I have worked with Dustin twice. First he replaced my faulty water heater, the second time he replaced my faulty toilet. Dustin was able to replace both items very quickly (same day) and for a great price. Not only did they fit me into their schedule for the day(I received same day service) they were informative on what caused my problem and how to prevent it in the future. Definitely recommended. I called after I had struggled to get through to and schedule a well-known plumber whom a friend recommended, pretty concerned because water was gushing up out of my front yard (think artesian well) and creating a waterfall into the storm drain, & sweeping huge amounts of sediment into the creek on my property line, despite my efforts to control it, shut off water to my house, contact the city, etc. (As a water scientist, the creek part bothered me, but also, of course, I was afraid I was running up a huge water bill.) Jayk's answered promptly and came right out. The poor guy who got stuck with the job (might have been Louis, but this was a year or two ago, and I forget) neatly and persistently dug out probably a few cubic meters of my front yard (and didn't even kill the plants in my straggly garden like the AT&T cable-laying folks did in the same area) with a shovel, in what I remember to be rather intense heat, and remained calm and good-natured through the whole ordeal. By exposing the pipes (and which way the water was flowing, via which holes continued to gush), he was able to demonstrate that the water was coming not from pipes that belonged to me, but from a city water main with an unusual bend into my yard. (Under, or at least nearer the street is normal.) The folks at Jayk's charged me a ridiculously low price for this service (way less than usual for a plumber; can't have covered their expenditures) because they hadn't been able to actually solve the problem; they can't mess with the city's pipes. However, Jayk's gave me the evidence I needed to persuade the city government to check their maps, realize that I actually did have a city water main in my yard, and send out a team to fix it, which was an entertaining production involving five or six jolly guys and a backhoe, but only about twice as much earth movement as that one guy from Jayk's did on his own by hand. Remarkable.

Excellent service. Called on a Saturday at 1pm and plumber here by 5. Joseph was first class. Evaluated and provided estimate on the spot. Picked up the parts needed and finished quickly. Asked if anything else needed looking at and had him replace the toilet valve. Offered to inspect the hot water heater and provided his evaluation. Could not be more satisfied. Will spread the word to others about this company and staff.

Golden Rule Plumbing was professional and efficient in tackling a complicated job at my house. Several unexpected issues arose and they solved every problem quickly and creatively. I am certain that most plumbers would never have been able to get this job done, and was very impressed with the quality of work. These are honest, talented, and affordable plumbers.

Came home from vacation and no heat. Called Weather Master at 8am and Scottie was here by about noon. Thorough, professional, easy to understand what was happening and most importantly, FIXED all in the same call. I had a great experience having Eugene install a pressure regulating valve, a whole house water filter, and a new water heater. He is good-natured and it is obvious that he takes pride in his work.

When I first called Eugene to get a quote for replacing our old water heater, he took the time to have a conversation with me to understand what was going on. A leaking temperature and pressure value was likely caused by overly high water pressure, and fixing the pressure should be my first priority. I decided to go ahead and replace the water heater as well, since it was over its service life, but Eugene discussed the option of waiting on that with me as well. If I had gone with the other plumbing shop that I had also contacted instead, my new water heater likely would have developed the same issue as the old one, because the root issue would not have been fixed. (And the other plumbing shop's rates were similar.)

In addition to doing top-notch work, Eugene was friendly and easy to work with. We mostly communicated via text. There was a bit of waiting to get the initial quote back, but it was worth it. I was able to get on his schedule within a week from when I had the supplies (water filter housing I was supplying). When the big day came, Eugene and his assistant worked diligently for several hours to get the job done. It turned out I should have also bought a special bracket, but Eugene found an alternative way to attach the filter housing with supplies he had on hand. Eugene also gave me some free advice about a shower drain when he was over. I hope to work with him again in the future!
