I had a great experience hiring golden rule plumbing to do some work on our 1950's plumbing. Joseph was knowledgeable, professional, and punctual. He also let me know what things I should keep an eye on and what things could use attention. I really appreciated his approach and their pricing.

Every step of my interactions with Midtown was a refreshing change of pace from my experience with any other trade company. It's super easy to schedule an appointment whether you call or use the website (if you call, someone actually picks up the phone!) Jason was assigned to repair our leaky faucet and shower head and took the time to explain everything to me, walked through our options and told us what to expect. He and the rest of the Midtown crew exemplified professionalism and doing business the right way from top to bottom. We'll be using Midtown for anything plumbing related from here on out and recommending all our friends do the same.

We have a leak in a bathroom sink which Eugene D via Daniel “repaired” 8 months ago. Brand new parts were purchased and they installed.

The entire assembly came apart this week and water was leaking worse than before. Eugene’s response was to share that we were way past their labor warranty and offered an even higher price to come out and fix again showing no concern for what seems to be poor workmanship the first time.

I was persuaded by all the great comments here to use this outfit. Would you expect a sink with new parts installed to work longer than 8 months? I do!

Edit as of 8/17: we received another response by Eugene D, blaming the situation on the new parts. While trying to defend his work he admitted that they knew the product we had bought from Lowe’s was not good and wouldn’t last, but since we didn’t ask, they installed it anyway. This of course gives them the chance to charge us again for the same project. In my experience, this is not someone who will partner with you when/if anything goes wrong.

Fair warning: it seems most of the glowing feedback on here is immediately after the project and not months later…

I was very impressed with Drew and extremely pleased with the service he provided. He was professional, thorough, dedicated and very customer oriented. His prices are very reasonable, and he solved all my plumbing issues in one visit. I could not be more pleased with his service and I recommend him without reservation.

PlumbV was recommended by my neighbor when my usual plumber would not return our messages. The service and prompt and very friendly. Ken diagnosed the problem with our hot water heater and had it fixed quickly. The fee seemed very reasonable. I would highly recommend them.

Working with Raleigh Water Heater Guys was fantastic! They were responsive and performed great work. I used them to replace my hot water heater and they managed with doing that in a tight space in a closet. I will reach out to Raleigh Water Heater Guys for any future work and would recommend them to anyone!

Poole's Plumbing (PP) is bad news. We signed a contract to expand our shower floor, but the costs were not itemized--just listed with the total of $3,674.49. After the first day, the plumber realized that he didn't have to break and repour concrete, and we asked to have the contract adjusted to remove those costs. In short, PP refused and threatened us with a lawsuit for breach of contract. They then tried to strongarm their way back into our house to fix problems with the shower floor that did not exist: We knew this from the Johnston County inspector who told my fiancé that the shower floor passed, which was corroborated in his report that we obtained even after PP pulled the permit. After their disrespectful, unprincipled and unscrupulous behavior, we insisted on receiving an invoice of costs of the work actually done to pay them and bid them farewell. We didn't want them back in our house. They continued to refuse. Eventually, they engaged the law firm they have on retainer and sued us not only for the full amount of the contract, interest, and their legal fees, they placed a lien on our house. All that rather than provide an itemized invoice and attempt to come to an understanding with a customer. We had emails, photos, and even a text from the plumber who said he left their employ because they made his life difficult by not unnecessarily breaking and pouring concrete. With all that, we were prepared to go to small claims court with truth and evidence on our side. Unfortunately, the lawyer filed in District Court. We were not able to engage a lawyer of our own because it would cost more than what we were being sued for and we couldn't countersue for their fees. We had to settle, and it was a galling experience. I don't think how this played out was an accident. It seemed like a very well-orchestrated practice by Poole's Plumbing and their legal team. Beware of hiring this adversarial company!

Glen and his team at Westover Plumbing are the best plumbing service I have ever used. Not only did they take care of all of my plumbing needs and repairs at my newly purchased home, he also has taken care of several of my clients. Robert was the technician sent over to replace my water heater. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, he also answered all my questions very thoroughly.I would definitely recommend Robert and Roto Rooter to anyone in triangle who is in need of a plumber.

I had a hot water heater issue that developed on Saturday. I called what I thought was a larger reputable company on Saturday. As of Monday morning at 0945 I was STILL trying to get the larger, and obviously unreliable company to my house. I called Carolina Plumbing and Repair on Monday morning at 0945. Within 40 minutes, Tim was at my house. An hour and a half later the repair was complete and Tim was leaving. I don't usually leave reviews like this, but after the issues I had with the other company and the GREAT response I had from Carolina Plumbing and Repair I thought--why the hell shouldn't I let other people know how GREAT this company treated me? I guess I should also leave a review for that other company that ended up being bad. I will do that eventually, I won't say who they are here but their initials are ARS. Time gave me an estimate of the repair cost within 10 minutes of arriving and the repair was right at that estimated cost. If you are looking for a plumber in the Garner/Raleigh/Cary area--in my opinion--you CANNOT go wrong with Carolina Plumbing and Repair. Go ahead, give em' a call. You won't regret it!!!

Newcomb & Company are the only ones I call. I replaced a unit in 2013 when Newcomb came in almost 2k lower than the rest for a new upstairs unit. I did not hesitate this year when my downstairs unit finally quit. Don't waste your time calling the others. They are trained to sell you services and equipment you don't need. Save yourself time and money. Give Mike Cox a call and he will definitely get you back to living in comfort as quickly as possible.

We hired Joe to install 3 sinks and 3 faucets after we got new granite counter tops. When you get new granite counters, the drains from the new sinks won’t line up with the existing drains in the house. I thought I would be able to connect the new drains by using a flexible elbow, but I couldn’t make it work. So I called Joe and he was able to help me the same day. He charged me a flat fee for each sink and finished in about 1.5 hours. He is a super nice guy.

A few months later we sold our house and the home inspector said the water pressure was too high and that our water heater had been installed incorrectly. Joe came over and verified the home inspector's pressure gauge was faulty and verified that the water heater was fine. He wrote a short invoice explaining everything was ok.
