Air air conditioner went out today and it’s 87° in my house. The guy came and tried to fix it. Put a couple parts on did not work. Going to get a new one tomorrow I hope.

Our technician installed a hot water heater and completed other plumbing repairs. He displayed integrity immediately by explaining every step of the process to us and inviting us to observe his work. After he left, we noticed the smell of propane gas that required the response of the fire department. As soon as our technician was made aware of the leak, he came out and corrected the error, issued an apology, and added further fail-safes to his work to ensure the safety and longevity of the equipment. We are extremely impressed with our technician's workmanship and character, and we are pleased with how he handled this incident.In our effort to get in touch with our technician upon first noticing the leak, we were met with an extremely unprofessional customer service representative. I called at 8 pm, and she said that there were no technicians available until 12 pm the next day. I shared how scared we were to have a potential gas leak, especially with a one-year-old in our house. She said that there was nothing she could do, that all of her technicians were busy, and to call the fire department. My husband got on his phone and called the fire department, and they were at our house within 5 minutes. Two fire trucks worth of firemen entered the house, found the gas leak, and mitigated the issue.Meanwhile, my husband and I continued to try to explain to the customer service representative that we needed a technician at the house immediately. She put us on hold at least four times before returning to say that nothing could be done. All she was able to do was message her boss on a messaging app, who reportedly was not at his desk right now and is unable to respond.I shared with the customer service agent that if I got a call from a scheduled technician that there was an emergency gas leak at someone else's house, and they needed to postpone my appointment, I would be more than happy to accommodate those in the emergency. The customer service rep had the nerve to respond that because it's been so hot out, they had a high volume of service calls and could not help me. I knew how hot it was because I was standing outside my gas filled house, so that was a hurtful thing for her to say.The day after the incident, we received a call from Lou, the general manager of Michael and Son. He had taken the time to listen to our 45 minute phone call with the customer service rep. Lou explained that there is a protocol in place to escalate incidents such as ours, and that the customer service rep ignored the protocol. Lou apologized profusely for the poor customer service, shared the actionable steps he was taking to ensure such negligence would not occur again, and made substantial efforts to rebuild trust.pros: technician, general manager, efforts to address areas of improvementcons: customer service call center

He diagnosed my condenser’s compressor issue within minutes and gave me a straightforward analysis of my options. We continue to use Michael & Sons because of their top notch service and communication. Tyler (Electrical) also stopped by with a moment’s notice to ensure I did not have any electrical issues. I appreciate them coordinating this issue to make sure we were taken care of properly!

The came out and resolved my toilet issue which morphed into a larger issue. They were on time, polite and kept me informed the entire time and made sure I was aware of repairs and costs. I will be using them again

I called Thursday evening around 6:00pm when I got home and discovered my AC was not working. They were able to schedule be an appointment for Friday morning and Jonathan showed up shortly after 8:00am. He was very nice and took the time to answer all of my questions and make sure I knew what my options were. I have a 22 year old unit, but he got it back up and running with 20 minutes of being at my house. He provided great customer service and I will certainly call them again when needed.

Great service! Mike was able to pivot quickly when he discovered that we had bought the wrong size toilet for replacement, he drove to the warehouse and got the right one installed within hours. Would use Michael & Son Services in the future!

Ryan D. was great. I had a water heater issue and he was able to diagnose it quickly and get it repaired right away. He walked me through what caused the problem and the resolution. He answered all my questions and gave me advice on future items to look at and be aware of as my house is older.

Replaced leaking water heater on a Saturday when I called at 8am. Completed by 4. Plumbers were very professional and communicated well. Price was high but I wasn’t in a position to price shop and they are likely well aware of that on a Saturday. System was only 7 years old. Lots of drywall damage as the prior company didn’t install the drain pan properly. Not sure why these builders in North Carolina put these in the attic. Stupid and cheap.

I am very satisfied with the service. We called on Thursday because our AC was not working and it was time to replace it. We made an appointment to see the options we had, the technician Sean explained everything very well and very professional. The price for the replacement was not bad for other estimates that other companies gave me.On Saturday Victor installed the new AC. He was very fast and professional. So far everything is working very well. They did a very good job.

Miguel was extremely fast and professional. Had our system running again in 15 minutes and made sure we had warranty to cover the repairs.

Michael and Sons was extremely responsive. We caused a leak and they arrived within an hour of my phone call to repair. They called and emailed ahead of arrival and we’re very thorough and fast with the repair. We just couldn’t have had any better service. They were great.

Got an issue with roots growing into the sewer line. Matt came. Very professionally showed me what we can find using the camera. He helped break the roots using drain jetting tools and solved the issue. Also helped scheduled for the pipe replacement. Very good and timely service.

Edward was awesome. On time and quick to assess the issue. Resolved in minutes. Took extra time to verify the system was working and recommended steps for ongoing maintenance. I don't want my AC to go out again, but if it does, I hope to get Edward again.

Technician was friendly and very good. Prices are outrageous. To replace 2 cartridges, seats & springs was roughly $480. I know the cartridges are $15 each and the seats & springs less than $5, retail. My original appointment was booked online, for which I received a confirmation email. One hour after the scheduled window, nothing, so I called. I was nowhere to be found in the system. Had to book a new appointment, fortunately for later the same day.

Our upstairs air went out and got an appointment for next morning with Michael and Sons when other services were a few weeks out. Hunter arrived within window and identified and fixed issues within the hour. Great service provider!

We were very happy with our technition from Michael and Son. He was thorough and spent time explaining and answering our questions.

We discovered a leak in our ceiling from our water heater and contacted Michael and Sons because their reputation preceded them. Fabian came this morning to inspect the issue and had amazing communication and professionalism before he even arrived. He diagnosed the issue, explained lots of things along the way, was very patient because we recently bought the house and didn't have all relevant information, and got to work quickly. The issue was a lot bigger than we thought but he got it taken care of, including calling in reinforcements. We have new shut offs and a new water heater the same day they came and plans to keep it well maintained. Never had to call a plumber before but glad we called them!

Deceptive sales tactics. Instead of quoting to replace a pipe they tried to quote 2800$ for full hot water heater and pipes due to “liability”. Be cautious when using and get second quote.

My heat pump was replaced by Michael & Son the week of July 4. David worked all day putting in the new unit, taking out the old, replacing stuff under the house and putting in a new thermostat. When something wasn’t working quite right David took the extra time to make sure everything was fixed and running smoothly. He even left us his number in case the fix didn’t work. He did an awesome job with all of the work. Was friendly and easy to communicate with. Another great employee of Michael & Son. Definitely recommend them.

Frank did a great job. Came by earlier than anticipated on a Saturday and (as far as I can tell) did impeccable work.

Repair technician was at my house within an hour of my call. Promptly resolved the issue and went above and beyond to make sure new fixture was working properly. Outstanding service,and I will most definitely use them again.

David, the technician, was prompt & courteous. During the repair of the toilet, he recommended replacement as the toilet was decades old & the repairs I requested could cost as much as replacement plus there was still a leak. The old toilet was not consumption efficient. I was very pleased with the new toilet, and the neat & clean way the installation was done. I will use Michael &Son for future plumbing repairs. It was easy to book, the technician showed up on time and was very knowledgeable. New faucet was installed quickly and works great.

They are not trust worthy. Even though the tech repaired our daughter line. The amount they charged was outrageous and plus we were told they would give us 10% military but instead gave us 5%. The tax added but no one was able to give me the % they used to arrived at total. I called and I got the run around, one person tells me one thing and then the manger Brad was supposed to call me back on today-Monday, but he never did. If you ever need any plumbing service I pray and hope you find someone who will treat you with honesty and respect. When you’re not honest you’re straightforward liar’s.

My A/C stopped working on one of our hottest days yet. I called, got a same day appointment, and am now sitting in a cool house. Daniel Hughes was my technician and he was the BEST! He kept me informed, left things cleaner than he found them, and fixed my problem! He also gave me a game plan for what to look out for and what might happen next based on how old my unit is. I could not be happier with the way things turned out today.

We needed our house repiped and a new hot water tank. After getting multiple quotes from several plumbers we chose Michael & Son, The process was easy, we filled out a service request online, the next day a technician performed an inspection and presented multiple options and prices for the work to be performed. We chose the option we were comfortable with and the next day the job was completed by the end of the day. The work crew showed up on-time, they worked in the rain and late into the afternoon until complete. They were respectful of our property inside and out. Special shout out to Lawrence, Geovani, Luis and Alex, Y'all made this process easy for us.

Michael and sons has a focus on maintenance. This critical because last longer and perform longer when they are taken care of. Miguel was timely, courteous, and knowledgeable about the hvac system m.

Tom was right on time, extremely knowledgeable about plumbing, tankless water heaters, and knew every detail about our heater specifically. Diagnosed the problem very quickly, and provided a quote. Very professional.

Heard water leaking between first and second floor, so we turned off the main. Called Michael and Sons and they came quickly and found that a drywall nail had punctured the hot water line in a closet upstairs. Looks to have been done from construction as many drywall nails poke towards piping in the wall - many near misses! The technical was able to repair the pipe quickly and verified that there were no other leaks.

Michael and Son has helped us with a water heater and air conditioning issue in the past few months. Miguel came out today for a leaking heat pump. He was knowledgeable, helpful and prompt. Great service!

Called early this morning and described my issue and was pleasantly surprised to get an appointment the same day. Received a text with a photo and message about the tech. They arrived on time, quickly assessed my tanks water heater to find that it was working correctly. Turned out that the issue was a bad PRV under the house. After a complete explanation they quickly replaced the PRV and rechecked the water heater. What an incredible experience. Special shout out to the two techs. They were very personable and professional. Highly recommend them and the company.

After I realized that we had no hot water, I called M & Son because I had already had a great experience on a plumbing issue with the company. They were able to send someone the next day and I was so relieved being a single parent with 2 boys in the house! I know very little about these things having been an apartment dweller for 20 years. Mr. Castillo was kind and patient, thorough in his explanation, and got to work on the problem at hand. I decided to go with a new water heater after discussing options, pricing, warranties, etc. He went to pick up the new water heater before they closed for the day so that he could complete the work. After some time and communication... Hot water!!!I realized much later that the pressure of the hot water diminished after a short amount of time, and reached back out to see what could be done. He was able to find a time to come and fix the problem with the new unit quickly, and all is well!!! I highly recommend this company, and Juan Castillo for the above and beyond service!

We had a great experience with Michael and Sons for our water leak. Same day service was very much appreciated. Fabian came first to assess the water leak and he was able to fix the pipes in a short amount of time. Zachary came in next to assess the water damage and coordinate mitigation efforts. Mark implemented the mitigation over the next several days until the affected areas were demoed and dried. Excellent quality of work and communication from every member of the team. Had to call for service after 5 pm, left a voicemail, and they were able to send a technician out within a couple hours at most. They also provided a picture and time estimate of the technicians arrival which is very helpful ensuring it’s not a stranger posing as a tech.Logan was very knowledgeable, friendly, and provided great service. He was able to fix the problem and was very honest when asked questions. I had tried contacting others before but had no luck, and I think it worked out. I could not be happier by the service, honestly impressed!I HIGHLY recommend giving them a call and I’ll keep them in mind should I need any help with my A/C in the future.I write this in my cold A/C happy as a clam!

First off they completely missed my time window by over an hour. Next after having specifically told dispatch that I wanted someone who would be able to check my line in the wall for a leak and to make sure they had the equipment to do that they did not do that. Next the guy tried to convince me that there wasn't a leak even though last summer even though we brought up the fact that my unit in the attic was sweating which in his own words indicates a leak. I was completely out of freon and this summer I was down a pound a a half. I don't know if he just couldn't be bothered to look or didn't read the work notes or what. But basically they didn't do what I had called them out to do. Never going to use their services again.

Technician did excellent work and very professional. Showed me all the work that was done, ensured i was happy with the work, and answered all my questions.

Electrician came on time and fixed the Electric outlet outside. He changed it and fixed my doorbell. He is professional and did his job perfectly.

I called Michael & Son following our laundry room, an appointment was made the appointment for the next day. We were informed who the assigned electrician would be and when they would arrive. The electrician Bernardo arrived on time and immediately got to work. He quickly identified that the issue was a short and where it was likely to be. After a thorough inspection and visually showing me issues, he carefully explained multiple options, allowing me to make an informed decision but stressing where he felt things were dangerous. The work agreed he got to work and found the short. Due to the location he said we don't need to do as much work as originally thought and adjusted the price. At the end of the first day, he cleaned up the room better than how it was when he arrived. On the second day, (He wanted to work later the night before, but we had plans) he diligently completed the work, all the time keeping me informed of what was going on. Our issue was very dangerous, a mouse had chewed through a cable and the resulting arcing had blackened the wood. I could go on, but IMO Michael & son are honest and committed to a quality service, taking pride in what they do. Bernardo was awesome, but I have no doubt the other electricians are just as good. Thanks for making my home safe again.

Hunter arrived with a friendly smile and professional demeanor. He explained what service would take place, where he needed to be in and out of our home, was very thorough with the service, and did exactly what his claimed up front. Hunter informed us of the good, bad, and unexpectedHunter also told us things to look out for as well as what may warrant a more in-depth service call. From the reminder text the day before, to the your technician is on the way and his name is Logan, it was professional, timely, and friendly. Logan did a great job just diagnosing multiple issues, changing the filter for me, crawling up in the attic in 90 degree heat, and all with a polite demeanor and a smile. At my request I signed up for the maintenance plan -- sounds like I mostly dodged a bullet with this being the first service in 6 years.

Super friendly telephone operator made scheduling an appointment quick and easy. It gave a great first impression of this company. They came out on time, fixed issue, and were a pleasure to work with. If we have issues in the future we would definitely call them again.

My technician, Miguel, arrived promptly within the 2 hr service window for our annual A/C check and maintenance. Miguel thoroughly explained what he was going to do and made sure all my questions were answered. He spent a lot of time going over everything, cleaning and fixing what he could. We discovered there was a leak in our ceiling but did not know if the leak was in our water line or the neighbor's water line. The plumber from Michael & Sons came out and opened the ceiling to locate and fix the leak. Restoration services were able to come and set up dehumidifier equipment to dry up the moisture where the leak occurred.

My experience with Michael & Son Services is my first experience with the company. I called on Sunday after finding out we had a serious water leak. Within in two hours Frank was at our door. He was courteous and professional. He had determination to find out problem and a solution. After understanding the issue, Frank went through every detail of exactly what needed to happen and explained in detail the cost of the job. He had a tablet which everything was itemized and clear. He went to work.Frank was friendly and responsive throughout the job if I had questions or was just plain curious. Frank, we knew is a 20 year veteran from the text I received letting me know he was on his way to our home. Right away I felt this situation, which was stressful, was in good hands. I felt cautious, as anyone would dealing with an expensive situation. I had a couple of loose light fixtures and one in a very difficult to reach area. Daegan came out to diagnose the issue and came back the next week to complete the work. He was extremely quick with the repairs and even noticed we had a loose doorknob and unprompted just fixed it real quick. My wife and were impressed with his level of service and professional and helping us find the most cost efficient options as well. I'll definitely be using them for future needs!

I understand the prices are in the high side because they guarantee not only their work, but also rapid response time.

Excellent experience. The person who came out took time to explain and do the work needed to remedy our system. He identified a wiring problem almost immediately that was causing our system to not work.

Needed to have a gas line capped that was no longer being used. Got someone out the next day. The young man was polite, knowledgeable, and walked me through a couple of options. He worked quickly and did a super job. Cost was very reasonable as well.

I have had extremely positive and extremely negative experiences with this company. Their plumbing department has been great to work with - all of their technicians have been professional and friendly. Their prices are reasonable and easy to understand. I've now used them several times and would highly recommend. But their restoration department is a totally different story. I think they did fine work, and the technician was nice, but they have given me the run around on pricing. The invoice I received after my services were completed was 20% (over $300) more than the estimate I agreed to. I understand the concept of an estimate, but I was never told that the price was changing so it came as a complete surprise. Since then, that department has been confrontational and defensive about their price gouging. I FINALLY got an answer as to why the price was more, and the largest factor was a known factor at the time of the original estimate (that some of the work would need to be done on the weekend). I've been told that their restoration department is pretty separate from everything else in terms of billing and customer service, so I'd say just stay away from that team. It's sad, too, because if someone needs restoration work done, they're clearly already going through a hard time.

Zachary Barrett was very professional and helpful while creating our estimate. He explained the whole process, showed us all his findings, answered all questions, and even gave us pointers on what we might expect based on his experience. He gives the sense that he cares about the outcome for the customer and would be a valuable asset to any company.

Lawrence got here as scheduled and was polite & courteous. He got right to work. Once he was done, he explained the issue to me in a way that I understood & talked about ways to prevent it from happening again. He was nothing but professional and understanding of our problem. I was very relieved that he could fix our clog so easily.

We recently used Michael & Son for a hot water heater installment. Our technician/plumber, Travis Harris, came out and was able to troubleshoot the issues we were having with our 20 yr old worn out water heater and make a recommendation for a new unit installation that would perfectly suit our needs. The quote was competitive and fair. Travis showed up on time and performed all work in a timely manner while kindly answering our questions. He was even able to solve another problem we'd been having (cold water bleeding into the loop line). Travis was determined to get the job done right, and was able to diagnose a complex issue that previous plumbers had not been able to solve and/or simply walked away from. Overall, we received excellent service all the way around and could not be more satisfied!

Frank was not able to fix my situation he did go over my options on what is needed to get it fixed. Our situation could be manageable without using that pipe. Only thing stopping him from fixing was access to the pipe.

Called on Friday and they were able to come the next morning to take care of my plumbing issues. On time very professional, explained what the issue was and what I may need to take care soon.

Expensive. The first plumber told me I would get new hoses and attachments. The plumber who came to complete the work said He didn't know anything about that. I agreed on a price because I was told certain things. That didn't happen.

Needed an emergency water heater replacement. Made an appointment the night before and Fabian showed up early the next morning. He talked me through all the options and was able to replace the unit same day. He was very efficient and very informative about the unit. Had hot water again by lunch time. Would definitely recommend and will use again in the future.

What a JOKE! Our hot water heater pipe was leaking. We paid for the emergency service call which turned out to be $280.The technician told us that to fix the leaking pipe it would be $1100.I looked up thr parts and saw that they were only $50. He then tried to scare us by saying that he could not come back until Monday, two days later. A new hot watwe heater from home depot is 500. To have it installed would be another 300 at best. This technician attempted to presure close us for $1100 as if we couldn't just look up the prices.I went to lowes and purchased the parts the next day and fixed it myself for less than $180.Do not do business with these people. They are definitely scam artists and will lie to you about the severity of the work needed. .SMH

Frank responded quickly to a weekend after-hours plumbing emergency we had. He worked quickly over two days and was extremely professional and thorough getting us back up and running again. 5-stars for sure!

I scheduled HVAC maintenance and am very satisfied with the service. The technician (Timothy) messaged me prior to arriving on time and explained what he was doing while checking and cleaning my AC system. I will continue to use M & S in the future.

My home is 8 years old and unfortunately the builder installed a woefully inadequate HVAC system for the floorplan of this home. I went through some drama a year ago with multiple repairs, and every single person at Michael and Son warned me this system was going to keep breaking parts... And they were right, a year later I was looking at another $2K with another blown blower.I got quotes for an entirely new HVAC system from them as well as several other companies. Michael and Son seemed to offer the best value for what I wanted, and they were able to get it installed just a few business days later.

Too expensive for the work that needed to be done. Close to $400 just to repair a kitchen faucet. $800 to replace the same faucet. While they were here they came up with thousands of dollars in repairs that are not even necessary. I will never recommend this company to anyone that I like. They are worse than Bolton.

Our AC went out last night during the storm. Completely dead! Called Michael & Sons at 9:00 am hoping to get somebody out here today. Luckily I was able to get the last service call of the day. The tech, Timothy, quickly diagnosed the problem and had the system up running quickly. A power surge was handled by the ckt board but it needed to be reset! Problem solved for less m than $100.

Recently needed a plumber. I made a mistake trying to fix a leaky faucet myself and couldn't turn the water on until some pipes were replaced. Michael & Son was friendly and got someone (Frank) to the house the next day. In addition to the requested service, Frank also walked us through some preventative maintenance we could do to prevent this sort of issue happening again.Great experience and friendly service!

Justin came out to look everything over and work up a couple of different options with me. Was very thorough and answered all of my questions. Was able to get the install planned around my schedule, which was very helpful. Victor and team were there early the morning of the install and did an excellent job. They were very professional and friendly and were very careful to keep everything clean during the process. Service appointment scheduled between 12pm-2pm window. No one came between those hours so I called the office. Talked to a very nice lady who put me on hold and checked on my tech. He was running a bit late on another job and I was next. I would have appreciated a text or phone call to let me know my service was going to be delayed. Approximately 3:30pm Miguel Rivera knocked on my door. He was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Top notch employee. He explained everything he did and advised if I have any problems with my A/C system to call them. Overall great experience.

Timothy came out and spent a good amount of time reviewing our ac system. He was very detailed with his findings and provided everything in writing and with pictures.

It was really easy to make an appointment, and they were very responsive, every step of the way. They came out quickly to assess the repair and provided options to consider. Adam, the service technician, was great. He was on-time, and very professional. I would highly recommend Michael & Son's, and will use them again in the future.

I will not use Michael & Sons again. My heating unit went off and I called to have them repair it. They charged $89 for a house call to look at system for a half hour (and taxed the $89 as if it was a product sale - services aren’t taxable in NC) and explain that I needed a new part. I looked at the price of the part and it was $195 on Amazon. They quoted me over $1,250 to install the part but told me they couldn’t do it same day because their supplier wasn’t open on Saturday. I ordered the part for $195 from Amazon, installed it myself and both heating zones are now working great. I’m an accountant and not known for my handyman skills. It took me about an hour but they would have finished the job in a half hour. What does that tell you? They charge over $1,000 for a half hour’s work. Even a general Google search says it costs between $100-$600 to replace and repair this specific part using a professional. Do yourself a favor and try someone else first.

The extension tank on my water heater burst open around 8:30pm. I turned off the water in my home and reached out to Michael & Son via their website. They sent Luis at 8:30am the next morning.Luis was very knowledgeable, professional and patient as he answered my questions and explained my options. I made a decision to have him replace my extension tank and very old water heater. He did a fantastic job! He was thorough and communicative throughout the job. I am happy with the quality of the engagement.

Had an electrician from M&S come out to help me modernize some of the electrical work in my house as I get ready to sell. Got the estimate on Thursday, got most of the work done Friday, with a little extra stuff we didn't quite get to on Saturday. Devon was a very honest and capable electrician. If this is the kind of service I can expect from M&S going forward I'd definitely keep calling them back in the future.

I had messed up my shower valve cartridge trying to fix a leak in the shower where even though the handle was turned all the way off the shower was still leaking. I called at 10:30 pm and Mike came out the next day at 8:15am. He was very efficient and effective, got the job done well and helped solve a major problem. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who runs into a plumbing issue.

Miguel Rivera was excellent! He arrived when I was promised, and he quickly looked at the issue, explained in way that was understandable what he felt the issue was and what was needed to repair it. He was excellent in listening to my concerns given that this is a brand new system. He took the time to listen, and he then explained the different options going forward to prevent any reoccurrence of the issue. He simply provided great customer service that included effective communication throughout the repair process. He was very professional and he did quality work.

We had a hot water heater go bad while we were on a 10-day vacation. I called Michael and Son the next morning at 6:30 am and they were installing a new hot water heater at 9! We had hot water the same day. Very impressed with call center personnel and the tech (Tom) was super professional and efficient. Great work!!

Update - very impressed with their customer service after my original review. Spoke with the field manager and customer service. Main takeaway is for larger jobs they are a good company to call. For smaller jobs, probably overpriced. They were quick and responsive and did good work. You may just end paying more for smaller jobs compared to others.

Scheduled an AC maintenance tech last week. The only communication I received on the day of was at the end of the two-hour window to say they were running late. I called them three hours later (7pm) to reschedule for next week. Next week comes around (today) and no communication about being late at all. It’s now an hour past the two-hour window. Called to cancel, will be using a different company.

They fixed our A/C promptly and we've not had a problem since. They handled the Carrier warranty for us. Excellent communication and personal safety protocols. This is a well run business.

Update June, 2023 - Just had Michael & Son install a new tankless water heater and repair a thermostat issue due to house being closed over the winter. Josh and Adam were phenomenal! Very professional and exceedingly thorough - I love this company!Nov. 2022 - I had an awful situation where I was out of state and needed to replace a thermostat (so the heat would work) and have a leaking toilet repaired. Michael & Sons worked with me to get the repairs completed, while bending the rules a bit re: their typical payment protocol. Both the electrician and the plumber were on time, thorough, exceedingly polite, AND they communicated with me throughout the process, allowing me to choose the best option for my situation. HIGHLY recommend this company!! And I've already scheduled them for another issue in 2 weeks!

We called Michael and Son in the middle of the night on a Friday when we learned there was no running water in our home. Frank arrived on site first thing Saturday morning and quickly determined our well pump was not working. He left and quickly returned with a new one. Frank worked skillfully and professionally to replace the well pump, water line and electric wiring. He ensured everything worked correctly and took no shortcuts. My wife and I would highly recommend Frank and Michael & Son for your home repairs.

One of our outdoor spigots was leaking and while trying to repair the leak with a wrench, I made the leak worse. Never fear, even on a Saturday, because Michael & Sons was open and responsive and sent out a technician in short order. Luis R came out and was very professional, helpful, and effective. The whole spigot needed to be replaced and because it was an old house, there was not very much room to switch things out. Luckily Luis was able to quickly reroute a couple of pipes to allow more room, and the whole thing did not cost an arm and a leg like I feared it would. I would absolutely hire Luis R again, he did a top-notch job.

Very courteous and professional technicians and staff. This is the second unit I am replacing (old one was 12 years old). In both cases I used Michael and Son, and was very pleased. Even the County inspector was impressed with the quality of work. The Technicians, Trevor and Victor, were very knowledgeable and were perfectionists. This was not the lowest cost system, but was was definitely the best value. You get what you pay for!!

I recently bought a house and on day two the HVAC system went out. Because the owner had a Michael & Son account I decided to call them first. It's worth mentioning that even though I already had a warranty on the house, I decided to get their yearly service which includes yearly inspections and tune-ups. Tim Trainer was timely, knowledgeable, walked me through the issue, and gave me a fair repair cost. If the other technicians are of the same caliber, I know my house will be well taken care of.

8/1/23 - Lawrence came out to our house after our toilet started backing up. He was incredibly professional and worked with me on the phone since I’d had to leave for vacation. Experiences like this wi continue to make me a Michael & Son customer.9/1/2022 - David arrived within the expected time window, assessed my non functional garbage disposal, provided me with multiple options at various price points and was able to install a new garbage disposal. All of this within about 90 mins. Another great experience w Michael and Son services.

Called them because I had a leaky faucet. Plumber came in and quoted the 30 minute job for $550. Said he had the part on the trucked so I looked up the part and it was $18. He said the rest of the cost was for labor. Criminal in my opinion.

I've used Michael and Son for a few years now. I've never been particularly pleased or displeased with their service (see note about upselling below), but the convenience of their HVAC maintenance plans made it hard to switch elsewhere.They are always trying to upsell when they are there for regular maintenance, implying you need things from a couple hundred dollars to thousands.The last time I had a technician out for maintenance and to check on a smell when the AC kicks on, the tech had to be reminded to grab his tools after finishing, couldn't figure out which unit outside was mine, didn't plug the unit back in after completing work, and left paperwork around my yard. He also said he didn't find anything wrong that would cause a smell (and because of all the other issues he had, I doubt he checked).A few weeks later (leading up to today), I decided to give them another shot and scheduled an appointment online to see if they can diagnose the smell when the AC kicks on. The appointment time came and went. I called Michael and Son to see where the tech was, and the customer service rep apologized (she was very professional) and said that the Raleigh office does not offer that kind of service and that nobody will be coming to my house. Even she was confused as to why they would not only schedule it, but she was also confused why they did not let me know that nobody would come.I waited around all day -- on my day off -- and now need to schedule this service with someone else and take more time off.I won't be using Michael and Son again.

Logan was a superb technician and very customer-oriented. He clearly communicated/described each technical aspect of his AC checklist and resultant summary of the inspection service. Logan is a superb representative of the company.

Communicated what was happening and answered questions.2/5/23 Juan was on call when a pipe broke on a Saturday night. He arrived assessed the situation and provided several options. My technician, Paris, was great. I was able to get scheduled quickly and he was very responsive and helpful. Luckily the faulty piece was still under warranty so he helped me request a new one and get it installed. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

This was my first time using Michael & Sons, and they have absolutely gained a new client! After being concerned about a water issue, I spoke to their dispatcher Jordan who was very pleasant and immediately jumped into action to get a technician out to my home. In less than an hour, Mike was at my door ready to inspect the troublesome area. He spent a significant amount of time carefully checking the plumbing, HVAC, water heater, ventilation and other areas. Once completed, he provided a list of recommendations to follow up on. The very next day, first thing in the morning, Zach came to my home to conduct a further inspection and determine if any restoration work was required. He went through a series of tests with his equipment, asked questions and also provided some guidance.I was thoroughly impressed by the entire team. Super professional, knowledgeable, timely and courteous! I also appreciated that they had shoe covers, respected the property and even asked permission to go in closets and cabinets. Now that is great customer care! I won’t be calling anyone else moving forward. I truly appreciate this team and how they demonstrated excellence and quality!

I had an electrical problem and had no heat. They put me on a 6 hour window to arrive but sent me a text with the technicians name and a link to his location/proximity when he was on the way (which was very helpful because I was not sitting at home with no heat). The tech was nice, professional and even explained the issue to me multiple times because I didn't understand.They did have and emergency fee of $169, but considering that all the other 24 hour companies I called could not come out until Monday (I called on a Friday afternoon) they were exceptionally responsive and timely.

Michael and sons has been consistently reliable in our area. For this project (installing an outdoor electrical outlet), the technician was polite and punctual and efficient.

They came out to repair a wet stain in my ceiling, were there for 15-20 minutes, and left without saying anything to me. I still don’t know what’s going on or where they went. They also left residue on my dining room table. The situation is not fixed, I’m down $150, and will not work with this company again.

Miguel & Logan came out today (same day service) and were awesome! The job that we called them for turned out to be bigger than we expected. When they arrived at 5:30 PM I didn’t expect that they would be able to finish the job.They made reasonable recommendations for work that should be done immediately and recommended work for a later date. We decided what work to do and they were here until 8:30 PM finishing the job. Miguel & Logan we’re so polite, explained all the work to be done and answered our questions. They knew their stuff. This was my first time using Michael and Son. My previous HVAC company was not professional in doing business, so I decided to try this company. The Michael and Son technician was professional and knowledgeable about the service he preformed. He offered me a contract which included what the previous company offered and a whole lot more for less money. They offer electrical and plumbing inspections included in the price of the contract. I'm satisfied with the service I received.

My ac had regular maintenance by a competitor today, but the ac was not blowing cool air. After trying to calling back the competitor, I gave up and called Michael and Son’s.My call was answered immediately by Paul who was professional and understanding. I told him what was happening and said. I’ve got someone near and can be there in next 2 hrs on a Friday evening. Immediately said book it. I proceeded to tell him, of the clean out pipe in front yard was cut by the mower and would need a plumber as well. Said got you covered there too and can have someone tonight. Done!Geovanny Hernandez should up first for the ac. Incredibly nice and professional. To say he assessed the situation and addressed it in no time would understate how efficient he was. Not only did he fix the issue, but did a double check of few other areas to verify all was good. There was no extra fluff in the pricing and decided to do the 1 year maintenance after he explained it. No hesitation.Just a little bit later Luis Rivera showed up. I swear it was almost deja but the incredible personality and professionalism he showed. He reviewed the cut in the dark, with good amount of wind and said we can fox and make better so do not cut it again. He did not lie. I was literally sitting down after feeding my dogs and he was at the door. He was done! Again, no fluff just focused quick and great work.I feel both Geovanny and Luis represent seems to be rare in this day and age. I had a new shed that needed full electrical rough-in and power run from main panel. Brandon and Justin were the technicians and were great. The job was completed in one day! They do great work, friendly and a pleasure to work with. This is actually the 2nd job they have done for us and we are more than satisfied.

We switched to a tankless system using Michael & Son about 6 months ago. The install team was amazing and made sure we had everything set the way we wanted it! Today we had our annual checkup with Jeremiah and everything is still looking and doing great! Jeremiah was very informative and made sure we were happy with the way the hot water heater timer was set and that it still met our needs. He also checked all the plumbing throughout the house. M&S was able to send a technician the next day after my call. The technician, Tremayne, was early for the appointment. Quickly diagnosed the issue and explained my options clearly and had everything repaired with my A/C in less than 4 hours. Definitely would use M&S again and recommend for any home repairs. Housecall made the day before for an upstairs unit HVAC repair. the M&S team is fast and responsive. I appreciated the technician sitting down with me to explain the aspects of the issue and offering a no-pressure approach to understanding my options.

They had a same day appointment, technician was on time and knowledgeable and able to fix our leak issue, same day.

Frank came out to my home on a Sunday when no one else would to try to troubleshoot my hot water heater which had stopped working Saturday evening. After inspection and diagnostics test on my old unit we determined that best course of action was a full replacement. He went to pick up the new unit, brought it back, removed the old unit and installed the new one the same day! We had hot water again by Sunday evening.

Miguel Rivera was our service tech. He was approachable, affable, and knowledgeable. He offered three options/levels of repair during the appointment and we did not feel pressured to choose the most expensive option. AC was not running correctly downstairs (due to multiple factors and lack of proper maintenance by previous owners), and Miguel was able to get it performing properly (i.e., icy cold) before he left. We don’t know if Michael & Sons was the most affordable option because we didn’t shop around. They installed the system and it seemed prudent to go with them. After this appointment we feel good about our decision and will continue to use them, and we will certainly request Miguel as our HVAC tech for future service appointments.

Logan was a reliant professional who stuck it out on a niche problem and helped fix our AC and spot a potential fire hazard. Can't recommend him enough!

My Mother-in-law had an issue of a running toilet. We shut off the water line but the system kept on leaking water. They diagnosed the water pressure was 2X what it should be.So thankful for their professionalism!

One of their techs stole from my home. They took a apple bag with a few products in it and a electric toilet snake. All was caught on camera. The corporate office only refunded half of the value of the lost items and it took 2 months and multiple managers to even get a response

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! The dispatch line from my dishwasher to my sink became disconnected at 1am on a Saturday morning, which caused a rush of water to leak through my under sink cabinets onto my floor. By 1:30am, when I heard the noise, I got up and I already had 2 inches of standing water across my entire first floor. I called Michael and Sons and they were able to schedule a technician right away. Petey came out and was friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. He found the issue and quickly fixed it, and checked other things like my water pressure to make sure that wasn’t the cause. He explained everything and talked to me about the restoration team, who is coming to analyze the damage, and what I can expect next. This was probably the best experience I could have had for a problem that ruined my weekend and my flooring. Thank you so much to Petey and Michael and Sons!!!!

We had to call our landlord for plumbing issues we were experiencing and they reached out to Michael and Sons. Ryan showed up with a positive attitude and was happy to help with offering a solution to our problem! My landlord unfortunately opted to not have the problem fixed by them in favor of a second opinion. However, if my landlord decides to go with this company I would love to see Ryan again! He was very knowledgeable and truly professional.

Simple toilet install, tech was obviously new, very polite and professional but showed up with the wrong toilet and too many questions and when I tired to answer didn’t listen. Didn’t have a simple extension cord, when I got him one, he had already found a solution just didn’t tell me. Good company but I’m sure I overpaid for a simple toilet install. I would shop around if you need simple work done, had I done this research myself I’m sure I would have paid less.

We needed an electrician in a hurry to install an electrical outlet. We called on Saturday, Kenneth (the technician) came to our home on Monday morning. Update:WOW. I went a couple weeks very upset because it didn't seem to fix our problem, then our AC went completely out and finally called to get them back out. They found a different problem that was evidently the problem the whole time that they didn't catch the first time, came back out and fixed it free of charge. This company TAKES CARE OF ITS CUSTOMERS. I'm blown away. They spent a whole lot of time here over the past few weeks and only charged me the first time with the initial estimate. Ive dealt with a lot of money grabbing companies and this is clearly not one. They've got a customer for life.---Very helpful, on time, no hidden cost, what they tell you its going to cost, that's what it's going to cost. Daniel was extremely helpful, honest, on time, called in advance, and he definitely knows what he's doing. Will definitely use these guys again.

Miguel and Will did an inspection of my AC unit in my house and routine maintainence. They were extremely knowledgeable and really good at explaining clearly how the system worked and showing me what things I should be concerned about in my current unit and why certain upgrades would be important. We used Michael and son to determine a water leak that was coming from our bathtub right to the downstairs Kitchen ceiling. First, Customer service were great and The technician Andrew who they sent. Was communicative and he arrived in a timely manner, he determined what was causing the leak. He also gave us recommendations and what’s the best to go for. We asked him while he was there to check the water shut off valve because it wasn't working . I’m glad we did because Andrew brought up to our attention that the water heater was leaking. Andrew went ahead and installed that for us. He even gave us estimation time of how long that will take to install it. As well as he replaced the Water cut off valve and replaced the water pressurization . I would highly recommend this company!

I’m editing my star rating and review:Although Fabian was knowledgeable and professional he said he was going to get someone out to us Monday after 4pm to check the water damage for organic growth and apparently never did follow through and schedule that follow up and when we called, the company had no record of us needing that work done so now we have missed work, have to miss work again to get it taken care of and make sure we don’t have mold growing. He said it needed to be done asap and now they can’t help us til mid week unless we call out of work. I was super happy with them until this moment.Fabian was knowledgeable and professional! Made me feel comfortable with what was going on.

I booked an appointment online for a 330-6pm window to fix my hot water heater. I get a call at 5pm stating the only way they would be able to get me in today was if i was willing to pay the $170 emergency fee. You wait until the day is over to tell me this. I cant get another place to come out now after 5pm without paying their emergency fees. Its not my fault they overbooked and if you can have someone come out at 630 then i shouldnt have to pay extra. Bad customer service. I called them b/c we used them for my businesses that I oversee. They wont be getting that business anymore

Michael & Son replaced the plumbing in my entire home in 2020. I opted for the four year, once yearly inspection, this visit was with the plumber, Danny Rosario. This man sat down and explained everything to me with professionalism, kindness, patience, and accuracy. Actually, drawing me pictures. I did not know a toilet has a relative lifespan.😳 and mine were living on borrowed time. He also notated what was originally put in, had come apart under the kitchen sink. He fixed it completely, he checked out the water heater, he was under the house, he was everywhere! He gave me an estimate for the toilets and the installation and ran out the door! He was back in the next morning at 8 AM installing both beautiful, elongated high-rise energy, efficient toilets, removed the old ones then wrapped my water heater, or did something that makes it more efficient . Doing all of this in this in 104° with about 80% humidity. Thank you Michael & Son, it was painless, and actually enjoyable. Mr. Rosario is a perfectionist, conscientious, with a tremendous amount of experience, humility, and focus. I have yet to meet a plumber to meet his performance that day.

Michael and Son have always provided quality service and we've used them on three separate occasions for different issues. They always explained the problems thoroughly and they make sure to clean any messes they make.

Update Jul-2023- required addition service for a Water Heater incident; received the same great service and decided to replace the 15 year old water heater. From the initial online appointment request 1:39pm they showed up early and the replacement/repair was completed by 5:05pm on a Saturday!!Prior Service -Performed breaker repair on the exterior electrical panel. Troubleshooting skills top notch, had the part on the truck and repair completed promptly. I was also impressed with the online booking where you can actually upload descriptive videos and pictures of your issue; so for them to send the proper technician.

Frank was awesome from beginning the project through the completion. He is thorough, an excellent problem solver, persevered through some problems we discovered, had a very professional and also kind demeanor. Do yourself a favor and call Michael and Sons for your plumbing needs. AND ask for FRANK!

I had scheduled a free inspection for Plumbing and Electrical within our home. First, ‘Joseph/Joey’ (Electrical) absolutely fantastic, came out and performed his review of our electrical systems (wiring, paneled, outlets/switches) where he made recommendations on what was needed/required by code and recommendations based on my future expansions and load needs as well as storing each cost/quote on my account so I could plan non-urgent projects. He even explained 12 month 0% financing options.Travis performed a similar review/inspection on my plumbing with zero findings.Both technicians represented Michael & Sons extremely well and in my mind made them my future go to for electrical and plumbing needs. I’ll have them back in July for inspection of my aging HVAC system.Overall rating: Excellent 5 Star

Michael was my technician. He did an excellent job explaining to me what was wrong. He let me know that it shouldn’t take very long, and he got right to work. He was finished faster than expected, and he did an amazing job. He cleaned up everything and left it as it as it was when he came in. Electric repair by Michael and Sons was great! Service person was Bernardo who was professional, kind, explained everything and got things done. Prior to his visit we had a power washer come who ended up getting wAter in outside electrical box which led to no power at beginning of this holiday weekend. Thanks to Bernardo and a shout out to Wake electric all was fixed in a few hours. So appreciated!

Update: changing my review because they have spent time and effort to address my concerns. The tech who did the work ultimately got a thumbs up from the inspectors and they indicated that despite the back and forth, Michael and Sons did a great job and made sure the job was complete and to my satisfaction.I really appreciate the commitment to customer service.In addition their HVaC techs are quick and convenient and always do a great job.Just keep in mind they are a big company and you have to follow up and manage larger jobs proactively.****Sadly they were unaware of operating procedures of the gas company. They installed a cutover switch (charging me extra for the convenience) and then when Dominion came out to do the cutover, they said it’s against their policy to touch any contractor stuff under the house. You’d think Michael and Sons would know this. After a night with no heat (and paying extra for the privilege at Michael and Sons recommendation)this lack of customer service really sticks in my craw. No one available after hours to help with an emergency…After dropping nearly twenty grand with this company on major repairs I am really surprised they don’t give better service or bump me up because I’ve spent so much with their company.

This company was able to get a technician out to me the next day and was very courteous and helpful after we ran into trouble due to booking via Google. Frank was very professional and honest while performing work. He wasn't able to perform the job requested but offered and explained alternatives and answered all my questions, providing honest and transparent recommendations. He performed the alternative job quickly and completely. Considering some issues we can into, everyone we dealt with had great customer service to make the most out of the experience.

Responsive company. Our water heater started leaking in the middle of the night. Made an appointment first thing the following morning. Technician arrived well within the time window given. Quickly gave me options and pricing options for new hot water heaters. Prices are high. But, I had a leaking hot water heater. Installer was very respectful, courteous and professional.

After determining the best option and explaining it in detail, he got to work and ensured everything was working properly upon completion. I called Michael & Sons as we obviously had a major issue with our AC units. They called me back within a short period of time, and I was able to have a technician assess the issue that night. The customer service was excellent, and our technician Adam was prompt and professional. He restored our service within 30 minutes, and our house cooled down immediately. I highly recommend getting their maintenance plan, which is affordable and necessary.

There was a leak from the bathtub causing water damage to living ceiling. First Mark came to assess the damage and then David the Plummer came to find the leak and address the issue. Both were very professional and knowledgeable. They did not push any business and instead told us the problem and how to fix the issue. Update: I originally had a 5 star review but I am changing it to one star. I expected more diligence from this company especially being a repeat customer. I was quoted a $4000 repair after the technician worked on my unit for over an hour. I knew something was not right after reviewing the work order I was sent. I got a second company to check behind them just in case. After about 20 minutes it turns out all I needed was wire replacements which cost $170 total. I no longer trust this company. Please always get second or third estimate from other companies before making a decision with Michael and Son.

The Service Technician Tim arrived on time. He was friendly, professional, and courteous. He listened and investigated. He quickly diagnosed the issue and the repair was completed with 1.5 hrs of his arrival. I would use Michael & Son’s again. I would recommend their services.

We hired the Micheal and Sons “Restoration” team to repair and dry out some water damage to our bathroom cabinets and downstairs drywall. The Restoration Contractor completely lied about the services that Michael and Sons was able to provide and even put services on our estimate that Michael and Sons do not do and then told us not to go through our home insurance because it wouldn’t be worth the hassle. Essentially Michael and Sons came over and ripped out some drywall and charged us $1000 for it. We had to hire a completely different company to repair the damages and would have just skipped the Micheal and Sons step altogether if we had known that Micheal and Sons was not going to repair anything. Not only that, but the restoration department knew that we weren’t happy with the work so they waited over a month to charge us for the services. Absolutely ridiculous will never use Michael and Sons again for anything. But especially don’t waste your time with “restoration” because they don’t actually do it.

After moving into a new house we there was plenty of repairs and fixes we had to make. From plumbing to electrical to HVAC these guys did it all. We would call with an issue and they would be there either that day or the next. I wouldn’t use anyone else for any job. Why hire 3 companies when you can hire one. One that still cares about customer service over volume of customers. Thank you everyone at Micheal and Sons.

Thorough and respectful. 4/13/23 I'm finally turning my ac on after everything was recently checked and now the house is burning hot. If everything was fine a couple of weeks ago, why is the unit not working now when I need it most?

I waited until 5 minutes before the end of the 2 hour arrival window with no one showing up, so I called. The lady on the phone then tells me they're running at least an hour late. I didn't get any notifications or calls from anyone about this. I understand that they can fall behind but they need to notify customers of that, not just leave them hanging. They have an automated email system so they already have the technology. I will give my business to a company that respects their commitments and doesn't waste my time.

This is the 2nd time I’ve used Michael and Sons for Water Heater replacement. Today- Technician David and Luis showed up at my residence. My water heater is located in my garage, when they finished the job, they cleaned up the work area and everywhere in close proximity- they left it cleaner than it originally was before they started. HVAC Technician (Garner, NC) Miguel R. was knowledgeable, professional and took the time to explain everything done and what may need to be done in the future. A true asset to Michael & Sons company.

Basically for a cleaning and inspection service, all they use is water and a towel to clean it. If you want them to really clean it, that’s the $350 package. The inspection part is to sell their package, expensive coolant, UV lights and/or another unit. My unit is working fine, so I feel fortunate.

Juan was very professional from his attire to his attitude and knowledge. We needed an after hours visit to address a runny shower head. Although the issue wasn’t resolved that night due to not having the correct shower cartridge for our older shower model, he was able to help us turn off the water valve as a temporary fix and provided the estimate and his card. We had a pretty bad experience with the first plumber they sent out, but they really turned it around on the second visit. After the last visit I left a bad review, and management replied shortly after. The plumber they sent today checked all the boxes. Thomas Hyatt was professional and very approachable. Within minutes of his inspection he was able to determine what the problem was. He offered us a path forward at a reasonable cost. I would definitely use this company again, and I would request Thomas specifically. My wife and I are new to the area, so we tend to be wary of every service call. This experience has definitely restored our faith in Michael and Sons Services.

Michael & Son’s always has good communication about arrival and are usually available to come within a day of requesting service. The technician, Tim, did not rush and was willing to stay until the problem was solved. We’ve always been very pleased with Michael & Sons.

Replaced cast iron drain pipe with PVC. Charged over 3k for removal and 20 feet of PVC. Didn’t clean up the cast iron was left under the house. Also didn’t use proper sealant so the PVC pipe leaked. Called and left messages no response. Had to have another company verify their shabby work. The other licensed company said we paid double for what was done. As a young couple with limited funds totally taken advantage of.

Our water heater wasn't working so we booked an online appointment with Michael & Son same-day. We recieved a text confirmation and our representative, Angel, called us as well. My central air is still not working , I had micheal and sons come out and they said that capacitor is out and it would be 195 dollars for a new one , as well as 3 lbs of freon for 400 dollars , thats highway robbery , the capacitor in question is going for 20 dollars on ebay and r410 freon is going for 45 dollars a pound . So how does tgat eqaul 700 plus dollars , taking advantage of people , .

I call Michael & Son for my shower repair. They charge 60$ for visit where as most of the others charge $0 for visit and for providing estimates/quotes. I pay them, and the guy shows up, inspects and says he cannot fix it the shower/bathtub. No quote for complete replacement and then when I call the company asking for the quote, they say they dont provide the replacement services at that particular office location. I was wondering what kind of service is this!!! 60$ for saying we cannot do it???I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY

This company charged me over 2k for a simple plumbing repair, which was fine I understand things are expensive. What was not fine was the aftermath of the work. They said they were sending out a free water damage assessment, then forged a signature to do 750 dollars worth of water damage repair work that I did not approve and could have done myself. After calling customer service about it 5 separate times, no one ever called me back or tried to help. Who did call was collections, demanding that I pay. In the end they “did me a favor” by taking 250 off the 750 I wasn’t supposed to owe. They stole 500 dollars from me and forged my signature, and lied about it when I tried to call them out. I’m disgusted and I’ll never again call on their services. Customer service was an absolute joke, but I’m not laughing.

My technician was Jason. He called 30 minutes before he arrived to discuss the problem. He checked in throughout the process to provide updates and recommendations. After the appointment he sent detailed before and after photos & videos. If all the technicians at Michael & Sons are as good as Jason this a top notch company. This is my second time using Michael and Sons and my experience has been exceptional both times.

Professional work...but very pricey. I paid 500.00 for 40 minutes of work. I spoke to another licenced plumber and was told that the job should had been between 200-300 dollars.

I had electrical and plumbing work done. Both techs arrived within an hour of calling for service which was amazing! I had Devon come for electrical work, (installing smoke detectors, installing a light fixture, fixing wall sockets and re-doing wiring to a hot tub). Noah came for plumbing, (installing a new water heater, faucet and valve).They were both extremely professional, kind and made sure we understood the process for what was being done to our new home. The work was thorough and the price was reasonable. I would definitely have either Devon or Noah come out again for any electrical or plumbing needs!UPDATE: THIS REVIEW BELOW IS MY VIEW WITH CONTINUED WORK WITH Michael and Sons.For some reason they won't post my 1 star review for their Restoration services so I'll update this one. Was given an itemized quote of 1k, sent a final bill 3 weeks after the work was done with same itemized lines for 2.1k! Got the run around about my bill through 4 phone calls and two emails. Finally had to threaten to not pay on a voicemail for someone to call me back 10 minutes later. Was lied to about equipment cost and told tech would come back after the weekend, to pick it up not being told that the equipment would be charged each day even when not used. Finally talked them down to pay 1.5k. Just found out today that the electrical outlets in the master bathroom where the work was done are all blown as well as that circuit in the breaker box. Haven't used the bathroom for weeks because we're about to renovate so it took a while to notice. Just beyond ridiculous, destructive and dishonest

We had to get a new tankless hot water heater and the cost seemed prohibitive. I’m very jaded with any professional coming to our home for diagnosing an issue for fear they’ll price gouge. That wasn’t the case! Luis and David were AMAZING! They arrived on time, were very knowledgeable, professionals in uniform, maintained personal space, explained everything they were about to do as well as updates along the way. They put a mat over our front doormat to protect it from dirt, wire show covers! Yes, that’s a great thing to me. They handled my irritation over the dispatcher not communicating that there would be a diag cost. The electrician (I don’t remember his name) was equally fabulous! Overall, hiccups and all, these gentlemen handled themselves exactly as I’d want my own employees to. The work was impeccably done and we’re not only going to stay with Michael & Sons, but we will request Luis and David for all plumbing needs. Thank you for a job well done.

From the moment I caller them , they were professional and super friendly. The Plumber-Ryan called before he arrived and was on time and very professional. From there it was so easy and convenient to have Ryan fix the issues we were having with our new home ! I am so happy to have our home fix and I can't thank Ryan enough for all his hard work!

Called them on a Sunday and Monday at 8:00 I had the plumber and the restoration technician at home. There still more to come as work has barely started. So far I am happy with their responsiveness and the clean job the plumber performed.UPDATE: After everything was peaches and cream on the first day. They were suppose to remove 400sqft of flooring and when the technician saw that my hardwood was glued to the subfloor they put the humidifiers, blowers and vanished. 4 days passed and I had to call to tell them to come and pickup the equipment.

Kind and knowledgeable service technician. Fixed my issue quickly and the cost was fair.Very poor time management and customer service by this company. I had a 10a-12p window that they did not show up for. I was not notified by the company, I had to call myself to check in and the representative on the phone told me they had no idea when the tech would show up. I rescheduled for the same day between 4-6p and they showed up before 4pm. I had to leave work twice in order to accommodate their schedule. Quite unprofessional. If the service tech did not do such a good job, I would not do business with this company again.

So I bought a manufactured home and Michael and sons had their techs Jasper, Tyler and Joey come out. They replaced all my outlets and upgraded my electrical panel because it was not big enough for what was already in my house so they upgraded to make sure that it was big enough for my house.They also installed a ceiling fan in our living room.

Recently purchased a home and one morning woke up with a water heater leaking in the garage. Most places couldn't come for a few days at the earliest but Michael and Son were able to come that same afternoon and install a new water heater. Michael Glavin was knowledgeable and professional and came back out when the water heater stand needed to be adjusted free of charge.

I had a sewage lift pump break down on my Sunday before Memorial Day. First thing Monday morning they had replaced the pump. I scheduled an appointment with this company because I had a unit down at an office condo. I had a long discussion with the person that called to schedule an appointment which included the fact that it was an office condo as well as what wrong with the unit. She said she was not a technician but would add the notes to the appointment she was scheduling. She scheduled the first available appointment for two days later between 10 and 12, and I received confirmation and a reminder about the appointment. They did not show up. At 12:30 on the day the appointment was scheduled (which was after the scheduled time for the appointment), I received a call to say that they don't service units in office condos. I would never recommend this company.

Michael & Son is a great company. Everyone I've dealt with is very professional, from the call center, repairs, installation and maintenance. They are quick to respond, quick appointments and they show up on time! Trey installed a unit last year in a very cramped attic crawl space with no complaints. I was glad he, along with Manny, returned this year for more installations. It was the hottest days of the summer and they never complained or slacked off. Roland did the seasonal maintenance and was a pleasure to deal with, also. I highly recommend this company.

HVAC unit not working so I called on Thursday for repair. I have always used Michael and Sons for repairs, expensive but always quick and reliable. Technicians arrived Friday and made quick diagnosis. New motor fan needed. Easy repair is what I was told. 4 hours later at 6:00 not working because of electrical issue they couldn't bypass. Part had to be ordered and everything was closed until Monday. I understand that but surely someone could have let me know what was going on for the easy repair.Obviously they knew before six there were issues but no one let me know. So no heat for my downstairs on a night when its going to be 20 degrees and no possible resolution until Monday. Scrambling to buy space heaters. Sent an email to to Michael and Sons with my complaints about lack of communication and got into an email debate with Maurice N. Terrible customer service skills.

This business does good quality work. We've done a plumbing and HVAC through them. They clean up after themselves, tell you what they recommend with no pressure and are professional.

Very nice man on the first visit. But was a little “testy” when he had to come back because the drawer isn’t closing properly hitting the gas pipe.I had a gas leak with my cooktop. Serviced very timely. He said he fixed the leak but the top drawer is scraping the gas pipe EVERY time it is opened. His fix was to tell me not to use the drawer. Hello, not an option, especially since it was not a problem before.We just moved in this rental and I have conveyed to the owner about the experience, since you all are who “he alwaysrecommends “.

Hired Jeremiah to come uninstall my kitchen sink, dish washer, and garbage disposal. Then check for any other outdated plumbing. He was professional and very detail oriented.

Jay came by to help fix a leak from an upstairs bathtub that was flowing into a light fixture in our kitchen. He was super friendly, professional, and very thorough. Once the problem was diagnosed, he needed an extra set of hands since part of the drain was behind an access panel in our closet. I was glad to help hold the part in place while Jay threaded it in from the bathtub. During the process, jay was able to walk me through what he was doing and show me what needed replacing which was very helpful for me (always good to learn how different things in your home work!).We tested everything multiple times to make sure the leak was fixed and jay also gave me tips on adjusting and installing a new access panel (the current one was pretty small). After finishing up, we were chatting about the other plumbing in the house and jay even took a look at some of the plumbing in our crawl space to show me things to look out for. Super helpful! BEWARE!! We have been without HVAC for FOUR MONTHS! There was supposed to be a part in order under warranty but I called Trane and they can’t locate the order. I ran this all the way up the chain to the “proud son” of Michael &son. They will not do anything to make this right. Avoid at all costs!!

You feel a little desperate when your air conditioning goes out during the hottest days of summer. I booked the appointment late in the night when our air conditioning stopped working, but Adam came [next day] Saturday afternoon and even worked in the rain to get our air conditioning working again. Rhyne was actually a little early which I appreciated since we had no water. He explained as he went since the repair became more complicated but he finished it up, cleaned up and made sure we were happy with it. Our first time using Michael & Sons but they are our “go to” now.

Had an issue recently with a zoned system where I wasn’t getting air to the downstairs. Called Michael & Sons and got an appointment for early the next day. Was kept informed when the tech was en route and Tim took the time to listen to what I thought the issue was. Tim was able to immediately verify the issue was as expected and went right to work getting my ac running properly. So glad for the prompt response and that I wasn’t upsold for any other unnecessary work!

Our experience with Daegan was nothing short of great! From the minute he entered our home he was very friendly and respectful. We had him come in to add a few boxes for various light fixtures around the house, and one light he moved over for us within the room. He took his time, and he kept me involved in the decision making process which I really appreciated! Even after staying longer than I’m sure he planned, he ended up installing one of the light fixtures for us because we didn’t have the right tools. He did a fantastic job, and we will surely have him back in the future!

It is with great disappointment that I share my experience with Michael & Sons of Raleigh, urging others to exercise extreme caution when considering their services. This company's staggering incompetence and lack of accountability during the installation of a natural gas water heater, despite clear instructions for a propane unit, has caused significant distress and financial loss for my family.To begin, I engaged Michael & Sons to install a propane water heater in my home. However, they astonishingly installed a natural gas water heater, completely disregarding the explicit written instructions. As a result, they had to perform a second installation to replace the incorrect unit with the proper propane water heater. Unfortunately, this series of errors was only the tip of the iceberg. Shockingly, they left the newly installed propane water heater with a leak, despite being notified about it twice. I cannot stress enough the gravity of this situation, as it posed a severe safety risk to my family. Regrettably, we suffered a loss of over $1000 worth of propane due to this leak, which could have been avoided if Michael & Sons had taken their responsibilities seriously.Adding insult to injury, a water leak emerged in my garage shortly after the water heater installation. This leak was non-existent prior to their intervention, making it evident that their improper installation was the root cause. To make matters worse, when confronted about the issue, the technician, caught on camera, admitted that the water heater installation had been mishandled. How crazy is this, the company really messed up, technicians admitted to it, and still won't own what they did.I let the loss of propane go, mentioned it to the company, still nothing in response. But the water leak too? This was the worst experience I've ever had with an installation and repair company I've ever had.Despite the glaring evidence of their mistakes and negligence, Michael & Sons of Raleigh adamantly refuses to take any responsibility. They not only ignore the harm caused by their actions but also shirk their obligation to rectify the damages. It is utterly unacceptable for a company to abandon its customers in such a distressing situation, failing to provide support or resolution.When the rehabilitation people came (Michael & Sons) they said for me to file with my insurance, which again is another $1000 deductible because they won't own what they did. Needed a toilet installed. Already had taken the old one off but was concerned about wear on the flange. Just called to have someone handle it. He told me how busy he was and he couldn’t get to it, but someone else could. Cool. Told me it was easy and we should do it ourselves. Fine. Told me he wasn’t a pushy salesman. Yeah I noticed. Said we could call someone else. Ok i got the message. You don’t want the job. Quoted $800 for a replacement reusing the old flange.The bill for all this help? $70. He was here for a few minutes and left.Have someone else coming in the morning with a much more realistic price. I understand the fee to quote, but I didn’t pay that for someone to not want the job.

Technician DeVaughn came to do our maintenance and got us set up with the Home Care Plan as well. He was quick, clean and very profession.

The Technician was prompt, very professional and respectful. The reason I gave this business one star is because their prices are outrageous. Michael and Son advertises online that a water heater installed is $1,800.00. Then their price goes up by at least $1,000.00 once they get to your home. Do your wallet a favor and stay away from this business. You are going through a hardship for their high prices to finance the owners privet Jet. If you need a hot water heater, just go to Lowe's. Best price around.

Mr.Lamarius Green has been our technician for several years. He does a great job. In fact, Michael & Sons have been servicing our Generac since they installed it. Always prompt courteous service.

Michael & Son installed and has serviced my heat/air unit and even serviced my old unit when I had it. They are always so polite, friendly, knowledgeable and make me feel comfortable when they are in my home. Being a woman this means a lot to me when having men that I don't actually know in my home. I would recommend them to everyone.

Tech Bernardo was awesome, and along with colleague Trenton, attended to several electrical issues thoroughly and professionally, and made sure I understood everything they were doing along the way. Recommendations for potential system improvements made sense, but unlike some other local companies we’ve had, we’re not oversold. Overall we are happy to have chosen Michael and Son and highly recommend them! Will certainly call them for any of our needs in the future!

I was able to get someone out to fix my leaking toilet the same day I called. He had the part in the truck and was in and out in a half hour. They were awesome to work with!

Brandon, licensed electrician, was beyond awesome!!!! if you have Services done you should definitely ask for him. He was very knowledgeable and provided excellent services. He was patient, respectful to my home, and gave several options for install. I thought that the companies prices would not be competitive but I was absolutely wrong. The prices are competitive. He installed 4 customer provided wired smoke alarms and replaced a GIF receptical in the kitchen. He was efficient and completed the job in a timely manner. Thanks Brandon. Tim was great. He showed up and did our inspection quickly, and even helped change our air filter out during his visit. He concisely explained our inspection report and gave us options without feeling pushy or salesy. I greatly appreciated his help and professionalism!

Hunter was fantastic! He gave good information and we very respectful of my house. Hunter Loflin is a real asset to Michael & Son!So, a few days later after Hunter’s visit, I had an additional problem with my downstairs AC unit. I called Michael & son and they sent Miguel out the same day (4/4/23). He found out that I had a bad breaker on that unit. Miguel was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I woke up to my water heater aggressively leaking water. Called them and they were able to come out within a few hours. The technician, Noah, was very professional, kind and explained everything throughly. We had to replace the heater but it was also done same day. Quick and efficient!

I called to have a hot water heater recirculating valve installed. The quote they gave me included replacing unrelated hardware such as the cold water valve and dishwasher valve under the sink at a charge of $150 per valve. This is more than 3 times the going rate. All told, what should have been a 1 hour installation of a standard plumbing feature came to almost 1200. Again, more than 6 times the going rate. They also exaggerated the age of my water heater and gave a quote of almost 7500 to replace it with a tankless unit. This is almost double the national average.Be very wary of their prices. They do not offer free quotes, but instead say they have a $69 service fee before the quote. That service fee was actually $75 for us. They will refund this if you get the work done, but it’s cheaper on you if you pay it as a lesson instead of chasing good money after bad.

We had a heating emergency, and called about 8pm when we realized that we couldn’t fix whatever was wrong. From the minute I called, I was treated like the most important customer in the world. The lady who took our service call was so nice, and even tried to troubleshoot a couple actions before we had to have an emergency service. She was incredibly helpful and reassured me that everything was going to be ok.In under 45 minutes the most professional, kind, and very knowledgeable technician arrived. Jonathan explained exactly what he was going to do, and updated us throughout the service. He had us repaired within the hour, and gave us several useful tips on how to use our system better, and provided us a maintenance plan going forward to prevent problems in the future.We couldn’t have been more thankful, that on a very cold night we were warm again very quickly. Many thanks again to Jonathan -as if I owned this company, this is exactly who I would want as my employee. Thank you all again.

Very pleased with the professional service that I received from Chris. My shower faucet wouldn't turn off. I finally got it to turn off myself. I researched on line to fix the problem myself. I couldn't pull off the temperature cover. I was afraid that it would break so I called for help. Chris repaired my shower faucet in a better condition than when it was new. Very, very pleased with the service received recently from Michael and Son Company but I was most impressed with Technician, Frank Castaneda. He was the best! Professional, knowledgeable and upon seeing the problem, he immediately and clearly explained what needed to be done. Once he began to do the work there were some other issues that were revealed and he informed me of what was needed, I gave approval for it to be done and he proceeded to take care of the problem. He provided pictures throughout the process which I found to be extremely helpful. Frank Castaneda is an excellent technician and truly an asset to the business.

I am currently renting a townhome while working in Raleigh and notified the realtor of some plumbing issues I had noticed. They contacted Michael & Son who sent Ryan to inspect the concerns. Ryan was very patient and professional while communicating with me and the property manager who had to call the owner a few times to relay information. Ryan helped to ease some of my concerns I had as a renter and was very knowledgeable about his profession. He was able to explain things in a way that I could follow and understand. The owner requested to get another quote prior to any work being completed. However, as a renter I would be happy to see Ryan again.

Within twelve hours of my call, Devon, the specialist, was at my home and had the electrical issue resolved. Not only did he fix the problem, but he also took the time to teach me about the issue, which I appreciated. Class acts all around here.

We called Michael and Son Services for a second opinion on our hot water heater after it broke from not being properly installed by a previous company that evidently did not know what they were doing. Luis Rivera was our technician. He explained to us all the things that was done wrong and answered all our questions. Luis was very knowledgeable. You get what you pay for. Michael & sons is not the cheapest, but every technician they have sent to my house has been friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They do quality work, and sell quality equipment. I have had no negative experiences with them, while using their service for 5 years.(2020)Edit 2023: they have improved since 2020. I can't say enough good about Michael & Sons. Marcus was great. Showed me a part he replaced, and a picture of the new one installed. Then emailed me pictures of everything he checked. Always good when an already great service improves.

Tremayne was an awesome service tech today. Would highly recommend him, and his knowledge. My family has a HVAC company but not here in Raleigh. Took a chance using Michael and sons, and Tremayne was Very professional, used shoe covers and was able to quickly determine some things that might be causing the very high humidity issue. I was also happy that I wasn’t required to sign a yearly service agreement, in order to have them clean the coils on my unit. I felt it was fairly priced and would Love to request Tremayne come the fall to do a cleaning of the coils again. 5 star review for Treymane and Michale and Sons.

I called Michael and Sons after business hours on a Wednesday and they came at 8am Thursday for a nonemergent problem. They replaced 2 toilets, a crawl space valve, whole house filtration system, and the main water valve. Jay was super nice, efficient and did great work!

Amazing service from Frank at the company from beginning to end!!!! I had no hot water on a very cold day and I was given the best possible service by Frank and he worked from 11 AM to 6PM to make sure I had the proper fix to my hot water heater and assured me that Michael and Sons would be by my side for life! System was in very good repair. I needed to have an annual maintenance check to maintain the warranty. Another company installed the unit but their yearly service check was do high I reached out to Michael and Son for good service at a reasonable price. The tech was knowledgeable and friendly. I can’t recommend this business enough. My water heater broke and being without hot water (especially with teenagers in the house) was no fun. I called many places that couldn’t even come look at my problem for another 4 days. When I scheduled with Michael & Son, I was able to secure an appointment a few hours later. Josh was my technician and he was professional and knew what my water heater needed right away. He clearly explained my options and found my part under warranty (saving me money). But more than that, Josh was kind, and empathetic to my problem. He expedited my part and gave me his contact info so he could install it soon after it arrived. It’s the next day and I’m so happy to have hot water now! Michael & Son (and Josh) now have a loyal customer in me!! I will be calling them for all my service needs. Tim Trainer came out on a Monday after I called on a Sunday. He was so friendly and professional and diagnosed the issue, which required ordering a part. He came back the next day with the needed part and completed the repair. Tim was extremely genuine, helpful, and we felt he was very trustworthy. We will be sure to use Michael and Son for future needs, and hope Tim will be our tech again!

We had an incident that required a late night call. Our plumbing technician, Juan Castillo, arrived in less than 30 minutes and was able to assess the situation (a broken valve on the outdoor hose spigot) that had caused water leakage inside the house. He was super friendly and went above and beyond to address all of my concerns. Zach Barrett, our Mitigation Specialist, came to do an estimate for the damage and remediation and was extremely thorough and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand in order to make some important decisions. If I ever have a problem again in the future I would absolutely recommend Michael & Son!!

Juan Castillo is a very professional and transparent employee of Michael and Son's, as he replaced a hot water heater for me. Facts were presented, favors were called in to get the new hot water I wanted out of storage on a Friday evening about 6:30 pm, and all was fixed within reasonable time. Anthony installed a new tankless water heater for us and was a pleasure to work with. He arrived on time and was very helpful and professional. He called in another technician to help named Juan who was also great and they got most of the work done the same day. Anthony let us know he would be back the next day to finish up and arrived on time to complete the work. He also gave us tips to help maintain our system over the years. The electrician Bernardo they sent out was great as well. I would definitely use them again for any needed repairs. Anthony went over and beyond to provide us with great service.

I had a water heater fail at 10pm on a holiday weekend Sunday night while on vacation. Set an appointment online and there was a tech here 12 hours later. 4 hours after that I had a new water heater and water lines at a very competitive price, with a service plan and extended warranty. I'm highly impressed with the quality and service and plan to have them as my go to service provider as long and I live in an area they service.

Amazing that the water heater could be replaced the same day we called. Super friendly from start to finish.

We had a partial power outage and Michael & Son was quick to get us scheduled and even showed up early! Steve was our technician and he was awesome. Knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to get us squared away. I will definitely be using this company again.

Contacted Michael and Son Services to get an estimate and potential work to install 50' of 1/2 flexible gas line from existing gas fireplace to new gas stove in kitchen. It's a straight run in 4' crawlspace. Should take a professional an hour at most to install and pressurize it for inspector. 75 feet of CSST (flexible gas line) at hardware store is $175. The fittings are $10 each. Worst case, $300 in material for this job. Was expecting $1000 ($1500 at most) estimate. Was quoted just shy of $5000. That's almost $100 per foot!!! When I balked at the price, he used the standard predatory salesman line of gas is dangerous line to try and make me feel more comfortable that I'm paying 5 times as much as I should...same when car dealerships try to overcharge you on brake pad installs. He then tried to sell me on a Michael and Son warranty for 10% off the bill...which would still leave it over $4000. I said no thank you but still had to pay the $74 for his time to come out for the estimate. Definitely would not recommend. If you do contact them, make sure you do your homework beforehand to have an idea how much you should be paying.

Frank was very professional and very personable. He not only repaired the gas leak issue on HVAC system but he took concern for our family’s safety and lives by ensuring that we equip our home with a proper carbon monoxide detector. He was available for an emergency repair at night and was very respectful entering and maneuvering through the home, first by covering his shoes to prevent tracking dirt in home. He took time to show us video of the work he performed making sure we were well informed and comfortable in knowing the matter was properly repaired. Frank was great and I would do service with him again.

Horrible experience. Absolutely outrageous prices. They charge high dispatch fees to try and make you agree to the repair. I had a small drip coming from the washer valve. They quoted me $460.00 to repair. That’s absolutely insane.

I needed my water valve replaced urgently. I called Michael and Sons this morning around 8am and they were at my house by 1130am same day. They were extremely efficient, communicated well, and very pleasant in general. I will definitely use them again.

I'm happy with the service I received from Michael & Son. Our tech, Timothy Roberts was on time, friendly, and worked efficiently to repair our issue. The gentleman responsible on the back end ( Edgar ) was also very friendly and helpful. I recommend this company.

Water heater tank cracked, and Michael and Sons we able to come that same day. Our technician Michael came promptly and provided professional, confident, excellent service. He diagnosed the issue (on a Friday night at around midnight) and came the very next morning around 8 to install a new water heater. Great to work with and did such a fast and efficient job for us!

I'm one of those people who needs to understand the details of the product being recommended, as well as the benefits of spending a bit more money to get a product like Flood Stop, in addition to the new hot water heater, since it is located in the attic of the house. I got a very good explanation and agreed with the recommendation. The installation occurred on the day and time previously arranged, and the removal of the old hot water heater and installation of the new one went without a hitch. The crew was very professional and I'm very happy with the service and product.

Juan came out quickly and was able to detect the problem and get it fixed efficiently and professionally! Michael and Son was quick to provide follow up and scheduling of restoration services despite it being after business hours. A stressful and unknown situation was immediately calmed down by the work and personality of Juan. Thank you and can't recommend enough! I will definitely be using them for any other issues!!

Jeremiah was amazing!! We were a little upset with Michael and Son due to a previous service provider. But Jeremiah quickly addressed the issues with kindness and understanding. Honestly, going in to the repair - I was Not going to call Michael and Son again - but he was able to restore my trust in the company bc he was so honest, kind and professional. Tim was so friendly and quickly diagnosed the issue with our AC. He thoroughly explained what caused the AC to die and gave me great recommendations/options. He was also very friendly and understanding of our situation

Michael & Son's plumbing service was used to replace a toilet. The plumber was polite and courteous. He assessed the issue, gave 3 options for replacement. The installation took an hour. The plumber was an expert, performed the task, cleaned up and was quiet during his visit. Great job.

Had an old shower cartridge replaced by Ryan Disorbo. Very professional and knowledgeable. I have an older fixture with a guard behind it that blocks the cartridge, which he took care of very quickly and carefully. Shower works great, 10/10 job many thanks!

Luis and David were so professional and extremely helpful in getting our new water heater installed, new kitchen sink installed, a washer hooked up and multiple little side plumbing repairs we needed. They were the only ones available and came right around the time I needed them to on busy Christmas week. My technician was very professional and great at detecting the origin of the leak above my garage ceiling. Pricing was fair for the 3 hours spent so definitely recommend using their services.

I would not recommend Michael & Son Services. One reason is because of the $69 dispatch fee. $69 dollars for about 20 minutes. Okay. Whatever. Nice guy doing his job. It's free at many places though.The main reason I would not recommend Michael & Son Services is the price. The price ($3475 for the least expensive package + PRV and installation) is more than double that of Lowes ($1995) given the same services, warranty and tax. I found others that were around $2500 given the same services, warranty and tax.State (which Michael & Son Services uses) and AO Smith water heaters are almost identical. AO Smith makes State water heaters.State 40 Gal Gas Water Heater Tall run about $620 tax included.Expansion tank is about $60 tax includedThe fittings, tape, etc. adds maybe another $50 tax included.PRV is $170 tax included.Together that is $900 tax included.That mean Michael & Son Services is charging $2575 for labor.If it takes 5 hours to replace the water heater, expansion tank and PRV, the labor is $515/hr.$515/hr. for labor is not normal under any circumstance for non-emergency plumbing repair!Shop around people! Shop around.

Electrician replaced kitchen fluorescent ceiling light with LED light along with a dimmer switch. Next service was an electrician installed an electrical outlet in our sunroom. Same great professional service! Just had an electrician out to swap out an old ceiling fan with a new one. Had to put in a new junction box to ensure it met code. Joe was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I trust Michael and Son for all of my electrical work.

I called in the morning and they were able to come same day. The technician who came, Ryan was extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He helped me explore solutions to my problem and was very patient and came back to make sure my issue was resolved today. Ryan did an excellent job and gave great customer service.
