We had a leaky sink. Our technician diagnosed the exact problem, clearly communicated our options, told us how we could save some money, and completed the job quickly and professionally. Excellent experience. Would highly recommend.

Do NOT call these people unless you have a money tree growing in your back yard! I had 2 toilets running/leaking inside the tank. The plumber asked my fiance if we wanted the toilets rebuilt because they would last longer (my home was built in 2003). Side note, the plumber arrived 15-20 minutes early and I wasn't home yet. My fiance said okay to the work being done because honestly he was trying to get out the door to work. Normally I wouldn't complain about a repair man arriving early but in this case it was an inconvenience. Anyway, my understanding of rebuilding a toilet is putting new guts in which you can buy a kit for at Lowes for $20 yet my bill ended up being $475! I asked for an itemized statement for what I was being charged but was told that all toilets are different (um okay) and that the bill was just for the job. I was told the job has to cover the company's insurance, gas, and the plumber leaving my house to go get the parts. Shouldn't toilet guts be something standard a plumber keeps on their truck? After the plumber left I was so upset that I called 2 other companies in Raleigh to ask what they would charge for the same job. Their charges were $150-$225 LESS than Midtown. I hate to think what Midtown would charge for a big job! Good luck if you use them!

We've had to call Midtown Plumbing twice in the past month or so for a couple different issues. Let's face it; these types of situations are never fun, but both times MP made it as painless and seamless as could be expected. Estimated cost was provided before work was done and one of the times we were given two options depending on how conservative we wanted to be. Both times the tech who came out was super friendly and professional. He called ahead to say he was nearby and could come early if it was convenient - so much better than companies who give you a window and you sit around waiting forever!

I have had plumbing problems in my home since I moved in 16 years ago. I am more grateful for Midtown Plumbing that I can express. I have NO plumbing problems now. All the old stuff has been redone by Midtown and it all works perfectly. This is the very best plumbing concern in the Triangle and I have tried all the 'name brands' and wasted quite a bit of money. Called Midtown because my other plumber couldn’t come out for a week. They were able to schedule next day. Tracy called 1/2 hour prior to the appointment, and was early, which was great. He installed a new garbage disposal in short order, and left the area cleaner than he found it. I am glad I found Midtown and will be using them from now on. Highly recommend.

Midtown is the only plumbing vendor to call in wake county if you want your job done efficiently, on time and for the best price in the market. I purchased 2 high end heavy one piece toilets for my upstairs bathrooms on Black Friday 2020 and had them delivered to my home. For over a month I have interview more than 6 vendors to have them installed. Few would quote a price on the phone, and the ones that came to the house before giving me a quote all had hidden fees and up sell tactics. My call to midtown was answered immediately, a price was quoted and a quick date was set for installation. Russell the installer, arrive on the date, on time and called 40 minutes prior to arrival. Two hours later everything was done and there were no variations in pricing from what I was quoted-which by the way was $300-$400 less than any other vendor. If you appreciate customer service and professionalism, and also want the best price in the market-make them your first call.

Jason our technician today 2/18 was awesome. He called to let me know his arrival time and was right on time he said. Jason was very pelite and friendly. By talking with him I could really tell he was very trustworthy and honest. I will differently give midtown plumbing a call when I have another plumbing problem and will be asking for Jason to come out! Thanks Jason for taking care of our problem today.

Midtown Plumbing recently completed a challenging project on an investment property that included re-plumbing most of the house, replacing all of the plumbing fixtures and water heater, and bringing the plumbing up to current code. Midtown provided an accurate, reliable line-item estimate and did not nickel and dime me to death with frivolous change orders during construction. Midtown’s personnel arrived on time, performed the work efficiently and, most importantly, worked hand in hand with the local building inspectors to resolve code related issues prior to inspections. Midtown plumbing is not the typical plumber. I've dealt with a lot of typical plumbers being a general contractor that are never on time or try to rip off customers who aren't knowledgable about remodeling and construction. Bill from Midtown did a great job for me. I have a sewage pump in my basement and Bill was able to get me a new lid for the tank, replace the pump and repair/update the pipes as needed. Bill called me and explained how it was better for me to wait a day for the lid he ordered and then fix everything at once to same me time and money. So on the 2nd appointment , Bill showed up on time, explained everything, gave me accurate estimate and did a very good job. I asked him for his card so I'll remember to call Midtown again if/when I need them.

All these things I mention I was unable to communicate with other companies when I was calling around for a plumber. Midtown phone operators explained to me I could buy my own sewage pump to save me money and time on the installation. Other companies wanted to supply the sewage pump which then they up-charge me a price.

I've had a few jobs completed by Midtown Plumbing and have been very pleased with their work. I was very surprised on how extremely knowledgeable they are and very professional they are with their work. I highly recommend Midtown Plumbing and will definitely be using them in the future.

So I asked them to see if they can fix a toilet that keeps making refill noise and I was worried there is a leak. The guy came and said the issue was a flapper. Replaced it and charged me ~$140. The toilet continue to make noise and I called them again. They came back and said now the issue the flushing valve and said they will charge me ~$200 to replace the part. So a complete new set of toilet will cost around $150 or a complete flushing system will cost $25. They just want to charge me $340 to just have the same toilet with new flapper and flushing valve. Their business practice isn't fair and they don't have knowledgeable plumbers to fix a toilet.

Update: They were supposed to diagnose the issue and fix a toilet. Mind you it is a modern toilet and not a major plumbing issue. Besides all parts on the toilet was almost new (a couple of years). Please don't keep saying I wanted only the flapper replaced for $140 when the complete flushing system is $25. I asked to replace the complete flushing system but I thought you will know to diagnose a toilet issue and replace a faulty item since the flushing system was new. If you have miscommunication with your technicians that is another issue but I never requested to go against the suggestion of the technician. Listen to all the conversion and initial job order request. Even after I report the issue wasn't fixed you continued to blame me for requesting a wrong repair than fixing the issue. You tried to up sale me to replace my water heater when you failed to fix a toilet. Just bad business. Good luck on your future businesses.

My upstairs toilet was leaking and a plumber was sent out ASAP to fix the leak. Great service and prices, I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a plumber!

I just had a horrible experience with Midtown Plumbing, LLC. They were scheduled for last Friday, which I had to cancel for medical reasons, and rescheduled and later confirmed for Tuesday. They showed up Monday, which the owner insisted wasn’t his fault because computer systems are man-made and make errors (after Amber the scheduler told me earlier that Monday’s appointment was the one I scheduled, despite confirmations for Tuesday).

The technician told me that it seemed to work out well on Monday because we already had the appointment for Tuesday. Amber, the scheduler, called and left a message for me Monday, right as the plumber left, to call to schedule completion of work, which — given that we had confirmed Tuesday already — I assumed was for the second bathroom in our house that was having trouble.

I didn’t get a chance to call her on Monday, because my entire day was messed up by the plumber coming on the wrong day, which the owner said again he was sorry that happened but computers make mistakes, continuing to blame the computer instead of accepting any responsibility for doing anything wrong.

Tuesday morning came and went. No one showed.

I called today and was told by Amber they couldn’t come out until Friday now (as we’ve had two tubs and two toilets clogged for our family of seven). I scheduled that because I knew it would be unlikely to have anyone else out before then because I would be starting fresh with a new plumber instead of simply trying to get work completed that had been scheduled for Tuesday. She said they couldn’t come Tuesday because I didn’t have a clear path to the bathroom for their equipment to pass through, and I explained (again) that I didn’t have that clear on Monday because they weren’t supposed to come on Monday but that the plumber said Tuesday would be fine as long as the path was clear, which I assured him it would be.

The owner insists all conversations were recorded, as a threat that I would be “legally responsible for anything I said” if I wrote a negative review. I hope they are recorded, because they support my record of events. He also said that because I was going to post an honest review about my experiences, he was canceling the already scheduled Friday appointment.

(He did offer to refer to me to a few other places, which I declined because I don’t want to work with anyone he would recommend after the poor service from him. But this indicates that he felt comfortable enough to refer me elsewhere, as he wasn’t comfortable working with me but felt fine connecting me with colleagues.)

I asked, “so you’re refusing to complete my service?” And he said yes because of all the “he said, she said” dismissing that everything I claimed was on record. I began to cry, and he laughed.

I have no doubt I would have been treated with more respect by the owner if I were a man, but my husband has been dead almost two years so having him call wasn’t an option.

Even if I’m misreading the misogyny, steer clear of Midtown. They seem fine at first, but they showed up on the wrong day, didn’t show up on the right day, and then canceled the rescheduled appointment (rescheduled from the day they didn’t come) because I complained.

Edited to add: at roughly the same time, in a seemingly coordinated effort a couple days after my review, several of the owners’ friends and clients left comments on my posts on multiple sites, many insulting and others calling me dramatic, dishonest, “hysterical,” and too emotional to understand plumbing. They’ve also made unfounded accusations of slander, once again threatening legal action where to legal misconduct has occurred. This says a lot about who they are as well.

We have had two extremely positive experiences with Midtown Plumbing. The technicians were professional. respectful and knowledgeable. In both cases, they went out of their way to ensure the repairs were completed in a timely manner. They also put a lot of thought into the best way to solve the issues in a way that would be the most affordable. I highly recommend using Midtown Plumbing.

Tracey was amazingly helpful. Presented with a vauge issue of water pressure, he was able to quickly identify the issue and come up with a repair. He then got started to do a same day fix, which was completed in just a few honurs! He also identified two other small issues, that he was able to repair as well. Also, communication and setting up the appointment with Midtown couldn't have been easier. We will be coming back to them with any future needs.

I called midtown plumbing on Friday for a kitchen sink that is backed up. They sent out a technician, Tim, to take a look. He attempted to fix a suspected clog but was unsuccessful. He then went into my crawl space and determined that my old pipes need replacing, and quoted me a price for the work. I paid over $200 for the time he spent that day, and we agreed that he and another employee would come Monday or Tuesday to complete the job. This morning (Monday) I called to ask when they would be coming, only to be told there was ‘a miscommunication’ and they couldn’t send anyone out until Friday. I pleaded with them to try to stand by what we had agreed to, timewise. The receptionist said she spoke with the owner and that he said there was nothing they could do to move my appointment sooner. My under sink piping was left taken apart and I suppose they expect me to wait a week without a functioning kitchen. I’m highly disappointed!

When I spoke with the owner in our ‘recorded phone call’ he acknowledged that the technician should not have promised the work could be done Monday or Tuesday without first speaking with the scheduler, and that he would talk with Tim about that. But of course he fails to acknowledge that in his public reply. Instead trying to make the customer feel responsible for the ‘misunderstanding.’ Wow.

Furthermore, a plumbing service was recommended to me by a family friend. I contacted this company and the owner was very sympathetic to my distress over my plumbing issue and came out all the way from Durham immediately on Tuesday and fixed the issue for $400 less than I was quoted by midtown plumbing. Now that’s service!!

Had a great experience with these guys. We had what looked to be a water leak in our ceiling. Someone came out during the initial call and made some observations, opened up my ceiling with the water damage, provided a few tips; however, nothing was resolved when he left. The next day, I filled up our tub since I had a hole in my ceiling and and discovered the leak. Called them back to continue their leak search and was able to find the issue.

They were very professional and did not charge me for another assessment since they didn't discover it the first time around. Both technicians were very knowledgable and provided great advice. Will definitely keep thier contact information for any future issues.

There was a lot of communication and confirmation. They gave us an estimate and then beat it! Work was dont under the amount of time they proposed.

Rob came out today within 90 minutes of the initial phone call to replace an outdoor Spigot. My water had to be turned off last night so it was urgent to get the spigot replaced in order to get my house up and running. He came with a replacement in his truck and made the repair within an hour. He was was very professional, wore a mask, explained my options and quickly and efficiently performed the work.

Based on my google search of expected pricing Midtown was wealth within the tolerance for expected pricing which is also a positive that the cost was reasonable to the market. I will definitely keep Midtown Plumbing's phone number stored and will call them again for future work.

The Plumber was very professional and took time to explain what he was doing to fix the issue. He also made some suggestions on what my sump pump needed to work more effectively.

Biggest disaster ever!! This deserves 0 stars! Called about a stopped kitchen sink in May 2018. Rep came and tried unsuccessfully to plunge the blockage but in process damaged the strainer. Then was unsuccessful at snaking the clog from under sink. Went to roof vent and was successful only in moving the clog, not clearing it. Thinking it was clear he ran water that backed up in the bath sink on lower lever below kitchen. Now there is water flooding the bath floor. He is unsuccessful plunging from bath sink and from wet bar sink behind bath that drains to same pipe and in the process damages the wet bar sink strainer. Now he has to come back later because snake is broken. When he returns 4 hours later he has been working in mud and boots and pants are muddy but he walks right in tracking and depositing mud wherever he goes. He is unsuccessful snaking clog so says he must cut a hole in wall the get better access to pipe. When he get the hole cut in wall he must now cut the pipe to get access. After he does he is still unsuccessful in removing clog. Now he says he must bust up my bathroom floor (ceramic tile on slab). I say no and he says then he has done all he can do and presents me with a bill for over $300. He leaves with the hole in the wall and the wet bar sink disassembled. Worst experience ever!! I used this company multiple times. Initially everything was great. And the customer service was nice. For my last plumbing issue, I was told a perfectly good faucet could not be repaired, was upsold an unnecessary repair and then told the only way to end the leaking toilet was to install a water pressure valve. With the unnecessary purchase of 2 faucets and the cost of a second plumber, I spent thousands on a $100 problem. I later learned this same company charged my 86 year old father to replace a pipe that did not need to be replaced.

Jason M was prompt, answered questions, and made sure I understood the issue, and what he would do to fix the leak. He was done quickly and even showed me where I can shut the water off without venturing into the crawls space.

Not professional and a poorly run company; Jason their technician was not interested in making any repairs. He only wanted to replace, which is clearly how they make their money. Their prices are extremely overpriced for the work quoted, Jason tried to tell me that plumbing prices are higher in Raleigh than anywhere else in the country.

Lastly electronics disappeared after the technician left; not only do they rip you off price wise, but they also help themselves to your stuff on their way out.

I spoke to the supervisor to express my concerns and he couldn't even be bothered to turn his car radio down to hear me.

Expansion tank on my water heater began to leak one evening through a small pin hole - Midtown Plumbing had a technician at my home the next morning as promised. Emergency after-hours service was available, but I decided to wait until the next day as the leak was not a major issue. The technician swapped out the tank, refilled and tested the system to be sure there were no leaks and the system was performing properly. Quick, easy and an inexpensive repair! Rob Stevenson did a great job repairing a backflow preventer for my irrigation system that broke in the freezing weather. He showed me how to isolate, drain, and remove this equipment to prevent this issue from occurring again. Additionally, he ensured my nearby water meter was fully dry after he was done, since the leak had flooded it. He went above and beyond my expectations for any plumber or technician.

We hired Midtown to complete an attic bathroom installation. Here is a list of the issues that we had with the work done.

1. The initial rough-in was not not vented properly and resulted in the need for re-inspection.
2. The shower was trimmed 2-3 inches too short on one side resulting in a gap that I still do not have a solution for (nor do any of the 3 competent contractors that have looked at it).
3. The sink was installed incorrectly and is not only tilted, but insecure. I will have to remove it myself and install it again using the method intended by the manufacturer.
4. One access panel was installed with space between it and the wall, simply because time was not taken to trim it to fit beside the pipe. I will have to remove all of the excess caulk and do it correctly.

The result of all of this is that there is significantly more work created for me and others that I will hire. I do not want Midtown back in my house because I do not trust that the job will be done correctly. In addition, my wife felt uncomfortable with them in the house based on the attitude of one employee.

We've had several plumbing diasters this spring during the height of covid. Each time Midtown has promptly responded and provided exceptional service. The technicans have consistently been very mindful of safety precautions and wore their mask. We felt safe having them in our home and were very pleased with the work!

I have used Midtown Plumbing multiple times since moving into our home last year. They were recommended to me by many friends and for good reason! Unlike others, they are extremely responsive and punctual. The first time I called, my husband and I were convinced we would be buying a new hot water heater as that was what another plumber had told us. We hired Midtown Plumbing to replace our leaking hot water tank with a tankless water heater and everything from start to finish was awesome. Stephanie was responsive from the office and scheduled us right away for a quote. Jason came out and it was one of the most through quotes I've gotten. It was also one of the most reasonable. He walked me though everything that would need to be done and took care of any questions that I had. He was prompt and functional. On install day, both Jason and Matt were communicative through the day of install. Both of them were great. This is the second time I've used Midtown Plumbing and they are definitely my go-to plumbers now. This time, I had Jason, who showed up exactly on time (early even!) and explained each step of the process for my sink repair and was very kind.

We had a water infiltration issue and one of the possible reasons was a pipe leak. Our home warranty company assigned the job to Midtown Plumbing. We had to change our appointment several times and ended up not needing them because the issue turned out not to be a plumbing issue. But big shout out to Stephanie at Midtown who was always pleasant when I had to change my appointment. Whenever we need plumbing, we will definitely request Midtown again.

We hired Midtown to conduct a presale plumbing inspection for a home we were looking to purchase and we were very pleased with this decision! Our home inspector was able to identify things that may or may not have been a concern in the plumbing system but Jason the plumber from midtown quickly identified all kinds of potential issues, laid out relative costs to repair/replace and generally just gave us a lot of great information to make an informed decision on in regards to this house.

After moving into a new house I realized a few valves were leaking under my kitchen sink. Midtown was able to send someone out the next day and he replaced all of the plumbing under the sink, including the disposal based on his recommendation.
