I contacted Weather Master (HVAC) because they are listed as contractors used by my home builders. Within 1 year we started having cooling problems, and when reported to builder they sent weather master and Weather master technician claimed that flaps needed to be adjusted . We noticed same problem again and reported to Weather Master directly, since house is not under builder's warranty after 1 yr. Technician came up with bill of $1690.00. When questioned about why this was not properly diagnosed in year 1, Lamore ( phone agent) promised that she will check with her boss and come back. Till to-date she has not. Now I am dealing with coil breakage/leakage on a less than 4 yr old brand new house. When upsets me more is that this issue was reported under 1 yr.Here are charge details:Leak Detection- Electronic Leak Detector: $225.60Then they charged told me additional charge to repair for 1691.14. So total: 1916.74. However, my credit card is charged for $225.60 and $1813.75, so total charge of $2039.35Till to-date I don't have invoice but my credit card is charged. Till to-date I sent numerous email to Lamore (phone agent), but received no response via email or mail in writing. All at best, they tried to do is call me in work hours and left a generic message.They are not transparent in their cost and repair. With the behavior they showed, they are considered liars and cheaters. Please do your research, all negative reviews are 100% true and I don't trust positive reviews( made up).Lastly, if you call after office hours, staff suppose to be more efficient and alert, I found them half sleepy and gave me a feeling they are mentally absent (under the influence). Example: I told them clearly my problem with cooling issues, person lists as heating issues. I told agent cancel appointment for next day (appointment was in next morning), agent responds back saying oh I will let agent know to come to your place. He is on his way. I told them clearly that its a known issue reported earlier, but explained them line by line again and person kept asking me to repeat and repeat. Extremely unprofessional staff. When reported of this issue, Lamore told me they are sub-contractors and not directly affiliated with company. But, yet you still put them on line to talk to customers.

Justin was awesome! He was very mannerly and polite. He explained in detail what he was doing to my HVAC system, what was needed, and why. He went the extra mile in discussing financing the cost. Justin completed the work in a timely manner and also spoke with me about other services I may need that are provided by Weathermaster. I am very pleased with his work. When I need further work/services provided by your company, I hope Justin is the technician who completes the work!

Tom helped me by explaining what a weekend or late hours call entailed. I was very anxious about the faucet being broken but after his explanation what I could do to get correct help we succeeded in getting my sink back in working order. Update: I am updating my review from earlier today due to customer service truly going above and beyond to address my concerns in a quick and courteous manner. The thunderstorm last night caused a power surge in my area and damaged my zone board. The technician Lukas came to my home sooner than the scheduled appointment. He was professional, quickly identified and resolved the issue. Thank you Lukas for your awesome customer service. Also, thank you Susan for contacting me this morning better explaining the policies and moving up my appointment today. You are awesome as well. Thank you Jim for quickly responding to my review this morning and getting your team involved.I’m extremely disappointed right now. My a/c unit warranty is suppose to be covered under my home builders warranty. I just found out from customer service my warranty was only good for the first 12 months of new construction. It’s now 6 days past the 1 year warranty and my system has completely stopped working already. This is a new unit in a new construction built home only 12 months old. I had to call customer service twice just to request service. The representative stated b/c the warranty has expired it will be a $79 service fee plus $185.00 to extend the warranty. I ask out of good faith could they waive the service fee this one time since it’s so close to the expiration date of the builders warranty. I was told unfortunately they cannot do that. To add frustration to that I called before normal business hours to schedule an appointment. The representative advised she will have someone call me back so a technician can come to my home today. Now I’m being advised someone won’t get to my home until tomorrow evening between 1-5pm, plus I have to pay for the service fee, warranty fee and possible additional costs depending on the issue. I do understand life happens and there are guidelines with warranties, but out of good faith considering my home builder has contracted with this company to install HVAC systems in numerous communities, could they at least work with me in waiving the fee being it’s less than a week my warranty has expired. Again, this is extremely frustrating and disappointing

We have had WEATHERMASTER as our heating/air conditioning as well as tankless water heater providers for over four years. The entire staff at WEATHERMASTER has always been so professional, prompt & punctual. Weather Master is my go to for all plumbing, HVAC or any repair needs for my home. Let me start at the beginning- We needed a outside spout repaired because it froze and split in the winter. Weather Master sent Tom who is one of the best plumbers around to fix it. He was able to repair it without any problems. You could tell Tom showed respect towards my home and he is also very friendly. Next we had our AC unit checked by Andrew who was also the nicest person. Every time I have had service done in my home by Weather Master they have been wonderful, all jobs have been completed and have not had any problems. They are the only company I will call if I need plumbing, HVAC or other work preformed.

Mehdi was great! He showed up on time and was courteous and thorough in servicing our units and explaining the issues he encountered while inspecting our decade old units. He gave us options and recommendations that helped us get our units up to snuff. Units were originally installed by weather master and their warranty came into play on keeping the systems charged. Spending money on this stuff is never fun, but great to have confidence in the service and know we will be warm and toasty all winter.

I really appreciate Solomon coming out this weekend to get our heat running. He was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. He got us running again.I am, however, very disappointed in the reliability of this new expensive dual-fuel system that Weather Master installed in November. In two months of service the system has stopped working twice for separate reasons. I am worried about the long term maintenance costs for this system and how long it will be before the next issue occurs.

He showed up at the appointed time and provided me with professional, courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable service. He recognized the problem right away and fixed it. I needed a very expensive repair and actually didn't remember I bought a warranty for the repair. Initially I was quoted around 1k. After I was charged, the owner called me up and reminded me of my warranty and refunded my money. What a class act. Thank you. You may not remember, but I sure do.

I can't believe Ashton Woods has this business as a preferred point of contact for HVAC?!They originally quoted me parts and services that wasn't even necessary. Little did they know that I knew enough about HVAC units to point this out. So after bringing to light, I told them if they could back out those costs to original quote... I'd go ahead and get everything taken care of. I guess they were embarrassed that I caught them overcharging, because now they won't even return my call?!I can't even believe a business would try to do this, but then run away from the problem!

Sean from Weather Master did a great job adjusting the air flow of our system. Spent 2.5 hours doing the air-flow rebalancing and normal heat check. Highly recommended to go with Weather Master

This company is not my favorite. I always feel I have to be on my toes, because they will charge for anything and everything, even if they have caused the problem I'm stuck with them because of the make of my hvac units.I can say Dee in the office is a pleasure. This is a fine change, as other office staff have been aggressive and offputting. What a delightful change!And I have a new service representative Josh Lyons. He too seems like a fine individual and has tried very hard to fix many of the ongoing problems I have experienced. I believe he has to work within the confines of the management of this company who I feel just pushes sell, sell, sell, and that is a tough position to be in. I hope the company will learn that customer service is more important than pushing customers away by being aggressive and untrustworthy.In my opinion, put Dee and Josh in charge of how the company should treat customers. They may find customers will be lifers and not flee if they get the chance and maybe refer their friends and neighbors.Great job Josh and Dee. Hang in there! From - Your very appreciative customer!

Leaving this review specifically because the Service Tech (Nick C.) who just left my house after spending most of the day repairing our AC Unit. This guy is the epitome of a great Service Tech! He's been out here a couple of times and has been professional, friendly, knowledgeable and patient. He's shown great attention to detail, honestly seems to care about the quality of his work and is patient with my never ending questions. It's never easy to drop a bunch of greenbacks on a failed unit, but having a Tech like this makes you feel a bit better about knowing exactly what was wrong and why it had to be done and done right. Honestly, I could pick just about any HVAC company to come fix my stuff, but what keeps me coming back to Weather Master is the quality of the people on the front lines, like Nick C!

Had a positive experience with Weather Master installation of my Heating and air conditioning unit. The installers came on time, protected my flooring and carpeting, were courteous, and cleaned up after completing the installation. I have no complaints so far.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with Weather Master. They installed HVAC eqpt in my newly built home in 2011. They never gave me the manuals, or gave me information of the model and serial numbers. They never told me that I had to register with Lennox within 60 days of closing to get the extended 10 yr warranty. 8+ years later, the condenser coil is leaking and instead of giving me the information that I need, they keep saying that their new software system cannot go before 2016 installs. Very poor experience with them.

Our AC went out and we had a window of 5 hours that a tech would arrive. They arrived late and since it was a Friday, the part we needed couldn't be ordered until Monday. They need to prioritize there appointments by severity or offer emergency appts. The office manager really didn't have much to offer but eventually someone reached out and brought us a AC window unit to help. I do give them props for this but won't be extended our service agreement.

I got a new Heat Pump/AC system installed on the first floor. They acted professionally and acted as if they wanted my future business as well as my current. Very pleased. I have been calling since last night stating that my unit is not blowing cold air. I have spoken with 5 different people indicating an emergency as it is 92degrees today! I have 4 young children in this house and my unit is not even a year old yet! My unit is currently reading 83 degrees! This is unacceptable that I have not heard back from anyone yet. The call center has indicated that the on call techs have indeed received the emergency notifications. I am currently searching for another company to possibly fix this issue even though I have a WARRANTY with this company!

My AC was down for a week and the company who originally installed it could not tell me when they would be able to have it repaired. I called Weather Master and they were out the next day and had the AC working. I wish that I had called them first.My furnace suddenly stopped working. Weather Masters came out on Friday night at 7:00 PM and found the problem and fixed that night.

Andy and Tucker in training came same day that I called. I had a toilet/waste line issue that was addressed quickly. They made sure both toilets in house are functioning properly and that the flow through the waste line was as it should be. Andy was wonderful! Professional and patient, personable and persistent to resolve the issue. Kudos to Andy and Tucker.I want to also commend the lady who took my call. I have used weather Master at my last townhouse for a furnace checkup, and recently used them twice once for a tune-up and once to come out because my blower kept running. David my senior tech came out, he was very friendly very knowledgeable and very courteous. Found out my thermostat relay switch was inop so he replaced that and everything is working properly. Very happy with my service. I will always recommend weather Masters. David deserves a pat on the back. Thank you thank you.!!

I was outside, saw the estimator, and instead of getting out of his truck, he sat for 10 minutes then aggressively sped away. He did not exit his truck and ring the doorbell to speak with my wife, call my cell phone, or otherwise communicate in any way. I immediately called the office line and they confirmed that he saw me speaking with another company and opted to not even exit his vehicle. They offered to send him back out, but I declined. Glad this happened before I received an estimate. Don't waste your time with a company with such petty business practices and lack of professionalism.

Could possibly be generally more informative, but when asked, all questions were answered in completely.Cost was discussed prior to service, so no surprises. Daniel was quite personable. Really very disappointed in Weather Master service . Very unprofessional .We were charged for over $1350 for a Heating issue that seemed like a minor issue of cleaning.Home is less than 5 year old. Technician recommended air purifier brands , suggested a UV light etc .I checked with other vendor and those things were not even required to be replaced . I will never use them again .

I had to have Weather Master come back out a second time because the first technician forgot to turn one of my zones back on. When the second technician came out he turned on the thermostat on the third floor which fixed the problem and spent the rest of the time trying hard to sell me upgrades and then attempted to charge me for the call. He argued with me about being fair. Why should I pay for a call when the first technician forgot to turn on one of the zones, the person on the phone assured me the thermostat being off couldn't cause the zone problem, and the second technician was more focused on trying to get me to buy upgrades my new system than being ethical? Therefore WeatherMaster earned 2 stars this time. I have faith that this was just a one time fluke. Many of my other encounters with them have been positive.

David of Mr Plumber of WeatherMaster did a very kind service for my mother who has been in hospice home care for over two years . He spent 7 hours repairing a leak inside a bathroom wall.This act allowed the least disruption of my mother who has been in home hospice for over two years. He not only did good work,but showed compassion for my dying mother . The price charged was very fair as well . He was both a good professional plumber but at the same time a good man wanting to help others.

Update Jan 20:After a follow up email someone from the company called back to discuss the issue. The importance to customers feedback is good and thanks for listening to my concern and doing what's possible. Appreciate it.We have used WeatherMaster a couple of times. Recently, the furnace was not producing heat so called these guys after a bad exp with another company. These folks charge $99 for coming out and some companies charge only $59. The tech was skilled to isolate the problem and replaced the gas value. The replacement part cost is $130 retail price and I ended up paying almost $1000 for the part and installation. They sell the 1 year maintenance by reducing the other cost like on the part or coming out fee.. either way, you are paying ludicrous amount of money for the repairs with this company. I understand it's a big company and they have expenses to factor in, however, ripping customers off like this doesn't take you a long way.Initially we had them for a Heating unit tune up, which is useless from my point of view from these guys.. took the panel out and checked the unit was working and charged us $59 per unit (we have 2). So overall try other companies for your HVAC needs.

Juan was excellent!!!!! Very professional & polite. He explained everything to us. The care for our heating / air system we should consider with weather master to keep it running in good condition & how to operate the thermostat. He explained about the unit outside, in the attic and changing of the filters through out the house. If possible, we would like to have Juan come back for the service call we have scheduled for Friday at 8:00am for the noise we are hearing upstairs from the the filter, in which it’s coming from the attic. Juan is the reason for the 5 stars!!!!😊

I responded to Weather Master Heating & Air Conditioning's coupon offer for water heater maintenance and flushing for $59. Never mind that I had to call them twice because no one returned my calls, but when the guy came out he quickly determined that my water heater was leaking and needed replacing. He didn't even bother flushing it in spite of my continued request to please do so, but left me with a $3,000 quote to replace my water heater.Needless to say I got a second opinion and $135 later my water heater is flushed and repaired, thanks to a professional who took the time to do a proper inspection.I'm not giving a bad review because of the poor response time or the poor work, but because it's complete irresponsible to leave people with a $3000 quote for something that cost $135 to fix. I can tell from other reviews that that seems to be the business model here. Beware these people.

I called in to request warranty service for my HVAC system since it is making a loud noise when the heater turns on and was told they would send someone out today, but no one showed up for the service appointment. After calling the customer service center to find out what was going on, I constantly heard that no service technician was available for today and that they would need to reschedule me for another time and they would not be able to confirm the time, but we can call me 30 minutes before the technician shows up for the next appointment... This is not acceptable! If you confirm the appointment, then someone should come out!!! How can any customer believe a company that does not keep the simple promise to the customer? Unbelievable how unprofessional this company is!!

While we were very happy with the install of your units we recently paid for a “tune up” of our systems that are still under warranty.Of course there were things they said we could spend money on.One of these items was a part that would need to be replaced to maintain the warranty. The part was covered under the warranty. The total was supposed to be $328 but because we were under warranty we would only have to pay $164. They said it was to cover labor and coming out there… but it only took them 2 minutes as stated by the employee AND I already paid for them coming out for the tune up. He said we we are already getting a warranty discount and should be happy to get that. We paid for the warranty!Edited to add: customer service did call me back and they were polite and articulate. They stated that a tune up does not involve any actual “tuning up” as you would think in regards to any other mechanical device but more like a check up where they look at your system but don’t actually perform or do anything to your system. They stated that check ups and tune ups are the same thing and they are not sure how you could see it differently. I do not believe these phrases are synonyms and are not used interchangeably in any other business situation that I can think of. They also said I should have read the fine print on what a tune up is, but they called me and asked me if I wanted a service technician to come out and provide tune ups to my systems- I was given no fine print. I believe the language is intentionally misleading as I very much wanted a technician to tune up and service my systems but I did not need to pay for someone to look at my system. *** Every person I have talked with at Weather Master is incredibly professional, thoughtful and considerate but the language and policies of the company have left an unfortunate taste in my mouth. Because we have purchased two systems through them and are warranty is through them we hope to move forward and do business with them in a more clear and transparent manner.

We had our maintenance done on our furnace. Mr. Nelson from weathermaster came out to service our furnace. He was knowledgeable and took his time to explain what was wrong with the system, what needed to be repaired and the services that weathermater could provide. We had lots of questions, but Nelson was patient as he answered our questions. Highly recommend!Update: 12.4.2018Since the time weathermaster initially came to my home to service our furnace and fix the problem of cold air blowing, it was solved only temporarily. Once the cold weather rolled in (late November) the heater began to blow cold air. We called, and Weathermaster sent over a technitian who had a better understanding of the problem. I lowered my rating because rather than sending an employee to address our initial problem/ concern, Weathermaster's focus was to sell us their maintenance package. My warning to consumers: do your homework and have a firm understanding of what problem needs fixing or service.

My air-conditioning unit went out this past summer while I was out of town. I called Weather-Master, and they came to fix it. My daughter was at the house during this time. I talked with the technician, and he quoted me a price. He, also, said that for EIGHT dollars I could get the service maintenance agreement for one year. He said that was a “no brainer”!!! I agreed that eight dollars was a good deal. I didn’t understand why. He told my daughter I had agreed to everything, and she signed the paper work. He quoted me a high price for what was being done; however, I trusted it was fair. However, when I got home and called Weather-Master to email me the invoice, I was surprised to see that he had actually charged me $176 for the service agreement. That was the reason the charge seemed so high. I called Weather Master and told them about what had happened. The manager returned my call. He was SO nice. He apolized for what had happened. He said it was important to be customer friendly. He wants his customers to be happy with their work. He said he would refund my $176 (and he did), and that I could have the service agreement for a year FREE!!!! Now, that is what I call good customer service. I will definitely be using this Weather Master. I know the manager stands behind his customers. It means a lot to me to have someone who cares!!!! I think you should give them a try!!!!UPDATE: I called Friday, December 8, for my FREE service agreement appointment. They said they didn't have anything available until February 21!!!!! TEN weeks!!!! I've always been able to see them within a couple of weeks in the past. I guess since mine was to be FREE, they don't consider me important. When I've had the Service Agreement in the past, they told me I would be given priority. Guess that doesn't work when it's free....and if you read the beginning of this, you know why it is free.

After a long and difficult process we had our HVAC replaced, because the previous company installed too small of a size on our new build. Mark along with his team did a great job getting in and Jesus R. Just installed our new WiFi thermostats. Jesus went above and beyond to make it right, some items were missed while installing the new system minor items. The important thing is they worked as a team to get the job done and I look forward to our new system for many years to come. My fingers are crossed that this fixed our HVAC problems. In it wasn’t clear weather master was a pleasure to deal with.

My initial unit (Comfortmaker) was installed by Weather Master in 1999 & lasted 21 years! After my unit died, Dave came out to perform the initial assessment. He was kind, polite, professional, caring & COVID-19 armored. He laid out/explained the available options in a manner that I could easily comprehend & insured I understood what I was getting prior to leaving.Two days after the assessment, I had an installation appointment! On installation day, Fidel (mechanic) and André (assistant) were professional, courteous, COVID-19 armored and on point!!Since it was raining a little, I offered them my 10x10 pop-up tent, for which, they were very thankful!Thank you Weather Master Heating & Air Conditioning for returning my home to a place of cool comfort!!Oh wait...let's not forget Weather Master's buy back promotion & the Lennox rebate were financially helpful & greatly appreciated!

I was so impressed with the service I recieved by Weather Master's service technician Cody today. He provided a thorough and quality inspection both inside and out of my home's AC unit. Cody was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to explain the functionality of the unit and rationale behind the issues I was experiencing. Most importantly he was genuine and helped me prioritize the repairs that needed to be done without trying to over sell me on services. I would highly recommend Weather Master's to others based off of my experience. Hopefully you'll get Cody or atleast the same level of service.

My AC went out so I called Weather Master and scheduled an appointment. I told them what I thought the problem was, which is significant. They said they had an opening in a few days. I told them that I could do that day as long as they were done by 1 because I have to go to work. Audrey put it in the notes and assured me that they could do it. The day of the appointment I waited and waited. I finally called at 12 and spoke to Audrey again and asked if they were still coming. I reminded her that I had to leave at 1. She put me on hold and called the dispatch to inquire. She came back and told me that the service provider was held up at the house on the schedule before me and she would call me by 12:30 to let me know either way. At 12:37 a different lady called me to tell me that the service provider was free and could get to my house by 1. I told her that I had to leave by 1 and if the provider couldn’t be here and diagnose the system by then, he would be asked to leave. She told me that he was 20 minutes away and would not be able to do that and asked if I wanted to reschedule the appointment. I told her I did not because I prefer to work with companies that were committed to professionalism. The then proceeded to “apologize” saying that the company does no do time block scheduling and has no guarantee to be anywhere at a specific time: “sorry” for the misunderstanding. I replied that there was no misunderstanding. I was clear that I needed to leave my house at 1 when I scheduled the appointment and Audrey understood and noted it in my remarks. She started to argue again under the guise of an apology. I decided that it wasn’t worth my time to stay in a fruitless conversation about integrity and we said our goodbyes. Now here I am, at 1:03 completing this review.Follow up edit:I had someone (possibly a customer service rep but they didn’t identify themselves as such) call me after I posted this review. We spoke about what my expectations were and they took ownership on where they dropped the ball. They offered to make it up to me but I have already scheduled an appointment with another company. I updated my review from 1 star to 2 because of the nice phone call. It seems like they do actually care about the customer’s business. Take the 2 star review with a grain of salt because they never got the chance to do any work for me. I hope this helps someone down the line.

I won't use them again.They installed a new HVAC unit and duct system for us in 2015.Their financing company is horrendous and we ended up paying it off early so we would not have to work with them another day.FF three years, and our way too expensive thermostat’s screen went out. (Note, once it went out I was reading reviews and it has TERRIBLE reviews.) A technician came out and he was going to replace it with one that would not cost nearly as much as the original. Well, guess what? When he tried to replace it, he informed me that our Lennox furnace was wired so it is ONLY compatible with that over-priced thermostat! We can’t change it even though we wanted to! Of course, they didn’t have what I needed in stock, so it had to be ordered. I was told it would take just a few days for the part to come in.Two weeks later, I hadn’t heard anything from them. So, I called them. Oh. They said. It just arrived today. Hmmm. We scheduled an appointment for someone to come to install it. I stay home from work for the installation, and an hour later, he still has not shown up. I called the company and received NO apology just a rescheduled service call. He shows up for this one, and he wasn’t able to install it because he isn’t trained in how to install this type thermostat. Are you kidding me?We scheduled, now our fourth visit, for this issue. He showed up on time, but it literally took him 3 hours to install it. While he was here, he pulled out a part of our duct system to show us how dirty it was. Well, guess what? The company was paid to replace all of our duct work when we had the new system installed. That was only 3 years ago so please explain this to us (someone from the company did offer to explain how the duct system worked and why it may have been so filthy, but I declined). No explanation, just a sales pitch for thousands of dollars of equipment that will keep our ducts clean and sanitary.They are overpriced! They oversell. Moreover, poor customer service.

The service tech was nice and polite. It appears he checked the A/C system. He stated everything was ok. However, he did not check the filters inside the house because you would need a ladder to check them. He did not bring a ladder inside with him.

Justin arrived on time following his phone alert that he was on his way. He did the annual spring cooling checks to assure no problems with the indoor air handler and the outdoor condensing unit. Did a great job as usual, performing all expected checks and answering all questions. Noticed one part of system, air to air heat exchanger, turned off. Returned it to service. Justin is professional, easy to talk to and work with. He is a credit to his company. Additionally, Weather Master calls the day prior to the service call as a reminder of the service call the next day.

I have been having issues with system installed by builder's HVAC company and WeatherMaster for the past two years has maintained my system and fixed all the issues that I had previously. This company did our original install on our new build in 2016. September 2019 our ac stopped cooling and so did others in our neighborhood. We were charged $200 for refrigerant and the diagnostic for a leak was $200. Since it was 90° we did the refrigerant and would test soon. We were quoted $1600 to replace the coil with a test being done. Well 4 days later it was getting warm again. We opted for a second opinion. The company we went with only charged $89 for diagnostic fee. $1000 to replace the coil and brought us portable units to use free of charge.

Weather master was the company that warrantied the plumbing and HVAC work for our new construction from Dan Ryan Builders. We had numerous home warranty issues and I've probably had over 7 different techs and spoken to over 6 different people at their office over the last 12 months. Each and every time I was greeted by courteous and professional office and every single technician that came by was respectful of my home, property, and generally enjoyed working for Weather Master.I run a marketing agency so I talk to business owners every day from all different industries. It is rare to have a company culture where employees love what they do. As far as I can tell, Weather Master employees are just that.Most recently, I would like to specifically commend their team members such as Sterling, Brandon, and Josh. Again, everyone has been wonderful and they have a customer for life.I have one more pending issue with A/C vibrations in the wall but I am confident they will resolve this, same as the rest.UPDATE: Frank and Matthew took charge and were able to get to the root cause of the AC line vibrations/hums in a timely manner.

I scheduled an AC Tune up for this morning. The tech Scottie was on time. He was nice enough. I directed him to the AC units in the attic and bonus room. He was gone 10 minutes and came to tell me that he couldn't do ANYTHING. He said there were some items in front of the units and he could not get to them to do anything. I told him another service tech did an AC tune up back in the Fall with NO problems and nothing has changed in either of the locations where he needed to be!! I think he is lazy, or having a bad day, whatever I don't know and didn't want to fool with it to be honest. Still no excuse. Well, what was he doing for 10 mins. if he was doing nothing? He then proceeded to tell me that I had a cracked pan and that should be addressed. I wonder if I will all of a sudden have cracked pan problems now? Then he told me that my filters needed changing. I told him they were changed YESTERDAY. He basically stood there and called me a liar. He kept saying Sweetie they are filthy. I told him I saw my kid change them with my own eyes and the dirty ones were out in the trash can, if he wanted to see them! He stood there in disbelief. I asked him if he was going to look at the outside units? He said no, he couldn't do anything there. He didn't charge me, why would he, he didn't do anything, oh, other than tell me I had a cracked pan, whatever that is, and he left. I called the Sales Manager, he was not available, left message, no response, I Called back 2 hours later, he was still unavailable, and then I just called back AGAIN. 3 times today. The service manager called me just now (3:20) and was very nice and thankful for my call and expressing my experience. I now know, I never gave him permission to take photos of my home or items within my home. The SM asked me if the tech informed me that he had took photos? I said NO. which he didn't.....hmmmm? It is still unfortunate that the situation went south quickly with the tech. Too much small talk about cars, family etc. Awkward indeed. It bothered me enough to call and discuss, I am glad I did. *sigh* I have found another company to do the tune up. I hope it goes smoothly.

My wife and I had no ac for over a week and they actually cancelled an appointment because they did not want to send out a technician just to do a leak test. Instead all they wanted to do is sell me a whole new unit without even finding out what was wrong with the one I had. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this company all together. We've owned & purchased our Lennox ac/ home heating system (almost 10 yrs ago), in 2009 ( with Weather Master). Much to our surprise, (going into the start of our 10th season), the heating portion of the unit, stopped working properly! Weather Master, who was already scheduled, to do their bi- annual service agreement, given us some news, we didn't want to necessarily hear..... the processor for the whole unit failed & needed to be repaired!! Omg.... I thought the worst & thought this was not going to be good news at all!David (Sr Tech), looked at my husband and said yeah, this is going to be a pretty costly job, with labor, we're going to have to take the unit apart....... probably will be over $2000!!However, ...It's a good thing you signed up with our gold plan, 10 yrs ago! (which our warranty expires in a few month this year!!) It won't cost us Anything!!How can I tell you, how THANKFUL I am, to have my home heating repaired! And with David's knowledge & hands on experience, fixed the unit (within a few days of getting parts in!)Good Praise to David, for his skills, efficiency, and knowledge! Am I happy that the unit failed...... um NO! ......However, I'm ECSTATIC, Weather Master had given us the opportunity to purchase a better warranty plan (including parts & labor) (when purchasing the heating system, 10 yrs ago)!!Stay Cozy, Toasty & Warm Y'All, with Weather Master!

Our a/c fan quit in 90 degree weather. They were going to send someone that day but we had a funeral to go to & wouldn't be there so they came the next morning. Two stars as they called me back within 24 hours from contacting them online. Recently had an issue with an evaporator coil going out and was gathering estimates as the first quote was close to $3,000. The person who contacted me said they could not give a quote but could schedule a service call for $99. I did not expect them to make a repair based on what I was telling them was broken, however it seems strange to me that they are unable/unwilling to provide their pricing for a standard repair. I had the model number, serial number, so they should have been able to price the part and tell me how much it would have been (even include their $99 if they wanted). $99 is the highest service call I've seen in the area (another company was $59, and another $79) and I was not interested in paying $99 for a quote. The place that will be doing the repair was able to provide a quote over the phone based on the model and serial number. Their prerogative on how to handle their business, but I will not be contacting them next time I am in need of HVAC repair.

The company's service department is unreliable and expensive. Seems like they only have one technician to do the work and they will cancel your appointment in a minute only to attempt to reschedule for their convenience. In addition, when they ask for an hours delay then they call back 3 hours later to delay again, and then don't call back at all to delay again. I fired them today and would not consider them for this type of work again. Worst run company that I've come across but there are suckers every day so YMMV.

This was our first time using Weather Master. I took advantage of their AC Tune Up special for this first call with them and immediately signed a annual maintenance contract. I have been a Weathermaster customer for over 12 years and have trusted their product recommendations without question.My issue is not with the technician who provided outstanding and professional service on 5/6/2019. The issue is with the Lennox Elite A/C and furnace recommended and installed March 2016. The coil has failed in slightly over 3 years requiring an additional approximately $2K in addition to the premium price paid in 2016. My builder provided A/C and furnace which was described as the minimum cost unit lasted over 10 years. Weathermaster can only provide what the manufacturers make available, however installing a unit that failed within a short period in my opinion of time is an unacceptable expense. Will consider other service providers in the future providing systems with demonstrated greater reliability.

What amazing service we received yesterday from Hurley Redd. Our evap coil (even though only 3 years old) had begun leaking and our A/C was not working on what had been the hottest day of the spring. He found out a replacement part was available and even though it was late in the day, made the round trip to bring it back and install it for us. Mr. Redd was incredibly courteous and made sure we understood what was wrong and how he was fixing it. During the course of his repair he continued to talk to us about other things we could do to improve the effectiveness of the unit. We were extremely impressed with his knowledge and compassion. If we ever need other work done on additional equipment we will most definitely be calling Weather Master.

Don't use this provider! A management and follow up problem from the top down, techs are friendly especially Scotty and Mickey but the scheduling related to the service is slow, poorly communicated and completely unprofessional. After 3 visits and then a 4th to finally fix the problem after it was identified to only then be told they still need to return again with no date in mind. Worst yet, we had to move out as the heat in our house was unbearable and without the appropriate scheduling we had no idea when to return. They note on their website that They are committed to doing Whatever It Takes to deliver immediate comfort to North Carolinians. Also, that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. They DO NOT stand by either of those promises.

I live in a new development, my house is not even two years old but I could tell something was wrong with the AC. I called Weather master because that is the number that was listed for us to call for AC/Heat issues. I was told for someone to come out it would be $99 but if the problem was over $200 the $99 would be waived. I agreed thinking since my house is not even two years old it shouldn’t be much over $200. I wasn’t able to get services the day I called they couldn’t see me until 4 days later. Juan was our technician he did have on a mask and booties which I did appreciate that part of the services. When he got here he noticed the evaporator coil was frozen solid and was unable to evaluate the issue until it thawed out which resulted in rescheduling. I was upset because it would have been nice to given a heads up to turn the system off at least a hour or so before he arrived. I rescheduled and that was three more days of discomfort. When the day finally came it seems like I was the last one on the schedule he didn’t arrive until after 5. He checked things out and said he believed it was an evaporator coil leak but would suggest we run a diagnostic test which would be an additional $200 and the $99 I already paid would not be waived for just running the diagnostic test that is only waived if the actual services are over $200. So now I’m $300 in and AC still is not fixed. After running the test it was determined the levels are low and there is a leak. Juan said we would need to replace the entire system which would be $1900. Literally the worst news he could have ever told me a new homeowner that I would have to pay $1900 to replace a system that is not even 2 years old! I still don’t understand what the parts warranty covers if I have to fork out $1900. I’ve tried reaching back out to the company for a second opinion and have been unable to get a response back. I feel like I’ve been robbed, $300 and the only solution was replace the almost brand new 3 ton evaporator coil and sign up for a maintenance agreement. ACR0216-3 TON - EVAPORATOR COIL - 3 ton - $1953.15 REF-R410ALB - R-410A virgin refrigerant, PER POUND - $120.00 Agreement: MSA (06-29-2020) - $195.00Agreement: MSA 3 YR (06-29-2020) - $519.00Agreement: MSA 5 YR (06-29-2020) - $827.00. Very unsatisfactory I would not recommend this company save your money and buy ceiling fans or popsicles.

Brandon Vanmeter & Isaiah Stewart were the technicians that handled my warranty service call! The knowledge that I gained from Brandon’s expertise will definitely lower my electric and gas bill. They thought my issue was corrected but Brandon decided to tell Isaiah to check one last thing, turned out a part was defective & my air would not shut off although the thermostat said off. Absolutely awful company - they are crooks as far as I'm concerned. They did a horrible job installing HVAC units in my new house as the units were filled with dirt and rust before they were put in. I had failures about every 6 months ever since moving in and they nickel-dimed me to death. They try to upsell you HARD and even went as far as telling me I had mold in my crawlspace and wanted to charge me $2K to fix it. I called a real specialist for that and they told me I did not have any mold - it was just dirt!!The upstairs A/C unit broke after 3 years and this company refused to do anything about it. I called for the owner several times, Lee Hill, but all he did was have my calls screened and never returned my call even though I asked to speak with him personally. If the owner is unwilling to speak with customers that tells me all I need to know.After the failure I called the manufacturer of the HVAC units (Lennox) and showed them all the bills I had on these things and they helped me get a new unit for a reasonable price. (About 1/3 the cost of what Weathermaster quoted me.)All I have to say is buyer beware on this one!

Thank you for the dis-service.I called upon you for repair of our 5year old Carrier unit, I requested an after hours diagnostic in hopes that the repair was simple and quick, I paid for this visit as my wife is currently under chemo treatment and her comfort is my first priority. Was told that the part in question was under a 10year part’s warranty.You office person confirmed the warranty the next morning, at no time until your technician arrived was I told there was a $884.10 “installation fee” on a warranty part.I will say, your technician Juan was very courteous and professional.Had I been told of this “labor fee” before hand he never would have had to return.The manager I talked to in the phone stated “5 people touched that part before it arrive to you, how do you think they get paid?” Economy of scale sir, those folks maybe handled that part for seconds, along with all the other parts you handle daily. I guess a days payroll from one job is pretty awesome if you can get away with it.I’m in the service industry myself, I deal with warranties daily, what you’re doing is pretty unethical.Maybe someone decided that since there was a cancer patient they would be desperate and pay what ever, I don’t know, but the hospitals have gotten all our funds, sorry that was there was nothing left for you.My unit is repaired, I researched, purchased and installed part myself. At a fraction of what you wanted to charge. Had there not been a supposed “warranty” I would have done anyway.Warranty void, you won’t hear from me again, and I dare say there will be no “word of mouth” from me either.I’m small potatoes and meaningless in your big business world, maybe someone will read this and think twice.PS Juan is a great tech, I hate hat you put him in such an awkward position dealing with customers like that.Thanks for your time.

WeatherMaster installed a standby generator system for me. I have an older home, and to say it was a challenging installation would be an understatement! Everyone listened carefully to what I needed and kept me in the loop throughout the process. The management was amazing at keeping the project within budget, and Pat the electrician was knowledgeable and flexible during installation. The Generac unit is quiet and efficient. I recommend this team both for the quality of the product and integrity of the service.

I do not recommend this company. My mom lives on a tight budget and is a single mom and she had them come out and they quoted her $1,000 in “repairs” and labor. We had another contractor come out to look at the same problem and he cleaned out some cat hair and it now works perfectly. $0 repair. I’m embarrassed for this company to be so dishonest. I suggest looking elsewhere.

I called Weather Master to schedule the spring maintenance visit for my home. Justin showed up and was very courteous and nice. He went right to work and inspected my two units. He took pictures of the items he wanted to bring to my attention, and we discussed system upgrades such as whole house filtration (at the air handler) and the addition of air purifiers.It was nice meeting him, and he gave me some food for thought on the upgrades.

Called them to diagnose a leak in a water pipe due to our floor swelling up. They came,charged us $106, informed us there was no leak and left. 2 days later my husband discovered the leak and we called them back and were informed they could not waive the service charge to come back even though they MISSED identifying the problem to begin with! Save your money and call someone else.

I was having trouble with my air not working. On 05-20-2013 I called Weathermaster and they sent Technician Jeff out. Jeff arrived on time once he got to my home my lights were out and he couldn't work on the air. Jeff came back to my home once my lights were back on. Jeff work on my air out in the rain and did not stop until he had my air working again. Thanks to Jeff for a excellent job well done!

I have been having repeated issues with my AC and Weather Master has been out several times to address these issues. Honestly, I have been frustrated and not sure why the issue hasn’t been resolved already. However, today, I spoke with Susanne at WM and she was very sympathetic to my frustrations, she sent out a senior technician, David, who was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Although I am still not sure what the problem is, I am feeling confident it will get resolved to my satisfaction!!

Weathermaster is one of the Top 5 HVAC companies in the Triangle for a reason. They will come in, diagnose your issue and give you REAL feedback on how to get it fixed! They do not try and up sale you on stuff you don't need and their technicians are professional and thorough. If your repair is more expensive than your budget, they even have financing opportunities available. I chose Weathermaster b/c they did the install on my home when it was being built, but I STAY with Weathermaster for the pro service they provide! You should too!

Andrew's customer service and responsiveness are exceptional. He was able to pinpoint the problem with our HVAC unit immediately and explain the work in terms that actually made sense -- not always easy to do! We recommend him highly for professional, knowledgeable and quick service. Side note: all work was covered under warranty, which he explained in detail, and did not deter from the expedited service.

Thanks so much to the technician, David Guin for his great service. Really appreciated. He was not only professional identifying the cause of the problem checking all possible sources(We requested the service for an extreme water bill amount) in details but also very friendly manner and patience for all my questions. There are many of you I want to acknowledge - two tremendous jobs on two different occasions. One A/C and heater and just this week the 50-gallon water heater in the 'attic'. Their work is impeccable, they all work together as a team and all synchronized - no waiting, no ordering a part just perfect work that you expect. We signed up for the service contract to have 3 of our units serviced twice a year. Every single visit was difficult. Sometimes our summer service was happening in September, and then our winter service was happening in March. One time they rescheduled me due to some issue, which was fine, but I didn’t heard from them to reschedule. They said I missed their call, so the next appt was Sept! Once the tech didn’t know we had a third unit on the service plan! I had to call the office (who also couldn’t find the records!!) to clear it up! Every single visit we had over $1000 in repairs. Every single visit they recommended we buy an air purifier. Please avoid this company.

Mr. Willie Reed , WeatherMaster Mr. Plumber, telephoned ahead of time to advise of his anticipated arrival. He arrived as promised and immediately began to diagnose the cause of our water pressure problem. He determined the need for a new water pressure tank and a water regulator switch. He advised what the cost would be. And upon my approval to proceed, he removed the old tank and switch and immediately installed the new equipment. Throughout the process, Mr. Reed was courteous and kept me informed of his progress. He finished in a timely manner; he also recommended a whole house filter that would address the occurence of hard water. He fixed the water pressure problem.Andrew Kestner, arrived as scheduled today and did the maintenance check on our AC unit. He was efficient in doing his work and he kept me informed of his findings. I am highly satisfied with the work he performed today.Brian arrived on time and performed a maintenance check on our heating system. Diagnosed a need for a new capacitor. He was efficient in performing the service. October 25, 2022.

Justin A. did my annual AC maintenance today. (This is the second time he has done so.) He is my absolute favorite service person: knowledgeable, competent, polite, and professional. He explains things clearly and doesn't mind questions, which he answers clearly and politely. We had called them out on a diagnosis call since the previous owner of the house had been using them. They had a steep fee of diagnosis $100+taxes. But we decided to go with them anyways since our cooling was off.I had already seen that the evap coil was iced up and that I was low on freon. So, there had to be a chance of a leak somewhere. What I failed to do was to ask them what their diagnosis covered. And, obviously it didn't cover the leak test.So, for $100 and a change, the Tech checked the dampers for the airflow and tested for freon which I had already done. As soon as he did that (barely 20mins), I was quoted $220 for a leak test and if I did that then they would waive the $100 diagnosis fee. Well, I decided not to proceed further since it looked like they were just interested in charging more and more even before finding the actual problem.

I called this company to get a rough estimate on replacing a rubber seal inside the toilet bowl. I was informed of the service call charge of $99.00. I asked about other charges, but was not told a flat $130 would be charged for the service man to do any other work.When the service man arrived, he informed me that in addition to the service charge of $99, he would have to charge me an additional $130.00 for any other work to be done. Regardless of how small, the additional charge would be $130.00. Replacement of a rubber seal would have cost $229.00. I know times are hard for business, but seriously, a charge of $130.00. Needless to say, I will not ever use this company again, nor will I ever refer them. I will post this review on my face book page as well. I feel like I've been robbed.

Very unprofessional and not responsible at all. Very rude. Technician have fooled us and charged very big amount without performing any repair work. They take the money and disappear. This company charge very high .. stay away from this company. There are better HVAC repair companies out there. These guys needs to improve the service quality, be more transparent and stop telling the false information. Not trustworthy at all and do not care about the customers. At this point Zero customer satisfaction. Not recommended.

Poor customer service, would not recommend. Didn't return initial phone call, then sent Chico after I called them again, only Chico was without a doubt the rudest person I've ever met, no joke. Then, after calling to complain and asking to speak to his manager, that manager never called. That's three strikes, folks. PS - A rep from another company I called afterward says he worked with Chico and confirms the guy is definitely rude. Wow, what a shame, Weather Master.Update: Manager called a week later, not because he owed me a call, but his vm specifically said it was because of my review. Wow. So, called him back, and he said he'd look into the particulars and call me back - never did. That's 4 strikes for these guys, amazing, utterly amazing.

The technician who came to my residence, Jesus, was very professional, courteous, and thorough with his examination of my heat pump system. He was able to provide pictures to support his explanation of the system and what attention may be required to rectify any problems that exist. I greatly appreciate the information as presented. As far as the value, that is still up for debate. I will know more at a future time.

We used WM for a basic repair of a leak in our older shower. The person who took our call said it would be $99 to come out and assess the problem. However they also said that if the repair was over $300, they would deduct the $99 from the bill. We were quoted $400 - $500 for the job after their plumber came over to examine the problem. When they finally fixed the issue (it took two weeks), the out the door price was $609. When I asked about the $99 service call charge being deducted from our bill, I got a whole line of different excuses why they wouldn't be giving us the $99 back. The owner did call me a few days later but got kind of worked-up on the phone over the issue; then I had to argue with the plumber at length before they said they would refund me back $68 plus tax.I very much resent having to fight these guys about their own refund policy. They also claimed they could not guarantee their work because the water pressure on our house was too high (110). Funny thing is that over the years, we've used various plumbers and not a single one ever mentioned that issue to us.However it’s now 10 days later and we have been contacted by the same company. The woman on the phone was very nice and understood our problem. They sent another plumber out (Brandon) who was a great guy in every way AND was able to fix our leak.Thus I’ve edited this review to move it up to 3 stars. However if I can figure out how to do a separate review — just for him — I will give him 5 stars. Very pleased with Brandon, a real credit to the profession and company!

My technician was Ryon B. and he was absolutely awesome! I had an emergency situation with my heat on a holiday and he arrived at my house within an hour of my call! Ryon explained to me in detail what the issues were and what my options were. I was back up in running in no time! He was very knowledgeable and professional. Definitely recommend!

I wish I had never bought my unit from this company several years ago. They are fine when purchasing a new unit, but after the sale they no longer care about their customers. Technicians do not show up when scheduled (as instructed). The scheduling department will put appointments ahead of you that bring in more money than a spring or fall check, even though you already are assigned that appointment time. I have had the company even call and cancel my appointment on more than one occasion. Technicians come out and try to sell customers things they don't need at astronomical prices, because it's what they are told to do. A couple of years ago, I believe they were investigated for doing this. I have spoken to management several times and no one cares. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't buy from this company under any circumstances.

Manny called when he was on his way and arrived promptly. He was thorough and professional and completed his system check/maintenance with no problems. We spent some time chatting about smart homes and compared notes since both of us have pieces of a smart home. The only blip was that he left with the key to the lock on my crawl space and, since I needed to get into the crawlspace the next day for vent/duct cleaning service, I contacted Weathermaster's emergency service (it was late Friday night when I realized it) and he promptly dropped off my key Saturday morning. I think we were both so engaged in talking about technology that both of us forgot about the key.

The first technician at my house was a young man named Ryan who was professional, efficient, and personable. He took plenty of time to explain my HVAC issues and his opinion as to what the solution might be. He called in a technician/estimator named Daniel who was a real pro as well. I never felt pressured to buy or make any fast decisions.It's a pleasure to write reviews like this for people like Ryan and Daniel, and for Weather master. Really disappointed at how insane the pricing of this company is. A heat blower capacitor which costs $2.85, was charged at $155 with installation. It was a quick task. This is a clear rip off!! How do you expect your customers to renew warranty services when the margin of services and equipment replacement is over 50 TIMES higher. This is a sad way to manage pricing and services with customers who have been using the services year over year!My request to other customers is to please check the price and details before you believe what they are doing is right! You will be surprised.

I needed supply lines and for them to be installed for my new bathroom faucets. I called them and they sent a plumber to inspect and install the lines. It was supposed to be a free estimate. They did not have the supply lines I needed in stock and they wanted to charge me over $100 just for them to run to there supplier to shop for them. I declined and they wanted to charge me a service fee of around $100 for the inspection/diagnosis. Then when I asked about the free estimate that I was promised, he said there is no free estimates and then optioned me to buy a service agreement instead. ....The service agreement is a full home plumbing inspection. I am not one to argue, so I optioned for the service plan. ....I scheduled it for today. He came out and looked at everything and wrote some estimates for a new hot water heater since mine is 16 years old. The prices were proposterous and unrealistic. I will just go to Lowes and Home Depot for a hot water heater. Less than half of Weather Masters quotes.......I was not happy with the service I recieved. It was a waste of my time. All I initially wanted was a plumber to sell me and install some simple supply lines for my bathroom faucets. They could not do it. What a joke!

I have been a Weathermaster customer now for about five years.Everyone there is quite helpful, knowledgeable in all facets of service including plumbing, Ac and heat.Today I had the pleasure of working with Andy who really knew hisstuff in regard to my aging duct work, and heating system.He was thorough and spent a great deal of time in adjusting all the heating equipment and making sure all worked right for the winter ahead.I would recommend anyone who is in need of yearly service or a fine tune up now and then for all electrical, plumbing and heating, ac applications.Great company great people, great service

I wanted a Google Nest Thermostat installed. This company wanted $837 for the installation. Retail price of the thermostat is $250. All you have to do is plug in 5 five wires and turn the furnace back on from the fuse box.I could only imagine what they would charge on serious problem on your HVAC. Staying clear away from a greedy company.

The technician Scottie is wonderful and extremely helpful! He deserves a five star!!!!However, the company has some serious service and coordination problems. They gave me 1-5pm window, but showed up twice around 7pm. It is not the technician's fault, obviously the company takes more than it could handle in a day.I also wasted half a day waiting for them because the service staff told me the wrong service date...The service is expensive too.

Appreciate the service but price gouging is an issue. Charging $400 for a sub $50 part (capacitor) is highway robbery.Called for a routine service on the two AC systems. One capacitor was out and before the rep could complete the service a capacitor was required. $400 really!!

My AC hasn't been working for 2 weeks, the tech, David, came out to resolve my issue and is amazing!!! he was able to locate the issue quickly and was extremely knowledgeable!!!! I'm giving 3 stars because I don't believe my brand new system was put in properly 18 months ago, which caused my system to leak out refrigerant in less than 2 years = NO WORKING AC!!! Now, the company is expecting me to pay to replace the refrigerant and whatever other labor needs to be done, due to this being of no fault of my own!!!! This is the second time they've had to come out and fix an issue, that's not user error, in 6 months!!!!

I paid Weathermaster over $500.00 to put a new burner in my furnace. I checked Amazon and the same burner was $41.00 . It took 20 minutes to put it in. Do you think that was fair? I had a great experience with Weather Master! My specialist, Michael Ellington was awesome! He was great about calling me when available. Often times you are on a scheduled block because each client concern is different. I had to change my time frame because of the severity of my maintenance concern. The Dispatch coordinator made changes and accommodated as much as she could and I appreciated her honesty about the time. She assured me the location of Michael and that he would call as soon as he was done with previous client. Michael contacted me to let me know he would be at my location and he was. The process was easy, he was efficient. No one wants to hear that they need to replace a water heater unit, but he discussed options to help meet my needs. Michael moved forward with removal and installment of units. He did not make a mess and was professional every step of the way. Again he shared some details and information about what to keep an eye on and what to look for moving forward.I will also like to add that Carla and Dianne were very pleasant in assisting me with service reservations.

WORST EVER!!!!!! Weather Master are crooks, plain and simple. They'll tell you something is broken when it's not. They will not return calls. They won't remember to order parts and you will wait and wait for unnecessary repairs. We had no ac for OVER A MONTH for NO REASON other than the tech LIED. I'm talking 95 degrees and up inside my home!!! lots more can be said about this terrible company, but the bottom line is: Before you give them money for any work, get a free second opinion from any other repair company, OR, BETTER YET, do not call them!!!

If I could give 50 starts I would!SPOILER ALERT: Tyler C. and Melinda are my MVPs!I have a maintenance plan with Weather Masters. Their customer service, and maintenance team for both plumbing and HVAC are excellent. They are very knowledgeable and I don't feel like their goal is to rip us off.Tyler C. has been consistently helpful regarding our plumbing system and repairs. He is always providing great tips and information to take care of our home. He's very personable.Melinda is extremely responsive. I had one misunderstanding with one of their guys where he didn't know of the arrangements that were made with our maintenance plan. I called and spoke to Melinda to verify if the plan was still set up as agreed and she confirmed. She also said that I could call her if there are any other concerns or questions. Welp! I didn't need to call her about anything else. But when I called the main number to set up an appointment for something unrelated, Melinda called back 5 minutes later saying she heard someone say my name and wanted to make sure I was all set. Well damn! I guess she meant it! She personally wanted to make sure what I was requesting was managed well and was correct on their end and there were no misunderstandings at all.I appreciate their entire team. They are all great people from what I can tell, including the person who didn't know about the arrangements. Those things happen because we're human. I'm sure Melinda explained the situation and he's probably fine now.They are awesome!

We had the stem of the cold water lavatory to begin to siege. I called for a plumber to come and clean the stem or replace if necessary. The office made me aware that there would be a $100 service fee whether repairs were made or not. The fee would be waved if the repair cost over $300. A plumber was sent the same afternoon. The plumber arrived and looked at the faucet and immediately said he was going to his truck to prepare a quote. In less than 10 minutes he returned with a two option quote. Option 1-install a new faucet for $673.69. Option 2- Rebuild the faucet for $377.94. I committed that the quotes were ridiculous and I would get someone else. He then asked for his $100. I reluctantly paid the bill. I then called Cary Plumbing. I had to wait 4 days until they could get to me. Cary Plumbing arrived on time and cleaned the scale off the stem. It is working like new. Total cost $138.35. I am 75 years old and assume Weather Master thought they had easy pickings with a senior citizen.

When Jake came to my home hechecked my AC unit and said the caliber had gone bad and the compressor was completely gone...He was going to charge me $400 for a $7 part .then insisted the compressor was blown, they came out and offered me a new system for $10,000 to $11,000. That $7 part worked and cost me no where near what the were trying to sell me. My AC works beautifully! Signed up for the Maintenance Service Agreement after purchase of new condo with new unit. Technician was late but seemed to do a through job once her got here. Weather Master installed the system. So far have been pleased with the until (with one exception) and the service contract - no real trouble yet to test the terms of the contract or warranty. Heating unit drain pipe did have a risk of freezing in the very cold winter temperatures - work around was to place heat lamp on the drain pipe on very cold nights. I asked if there was an official repair for the problem and told there was not - I assume unit was installed based on the assumption the region would not get so cold in the winter. It means the unit is not exactly trouble free year round. Otherwise I would say so far so good.

Weather Master (ELECTRICAL) is an absolute waste of Money and Time. I hired them to do an electrical service upgrade on my home change out a 100 amp service to a 200 amp service. First visits the electrician came worked two hours and left saying he felt sick. One week later he arrives again and after an hour leaves saying he can't do the work as it's a two person job and the company only assigned him alone...Another week late he cancels the appointment because it's raining...(It rained for one hour that morning and then stopped) one week later (Now a Month) he arrive alone again and complaining that he's going to have problems as he is again alone. He started work at 9:00 am and completed it at 10:30 pm My electricity was off all day food began to thaw in the freezer as a result. He finally finished the work...$2,500 later.... And when the company that did my HVAC work arrived with the Town of Cary Elec. & Mechanical inspector to look over the HVAC work it was observed that the elec. serve upgrade would cause a failure on inspection. The HVAC had two circuit breakers that were the WRONG size; a 40 amp breaker that should have been only 30 amps and a 20 amp breaker that should have been only 15 amps.....Creating a potential fire hazard. I called Weather Master to complain and finally got through after two days of trying and was informed that they were not accepting any more electrical work for the time being. And that the Electrician who did my work was no longer with the company. I don't think Duke Energy was ever contacted to check and make the final connection. Avoid Weather Master like the plague. AHorrible experience..UPDATE: Jul 11, 2017 ~ As an Update to my Goggle review of Weather Master “Electrical” dated; 6/22/2017. I was contacted by, Jim Hunnicutt, Operations Manager for Weather Master. Jim advised me that the electrician who did the work at my home was “No Longer With The Company” and apologized for the substandard work. Jim assured me that the work would be completely redone by a licensed electrician correcting any sub standard work and any repairs needed would be made. As promised, the corrections were made bringing the work up to standard and was approved by the Town of Cary inspectors. Repairs are being made to correct broken ceiling tiles and cracked wall, restoring all to their original condition prior to the electrical work. In addition Weather Master made a significant, appropriate and appreciated adjustment to the price of originally quoted.When confronted with poor performance I did not hesitate to strongly express my disapproval of this company for my unpleasant experience, but in fairness to “Weather Master” as soon as my experience was brought to managements attention they promptly and professionally acted to do everything they could do to make this right. They have restored my confidence in them as a company one can count on.”

The Town of Cary is replacing an aging water main in my neighborhood, which is great. (So long asbestos pipe!) However, the new tap meant that a fair amount of sediment made its way into my house, clogging a number of fixtures. Brandon was able to help confirm the issue and clear a number of clogged fixtures. He was timely, courteous, friendly, and thorough. I'm not a fan of the $99 trip fee, but Brandon's service made it worth the cost.

Could not ask for a better company to work with. Having to installed a new HVAC system is a big step for any homeowner. I did my due diligence and interviewed four highly renowned companies which all would have done the job. But Weather Master demonstrated their professionalism. It is in the details that separate them above the rest. Great company to work with. The install of equipment was quick and neat. No trash left behind.

Our new heating and AC system failed to work properly. Hurley came to the house and diagnosed the problems, had the part ordered, and returned in a timely manner. Today, he was prompt and worked diligently to repair the system. After testing the system, Hurley showed us how to operate the thermostat as simply as possible.Not only is he an excellent technician, Hurley has a pleasant demeanor. It is always a pleasure to work with him.

Technicians was not interested in job at hand. Suppose to do yearly service on unit. This is the second time, this same tech had been to my residence. 10 years old unit. Just went out of warranty. Both times, all he was interested in was selling.Told had ac leak. would take 258.00 to locate leak then 3 to 4 K to repair.His recommendation. He said to buy a new unit it has warranty. Told him, I don't think i need one.Had unit checked by another company and no issues were found. No leak.What bothers me about this is, what if another couple didn't have another route to go or have checked by another.How many others have been taken advantage of?This technician needs to be in your sales dept, not as a field technician

These folks get the work done, but still use the antiquated 8-12 or 1-6 appt windows and forget to latch gates they’ve opened. If you don’t check behind them your dogs will be loose. I’m a 10 year+ customer so I’ve learned to check.

This company is awful!!Their servicemen are clearly commissioned. I purchased heating and air service contract but quickly realized that the goal was to up sell as much as possible.Their service man was very rude.I complained with no response from the company.Three months after service, my heat pump stopped working. When I asked to have someone come out to take a look as part of the prepayed heating service, I was told that I would need to pay another $79 service call. They already have $100 of prepayed heating unit service.Mary the supervisor was very unprofessional and actually laughed when I complained.I have had this company service my AC and also look at a plumbing problem with the same result.These repairmen are unprofessional and their goal is to sell.Stay far, far away from this company.

He took the time to show me the old part and tested it in front of me so I could see that it was bad and needed replacing. I was experiencing problems with my heating unit (the fan would keep running even after I shut the unit down). I called Weather Master and they added me to their service schedule very quickly. The technician that came to inspect the unit and perform the work, Jake C, did an outstanding job. He was extremely knowledgeable and very polite. He explained in great detail what was going on with the unit and what steps would need to be taken to correct the malfunction. He checked with his office to get me the best price possible and I am very thankful for the courtesy shown to me. Good morning,The recent winter weather had damaged the fan and motor on one of my units. Jason came out early this week(Weather Master’s employees are always very communicative and prompt) and quickly identified my problem. He explained what was needed and price very clearly and even pointed out how I could save money.Received a message a couple days later that the parts were in and that Jason would be out to install yesterday. I was concerned that the rain would prevent the work from being completed and this was confirmed by Jason. I understood and told him I’d call to set up another appointment. He advised me to wait. Jason then proceeded to wait about a half hour in case the rain abated.Fortunately the rain stopped and he completed the repair perfectly. And just like other work Weather Master has done for me, upon completion, there is never a trace of debris or any sign that they were here(other than my system worked again).If it was possible to rate Jason and Weather Master higher than five stars I would. Every employee there I have dealt with has been very professional, kind and extremely patient explaining what they are doing.They are a treat to deal with.Edward Selzer

The techs are great but customer communication needs work. For our past two service calls, the tech missed the 5 hour time slot for our appointment. Apparently the folks at Weather Master have no way of telling when the tech will arrive onsite and they dont call to update you on the status of your appointment. The first time, our tech came an hour and a half late (7:30PM) and we never would have known he was coming at all if we didnt brow-beat the after hours staff to have him call us. Second service call was a repeat of the first. This follows a very poor experience with a new Goodwin HVAC unit. Not sure if it was the product, installation or both. Unfortunately we wont be using Weather Master for future HVAC purchases or service.

I have used Weather Master Heating and Air for the last 7 years. They are my preferred choice for maintaining my HVAC system and their maintenance plan is terrific. Recently, I had to contact Weather Master for a non functioning furnace. Joel C. came out on a Sunday to diagnose the problem with my unit. He allowed me to watch the entire process and answered every question that I had. He spent as much time as I needed to explain the various options available to me. I trust his professional opinion and appreciate the time he takes to review what needs to be done. Although he did not have the part available that Sunday, he returned the following day with the part and repaired the unit to full working order. I can't speak highly enough of the professionalism that Joel C. offered to me. I highly recommend both Joel C. and Weather Master Heating and Air.

Tony Hoilman, came to our home yesterday to asses a cooling problem we had on our second floor. He quickly discovered we had a problem with our damper and replaced in minutes. He also did a maintenance check and cleaning of our system. The second floor is nice and cool! Tony was very professional, explained technical things in a manner we could understand, patient, answered all of our many questions and was very personable. Seriously over priced! We were told the cost of the service call, but were not informed that it would be an additional $150 for him to run a bucket water through a funnel to clear the tube. We assumed that would be the service part of a service call. Frank was very nice, my AC works, but it was $89 to say hello. $150 for the bucket of water (our water) and funnel- 15 minutes total. We were planning to sign up for the service plan, until we got the service bill. We will NOT be calling Weather Master again. One star because Frank was very nice.

What I thought was going to turn into a nightmare with an AC unit that was working turned into one of the most positive customer service experiences I had had in a long time. I called and the next day Joel was out, diagnosed the problem, order the part and installed it 2 days later. He has a great attitude and really knows what he's doing. NOT RECOMMENDED! We had a service technician check our downstairs unit last week, and aside from the obvious that it had lost freon, every other statement was later refuted by a technician from another company. I can only conclude that the Weather Master technician was trying to frighten me into buying a completely new unit. And for that he charged me a $99 service fee, even though it was really just a sales call. When I called customer service to complain, the representative wouldn't let me finish a sentence, and then accused me of doing the very thing she was doing! I can't get back that $99 but I can have the satisfaction of knowing they'll never get another cent from me. BE WARNED!

He has a very positive and friendly demeanor - very easy to relate to. He listened to our concerns and offered good advice on how we could proceed. We recently hired Weathermaster to repair/replace our water heater. Tom O. came out and was great. The heater was in our crawlspace and Tom worked his butt off to manage to get the old one out and the new one in. He needed to work in the confined space on a hot day, digging to get the old one out [tight fit]. He was pleasant & extremely knowledgable about everything. He also pointed out that our water pressure tank [we have a well] was showing distress, so we decided to get him back the following week the replace that as well. Again, he was an awesome worker, getting it all done and leaving the crawlspace perfect. We highly recommend Weathermaster, and ask for Tom O.

Thermostat kept losing power stopping the unit from running. Ryan diagnosed it correctly ( stopped up drain set off safety cutoff). Promptly fixed it and notified us of possible problems with our ten year old unit. Have used Weather Master for the installation and maintenance of our Lennox unit without a hitch all this time. Other than routine maintenance, this is the first stoppage we’ve experienced and they came out promptly to fix it. Would highly recommend!

Cody is a great service tech. Really nice, friendly and explains so you can understand. Did a great job of servicing my AC. Recommended a replacement part and advised I didn't have to do right now as the part was still working ok but would probably want to do it on the next service. I had him replace it and he was done in no time! updated on 12/22/20Weather Master contacted me regarding my issue and has since corrected the situation. I appreciate them taking the time to reach out.---I wish I could give this review a higher rating, as the techs I spoke with were very nice, walked me through what was going on, and were very respectful. The problem, however, is that the first time they came out, they fixed my heating, but did not check my AC. It is all one system, so since none of it was working, the entire system should have been checked (and the second tech I spoke to confirmed this is standard procedure). Then, I had to call one week later to have them come back to see why the system was not working. I had to pay for both visits. When I raised my concerned about the service, no one got back to me. You can't just pick and choose what you fix; otherwise, it's just a racket.

Solomon was great! He came to our aid quickly and helped us isolate a gas leak. He found the leak, replaced the faulty part, and negotiated an excellent deal with us for future maintenance on our systems. We will be asking for his assistance personally and by name in the future. Thank you to Solomon for all his help and professionalism.Edit: I had Jesus come for a routine check up on my HVAC system today. He noticed a problem: my flue pipe from my furnace was disconnected. I live in a newly-developed neighborhood where the contractor uses WeatherMaster to do their AC units. My AC unit decided to break down on me just a few days passed my warranty. With the Covid situation, I didn't have extra money to spend on getting my air conditioning repaired. So I called WeatherMaster. It was less than 10 minutes later that WeatherMaster called me back and said that they had spoken with management and that they would send someone out to repair my air conditioning unit at NO CHARGE!. I'm grateful that they were a compassionate enough to know that many people have fallen on hard times during this Covid-19 crisis. The service was as though I was paying. It was excellent! The rep's name was Isaac. He was very prompt, polite, professional, and very informative. I'm cool now and very happy. Thanks WeatherMasters!!!!!!!

Daniel F. was so pleasant and helpful. He suggested an air purifying system for my unit and was patient in explaining how the different options worked. He consistently asked if I had any questions and if there was anything else he could do for me. I was recommended by a friend to use Weather Master and had heard great reviews. I was eager to use their services. My a/c went out yesterday (Thursday) and I contacted them around 5:30pm. I spoke with after hours office staff who stated I would be seen the next day (Friday). A technician also called me 30 minutes later asking did I need anything and someone would contact me in the morning to let me know of my appointment time. Today they have called back stating I would not be seen at all today and would not be seen until sometime Monday. If I would’ve known their schedule was full until Monday I would’ve called other companies last night. I am now scrambling to try to find someone to come out before the weekend. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Tom O was great to work with. I had a sewer line clog that led to the sewer backing up into my house on a Sunday morning. He came out and cleared the stubborn clog and pointed out that the access to snake the clog was damaged and recommended coming out and fixing it. 1. I was told I had a warranty and my service call was 100% free. The tech said he had to collect $95 from me before he left. I protested but he said he couldn't leave until I paid. Called the shop next day advising I was told it would be free. Dealt with literally 4 inapt employees. I was told they would have to review the recording where it was told that I wouldn't have to pay and we get back to me weeks and weeks went by I followed up multiple times and never got a response. Long story short three months later trying to chase down my refund I got my check for $95.2. I scheduled my semi annual maintenance with them 3 months ago. They called me yesterday to confirm my appointment. Today they called me and tell me that they have to reschedule my appointment. This is not acceptable when I took off of work requested it off literally over a month ago.Update on issues #2After calling them back and speaking to a manager they made sure I received service on the day I was scheduled.

Our grandmother had a new system installed by Weathermasters 2 years ago, and after she passed we moved into the house. She kept it quite warm, so she did not realize it was not cooling properly. WM went above and beyond to get our system functioning properly, even though our labor warranty had been up, they never charged us a dime. We would really just like to thank Maureen, just about every tech had been to our home at least once troubleshooting , and even the management had been out to solve the problem. Thank you everyone! Our system is working great and I will continue to use them for maintenance and any other services they offer. They gave us hope that there are still businesses out there that go above and beyond. My experience with weather master was great they called to verify my appointment and the tech called to let me know when he was on the way arrived promptly was very curtious put on the shoe covers to make sure he didn't track mud or anything inside the house checked out my system explained everything that was going on with it and recommended what should be done and took the time to set up an appointment with someone at the company to come right out today to look at the system and give me a estimate so I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The technician came out wearing a face mask, gloves and booties. I have had several repairmen in my home over the last two weeks. He was the only one wearing protective gear. We have had an annual service agreement with Weather Master on our existing heating and cooling system for three years. They are always courteous, professional and helpful. We are grateful that they check our heating and cooling systems twice per year to keep them running perfectly! They are also technically knowledgeable about the system and offer suggestions about how we can maintain them to enhance their efficiency. Haven't had to call them for one repair to date, which is pretty incredible. We highly recommend Weather Master!

We moved to a house that has a HVAC with warranty from Weather master. The warranty papers were given by the previous home owner, it says its transferrable to the new owne.Called weather master, first they said there's no warranty on my unit, please buy our annual service contract. Then they said it had a warranty that expired last month, please buy our annual service contract. I challenged it saying its saying the warranty is good till 2025. Then they said oh yeah I read the year wrong, its good till 2025, but it doesnt transfer. Told them I have the warranty papers and asked them what does it cover to which I was told your ac unit is 11 years old you should consider buying an annual service to tune up the AC unit. When I pressed them to know what does the warranty cover now so that I have clear expectations, they routed the call to voicemail :)Edit: WeatherMaster tried to understand my concern and provided prompt and professional service. Thus updating my review to 4 stars.

In my newly built home less than 36 hours and discovered a major plumbing problem...the hard way...drainage pipe backup all over my lower level bathroom!!! After remembering where to find the emergency after hours list, I called Weather Masters HVAC and Tom O. answered. He came out at 6pm on a Saturday, quickly found the cause and did what he could to get me through until Monday. Tom O. was friendly, knowledgeable and very understanding of the urgency. Thank goodness because I had family in town and after moving nobody had the energy to pick up and go to a hotel.

We had used Weathermaster for years... this is our LAST.Our heater stopped working (coldest day of the year, of course) and the tech came out and knew the problem didn't run a system check, but had plenty of time to check out our crawlspace and creep out my wife with (non sexual) comments that made her feel uncomfortable and unsafe and then lay down a sales pitch for crawlspace services, etc.Thursday: No heat day 1 - Part (pressure switch) had to be ordered, he left after charging $80 for service call and an estimate of ~ $250 for labor (parts were under manufacturer warranty)Friday: No heat day 2 - we called them several times to follow up about the status of the part, got dumped into voicemailboxesSaturday: No heat day 3 - we contacted them again, part didn't arrive. We asked the tech if this meant we were stuck all weekend without any heat. Response was pretty much. Weathermaster finally contacts us saying the part will be sent and arrive sometime Monday.We got an independant HVAC repair contractor to come out and see what could be done - he actually scanned the system and read the instructions on the unit cover panel: check for condensate line blockage... there it was... condensate had frozen a blockage in the drain line and tripped the switch. The switch was fine. Problem solved in about 15 minutes.Goodbye Weathermaster.

Andrew was here for a maintenance visit of our HVAC system. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. He explained everything in terms that were easy to understand, and he showed me video of the interior of our air supply ductwork so I could see how clean it was. He answered all my questions clearly. He also reviewed an issue of temperature balance we have in part of our home, and recommended a free estimate by a qualified technician with Weathermaster. He even set up the appointment for the estimate on the spot so I could choose a time that was good for me. I will ask for Andrew to be scheduled for our future service & 6 month maintenance visits!

Jesus Raya literally spent the day making repairs and improvements to my Air Conditioning system. He worked a half day yesterday looking over the three levels in the home. I showed him the areas of the home that had moisture problems. We discussed the components that needed to be replaced as well as the improvements that were needed because the house was built in the 1970s.On both days, Mr. Raya worked hard and constantly. He was familiar with all aspects of the air conditioning system as well as the equipment needed to make the necessary improvements. I was pleased with all aspects of Jesus Raya’s work.

Daniel was very professional and knowledgeable. He was a pleasure to work with, answered all questions and provided honest, straightforward feedback. I had a thermostat replaced along with a semiannual HVAC checkup and needed a capacitor replaced resulting in a rather expensive service call. I expressed my concern with ongoing expenses related to modern day HVAC systems, which seem to be never ending and he was understanding regarding this. Overall, he was one of the very best service technicians I have had from this company and would like to have him back when service is needed in the future.

Very disappointed in Weathermaster sales and service. We were charged $129 for a new filter (can buy online for $28). Every maintenance call ends up with a several hundred dollar part (furnace is only 3 years old). Nearly impossible to call and speak with a person to help you. Often no one answers and you have to leave a message--then, call not returned. They don't care if you stop doing business with them. No one has called to hear our concerns.

Weathermaster kindly honored the 10 year warranty on a Select series furnace / AC unit. After 8 years, the coil in the crawlspace unit had a pinhole leak and was losing Freon. Gabriel, one of the HVAC techs, replaced the coil with a new one. It wasn't easy in that cramped space. I hope it lasts longer than 8 years.

I had a WeatherMastee technician out to my home and he double charged my debit card (unknown to me until after he left). I have not been trying to get in touch with someone in the WeatherMaster offices who can reverse the double charge for days. I keep being routed to a voicemail and I keep leaving messages but no one ever calls me back or contacts me period. I need this double charge reversed ASAP. I would appreciate someone contacting me as soon as possible about this. Thank you!

Outstanding company. I give my absolute highest recommendation for Weather Master. We had significant performance issues with one of of HVAC units. It had been serviced by multiple companies and continued to operate poorly. We received a recommendation to use Weather Master. Upon arrival they quickly diagnosed multiple problems. For the first time in 5 summers the unit ran at peak efficiency. I have continued to use their annual service plan and remain completely satisfied.Jakob did a fine job today. He was professional and highly competent. He is a great representative of Weather Master.

Had WM come when our AC unit froze in. It was storming pretty badly and David the tech did not want to go outside so he spent all of his time inside chatting about nonsense. He couldn't determine the problem so he called another tech to come and collaborate. Neither went outside to the AC unit where the problem began. He really never determined exactly why it froze just made a bunch of could be's. But at the time reported that all ducts were clean and everything working properly, there could be a short in the system but his readings didn't show specifically, and we need a new blower pump. David returned to install. Shortly after installation our blowers quit working. The tech that came said it was installed and David had the wiring backwards so he fixed it. Today we had the semi-annual maintenance check and David showed up. Suddenly today we have support ducts that are full of mold. We received no indication as to why this is all of a sudden here when it was clear in July and we received no indication as to what caused this problem. Instead AFTER he left he sent a picture and a bunch of different types of air purifier brands and suggests a UV light. We JUST moved into this home and there was full inspection. Within two months WM had been to our home to examine at least 3 times. They clearly do not inspect thoroughly when the weather is bad and David is more interested in chatting about his wife and dog than inspecting and repairing the AC/Furnace. My home is now full of mold and this could have been avoided with a competent diligent technician. Now we are $700 in to have this all cleaned up and paying to have a competent company come and examine how it happened. When you pay for a company to maintain your unit, you expect it to be maintained!! I suggest you do your homework or you will be spending far more money than you expect and putting your health at risk. This is inexcusable when we have lived in this home less than one year and had 4 inspections in that time.

I recently had a plumbing problem; no water came out of the faucets and spigots. This was late evening, and fortunately after about an hour, the water came back. I called WeatherMaster (we have the Maintenance plan), and about an hour later, Tom Ouimet returned my call. Tom is the Head Technician at Weather Master. I explained what had happened, and that fortunately the water had come back on, but we still would like to have it looked at to diagnose the problem. Tom said that since we had water at that time, why didn’t he come in the morning, so we agreed to meet at the house at 7 AM.Tom got here at 7 the next morning as scheduled, and I showed him where the well was outside and the water tank was under the house. At this time, the water was still working as it should, so it was an intermittent problem, and I knew would be harder to diagnose. Tom checked the water tank and pressure, and everything he could under the house, and all seemed to be working under the house as it should.That only left the water pump, which was at the bottom of a 150 ft submersible well. The pump had been replaced 21 years ago, and so I knew it was on borrowed time. 21 years ago, the price of the pump and installation was about $2,000. So, I asked Tom to give me an estimate on how much it would cost to install a new pump, expecting it to be a minimum of $3,000 now. Much to my surprise, the estimate was only a couple hundred dollars higher than it was from when it was replaced 21 years ago, and Tom said he would replace a couple of extra accessories in the water system for no charge, which I know would cost a few hundred dollars apiece if we had to replace separately on a service call. When he said that, I told him to go ahead and replace the pump. I was very pleased with the cost estimate.Tom had stopped by my house early that morning, and I knew he had another call to go to after he left my house. As far as scheduling when the actual work would be done, since the pump apparently just started to fail and it was an intermittent problem, I figured that as long as we could get the pump replaced sometime in the next week, we’d be doing okay. But Tom rearranged his schedule and arranged to have a coworker come help him install the pump (we have a wellhouse built over the pump for decoration purposes, which make the pump harder to replace due to space restrictions) that day. So, the two of them replaced the pump that afternoon.I am so appreciate of Weather Master and especially Tom Ouiemet for their quick response, for working us in so quickly on a major job, and especially for a very competitive price. The bill was exactly as he said. I had been worried that when the pump did eventually fail, we’d be without water for a while before it could be repaired, and would be very inconvenient. As it was, the water was only out while the pump was being replaced, which was negligible. The entire problem was resolved in one workday, and at a good price. I am very pleased with Tom and WeatherMaster, and would strongly recommend them to anyone who needs their services.

Andy came out today to help repair a leak at our house and he was excellent. He was friendly, laid back, and extremely efficient at diagnosing the issue and then providing an estimate before immediately moving into the repair. He arrived at 2:30 and was done with the entire repair within an hour! I can’t say enough good things about Andy and we’ll definitely recommend him to others.

These guys advertise that they are open 24/7 - I called them around 7:15pm for an emergency service call to address my broken A/C. Customer service took down all of my info and told me I would hear back from them in 20 minutes. Around 9:30pm (more than 2 hours later) someone called and asked me if anyone called me! By that time I had already found someone else who came to the house, diagnosed the problem, ordered the appropriate parts, had a friendly conversation, and left. Long story short, I didn't receive service from them, but it seems they are not reliable for emergency calls.

Daniel came out for a check on our downstairs system (as part of a maintenance contract), but volunteered to check on our upstairs system as well (which is not part of the contract since it's a very old system) and found some things that definitely needed attention (as I said, it's old... he even arranged for one of their guys to come in and give us a quote because we know it's lasted way past the average lifespan but will need replaced soon). He wasn't just drumming up business... he was genuinely concerned about a very old system (one they put in over 18 years ago).

Absolute worst experience that $15,000 will buy you. Purchased 2 systems from Weather Master in 2011; upstairs in the Spring and then downstairs in the Fall. Not one year has gone by since that I have not experienced multiple problems with my heating and cooling systems that despite being under warranty results in a continual flow of money out of my pocket to them. Upon replacing 20 year old systems my expectation was to have peace of mind but from day one it has been completely the opposite. To make matters worse, after multiple request to speak with senior management to address my concerns I was never contacted. Do not under any circumstance use Weather Master. They do not stand behind their product and do not accept responsibility for anything.

I would give them zero stars if that was an option. Bought a whole new air unit a year ago from this company and when it failed last week, they could not come for service/repair for a whole week. Reassuring Solutions!Emergency service call 9:30 PM late Thursday night....Daniel F.....Excellent service technician offered huge relief and soluntions!! Very kind, patient, and understanding our urgent need for service expediently inspected our HVac dilemma and expertly evaluated system malfunction. In layman terms he precisely explained reason our system not working in high humid 90 degree temperatures. He complained the whole time he was here about the time money mad because it was out the five it was upset because it was a all days job so I went with another company just behind his service of not doing a my job got done a very next day the one to ten he gets a zero and I have a picture to show where he dig the hole and did not try to fix

Atrocious service after the sale. I scheduled a service call for a rental property. They gave me a 9am-12am window. I waited at the property beginning at 9:00 am. They should have let me know they couldn't make the scheduled time without me having to call.. Then they called at 11:30 and said we have a technician on the way. I drove back over there. Then they called at 12:00 and said. I apologize but we had to send your technician on another call. I asked them to give me a time of their choosing and they said I had to wait for the remainder of the afternoon until they gave me 30 minutes of lead time. If you have a job, children or prefer to do anything but wait for a repairman to maybe come or not, then do not use Weather Master. They are disrespectful of client's time and their obligations. At the very least if they know they will be late they need to communicate that to clients so people are not waiting for someone with no intention of showing up.

Our new technician was very through and was able to give answers to all the questions my wife and I had. He provided me pictures with areas he had concerns with in our house that was just built a few months prior, so I could raise concerns with the builder. He said they were able to fix anything the builder would be unable or unwilling to fix. We are seeing what our builder can do now and we hope to have Solomon back to add some additional items our house was not equipped with.

On 8/1/2016. Called in the morning, and Repair scheduled for the same afternoon. AC needed repair and Rassie arrived right on time.Problem found right away (inevitably, a starting capacitor). Fixed quickly and cleanly.Great Service_______________________on 8/8/2016 I had arranged a followup visit for a complete AC system check. Chico arrived, did a great job checking all electrical systems and confirmed that Freon load was completely in-spec. Made some observations of things to watch out for in the future.Another Great serviceBoth service staff use protective booties when entering, to avoid tracking in outside mud & junk. Now that's a great idea all companies should follow.

Our AC went out on 8/25. I was pleased were able to get our unit serviced the same day, as I have 2 smaller children. The technician was nice; however, I was disappointed by the sales tactic of trying to charge us additional fees for things we didn't need. Specifically, our unit required a new dual capacitor to run. On the quote he provided, he also said we needed a Hard Start Capacitor. Unfortunately, I was at work at the time of this and my husband was at home, so the technician was communicating this to me via phone. When I asked why we needed to replace the Hard Start Capacitor, he said it was because it was burnt and needed to be replaced. I told my husband to make sure he saw this before deciding if we really needed to replace. Low and behold, turns out we NEVER had a Hard Start Capacitor to begin with.... so why did the technician tell me it needed to be replaced because it was burned? I'm a new homeowner and don't know everything there is to know about AC; however, this would've cost of an additional $300 for something we didn't NEED to get our AC back and running. The only thing we needed was the dual capacitor. From my research, Hard Start Capacitors are useful when living in an old home; however, our home is 2.5 years old. I was surprised at the cost to repair the capacitor given we have a warranty through Carrier. The technician informed us the cost of repair also included having to use their parts and seek replacement parts from the manufacturer. I understand we would still have to pay for labor; however it doesn't make sense to me that the homeowner is responsible for an extra fee for getting the company requesting a replacement part from the manufacturer, given there is a warranty in place.Then he tells us that there is a Freon leak somewhere. As stated, our home is only 2.5 years old and we have a sealed system, so this shouldn't be the case. When I asked how this could be so, he replied it was likely due to not being installed correctly or defective parts. Weathermasters installed our unit. He gave an expensive quote to test for a leak; however, I don't see why I should have to pay for that OR the possible repair if clearly it's due to a defect or faulty workmanship by their company. I'm not even sure to trust if this is actually a problem or we are just being told this. He told us we could add some Freon to charge the unit; however, he didn't have any with him so someone will have to come back out to the house to look into it. I'm sure when they come back, they'll find another thing to overcharge us for. Overall, I'm nervous about them even having to come back because I don't feel I can trust these professionals. If they were not the servicer though my HVAC warranty, I believe I would go with a different company who wasn't so interested in making an extra buck when homeowners are in an emergency.Update: after my review, I was contacted by the customer service manager, Jim. There is a reason he holds this job. Very professional and understanding. He sent out the repair supervisor who did further testing and we indeed, had a leak. They performed the additional testing at no cost to us, which I greatly appreciate. The repair supervisor was very detailed and thorough. Totally not pushy or trying to upsale. (I Really wish I could remember his name because he deserves credit!). The cost to replace the the evaporator coil was pretty expensive ($1400 out of pocket, after the warranty claim), so we decided to hold off for now, since it wasn’t completely necessary we replace it at this time. I do appreciate the company listening to my complaint and working to rectify the situation.

Don't bother calling if you need emergency service, even if you have a service contract with them. Here's my story - WeatherMaster installed the gas pack with another owner of house about 9 years earlier, I have a service contract with them. I woke up one winter night and it was 50ish in the house, nothing coming out of registers, I go grab a space heater just to warm up the bedroom a bit. At 7am I call their number, guy answers, sounds half asleep, I tell him my issue, he asks for my address and says they can be there around 10am. Ten am comes and goes so I call to get the status, women tells me that they have no record of the call and overnight service can't give times, so sorry abou that. It's a Wednesday morning, says next available appt is next Tuesday, 6 days later!!! But she tells me that she'll go talk to someone and they can surely get it earlier, I ask her to call me back once she knows. Later that same day I've received no call back so I call, same woman answers and tells me she spoke to fellow employee and nothing can be arranged at this time any earlier, says she'll call if anything comes, could be 30 min notice. In the meantime I research the model myself and perform a reset and all is good now but I would stay away from any company that can't bend over backwards to help a customer in need, people can't wait 6 days to get the heat back on.

I was due for my semi-annual inspection of our dual fuel system. I encountered a problem at the same time. (what a coincidence?). With one day of high temperature recently, I turned on the air conditioning and the heat pump was blowing hot air! I was able to get a fairly quick appointment with Weathermaster who I have been using for many years. The technician checked the systems and diagnosed my problem relatively quickly. The warrantied part is on order and my problem will be resolved very soon.

Andres quickly figured out the source of our low water pressure and lack of hot water upstairs, replaced the valve in the crawl space, and got us back to good hot showers. Then he diagnosed a longstanding problem with a toilet flange on a concrete slab downstairs that had been leaking under the toilet. He cut through the slab and installed a new sewer pipe. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and skilled.

Hurley was a pleasure to work with. We had cooling problems on Christmas eve and he came out to help us. You would think he would have a bit of an attitude having to work on Christmas but he did not. He was very jovial and was very interested in finding the problem and fixing it. After fixing the problem with the cooling system we told him about the distribution of heat and cooling throughout the house. The house is new and we are just finding things that should be corrected. Hurley went into the attic and adjusted the registers to have a more balance distribution throughout the house. When he was all finished he asked if there were any other problems he could help us with and told us to contact him if we had any more problems. A true professional!!

Tony was excellent. We had issues for 3 days with our brand new HVAC system. He stayed out and worked on the system for many hours trying to make sure that it was perfect. I had to call him at 3 in the morning and he offered to come out and work on it then but I told him to just come out at 7. He was there right at 7 and had been up since 3 researching what the issue was. He was very friendly and courteous and a very diligent worker. He called me the day after he finally got it completely fixed just to make sure that it was still working correctly. What a great experience. Hope I won't have to see them again but they were fantastic to work with.

So far, so good. The tech inspected the area and decided it was not a plumbing leak. He recommended revising the caulking as it appears water was seeping into the space behind the tile and then back out. It gives me something to try myself rather than an expensive and possibly unnecessary valve repair/replacement. He showed up early after calling to let me know and was very careful and helpful with answering questions. They changed out my Apollo water heater a few years ago and did a great job then.

I simply don’t have the words to express my gratitude to them.The work they did took many days.They came to my house several times to check the central AC system over the course of a month.Then they replaced the entire condensing coil.They had to redo all the joints that were wrongfully done by someone else that I hired prior to them.They replaced some of the copper pipes and the filter.They even had to replace the compressor!Despite all these efforts, they did not overcharge me!They went far beyond what I was expecting from them & above what I contracted them to do. Yet, they didn’t raise my bill. They kept the agreed-upon price the same!Their work is very professional, precise, and sincere.No matter how much effort & time the work requires, they will do it without hesitation.They don't finalize their work before making sure everything is perfect.I have had this house for 4 years.My AC system is warranted by the manufacturer for 5 years.But that warranty covers parts only, not labor. So, I have to pay 100% of the labor.The supervisor of Whether Master “ Mr. Jim”, however, was very generous to give me a 50% discount on labor.And they got all the parts at no cost to me from the manufacturer under warranty

Excellent Service. So first....I have never written a review but felt compelled to do so. I first called Michael and Sons for an estimate to reattach my external meter box to the house (it had come loose at some point and was pulling away from the house). Michael and Sons told me the whole box needed to be replaced and gave me an estimate of $3300. I just needed the box reattached not replaced but they assured me that it needed to be replaced.....BS. I called Weather Master, they were at my house with in an hour to provide an estimate. Jesus the technician was Fantastic. Very professional and knowledgable. He provided me with an estimate to complete the work for $225. Jesus returned the following morning and quickly made the repair and had the power restored. Great experience and Jesus was the best. The work was exceptional. Glad there are still honest and reputable companies out there that aren't trying to take advantage of their customers. They have gained a customer for life and I would highly recommend Weather Master!!!

We are so happy with the service from weathermaster. They initially upgraded our gas line so we could switch from an electric stove to a gas stove. They arrived early for the appt. and were polite, professional and knowledgable. The gas co had not purged the line so we had no heat. Weathermaster came the very next morning and took care of it. They had great attitudes so early in the morning. We would highly recommend them.

Brandon came in response to my call for a master bathroom toilet fixture which wasn't working properly and needed new flush valve, flap, etc. Further, a second bathroom was in need of repairs from a previous leak which had caused damage to the ceiling and was repaired with an insurance claim.Brandon listened to my priorities, analysed the repairs needed, outlined his suggestions and costs in a calm and methodical manner. His explanations were precise and sensible.After his repairs for the crucial commode, we agreed to have a second visit for the remainder of work needed. He outlined in writing the suggestions for this along with costs. This after a total inspection and analysis of my entire plumbing problems (or potential needs).I was totally satisfied with his work. As always, I hated spending money. But like a great meal at a restaurant, it was much easier to swallow knowing the work was done properly and professionally.I trust Brandon and his company, and would highly recommend them. My daughter recommended them initially since her experience had been good.I follow suit. Prompt, courteous, professional, and honest!My hats off to this company and Brandon!

Will never use again. Our 2nd floor AC was not working. Weather master sent two technicians out and they both diagnosed our issue as a broken compressor and a thermal expansion value. Parts were under warranty but the labor was going to be $1700. We thought this was ridiculous and to make matters worse they had no idea when the part would be in to fix the issue and it was the beginning of July. We decided to get a second opinion since the cost seemed high to us. Little did we know that the second opinion would be that the compressor was fine and the value was the issue. Cost of labor was only $150. Two technicians being wrong seems a little fishy to us, so it appears to be a scam that they send a second tech out as reassurance.

So my grandmother was upsold on this great lennox system that will just keep it unbelievabley cold and we have had nothing but problens with it, and the repairs weathermaster has done since. They have been to our home numerous times and it still is almost 80 degrees during the day in our house. They have used every excuse in the book, as well as been extremely rude to my fiancee who has done everything possible to help them do their job...and as of today, 3 months later, knowing we have my senior father in the home, and children..it is still not fixed. DO NOT use this company, look at some of their other reviews..and you will see that my experience is something that happens with regularity. Call another hvac company and dont put your childrens or your own health at risk...or have to go all summer with it boiling inside your home. There are more reasonable, better qualty wotkmansip companies in the area, and im wishing i would have used them.

I have used Weathermasters for over 4 years now and every time they come to my house to address an issue I have or do annual heat/cool checks, they are exceptional to deal with. First of all, they are always on time and always put a mat down at the front door to clean their shoes on top of wearing booties in the house which means a lot as my wife and I have a very clean house. And the service techs are always polite and courteous and address the issues without trying to add more work to what needs to be done. They are very fair and I HIGHLY recommend them!!!

It turns out that Weather Master was not to blame for the heat in my house yesterday. Tracey came out to my house last night and confirmed that my AC was working properly and pointed out that there is a Progress Energy EngeryWise Home Program box installed at my house and that this was likely the cause. Apparently, Progress Energy has a program that allows them to temporarily reduce energy consumption during times of unusually high energy demand by cycling power off and on to your air conditioner’s compressor a portion of each half hour. (The fan continues to operate normally.) When activated, the cycles occur for up to four hours, typically between 1 and 7 p.m. I did not know I had opted-in for this program. I called Progress Energy this morning and they confirmed that they did turn on a cycle to reduce energy usage in my area from 3-6pm yesterday which explains why my house was hot, but seriously my reduced energy supply caused my thermostat to be 4 degrees off from what I set it to so that it was 77 degrees in my house during the heat of the day!! Even though it was hot in my house yesterday, I'm glad to at least know the cause and to know that this time, thankfully, it was NOT my AC unit or subsequently Weather Master!! I have deleted my review of Weather Master from yesterday and would like to send a BIG thank you to Tracey for responding to my call so quickly and literally dropping everything to come help. He was a pleasure to work with and by far my favorite Weather Master service man!

HVAC service technician was very professional and pleasant. I would have given 5 stars if didn’t take 3 phone calls over 4 hours to get someone to help me make an appointment for emergency no heat.

I was able to get someone here within 24 hours. Very friendly and knowledgeable. David explained my issues and options to fix them and give me his recommendation. I really appreciate that he took the time to explain everything, and I feel good about the decision. Definitely will recommend to anyone who needs service or is considering a new unit.

Hi All,I recently moved in to a new home and after 4-5 months suddenly my AC stop working at 2nd floor. I have 2 kids and here weather changes a lot, sometime reached 90 degree. Likewise, I called customer case to create a warranty ticket, and they told me no one is available to fix the issue for 1 week. Furthermore, I am asking whether master team should I move to someone home to save our life in this situation?I will suggest all please stay away from these people. Get someone who give good service.

Reggie F visited my home to service both of my HVAC systems prior to the upcoming hot North Carolina summer. He was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable of the systems. I spent 75% of my time with him while he was performing the service just learning what is included in their multi-point inspection. I felt that Reggie was reliable, trustworthy and dedicated to his work (making it right and making you happy). I received great service from a reputable individual.

Brandon is a Very knowledgeable and professional technician! Also a down to earth guy and friendly. Had a problem with little heat coming out and, cold in some rooms vs others. Brandon investigated thoroughly and corrected my problem in a short amount of time. I look forward to continue doing business with him and his company.

I couldn't have been more impressed with Iggy, the technician who came out to service my unit. Iggy was extremely professional and clearly an expert at his craft. He took the time to explain to me exactly what he was doing, things to keep an eye on and recommendations for the future. I'll definitely be calling Weather Master for any future HVAC needs. Five star service and five star personnel!
