No, no, a thousand times no. Hired them to clear my drains after a plumber found water in my drain. The tech snakes out my lines and left a huge mess. When I asked if he was done, he said yes and I asked him to clean up the mess. He was hesitant to say the least. Called the receptionist about this mess issue and no response. A few months later the drain backed up and called another company. New company found he did not do his job at all and was not thorough. Called gateway and the service manager returned my call to talk to me and then promised to call back. No response. Hire them if you want to burn $130. Or I can light it for you.

I have used Gateway several times, always very professional. Up front with what is needed. Very fare with cost. I would recommend them to anyone.

The plumber showed up over an hour past the four hour window they had given us. He was disgustingly dirty (soiled shirt and smelly): he kept saying he couldn’t smell what we were smelling because he smelled that way himself. He could not find the problem and told us we needed a smoke test. He said someone would call us to schedule that. It’s been over a week and no one has called. They were efficient in their collection of our money and that’s all.

Had a blockage on my main sewer line. They came out, assessed the issue, and had us fixed and up and running in less than 90 mins. Did a great job, will use again.

This is the most unprofessional company in the world. They sent out someone to my house who caused more damages to my shower. When I called to complain, the rep talked over me and requested the job to be reassigned to someone else. Literally the worse customer service and company In the world. STAY FAR AWAY!!!

Called for simple shower drain clog and the proceeded to break shower and not fix clog or repair what they broke and charged more time than they were at house.

Had a main line back up in the basement. Jason was VERY professional, knew exactly what to do, got it done and gave me many suggestions to help to avoid constant issues. I highly recommend this company. They will be my go to from now on.

Cody came in ready to work, scoped out the situation immediately, wasted no time, got out the machine and went to work. He actually solved the problem within 15 minutes. I am so relieved to get to fixed. It was a smelly mess in my basement.

Very professional fast quick service

Our service window was noon to 4:00, and our technician showed up right at noon (the office called ahead to let us know he was on his way). Caleb did a great job fixing our slow-draining bathroom sink. He was friendly and efficient, and the cost was reasonable.

I would not recommend them. They cleaned out a line for me and it clogged back up 41 days later. Contractor #2 came out and said it looked like all they did was poke a hole in the clogg to get things moving and didn’t clean it out. That part is fine - not backing your work is where my issue is. There are better companies out there

I called Saturday at 4pm with sewer backup problems. I called a couple other places that couldn't help until the next day. They were out within 1 hour and were very reasonable with the $$. All fixed in 1 hour with a 30 day guarantee. Very happy!!

They did a great job jet-flushing out our main sewer line when it was clogged with sludge and their price was the best value in town.

We have had 3 sewer companies out to our house in the last year. Gateway came recommended by our plumber and another sewer company. They were professional, responsive, and listened carefully to our problems. The tech was very knowledgeable, clean, and did not make a mess of our house as other sewer companies had. He talked through everything with us and only performed the service we needed for a reasonable price (it was much lower than the estimate on the phone), he didn’t try to upsell us on work we didn’t need. Finally, we’ve found a good company we can rely on for sewer work!!!

I am so glad these guys were recommended to me. I've used them a handful of times now and each time they've responded quickly and all techs that I've met were professional and efficient, not to mention they don't rake you over the coals on the invoice. I'm a commercial property manager and these guys have my business exclusively now. Make Gateway your 1st call!

Great service and great people

Showed up within 2 hours of calling, unclogged my main drain. Was very friendly and knowledgeable. Cleaned up the mess afterward all within the hour

John came out to snake the septic line. He was on time, friendly, helpful and courteous! Would recommend Gateway to anyone!

Had a sewer backup in May 2022, they came out right away and cleared the blockage but it backed up again about 37 days later so I fell outside the 30 day warranty. I was given a bit of a discount but come on. It’s an 75+ year old house with two adults who don’t flush things that don’t belong in the sewer. The second time they came out they said I should have a jet cleaning for sludge and they would call me. No call came, so I called them a few weeks later and had to leave a message. No call back again. I’m done with them. The guys that came out were professional and respectful.

I had a backup in my basement, and called late Thursday night. I was told they would be there the next morning (today). They called in advance and arrived around 8 am. John (JD) did an awesome job clearing the drain. He was prompt, efficient, and he gave me pointers to prevent future backups. I highly recommend this company and John!

Have been using about 6 years to clear tree roots from mainline. Are prompt, effective, reasonably priced!

I agree with all the other bad reviews, the company was very quick to get their money upfront - but when you needed to get the camera footage & documentation from them, they dragged their feet & waited almost 3 weeks to give me critical documents to close on a property. I practically had to call everyday to get 2 documents! This is unacceptable & completely unprofessional. There are so many better companies that actually care about their own customer’s deadlines. Highly advise NOT using them as I will never use them again.

Scheduled a visit from them last week to come out Tuesday and mark the sewer and drain in the basement as I have foundation work being done tomorrow. Here I am at 12 noon calling them as no one has showed up in the 8 AM - 12 PM window, turns out they are not even scheduled to come out today, they instead scheduled it for Wednesday. Canceled appointment, won't call again.

Also this caused the me to reschedule with the foundation company coming to do the work.

Service Technician went out of his way to help elderly neighbors find source of sewer odor. The problem ended up being unused bathroom dry drains. Very knowledgeable and efficient.

Did a great job clearing out the sewer line via roof stack pipe. Also gave good advice on what to do long-term with the issue.

I wouldn't use them ever again. Charged me $130 as a disabled veteran on a limited income and didn't even work on or fix anything, just came out and spent 10 minutes to diagnose an issue and didn't even really do that. What kind of service is that?! I can understand if you actually work or fix something. But to not even do any work or fix anything and charge someone $130 dollars is despicable. Find someone else because these guys will rip you off. They aren't even worthy of one star.

If I could give no stars than I would. We will never use this company again! They tried to diagnose an issue with our main drain and flooded our basement in the process. Then left us with a massive mess in our basement and no way to clean it up. Management said that it was our problem although there was no flooding when they arrive! Very poor service and management had no resolution for us. Charged us $150 for less than an hour of work and left us with a massive mess to clean up.

Poor receptionist. I called this company and a receptionist named Tasha (if I'm not mistaken) answered. I asked her to come over for sewer and drain cleaning because the water came up out of the drains in our three bathrooms. She asked me when I need them. I said as soon as possible, like right now then she said SURE, WE WILL CALL WHEN WE COME. I was like Okay... After two hours, I called her again asking if they're on the way. This nice and kind Tasha lady told me this legendary sentence again, WE WILL CALL WHEN WE COME. There was a three-second pause between us and I said Oh okay... and I hung up the phone. After three hours, we close at 6 pm and it was almost 5 pm. I had my coworker call this lady to tell them to come over tomorrow otherwise I had to stay until this plumbing company comes in. When my coworker was talking to Tasha, she said it wasn't her taking my call in the first place and also I didn't give her a specific time to come. Right, I didn't give her specific time but when I said ASAP and right now, doesn't it sound emergency to you?

Anyway we called a different company, Roto-Rooter, and they came in right away when we said RIGHT NOW. So Roto-Rooter guy got this fixed within 20 mins.

The funny thing is a guy from Gateway Sewer and Drain just came in my office next day morning asking if I needed help. So I said I thought you were going to call me when you come then this guy said Tasha must be busy.

Call and ask Tasha if this is a real story or not.

Gateway came to our house to snake out and unclog a drain. The technician went into the basement to snake out the stack. Afterwards, he hooked up a hose to an old, non-functioning faucet without our knowledge and without advising us he planned to do so. It created a leak. Instead of reporting the leak, the technician left. We later discovered it dripping all over the floor. Gateway claims the leak is not their responsibility. The service manager (Brian) was rude and aggressive when I tried to discuss with him. Furthermore, Gateway was dishonest with the Better Business Bureau and claimed we were present when their technician hooked up the hose. In other words, they lied. This company cannot be trusted.

If I can give a 0 rating I would.

Called on Friday at 1pm for a service job, I was already told that it was would be an over time job, I don't mind paying for a good service.

The tech picked the farthest part of the budling to start snaking the line. When the clog was between the closest part of the building to the clean out.

He wasted nothing but time while trying that.

After few attempts, he was unsuccessful. He called his service manager, and was told to continue trying.

After he got off the call with his service manager, he cursed him out and mentioned how much he hated his job.

He tried for another 2 hours. He was able to partially open the drain.

After spending $950, the drains are clogged again within 12 hours of the job and now they want to charge me $500 / hr with 2 hr minimum for hydro jetting

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They say they are cheap compared to other companies, well there is a reason for that...not once but twice had to have them called ($200) each time, and said they fixed the problem. When asked why they drain backed up I was told some bs excuse that my pipes “were in rough shape” and because of this could not get a camera down there to find my clean out. This wasn’t true at all!!! When I called the second plumber who came out, he basically said that I would need to repair my pipes under the house in order to stop it. FALSE! I called a different company who was recommended by a friend and he came out today, flushed everything out, got a camera in there, and you know what? FOUND THE CLEAN OUT! Imagine that, pipes are in good shape and the problem is now fixed. AGAIN, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Terrible service. They misdiagnose my clog, never finished the work and still charged me significantly more than the competitors

Ron showed up on time, diagnosed the problem with our main line and got everything running smoothly. Nice to deal with a company that takes pride in customer service.

Jim did a great job cabling and providing a video of a sewer lateral for me. After the fact he was willing to get on the phone and walk me through what he saw since I wasn't onsite during the cabling and video. He provided me very useful information and a great video that was used by other plumbers to provide a quote for the repair. I'd highly recommend Gateway and Jim.

David came out was super professional and took the time to explain as well as answer any questions. Had our drain unclogged in no time. Would definitely use again if needed. Thanks a bunch!
