until the work he had done on the original job.I went with another company who diagnosed the same issue, but offered up a repair solution, costing less than 1/3 of Robert’s quote, and did not require the removal of tile (their quote for complete replacement was also considerably cheaper as well, even with tile replacement included). They are a reputable company and completed this work in an hour.I would strongly recommend against using Roto-Rooter in Saint Louis as they are overpriced, dishonest with their advice, and seemingly lack the skill of other plumbing options in the area.

Had an urgent issue with the plumbing in the kitchen and called for service. Had a tech out within the hour. Mike (Tech 325) was very friendly and personable, and got to work right away. He fixed the problem without a hitch (including endless questions from our three-year-old). Great service and would gladly call them again for any future jobs.

Only 2 hrs from phone call to my door. Brian was knowledgeable and efficient. The price was spot on for the after hours service and getting things fixed for me. I’ll use them again if needed and highly recommend others to do so, too!

The technician didn't come out for the original appointment but did the next day at the second appointment time. I later learned they have been very backed up since the pandemic. Tim was professional. explained things well and was overall pleasant to work with. He unclogged the Laundry Room drain and, thankfully, there were no major plumbing issues. I would use them again.

We had a backed up pipe that was covered in a puddle so called them for emergency service. After waiting 7 hours longer than they said, they guy came out and said 1. Roto-Rooter, as a whole company, doesn't pump or remove water, and 2. He obviously couldn't snake the pipe if he couldn't see it. I called another company who was there in 15 minutes and fixed it. Call someone else!

We had a great experience with our Technician. He was professional and got the job done on a timely manner. We will always use Roto rooter for any plumbing issues we may have!

RotoRooter is always very prompt and keeps you informed if there are any issues which I as a consumer appreciate. They have very flexible schedules and competent technicians. To me the pricing is a little higher, but worth it due to the expediency of service.

Unable to open sewer drain. Technician said someone would call the next morning to examine sewer line with a camera . No one called. I phoned two times and and spoke with representative and am still waiting for call.Technician arrived the next day. He gave an estimate to examine sewer line with camera and to repair sewer line. Price quote seemed high. Will get other quotes first.

The gentleman that came to my house, Daniel, was very polite and did a good job. However, I would say that in general, Roto Rooter's prices are too high and they take advantage of you when you are in a vulnerable situation. I would not use them for a regular plumbing need or for a planned service call.

$735 to replace a $50 part that in total took exactly 2 hours from start to finish. Total actual time spent on the repair was 10 minutes to diagnose the problem and 20 minutes to replace the part. The other hour and a half was his drive time to go pick up the part. Shame on me for not doing more research and for letting myself get completely taken advantage of. After my husband called to ask how in the world it cost so much, they did refund $100, I guess because they felt bad?? Lesson learned.

Our kitchen sink backed up on Thanksgiving morning. I searched Angie's list for a drain-cleaning service and decided to call Roto-Rooter based on its excellent ratings and customer feedback. Our serviceman, Derek, arrived at our house within an hour. He figured out the source of the blockage quickly, then fixed it and tested it. He took great care in protecting the work area and gave us excellent advice on how to prevent the problem from recurring. He was friendly and professional. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter.

Bob installed a shut off valve the same day so we could turn the rest of the house's water back on until he could come back. Due to the age of the house, the repair could not be completed same day and required more extensive repair work. Just 2 days later he returned for the major repair. The job was completed under the time frame he gave, and very close to the original estimate.

Had trouble with water leak where water line entered the back of the refrigerator. A Roto-Rooter plumber came promptly on a Saturday morning.He diagnosed the problem quickly. It required installing a new shut-off valvein the basement. The leak was stopped and we were able to use the plumbing in the rest of the house. He was very professional and quick and the work was completed in a short time.

The heavy rains in late March left two inches of standing water in my basement. The floor drain was doing nothing. Bob, Tech. No. 8590, from Roto-Rooter came out and cabled the the main line from the vent in my yard, but it was complicated. I had had a main sewer lateral repair several years ago and the lines ran in two directions. It took a while and wasn't looking good, but Bob kept trying to figure it out. I was never so glad to hear that sound from the drain with the water receded. He did a great job and I was impressed with his determination and skill. Would use them again in a heartbeat. It was exactly what they said it would cost too.

Not sure what to think. Very friendly and professional plumbers on the phone. Paid for 1 inspection, 2nd team did the camera work and ended up doing the repairs. An initial budget of $3,500 turned into almost $10,000 for sewer damage repairs. As it's a rental property, I couldn't be there to see it and had to trust their recommendations. Didn't account for my previous 1st payment so overcharged me. I picked them based on the number of positive reviews but wonder if a local plumber would have been just as reliable and much cheaper for the same work.

Jason (3136) from Roto-Rooter did a great job! I had some pretty severe clogs and tree roots. He spent several hours working on the pipes until he was sure he got everything. I really appreciate it.

We had a sewer backup and called Roto Rooter. They were here is about an hour and Tech #7337, Nick, did a wonderful job of opening up the sewer and cleaning up the backup in our basement. I hope that we never need them again in an emergency but we would certainly call them again and intend to maintain our sewer with them in the future. I highly recommend their service.

The worker that came to my house was very nice. He was professional. Very covid friendly. He got right to work and knew exactly what to do. It was a great experience and I highly appreciate him coming out in the sub zero, snowy weather to fix our clogged drain.

Had a guy out within 30min of me calling to which he worked for over 2 hours to try to unclog our main pipe line and even though he couldn't get the clog out with snaking he was quick to put an invoice in to have a hyrdo jetter come out the next morning. I got a call early the following morning and a guy was out in 20min, worked less then an hour and had it unclogged. Very knowledgeable people, friendly, helpful, best customer service I have ever experienced. Cannot reccomend them enough, prices can't be beat, and their worked is backed up with a warranty. Very satisfied customer.

Nothing worse than waking up Thanksgiving morning and discovering that the sewer has backed up. Within 2 hours Cody was at my door, he worked until we were both satisfied that the problem was fixed. During his visit he asked if I had ever had a camera run through the pipes. I had not and since the house is over 50 years old I decided it was a good idea. Within a couple more hours Glenn was there to run the camera, it was a good idea as we discovered some issues that I would not have known about otherwise. Both these guys worked my issue like it was the only issue they had that day, and that's saying a lot since it was Thanksgiving day. Aron was great very professional but I thought 180.00 to unclog a toilet was very high and that was after a 75.00 online coupon the whole job took less than 20 minutes so that's a 180.00 for twenty minutes of time wow that's a lot.

Using Roto-Rooter for an unexpected clogging issue with my kitchen sink was a great experience. They were able to get a Tech to my house very soon, and had accommodations to my limited availability.They DO NOT charge extra for weekend or evening work, which is really great if you have an emergency. Fortunately, I did not have an emergency so the Tech came at a time of convenience for me around my job and availability.The Tech who came by was Jason E. (3686) and he was super knowledgeable and friendly. He quickly found the issue that was causing the clog, and was able to give me a quote right there on the spot. After deciding to move forward, Jason had everything needed to fix the issue available in his work van.He was very courteous in making sure that my home stayed clean throughout his work. Wore carpet protectors on his shoes, equipment, wiped everything down when done, etc. He didn’t leave until he know that the problem was fixed, which was a blessing for me because my issue ended up being slightly larger than anticipated.As he was working, I was able to continue my work from home with nothing bothering me. When finished, Jason briefly explained the issue and what he did to fix it. He continued to give me some great advice on how to prevent this in the future.It was a great experience all around. They called to get the OK to show up early, then they showed up early. Knocked the out the clog and flushed the system. He also made sure to give me the details about the Warrently that comes with the Drain Snaking. Quite Happy.

I received a couple of calls after my initial call giving me updates on when the technician/plumber would arrive, which was nice. I did not ask price on my initial call and was shocked by the $395.00 price the tech announced before preforming the cleaning of the one laundry drain in question. The tech, Christian, was very professional and completed the drain cleaning in short fashion. We found a $75 coupon online and Christian talked to his manager to get us another $20 off. We have not needed a plumber to clear a drain for many years. I know inflation is high, but just shocked by the price. I looked for old receipts when we had bigger problems clearing roots from our lateral sewer run to the main and into the main, when we found out it was an MSD problem. It was 20 years ago and we paid less than half of what we eventually paid today. This clogged drain was not an emergency, since it was just our one laundry drain. Just shocked by the initial price quote for a non emergency.

Needed lateral line replacement, basement and back yard. Required major excavation. Roto-Rooter did an amazing job, started the very next day and finished in 3 days. Expensive but when you see all of the work involved, very understandable. Crew was polite and professional. Cleaned up site when work was done. Large, capable, and professional company. You get what you pay for. Very happy with my new lateral line, and no worries for decades to come.

We had an emergency backup on Memorial Day and Roto-Rooter took amazing care of it. Two technicians, Mike and Jason, arrived at my home only 30 minutes after I called for service. They were friendly and informative and went above and beyond to not just clear the clog, but make sure all my lines were clean so it (hopefully) won't back up again any time soon. They also have a great warranty. I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience.

RotoRooter was very responsive to our after hours emergency. This is the second time we've needed to call them after hours due a clog at our facility over the past few years. Our tech, Nick, was very helpful. They always clear the drain quickly and efficiently and through the use of a camera scope are able to share best practices for us to avoid a similar problem in the future. It's an expensive service, but comes with the confidence that the problem has been fixed correctly.

The only reason this is not a 5 star review is because we called on a Wednesday night at 10:30 pm and they said a tech would be here in 30 mins. We called in at 11:15 and couldn't get an update. After another call at 12:00am we heard from the tech and he advised he couldn't be here until 8:00 am Thursday, so we settled for that.Karl came at 8:15 to auger the lines but recommended a hydroflush based on my specific circumstances. Andy showed up ~1 hour later and completed the job. Andy was super helpful and very nice to work with. the techs get a 5-star review. The dispatcher/call center experience was not as good. I'd use Roto Rooter again but hope I never have to.

The plumber who came out was absolutely amazing. He installed my replacement tub/shower valve in little time. He was very professional and kind.The only issue I had was when I tried to schedule the appointment the first time. I scheduled it a few days in advance on their website and when the day came, they called to reschedule for the next week.I want to state I had no issue with the person calling (they immediately offered a new appointment date and we’re apologetic about it).While I do understand things may happen where they can’t come out for that day, I don’t understand how it could be pushed back for so long. I get the next day or even the day after that at the most, but 5 days?I wouldn’t think it to be a big deal if I wasn’t without running water for over a week at that point and I now had to take off work for the appointment. I don’t know if it was that everyone used the online schedule at the same time, or maybe nobody looked at the schedule until the day of, or what, but it was frustrating.Again, nothing wrong with the service provided, the plumber and everyone I interacted with was pleasant. Just had an issue with the scheduling.

I was having trouble with the basement sink, in my newly remodeled bathroom. It had clogged twice in 24 hours and leaked underneath in the new vanity. I went online after 8pm and scheduled a service call, and Roto Rooter was at my house the next morning at 8am. They were very thorough, asked a ton of questions, went over all the plumbing in the house on all floors, diagnosed and resolved the problem. Very impressed with their response time and knowledge, and the I was able to pay with a credit card and didn't have to write a check.

Only reason I picked Roto Rooter is because they had availability on a Saturday. Didn't come out until Monday. Technician was pretty rude and said they would have to take down half a wall to fix the issue. Had a local company come out and they repaired the pipe though a small hole for LESS THAN HALF the price.

I developed a leak on Christmas day. I called the next day and RotoRooter was able to schedule me in for the following morning. But on the day they were supposed to come (sometime between 9am-1pm) they called to say they were running late so I chose to reschedule. On the day they came they were within the timeframe I was given, the worker was polite, efficient, and explained everything to me. Overall I am happy with the experience.

We had to have two toilets replaced so I chose root-rooter because of the plethora of positive reviews. Those high reviews are well earned. Michael came out and not only was he very professional but he was friendly and provided the best possible service. Our new toilets look and function wonderfully and not once did he complain about the old toilets even though they were horrible! I would highly recommend roto-rooter and especially Michael.

Left dont know what right. We keep getting the run around even after 3 days. They were supposed to be here yesterday now this morning. Almost 9 pm and a no show. Called their number and of course they cant give me an answer. I have to wait on the dispatcher who is back logged in calls. We have been waiting for them since yesterday! I'm not convinced the problem was our drain, though, I think it's our broken, gross disposal, that we are not replacing because we're in the beginning stages of a giant renovation. Whatever the issue, the sink drains.. for now. I would give this 5 stars but the visit was almost $500. Plumber we have used before (Cordia) only charges about $200 but they couldn't come out fast enough. Oh well.. I do recommend this company for sure, to come out fast, but you will pay for the speedy service!

My water heater stopped working on a late Saturday morning. I decided to call Roto-Rooter after reading over their Google reviews. Roto-Rooter was able to send Robert Johnson to my house within just a couple of hours. It was obvious to me that Robert is extremely knowledgeable and takes pride in his work. Robert made sure I understood the whole process. Overall, I had a positive experience.

Mike went above and beyond and was very professional, came out quickly for my main sewer line. It was clogged and backing into my basement. Pulled a 10ft auger line that was left by another plumbing company from a 2 week ago repair that the other company failed to mention leaving in my main sewer line.

My basement floor drain had backed up and left standing water, so I used Roto-Rooter's website to set up an appointment. The process was quick and painless to set a date and give a brief description of my problem. I mentioned having a leaky washer, knowing the chances were slim that a technician from this company could help, but I thought I would try my chances anyway. A representative called me within about 30 minutes of my submission for an appointment and discussed my washing machine problem. In the end, we determined a Roto-Rooter technician would not be able to help me with the washer, but the appointment was on for the next morning (as I had scheduled it), and I received an email for confirmation soon after.This morning Roto-Rooter called to confirm the appointment and to let me know that my technician Mike (#6602) would be there within 45 to 60 minutes. He arrived on time, introduced himself, and after I showed him the offending drain, he got right to work. Mike carried himself in a friendly way and seemed happy to help. I moved my car to allow access to the sewer line, and after determining that we would need to employ the drain snake (and a quick price estimate), I sat on the couch and watched some television while he did his thing. He was considerate and used the back door and walked around the house to keep from tracking in any avoidable mud clods.When he was done, he called me down to show me the cleaned out drain and educated me on some of St. Louis County's plumbing codes, making some suggestions for how I may fit them better if I were to call in a plumber in the future. Mike explained a problem at the drain opening and how best to avoid future clogs at the drain site. At my prompting, he explained (and demonstrated) the mechanics of my sump pump/pit, and he was generous enough to turn a stubborn shut-off valve to halt a leak in my outdoor faucet that I had previously been unable to budge myself.We met outside in the front to go over my invoice. Mike told me about a coupon online and applied it for me. He used his phone to process two forms of payment, then left me with my copies.Mike's service was quick, efficient, friendly, and even educational: the perfect recipe for some peace of mind. Don't waste your money! Try Kirkwood Plumbing instead.Had Roto-rooter replace my sump pump because I didn't want to pay the weekend fee for Kirkwood Plumbing. The plumbing coming out of the pump has failed catastrophically twice in 10 months.They fixed it after a fuss the first time (It was 30 days past the 90-day warranty). The second time, they told me all the reasons that it wasn't their problem and it was past the warranty. They were finally going to send someone in a couple of days, but they would only fix it if it was a small issue. They had nothing to say about the quality of the installation except that it was past the 90-day warranty. (Meanwhile my basement is flooding and my tenants are manually emptying the sump pit with a bucket.)My husband convinced me that we needed to shell out for an actual professional to fix the problem for good, rather than having Roto-rooter come out again and fail again.Don't use Roto-rooter unless you don't need the fix to last more than 90-days, because it won't.

We were lucky to have the two Nick W and Nick B come to our home to help us out. Both of them were very professional and very knowledgeable in what they were doing. They both took their time to explain everything. We didn't feel like we were dealing with a big company out to just make a profit because of these two.

I can't say thank you enough to Roto-Rooter for sending someone to address our problem so quickly. Bob Johnson- the technician, arrived when he said he would, addressed our problem, told us what he was going to do, and did it, all within a very short period of time. I found major ceiling (water) damage in the afternoon on a Saturday. A Roto-Rooter tech (Greg #8366) was at my house less than 24 hours later. He diagnosed the issue before even seeing the upstairs toilet and had the job finished 30 minutes later. Very efficient and professional. I was happy to give my business to a company that hires vets! They even notified a restoration team for me that will work with my insurance company to fix my ceiling. Service charge was a little high, but it’s a holiday weekend, so it’s understandable.

Original Sales/Dispatch I spoke with to schedule appointment prior, was tasked with passing on that we needed an evaluation on a pipe that ran under slab. I Let dispatcher know that the pipe had standing water in it and would not drain. Dispatch was going to send a tech out with a Camera. When tech came in, they had no description or notes from what I had spoken with the dispatcher about prior. Tech said that he couldn't get a good camera shot with water in the pipe. So he needed to snake it. Attempted to snake the line (unsuccessful) $375.00, they put a camera in the water filled line (unsuccessful) another $475.00. Never sent video clip ( which I mentioned I would have needed if I went through homeowners insurance...regardless of quality). I had to call him later that afternoon to remind him to send and then again the next day. Altogether, he worked on a 2 inch kitchen drain for 20-30 mins. Charged me $900.00. Then quoted me (an absurd amount) for repair and tried to leverage/justify the price by saying that, they would do me a solid by reducing the cost of total repair by the $900.00 he had already charged me.....the reduction would have been AT MOST a 5% discount.(i'll leave the rest of the math up to you if you want to know the actual complete unhinged cost of initial estimate)...what a favor...Also, the tech did mention to me that he would not be present during the excavation nor any of the work being done. It became apparent that he really did not care about us as a client. Additionally, I thought it funny that he never mentioned an alternative solution until I proposed the wild idea of possible other solutions. Turns out that, out of 4 additional opinions/estimates of reputable plumbers in the STL area, that a reroute was MOST DEFINITELY THE WAY TO GO not to mention that it was WAY MORE MORE ECONOMICAL and satisfied code. I personally feel that this was a price gouge and predatory salesmanship. Shame on them for this Sham! NEVER AGAIN

I got an appointment right away and the plumber arrived within the assigned appointment time window. The price for having our sewer drain cleaned out was very expensive even with the $75 off coupon. Overall happy that we got an appointment but wish the price was better.

I booked an appointment online with Roto Rooter. Our laundry washer drain was clogged and needed something better than a Walmart brand snake.They called to confirm the service request, confirm that no one was sick and that they would be practicing safe social distancing and what we could expect from their technician and what was expected of us.Carl our service tech was very nice and friendly. He wore his protective gear and was able to get the drain clear within half an hour. He made sure to mention the $75 coupon that I already knew about, but I was glad he was thoughtful to bring it up.Problem fixed within half a day😁5 Stars guys! I always know who to call with plumbing issues.

Great work and good price. Turned out to be a big job and the technician did a great job identifying the issue, explaining the problem, and working with urgency to quickly resolve it. Second time I’ve used roto rooter and they were great both times.

I picked Roto-Rooter because, after calling five potential plumbers, they had the lowest fee for consultation and they waive the fee if you choose them to do the work. The handyman was able to come take a look at the problem the next day. He was on time, communicated clearly about the issue and the costs, and finished the job same day. Nice and simple. It's been a little over a week now with no further issues.

Brain was fast and friendly! We weren’t planning on having to call Roto Rooter to fix our clogged drain problem, but they showed up within an hour of calling and got the job done.

My husband and I had been dealing with two clogged drains and a broken garbage disposal for weeks before we decided to call Roto Rooter. We thought we could unclog everything ourselves, but after several failed attempts we broke down and made an appointment. Our technician Ray was awesome! He was able to fix everything in a timely manner and we are thrilled to have our lives and house back to normal!

Our technician was knowledgeable about the repairs needed after the pipe to the water hook up for my washer busted. He also found in his inspection that our water shut off valve wes completely broken. He fixed that too!

I am not sure if anyone can beat their response time, communication, and customer service. They are typically more expensive, but if you want a great service partner, they are worth it. Love that they are flat rate no matter the time as well. I don't have to worry about getting hit with a bunch of extra charges if they have to come out late. Very easy to work with!

One of our sump pumps failed during heavy rainfall - I was able to call late that evening and schedule an appointment for the next day. Having said that, I couldn't understand why a water line for my new refrigerator was $337 for twenty minutes worth of work. The existing water line was used. Brenden and Keisha replaced our basement lift pump system. The pump went out and sewage was backing up. They were prompt, professional, and courteous. They did a thorough job testing the new system after installation to confirm it was functioning without any leaks. They cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend Roto Rooter and Brenden and Keisha specifically.

Service and technicians were great, completely satisfied with their performance. Upon leaving, a neighbor told me other local companies were about a third to a quarter of the price of the service ($100+ vs the $400+ I had paid. However, this is unverified information, and knowing this now I will check other providers before committing to a job.

Ray shocked me with an extremely high price off the bat for replacing the washers in my two handle tub faucet! Ouch, that hurt!!! He did let me use the $40 coupon I found online but his price was so high that it really didn't help very much. I'm still in shock!!!!!! Total cost for under 1 hour of service $230. He was on time and his workmanship was good. Glad it's over and my leaky tub faucet is fixed. For one hour of work the bill should have been $50 plus washers.

Robert came to our house on his day off to fix our leaky sink! He was very helpful, informative, and quick! He didn't mind our animals either and was very friendly. He informed us when he would be 15 minutes out so we weren't waiting around all day for his service. I will request him again in the future for any services we may need!

Had a leak in the basement of our new home. Thankfully we were able to get Don, our technician, the same day when I called. The work that had been done was not neat or clean and according to the technician it was only a bad sealant job at a joint. He cut, replaced and resealed the joint properly. In the event of cutting the piping his bucket of water did fall off the ladder, and before continuing his work, he stopped to clean up after himself. The job was done and my basement was clean all within an hour of my time.I was very impressed by the craftsmanship and professional work done for me. Worth calling.

We had a backed up sewer line. I had one technician come out and snake the line. He got it flowing but still blocked. The next morning, a camera crew came out and was able to quickly diagnose the blockage. The technicians were very courteous, polite and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions thoroughly. I am now waiting on Roto-Rooter to come out and replace the lateral line from my house. While it is disappointing to have to have this work done at your home, Roto-Rooter has been very very fast with response time, information and best of all their prices are very competitive. I am very very happy with them and would 100% recommend them to anyone.

Horrible experience. Drain techs appeared to not have thorough knowledge of the job. Servicemen created more damage and refused to fix the problem. When a serious matter presented itself no one working for the company wanted to do the necessary work. I would not recommend this company.

Excellent service, what can I say. I called Roto-Rooter on Sunday at 9:00am, Easter Sunday at that, had sewage backup, let them know if it had to happen Monday I could deal with it but OH NO, NOT ROTO-ROOTER, they had someone at my house by 11:00am, awesome service and the plumber was great. Don was extremely courteous, treated me with respect and was great to talk with and exchange stories. He had 15 years of experience and knew exactly what to do, it was a great transition and sold me on Roto-Rooter for all my plumbing issues that I do not want to tackle. My issue was resolved in less than an hour. Not sure how I could have gotten better service.

Mr.Jackson did our service to unclog a kitchen drain. Mr.Jackson explained what services he will be performing. It took him longer because of the severity of the clog. Mr.Jackson was very friendly and has excellent customer service skills. Job well done.

After a weekend of far too many Thanksgiving dishes, the kitchen sink was clogged and the dishwasher was backing up. After trying everything I knew—plunging the sink, checking the p-trap, etc.—I realized this problem was outside my area in expertise and called Roto-rooter. The appointment took two minutes to schedule and I was able to get same day service around MY schedule. I received a text message when the rep was on the way and was able to leave the office in order to meet him just as he arrived. Carl was courteous, professional, and diagnosed the problem right away. He told me what the price would be up front and encouraged me too look up a coupon online. The ONLY reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service felt quite pricey ($284) for the 20 minutes of work it took to clear the clog. Despite that, I would highly recommended Roto-rooter!

Dan (Tech 6694) came out to my house on 11/30/2018, due to a backed up floor drain. He was very professional and explained everything that he was going to do. Then going above and beyond he also suggested a procedure (Jet Flush), that would help to prevent the clog to happen again. With no pressure to actually to book the procedure he explained the process and after he cleared the clog (in less time than he thought), and allowing me time to consider the other option, (I decided to go ahead and get the Jet Flush and video). Dan made my appointment for me. Roto rooter was fast prompt and made me feel at ease during the whole process. I will use them for other issues if they arise.

Your technician could not properly diagnose our problem until he spoke to a colleague over the phone, but, by that time he had already tried several things and in doing so had run up the bill. This was his second time to our home in less than a week. And we are not confident that he fixed the problem.

A clogged main drain is serious stuff and, I'm sure they can tell when they arrive that professional efficient service practices pay off. Missed agreed upon 4-hour time window 2 days in a row. On the second day, I had an 8 am time slot. Was called at 11:20 am saying they had someone they could send over, but he would be grabbing lunch first. 3 hours later I had four missed calls. I had walked away from my phone for a few minutes, but called back within 5 minutes of the first missed call and they said they already moved on.The dispatcher on my phone was rude as well. She implied that it was my fault for being away for five minutes (I don't think it was a local dispatch since it was an Indianapolis number).Let's be clear: Roto-Rooter was MIA for 8 total hours between two separate days. So, it's hardly the customer's fault in that situation.It is a shame since I really enjoyed the service when I had a blocked drain a year ago.

A Saturday afternoon and my basement drain backs up. I call the number for the Webster Groves Roto-Rooter, someone answered the phone. She was very polite and said someone would call us when they were 30 minutes out. Less then an hour later the service man called saying he was on the way. He was extremely polite and professional. I used this company to clear a blockage in my sewer lateral line running through my backyard. The guys who showed up were friendly and professional, and they stayed until the job was completed, even though it took longer than they originally anticipated. My only complaint is that when quoting the price of the service, they automatically included a bottle of sewer line cleaner without telling me that was included. Only when I saw the receipt did I realize that I had paid $76 for a bottle of cleaner that would have cost me $18 at a hardware store.

I phoned in the afternoon for a problem with a floor drain in my basement that was starting to back up. The service tech arrived at my house within a couple of hours. He worked extremely hard to get the problem solved, I could barely keep up with him! He did everything he could to please me, the customer, including being very fastidious with cleaning up the area during and after the procedure (since there was a bit of splatter from the machine which rodded out the pipes). He was very polite, as well. Hard worker, definitely an asset to the company.

I had a very good experience with RotoRooter. The service woman on the phone was courteous and helpful.I was told the serviceman would arrive up to 2 hours; he arrived at about a half hour. Great.The serviceman, Hasan#5506, was very courteous and knowledgeable. He pointed out my trouble spots and explained them in a way I can understand. He even answered the questions of my neighbor who was watching and had questions. Hasan did a great job of fixing my drain problem. He also gave me some helpful tips and cleaned up the work area. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give my experience an easy 10.

From start to finish they were true professionals. Very friendly on the phone. I was able to set up the appointment the next morning (they offered the same night I called but it was better for me in the morning). My house was treated with respect. The technician who came by explained what he was doing and why and answered every question me and my wife had. The estimate on the work was fair and when the work was done they stayed true to the estimate (which has not been the case for me with other companies). So I will definitely be calling RotoRooter next time I have plumbing issues.

I needed a pedestal sink taken out until I had flooring installed and the upstairs toilet kept flushing. I also needed the sink put back in. After the plumber told me I needed a fluid master to stop the toilet noise I said ok. 30 minutes later the noise started again. After 3 different plumbers,3 no show no call the toilet is still making flush noises. This cost me $721. After standing me up 3 times I asked for $280 of my money back so I could hire someone that would show up. They refused. I am a senior on a fixed income and was not asking for all my money back. It’s a sorry business when seniors are taken advantage of.

I’ve used Roto Rooter twice since buying our house over a year ago. They are usually the fastest to get out to your home, even on holidays sometimes! And they are always pleasant, informative and don’t leave a mess. The prices are reasonable in my opinion - I recommend for sure 👍🏽

My technician, Samantha, was very good, very capable. I'm very disappointed with Roto Rooter's business model however. They come to your house at no charge but then the cost to clear the blockage in the bathtub was ridiculously high. But by then, they're already in your house and it's a huge inconvenience to have to go back and price the service with other companies. Then they sell you an $80 enzyme to help keep your drains clear. It just ended up being way too expensive for the needed work. Samantha was great (love a female technician) but I won't call them again.

My sewer backed up at 6:30 on a Friday evening. Roto-Rooter was there at 8:30 Saturday morning. Dan was extremely knowledgeable, he quickly resolved the problem, and he gave me several recommendations for keeping my sewer pipes clear going forward. Highly recommend!

Roto-Rooter came to my house used an auger on my toilet worked for a week and half.I had to call for someone to come back he did the same thing,later that night (10 minutes actually) I called for a refund . management called me back that same night very apologetic. Said I would get a refund for the last visit and scheduled a plumber to come on Wednesday. Glenn Roider #4588 was very good explaining everything and was very through. Brendan was our technician, he was very courteous and helpful! Our clog was apparently a good one. He had trouble getting through the clog, but he stuck he it and got the job done. I was impressed with his determination to get the job done.

We had water coming up from our basement floor drain. They were here within an hour of my call. They cleaned out the floor drain to the feeder line, cleaned out the feeder line to the main and then cleaned up the mess in the basement around the floor drain. They were very thorough and professional. I appreciate the job they did.

Brandon from roto rooter was great. Very attentive and had my main drain open in 20 minutes. Removed some roots about 60 ft into the drain. Great to have this service on a Saturday for less than I've paid for similar service during the week. 6 months warranty is great as well.

Don't let these guys in your house for water clean-up and restoration work. They fed the call center of the insurance company with damage codes to get a claim opened. They spent less than 20 minutes removing an area of carpet less than 3 feet x 8 feet. Sprayed disinfectant and set up a fan and dehumidifier which was removed the next day. The insurance claim was denied when reviewed and they charged us over $1,200 for the small amount of work and time. Never using them again!

Great service! Christopher M. spent a whole Saturday (about 6 hours) replacing a hot water heater and installing copper lines for my ice maker. He knew that the service call was priority as the hot water heater and ice maker were both leaking water into my basement. He was very diligent, kind, and calm. He completed the job and resolved my water leakage issue.

I called Roto-Rooter 24 hr phone service late in the night when my sewer drain in my basement backed up and created a pool of sewage. The lady over the phone got me set up right away and offered many different time options. They sent Christian out the very next day. He was so nice and professional. Explained everything in great detail. I could tell he truly cares about doing his job with integrity and the best interest of the client in mind. He got the job done so quickly and seamlessly. Because of my experience I will definitely keep Roto Rooter in mind the next time an issue like this occurs.

We just purchased a 70 year old house and thus needed both our sewer lateral and gutter downspout laterals cleaned out. I was favorably impressed with the service Roto Rooter provided. First, they gave us a two hour window of arrival time which is better than the typical AM or PM window span and then 1/2 hour before arrival they gave us a call that they were on the way. The entire experience with Roto-Rooter personnel was pleasant as they were all courteous and professional. I called for a non-emergency drain cleaning. A service technician was available to come that afternoon. Derek (tech #4079) was very knowledgeable and confident about the drain cleaning job. He answered all my questions. He also recommended an additional service, which I accepted. We discussed maintenance and future services and I feel comfortable with the information provided. I will definitely contact Roto-Rooter the next time drain service is needed, or even better, before it is needed.

We were completely satisfied. We were hesitant, at first, to use a place that spends money on advertising and has some degree of overhead associated with that expense. However, in spite of them being a company, we found the service provider who came to our site to be completely friendly, helpful, and personable, and with a high degree of knowledge and conscientiousness about the job. He provided alternatives and multiple options to choose from, being sensitive to our concerns for cost, but value with regards to quality of work. The worker was EXCELLENT, and so was the initial phone service support staff. While we believe we could have gotten a slightly cheaper option somewhere else, we'd have been waiting much longer, spending time or wasting time, I should say. They were great. They were perfectly priced for the quality rendered. NO complaints! I recommend them highly and would use them again.

They came out very quickly at first, but didn't have the correct equipment for the job. So Jacob said he would send out a person with a camera the next day. We never heard from them again. I had to call several times and constantly got the run-around. Finally they got a camera guy out who claimed that our sewer pipe collapsed. He said that in order to fix it, they would most definitely damage the water line so we'd need to replace that too. Outrageous. We called Hoffman Bros - they had someone out within the hour who had all the right equipment. Hoffman Bros confirmed that the pipe was NOT collapsed. They fixed the issue and for much less money. Won't be using Roto Rooter again.

My washing machine standpipe became clogged and overflowed. Unfortunately, I didn't have the right size fish tape to manage dislodging the clog. I called Roto-Rooter. They sent Gabby out to free up the clog, which he did very quickly. We tested the standpipe to verify that it was free flowing. Gabby was very professional in his performance and in the way he answered additional questions that I had about other plumbing related issues. He discussed a monthly maintenance program that involved using a product that he offered to keep all of my drains clear of any normal buildup. He was very pleasant to work with and we appreciated his time.

Mike arrived promptly then efficiently did the job. He was very careful and considerate as he worked then cleaned up before he left. Mike went above and beyond tightening a toilet seat which was not a big deal to Mike but was important to me. Mike explained as he did the job making me feel confident in his work. I live in Saint Louis MO and recently had my sewer line backup in my basement. Roto-Rooter sent a Plumber out on Labor Day within an hour of me calling them to have the issues resolved. The tech was polite, knowledgeable and efficient. Overall is was a great experience and great service. I plan to use them again in the future.

I am exceptionally happy with the services completed for my 55 year old home. From the beginning of the process and throughout the scope of the work needed to repair my homes plumbing issues, everyone I dealt with responded in a very professional, courteous and friendly manner. While the job took a few days to resolve, everyone from customer service, dispatch, technicians, and plumbers stayed focused and worked until the job was completed to my satisfaction. I am comfortable in following the plan of action needed to get my home up to date and functional. All quotes were up front and in writing and I did not have to pay additional charges when problems arose. What a nice surprise! The work did not interfere with my families normal routine. Our Rotorooter serviceman (Andy) arrived on time. He was very courteous. He explained clearly what he had to do. While he was cleaning out the line, we chatted about other treatments and solutions that could be done to prevent further sewer backups and he made recommendations and gave us a discount for a camera inspection to verify what was wrong with our sewer line. After the work, he cleaned up thoroughly, which I appreciated.

Today, I woke up to a broken tub faucet! I remembered get roto. Robert Johnson called me back. When he arrived, he was very knowledgeable (he recognized the problem right away.) He was very professional he told me the problem and went right to work fixing the problem. He was here for about two hours. He was very polite and always ready to answer any of my questions. I would definitely call again. I give Robert Johnson a five star rating.

Our toilet was flushing poorly so we called Roto-Rooter. Service person came to look at it.He flushed it a couple of times and then explained that our toilet was just small and it’s the kind of toilet that you have to flush two or three times each use.We thought that sounded a little strange because the toilet is only a couple of years old and the same size as our downstairs toilet which flushes normally.Since service person looked at our toilet, it has only gotten worse. We wasted 75 bucks.I called the company last week and was promised I’d get a call back about the issue. No call.

We have a yearly maintenance done of the drains in our condominium. This year, Derek came out to do the job for us. He was exceptionally helpful, went out of his way to help us with clean up of all the heavy mud that had accumulated in one of the drains. This may not have even been part of what he was paid to do. Plus, he was super pleasant about it all! I have always trusted Roto Rooter to do this kind of maintenance for us for more than 10 years now and will certainly continue to use them. All the guys they send out are great, but Derek went above and beyond my expectations. Thank you Derek!

I had the sewer back up into my basement, on New Years Day. It was such a mess. After trying hard to find someone to come out, Roto-Rooter had no problem getting me on their emergency list and fixing the issue. The customer service I received was impeccable. Also the techs were mindful of my hardwood floors, and were excellent. I will recommend Roto-Rooter to everyone who needs a plumbing service. I'm so happy with their timely manner and am impressed by their professionalism. Two thumbs up and 5 stars.

This review is not to the company or the person who did service, their service charges way above average, to call them is $69, I asked them clearly in the phone are you guys expensive or moderate or low pricing, they didn't answered, they sent one technician his quotes are not affordable, way way higher, so I regret my calling this company and loosing my $69 money.

Can you fix your gas water heater? If so, don't bother calling Rotor-rooter. I am handy, I fixed the fuel pump in my car. Yes, I paid for the service call, and it was a 20 dollar thermocouple. HOWEVER, I am glad I called -- they can do a lot more than clearing fatburgs from sewers. Debbie was part of their 24/7 telephone response unit, and Paul was the service tech who showed up on a miserable winter blizzard warning day. He took the whole thing apart and put it back together again. I am glad I got no nonsense service. I have hot water! Life is good :)

Don came out to my house on a Sunday afternoon to fix a leaky pipe under my kitchen sink. He was very helpful and personable. He fixed the issue in less than an hour and cleaned up the area too. My water heater went out and it was kinda to be expected it was over 25 yrs old. Called Roto Rooter because they have done all the plumbing in the house, Larry came out and gave a couple of options and the first to replace a part was not really going to resolve it due to age so it was replacing all the old stuff, he worked on that old heater while I worked because I work from home. He was so quite he finished up and cleaned up the utility room and the back patio you would have never known there was plumbing an water tanks and boxes all over. We live in an older house and we have been here for nearly 17 years. Up until now, we have never needed to use the services of a plumber. Our kitchen drain became clogged and the water just would NOT go down no matter what we tried. We finally gave in and decided we would have to call a plumber. We were expecting a high bill but were very pleasantly surprised. We thought the problem was going to be bigger than it was but the service tech knew exactly what needed to be done and it turned out not to be as bad as we thought. They responded quickly, the technician was knowledgeable and professional, and the charge was reasonable. We will definitely use Roto-Rooter again should we need a plumber again in the future.

Came home to find my basement drain had overflowed because of a clog.Both my wife and I led active very busy lives and don’t have time for something like this.Called Roto-Router spoke with an extremely helpful young lady who seemed to have a very good understanding of our lifestyle and was very eager to help me. She said she was going to see was available and would call me right back. Within ten 10 mins she informed me someone could be here within the hour.So relieved I thanked her and sure enough the most polite young man named BRENDEN 0092 showed up. He quickly ascertained the issue and went right to work. He took time to be our property was protected getting clog cleared took extra steps to ensure no further would occur anytime soon then politely Offering recommendations for products to help prevent this sort of issue in the future. I've reverted the rating from 3 stars to 5.Update 6/29/2021: I've scheduled a new service and was given a Window of 9-1 and it was not met and I've not been contacted about why or when a new time would have to be rescheduled. Ongoing service, charge, or timing issues continue with this company. Be aware.

The repair man came in a very timely manor. Extremely nice and efficient. He explained everything he was doing which surprised me. Most repair men don’t take the time to do that. This was my second time to use Roto Rooter and I wouldn’t think of calling anybody else now.

If anyone needs plumbing or drain service, the ONLY company to call is Roto Rooter. I've used them two times within the last three years and that speaks for itself. We had an issue with our basement drain backing up on Friday evening and a quick phone call that afternoon had Roto Rooter coming out the next morning to fix it. The staff over the phone was super friendly. And the technician, Mike, was one of the best I've ever had do work in our house. He was friendly, informative and diligent with his work. He made sure to explain everything, in detail, he was working on to try and solve the difficult puzzle that was my clogged drain. He helped me understand what the best decision was to fix my issue and the most cost effective, which is huge to me. On top of all of this, Mike made sure that he did everything he could to keep my house clean. Fixing a clogged drain is never a clean task, but Mike made sure to use tarp and be aware of the floors and carpet. Roto Rooter is the ONLY company to use to fix your plumbing and drain issues.

Overall very positive experience. The service tech Keith went above and beyond by stopping by the evening before hot water heater installation to start the water draining so it would be ready to go the next day. He was personable, efficient and went out of his way to make the installation as smooth as possible. I am very pleased with the service.

Unfortunately, our most recent experience was very poor. For the same issue we have had from time-to-time, suddenly the worker insists we need $500 procedure rather than the one Roto Rooter has recommended on several occasions. When we declined this different and almost twice as expensive procedure, and only after he finished, he then told us that because we chose the wrong procedure, the service would not be covered by the 6 month guarantee which has always covered it in the past. That's a handy way to up sell your customers, I suppose. But, I guess we no longer need to concern ourselves with this, because this did it for us. We will find a different service. - as of September 21, 2018*. * * * *. *. * *They always get someone out the same day. They're quick, effective, and redo at no charge if we have the same problem again within a certain period of time. On the other hand, a specific procedure that we have done from time to time went from $234 to $294 in one year. We sure aren't the beneficiaries of 25 to 30% raises, and I consider this an excessive increase.

I can’t say enough good things about the folks we worked with. We had a plumbing emergency in the evening, we had a plumber at our house in 45 minutes. And our plumber was great to work with and did a great job. 100% recommend!

Excellent experience. I had Pat come out and work on cleaning roots out of the outside line. Not only was knowledgeable but he was friendly and a very customer oriented technician. There were some mis-communications that led to them not having enough people and not being able to come out on the day that they had promised, which was frustrating. Each person took the time to explain what was really going on and what they needed to do and answered all of my questions. Overall it was a positive experience, despite the inconvenience.

Great service for sure. The serviceman was not only on time, but I was late coming home from work and he waited there until I got back. I never would have expected that these days. Cleared a clog in the toilet and stuck around to make sure that was the issue. When it wasn't the only issue, he fixed that as well and only charged for the second service. Friendly gentleman as well, easy to chat too. Little pricey even with the discount but I trust Roto Rooter and will always go with them.

We just moved into our new home and found our garbage disposal wan't working. We called Roto-Rooter and Robert came and fixed the issue in less than 30 minutes! He was very candid about pricing and educated me a bit on garbage disposals as a first-time homebuyer. Will be asking for him in the future!

I had my laundry line backup on Mother's Day, Roto got someone out with an hour to have my line cleaned and they provided me with instructions on how to use their solution monthly to prevent more issues like this from happening. Robert was amazing! He came out at short notice and installed a new dishwasher for us. He went above and beyond by helping us get the old one out and into the garage. We always experience great service from Roto-Rooter and they don't take advantage of a lack of knowledge about the services requested when it comes to pricing or 'extra charges'.

We called Roto-Rooter around 12:30 and the technician was at our house at 4. Not only did they come same day but also exactly on time. Matt (the technician) answered all of my 950 questions. He was SO knowledgable! He also completely fixed the problem. We can now use our dishwasher and sink for Monday night dinner. I rarely write reviews but I really felt compelled by this company's impeccable service to write one! Call them!

Jaz delivered the ordered pipe shield within 30 minutes of calling to notify me of the delivery as promised. Jaz was friendly and knowledgeable and completed the transaction accurately and promptly.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the completed work. However, given that the plumber was on site less than 3 hours, the charge of $1421 seems very excessive for a relatively simple repair. We discussed my concern and they agreed that I was improperly overcharged and we reached an agreement on an appropriate refund. I am very satisfied with the outcome.

Had a kitchen sink backup. Glenn Roeder #4588 was assigned to come out. He did a great job in explaining what was going on and then proceeded to unclog the drain. There was one thing that he said may be an issue, so he showed me what that was. Fortunately it did not become an issue. He worked quickly and cleaned up the area afterward. Our technician came at 8:00pm and was smiling and cheerful. He had plastic booties that he slipped over his work boots and was very tidy after he unclogged our shower drain in the master bath. Had a drain problem at 2pm . Called Rotorooter and by 3:15 TJ arrived to clean out the line and save the day for us. He was professional, pleasant and efficient. He did a great job and we appreciate the immediate response.

Bob was excellent! We called and he was at our house within 90 minutes to clean a clogged kitchen sink line. Bob wanted our business so badly he beat another competitor of Roto Rooter (who didn't call us to confirm they were on their way) to the front door! Bob was thorough, friendly, and cleaned up before he left. We would gladly do business with Bob and Roto Rooter again but hope we don't see him anytime soon!

Terrible people to do business with I keep making the mistake of calling roto rooter for anything plumbing related they come out inspect the problem and give you a ridiculous bid to fix it when you ask why the price is that they say it’s cause they’re professionals they’ve never actually fixed any problem I’ve had they just collect their trip fee and leave I call someone else they fix the problem without gouging on the price I’ve been waiting on a call from the Master plumber for a month Please don’t waste your time

The first tech that arrived was young and we doubted how much experience he had when he advised us that he couldn’t get the cap off the cleanout and would have to chisel it off. To the tech’s Credit, and RR, he advised us that we could have a Senior Tech come out to give us a second opinion about what to do. It was evident to us that Bob, the Senior Tech, was very experienced and very knowledgeable. He had to chisel off the brass cap but did it very quickly without damaging the threads. Bob did an excellent job cleaning out the kitchen drain line. I will be asking for Bob for any future Roto Rooter Service.

Roto Rooter did an excellent job installing my water heater! There was a bit of confusion around scheduling the appointment, but their manager worked to ensure a representative was sent out on the same day as scheduled to complete the service. The installer was very friendly and courteous and made sure to provide relevant details and information as needed while he was completing the installation. All things considered, very pleasant experience!

Three men came from Roto-rooter to clear a clogged basement drain. Two technicians--Mike and Tim--brought heavy-duty equipment and showed great skill in using it. Mike was exemplary, trying all the mechanical options, two hours of hard work, before he decided he had to schedule the water pressure guy, Tim, the next day.But before they came, Brandon came to try to upsell us on a complete $1500 clean up job. The area of overflow in the basement was relatively small and we did the job ourselves with bleach in less than an hour. It almost seemed like a scam, especially when he acted like he did not know what the clean-out alone would cost. I do not blame Brandon--he was a regular guy, just doing his job. I blame Roto-Rooter for inflated pricing and trying to guilt homeowners in a time of crisis into buying something that they could most often do themselves.

Mike did a great job helping us with our clog in our bathroom. He was very helpful, and he even taught us how to remove hair from our drains in the future. He was also very good with our pups - he called them his best helpers. Great, friendly service! I would absolutely recommend, Mike from Roto-Rooter.

My shower drains were backing up into each other. The technician, Nick #7337 was a Godsend. I had just been released from the hospital for open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve. I am extremely limited physically as I recover. Thanks to Nick, my showers are working properly. Worst scenario: Sick kid all night. Doing laundry cleanup. Main sewer line out of the house clogged and backed up into tubs and toilets. We had an absolutely horrible experience while calling in. We dealt with 2 very rude customer service reps. 1 told us there would be a tech here in a couple of hours, but never showed up. Had to reschedule for the next day. When i called to see what time the tech would be here i was told (with all attitude) we made a mistake and someone will be there between 2 and 4. Today we had James as our tech. He was amazing! He was extremely kind and so helpful. It was a long fix but he was so knowledgeable and kept us updated on what he was doing. He is the only good thing about this company.

Very pleased with my experience with Roto-Rooter today. They were able to get to my house within an hour of calling them. Derek was great in listening to my description of the problem and immediately getting to work with his trainee. They were professional, quick to solve the problem, and didn't leave a mess. The pricing felt a little high, but in the end I was just happy to have everything back to normal again.

I highly recommend Roto-Rooter! Our basement started backing up with sewage unexpectedly tonight and Matt, our service technician 3964, was just so amazing. Matt was able to come out the same night. He was very knowledgeable and professional throughout the whole process. Matt was able to immediately diagnose the problem and work on clearing out the clog. I really appreciated his explanations of what was causing our problems and advice on how to prevent future problems. I felt like all my questions and concerns were fully addressed before he left. We like using Roto-Rooter for our periodic plumbing needs. They come when they say they will, give you a firm price before beginning work, complete it quickly (and neatly!) and make sure it's all taken care of before they leave. I'd much rather have a skilled plumber and someone I'm not nervous to have in my home, than to just go with the cheapest company and whatever sketchy guy they send. This particular time, Carl was friendly and helpful and very professional.

Carl did an excellent job in completing the services needed to repair pipes, PVC rerouting, and toilet installation. His skills and professional manner are reflective of his personal and job performance abilities. Rotor Rooter schedules services in a timely manner as well as hiring service technicians/plumbers/professionals to ensure quality work.

Wife and myself were out of town while mom was at our house watching our dogs and 7 y/o and the main drain backed up and flooded basement. Called this company and they wouldn't give me any idea on cost what so ever to start. I preceded anyhow and they informed me they would be out within 4 hours. I informed mom. Mind you this is all taking place at 9p.m at night. This company calls back 30 minutes later to confirm address. Then calls back an hour after that (10:30) telling us the tech can't pull our address up in GPS and they would have to set up a different time on the following day. I said absolutely not. I came home the next morning and rented the equipment from a local hardware store for $50 and fixed it myself in 15 minutes. Don't waist your time or money with these incompetent fools.

We were very pleased with our experience with Roto-Rooter. The tech was able to unclog our floor drain within the hour that he arrive and also took the time to provide some tips on preventing our drains from getting clogged in the future. We would highly recommend using Roto-Rooter and will call them first the next time we have any issues.

I called Roto-Rooter at 3 pm. yesterday. They came and removed my toilet to save Minnie Mouse. I called four plumbers yesterday. One man only did larger jobs and he gave me another number, the number he gave me was out of service. .At 8 a.m. I called another company and left a message. At 3 p,m. I still had not heard from him. I called another company that could not make it out for two days. I called Roto-Rooter and within an hour a water damage assessor was at my house. Luckily I did not have water damage. The technician came about 5 and angered which did not work. He then removed the toilet and saved Minnie Mouse. I did not check value because all plumbers are expensive and difficult to find. Plumbers are in high demand. Kids, learn plumbing and save yourself many, many tears of student loans. My daughters are in deep with student loans. That's off the subject but in short, Roto-Rooter was fast, polite, and got the job done. Yes, I ordered a toilet lock to keep Minnie and her friends from jumping in again.

Mike and Travis were helpful and helped identify the issue we were having with our toilet backing up into our shower and floor drain in our laundry room. They were on time and explained what they were doing each step of the way and we’re able to provide recommendations so the issue doesn’t happen again.

I called Rotorooter around midnight one evening when I noticed water pooling in my basement during a heavy rain. I freaked out, and was pleasantly surprised to call and receive confirmation that someone would be available within the next half hour! The gentleman that arrived was kind, professional, and generous with his time and expertise. He went above and beyond in fixing the issue. He answered all of my questions, and made me feel like I was dealing with a someone that is trustworthy and professional. Thank you Rotorooter, my experience was excellent! I'll definitely be a returning customer.

I will not recommend Roto Rooter i paid for a 2 part service and only one job was completed. I have called and spoken with the main office multiple times and was told repeatedly that someone will be out to finish the job and never received a call. I have left over several messages still no response. Also overpriced. You can definitely find another company to do the job effectively.

Notifications should be more accurate, text message I received said they would arrive at 10:00 but he was there at 9:15. I’m glad we didn’t miss him (He was kind enough to wait for a few minutes). Gabby was quick, clean, and professional. He explained pricing and options clearly and I felt that everything was worth what was charged. Our root intrusion will likely need regular maintenance so we will definitely be asking for Gabby again (if he’s not in charge of everything by then, seriously give this man a raise).

Last time I used Roto Rooter a year ago, I had excellent service. The technician was thorough, he wore all the PPE that was advertised, he had everything he needed, and the price seemed fair. Today, the technician showed up with no PPE. He saw me wearing a mask and asked if I wanted him to wear one; I said I'd prefer that. He had to go back to his truck to get it. He asked me for a bowl to use while he was cleaning the drains and he asked for a roll of paper towels as well. In my opinion, for 500 dollars the technician should be wearing proper PPE to protect the client and should have all of his own materials.He was nice and did an average/satisfactory job that was way over-priced.

They were able to send someone very quickly and everyone was nice and helpful over the phone. The plumber that came did a good job in terms of replacing our kitchen sink faucet. He was knowledgeable, quick and nice. However the cost was outrageous. He took about 30 mins to replace the faucet and charged $435!!! I was shocked at the price. Seemed like a straight forward , easy job. Not his fault but I think this company is pretty expensive. Would do my homework regarding pricing before I call anyone next time.

I went to my basement at 1 in the morning to find inches of standing water. I called, they answered and sent someone out right away. Liam was there within half an hour, fixed the problem, and helped me with the next steps, all in the middle of the night. Great company, highly recommend!

Terrible terrible business that grossly overcharges. I was charged $120 for a $50 part then $480 for less than an hour of work.

The service was very good. We were in a rush to get the drip in the bathtub fixed after my husband’s mother passed away. We were quite shocked that the minimum charge was around $380, and if I had been informed when I called I would have probably kept looking, but needed to get it done. The person that fixed the leak did do a good job and was very polite.

Kevin was fantastic. He arrived quickly, fixed the issue quickly, treated the house with respect, and was very nice to work with!

I received excellent service from Roto-Rooter in fixing a leak under our sink. They were quick to answer, scheduled a technician visit in less than 2 minutes and the plumber was here within about 90 minutes of me calling. The technician(plumber) Chris was courteous, pleasant, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Plus, I was able to use a coupon I had received in the mail. I was completely satisfied with the service and work.

Our plumber Mike #6602 was able to get out here on the same day we called. He found massive roots in our drain and he wasn't able to clear all of them out but he told us of a program with the county and they came out, dug up the front yard, and replaced a large section of the main drain for free and all of this completed within a span of a week. Roto rooter definitely came to our rescue on this job. Thanks again for the great service!

Had to have them out on a Saturday. Charles came out sooner than the time frame the dispatcher provided and he got right to work. He had two drain lines clean in about an hour. He is knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend Roto Rooter to anyone with drain problems.

Setting up the appointment with the call center they set the appointment so they assured me the person would be there within the appointment time never got a call back appointment time came and I called them they said they didn't have no one available would be another hour and a half to 2 hours nobody showed up I called them back had to reschedule the service for the next morning was really displeased with the call service center. However once the technician did arrive everything went smoothly he took his time did his job well and he was courteous and polite couldn't be more pleased with the technician

We've had a rough start to 2018 and one of the components was our kitchen faucet leaking. I called on Saturday morning (around 9:00) and the project was completed by 4:30 PM the same day! Our toddler was sleeping and we also have a newborn, and Carl came in and worked swiftly and quietly (as quietly as possible, anyway). The pipe setup was a mess but he engineered effective solutions to the issues. He was friendly and competent, and although it's never fun to have home issues, it's made easier knowing it has been resolved by true professionals. We called Roto Rooter after business hours for an emergency and they were able to send a tech out within the hour at no extra charge. The techs were patient and answered all of my questions and concerns. They made a stressful situation manageable and I would use their service again in the future.

The primary concerns for us was to unclog a toilet in one bathroom and then look att the other toilet to determine the reason for the slow leaks sounds.The plumber James Moody was honest enough to advise replacing the toilet in the bathroom with the slow leak rather than replace parts piecemeal due to the age of the toilet. The other toilet had blockages but it did take him very long to open the line. If we need any future plumbing jobs from this company I hope I am assigned to James since he took the time explain the risks , benefits and expectations of service and also presented helpful options.

Kevin was great! He assessed the situation, explained the costs to me, I approved of the charges and he got to work right away to unclog our drain and replace the garbage disposal.

Service was in a rental unit. Appears to have gone well but I felt the price was way too high for the task, given that I bought the replacement which was the same model and size. No re-working of plumbing was required. Simple, straightforward replacement.

Matt (-3964) and Brandon (he was in training) responded quickly and worked fast to help save a flooding basement. They worked efficiently to remove debris from a basement drain and also stayed to clean up a muddy mess on the basement floor. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars is because the pricing of Roto-Rooter was more expensive than other local companies. I had an appointment with another company on Friday, which was half the price, but the problem couldn't wait. Five stars for the service and convenience of having a 24/7 company around for issues like this!

We had a sewer backup coming up from the unfinished basement floor drain. Roto-Rooter technician Glenn showed up quickly, was extremely thorough, helpful and professional, cleared the backup and cleaned the lateral line with help of a scope and snake-blades. Couldn't have asked for better service.

Communication was great, they had an opening so service was a day early. Plumber talked to us about everything -even that he was going to truck to look for cartridge and if he didn't have one I would see him leaving, but he'd just be going to store and would return with part.

the plumber was friendly and did great work. however a few things to mention. 1. the bill isnt itemized it's summary of service. 2. after given the price it was mentioned that a new piece was going to be install. i declined and wanted the original piece to be kept. that didnt change the price. 3. mr plumber had to leave twice to get 2 pieces for the repair.total leave time was 1 hr ( for a custom cut < 3ft pipe, and maybe caulking)30 min for bill explanation and payment.total on site work time 2 hourswas i paying 450$ per hr and 50$ for the pipe and 50$ for maybe caulk?thank goodness the 69$ fee for the plumber to show up was waived for same day service and there was a 75$ coupon added too.mr plumber mentioned an inspector needs to come look at the finished product. i only need to show him this picture attached to this review. To your inconvenience due to specific times the inspector can only show up without any notice on expected arrival.

I was very pleased with the service...I have used Roto Rooter on both rental properties and my own residence. Every time they were timely and got the job done. I would definitely recommend this company for plumbing purposes. It’s great having a company that you can rely on.

My experience with roto rooter has been prompt, helpful, and friendly, which is so nice when you're stressed out in a one-bathroom household. The fact that they call when they're close let me get my errands done, and once Chris got here, he was efficient and up-front with an accurate estimate. The price can be tough for a student on a budget, but you absolutely get what you pay for, and I'm very satisfied.

My floor drains were backing up in basement. The first tech found the reason why but was unable to clear the pipes. Thankfully he had been at my house a few weeks before and was familiar with the situation. A second tech came out the next day with different equipment and was able to clear the drains,and advised me on me on why the clogs were occurring. Both techs were very helpful and courteous, and did what it took to take care of the problem

This was the best experience I have ever had with a plumbing issue! I was out of town and their service technician took care of this problem for me (at one of my rental properties) and all without me being on site. Charles (5498) with Roto-Rooter came out and immediately recognized our problem, explained how it would be fixed and how long the process would take. Also, explained how we can prevent issues with our main pipes clogging and ways we can check ourselves to make sure everything is working right. Staff worked really hard to get a technician out to address the sewer backup. They followed up throughout the wait. The technician was professional and friendly. He explained the process and was respectful of my home.

After the torrential rains over the past week+, our sump pump failed and was at the point of spilling over into our basement. We had an appointment scheduled with another company, but they couldn't come out for another 24 hours, and we were at a crisis point (hauling buckets of water from the sump pump and dumping it ourselves so it wouldn't flood our basement). I called Roto-Rooter first thing in the morning, and they sent a technician out to us within two hours. Our technician, Brendan, was super kind, and he explained everything to us before and after the new sump pump was installed.I can now sleep easier knowing we have a pump that works! Highly recommend them!

Allen was very helpful and professional. He diligently broke the details of my situation and honestly helped me. I had 2 other name brand companies lie to me. One quoted me $7,000 and the other quoted $2500-5000. In less than an hour Allen had my sewer drain pipe unclogged and flowing again. I had been having plumbing issues for a little over a month in my new house. I had warranty plumbers come out twice and the problem seemed to be fixed only temporarily. Finally I decided to try someone else. I couldn’t be happier with the service and dedication to fixing my plumbing issues. The tech spent 3 hours working on getting my plumbing clear and sludge removed from my floor drain. He called fellow techs for assistance over the phone to talk out what problems they could be. Finally the issue had been resolved and I was impressed not only with the professionalism, but the dedication. The previous plumbers seemed to give up rather easily and just hope it worked. Roto Rooter actually stuck to it until they knew it was resolved. I would definetly use again if ever needed and recommend.

I booked Roto Router on Sunday afternoon to snake out my lateral at a rental property 16 miles away. I was told it would be a 4hr window from 4-8pm. Roto Router called a couple of hours later and canceled. However, they offered me Monday morning. My response was great and this is where the problems started: I placed a 6 calls to Roto Router no one called me from Roto Router except to tell me that the plumbing technician couldn't find me.I won't go into the complete detail but, do to the information and lack of information. I wasted 4 plus hours of a work day, sitting my car and missing lunch. All of which could have been avoided dispatchers had not mishandled the situation.Then the technician quoted $555. for a 15 minute snake out.If it wasn't for the plumbing technician (Tim, who was good, pleasant and efficient) Roto Router wouldn't be getting the ONE STAR.You can also see my review on my Facebook page posted to my 4,300 followers.

Our water softener made our water bill more than double because it wouldn't stop running. On Saturday I requested an appointment for the following Monday, I couldn't believe how fast they got us on the schedule!!! Our Tech Joe showed up on time, he was efficient and friendly. I would for sure use Roto-Rooter again!

Patrick arrived in a very timely manner. He went right to work. Our drain was cleared in a short time. He gave us several great suggestions to prevent having the same issue. He reviewed the guarantee and cleaned up after himself. We were very pleased with his service.

I hope this is the correct place to leave this, but I had to let folks know about our incredible experience. Our kitchen sinks started backing up late night on the Friday before Christmas. We knew that from past experience, calling Roto-Rooter was the only choice. We got quick response, but while trying to clear the pipes, more problems developed and it was discovered that we needed a plumber. I'm sorry I didn't get the gentleman's name that came to help us that night. He was excellent and informative. He even discovered a leak from our first floor toilet that we had not noticed. Unfortunately, the next day we had snow and ice. There was a shortage of plumbers because of the holiday and weather, but Kyle #1451 still came in after a long day to check things out. The project was more than he could handle that evening, but he volunteered to come in on his day off (Christmas Eve) to get us up and running, then come back after Christmas to replace some metal pipes that were causing the repeat problem. We had family in town and we were so thankful. He did an amazing job, was friendly and helpful with great advice. Christmas dinner was saved, future problems hopefully averted, and we owe it all to Kyle for disrupting his family time to make ours a success. We will always call Roto-Rooter.

Called around 2:30 PM on a Saturday, and they gave the next appointment as a 3-7 window. They called around 6:30 to say the tech was running behind and it would be a bit later. They called again around 8 to say the tech's van broke down and they were sending another out as soon as he was done with his current job, but he was also a good 30-40 minutes away from our location. We decided at 8:30 to just cancel and reschedule for tomorrow since we had stopped the flooding. Rescheduled next day for 10-2 and the guy showed up at 1.Ken was great and found our problem right away. Broke down the costs for us and explained a few things. He always answered our questions thoroughly. He worked quickly and unclogged our drain in no time.I appreciate the updates from the call center in regards to when someone was coming out, was just bad luck we had to reschedule. Ken was great overall. As for cost, I feel the bill could have been a little cheaper.

We've always had a great experience with the local Roto-Rooter. Folks that come out are always so nice and willing to explain the problem. No upselling either, which I always fear from bigger companies. Today Robert Johnson came to our home and fixed a cracked plumbing joint. Very friendly and efficient, I'd call him again.

This company is quick to help you with the issue especially on the weekend. The tech Nick was punctual along with considerate by putting on booties. We discussed the issue and he was very sensitive to the problem I was having as he could see I was upset in a tizzy. Nick was kind, informative with my questions and supplying answers. On top of it snowing outside, very professional and personable to the customers problem. Great asset to you company KUDOS BIG TIME TO NICK!

After poor experiences through our home warranty, Shawn and Dave at Roto-Rooter went above and beyond our expectations, displaying excellent professionalism in their communication and expertise navigating a significant amount of plumbing repairs.Total cost was below what was estimated from our home warranty contractor and we could not be more pleased with our service.

I called on 5/31/16 regarding a basement drain that seemed to have a problem - we thought it must be clogged since we were getting some (not major) water burping out of it. I was told that a technician would be out that afternoon and was very pleased that they could come out so quickly.However, after 2 calls telling me that the technician would be delayed 45-60 minutes, I told them to move me to the next day, because I had things to do after work - by then it was after 3 pm.Today, 6/1, Michael arrived after I had been notified that he would be about 30-40 minutes. It was not early in the afternoon as I had been told the day previous, but it was mid afternoon, and still met my schedule requirements. Michael was analytical, and didn't try to oversell me regarding snaking a drain that maybe didn't need it after we couldn't replicate the issue that I had called about. I chose to snake it anyway, and the standing water level went down, indicating a partial blockage. I'm glad to pay the cost to eliminate a partial blockage rather than waiting until a major one occurs. Very pleased with Mike, who gave me additional advice on some faucets in the basement that were leaking and advised against using the garbage disposal - in that it is not good for the house plumbing in the long run. Though I hope I don't have to, I'd certainly have him back for related issues in a heartbeat. He was courteous and considerate of my new flooring with his equipment as well. Bravo!

Bob was on time, quick and personable. We needed to have a journeyman come out for our city plumbing and he was able to fit us in quickly to fix the leak in our outdoor faucet. He worked with us to find a solution that was best for our home and financial situation, and even gave us some options for potential changes in the future. Will be using Toto-rooter from here on out for all our plumbing needs.

The technician *(Terry- 5895) was great! he came right away, was very knowledgeable, kind, and speedy. He got our pipes cleaned right away, and did a great job communicating with us about what the problem was. Highly recommend!

Nick was great. Again, friendly and very informative. I had several questions about future services to keep things in working order and Nick had good suggestions moving forward.They were running a late, but that was really only an inconvenience to my cats who wanted to get to the basement. The jet cleaning units are not as numerous so they're pretty busy I understand.

We suspected the buried black tubing connected to our downspout on our house was clogged, and had trouble finding someone to come unclog it. Everyone we called said they cleaned downspouts, but not the buried portion. When we finally called Roto-Rooter said they could send someone to our house to check it out. They offered same day service, but we opted for the next day. They gave us a 4 hour window of when to expect someone. They updated us during that time, to reassure us they would have someone to our house during the time promised. Sure enough, Gabby (3378) called when he was on his way, well within the time window. Gabby and Nick (6074) arrived and we discussed the problem. They gave their recommendation for a solution and got to work. They were very friendly, polite and professional. We will definitely call again, if needed.

He came out and we ended up not being able to run the pipe cleaning because there was another issue (electricity somehow in my water pipe?). Let me know how to contact the city about it, was very helpful and explained everything really clearly.

Basement drain backing up. Called and set up appointment . Plumber showed up at the beginning of the time frame they gave me. Told him the issue and he explained what he was going to do and he got after it. He got the roots out and water flowing again. Even did a nice job cleaning up the work area!Very happy with your service.

They did a good job and explained everything they were doing. They were also very nice and well mannered. They explained the price up front. It would’ve been nice if you had financing for seniors on a limited budget since it was a high price . They cleaned out a clog.

$600 for labor is insane. And the receipt literally says “labor”. I asked for an itemized receipt so that I wouldn’t feel robbed to which I was told it would be emailed to me…. Still haven’t received it. So I feel taken advantage of.In response to my above post, Roto-Rooter immediately contacted me and addressed the situation. For a cable in my clogged toliet pipe it was $700 and he only spent 45 minutes there. They were unclear about how they charge, if it were hourly or by service. It was way too expensive.

Plumber was very efficient and helpful. Thankfully my repair was not as significant as it could have been. That said, the repair charges were more than I expected and I was told that I could not use the coupon published on the Company's website since the repair was a quick fix. I'm happy with the service, but the value for the money was poor.

Call and they dispatch someone within fifteen minute. The service person called, I missed the call and called back, the person showed up in 30 minute. Evaluated the problem, quoted a price that was reasonable plus I received a discount because of a coupon Roto- Rooter was offering. He was professional and courtesy and done a great, great job in a short of time.

TJ was fantastic-super knowledgeable and really helpful. He explained the problem with our water heater, answered my million questions I had, and gave helpful recommendations on future repairs/purchases. He was one of the most helpful technicians that has ever been in our home.

Update: a week later and the drain in our basement was backing up again. Brenden came out to address the situation this time, and he was also very polite and personable! He cleared a blockage that was in the line towards the house. It was covered under warranty, so this was at no charge to us! Wishing that this could have been done the first time but the problem is no longer and that is what matters to us! Thanks Brenden!Aaron, I believe was his name, was very polite and respectful. He was able to tell me what was wrong within seconds of seeing the mess. He was professional and took his time. He went out to clear the main line in our backyard that the kids had filled with mud and toys.

l like using Roto-Rooter for our periodic plumbing needs. They come when they say they will, give you a firm price before beginning work, complete it quickly (and neatly!) and make sure it's all taken care of before they leave. I'd much rather have a skilled plumber and someone I'm not nervous to have in my home. This particular time, Eric was friendly and helpful and very professional. I recommend them for your plumbing needs.

The plumber got the job done and was polite. The water treatment person was rude and never even sent me a quote after his inspection. I'd only them for my plumbing needs in the future.

I had preventative drain cleaning of my main sewer line today. It was easy to make an appointment and Keith the technician arrived on time. He was pleasant knowledgeable and professional. He did a great job and even left the basement area cleaner than it was! What makes my review high is that I made the mistake of calling another plumbing company for the same purpose about a year ago. That technician was not friendly and acted like he did not really want to do the job. He did not take long and told me that he could not snake out very far beyond a few yards and I most likely had an obstruction. Keith on the other hand took his time almost double what the last plumber took and explained to me that he had cleared out to the end and did not see any other issues. I like the guarantee that Roto-rooter offered and will ask for Keith the next time I need service. Would surely recommend both the technician and the company.

Sewer backup/clean-up - the cleanup crew was professional, timely and provided great service, however, the follow up was terrible, person who wanted to check on the job afterwards was rude and highly unprofessional telling me I was in the wrong on the appointment time…REALLY? I had to take time off during the work day to come home to meet this person at the agreed upon time, waited over 2 hours but they did NOT show up and to find out he was sitting in his car in front of my house, and he came to the door after I left to go back to work according to my security cameras… I’m out $$ being away from work and to get a nasty email from him telling me I’m in the wrong… NEVER would I treat a customer with such disrespect nor will I put up with that type of treatment… I hope this is not the normal employee that handles ROTO ROOTERS follow up service… as I give this the worst possible negative rating and will share this experience with all

Nobody is happy when home issues pop up, like a clogged sink, but our experience calling Roto-Rooter was a silver lining. Patrick (0640) came within hours of our call and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He explained our options and helped us to not only fix the problem at hand but how to keep it from happening again! Pat was not at all bothered by me watching the process and answered all of my questions as he worked. He even made friends with my dogs. It was one of the most professional service calls that I have ever had and the fact that he is a super nice human made it that much better.

We called Roto Rooter for a yearly maintenance of the main pipe line and they sent Mike. We have always had a great experience with their services and this time was no different. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable. He explain what he was doing and did the job quickly. I will make sure to ask for Mike next time we need their services again. Thanks!

Nick came out in the late evening and fixed the issue we had very quickly. He gave us some pointers on a few things he saw that could be issues and cause more issues later on. He also informed me of a program my town has to help reimburse expenses for plumbing repairs. Overall, great service. I'd recommend this company, and Nick to anyone.

We had some sewage backup through our floor drain in the basement. Within 2 hours Dal was here and assessed the issue and began to work. Extremely professional and knowledgeable. Dal found out that the issue was seemingly with MSD lines, and that ours are free and clear. We were able to move onto the next step with assurance our lines are clear. He showed concern and was prompt with everything. Customer service couldn’t have been better, thanks Dal!

It was easy to book my appointment online and i was able to get same day service for my need. Technician was knowledgeable and thorough with the job he performed and was kind and courteous through the job and made sure to explain to me what he was doing during the whole process. Most importantly the job was completed correctly and in a timely fashion.

When our basement started backing up after a large amount of rain and melting snow, we called around for a plumber. Many places were already booked for the next 3 days, but Roto Rooter in St. Louis was available within 24 hours. I took a star away because they originally told me they would be there the same day, but due to the high call volume, they ended up not making it over until the next day. I understand the high demand, but I wish their time estimate would have been a little more accurate. Once they made it over, they were in and out in less than an hour, and they did compensate me for the hassle of waiting around the day before.

Roto-rooter was able to solve our plumbing problem efficiently on a Sunday, which was a lifesaver. Robert Johnson provided excellent service while tending to our toilet problem. We also discovered that our water pressure was elevated that day. Robert came back a few days later and fixed the second issue with professionalism and provided an understandable explanation about the work he was doing. Thanks so much! We will use Roto-rooter and request Robert Johnson again!

It was Easter Sunday, company coming and a backed up sewer. Roto-Rooter was the only company that answered their phone. The lady was very pleasant and said she could have someone out here within a couple of hours! She said they would call or text me when they were on their way. The phone rang and said he was on his way.(as promised) ( less than 2 hours. ) Ian, our tech #9061 was here and in no time and had the clog fixed and the party started without a hitch. Thank you

Roto-Rooter has always done a fantastic job for us for various jobs we have hired them for. Everyone is super nice, on time, good clean work, etc. I will as always call them again for our next emergency.

Nick (Tech#7337) came out late in the evening and did excellent and efficient work. He was incredibly informative about the issues causing the problems and offered multiple solutions and preventative care techniques to keep things running smoothly. Making an appointment was easy and I was notified 30 minutes before Steve arrived at my house. Steve was professional and efficient. He assessed the situation and got right to work. Going the extra mile, he suggested strategies to help preserve the work he did and explained the root growing process in layman terms.
