I awakened on the morning of 1/21/20 with my gas heat not working! The house was very cold! Although busy, Service Experts got here within 2 hours! My furnace needed a part replaced. They very quickly went out and got the part I needed. They worked VERY hard until my furnace was working again! They were on a mission! By bed time, that same day, my house was warm, and I was very comfortable! Thank you Service Experts!

I already rented my heat pump from them. So when my other one froze up, I called them. They actually recommended replacing my hot water heater too. They gave me a great deal. I am so glad they came to do the water heater first. When the repair man came today, he removed the old one and the heating element was floating around inside. He said it would not have been long before it died. Next week, I will have another new heat pump through them. Service Experts is the best! 24/7 service! Their people are friendly, knowledgeable! So thankful for Service Experts and their Advantage Programs!

Today Tim came to the house for a regular system maintenance. He was excellent and very professional. He teach me about the difference between filters something super easy but nobody had taken the time to explain it to me, ajusted my thermostat and went above and beyond trying to answer a question that I had for years. I love this company. When they installed my system they were not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. They sold me a quality unit with 5 years maintenance free and so far its been 4 year with no issues. Highly recommend!

Just had a wonderful experience with Connor from service experts! Very polite right on time gave a call when he was arriving. I was even able to read his handwriting when he filled out the invoice! That is a rare thing to see in today's service industry! So glad I signed up for annual maintenance service contract. I had Service Experts come out to do an estimation for a whole house water filtration system. The plumber that they sent did not understand what the system was and thought it was a water softener system. He then proceeded to do a water quality test, speak with his supervisor, and tell me that based on the test that they could not install the system. No explanation given and water quality results were normal. Basically poor, unprofessional service with an estimator who had no idea what he was doing. Avoid this company.

He found the issue (in the crawl space) and had to install two different thermostats due to one not being compatible with our unit! He was professional and explained everything to us! I've been a customer of Service Experts for my heating and cooling for at least 7 years now. Their technicians (most recently Daniel B.) have always been respectful and friendly. They explain what they're doing, what they've found (if anything), and answer all questions. In fact, while doing routine maintenance sometime in the past year or two, they found (and patched up) some shoddy work done by the contractor I was using prior to signing up with Service Experts.

Our heater stopped working and I called this company and they were quick to visit my home. They inspected the furnace and also asked to see my water heater (we’ve had no issues with our water - pressure, temperature, nothing). They found a long list of things wrong with both. Their business model to is sell people a membership maintenance program that was going to equal our monthly car payment. No thanks. This contract would last for 10 years. Quick math told me I’d be overpaying for a new furnace. I asked if I could just pay upfront for a new furnace. And that quote ended up being twice what two other companies quoted me. I was also told that my furnace was original to the house( 20+ Years) which the serial number and info on the unit told me it was only 10 years old. I’m sure those customers who are a part of their maintenance program are satisfied and have the peace of mind but I was not thrilled being lied to. We went with another company.

I was impressed with how soon they had a tech at our house. Tech was very professional, however after a 15 minute stay, we were advised that he could not fix the issue unless he started cutting drywall to find the leak. At that time, we decided not to proceed. I was disappointed on what the 15 minute visit cost to not have the repair done.

I called this company Friday around noon scheduled an appointment for the same day which was a pleasant surprise. The technician Chris Lindsay was very knowledgeable and professional. He has an awesome personality and he took the time to explain to me the problem with my AC. I will utilize this company in the future.

Be VERY skeptical of any work/repairs they recommend. They WILL try to convince you that you need multi-thousand dollar repairs when what you really need is a tube of caulk or similar.

We've used them a couple of times for replacing old broken units, first the a/c then second the water heater. Both times they were very prompt and knowledgeable. Everyone I talked with or worked with was very kind. And so far everything seems to be going smoothly and we've had no issues with the work that was done. We will continue to use them whenever the need arises.

June 10 2019: I scheduled a routine maintenance appointment on the phone. My service consultant was Chris Lindsay. He seems very competent and put my mind at ease, patiently answering my questions and giving me helpful suggestions while checking out my system. Very happy with this experience.The other parts of the business (sales, logistics, dispatching, etc.) could use some modernization (for example, my warranty paperwork did not go through initially and the dispatchers don't proactively notify you of appointment delays) but everyone I've been in contact with has been nice and otherwise professional.

John Cade was the excellent plumber who installed a new water heater for us. He gave us all the pros & cons of the various water heater types and we choose a tankless system. He installed the unit efficiently and walked us through its operation. We’re very satisfied with the work and hope we enjoy the water heater, too!

Rocshawn, the service technician, did a fantastic job. He diagnosed the problem with gas line, gave me an estimate on time and cost, and completed the work on time. He checked other equipment, like the gas water heater and the furnace, to make sure that they were working properly. I definitely recommend Service Experts.

For three years they provided great service....on time, easy to get a hold of. Now, for the last month, I've called, ordered parts at least 10 times. Always get the same answer, someone will call you back right away sir - no one ever does. AC unit has been down for over a month now. Already ordered the part through them when the original tech came out - oh and I am part of the service ADVANTAGE PROGRAM - which I am now finding out is a scam.

I was very impressed by the A/C repair service I received today from Technician Darlin and his apprentice Joseph of Coastal Service Experts. Darlin was highly professional, knowledgeable and truly concerned about customer satisfaction. They were very considerate and polite and very meticulous preforming their copper replacement ( line set ) task. I was very relieved to know I had two professionals working on my A/C unit problem and at the end of this extensive intricate service/repair I am very much a satisfied customer. Wow great service!! I am always really leery of installers and repair folks since I have been burnt in the past, but Chris L with Service Experts exceeded my expectations. Even though it was past 6pm because he was delayed on a tough repair ahead of mine, he arrived with a smile on his face and was very pleasant. He took his time and methodically went about trying to figure out what was going on with our cooling system and was able to isolate the issue. He did a reset and viola, precious cool air. He did such a great job, I will be getting their maintenance program and if possible, requesting he be the technician. So far I’m impressed. Way to go Service Experts you have won my business.

They used to be good and friendly and on time. Now I don't know what happened.. I had set up 2 appointments for maintenance, first time they call and said they are short staffed, the day off. When u already made the plan.So I rescheduled.. and this time they claimed the left me a voicemail, but no missed call, no voicemail.. same excuse, we are short staffed..And the lady who answered the call, didn't even apologize for anything, plus once I complaint about it, she hung up on me. I called back again and they would not pick up my call. They charge me every month, but would not talk to me. How pathetic is that. I'm looking for a new service this summer.Update: David had reached out to take some corrective action. I appreciate that. Now we wait for the 3rd appointment.

As a first-timer with water heater issues, I really didn’t know what to expect. John C. came out same-day, gave a diagnosis, and worked out a next day replacement/install! The following day, Ryan N. came in at about 9:15 and had everything done by 12:30!I couldn’t be happier with the service that Ryan and John provided and I certainly look forward to working with Service Experts in the future.

I called Service Experts for a quote on attic insulation since they were on Duke Energy’s preferred vendor list. A salesman Brian came to my home and gave me a quote. We decided to go with them. He set us for a Friday morning date and had me prepay $1700. Come Friday morning he emailed me asking to move it to Saturday. I said this was unacceptable since I took off work already for the entire day. The crew arrived around 12 and it turns out Brian did not tell them what he had told me and they did not have the materials to complete the job. They called the owner, I called Brian, the owner called me and it was very clear this company had zero communication or professionalism. I cancelled on the spot and had to find a new company. Stay away and do not waste your time.

We have been using Service Experts for years for our HVAC needs. We used them recently to replace our gas hot water heater, and although the price was much higher than we expected to pay, the Tech, Ryan Nilsen, did a fantastic job. He was very professional, worked quickly and cleanly, and left no mess behind. Chandler & Pat were wonderful — they took time to explain everything in simple terms, provided helpful advice and insights, and delivered great service!

Do not get the advantage plan for your hot water heater. I had my hot water heater for years with absolutely no problems. I got a new HVAC and they convinced me to add on the hot water heater. What a huge mistake. I had them come out and check it because the water was not getting as hot. They told me that the thermostat needed to be adjusted. I have had the thing 8months, so this did not make sense. 2 hours after they leave the water heater starts to beep, so loud you can hear it all over the house. When I called service experts, the response was they could do nothing until the morning between 8 and 10am. Why am I paying this exorbitant amount of money for nothing, but sorry customer service. If I had not signed a contract, I would get rid of them in a heart beat. This is so unacceptable in today's market. In conclusion, I would not use any of their services in the future.

Service Experts not only helped coverup Lennox's well-known defective coil issue also took it as a money-grubbing opportunity. Their technician will advise you to do a $198 leak search even though they already knew the coil highly likely was leaking. My 4 years old Lennox HVAC unit no longer cooling last week, a Service Experts technician came, checked both indoor and outdoor unit. I was told refilling refrigerants (total $500) and wait next technician to come to do leak search is a better choice because leak search may take up to 5 hours. But the technician didn't bother to mention new coil replacement would empty all refrigerants, so $500 I paid will definitely go for nothing. And it took about 5 minutes to identify the leaking coil by the next technician just few days later. Now I have a 3000+ repair estimate for a defective coil including $800+ refilling refrigerants! Great job Lennox, Great job Service Experts!

Service Experts got us on their schedule the very next morning when our upstairs AC stopped working. Daniel and William quickly diagnosed the issue and provided excellent service while repairing the system. They were courteous, patient, and answered all my questions with ease.

We have had a contract with Service Experts for the last 2 years and they are very proactive in reaching out to schedule maintenance services. I called in today because our AC stopped working momentarily but then resumed working; Jordynn took my call and was very pleasant to talk to and was able to schedule a visit just to make sure that everything is working correctly. Jordynn was polite, attentive, and personable; everything you want when you have to schedule a service with either your heating or air.

They came out for a free service, and to discuss their membership plan. They looked over my equipment and they left a loose cord so my ac didn't work. Called them up and they came and fixed it. The membership plan was very limited in coverage.

Excellent service. Zack was prompt, friendly, respectful of my home and worked diligently even in the frigid Temps.

Martin was very professional and took the time to trouble shoot the issue with our boiler. Will use again in the future.

Wait time from placing call to when technician arrives is vey minimal. They also do a great job of keeping you informed when the tech is to arrive. Plus I have found the techs to be most pleasant and professional. And they have different payment options to help with billing. Highly recommend Service Experts.

When the technician arrived he said he was there to service a tune up. I never asked for a tune up when I scheduled the service. My unit stopped working, I had no idea why. The technician was surprised and looked unsure of how to diagnose the issue. He called for backup support. The backup support was more interested in selling a rental unit than diagnosing my issue. I was told the system is out of refrigerant and I “likely had a leak” but would need to pay in addition to the $100 service charge, $537 for leak testing. I asked was there any sign or indication of a leak, and I was told, they cannot tell and need to perform the test. My time was wasted and so was my money as I didn’t want to pay $537 only to know where the leak was coming from and then pay the additional repair costs which they estimated to start at $2500 + the cost of refrigerant at over $1200. I got a second opinion and was told very quickly where the leak was coming from and how much the repair would be, without the additional fees Service Experts tried to sell.

Called for service on Sunday 2/23/2020 because our new HVAC system installed on Tuesday 2/18/2020 stopped working. The thermostat had no power and we had no heat.When we called, we were informed a service representative would be at our home that afternoon.Daniel McEleven arrived as expected and he immediately began work to determine the problem. Very soon we had a working thermostat and heat. But he didn’t stop at that point. He continued to diagnose the issue and worked to reset the electronic issue that caused the shutdown of our system and that he was certain the problem had been resolved.Major kudos and 👍 for Daniel. I joined the advantage program about 2 years ago, and immediately starting having issues with the brand new unit installed. Over these 2 years, I've had my heat and AC go out and require repair more than I have needed in my lifetime combined. They may come out within 24 hours but rarely do they fix it that day.Last week, my AC stopped working again, I called and someone came out the next day. He claimed that the issue was likely caused by a storm and a part would be ordered. He said it would take 2-3 days to come in. He also spent over an hour on hold trying to get through to his own company to order the part.Three days later no one had called, so I called, they said they'd message the parts department and call back. That evening, the parts department called to let me know they just ordered the part and it was being overnighted, so the initial claim they ordered the part was a lie. I've had to call every day since then, being told the same thing, that they don't see an ETA on the part, they will contact the department, and I will get a call back that day. I haven't received any calls back.I also expressed a concern that when they installed my new unit, they reused the old and damaged parts. The reason I suspect this is that my friend used this company and the advantage plan (on my referral, which I greatly regret), after the install, she found they had put a lien on her house, without telling her, and it was preventing the refinance they were doing. They ended up paying off the unit to get out of the plan. 6 months or so later, they had an issue with their AC, a technician came out and explained that while the unit was new, all the rest of the parts were old and corroded. Service Experts will not take responsibility for it nor will they fix it, claiming anyone could have put those parts in after we did the installing.We are currently in a heat wave, I've got young children and animals, and a house with no AC.I highly recommend avoiding this company!

Daniel McElveen was the technician who came to service my heating. He was running late due to extra problems with his previous customer (who had no heat), and they offered an alternate date/time for service in case their running late impacted me. A different date would have impacted me more, so Daniel came by after he finished with his previous customer, even though it meant it was almost dark. He was professional and considerate, and even brought in a couple of packages for me which had been left on my front porch.

The service technician (Daniel McElveen) was very professional and quickly repaired my system. I would have given Sevice Experts five stars but they have started using call centers in overseas countries where the operator speaks little English and I struggled to get an appointment scheduled. After I did succeed in scheduling my appointment it was changed without anyone checking with me to ensure I would be available or even notifying me of the change. The only reason I became aware of the change was because I called to confirm my appointment. Service experts used to be much better than this. Their recent changes aren’t for the good.

I have been in customer service for over 30 years. This was perhaps the best experience I have ever had on the receiving end. Professional, respectful and educational all come to mind when I describe the service my technician, Bryan Costello, provided from start to finish. He is an asset to this company. I will continue to use this company and highly recommend them for any service need.

I have a serious leak and had an appointment scheduled by 12 today. They now tell me they can't come until 2 which is when I have to leave for work. They also say they can't come tomorrow leaving me stuck with serious water damage because they can't make the time they said they would come.

The technician cut a 8 by 9 piece of sheet rock from the wall. It immediately notice the gas valve bolt was loose he tightened the bolt.This all took less than 10 minutes then he needed to check to make sure the valve was not leaking. He leaves the premises for a little while and returns with the necessary tools to check his work. He says he needed a pressure gauge to see if the system was leaking when I asked him if he had this equipment on his truck he says he had to go to 2 stores to buy another one because the one he used was broken. He ranted about having to pressure check the system because the gas company turned the gas off in put a lock on the gas metre. We then spoke about A $5 monthly membership that I was offered when I called for service. The technician told me the membership was $12 the $5 membership did not exist. The technician spent about 45 minutes in my home not including the time it took him to go and get equipment he should have had. I think $408 is a little extreme for 45 min of work to tightening a bolt and pressure checking a system which is part of the process. At those rates I think I need to change my profession. After contacting service experts about this incident and explaining what happened they quickly Rectified the situation. Customer service was awesome. Any company can make a mistake but good companies make sure the customers are happy. I did not receive anything for free but I paid a good price for good work. I will gladly recommend this company to anyone.

The communicator part between the thermostat and the HVAC unit broke (under warranty) and we had no heat. The appointment was made weeks ago amd they cancelled at the last minute amd said they have a shortage of workers for maintenance calls now and that soonest they can do it is July. I'd like to update that the escalation team has worked with me on the problems I had and I am very happy with the way it worked out.They lied to me about having installed a new water heater for over a year so when I got home from being out of town there was no hot water. Then when they did install the new one, they didn't do it right so I came home from being out of town and there was no hot water for a second time Then they shut the gas off and didn't bother to tell me so this is the third time that I came home to no hot water. They are a horrible and unprofessional company that deserves to have their license revoked. They want to charge me almost $4,000 for a water heater that doesn't even work. Please do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

I have been a Service Experts customer since 2011. I've bought my full HVAC, in-line humidifier, crawlspace drainage mitigation, encapsulation and dehumidification from them. I have had spring A/C and fall heater maintenance done every year that I've lived there.My A/C stopped working. I called at 8am, requesting emergency service and was told I would be put on a list and they would fit me in that day. I called at 1p, confirmed that I was on the list. I called at 5p, was told that my case was assigned to a tech, and they work 24/7. I called at 9p, was told that they might be there 11:30p or so, but WOULD be there. At 10p, I received a call telling me they couldn't make it. I asked about the 24/7 service and being assigned to a tech, and was told that the call center made a mistake. They would send someone the next day. The next day, the predicted temperature was 87°, with 90s the rest of the week, and I had a doctor appointment the next day, which I cancelled.Rashan called at 9:15 the next morning, and arrived at 9:30. He has done excellent service on my unit before. He diagnosed the problem and repaired it. He addressed any concerns and questions I had about my unit.Rashan gets 5 stars from me for excellent technical sevice.Customer service gets 1 star for stringing me along for over 9 hours. It's better to under-promise and over-deliver; not the other way around. Better to tell the truth.

The techs and customer service people are lovely and do their best. My issue with the company is that they overpromise and under deliver when scheduling appointments. They have never once successfully appear during the first appointment time. I always get a call saying sorry we’re not coming today after all we have to come tomorrow and that is very disappointing. It seems like big companies always so business like this. They fail to realize that most customers work full-time jobs and taking time off from work to wait on technicians is not an easy simple thing and it often means losing wages to wait for a technician who is never gonna show up. Everything else is top notch though.

Our heat pump is making strange noise and not cooling properly. I called on October 1 at 11:10am. I was told they would be here Sunday 10/3 between 9 and 11am. No one showed up . I called on Monday to see why no one came and was told there was nothing on their schedule for me. Then they said they would have someone there Thursday 10/7 between 4and6 pm. They called and said tech was running late. He arrived after 7:00 and was here over 3 hours. Could not fix it and said a senior technician would come on Friday. That did not happen. I called Saturday 10/8 and they said they left me a message but I did not have any messages. So now someone is coming Monday 10/11 between 4and6pm. If they don’t come on Monday I plan to call someone else.

They showed up with a technician and a salesperson for what we assumed was a simple service call for no ac on our downstairs unit. It seemed strange but we thought it was their policy. Once the technician checked the unit they proceeded to tell me that the unit was bad and needed to be replaced. They decided the 3 ton unit could be replaced for $10500 for $189 per month as the starting price. This didn’t really make sense. They would not discuss repairing my existing unit. They also could not provide a receipt or explanation of what was wrong with my ac. After calling for three days and threatening to stop payment for the $200 service call I finally received both.The description on the ticket said that the problem was what my son and I found in 5 minutes, two days after they came out. The unit is not getting power to one of the breakers. So it is a simple power issue. We needed an electrician. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THE TWO GUYS THAT CAME TO OUR HOUSE ARE CROOKS. Their names are as follows Todd Atkinson (sales guy) and Charles Buntch (technician).As you can find in most all of their negative reviews this is the company’s standard policy, especially with older folks. Check out the BBB reviews as well. The owner has replied and sounds sincere but has clearly done nothing to discourage the deplorable acts of his employees

Our technician, Ricky, is the best! He is so professional and thorough in his work and we can always count on him to give us an accurate home health report. He is also a very pleasant person and we always enjoy seeing him.

The service given today was AMAZING!! My heat decided to go out on a Saturday night/ Sunday morning so when I called at 8am Sunday I assumed I would get a voice mail system and have to wait till Monday. But instead, the call was answered and I had a service tech at my house by 10am and a sales rep at 11:30am. The unit will be replaced and all will be back to normal in 24 hrs and that is beyond amazing!! Ty guys for all you did for my family and I and know you have a customer for life!

I needed to replace my gas pack (heat & air), which was installed by Orlando Licona and crew, who were prompt, courteous, and did a great job, including cleanup and mulch around the new base. I wanted to add a UV lamp to the system, which was done by Stephen Swaney and another technician, including a place to view and verify the bulb was still working between maintenance times. Will & Mustafa showed up to my house around 9pm to check my AC that had been out for 7days. Initially I thought it was going to be an issue because of bad information we received about pricing and cost. Our upstairs ac quit working last Thursday, in August. We couldn't even sleep upstairs, it was so hot. We called Service Experts Friday morning, they were at our house by Friday afternoon. It was a 14 yr old unit that had already been repaired several times so we opted to just replace it. Their techs were out Saturday morning with the new unit, it was installed and running by Saturday afternoon. We couldn't ask for faster service. The techs were very courteous, they covered our floors before they began and cleaned up everything after they were done. Even offered to replace all our filters (with ones we already owned) while they were here. We expected to have a wait considering the current supply chain issues but that wasn't the case at all. We know our downstairs unit will go at some point and already know we will be calling Service Experts again at that time. This was a better experience than we expected and are very happy.

I've been a happy customer of Service Experts for several years. My most recent service was up to their same high standards. My technician, James Carney, could not have been more professional or pleasant. They called with updates on his arrival time. When I've had emergencies in the past, they have been there in amazing time and always taken care of me.

We used to have a good experience with this company and were customers for a few years. But recently our water heater went out and they gave us a price to replace it which was more than twice what our local contractor estimated for the same unit (and this local contractor has a better rating on Google than Service Experts). They also refused to give us a breakdown on the costs -- just giving a quickly written price quote and saying it was a package price. They had a $90 per month option with a commitment for 10 years -- which would have ended up costing 3 times more than that alternate quote. It looks like they are upselling the Advantage program since it is easier for the consumer but makes them an unreal amount of money over time. In the end it just reminded me that no matter how much you want to trust a company, get a second quote and don't rush the decision -- even if you need hot water right away! I also wish i read the 1 star reviews on here -- there are a ton of people who have the same story. (and it would have saved us spending $99 on a what was essentially a sales call)

Will Foti was great a describing the available systems and their differences in easy understandable terms, which made it simple for us to pick the right system for our house. Will was low key and personable, one of the best meetings with a Consultant that we have ever had.The equipment that was ordered arrived early, and Will made sure we could move our install date to an earlier day so that we would be ready for the upcoming heat wave. My experience with service experts started out pretty rough and it was that way for over a year. Nothing much has changed as far as communication with supervisors and other people in the office who are in charge of scheduling things like inspections and services. The technicians on the other hand that come out have all been pretty great and very experienced. If you plan to use this company, please make sure you stay on top of everything and make sure you get reference numbers and the names of everyone that you speak with. Other than the little issues we've had we love both of our heating and air units we also got a new air handler and a new water heater from service experts and all have been working great

What a mess. We chose Service Experts because of their low price but have paid in hassle. Their communication during the initial install was nonexistent; despite being home all day, I was never told how the job was progressing or how long it would take/was taking. We later learned that the system had initially been installed without a zone board, presumably to fit the schedule of their install team, but we were not told this until after the install. This required a second visit. (The unit we were replacing was still functional, so we would have asked them to wait and complete the install all at once, had we been informed that they did not have the zone board.) Even after the zone board was installed, the system was still not cooling the home, and this took two additional visits to fix. A part had apparently not been installed to route the air properly, so not only did the unit not cool our house, but we also paid to cool our crawl space for two weeks until they made the fix. We filed a complaint regarding all of these issues but never heard back. Then, only weeks after Service Pro inspected the unit and install this fall, we found out that the heat did not work because of a broken circuit board. We were told that they could fix it for free on Monday or for $150 on Saturday—the fee to open their store on a Saturday to get the part(?!). (Meanwhile, we have dogs and a pregnant person in the house so waiting until Monday was not an option, and Service Pro certainly did not offer to put us up elsewhere while it was 40 degrees inside our home.) We have filed a second complaint with management but can’t say we anticipate hearing back about that complaint either.

I've used Service Experts for a long time now, and always appreciated their honesty and willingness to explain what is going on with a particular problem or opportunity and separate that from their opinion, which is also very helpful and experienced. As a good example, I just upgraded an ancient heat pump, and Everett was really great at explaining the situation, the likelihood of my old system failing this year or next, and all the options I could do with an upgrade (or staying put). He was extremely helpful with all the possible choices I could make, including financing. He had everything to do with how I made my decision, and was not the salesman type at all. The team that came to install were very respectful and experienced as well. I am happy with my service.

Got tired of being screwed by Carolina Comfort. They show up 12 hours to a whole day late. They don't order your parts, so you are struck longer without heat, so I gave Service Experts a call. They got a tech out the next day. Brian fixed my heat pump quickly and explained what was going on. I'm satisfied.

Always get competitive quotes. If your installer finds problems they missed in their original fix, they probably aren't experts at their trade.Service Experts installed a replacement heating and cooling system in my sweetheart's home. About a year later she commented that her bedroom was always colder in the Winter and hotter in the Summer than before the replacement. I suggested maybe the system needed to be balanced so she called Service Experts to check it out.They found the problem almost immediately. You need an additional return because there are too many vents in [the bedroom]. They assured her this would resolve the issue. Then they found that one of the vents fed the garage and would need to be disconnected or require a safety valve to prevent vehicle exhaust from entering the the house.When these fixes didn't work, calls to Service Experts went directly to voicemail. Frustrated and at a loss for how to resolve the problems, she asked for help.So the problems at this point are that the bedroom is still hotter or colder than the rest of the house and the garage no longer receives any heating or cooling. Additionally I'm asking a simple question, why weren't these issues, especially the safety issue, addressed when the system was replaced?I called three Heating and Air companies that were well rated online and with no BBB complaints. Looking at Service Experts, the BBB receives over 100 complaints a year on average.Each company was paid to review the system and independently came to the same conclusions. The additional return was unnecessary in the bedroom. The old unit was able to heat and cool the bedroom properly and that's the clue. The real problem was that the new system was grossly over powered for the space. This caused it to short cycle which means that it didn't run long enough to evenly heat or cool the house and it also was unable to adequately remove humidity in the Summer. Cooling could be addressed fortunately as the air conditioner had the ability to run at a lower power, but heating was not resolvable. The only way to address that would be to replace the heating system completely or place a small space heater in the bedroom. Even seasonal balancing will not resolve the heating issue.For the garage, the safety valve they installed was a 90 cent part that was installed backwards, preventing the garage from heating or cooling and allowing air from the garage to enter the house. The valve clearly has a label stamped into the metal case indicating which way should have been installed. Reversing the valve would have allowed the garage to heat and cool again, however none of the companies felt this was an appropriate resolution for the hazard it was intended to resolve as the valve selected didn't completely seal. An appropriate flow valve was installed as well as a carbon monoxide detector.The total charge to resolve Service Experts miscalculation and failed fix was $130.00 plus life with a space heater. Replacing the heating system was simply cost prohibitive.Service Experts had the opportunity to resolve this. When that resolution didn't work, they stopped taking calls. I'll leave it to you, dear reader. to decide why that was the case. Best of luck with your heating and air project!

Long story short, we elected to replace our aging furnaces and air units with new, higher efficiency systems and convert our house over from LP to natural gas.I really can't say enough about the professionalism and expertise displayed by every single person I've dealt with from Service Experts throughout this whole process. Thanks to Ray Bunch and Rob Mitchell for all the time they spent with us assessing our previous system, addressing our concerns, and answering our many questions. This was a pretty big decision for us, and these guys really went the extra mile to make sure we had all the information we needed. There was no pressuring one way or the other, which was appreciated. Sergio Sanchez and the rest of the installation crew were top notch. I hardly knew they were there, they were very polite, and the work was completed quickly and cleanly. The county inspector said during the inspection, These guys always do good work, so that was reassuring. Bryan Costello was also very helpful in finishing up once the gas company got the meter installed, and showed us everything the new thermostats could do.The new system is heating and cooling like a dream and runs so much more quietly than the old system. Love it!I've dealt with a lot of companies and services in my life, and I can honestly say I've rarely been this pleased with the experience.

Service Experts were the only people who picked up their phone and got out to me that night and by 9:30 am the next day had their team Installing a new system. I contacted others and there estimates were high and only had financing but paying so much more jus for financing. They also did not include service and repairs with that. So I reached out to Service Experts. They had someone to come out next day to give estimate.William Foti contacted me when he was on his way and gave me an ETA. He was very prompt. He came and checked everything. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Gave us a deal with the advantage plan. Within 2 days they were out tearing out old and putting in new. From Cole, David and George installing and fixing everything. Cole was so very helpful and made sure everything running great. Made the experience smoothly and non stressful. Also had John come and replace our water filter for our house and he was on time and efficient. Very nice set of guys.We also wanted rock instead of mulch by unit. So they had to send another set of guys a week later to remove mulch and put out rock. So Eduardo and Alex came out today. They came and noticed they had wrong rock and left to drive almost hour and half to get right one and come back and fix it.Everyone from Will down to Cole and Eduardo went above and beyond to make me happy. Pleasant experience and would highly recommend them.I am enjoying new unit and breathing fresh clean air!!You got 1 happy customer. 4 stars because of mixup with mulch and rock.

I have been a customer of Service Experts for over 20 years. They've installed 2 complete HVAC units for me in that time & I held a maintenance contract wit them. Thursday my A/C acted up and they were there Friday morning to diagnose the issue and Friday night when it knocked out again. After a bit of a clerical error (first one in 20 years) The best tech ever arrived today - at after 10 PM to get my system back on line. He was knowledgeable, gracious, kind, and apologetic for the misunderstanding. He was the perfect person to send a frantic woman and to repair the reputation of his company. I am forever grateful to him for his kindness and skill. I will be with Service Experts for the next 20 years, just because of this tech.

Kids are impressionable and immediately said, I want to try that. Read reviews on Yelp and BBB- these google reviews seem like lies. Do NOT enter in to their loyalty program- do yourself a favor and just do not do business with this company at all. They are scammers and perform shoddy work. Due to the “experts” poor installation we were without heat when temperatures dropped and it took multiple “experts” two years to figure out the issue. When we sold our house after 5 years of $343.00 monthly payments to their “loyalty program” they tried to charge us an additional $18,700 price bumping the original agreement price up to almost double the agreed upon priceOh and when they installed our units they made a total mess -stains that I could never get out of the carpet, scratched up my railing and handprints all over the walls.

Our Tech, Rocshawn Jacobs, arrived on time, was very professional, and personable. He inspected the system, made a few adjustments, and explained fully what he had done to the system.

Called Service Experts at 5:30 pm due to suspected small gas leak at tankless hot water heater. Rocshawn Jacobs, the service technician, was sent out to assess, was professionals courteous, prompt and thorough. He detected 3 leaks at 3 different joints and fixed them all. He did a thorough job and the entire process was complete by 9:30pm. I am very satisfied with the work and specifically Rocshawns professionalism.

I had them come out to make a small repair on my furnace and they found that I needed a whole new unit or at the least several thousand dollars in repairs. With the limited knowledge I had, I questioned what I was told.I immediately called another company to come out and see what they could find, to verify what I was told, and get a quote on necessary repairs. They checked the furnace out in much more detail and verified everything was working as designed.

Our tech expert, Russell, had 22 years experience under his belt and diagnosed our water heater problem quickly. After obtaining parts, he repaired our water heater in good time. I had a zone system installed in 2001 to accommodate an addition to my home to enhance the efficiency of the existing system so the system would handle the additional square footage at a much lower cost than a new system would have been. The sales personnel and the technicians work with you on an individual basis to solve the HVAC challenges at hand which I appreciate. My most recent maintenance visit associated with the maintenance contract I have had for many years just reminded me why I continue to do business with Service Experts. My experience with the individuals I have dealt with earns the a Good People status in my book. I hope Service Experts continues to put their customers first as many businesses today seem to have gotten away from. I've used Service Experts for both HVAC and Plumbing, and I have a yearly maintenance contract for both services. I am satisfied with the HVAC maintenance. However, I am not satisfied with the latest over-the-phone quote to install a new toilet that I already purchased, but I just need installed.I was scheduled for someone to come out between 11am to 1pm today, but instead received a few phone calls. The last call the tech quoted me $536 to install the toilet that I already purchased. I'm dropping the Plumbing contract that I paid for. It's cheaper to hire a plumber on my own.

Terrence was awesome! He took the time to explain the furnace functionality, safety mechanisms, and what adjustments he made and why.

We had a fantastic experience with Service experts. I called on a Sunday afternoon with a broken HVAC unit and within 90 minutes Rocshawn (our technician) arrived. He was friendly and quickly diagnosed the issue and resolved it within 15 minutes. He answered all of our questions and made sure everything was properly working before leaving. Review these reviews carefully for how people are billed and you’ll see that “Service Experts” makes their profit not by repairing or maintaining existing units but by upselling new, top of the line systems coupled with costly extended service plans. In some examples the customer appears to be leasing their system/service agreement indefinitely. Also note that their 100% guarantee does NOT apply to their ‘Advantage Program’ which everything can get wrapped up in.I called “Service Experts” when I was rushed and upset because my AC had gone out in the summer and didn’t know who to call or what I really needed. An employee named Chandler (who I think was a Salesperson, not a Technician) came out to look at my failed unit and told me that it was beyond repair. He told me how I needed a new Bosh system and about the ‘Advantage Program’ and how it would take care of all the maintenance and stress of ownership. He also added that I could cancel it at any time. My paperwork states that I got their program for the first three months for free so I thought I could think about it within that time. During installation, Chandler told me that the new unit cost $8K. My documentation states that I’ll pay 153.25 for “Heating and AC investment” for 93 months ($14,252.25). I called them today to say that I didn’t want to participate in this program. Now they’re saying that I’ll owe $10,000 to buy the system outright.Go elsewhere!

Are used Service Experts regularly for many many years now they are always there on our close to the time they say how or if not they call and let me know ahead of time. The service tech, Tim, was here within the window and was very honest with me about my system and what he would and would not do to it himself to help save me some money It’s an old system and could be repaired to an extent but I have been putting Band-Aids on it for quite some time. He gave me tips on how to ease the stress on the system until I can decide about getting a new one or not. A very honest individual which is very refreshing these days.

My first experience with Service Experts was great. The technician, Ricky, was phenomenal. He was honest, knowledgeable, and friendly. Ever since that first appointment, however, my opinion of Service Experts has declined. Each tech that comes for service is more sullen than the last. I've also had the managers come and try to sell me a new system without asking.

The technician Came to perform my yearly servicing and shortly after he began there was a gas leak in the house. He shut off the system, called a senior technician to come check out the issue, then left. The senior technician arrived about 20 minutes later, turned on the furnace, and couldn’t detect any gas leak. Not sure what the issue was ultimately.

Just had a new upstairs system installed (by choice, old system wasnt performing up to expectations anymore). Most professional service staff I have ever seen in last 20 years of home ownership. They have been doing service on both my units since I replaced downstairs unit last year (went out completely in middle of summer, SE had new unit installed in less than a week). We take Service Experts with us wherever we go. We’ve lived in a couple different houses around the triangle area and they are always our go to. We decided recently to switch to their Advantage Program which means we got a brand new HVAC system AND water heater with whole home water filtration. I had a 21 year old HVAC system in a house I lived in for 5 years. During the initial diagnostic visit, the crew members were extremely professional and courteous. They took pictures and showed me the various issues with my outdated systems and proposed a variety of solutions, complete with cost breakdowns and detailed information. I felt like the interaction was a pleasant conversation rather than what you sometimes get as just pushy sales pitches, and I appreciated that. After deciding on a complete replacement, the work was able to be scheduled to happen very quickly. The crews were prompt on both scheduled days, and the work went quickly and smoothly. The onsite installation crews were both very professional and considerate. I would definitely recommend this business for anyone looking for an HVAC service team.

My AC stopped working in June 2022 and I called Service Experts with which I have a service contract. They were able to send a technician out that day which I appreciated a lot! I was very pleased with the service provided by technician Pat Sauter. He was skilled and meticulous in diagnosing exactly what the problem was, which he correctly diagnosed the problem: a failing thermostat and burned out wiring. I really appreciated his diligence in figuring out that I didn’t need a new AC unit! The repairs took many hours over 2 days because of the complexities of working in a house built in 1926! But Pat just kept finding ways to get it done. He was an excellent communicator and made sure I understood both options for the replacement thermostat and the costs. After working to solve the problem over 2 hot days, Pat patiently helped me get the thermostat set up and connected to my phone. His assistant was also helpful.We have had annual service agreements with Service Experts for the past 20+ years and have been consistently very satisfied with the furnace and AC checkups their service consultants do every 6 months. Their service people are highly skilled and very good at customer education. We have learned a lot over the years about our system and how to treat it well so it will last a long time.

Patrick came out and checked our system. It had been running constantly. He explained everything to me and did some adjustments.

I had what i assumed was a malfunction of my HVAC compressor. I called for service and they were able to get someone out to me the next day. Tim (technician) showed up on time and was very pleasant. I explained my concerns, Tim asked questions; not like I was an engineer or annoying him, just (for me) the correct questions to come to an educated conclusion. Tim recreated what I saw and heard and (every step explained) that it was the unit functioning properly, ensuring that when the thermostat called for heat it would be ready to deliver efficiently and without delay. (I would like to add that Service Experts also installed my HVAC system. I have not regretted that decision, professional, neat, clean and friendly staff and technicians)

We have the maintenance plan and Emmanuel did our check up. He was very friendly and took time to go over everything with me, being patient with my dumb questions and everything. Of all the techs we have had Emmanuel was by far my favorite but I don't have one I could say anything bad about, he was just a tiny bit more friendly and patient than others.Since getting on the plan we have had great luck with our system only having to call them one time in several years that wasn't for a scheduled check up. They do a great job and look for potential problems before they happen.

I was sold by this company's adorable commercials and became a monthly subscriber paying $12 a month for maintenance service. Suddenly my AC stopped working and I called them hoping to get quick assistance. Instead, I was on hold for over ten minutes only to be directed to a call center that told me a dispatcher would contact me and they never did. For 48 hours I was patient enough; I asked to speak with a manager and am still waiting for a call back. I cancelled my subscription but have yet to receive an email receipt. I love their TV commercials, but their service is beyond disappointing.

I’d been getting a light scent of gas coming from inside a newly installed gas pack unit - definitely not major but wanted it to be checked out. Daniel Mc. came promptly and after leak testing the gas line connections outside the unit, opened it up to get to the last connection and tightened that one. After reassembling the piping the odor was gone. I really appreciate his thoroughness in resolving the problem and my concern! Great job!

Really bad experience!Service tech arrived. Looked at pressure switch. Told me I had obtained a bad new part. It was recommended by Square D. Told me I needed to have purchsed a new nipple. Because of the position of the bad part I needed to hacksaw the pipe to get it off. He had no parts on his truck. If I needed this done, it would be $300 and be 2-3 more days.I called because I didnt have the tools to do this job. Rented what I needed, and did it myself. I had the correct switch, didnt have to cut pipe, ect. He charged me $106.00 after being told the trip charge would be $79.95. He was here a total of 10 minutes telling me everything that I had was wrong and what I had to do.Very diappointed.Mike

Matt Allen has come out for most of the plumbing work and he has done a great job walking me through his process and explaining what he is doing. He has also done a great job of helping me understand what I should be on the lookout for to avoid and potential future issues with my plumbing system.

The process to sign up for a maintenance plan and setting the appointment was easy and Daniel McElveen my technician was thorough and gave me lots of great recommendations to consider to keep things running smoothly.

Quickly isolated the problem and proposed (and fully explained) several solutions. The problem was that it was a Saturday and the thermostat I wanted was not immediately available. So the rest of the job was scheduled for Monday.Unfortunately, scheduling problems on both sides caused the work to stretch out until Wednesday. (It turned out there was a problem with the unit itself.) The tech that came on Wednesday was able to isolate and address the unusual results the previous tech experienced. After that the install went smoothly.Both of the techs that worked on my job were very professional, polite, and answered every question I had. Overall, if you discount the problem with the unit itself, everything went smoothly.This is the first time I used Service Experts and I would definitely use them again. The phone and scheduling parts of the experience were great - quick, efficient, etc. ( And that is a big plus because my first call to them was at 11pm on Friday night!) I knew who was coming as they called ahead and felt very safe.Finally, I want to say something about both of the techs I had. Both of them were nice, patient, and very knowledgeable. That in itself made the whole experience better. I would defiantly use Service Experts (and the same techs I had) the next time I had any HVAC problem.

Service Experts fit me into their schedule to repair a non working A/C unit on a 96 degree day. They were friendly, fast, and efficient. Air was back on in 20 minutes with a part replacement. Big thanks to Technicians Ray & Zack for resolving the issue with my heat pump. The initial call was for a tune-up. Technician Zack was first on site, discovered that the blower was not functioning & made a judgement call into the office & requested that another technician come out to confirm what he had discovered. That afternoon, Technician Ray arrived and discovered the exact problem. It was not the blower; it was the terminal strip. It had corroded. Called company for an hvac issue and was pleasantly surprised they were able to send someone out on same day. The technician, Daniel M., was able to identify and provide an estimate for work. Unfortunately the problem is more complicated than a 1day fix, but the technician was very helpful in running through the many options and scheduled someone else from their team for addional follow up. We didn’t, but signed up for a maintenance plan. They explain the options to you but don’t push to upsell you. The previous homeowners used Service Experts and recommended them. So we have used them for 3 years now. Our Lenox system was installed new in 2016. Every time they come for maintenance there is always something wrong and you should buy this. A sales pitch. sell, sell, sell. I'm assuming these service reps are on commission. You get a different service rep each time even though we have requested one particular person from the beginning. We had a dehumidifier installed in the crawl space and were told it would be serviced twice a year. A rep came yesterday and stated no, we only do that in the spring. You get a different story each time. One rep went into our crawl space and stated that there was all kinds of mold.....to his surprise I went down there with him and of course he was sooooo overly exaggerating. Sold us a encapsulated crawl space way over priced then a week later found out he no longer works there! I am extremely frustrated with their service. Can't do this anymore!

Quick fast efficient and kept me informed with status of system and brought an issues or concerns to my attention. Very happy with the price and their yearly plan options. Very affordable.

I recently had John and Ryan come out again for another plumbing repair that I had been putting off. I had issues with finding a good company with excellent plumbers and that is why I procrastinated so long. Since John and Ryan did such a great job on a previous repair, I had scheduled John and Ryan for this job as they came out previously and did a fantastic job repairing a main water line issue. I do not trust anyone else to do any type of plumbing repair in my home. I had such a positive experience the previous time before, that I will only request John and Ryan. They are both courteous, experienced and trustworthy and will go above and beyond to make sure that the job is done correctly and to their satisfaction as well as my satisfaction. Explained everything in detail. Wonderful experience.

Our technician, Gabe Smith, knew exactly what the problem was as soon as we described our issue. He had us back up and running in less than an hour. He seems to be very knowledgeable and personable, too. The rate was a bit for pricey for no longer than it took and it was a fairly simple fix, but we appreciate the promptness and reliability of Service Experts.

I am slowly repairing an 1893 farmhouse for cash as I go. I have a new heating & air system and now that it is paid for got an estimate and starting to replace ductwork. Billy got the financing done while he was here after we had the estimate no fussing . I avoid credit cards so that was a little bit of a problem but he cleanly and honestly worked through the paperwork and they will be installing that next. Superior heating unit and I am sure the duct work will make it all snug and cozy here. Very nice staff. They make problem solving a minimal irritation for the moment. Not a block. Thank you

But every time I called, there were communication inconsistencies within their records or no record of a call, part ordered, or callback. I have some experience and therefore exercised a lot of patience and grace.But now I'm done with playing phone tag and the wiles of going corporate. If you would have your family and children sit in a home with a non working unit for over a week, please post a TikTok. I bet it's hilarious and emotionally packed.Do NOT recommend this company for your needs. We replaced a 14 yo system, after having zero issues in the years since I purchased this property. Since installing the new unit from SE and signing up for the (dis)Advantage program, we've had to call about once per quarter to fix the same part. They do not keep you updated or keep their records straight. It seems they are understaffed and do not have the infrastructure to support all the service calls they get. Aaaaaand they upsell for products that don't even fulfill the sales pitch. Their prices and policies are NOT in your best interest and the experience could add significant hassle and hardship for your household.Go local. Find a small business with solid history. Sorry SE, the Times, they are a-changing. Folks aren't buying it anymore. CEOs need to support their managers and division leaders better, I guess. Profits over people doesn't last.These guys absolutely took advantage of pregnant me while my husband was out of town and I had three littles with temps at 20° outside and no family nearby. If I could give a negative 10 rating I would. On my spring contract I had someone to come out to look the ac unit on the outside. The tech came on 4/10. I did not want anyone in the house due to the pandemic. I made this clear when I booked the appointment. I have medical problems and can't be exposed to this virus.I can't begin to tell you what a nightmarish experience this was. The tech, who was not wearing a mask positioned himself practically on top of the back glass door. When I told him to back off he went off on me berating me. He also tried to convince me that he should be checking inside.After he checked the unit he told me I needed a new start kit for $185. I also needed a dual run capacitor for $195. I have the paperwork to prove this. I declined the work.All in all this was a very scary experience both from a health standpoint and an intimidating one.I hired another company to look at the unit and was told it was in perfect order. The tech wore gloves and a face mask. I told him what Service Experts found wrong with the unit and he indicated everything was in perfect running order, He also indicated that he knew he could have the virus and be asymptomatic.I've been with Service Experts since 2017. Quite frankly this is the first time the tech was a nightmare. However it was not the first time I suspected they were trying to sell me something I didn't need.I cannot recommend this company from any standpoint.

I have annual Membership with Service Experts. I have called 5 times to repair my damper motors. Damper motors are available in Aamzon or walmart on 100 dollar...They would not do only labor works, that is why I need to agreed with 325 dollar. However, they did not at all come to fix this. I already paid very high gas bill but it seems they does not care the membership. They dont even keep the call log when did I requested and how many times. When last time I said I want to cancel membeship then also they told someone would contract but that was never happend till. I am really frustrated and want to get rid of such horrible service

I use to highly recommend them but as of lately they have GONE DOWNHILL with customer service. The technicians are their front line people that arrive at your home and all the good technicians that provide excellent service have LEFT! (Which should have been a warning to us to leave this company as well). Now it's just anybody that they can find to fill time slots and appointments with no regards to customer service (rude) and doesn't' have knowledge (or skill) of what needs to be done. This is very disappointing and unacceptable. Kindness and customer service should be of the up most importance when running a business as well as highly qualified individuals to do the job. We will have to take our loyalty where it's appreciated and our business (and money) are respected. I also noticed in the the last few months several other customers have experienced situations such as mine, take heed to the other 1star reviews.

Just had a great experience with Service Experts. Daniel McElveen and Todd came out and serviced my HVAC system. They were very thorough and made me aware of a possible issue that could arise in the near future because of a motor leaking fluid. No high pressure sales. Also got a quote on vent cleaning. Todd explained very clearly the process to be performed. Highly recommend these guys for any HVAC needs.

George was thorough and provided good info on improving our efficiency of the air quality in our home. Moise explained a better air filter system which also will keep the air clean. We will consider both options.

We have good experience with the folks here in the Raleigh office which started 9 years ago with the installation of our current systems to replace the 20+ year old units. When we have experienced any issues, the items were fixed under warranty or at a discount with our membership.

Service was great! Came right on time diagnosed the problem. Part was in stock so was able to be fixed the next day, very professional & explained what was wrong. Part under warranty but paid labor cost. Very professional.5/2020 Had a seasonal check done recently on my heating & air units. All checked out fine. Had them install a new water heater choosing to take the water heater plan they offered. Hans & John were terrific & I am so pleased with their work.

Today we had our Spring/Summer HVAC service. Daniel McElveen was our Service Technician and he was efficient, knowledgeable and polite. He went and got UV bulbs and came back to replace them. We will be requesting that he come the next time for our next maintenance service.

Avoid this company at ALL COSTS if you care about the way they treat their customers. My sister was allowed to sign a contract (while suffering from early onset dementia) that obligated her to paying a monthly fee of around $200/month for several years. When she was no longer able to live alone and we went to sell the townhouse, I was informed that she had been “leasing” the unit and we had to pay Service Experts a fee of over $10,000 before we could close on the sale. She had already paid over $3,500 over previous years for the “use” of the installed system.When I attempted numerous times to speak with someone in authority, I was stonewalled. Since a dollar figure had already been accepted for the sale, my sister lost around $10,000 in the sale of her house. After doing the math, she had payed several thousand dollars more than ANY quality system would have cost. She was taken advantage of in a mean and careless way.

Brad and Daniel serviced my HVAC system. They arrived promptly and were professional and courteous. What I appreciated most was that they clearly delineated the additional maintenance items recommended to keep our system functional vs the unnecessary upgrade services that they offer.

I have been using Service Experts for over 8 years now and have no plan on leaving. The techs are always courteous, knowlegeable and friendly. Any time I needed work outside of routine maintenance they took the time to explain the issue in a way that I understand. Last time they also handled the warranty processing and scheduled a time to replace a broken part within 24 hours. My wife and I even have them service our rental units, because we trust them so much. Highly recommend Service Experts!

James was an excellent technician. My control board went out on my unit and would have cost me several hundred dollars to fix. My unit was already aged and was needing to be replace. He contacted Craig who is a sales rep for service experts who also gave exceptional customer service. He was able to assist me with a finance plan for a new heating and air unit and it was installed a few days later. Great service from them both ! I recommend service experts they have always been prompt when I need them knowledgeable and truly willing to help.

Martin Rosen with Service Experts was sent out to diagnose my system that was showing faults. He arrived on time, polite, knowledgeable and personal. He quickly diagnosed an issue with our zone system and informed me that the part will be replaced. Excellent experience! The main office had gotten me an earlier time for the technician to show up as their schedule was busy and I had a time scheduled that was 3 weeks out. The technician, Gabe Smith, showed up early and had been to my house last year checked the furnace and made sure everything was up to spec. One of the parts had to be replaced, but he was able to get the part from the main office, be back within a hour, installed and tested it, and I got a discount for having an annual service contract.Great customer service, experience and communication. It really does say something about a company when it is the same techs every year and the service is consistent.

I have the maintenance agreement and they definitely did an awesome job. The technician was easy to talk with and answer all my questions well. The office staff made it easy to schedule appointments. I would recommend them.

The Service Experts service techs (Rocshawn Jacob and Will) arrived on-time and did a thorough inspection for our annual heat-pump check-up. They were both very congenial, knowledgeable, and professional. We have been customers for over 3 years.

Right now we are very dissatisfied with Billy Brown of Service Experts. In June we had a new unit put in for 13,000 and an encapsulation for (can you believe it) 17,000. It was financed with the Advantaged Plan and ServiceFinance. We have paid faithfully through direct deposit to Service Finance and we were not aware we had another account with Service Experts. We didn’t have a clue that the tots cost would be 30,000. We are a retired fixed income family in our 70’s. Mr. Brown came out this week to clear up the confusion and it did not end well. Some words were exchanged and my husband mis spoke. Mr Brown got up and abruptly walked out and we haven’t heard anything since. Mr. Brown said he did all disclosures and that we understood exactly what we were getting and expected to pay for. I beg to differ. If he had told us that our total charges including everything was going to be 30,000 we would have stopped the process then. Also if we had UNDERSTOOD we were being billed by two companies we would have objected to that too. The work was done in June and now in December we are getting the bigger picture. We have only paid one company up to this point. We don’t know what is going to happen now. Truly I think Billy Brown is shady and unprofessional.

Our upstairs A/C wasn't heating properly. On the first service call, the Service Experts technician did not properly diagnose the issue, and the service he provided did not fix the problem. I called them back and they sent Bryan out the next morning. Bryan was absolutely outstanding. He was highly skilled, very pleasant, understanding, apologetic, and extremely thorough. He was here for over 2 hours to make sure the unit was working properly. I am very pleased that although the missed they mark the first time, Bryan did an outstanding job of making up for it.

Homeowner beware. They charged $99 to come out and quote gas line/plumbing work. Plenty of other contractors out there that will see what you need and quote free.**11/21 UPDATE**I was contacted by a manager and acknowledged they made a mistake. As it was not a service call, I should not have been charged for the quote and received a refund.

At our home we had a emergency no A/C up stairs. My wife called and they sent Mr. Alexander. He was pleasant and went straight to work. After doing a full diagnostic review of our system he found it was only a clog drain line. In less than two hours we had COLD AIR. I had a problem with my 5 year old HVAC system at my house where it wasn't cooling. Service Experts were able to get me on schedule immediately. The very next day Danny M (the technician) showed up and was quickly able to assess the issue. Danny M was extremely professional and courteous throughout, walking me through all the trouble shooting steps. Once his test were complete, he was able to give me a very reasonable quote and in a couple days my HVAC was working properly again. I have worked with many HVAC companies and Service Experts of Raleigh are honest and dependable. I highly recommend this company!!

I had a freon leak identified in a 2 year old unit (likely from a loose connection). This company charges $148 PER POUND of r410 to refill. I needed 3 pounds. Ultimately, the service cost over $500. This is a racket. There are reputable companies in the Raleigh area charging half that price per pound. Per the technician, this price is set by corporate. This is a great reason to go local and skip the massive markup. I wish I would have done my research in advance and saved hundreds of dollars.

Rocshawn Jacobs was a lifesaver! It was 100° with heat index even higher🥵🔥. I had been out of AC for a few days. Another repairman came out and said that since he did not have access to the roof he could not help me and left. I did tell him that roof access was not necessary for my problem. Rocshawn came out and saw the problem right away without even accessing the roof (though I had arranged for roof access by that point if needed). Everything was smooth and professional and I am as cool 😎🧊 as a cucumber! A great experience!

Had a service call set for weeks for a 2 hour window. Was told I would get a call 30mins prior to arrival of service professional, as I have been promised before (without call being done). Today no call was done, guy showed up. I mentioned to him and said I wasn't ready but come on in. He said I was rude and he wouldn't come in, went to his truck and sat there. He came back when I called the office. Then I mentioned only problem was the lack of getting a call. He blamed the office and refused to apologize. He left again. This unprofessional childish attitude is ridiculous. Use with extreme caution!

Martin just finishes doing the yearly maintenance on our oil furnace and I was very impressed with his knowledge and thoroughness in doing the maintenance on our furnace as well as taking the time to explain his findings. I thought that Ben, our previous technician was good but Martin is even better! Sometimes it is good to have fresh eyes check the system. Not many know how to maintain an oil furnace but Martin knows his stuff! Five stars for his work and I hope he is the one your company sends again next fall for our yearly maintenance.

Service experts sent a salesman out with the service call where they spent hours trying to sell us a $10,000 system instead of the minor repairs we required. I was charged over $500 for them to come charge our Freon, instead they blew a valve in our system and leaked all of it back out. Following this we had to then call another company to repair correctly.

Fisher Memorial UHC - Martin came out to perform the 6 months maintenance service on our equipment. He provided excellent service and also made recommendations for things needed to help improve our system. Josh (Contract Manager for our account) came by as well. He spotted some problems we were not aware of which was very helpful. We also needed to get a quote for additional equipment, so since he was here he was able to access our needs and provide a quote.

Cole and George did a great job installing my new heat pump. They were knowledgeable, efficient and courteous. Cole explained the new thermostat clearly so that I could understand how it works. They were more than above average. They were excellent.

Our 2 HVAC systems have been serviced by Service Experts since we bought our NC home, and we also used them in NJ for years. About 6 months ago our older system failed and was so old that it was beyond reasonable repairs. Salesman Billy Brown with assistance from Sales Manager David Lee were extremely helpful in arranging for our purchase and installation of a top notch new system with Lennox equipment, with which we have been completely satisfied.As luck would have it, our second system now 12 years old just stopped working properly. The Technician from Service Experts came to diagnose immediately and advised that several critical parts of the heating system were in need of replacement. I was carefully shown exactly the basis for the serious and expensive repairs found necessary.Once again, at our request Salesman Billy Brown spent a great deal of time with us along with the Service Technician to formulate the best plan for new system replacement. The suggested new system proposal was recommended as well by Sales Manager Savid Lee.Happily, the entire new installation process was able to be started immediately and was completed with perfect results 2 days later. Joe Bocchino came by to advise me on my system. At first I was going to replace only the blower motor. After discussing it with Joe, it seemed like the better option was to replace the system. Joe sized up a replacement and did his best to give me a good price. He might even be able to hook me up with a discount from Duke energy.

BEWARE!!!! THIS COMPANY PREYS ON SENIOR CITIZENS!!!!! 0 star.This company scams people into 10 year contracts. My father in law passed away a few months ago.Before and at the time of his death, he was not well but, as we were go his finances ect, we discovered that he had gotten into a 10 year contract with this company, in exchange for leased AC and central heating unit, maintenance and repair. Over the 10 year period he would pay his monthly service fee. At the end of the 10 years he would then have to pay over $10,000 to purchase the unit.The contract is completely abhorrent. It even says he cannot even talk/publish anything about the company that may reflect badly on them.

Our HVAC inspection/maintenance was done by Matthew Nichols. Matt started the appointment right on time. He was extremely professional, he identified some possible issues, and took the time to explain how we can fix them before they become a problem. He also was willing to work around my schedule to find the best time for him to bring the replacement parts we needed in less than 24 hours.
