Zach (tech # 338) was super helpful in with a leaky toilet and installing a sprayer. He was on time, professional and was proactive in answering any related questions that I had regarding the work and components. Would definitely call again (but hopefully won't have to) Great experience keep up the good work!!!

Roto Rooter was able to quickly respond to a critical pipe that burst and was leaking in our living room in less than 12 hours and helped to fix the problem. Master Plumber Scott Kreitzer was extremely professional and courteous and fixed the leak quickly once he arrived and left everything cleaned up. THANKS ROTO ROOTER AND SCOTT! Highly recommend their services.

We had a very good experience recently with the Plumbing services of Roto-Rooter in Raleigh. The dedication and cheerful attitude of both workers made a complicated drain replacement and cleaning a long but pleasant experience. Junior Saunders and Wayne, his partner, were competent, courteous and very professional!

I recently called Roto-Rooter to help me with a water leak. I was convinced there was going to be the need for total renovation of 1 bathroom and a closet on the 1st floor would need renew drywall and light fixtures. I was so happy to learn that the damage was minimal, and only need to dry out the areas and replace a small area of floor boards. The plumber who came did a great job of explaining that my son simply needs to keep the water in the shower and things don’t need to be ripped out or replaced. Then, Roto-Rooter sent a restoration specialist who examined the areas with state of the art water damage detection and took the time to ensure I knew how to fix it myself, I’m handy and this is really a very simple repair. Fanning out the areas then I’ll repair.There was zero fee, no service fee, no fee for examination of both affected areas.Genuinely recommend R-R Raleigh.Thanks.

I was very pleased, customer service was courteous and the technician Jean Claude was very prompt, even a bit early. He was dedicated to fixing the problem and helped educate me on the process as well. He was delightful to work with and gracious given the heat of the day. Highly recommend them.

The water heater developed a leak on a Saturday. I called the emergency number that evening and received a call back that a technician would be there Sunday within a 3 hour span. I received a call back from dispatch that a technician would be arriving within a 3 hr timeframe Ricky arrived a little over an later, assesed the problem which was a new water heater. He returned Monday morning with the new unit and on time as he previously committed to on Sunday and immediately went to installing the new unit. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous. Will definitely use this company again if needed.

Our technician Wayne,#3112, was absolutely excellent. we had a blocked toilet and water backing up from the washer. This was the third plumber we had out to the house, and nothing had ever been fixed. He explained everything to us, gave us a free estimate, and then proceeded with the work necessary to clear the lines. He ended up finding out that we had a septic tank, that we never knew we had. Had he not investigated after clearing the line, we would have ended up with huge and costly repairs. We were able to get a septic company out to empty our tank, and cant thank him or your company enough for his help and appreciate how thorough he was! I would recommend him and this company to every one, and all future needs we may have we will only call Roto Router! thank you

Fantastic service. Main drain line plugged up on Saturday night of MLK weekend. That means no water use - no bathroom, laundry or kitchen sink. I called at 950pm, dispatch called back in 10 min telling me the plumber will be at my house in 30 min. And he was. It was Tim - a very professional, capable and courteous plumber showed up. I had already figured out where the blockage was located. Tim checked a few things, then snaked the main line. Took a wile as it's VERY long... he fixed it. Flawlessly executed. Great job. Super employees. My only ask is that RotoRooter take care of this guy financially... freezing cold, late night and he has the absolute best attitude. I would use Tim and Roto Rooter again without question. Thanks Tim.

Damon was a true professional. Had my problem solved within minutes. Next time I need a plumber I will request Damon. No I will demand that they send Damon and I will wait till he is available. Roto Rooter needs to hire 20 more Damon's.

After calling at least four other companies for a plumbing emergency on Thanksgiving day, Roto Rooter was the only company that was able to answer my phone call, answer questions, and send out a repairman right away. The representative was so incredibly informative, helpful and calming. Wayne, the plumber who came out, was a lifesaver. He was a so incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, professional and timely. He calmly talked us through everything that was happening. Thanks again, Wayne!

The only reason this is getting 5 stars, is because of Herbert Gilmore. The first tech they sent was here for ~8 hours, couldn't identify the problem, tried a half dozen different things, charged me $456, then left without it being fixed. The second tech said that the first tech told him it was fixed when he left (which it was NOT and he even noted so on the paperwork), and that it was irreparable, and we'd just have to replace the toilet. The third tech (a senior tech that actually knew his stuff) was here for all of 10 minutes (including showing him the problem and doing the paperwork!). He immediately identified the problem, fixed it, and was on his way. If not for the customer service of Marsha, the follow-through of Stephanie, and the professionalism and expertise of Herbert, this would be a 1-star review. I'm completely flabbergasted that Herbert did in 5 minutes, what two other techs couldn't figure out in 8+hrs and wrote off as buy a new toilet. There's absolutely no substitute for knowledge and experience.

We have always gotten great service from Roto Rooter at Alliance Medical Ministry! Recently Wayne N. worked with us and did a great job identifying the problem and coming up with affordable solution that did not disrupt the clinic.

ROTO-ROOTER - The technician did an excellent job; however the wary of extra charges that are never disclosed (they call it mark up prices). For example the parts the tech needed to fix my shower only cost $100.00 but he charged my an extra $76.00 as a mark up price for the parts the tech purchased from Lowes

Excellent Service! This is by far the best experience I have ever had with a call for any type of service. John came out first thing this morning and was very detailed with the inspection of the problem and went over exactly what was needed. He was able to replace the shutoff value and replace the parts inside the tank to stop the water.I'm very happy I called Roto-Rooter and will definitely keep their number handy for any future service needs. Words cannot express how grateful I am to have clear hot water on the same day as the initial visit. My technician was prompt, attentive and professional. I suspected that something was wrong with my water heater - my tech confirmed my suspicions and gave me options on how I’d like to go forward. I opted for the expensive “let’s replace the whole thing” thinking it’d take days before I could use the hot water again. Not with Roto-Rooter… they replaced my tank the same day! No delay?! Yes, please! This exceeded my expectations immensely! The technician completed the entire job -removing my old tank from the attic and replacing it with a new tank all in one day without an initial consultation like their competitors! I highly recommend them to anyone needing repair or a full replacement fast!!!

Called for emergency service on a Sunday and had someone there in 2 hours. Very quick and did a great job! Even gave me a coupon someone else didn't use without me even asking! Would highly recommend.

The experience was excellent. called early in the morning and the service man was here shortly after. He was professional and friendly, explained what the problem was, and took care of it in a very timely manner. His name is Wayne, and his tech number is 3112. He definitely gets a five star rating from me for his service today.

Called them around 12:30 AM when I noticed the water was running when it wasn’t supposed to be and they were able to come early morning that next day. In addition to having telephone lines open 24/7, the fact that they do free estimates is huge as no other plumbing company in the area does that so it takes a lot of the pressure off the initial visit. They are always my first call and will continue to be under this business model.

Great service, easy to schedule and the communication was terrific. Work was done professionally and thoroughly. Only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars was the price.

Wayne (3112) did a great job on our drain. He clearly described what was going on, what our options were, and the risks involved. The solution we settled on worked wonderful, and we're thoroughly satisfied. We'll definitely ask for Wayne in the future!

Lesmond #927 was excellent. He diagnosed and took care of a toilet issue we were unable to the night prior to Christmas Eve. Would definitely use Roto-Rooter again and highly recommend Lesmond.

I was having a problem with my dishwasher not draining, I called and spoke with a very friendly lady on the phone who set up my appointment. I was called and given a 30 minute heads up that a service tech was on the way, he arrived on time, was extremely nice and knowledgable. He took care of my issue and I would call them again if I have any other plumbing problems!

Very thorough work and explained everything to me before, during and afterwards. He worked hard and went above and beyond to get us back up and running, including getting someone else to come out with a camera/different equipment to finish the job. I was very happy with my services received.

We were very satisfied with the speedy response and service provided. Would have given 5 stars except for the price, which seemed a little high. However, when your sewer line is backing up, you don’t really have time to shop around for the best price, so I don’t know whether this price (about $415) was in line or not.

Called roto-rooter, was expecting a few days wait. They had a guy out here within the hour. Technician 1116 (gentleman from Ohio) was very professional and I will definitely contact him and roto rooter next time I have an issue. Could not be more pleased.

Everyone I talked to here was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our main water line burst and they understood how dire the situation was and did their best to get it fixed the next day.

We had a serious plumbing problem when our sewer backed up. When the upstairs shower was on the downstairs toilet started filling up. The downstairs toilet appeared to be clogged, but would not clear with the usual plunger approach. We called several plumbers and even had one come out who was unable to help us because our clean out valve was hidden somewhere in the yard. We called another plumbing service (not Roto Rooter) and they could not get out to us until Monday - our problem occurred on Friday morning. Finally we called Roto-Rooter - in the future we will start with them! They sent plumbers out that same afternoon. Two plumbers (Junior and Wayne) came out and immediately diagnosed the problem. They had some technical problems having to do with the geometry of our situation and ended up having to leave late Friday with the problem still not fixed. Early Saturday morning (7:30 AM) they reappeared (the dispatcher called first, both Friday and Saturday to let us know that they were on the way). We really appreciate the heads up phone calls. We would especially like to commend Junior and Wayne for their courtesy and professionalism. They clearly knew exactly what they were doing and efficiently completed the work, including cleaning up the bathroom, etc.If there was an award for Plumber of the Year, we would give that to Junior and Wayne.Thanks so much! They certainly helped us out of a very stressful situation.

Although they arrived after the designated time, the work was completed the same day with the installation of the water heater. Christopher was very forthcoming with what was needed. Overall we were happy with the service provided.

Manny and Efrin were true professionals, kind, informative and respectful of our property. The folks here are quite good, the only downside is that it's pretty expensive. But they get the job done right, they arrive on time, and they respond rapidly. Sometimes it worth paying a bit more for that.

If you have a simple issue like residential drain issues do not use them! They do a set price which is great for more complicated issues but for a clogged drain or a simple job, it is insanely pricey. We paid $400 for a simple drain issue, they were here for 15 mins. Their reasoning was questionable but it was already underway before we could stop it. The plumber was nice but got dirty handprints on my white walls and left the shower dirty. The positives are they have a very easy sign up, called 30 mins before, arrived on time, and had someone come out the same day of sign up. The plumber also used PPE which was nice. But I will not use them again.

Scheduled an appointment a day in advance for a two hour window of 4-6 pm. At 5:45 with no contact thought I'd call to check on things. Rep was unable to give me any time frame on the technician. At 6:50 got another call saying they're behind schedule. Thanks. At 8 pm got another call saying the technician was wrapping up at the prior location and the rep would call be back shortly with an update. At 8:50 I still hadn't heard anything and canceled the appointment.If you're interested in waiting 3 hours past your allotted time frame for no one to show up use this service. I'll be looking for another company who can show up.

I was having issues with my septic tank. The alarm was going off and I wasn't sure what needed to be done. Robert, tech # 1202, was willing to come out on the weekend and fix the problem. He did not leave until he was sure I was taken care of. This tech went above and beyond to do what needed to be done. If you're in the Raleigh area and need plumbing services, call Roto-Rooter and ask for Robert. You won't be disappointed.

Our water heater died and we needed it replaced. We are a large family so we were very clear that we needed a replacement to be the same size or larger. The technician made the comment that going up or down 2 gallons wouldn’t make a difference but failed to disclose that he was installing a smaller unit. We felt frustrated that this was not shared, especially after paying over $3,300 for a replacement. Had he been honest with the decrease we would give a higher rating but were very clear how important it was to us and that was ignored.

This was an emergency on Saturday. The technician was friendly, very professional as ed did an amazing job. He replaced the whole house shut off valve and installed a new shower with valve. He also installed shut offs and an access panel. Even though this was Saturday there was no extra charge. Highly recommended and I will use them again!

Our service tech, Matt, was fantastic. He showed up exactly on time and worked outside in the rain all day to complete our job. Roto-Rooter has excellent customer service all around!

Great technician. I would highly recommend him. Easy booking. They gave a 4 hour window of service and still missed it by 2 hours. They called after missing the scheduled service window and offered to reschedule but if you wait that long you want your service. I would encourage others to shop around for more timely providers.

I had an Awesome experience with Roto-Rooter. Joe Young (0729) saved my day. He came in on very short notice (on Saturday withing 30 mins after I finished the call with hotline) to install my dishwasher, wasn't pushy at all and has a awesome working morale. I would definitely recommend Joe to anyone looking for help.

Aaron was on time, professional, and knowledgeable. At my request, he explored options for a tankless water heater with me. Unfortunately our situation would've made that install very difficult, so I opted for the traditional tank. In addition to the water heater, he also installed a pressure reducer valve to address our very high water pressure. All work was completed same day and he left no trace of dirt behind.

Moved in to a new house and the master toilet was running non-stop. Jeff saw immediately what the problem was and had us fixed in under 15 minutes. Price is a bit high, but the work was fantastic.

The technician, Erik, who came was friendly and did a really nice job. The way Roto Rooter handled the whole situation it was not that great. When I called I told them it was an emergency and they asked me if I needed someone to come within the next rwo hours or within 24 hours and I told him within the next couple hours so two hours went by and I got a phone call saying they’re running late it’ll be another hour. This happened about three times so when I initially expected someone to show up by noon, no one came until just about 4 pm. This was very annoying because I couldn’t leave the house to take care of other errands and I could not call someone else to see if someone else could come sooner.

Zach did an amazing job installing our water heater. He worked diligently and I felt bad for him that he was outside in our cold garage for 4-5 hours having to do the work! But he was very professional and courteous. He also adhered to the COVID-19 protocols.

Tim, our service technician, was extremely helpful and friendly. He spent over 4 hours trying to unstop a clogged pipe at my Granny's house on a Sunday evening and maintained a very professional and cheerful attitude. He was so nice and polite to my 90 year old Granny and really explained to her what he was doing. She was so relieved that Tim was able to come so quickly when we made the service call earlier in the afternoon. We highly recommend their services and the price was very reasonable for the amount of work and length of time involved in the repair.

The plumber was friendly and got the job done. But for plunging out a kitchen sink drain I was charged nearly $300. It took 30 minutes. Too expensive and I won’t use them again for only that reason.

We couldn't say enough about how Roto-Rooter made a difficult situation seamless and as smooth as possible. Every person we dealt with was amazing! I noticed a hissing sound in my pantry and discovered a leak under my house on Saturday, June 11. It was a slow leak from the water heater so I waited until the next day to call a plumber in Raleigh, North Carolina. On Sunday, I called and was very efficiently helped with a window of time to expect a call back. Less than a hour later a very nice gentleman named Herbet called and later pulled into my driveway. He checked the leak, wrote up the estimate, which was reasonable and expected because my house has old plumbing. And it was taken care of promptly. Matt the technician came out on a late Monday evening while both of my kids were sleeping to fix an issue with one of the downstairs toilets as I didn't have the correct tool for the low-flow toilet. He was very polite, and did everything possible to minimize any noise to resolve the problem. I would definitely use the service again.

I have to leave a mixed review for Roto- Rooter. We had a supply line water leak on our toilet that caused extensive water damage. A plumber came out on Labor Day weekend within a few hours and wanted $300 to replace the water supply line ($7 part and 10 minutes labor). Plumber was friendly, but that was a pretty high dollar amount for that repair.The water mitigation team that came was also friendly. There were some last minute changes in times for them to show up and appeared to be lots of staffing issues. They removed wet flooring and removed our toilet and sink in the bathroom. All in all everything went well until it came time for us to put our toilet back. The tech had put the toilet in our garage and covered with a black trash bag. We didn’t think anything of it, but apparently the toilet tank lid must have broke or something during the process and instead of telling us, they appeared to cover it up and left me scrambling more than a month later to try to find a new tank lid.I would not recommend them as plumbers due to their high pricing, and I would not recommend them for mitigation after finding out they either broke or took a piece of my toilet and didn’t tell me. I understand that things break, especially during demo but not telling me was the issue.

The technician, Luke, showed up within an hour and quickly diagnosed the problem and how to fix it. He was courteous and helpful. The services are very reasonably priced. I recommend if you have plumbing problems.

Our tech from Roto-Rooter Raleigh, Wayne, #3112, was awesome! He came over at 9 pm and worked very late to fix a blocked sewer pipe. It was a difficult job and he managed to solve all of our problems, even though there were several complications. Wayne was friendly and explained everything he was doing. I will definitely recommend Wayne (#3112) to anyone who needs plumbing assistance. Great guy who did a great job!

Fantastic, truly amazed. Highly recommend Rotor Rooter. Each person I met (many) were polite, friendly, and compassionate. Lets begin my story. Came home from church and walking past my sewer pump, there was water gushing out from the clean-out pipe. My personal plumber, two days later, stopped and said he couldn't handle the problem. He recommended another plumber. Second plumber service gave a one week waiting period. Third plumbing service sounded uninterested in my issue. Then I remembered Roto- Rooter. Gave Roto Rooter a call and described to the wonderful female clerk my situation. I was worried about the cost, and she politely said there were no extra charge for weekends, holidays or late at night service..She said their service technician would come by, diagnose the problem, and present the lowest cost to repair the issue. She further said that if I didn't like the quote, I could simply walk away with no cost for anything. Oh yes, I was ready. Before digging for placement of the clean-out pipe, they first sent a plumber to make sure it was not my sewer pump. Pump good. No charge. Another crew came out to try and clean out the pipe. Same problem, a blockage somewhere in the line. Instead of retrenching a whole new sewer line, They used equipment to dig to the city's sewer pipe and install a clean-out. Afterwards they sent in a service team to high pressure clean out the sewer line. ( Using my new clean-out pipe), Problem fix. A crew member came out, planted grass seeds and spread wheat straw, no charge.

Justin was very knowledgeable and professional. We had a leak at the connection to our whole house water filter. He explained what needed to be done and did the work very quickly because he had all the parts he needed on his truck. I highly recommend this company and especially Justin.

Appointment was 5-7 pm. After I called the repairman showed up arount 7:45. He was pleasant but asked me several times what I wanted him to do even though I had shown him what was the problem with the continuous water flow in the tank. He replaced the part (which sells at Lowes for $12 to $40) and presented me with a bill for $229.52 which was after a $75 advertised discount. Labor was $289 which I think is rediculous. He was here for approximately 30 minutes. Needless to say I think I was overcharged, repairman was very late (and I had to call to find out when he would show up - was told I would be notified within 30 minutes before he arrived) and obviously he was not informed as to what he needed to do. Not professional, lack of communication, overpriced.

Pipe broke in our wall last night. Called and they were going to send a repairman, but being Friday night and the March Madness tournament going on, I understood why I couldn't get a guy out. So, I postponed until Saturday morning. Jack came out and diagnosed the problem. He cut a very small hole in the wall and did the repair. Success. Not so fast. It was still leaking. He thought we may have to go through the outer siding of the house or remove the tub. That would be expensive. So, he thought a little more and went through the ceiling and wallah, there was the leak. He got us back up and running with minimal cost to us. He was friendly, prompt, fair, and I would call him up anytime. Thanks Jack

Our upstairs plumbing had a blockage. We called on Saturday evening to see if it was possible to get someone for Monday and were surprised someone would be available to help us the next morning! He arrived first thing Sunday morning and was able to clear the blockage and restore the plumbing in our upstairs after about an hour of work! He also gave us valuable insight and prevention techniques! I definitely recommend their service, the gentleman who came to our house was incredible!

Terrible experience with Roto Rooter this week. The technician didn't show up during our arrival window yesterday. My window was 4-6 pm, and a technician did not become available until 7:15, and he was 45 minutes away, meaning he would have arrived at sundown for an outdoor job that requires daylight. So we rescheduled to today, a 3:30-5:30 window. The technician failed to show AGAIN. Got fed up and called at 6:00 and was told there were still 3 people ahead of me in line to be assigned technicians. I went ahead and cancelled since it was clear we were going to run out of daylight again before somebody showed up, and we had dinner plans tonight. I realize things don't always go to plan, but it's truly baffling to me that I would be blown off for a second day in a row.UPDATEI'm changing my review to 3 stars after being contacted by management to apologize. Apparently this job required a more senior technician and those slots should be scheduled on 4-hour windows, not 2-hour ones, and never so late in the day. So it was a scheduling issue where I should not have been given those appointment slots in the first place. They also offered me a $100 credit on labor. Unfortunately, the quote for the work still came in extremely high ($550 with the $100 credit) and another reputable licensed/warrantied plumber was able to do the job for all of $295. But I appreciate how management handled my feedback.

Roto Rooter came and unclogged my garbage disposal in under an hour. Got things rolling and even came a couple minutes early! Great service! (Also, don't put egg shells down your drain!)

I worked with Jason and Doc. They are both extremely helpful, super friendly but also professional, and very efficient. I encountered an unexpected disaster the other night. There was a leak under my kitchen sink, which I wasn’t ware of until my neighbor found me and told me that water was dripping from the ceiling. It was the middle of an evening and I called Roto-rooter. Jason came within an hour and diagnosed the problem within a second. I needed a new faucet but since I did not know exactly which kind would fit, he kindly went to the store with me and helped me pick out the most cost-efficient one. Because the complication of my leak, Jason then asked his coworker Doc to come, who is in charge of situation like mine. Doc helped me figure out my insurance coverage, helped me to file a claim to my insurance company, and coordinated in between to set up a time for his crew to come to repair damages in both my home and my neighbor’s. They both turned the whole situation, which felt to me as a helpless disaster, into an easy piece. I do not know if all workers in Roto-rooters are like them but they definitely have awesome work ethics and must be somewhat reflective of the company’s moto. Thank you Jason and Doc! Roto-rooter plumbing came early Monday morning after a late Sunday call regarding our toilets backing up. David Guin (Tech 2379) was great to work with and considering the temperature was in the teens and 20's that morning, he checked every possibility of what might be causing our issue. After determining we did have some grease backup, certainly nothing that would have caused our issue, we contacted the city to come out.The city of Raleigh (although we are in Zebulon, Raleigh handles all water and sewer issues) came out and said they would come back later to run a camera. David let them know he was really wanting to hang around to see the outcome. They came back immediately since I think they realized Roto-Rooter was on top of this. David stayed until they came and ran the camera and determined that it was in fact their issue.David was very professional and showed real concern regarding solving our issue. As long as Roto-rooter has employees like this, they will continue to be our go too for any plumbing needs.

My wife and I were very pleased with the professional service and very quick response by Roto-Rooter. They did a wonderful job for a very fair price and were extremely courteous and professional. When I have plumbing needs in the future, I have no reason to look anywhere else.

Austin did a great job of getting our water main reconnected after a roots forced a break. Was a challenging, muddy job but he got it done quickly and with a very professional, pleasant demeanor.

The service provided was to replace pipes supplying the gas log fireplace. The exterior piping was severely corroded. The serviceman did a thorough and very professional repair, attending to all aspects of the replacement, improving the safety as well as the appearance of the gas line supplying the fixture. He was knowledgeable, polite, thorough, and took care to be sure that I understood what was involved and that I was satisfied with the work once completed.

We had a leak in our water heater tank and Roto-Roter sent Jason who arrived on time and inspected the unit to see if it could be salvaged. While a repair would’ve been possible, given the age of the heater we thought it would be wise to go with a brand new State heater. Jason skillfully installed it and trained us how to annually service the water every year by flushing the tank and how to manually remove and inspect the anode rod. We are very impressed with Jason’s knowledge and careful attention to detail. We look forward to working with him on other plumbing projects as we continue to upgrade our older home.

When we ended up with a plumbing issue on the Sunday before Veteran's day, we weren't sure how much luck we'd have getting service same day without paying an arm and a leg. But I was able to easily schedule evening service from Roto-Rooter online, and received phone calls with updates on when to expect arrival. Despite that it was dark (November, so of course it was dark) and *cold* when the plumber arrived, he was very positive and quick to assess the situation. He gave a best and worst case, with pricing warnings, but then was able to solve the issue with the best case approach. Plumbing is never exactly cheap in my experience, but this was not as bad as feared, and apparently we did not even have to pay extra for weekend/evening service! I don't recommend having plumbing issues, but if you do, Roto-Rooter certainly came through at a time we didn't expect immediate assistance.

So thankful that they were able to come out on a Sunday for emergency work on the plumbing. From the person who answered the phone to the technician, they were all very professional and friendly. Definitely recommend.

John was our assigned plumber and he called early in the appointment window to confirm he was in transit. He quickly diagnosed where in the drain system to focus and explained every step in the process. The video camera clearly showed the root incursion and he made me aware of my options without a hard sell. I saw how hard he worked to clear the current blockage and definitely do not feel short changed. The broken pipe will require repair and I am comfortable selecting him for the work when I have it done in a few months.He also recommended to have the City of Raleigh look at the meter since it also showed signs of root blockage on the city side.

Appointment was available the same day I called needing urgent service on my only day off. The plumber who serviced me was knowledgeable, friendly and answered my questions and concerns. My appointment was between the hours of 0800-1200 hrs,. The technician (plumber) arrived @ 1400. After explaining what I needed done, I was told that two fill towers in the tank would cost $408.00 plus parts and tax. So I said roughly $500.00 and they said yes. I have no problem with Mr. Bradley, he performed the task efficiently, but when I was presented with the bill I was charged $103.00 for 2 fill towers and the total of the bill amounted to $548.86. When I called the number to enquire, I was given to 3 different people and the last person had a voicemail that said to leave a name and number and brief reason for the call and she would return it at her convenience.I feel that I should have been compensated for my 2 hour wait and I also feel like I was gouged for the price of 2 fill towers that I could go to any hardware store and purchases for under $10.00.Update: I was called by someone at Roto-Rooter, and they refunded me $200. The technician (plumber) did an outstanding job and now I would gladly recommend this company for any plumbing needs.

Dispatchers call we’re kind of conflicting with the time of the plumber would arrive, in the end he showed up at the time originally scheduled by the person who took the initial call.Besides that, Victor was very professional and efficient, he did a great job.

Repair technicians were timely with the actual repair and water mitigation. Their knowledge and professionalism have been exceptional. This is my third time needing their service. I will always choose them.

I've replaced a main water shutoff valve on Saturday by Eugene. The work was done neatly, clean and professional by him. The reason I gave 4 stars b/c it was quite costly for a labor rate by hour, and the markup from the material. I still like to call roto rooter for services b/c their technicians often come on time or sooner than expected, and very friendly and polite. Plus they also have coupons and so it turned out just a little more from the local plumbing. This is a great services from them. I would highly recommend.

I should have known better than to call this company. The guy who came was very nice but the price to run a snake was outrageously overpriced! I told him no thanks. Had another company come who charged a third of price. I’ll never call Roto Rooter again!

Damon was terrific and totally knew what he was doing trying to figure out the rather complex drainage system off my downspouts that were installed under patio and concrete. Diagnosed it and made sure he had everything cleaned and repaired. These things are never inexpensive but for all he did, I felt it was reasonably priced and he did a job we would never have figured out. It required a professional. Highly recommended.

While the guys doing the actual work were personable and worked hard, the response from main office was atrocious. They were eager to land the job, but when pressed to complete the job to our satisfaction, they delayed, didn't return calls, and avoided responsibilty. Thankfully, with the blessing of our insurance company, we have forever ended the relationship with Roto-Rooter.

Marco went above and beyond what was needed! He came out to initially assess the thermostat and ended up replacing a water heater! It was an urgent situation and he handled it professionally and efficiently.

Scheduled online and confirmed for today between 10 and 12 this morning, was called over 20 times throughout the day to ask me to be patient. 8:24 pm call comes in tech is available yes please send them.. literally before 8:25 another call saying tech was going to lunch.. then I called at 10 pm they advised that I was next but no tech was available now after having my husband wait for over 12 hours.. never again. I will be choosing small business owners going forward!!

$225 hourly rate is absurd. Technician was nice, but roto rooter exploits the situation. I needed a new part and had to pay for the time @225 per hour to drive down to Raleigh and get the part, then come back and install. $225 an hour. I don’t even think surgeons make that kind of money per hour!

William, the technician, was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and efficient. He was able to clear my drain of the clog and get my kitchen sink back in operation. I was forced to call Rotorooter because my clog happened the day before a holiday and my week-long vacation so I had to have someone today and everyone else was booked. The service William provided was excellent. However, over $400 to snake a drain seems excessive. Due to the cost, I'll probably look elsewhere unless it's an emergency.

I have used Roto-Rooter Plumbing in Raleigh several times and always have experienced excellent service. Recently, I contacted the company for service at 7:30 in the morning. The receptionist immediately retrieved all my information automatically and dispatched a technician wiithin the hour. Service was professional, courteous and comprehensive. I received an estimate before service was completed. The technician left a gallon of complimentary drain cleaner with instructions of how to prevent clog-ups in the future. There is no doubt that Roto-Rooter provides the best plumbing service in Raleigh.

They will not show up. After confirming my appointment twice by phone I waited from 8am until noon and Roto-Rooter of Raleigh never showed up. There are plenty of hard working plumbers who want your business. Don’t waste your day waiting for Roto-Rooter.

Our Roto-Rooter tech, Philip, was absolutely fantastic. He worked long and hard to clear the pipes of our 60-year old kitchen and was a great sport about all of the nastiness hiding in there. We recently bought the house and apparently they haven't been cleaned in a long time, if ever. Philip was professional, gracious, and answered all of my questions. Given how much work was behind a simple clearing out the sink clog, I think we got a great deal and will keep Roto-Rooter on speed dial for future needs.

I believe I was way over charged for work that was not done namely my septic leak was not fixed and puddling is much worse. I had a real septic tank company out today. He said the two way valve was not needed. If more exploring would have been done the plugged oipe would have been cleared out.I was told by RR that I had two tanks but I only have one tank. Now I have to pay the real guy near to what I paid RR, 2600, and I don't believe that is fair. A sizable refund should begiven to me. The Workman was friendly so one star.Update.I had a rapid response to my complaint. Two guys came out, one with a camera, sorry I don’t your name, and the other, Devin Seals. Devin worked two days and found the problem. So far everything looks good. The earlier visit was made by Kanji who was another professional friendly workman.I appreciate John Evans for sticking with me and Devin and seems to have solve the problem over the phone. Updating this review to 5 stars. I was a bit upset at first as I had waited long past the original window for them to show up and fix my broken pipe. However, when they came they were super helpful, and have been very helpful since with the repair, drying out everything that needed to be dried and the hundreds of questions I had along the way.

We had 2 different companies come to find and fix the source of a main line backup. When this happened just 3 months after the last one, we called roto rooter and they came within the hour. They not only found the problem but cleared it, ran the camera, and gave us suggestion on how to fix it for good. Thank you so much!

Eugene was very friendly and professional, he cleared an external drain pipe that's part of our hardscaping in our yard. Our driveway had flooded the night before due to heavy rain he explained the situation and what he suspected was the problem. The drain was cleared and was able to drain properly and he gave us some recommendations on how to prevent the problem in the future by updating our landscaping. He displayed the issue and explained what was happening so that we understood exactly what we needed to relay to a landscaper. Great service!

Like many folks who call a 24-hour plumbing service, we had a really urgent, gross situation on our hands. And on a weekend, of course. A Sunday morning at that.Calling Roto-Rooter of Raleigh was such a great decision. They had a plumber at our house in 40 mins - wow, right?! David (didn't get his last name, unfortunatley) was friendly, calm, and knowledgable.Our house is 60+ years old so, what may've been a simple problem for a newer home, was a BIG issue at ours. Even still, David handled several hours of work with utmost dignity and grace. And it did NOT cost us an arm-and-a-leg as I would've guessed. The service was way more expensive than I was expecting, and at first the initial clog was only temporarily fixed in one toilet. However, when we called back about the issue, they sent the plumber back to fix the issue totally. He was a new guy to the company too, thanks for fixing our issue before the holiday!

We are having a nightmarish experience with Roto-Rooter. We had used the company a month and a half ago, having two drains snaked and were told there was a 6-month guarantee on the work. The same problem re-occurred well within the warranty period so we placed a service call this week. First appointment, the technical came out and said he didn't have the right equipment. Scheduled a second appointment, second technician said his machine was broken. Third appointment scheduled and technical doesn't have a hose long enough. At this point, if you're not going to guarantee the work and continue to give us the run around, please refund our original $580.

The scheduling dispatch was very polite and went smoothly. The plumber arrived when they said he would. He was very courteous and completed the work very fast. I’m really impressed by this experience. Definitely made a usually scary experience (plumbing problems) not so bad.

I was giving a time frame between the hours of 8 - 10a. My plumber did not arrive to almost 11:00. Once he arrived he gave us an estimate and what we should do. He then said he would dig up the septic tank for us that way the septic company would not have to and then charged us $110. He never said anything about charging us until after it was done. His excuse was the company would question him about the time that he had spent at our residence. Luckily, he was speaking to my husband after I went in the house to make a call because he would have never been paid and I would have called the company to tell them how he was handling business.

Water heater stopped heating; couldn't re-start pilot. 1st guy who came out said he didn't feel safe in our attic. We were upset at first, but he redeemed himself by finding another guy to come out, just 2 hours later, and he was able to solve the problem, thankfully

Wayne N (tech # 3112) helped us here at my office today. Our toilets flooded, and he came in and spent a very long time finding the clog and then put protective stuff in the drains. He was really friendly and extremely helpful! I think if we have another issue, I may have to request him!

I woke up on a Sunday to find water streaming from the ceiling in our family room. Justin came out to our house within an hour to diagnose and fix the problem. He also helped coordinate work with their remediation company to make sure our house was going to be fine once this is all done. I highly recommend.

tech showed up and was informed of the work needed to be done. initial estimate was fine. the end work ended up being $225 MORE than the estimate!!! No explanation during the work that it will be this much more especially the parts costing $175!!! I would have told them to NOT proceed with the work. Had to wait for another tech to bring parts and help the original tech do the work. By the time it was finished, it took 5 hours to complete the work. Will not use them again.UPDATE:received call from GM of the location and will refund the difference so pushing to 3 stars. Still should not have to deal with this so not going any higher. Hopefully there will be some tech training as well going forward.UPDATE AGAIN:No refund ever received. Email not being answered.....

Roto Rooter was the only plumber (out of 7 I called) that came out to look at my leaking water heater on a Saturday afternoon. Although the problem couldn't be repaired until Tuesday, I found their estimate was in line with others I had received over the phone. I decided to go with them because they actually came to look at the problem and felt that they were not going to surprise me with a lot of 'extras' once work started. Was very pleased with the work they did and the company's customer service.

My service technician was Victor Safarian. He arrived on Christmas Day and was extremely professional, courteous, and excellent in the repairs he made. He was knowledgeable and explained everything clearly prior to starting and throughout the process. I was amazed to be able to have someone come out on Christmas but was really astounded that it would be someone who seemed to genuinely want to help and to do excellent work! I am so grateful and will use Roto Rooter, specifically Victor, for all of my future plumbing needs. I will definitely refer Roto Rooter and Victor to anyone who asks.

They over charge and don't diagnose well. I would NEVER recommend them. I called about a problem with a backup in my kitchen sink that I thought might've been caused by a problem with a toilet and/or shower. The guy came and looked at the toilet and suggested he clean the sewer line outside. Did that, claimed it was fixed, charged me nearly $500 and left. Not 20 min later I called and said there was still a problem. He said it would cost another couple hundred. Also, idk if he caused a leak or just missed itbut that was also a problem after he left. Terrible service.

Needed a new shut-off valve for gray water at the street (reclaimed water used for lawns, etc.). The repair tech was friendly and helpful and very efficient. The cost was very high for a repair that I had intended to make myself until I ran into a glitch ($600 labor for 1.5 hours). I guess I'll try to make back the cost by using the gray water to do some powerwashing that might otherwise have cost me $200-300.

Very much appreciated the same day service. The work didn't take as long as the range the technician told me, so it was good not to be surprised by the final cost. Technician was nice - whole process went as smoothly as could have hoped. Thanks!

We developed an underground water supply line leak in our front yard. John Breder was out and within a few hours was able to locate the leak and repair it. We were very impressed with John, not only his work, but friendly personality as well and because of him, would recommend RR for this type of repair.

Wayne 3112 Mr. Wayne service was excellent. He tried to unstop my sewer using different techniques and let us know that a tree root was in our pipeline. His machine was not able to cut through. He let us know what the problem was. I was not charged for the hours worked. Very knowledgeable, very polite. And explained everything to me. ( me being a woman ). He was not pushy in any. Looking into getting pipe replaced as roto rooter does as well. Used them before and will use them again. Trust them completely.

Plumber arrived on time and was professional. Issue was a slow second floor bathtub drain. Price quoted $368 plus tax. Probably took 20 min total. While he solved the problem, the price was ridiculous. Because of that I won't be using them again.

Had an emergency at our townhome in Raleigh. I called the office and they advised that they would have a tech out ASAP. The tech showed up and identified the problem immediately. The main line from the house to the street was completely blocked by tree roots. He fixed the issue to our satisfaction. The tech was very professional and knowledgeable. His name was Gary W.

Our toilet was clogged and we had a different company come over a month before Roto Rooter. I explained what the last company did and that it didn’t seem to fix the problem. The technician did the same thing as the other company and unclogged the toilet but didn’t explain anything as to if it would be fixed long term now or what the issue was to begin with. They were here for no more than 20 minutes, and then charged us almost $300. The toilet is fixed, but am I going to be paying $300 next month too? Honestly a rip off in my opinion.

I had a water leak on my main line and their estimate was wildly out of line with other estimates I received, almost 2x. They were nice on the phone and responded quickly, but they were also a bit pushy to start work as soon as possible. I don't know the quality of their work, but be cautious of their pricing.

This service was very helpful to me in fixing my clogged kitchen drain; I tried everything I could think of but could not fix it myself. I also tried several other plumbers in Raleigh, and Roto Rooter was the only one that got back to me and offered a free in-home estimate. The plumber Steve was fast, helpful, informative, and gave me a break on the price since it was a quick fix for him. My only complaint was that my initial same-day appointment got pushed back so late that I had to reschedule for the next day. This was not a huge issue for me because all I had was a clogged drain.

The technician took more than 2 hrs to get the parts and never informed me about the long wait (I was waiting for the water, because he shut the water off), and while he put the valve in, not fully tighten, there was a lots of water leaked (went inside the trim). And also he asked me to pay the extra 2 hrs (waiting charge) he took it. I said I can't pay the waiting charge and I totally disappointed with his service.

We had a pretty inconvenient water issue happen late on Saturday. Roto Rooter was one of the few companies to answer on a weekend, and the ONLY one to not charge us some crazy weekend fee. (One company quoted $200 just to drive out). After a reasonable fee and about an hour or so of work, we were back in business. I normally avoid 'chain' businesses but these guys were great.

Leak under the sink. Replaced Faucet system which was badly scratched. They returned to repair and replace and did an excellent job providing service and quality.

We were in need of an over haul on one of our toilets. A bolt was on the floor in a puddle of water. A technician (John #1988) was sent right out and was excellent. The pricing was fair and the work was completed in a timely fashion. He even went out of his way to help us with a faulty toddler toilet seat!! I would highly recommend as well as use them again!

Adam arrived more than two hours earlier than promised. Our toilet would not stop running so the sooner we stopped flushing money down the toilet the better. Appreciated that, but was a little stunned by the quote of $600 labor for work that was completed in under 30 minutes. I was immediately given a 50% “discount” which was designed, I’m sure, to make the $300 dollar charge seem low. Still, I was thankful that they were available on a Saturday only hours after I called and Adam cheerfully delivered exactly what we needed.

Wayne 3112 arrived at the time he had said to me on the phone . Before he began working, he explained to me the different options I had to try to correct the problem. He also gave me the cost of what each procedure would cost.Before Wayne began working on the drains in the kitchen he checked the pipes under the house to get a better understanding of the plumbing outlay of my house. He did not rush through any part of the job he had to do to unclog the drain. Once they were open, he stayed while a complete cycle of the dishwasher ran. Well, they got the job done, but now I feel like a chump for not having gotten competitive quotations. I think the base price was twice what it should have been, and I figure there was easily 400% markup on parts. As a result, because of the outlandish price I cannot recommend.

Your costs for replacement of a standard garbage disposal is exorbitant. I hardly expected a total due of $731.30 for a task that took less than 2 hours with no complications. Material costs are less controllable, but labor at $375 stretches credibility. Although the installation was/is satisfactory, needless to say I will not again request your services nor recommend it to others.

The dispatcher gave me a very accurate assessment of when a plumber would be available (late evening), gave me progressive reports as evening went on and finally another call when he was enroute. Similarly the plumber (Justin) texted when he was on the way and arrived at the prescribed time. He was quick and courteous making his assessment and cost estimate. I love Roto Rooter but this was a very bad experience. Technician arrived 45 minutes later than I was told to expect and then didn't start working for at least another 45 minutes. He spent a lot of time on personal phone calls and chatting with me about unrelated topics instead of focusing on the job. I prompted him several times to get to the task. City staff had to be called to help diagnose the problem and when the issue was diagnosed and resolved they and I had to tell him several times to stop snaking and clear up his tools, the job was done.He used inappropriate language in conversation with me multiple times and kept calling me sugar.. I wouldn't hesitate to call Roto Rooter again as long as this gentleman is not the assigned technician.

Ryan Disorbo came out to my house quickly in the middle of the night and managed to unclog my mainline and stuck around to make sure it was fully unclogged afterwards and helped with locating an extra clean out in the yard. Would definitely call again. Great service!

Came on time and made the repair quickly. Pricey compared to previous quote by about $400 but couldn't get the work done from the previous company until next week so really had no choice as we had already been without the use of the 2nd shower for a week.Job well done though and tech was very friendly and knowledgeable and took his time explaining what was needed and that it would take a while (3-4 hours) hence the high cost for labor.Bottom line, it was done quickly and properly so can't complain too much about that. Plus Roto Rooter is well established and has a good reputation.

Very unpleasant experience. First they gave me the wrong bill (ridiculous tax rate of 20%). I was told to call the manager to fix the bill. The manager promised to call me back the next business day. No call at all. Five days later, the bill department tweaked the bill so the total amount is the same yet with the lower tax rate. Once they sent me the modified bill, they threated me to pay the bill within 15 minutes, otherwise they would send it to to collections with a lien. This is how the company treated a customer even though it was their mistake on the bill. By the way, the repair service was very expensive.

Explained to him that I had a cut off valve that would not stop dripping water out the water line behind my fridge. Well, I also had a fridge leak, Knew that. He checked to see if he had the right size line on the truck. Of course not, He's not a fridge guy. BTW. He then decided nothing was really wrong with the cut off valve I asked the cost of the house call. He told me $95. I mentioned the $40 coupon. He then told me the REAL price was $165 and he was giving me a $70 discount. (I felt me baited and switched). He got his check. I have the invoice. I signed it as I felt it was far too expensive to keep him in my home.Now, the dripping leak still gets worse when I cut the water back on for the house itself (At the rate of almost a gallon an hour. As he did nothing to fix it. I dread to have seen a bill had he fixed it.Now, I still need to call another plumber to fix (replace) the cutoff valve.My understanding from the office was that I would have a quote for work before work was done and I was being polite to ask the cost of the house call as nothing was fixed in his 15 minutes of work. I would have expected $40 to $50 and would not have quibbled a reasonable trip charge. But this rate of $165 list was not reasonable. I will not call this business again.

Called these guys for emergency service of a water leak reported by my utility provider. Initial response was okay although the rep showed up unannounced. He called his dispatch service because he needed and different person to come out to my house. He wasn't a plumber. Dispatch never called me back or provided any updates and a plumber never showed up to my house. Would not recommend for emergency services.

Our plumber was confident, professional, polite, hard working. The job was difficult and he fixed it with a lot of determination and hard work.

Technician came within two hour window scheduled but did not give 30 minute advance call before arrival. Technician was very courteous and professional. Took less than 10 minutes for him to be shown two bathrooms that had clogged rain and one leaking toilet. Quoted $675 to do work. When told that was too much, offered to cut fee $200. I declined. then offered to sell us a $71/gal drain cleaner. Declined. Paid a $116 service fee and he left. Glad our situation was not an emergency. Overpriced IMO. Can't give a zero. So, they get a 1 because technician was courteous.

Steve Balogac, #1116 responded on a Sunday morning to a stopped up drain. He was there in less than an hour and had the problem solved within an hour. He was very knowledgeable and skilled. He arrived with all the right tools for the job. Price was very fair for a Sunday morning callup. Would highly recommend Roto Rooter and their plumber, Steve.

When I called, my main line sewer was plugged up. I had rented a 100 foot drain snake for $85.00 for the day and was hoping to pay Roto-Rooter their expensive rate. Alas, I did not have enough of a snake to finish the job, they had to use their 150 foot snake and cleared my drain. I found the price to be very expensive at $540 with a coupon. Tung explained that this was for removing my toilet, which I understand is a pain. I am not sure why it is still so expensive. He found one tiny 3 inch root and said because of this one tiny root, he could not guarantee my line, which I thought was insane.He offered to have their main line crew come out to use a camera and check our sewer line, I told him I would think about it. On Monday, while I was at work, they called me four times, I could not pick up because I am at work. I finally had a lunch break and they called me again (the 4th time), I informed them that I have their number and to quit bugging me. I will never use Roto Rooter again, unless I have an emergency. They are too expensive and only stay in business because people are in a bind.

I had thecommode from He]] which refused to quit leaking from a a pressure issue with the internal flapper. Being seriously 'Plumbing-challenged' I called Roto-Rooter who dispatched John, a jovial and totally professional plumber. He replaced the commode interior TWICE without losing his good humor and attitude. He was prepared to literally unseat the entire commode & replace the guts for a third time when I suggest we let his last repair settle for the weekend to insure he was not perorming this arduous task in vain. Sure enougn, no gurgling or half flushing occured. He came for the 4rth time to replace an expensive DELTA kitchen faucet and did so in less than 30 minutes. He handled ordering the DELTA replacement kit which he had delivered directly to my house.. All said- I could not be more pleased with the service, results and the no-cost repeat repairs on a truly dog problem. As a retired telecom engineer- I can say with confidence- if you call Roto-Rooter- they will go the extra mile and then some! GREAT JOB... call them and you WILL NOT be disappointed!

This company is a joke. They scammed my old folks out of 500$. If it wasn't for me looking into the problem on my own Roto Rooter would have scammed them out of even more money to come out an actually fix the real problem. Do your research and make sure you look at the problem yourself. Overpriced and Overrated.

Were prompt and available on short notice but expensive ($650 toilet removal main line clearing). That said as we needed service right away due to line blockage we went ahead. 2 issues:1) Tech cleaned up loose debris but did not put a drop cloth down for toilet removal. As a result he got wax/dirt from auger machine all in grout around toilet. Had to scrub with brush and bleach to get out.2) Did not seal toilet down to tile- When I asked he said he ran out of silicone (really should be grouted down to tile not siliconed). Said he would come back to do next day - who wants to wait around another day? not to mention is really not the right thing to do- should carry instant grout with them.

We needed help on a Saturday night and Victor came through for us! We had a more complicated problem than we initially thought, and he took the time to figure it out. Would highly recommend.

I was charged $400 to pull out a piece of toilet paper from the top of the clean out pipe in the yard. Something that could have been done by hand. $400 not to fix my problem. Then told it would be over $5,000 to fix it. I do not feel there was any honesty with the work that was done. I was charged before they explained the issue and what he even did.Update: I was contacted by the company and was politely talked with about options for fixing my problem. He offered to send someone to look into other solutions. I truly appreciate the call and them trying to week with me.Second update: I am still waiting for someone to come by and look for other solutions. It has been a week. My ratings will stay at one star until I can see an attempt to find a cheaper solution to my problem.

Great service very responsive. Water line to the house broke. 1st plumber wanted to replace whole line that had just been replaced 10 years ago. Cody came out told me about a service that could find the leak. Used them they found it and Roto-Rooter was out next day to do repair. Might have been able to shop around and find better price but could not have gotten better service.

Our technician was Scott #2062,and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. They showed up in an emergency and got the situation under control and fixed for us within a few hours. One of the parts came loose by the next day but they came out within the hour when I called and had it repaired. The price per hour seemed a little high but considering we were in an emergency and didn't have time to look around I can't say for sure. I would still use them again due to their excellent customer service and good work.

I needed my outdoor gutter system cleaned out. He used water pressure to not damage the corrugated lines and easily found the exit point and flagged it for me. He even dug up the exit so I can see it is flowing. He also recommended what to do at the exit and how he removed moles from his yard, which I have thriving. Very nice and knowledgeable.

Within an hour, I was notified that someone would come evaluate the problem. My service person was David Guin - he was helpful, pleasant and provided immediate resolution to my problem. Great experience. David was very knowledgeable and determined quickly the problem and the solution. Great Job David Guin -- Great Job Roto Rooter : I will use them again if needed.

Wayne, Tech# 3112, came today to clear the drains at my house that were backing up when I used my washing machine. Wayne was professional and courteous and completed the job to my satisfaction. He treated all my drains with Pipe Shield as a preventive maintenance treatment as well. I would recommend Roto-Rooter.

I had previously given this business a great review which is why I called them again, but I had to edit as I saw no other way to give a second review. I waited half of one day (missed their call but called back and they’d already went elsewhere) and then most of the next day (2-6) last week, only to have them tell me they couldn’t come then either and I’d have to wait until the next day. The guy came the next day and I told him the garbage disposal was leaking AND didn’t work at all, but I’d purchased a new one in case it couldn’t be repaired as it was only a couple years old. He pulled a few tiny items out of it and got it to make noises, but it still leaked when he left and he knew that. After all of that, he told me he could only stop the leak by replacing the unit. Well. I’d told him that I had already bought one and had it before he’d done anything! So he proceeded to give me a RIDICULOUS amount to put my new one in (which others have quoted at less than half) and charged $125 for what he did do which was NOTHING since that entire sink is not usable at all with a leak in the disposal. I shouldn’t have paid as he did not give that estimate before doing anything as advertised. When I asked what the charge would be, he waved his hand and said, “It won’t be very much. Don’t worry”. Then took off to his truck to get something. He then asked me to sign off on doing the work AT THE END when I was paying. He said it should have been done at the beginning. As a female alone, I didn’t feel comfortable with not paying him either. Do yourself a favor. Call someone that cares to do the work right. Now I have to find even more time to take off to get this unit installed.

We had our water lines backup due to a blockage and Roto Rooter came out and cleared the problem for us. This was no ordinary blockage- it's a commercial building with a backflow drain over 200 feet long. Tim did a great job diagnosing and handling the issue and was a pleasure to work with. I would definitely use Roto Rooter again.

This would be a five star but the cost was crazy expensive, $265 plus parts and taxes to replace a couple of connectors. Even with the $40 we discount my total was $250.The real 5 star goes to the plumber that came with in the window. He offered a ton of knowledge and was willing to suggest a few things to look into down the road since our house is getting a little older.For a team that is nice and able to get to your house quick they are your team.If you are looking for something to fit in a smaller budget then expect a wait and try looking else where.

My experience with Roto-Rooter was great if you can find something good out of having a stopped up drain. I called for service on a Sunday afternoon after trying unsuccessfully for four hours to fix it myself. I was told that a technician could between four and six o'clock that afternoon which was great. Due to unexpected problems on other jobs, my technician could not come until the next morning. My first compliment goes to the dispatchers who called me routinely to update me on what was going on with their people. They called me several times (up until 10:00 pm Sunday night) to let me know I had not been forgotten. I was very impressed that they kept me informed. My next compliment goes to John, my technician. I call him my technician because if I ever need someone again, I want them to send me John. John came when expected and was very knowledgeable about what could be causing my problem. John diagnosed the cause of my problem (wipes clogged up in my drain) and corrected it. When I thought he was about through cleaning my drain out, he was not satisfied, he wanted to make sure he had gotten all the gunk out. He ran a camera down my drain to see if he could find anything else that might cause problems. In doing so, he actually cleaned out more debris which would have eventually caused me problems. Needless to say, I was very happy that John had come to help me out. Thanks Roto-Rooter for a job well done.

We were taking cold showers because our water heater was dying and I was worried we'd have to wait a long time to get it replaced. But Roto-Rooter was great! Mr. Fletcher came out and gave us an estimate, and we were able to schedule the install very quickly! He did all the work himself in a few hours, and by the end of the day we had hot water. The price was reasonable considering they had to redo some pipes and put in a different size heater. The work was professional and we are very happy with our new water heater. We will definitely call Roto-Rooter again when we have plumbing needs in the future.

We had an office building with 50+ people and a clogged sewer drain. Sewage was backing up into the building. Roto-Rooter was the only plumbing company that promised to make it to our location the same day. Our Service Technician, Christopher, was very professional and got the job done in about 2 hours. We were very pleased with the service overall and would definitely use them again.

Justin and Juan were so helpful and knowledgeable! They arrived quickly, troubleshooted the issue and then repaired it all in one day. They gave great advice and I appreciate their hard work. I would definitely recommend them.

I called Roto-Rooter to fix a jam in the erator at the kitchen sink. The technician seemed knowledgeable and knew where the problem was.. However, I was surprised by his estimate. It was $340 to fix the jam which took just around 15mins. Luckily I had a coupon worth of $70 that brought the cost down. Still it seemed expensive. Besides that, I like the fact that they work 24*7. I scheduled my service on a saturday and was happy that it didn't interfere with work.

These people are a complete and utter rip-off. They refuse to give me a price quote when I schedule an appointment. They fail to show up to the appointment despite having a 4-Hour window. When they finally show up the next day after my calling to remind them three more times, they look at the drain for 30 seconds and then jump straight to charging me $450 for running all their deluxe gear from their truck to my kitchen, to unstop a clog that can't be more than a couple of feet from the base pipe. For that money I'll buy the freaking equipment and do the work myself.

Call center was very communicative. They provided timely updates and made the service available on my schedule. Technician wasn't prepared to complete my job at the time of service.

While the plumber was great and very helpful and knowledgeable the bill was outrageous. We were billed $970 for faucet install, existing disposal hookup and reconnect of gas line for stove. That is highway robbery and we won’t be using roto rooter again.

My old hot water heater leaked and flooded the basement. They came out on a Sunday - installed a new hot water heater and started water damage cleanup. Had some issues with the hot water heater but they finally resolved them. They do aa great job with the water damage. They contacted the insurance company and handled everything.

Great services from Mark and Roto-Rooter. Came out the same day on a Saturday and my problem was fixed in 15 minutes flat - every other place I called said I'd have to wait at least 3 days for service. He took the time to clean up everything after the job was done and even put all of the cleaning supplies back under the sink before he left. If I ever need plumbing service in the future, Mark and Roto-Rooter will be the first people I call.

I called them at 10:30 am and they came to fix the two drains and left my house by 11:30am same day. If that isn't service I don't know what is. The Technician Scott (2062) was great and very personable. Would definitely recommend !

I needed my garbage disposal replaced and was very pleased with how quickly they sent someone out and how nice the technician was. My only hesitation was the price of the disposal was much cheaper at Home Depot or Lowes than the price they offered. Other than that I was quite happy.

Service was a great disappointment. Team member who came to clear sewer line, quickly discovered broken pipe from house to street. Called in two other team members to assess location with camera. Informed us that they would consult with others to propose a plan to us; collected $450 fee for cleaning pipe--which of course could not be done with assessment-and promptly left after being paid. No plan, no reschedule, just left. Would never call this company again. Would give no stars except I had to give one in order to submit.

Very responsive 24/7 team of plumbers. We had sewage backup due to tree roots in the pipes and the issue occurred on Sunday. New house, construction left PVC pipe fragments in sewage line causing our discharge to back up into bathtub. Panicked we called Roto-Rooter and Travis responded within the hour on a Sunday and worked diligently until obstruction was shattered and cleared. Big relief on our part and Travis could not be more friendly and hardworking, definitely glad I called them, and make sure to ask for Travis C.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup has a group of top-notch folks working for them. Doc, Sam, Henry, Jason, Junior, and Herbert and the dispatchers - can't say enough about their professionalism, skills, and problem-solving skills, and they are really nice people. They take their job seriously and I felt they really cared about my situation and were thoughtful on thinking through difficult access to my leaking lines without causing more damage than necessary to stop it. Even getting slammed with hurricane Florence preparations. You got issues - call them.

Outrageous hourly fees. Could not clean out my drainage pipe due to roots. Gave me a discount but I still paid close to $500.00 and for what? The technician was there only for an hour and in a hurry. On to the next job for another squeeze!

Today Roto-Rooter Scott (2062) made a service call to my home to repair a leaking water line.Scott arrived on time and was very professional and polite. We discussed the problem I was having and Scott went quickly went to work. In no time at all he had repaired the leak and showed me the line causing the problem and gave me some very good advice.I would recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone having plumbing issues.

Quick to show up, really nice guys, very professional. They found (and fixed) the issue rather quickly and explained what was going on. I think my only issue (and granted I did call on a weekend) was the cost. $240 for about 15-20min of work when it turned out to be an improperly installed stopper. I would recommend and probably call them again should something else arise.

Noticed a wet spot in the front yard and thought might be a water leak. Called Roto Rooter who typically does all my plumbing work. Plumber came out, determined that the main water line was leaking and tried to determine exactly where. After several hours, couldn't find exact spot and recommended installing a new line (old line was 35+ years old). Without charging for initial determination, obtained city permits and came back the next work day, dug trench and installed new line, and after city inspection, refilled trench and put yard back in order. Roto Rooter did an excellent job, stayed on schedule and final cost was exactly as estimated. Would recommend highly.

I have need their services three times in the past week for three different services. They have responded to me promptly, even when I called at 3 am with a burst hot water heater. They have been extremely competent and efficient, making sure everything was done to my satisfaction. Even their office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I am someone who hates to call someone to get help and they have completely taken that away. This is the first review I have done on line, their service warrants it.

I had a water leak under my house from a pipe that had wear and tear from over the years. There were over 8 inches of water in my crawlspace. Although it was hot and miserable on Sunday June 16, 2019, Eugene Hodge was very professional and did not complain at all. It took quite a while to get the water out, he was a professional and caring about the whole situation. The Water Mitigation Team-Doc-Okalfor and Tyrek came out on Monday and took care of everything. If I ever had a situation again, I would personally request that these Men com and assist us.

Jean did an awesome job of pinpointing a leak in a pipe, inside of the wall, behind my hot water heater. He did not give up, in finding the leak. He quickly repaired it and also fixed a couple other plumbing issues. He was very kind and pleasant. I am keeping him in my directory for in the near future fixes. I'm going to have to replace the kitchen flooring, but with his finding that hard to find leak, he may have saved the the sub-flooring underneath. Thankyou so much for your dedication and hard work!

Very responsive and quick, however, wish I had gotten a few quotes as this was more expensive than anticipated. The contractor charged me for the hour he left to go get supplies as well as the supplies so it ended up being a 3 hour job instead of the 1.5-2 hours max it took to complete the job.

Ryan Disorbo showed up exactly at the time I was provided with and he immediately addressed my clogged shower drain. Within 30 minutes the issue had been resolved. Ryan did a great job.

Had a clogged drain line with the unfortunate timing of being the week of Thanksgiving. The technician was nice and professional, but quoted and charged $568 dollars to unclog the line. It took less than an hour to complete the work. The pricing is outrageous and I never would have considered it if not for the timing with Thanksgiving and family coming into town. $568 for an hours time and a very simple fix. You can rent the same snake auger for $55 and have it done in the same amount of time. I will never call them again and would never consider recommending them for anyone else, will only warn of their outrageous pricing.Edit:I sent email as instructed in their reply. Received thisWill,I have submitted a formal complaint to the General Manager in Raleigh, Adam Davis.  You can expect to hear from a member of his management staff shortly.This was three weeks ago. Never heard anything else.

The tech came by to fix my leaking hose spiget outside. He was very professional and explained everything thoroughly, so I never felt like I was being fed BS stories like other companies can and have done. Work was done well, and it was a fair price.

This company was a great experience. Erik was very knowledgeable of the water leak we had and thanks to him we were left with minimal water damage. Can’t thank him enough for being prompt and available for same day service and being very thorough explaining every step.

Justin was professional, worked in a loud environment where flooring work was also going on, fixed the problem in a couple of hours, which included a trip to the store for pipes, and explained everything and showed me the problem was fixed at the end of the visit. Dispatch had the timing off a bit, but overall the company fixed the problem I noticed while preparing for the floor work before the flooring crew was ready to stain the floor, which was ideal.

The outdoor spigot had been leaking causing some mold to grow on that side of the house. Erik came by the next day and was able to replaced it. He had to cut a hole in the wall to access the pipe, but cleaned up the area up before he left.

Plumber came an hour late without an explanation or apology. I was also over charged for labor costs. After several telephone calls I was refunded the over charge. I can not recommend.

I called Roto-Rooter with a clogged toilet and they came out within 24hrs. Our clogged toilet turned into a nightmare because our main line by the street in front of our house was clogged due to our kids throwing rocks down the pipe. Gotta love your kids!!! Our technician, John was so helpful. We almost had to excavate the front yard to dig out the pipe. But, John worked with us to try EVERYTHING possible to avoid this costly repair and HE DID IT! He thought outside of the box and worked with my husband to use a special claw to pull each rock and brick out so they could finally blow the rest of the blockage out of our pipe and into the main sewer. So our repair costs were significantly lower!!! John is the best! We enjoyed his care and willingness to problem solve with my husband and fix this problem the most economically way possible. Thank you, John and thank you Roto-Rooter!

Zero stars if possible. I am convinced water never seems to have a problem until it is after hours. I called around 8pm and they sent somebody very quickly. The guy that showed up said he had no idea how well water worked (he also had no flashlight which made no sense considering it is pitch black outside). WHY WOULD YOU SEND HIM TO MY HOUSE WHEN YOU CLEARLY WERE TOLD I WAS ON WELL WATER????? He literally said I have to charge you for something because I can't drive an hour out here on commission and not get paid. He then sold me this glorified drano for $72. I COULD GET THAT AT TARGET FOR LESS THAN FIVE DOLLARS!!! Save yourself a headache and go anywhere else. It is 10pm and I still have no water. UGH!

The company answered right away when we had a issue with our sewer. The technician, Darius, was on my front door 2 hours after my first call. He was on point identifying the problem and solving it for us. We were very happy with the efficiency provided.

We had a job done one day, and the same day branch #052 rep Nikki not only wrote us a rude and nasty email, I was also threatened with going to collections, after our call dropped. I called to make the payment for the service we had done the same exact day the job was done. Why are we being treated as if we dont matter??? Ran into problems when having a new washing machine delivered and installed. Technician arrived within 30 minutes of the call. Explained everything, and was very kind. Cost was a bit steep, but overall a good experience!

I had a few plumbing jobs that needed to be done at my home. It was not an emergency. The plumber showed up quite quickly and was very helpful in providing all the necessary estimates. He also suggested ways to cut the costs down. Everything was done very professionally. He completed the work in about 5 hours.Since I am not very experienced with plumbing costs, I may have paid more than what I would have if I had shopped around. But I did not have the time to do more home work.In any case I am very satisfied with the service I got and I would recommend the company to others.

Our sewer line backed up and Roto Rooter was at our house late at night and into the morning taking care of the problem and the water cleanup. They were with us each step of the way, including repairing our sewer line which was under our driveway. The guys were all very professional and responsive. They made a very stressful situation into a positive experience.

This is absolutely worst company I have ever had to deal with. If you have any other option do not go with Roto-Rooter. We had a leak from our shower, it was a straight leak from the pipe that went down to the ceiling. It didn’t cause any damage to our flooring at all. They came in and repaired our leak, cut a hole in the ceiling downstairs to do so which is understandable and was needed. What was not needed was for them to rip up our flooring in our bathroom. There was no water damage to our flooring being that the leak went straight from the pipe below the shower through the ceiling, it was a controlled leak. But they went ahead without any proof of damage and ripped my flooring up anyways. This cost me $600 to repair. I reached out to them concerned about the price they were charging me because I didn’t want to pay the full amount being that i had to repair the floor due to their mistake. I spoke to a very unapologetic woman named jasmine that would not listen to me at all. She certainly did own up to the mistake that was made the first time we spoke because she gave me a $50 credit which is nothing on what we owe and nothing on what we paid to repair the floor they damaged. I am extremely disappointed in this company. I asked jasmine to credit out account for the money we spent replacing the flooring that they mistakenly ripped up and she told me no. I asked to speak with someone else and she told me I could not speak with anyone else. This is absolutely absurd and I can not believe such a large company would be so inconsiderate to their customers. I am so dissatisfied and disappointed in this company for how they have treated us. Now she’s saying she’s sending us to collections and putting a lien on my home because she is unwavering and will not help us. This is a cruel company. Do not work with them.

Our drain was stopped up and Justin came out and worked on the issue, then called in a drainage specialists, Erik, that not only cleaned out pipes for potential issues but identified a filter part that was actual issue and because others had tried and I already invested hours and dollars Erik did not charge me an additional service fee. My experience was awesome and they will be my first call for any issue going forward. They worked as a team, the dispatchers were on point with scheduling and my overall experience was great

I live in the Raleigh/Durham area and traditionally do not write reviews for services. However, Jean did such an outstanding job that a felt it was my duty to inform everyone of his knowledge of plumbing systems and the quality of his work. Jean diagnosed my problem immediately and explained in detail what was needed to correct the problem. He informed me how to keep my system running with yearly routine preventative maintenance. I felt comfortable with his maintenance that i showed him another project. The only reason i do not give Roto-Rooter five stars is the mark up on their products. I highly suggest you ask for Jean if you need maintenance in the Raleigh/Durham area. He is a Master Plumber with years of experience and treats the customer with care.

Today (1/10/20) Michael Paulino, Tech #3444 was the service technician that was sent to take care of my plumbing problems. Michael was very professional and courteous. Micheal was very knowledgeable of his work. He took care of everything I asked and I could not be more pleased with his work. I would strongly recommend Michael to everyone for a job very well done. I would definitely have Micheal return to fix any problems in the future.

My Grandparents had a clogged sink, Roto-Rooter of Raleigh sent a Plumber who was great, courteous, knowledgeable, and respectful. The sink was unclogged quickly and grandma was happy. What made the experience even better was discussing a plumbing problem I was trying to fix myself at my own house. David our plumber told me I was likely making my problem worse and said he was happy to follow me home to help me out. My problem turned out to be a serious main line backup and David saved the day!!!

This guy knew his stuff and was very courteous. He did a wonderful job and I was very pleased with the results. He also advised us what not to do to avoid my pipes getting clogged again. I asked him a few more questions and without hesitation was helpful in his answers. The price was a little steep but he gave us a discount which helped a lot. I'm glad he came out on weekends, otherwise we would have been out of luck.

I noticed a small water leak stain and looked up the top-rated places in the area. Roto-Rooter came up, so I called first thing this morning and they were out to my house in about an hour! Aaron took a look at the stain, looked at the master bathroom shower just above it, asked me how old the house was, and said he was 99% certain the problem was the putty seal in my shower drain disintegrating. Popped it open, had a look, and sure enough! He was right. He had me fixed up less than two hours after I called - now that's what I call fast, friendly, and efficient service! I couldn't be happier and if I have any more plumbing issues, I'll be calling Roto-Rooter :-)

Highly dissatisfied with Roto Rooter ... shower drain clog, the technician was here for 10 minutes and we were charged $400!! When we later called to complain about the extortionist pricing, the agent said we would soon be contacted by customer service ... no follow up call every came. And now 3 months later the same drain is clogged. Do NOT use this company!

Trey did a tremendous job. He was both friendly and professional. We live in an old house and the plumbing isn’t the easiest to figure out. He was persistent and got our drain unclogged. Also, he was very patient considering this was during the Superbowl. We will certainly call him should a plumbing issue come up again in the future.

As manager of a local Raleigh restaurant, I had no choice but to call Roto-Rooter when our drain lines would not drain. I was a little hesitant about calling a chain plumbing company, but left with no other choice. Our serviceman Wayne (tech # 3112), went above and beyond to repair the issue. Not only was he professional, he was courteous, and respectful. He never once made us feel like we were being rushed and took his time to diagnose and solve the problem correctly. It is because of the service we received today that we will continue to call Roto Rooter for any future plumbing problems.

Super service from Jack!He arrived at the requested time and completed 2 jobs for me. He replaced a water line for a new refrigerator that was old and out of code and also rebuilt the workings of one of the toilets in the house. The waterline was located in a tough spot to get to but Jack was very pleasant through the whole process.I will definitely call Roto-Rooter the next time I need help with plumbing!

Discovered a small pipe leak in the crawl space in the early morning. Scheduled an appointment, entirely online, for that day (Sunday). The technician (Robert) was informative and honest. He took care of the job, explained to me during the process so I understood the problem and solution, and had excellent people skills. He also took a moment to peek at the surrounding pipes and provided repair guidance and what other potential problems to anticipate.I was really pleased to find a company that could do work on Sunday. I looked at several local companies (Cary, NC), and saw pretty much everyone of them was closed on Sunday (according the the internet), and or unable to take an appointment request at the time (before 8am) I noticed the leak. Discovering a leak is stressful, I was relieved to make an appointment online before normal business hours, for repair that day, and have the job taken care of within the window of time I was originally provided.

Booked an appointment for estimate on a hot water heater several days in advance. Was given a date and time from from 4:00 to 6:00. A text had been sent several days to confirm appointment so I was expecting service and drove back home from another state to meet that deadline. At 6:00 I called and dispatch replied they were delayed...by 7:15 till no call or update to situation. When calling back they asked if I wanted to reschedule. No Thank you. Poor service

Please do not use this Co. Roto Rooter Plumber came by my home to check water drain in basement. my house is about 15 years old and basement water is not draining after using bathroom. I assumed it is time to replace sump pump.when plumber came, I asked him ball park estimate before he started work, he said it will be a little more than $400 to repair it. if he replace motor, it will be $400 plus price of motor.He opened cover and he said he needs to replace pump and it cost $1,876. Pump is $1,000 and his labor is $800 for 2 hour work. I couldn't afford it, I told him I will fix it later, just cover it back and I will pay his work, He said, if he cover it back as it was, I will be $400. I was so mad, I told him just leave even cover is open, then he charged me one hour labor $267 and left.Later I searched and found same sump motor online, price of brand new same motor is $400.please to not use this co. this is my horrible experience with this co. I can't even give him a star.

I just had Robert from Roto-Rooter service my house in an emergency call and he saved the day. He was at my house almost as quick as I called and worked very quick to fix the situation. I won't hesitate to call Roto Rooter again.

Your pricing method requires serious modification that adjusts for time spent by the technician. Before any work began, I was quoted $425 to unclog the drain.Removing the clog in my bathroom drain required approximately 15 minutes of the technician's time. The charge was $376.25 (including a $75 coupon via website). This charge is in contrast to a previous job by this same technician that required a full day's work for which the charge was $700+. I will NEVER recommend Roto-Rooter based on their price gouging methodology.

After much discussion in-house about when to schedule a plumber (and a shower drain that was getting worse and worse), I decided to call Roto-Rooter on a Sunday to just go ahead and get it over with. Though more expensive than if I had taken a day off work during the week and made an appointment well in advance (our experience with other local plumbers, including one company who tried to change our appointment last minute after we made it two weeks in advance...ugh), Wayne (tech # 3112) arrived quickly, gave me an accurate price quote, fixed my drain, and was understanding and not pushy when I told him I couldn't afford to fix a toilet at the same time. (I hate pushy repairmen.) He was clear, courteous, and fixed what needed to be fixed-- what more can you ask? For a fix that needed to be done (and a busy schedule), this worked for me.

Everyone from this company was so kind and professional. From customer service people to the ones who came to our home. They were very transparent and did not try to milk the situation if it didn’t call for it. Doc was very knowledgeable and straight to the point, you could tell he had our interests in mind when dealing with the insurance company. The same can be said of Travis he was very kind and explained things plainly. I will definitely be using them again for any plumbing issues.

I have no way of knowing if the cost was a good value. It was a lot for the time spent, but was also a difficult job to complete. The associates who worked with us on this clean up were all outstanding!

Not only was I able to get a same day appointment when I called, they were here within a couple hours. Issue was trouble shot and resolved quickly and he even showed me a few things I can do to possibly resolve small issues myself in the future.

Highway robber at $377.00 for just a 75' drain de-clogging. The service was good and within their two hour window. The last time I had a service like this it was under $150.00. I really can't believe I paid it but the wife needed the clog taken care of. I honestly wouldn't use Roto- rooter again. There has got to be someone else cheaper than $377.00 for such a simple drain snaking.

We had a clog and called for service on a Sunday. Wayne came out within the hour. We were very happy at the prompt service. He was very nice and put on booties so he wouldn't dirty the floor. He came back on Tuesday to the flange and have the line looked out with a camera. There was a broken line and roots were growing in. They came the following day to repair the pipe. I would use them again. I was very happy.

First the positive. Used for plumbing before with good work (pricey). Very fast response and everyone was friendly. Came out immediately and we identified leak. Started drying, and that's where positive ends. Two independent restoration companies called afterwards stated did not barrier off and remove wet stuff immediately versus fans blowing mold spores all over the house. Did not even move offending appliance until asked to do so. Staples from flooring all left, no cleaning of any surfaces. Had to ask repeatedly to remove molding on floor and only removed small amount. I requested sheet rock be removed that was wet-not done. Limited removal of insulation. Told some wrong information from main office. I was asked to sign water readings that did not occur and on two consecutive days did not show up. One employee was apparently terminated that had previous complaints yet that is who finished our job. If you come to do water reading and ask me to sign but then cannot tell me what it said and have to go back inside??? Lots of other issues but that is enough said.Bottom line water readings still high, two companies have declined to do repairs until situation with water resolved. 15 days into this mess. I hardly ever bother to write reviews and I hate to be so negative but would never ever hire again!!! They should not be in the business of water restoration.Would be no stars if they were not so nice about it.

We had a pipe break in a wall in our house. The waterfall created a considerable amount of damage, and so we had not been having a great week. Late in the day. on a Thursday, we called Roto-Rooter hoping to be able to get a plumber out before the weekend. We were surprised to hear them say they were sending a plumber from Raleigh and he would be there soon.I'd had a bad couple of days, and am slow to get up and down stairs due to a disability. Mustapha was kind and patient with me while he explained things more than once. Less than three hours after our phone call, our water was back on, and I was relieved that we were charged a fair and reasonable price. I also had peace of mind that the work was done expertly.Roto-Rooter will be my only call next time! I am not a pushover, but I do believe that you should commend someone for excellent service, and this is exactly what we got.

Very poor reliability and customer service. I got a delivery window of 8-12pm. I received a call at 1145am alerting me the technician was on the way. After two more calls to the dispatcher who kept telling me he was traveling long distance to get here, they finally show up at 2pm. The two technicians, which by the way is overkill and I guess cause for outrageous pricing, finally got to work on my water heater. They constantly talked about how they were too busy today and were already thinking about the next stop they’d have after mine. Never got an official quote, just pulled a figure out of the blue when his partner couldn’t recall how much it’d be. You know, the ole “How’s $250 sound?” I dunno, how about you tell me what roto rooter charges?!? After the repair, I asked them to perform one diagnostic on a faucet and they said they were uncomfortable fiddling with it, despite their 35 years of combined experience! Awful experience and will never use them again.

I've used Roto-Rooter a few times and they always do a good job. They arrived quickly. For my most recent flush of my main sewer line I checked with a few places before hand and the price was competitive. They took care of the problem in a few hours as well as did some additional work installing a new faucet and the tech that they sent, Ryan, was friendly and helpful.

I called Roto-Rooter because I had blockage in my sewer drain. They were willing to come out for a FREE consultation which is unheard of today. The technician was able to identify the problem quickly and the price was very reasonable. I received AWESOME customer service from the beginning to the end. After my service call I realized I forgot to use the online coupon I called in the customer service representative said sure they can still take the coupon without hesitation she took the coupon. Rotto-Rooter value their customers and I will DEFINITELY call them again!

Robbie was great. I would have been happy having someone come out the next morning, but he wouldn't leave until he took care of it. If I ever need a plumber again. I know who to call.

The local plumber called on the morning of the planned appointment to clear a blocked drain line and cancelled. I called roto-rooter and they were on site in about an hour and finished within 1.5 hours.

We scheduled Roto-Rooter in Raleigh on Saturday night after our showers backed up and we couldn't give our son a bath. They were out the very next morning with no triple, overtime, or weekend rate like most emegency service providers. It took about an hour and the plumber was very polite and neat.

Eugene was wonderful to work with. He was on time. He explained things patiently to us and came up with a plan of action. He unclogged our drain and now it’s working. The free camera service was also good value. Thank you Eugene and Roto Router!

Once approved, they proceeded quickly, carefully and with without causing a mess. Problem resolved in less than 30 minutes from their arrival to their departure. Yay!

Im really unhappy with this company.Ive been trying to get in touch with them about the work that was done at my house. I still have some problems that needs to be fixed and I spoke with the company about can I see a picture of the work that's going to be done at my house and the camera guy said that it would be a charge of $450.00 to see a picture of the work that's need to be done.Thats crazy as hell for a company as big as they are to charge that kind of money after you have already paid $650.00 for work that's done and you just want to see a picture of other work to be done.OMG

Someone was supposed to show up from Roto Rooter between 6-8 at night and they finally got around to showing up at 9:30. They came to check out an issue with my Water Heater and told me there was a bad Heat Exchanger and that the entire unit needed to be replaced for $4,400. Of course I wanted a second opinion. I had someone from Cecil Davis Plumbing come to my house (extremely punctual mind you). They spent two hours diagnosing the problem (with the help of the water heater manufacturer on the phone). I was then informed that all parts that were broken were not only replaceable, but also still under warranty. So, I went from a few thousand dollars to a few hundred solely for labor.Don't trust Roto Rooter!

I called about a small bathroom leak and was happy with the professionalism shown by Ryan and Alex when they got here. They were up front and honest about the needed repair and their pricing. Had the issue been worse, I definitely would have gone with these guys over doing it myself.

Had leak in crawl space, Connor came to house check crawl space, area first floor with 30 minutes he found area of leak even though was within wall. He did call in water sensing folks they came out with special tool checked if there were any other leaks in that area. Repair was done, it did cost more than I thought, and now have them resolving damage flooring. As for Connor the plumber very nice and respectful. Will post more info after all the water damage areas are fixed.

Needed help at my parents house in Apex and Travis was swift and completely professional also showed me some handy things to know! So helpful and CLEAN! Very nice would call again if we needed to!

We had a plumbing emergency (upstairs sink faucet shooting water everywhere, wetting the cabinet/vanity and damaging the first floor ceiling below) on a day with some serious schedule constraints.A team from Roto-Rooter was there within an hour - fixing the faucet, looking at the damage and filing an insurance claim, and then setting up drying equipment. It was amazing. I did call a few other plumbers when the issue began, and no one else had this type of responsiveness. The team was professional, efficient, and kind. They got the work done within the tight schedule and we have a working bathroom again! Thank you!!

Needed an emergency hot water tank replaced. Called on a Saturday and made an appointment for the next day. Was told it would be repaired in one day. Was told to expect a plumber between 8am and noon.Around 830 am some employee showed up to assess and take pictures. Again I asked of this will be resolved today. Was told yes it would be. This man left and told me to expect my plumber soon.Plumber didnt show until close to 2pm. He looked at the work and told me this was a 2 man job and he wasnt going to be able to complete the work today.Wasted my whole Sunday waiting on this work that never got completed. If they had been upfront either day - or showed in the morning at the scheduled time - I would have at least been able to continue to call other plumbers for the work. One more day now without hot water for my family.Will never use this business again and caution to others that are in a pinch.

Service was prompt and professional. It's hard to find reliable, trustworthy repairmen, but I will definately call Roto-Rooter for my plumbing needs from now on. Our sewer line was blocked. John came out and even though he knew it was going to be a dirty job, he took care of the problem and didn't cut corners. I got a good feeling starting with the person that answered my initial call. She sounded friendly and very professional and was able to put me on the schedule for that evening. My problem is fixed and I'm confidant the work was done right.

While trying to change the guts in the toilet, the main supply burst. We called Roto-Rooter at 10:00pm Saturday night and they sent someone out. He was unable to fix as no light under the house. So Sunday morning John Breder showed up. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. Being an insurance adjuster, I'm hard to impress and was impressed with him and the company. He was prompt and had all the parts on the truck. He cleaned up after himself and left the bathroom neat. Would gladly use them again.

It's a Sunday, the 4th of July and I made the bad decision to put canteloupe rind down the garbage disposal. I had water and muck backing up in my kitchen sink and guest coming for dinner. I called Roto-Rooter and they had a plumber to my house in two hours. Victor was polite, knowledgable, spent the necessary time to find the solution, fixed it and then cleaned everything up as if he was never here. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter. If they were this professional and pleasant in an emergency on a holiday, I know I will use them for all future plumbing needs.

Justin and Juan were both incredibly helpful. They took the time to explain the issues with my leak and walk me through my options. Justin went out of his way to make sure my leak was repaired properly. I’ll be using Roto-Rooter again for any future plumbing issues.

Erick was a huge help when we found water bubbling in our wall of our laundry room. He was able to quickly locate the leak in our hot water line replace it and help us begin to have a somewhat normal Monday. He was extremely informative when it came to explain how the process would work in locating the problem, fixing the problem and the next steps to getting our laundry back to normal. We had a leaky toilet and called roto-rooter for a quick fix. We scheduled an appointment online, and got a call a day early. They were able to fit us in a day early at a time convenient for us. John, our plumber, was knowledgeable and very nice. He answered all of our questions and fixed the leak quickly.

There were communications issues and one technical issue with my water heater installation on the day of installation, which were frustrating. I spoke with a manager, JE, and he was very helpful, including with follow up, so I've changed my previous 3-star review to a 5-star for customer service.

Took them two visits to do a very simple job. Charged a ridiculous outrageous amount of money. Will never use Roto router again ever. Will tell all my friends of my experience.

I set up an appointment online first thing in the morning and within one hour Scott (2062) showed up at my door. He was very personable and courteous. They did a fine job unclogging the main drain from the building but charged far more than makes any sense given the amount of time & materials used. I've had plumbers working for almost a full day for not much more they charged for about an hour. $468. They used a pipe snake, no materials.

We had a serious issue with our water pressure. The pressure had dropped so low that for the most part we did not have functioning water. I contacted Roto-Rooter and they responded within a timely manner.They replaced a faulty pressure restriction valve which did not completely solve the problem.We were not sure if the problem was with the water meter or in the lines.Our tech (Wayne-3112) told me he was going to stay until he had it fixed and we had water. He continued to work the issue well into the evening until he was able to solve the problem.Now the pressure is as good as it was when the house was first built. We were extremely happy with the resultsRoto-Rooter (Wayne) was extremely professional, friendly, and courteous. And most of all they were patient and worked to task and not to time.I will not hesitate to contact Roto-Rooter in the future with any of my plumbing needs.

When my hot water heater rusted through and ran dry in December 2013, Roto-Rooter came out promptly. In the same visit, I had one running toilet and two leaking faucets replaced. I was so pleased that I called Roto-Rooter again. I received an appointment exactly when I needed it. Today Luke Liana (Tech #644) replaced the remaining fixtures: one toilet and one faucet. Luke was very professional and quite personable. I'm very happy with Luke's work. I also appreciate the phone call 30 minutes before technician arrival.

Our water main valve handle became inoperative Thursday evening with the water turned off. Called Roto-Rooter immediately, and the plumber arrived in less than an hour. The faucet was old, and he had to get parts from Lowes. The repair was difficult but he completed the job that evening. We had our water back and a serviceable cut off we can rely on.

We have used this company twice and both times felt like the technician was more of a salesman than a tech. OUTRAGEOUS pricing which we didn’t fall for. I hope they don’t take advantage of the elderly or less knowledgeable customers. PS: I hardly never write negative reviews.

I called Roto-Rooter of Raleigh about a leak around 1pm and they said they'd have a plumber out to me by 3:30pm. Then it moved to 6:30pm. And then to 8:30pm. By 9:30pm the service department said we'd need to reschedule but they gave me a 15% discount since it was so busy.They'd given me a 9-11am window the next day, and he was here by 9:45am. He gave me an estimate for a best and worse case scenario and tried the simple things first, which I appreciated. Eventually though, he ended up cutting several square feet of drywall though multiple holes in my ceiling trying to find the correct pipe... i'm going to have to have significant drywall work done to repair it (they don't provide this service).The work also required that two technicians be available (due to it being on multiple floors), however, the another plumber wasn't available. So I (who happened to be home with the flu) was up on a ladder to assist. Which was nice, only in that it saved me from paying the other person $199 per hour. Part costs were minimal, labor costs seemed a bit excessive- though the gentleman was very nice and polite.Overall, I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the experience and would probably look elsewhere next time.

My garbage disposal was making weird noises so I called roto-rooter and they were able to come out the next day! They fix the issue within fifteen minutes and the garbage disposal is working great! Overall, very professional and responsive.

Poor customer service. Had an appt for 12-2 in afternoon. Receive call at 1 the tech Eason the way. No one showed up so called back at 2. Dispatch said Carl would call right away. No call but Carl shore up at 2:30 said he was busy. I showed him the cleanout drain was backed and said the fee would be $450 plus tax! I told him I thought that was very high as I had only paid $175 about 2 years ago. Carl said he didn’t make the prices but could give me a break and do it for $375. During the work he said I needed a connection fixed because it was probably broken. That price would be $3500 plus tax. I told him it was expensive and I would have to think it over. Carl then said he was starting his own company and could do it much cheaper. He gave me his direct contact number !!!! Not feeling very positive about the whole transaction ….::::.

Found I had a busted water heater in my crawl space which I noticed after my crawl space was completely flooded with water (6-12). Called Roto Rooter Monday morning. Was told technician would arrive between 9:00am-1:00pm with a 30 min call ahead. Got a call at 8:00am and technician arrived before 8:30am. Technician got Water Restoration involved. Water was pumped out in a couple of hours, fans left to dry crawl space out. Technician swapped out h/w heater quickly despite haven't less than 36 of clearance to work in and temps over 95 degrees. Price was alright but work was great!

He solved a difficult problem and implemented a solution that solved a leak The work he did was professional and he cleaned the work area and left is in perfect condition. Roto-Rooter has outstanding warranties - this service call was for a problem we had serviced almost a full year ago and they honored it completely. While washing clothes late in the day, my toilet started overflowing, so I had to stop using all water. I called 3 places, and roto-rooter was the only one who could come out that evening. Steve (#1116) was friendly and knowledgeable. He found a broken flapper in the pipes under the house very quickly, and fixed the problem temporarily while he got the part that was needed. He returned quickly, and made the permanent fix. I found them to be prompt, courteous both on the phone and in person, and reasonably priced.

Our Roto-Rooter tech, Wayne Newsome - 3112 - was awesome. He assessed the situation, gave us an estimate including how much time the repair would take, and finished the repair on time with no additional fees or charges. I am completely satisfied with the service he provided.

My water bill had jumped $30.00 and I thought I had a toilet that wouldn't stop running. Roto-Rooter came to the rescue, determined the problem- small leak in floater--didn't increase costs with unnecessary parts, just replaced what wasn't working. We had an unusual problem. The skimmer on one of our pool drains got clogged. (Long story, but let's say the frog caught in the line made it thru!). Sue came out and within one hour got the rubber stopper out and the line was unclogged. He was very professional and knew exactly what to do. Sue was patient and worked it out. Before he got started he answered questions we had about our broken garbage disposal. Had roots growing in the sewer clean out tap. They had a tough time digging down to get the pipe out. The clean out tap was located in a space with limited access. Had all the utilities come out and mark where lines ran before they started. Had to put on a new T section and new pipe and flush out the line after the root removal. Good job!

My experience with Roto Rooter wasn't that good. I had a leak which caused water damage to the flooring in my house. Long story short, they were able to resolve the problem, but missed multiple appointments and never notified me when they weren't planning to show up. I also felt like I dealt with dozens of people, rather than just having a single contact or two, which led to me having to re-explain things and not know who to go to. In summary, the quality of the work was okay, but the communication was lousy.

Wayne (tech# 3112) was fantastic! The hot water line to my kitchen sink was not behaving properly and the faucet also began to leak inside the sink cabinet. In no time hot water was restored, the leak was fixed, and dishes are now getting cleaned. Oh, and I started this process around 7:30pm, by 9:30pm everything was fixed! Great service and attitude, thank you!

Technician was polite, timely (called 90 minutes prior to arrival to notify me of expected time AND arrived with 5 minutes of designated time, willing to thoroughly explain what he was doing at every step, thorough assessment, identify the issues, and did what was required to have sinks, washing machine, etc draining with ease.

Worst coordination I’ve ever experienced. I had water damage and apparently you have to work with water damage folks separate from the plumbing team. No central PM or quarterback that helped me coordinate everything. The water restoration team would let a dispatcher know they needed plumbing. The major miscommunications three times sending plumbers out at the wrong times and for the wrong reason.The biggest issue is internal communication between dispatch and the multiple teams that had to be engaged.I will never use these guys again.

I called up and they CS was super helpful and friendly. The tech came by the same day (Ryan Disorbo) and he let me know the situation, explained everything very clearly and showed me the issues and then gave me several options for what can be done. Really good experience.

I contacted Roto-rooter to replace a water heater. Nate Elwell was dispatched to fix a problem which the initial installation had left the day before. Nate is very experienced and professional. He came on time and started work immediately(this sounds trivial, but some other plumbers are simply always late for appointment). While fixing the problem, he discovered additional problems that the installation was not done properly. A pair of union connectors were missing, and the blue container regulator that's on top of the water heater was installed in wrong position. Nate took the time to correct all these problems. He also replaced PVC pipe with copper pipe to make the plumbing durable and high quality. Nate also hauled away the old water heater and card board. Now the water heater is working.Nate is absolutely the best plumber I will recommend to anyone. Roto-Rooter is stronger because of the best people like Nate. We had a clog on Carolina Panther playoff Sunday. Water backing up into sinks and toilets. Called Roto-Rooter and within 1 hr, Junior arrived! He found the problem within minutes and cleaned out the tree roots that caused the problem. He was professional and friendly. We were back watching the game in no time! Thanks Junior!

You guys were basically life savers for us. We had some serious mold issues occurring and couldn't identify the source of the leak. It had been raining for several days so I thought it was a roof leak and water was running along one of the pipes in the wall. The mold damage was extensive enough to destroy two book shelves, three CD towers, half a wall worth of dry wall, and our carpet. Needless to say, I was panicking that three roofers I had tried to contact were all booked out three to four weeks. One call to Roto-rooter, and you had a plumber at my house in two hours, it took about another ten minutes to diagnose it was a cracked sewer line, and about two hours to draft up an estimate and replace the pipe. After two days, I'm happy to report, the bleeding has stopped but we have extensive repair work to do. While my circumstances aren't very good in the short run, you guys were step one in getting our life back to normal. I can't say enough good things about you guys. Keep up the good work. Luke explained the two step process he would use to solve my emergency water leak problem. He first would diagnose the source of the leak and then he would give me a price for the fix. The work was excellent and he left the work site clean.

Needed a hot water heater looked at/repaired. I was scheduled for an appointment the next day between 4 and 8pm. I received a call that afternoon at 3pm that they didn't actually have anyone that could look at it that day and would have to reschedule it for the next day between 8am and 12pm. Why I was scheduled in the first place if they didn't have the crew I can't say but I agreed even though I would have to leave work early to be home. I received a call at 7:30 that morning that they were on their way and would be there within the hour. I left work to go home and nobody arrived until 9-9:30am. I was told the whole thing would need to be replaced. I paid $1600 to install a tank ($636 in parts, $903 for a couple hours of labor, and tax). The tank itself can be bought at Lowe's for $389. That seems like a pretty outrageous markup. Everyone I've mentioned the price too says they've never had to pay so much to replace a tank. I can definitely say I will not be using them again.

We had a hot water tank flood and they were out to start in a matter of hours. They worked quickly and professionally to dry everything out. The mitigation tech went above and beyond dropping off my rug at the cleaners and always kept me updated with pictures of progress because they did work while we were out of town. They also worked very well with my insurance. I obviously hope we never have a disaster again but if we do we will definitely call them.

My techs name was Travis, he seemed very knowledgeable and was very friendly. He was not able to fix my issue due to faulty equipment and offered to replace it. We decided to try ourselves and was able to direct me in the right direction.

This was our first time using Roto Rooter and it was great. The technician that came out, Aaron, was super helpful. He took the time to explain things to me and walk me through the different options of water heaters, what would work well for our home, and the difference in models. When he came back out to install our new choice he was super efficient and professional, along with the tech that came with him (I don’t remember his name, sorry!). They did the work in the amount of time they had promised and cleaned up after they were done. Lastly, Aaron came out a third time to meet the City inspectors and his job passed with flying colors. I’m sure it was the attention to detail that he had throughout the job. Would highly recommended to anyone looking for a new plumber.

We were very pleased with our service technician Steve Balogac, he came out today (New Year’s day) and quickly identified our drainage problem. He's very knowledgeable, also very pleasant, and restored our system to working order within a few minutes. Steve’s awesome!

John came out to discuss our options for a new water heater. He was knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the details, and I decided to go with his recommendation. Better yet, he and his team were able to install the new water heater the very same day even though that was not originally the plan!

I had them come into my home to do water restorations due flooding upstairs. They ended up removing things like walls, that did not need to be removed. They also took up carpet, but did not remove it; removed doors that I can no longer find where the screws are; and removed part of the flooring that is downstairs. Part of my downstairs has flooring, the other half, I am walking on concrete. I feel as if they intentionally did extra stuff to get paid more. I would not recommend this company. I will post pictures later of how they ruined my home.

Drain cleaned fine. Paid for camera inspection. After several weeks had to call them back and push for the inspection, which I still haven't got. I am being told the camera service is a free perk. Yet it is included in my invoice, which is quite a bit more than just a drain cleaning from another plumber. Was not my first choice, won't be my first choice in future

We first hired a plumber to take a look at the faucet of our bath tub (there's no leak, just making it was installed correctly). He unscrewed it but couldn't fully remove it, so we asked him to put it back,. He told us he can screw it back and chalk it but couldn't guarantee that it doesn't leak, and wanted to charge us a sum of money for the work.So, we contacted Roto-rooter and Jack Fried (Technician #330) came. He was very good at communicating and understood exactly our needs very well. Not only did he easily install the bathtub faucet (that the first plumber couldn't seem to do), but he also installed another set of faucet over one sink. He is very professional and confident with his work. We were very satisfied with his work and service, and will ask Jack Fried of Roto-rooter to come back again if we have new plumber work.

Excellent service. Showed up on time, got the job done even though it took 4 different techs with different equipment. Came back at 8:30 Thanksgiving eve to complete the job because they had to wait for me to install a sewer line clean out in the yard. They did everything that I could ask of them, all for exactly the flat fee they quoted me in the beginning.

Tried to fix a leak in our shower ourselves...bad idea.. had to keep water turned off to the house ....contacted roto rooter and they had someone out the next day. Starky did a super job replacing the shower knob control (I guess that is what you call it) we live in an over 100 year old house and anytime there is a repair we usually run into bigger problems. This job was done with minimal mess. While turning our water back on Starky asked about a pulsating action with the water and a noise if 2 faucets were on at the same time. He told us he could fix that. It was the pressure reducing value. So we got another appointment for the next morning and Starky came and went under our house and very professionally replaced the valve. I appreciate that you are called to confirm the time frame and if a technician is running behind that you are contacted and given an estimated arrival. Thank you!

Great service yesterday from David Guin with Roto-Rooter. On a snow day with the kids home from school, the downstairs toilet overflowed (due to issues that we have with an overflow valve in the front yard). This is NEVER any fun. Roto-Rooter had David out to my home within an hour from my phone call. The price charged for clearing out the main sewer line was more affordable than other companies in the Raleigh area have charged me in the past. David, the technician, was professional, courteous, and fast. He left the area in the yard in the same condition that he found it. Problem solved! I would definitely call Roto-Rooter again for any plumbing needs.

I’d like to give a huge shout out to Antonio and Chris. They were here daily including weekends to check upon the drying process after water damage. They also did great job removing mold due to that damage. They were reachable anytime needed. Did an outstanding job and we are very satisfied!

The technician who came out was professional and did a good job repairing my sink drain. My complaint was with how long it took someone to get here. Atechnician was scheduled to come at 10:00 am but it was after 5:00 pm when he arrived. Rotor rooter did keep me informed of the delays and gave me a $50.00 discount for the inconvenience.

I had a clog in my old pipes therefore my bathtub was full to top with dirty brown water. I called at 7:00am and my technician Wayne arrived in less than an hour. Wayne was very thorough - he explained what was happening BEFORE he began working on the clog. Once he cleared the clog, he washed out my bathtub. What a great example of humility- I know he doesn’t get paid to clean. We checked every drain in the house together before he left. This positive experience certainly changed my mind about plumbing. Thank you Wayne for your patience and kindness.

Very prompt service and our issue was resolved to our satisfaction! Was disappointed with some of the things we were charged for: a trip to the hardware store ($100) and an upcharge on the part. Kinda felt like we were being penalized for him not having what he needed.

Jason did a fantastic job today. The toilet flushed perfectly, needing no roto rooting, so we showed him the sink drain. We own a ‘64 ranch home in which the drains have probably never been cleaned out (definitely not in our 20 years) and Jason said, “No problem.” 30 minutes later he had everything put back in place and cleaned up after he’d pulled more sludge out than was imaginable. Eugene came out quickly on a Sunday to evaluate a potential clog in our main sewer line. He was incredibly friendly and personable. He worked efficiently, took the time to explain what he was thinking/doing and was considerate of how much individual services would cost. Could not be happier with his service.

Justin came out late on a Monday night to provide an estimate, took the time to explain what all need to be done not only to replace the water heater but also get things up to code. While the time in which Roto-Rooter arrived was far off from the two hour scheduled window of time, the service once arrived was excellent. Our technician in particular was terrific.

Had low pressure in my house, and after having a different company come out without resolving, I called Roto-Rooter so see if they could give me a second opinion. They completely missed my original appointment window by almost 3 hours, so I rescheduled for the following day. Austin S came out, made a quick assessment, tweaked my PRV slightly, and the issue was resolved in 5 minutes (note that the prior plumbing team actually made it worse by doing the opposite).Giving this review 5-stars only because of Austin's professionalism, thoroughness, and attention, and not because of Roto-Rooter in general (probably more like 3 stars for making me waste an entire afternoon for a missed appointment).

I had two Roto-Rooter teams to handle two different problems yesterday. One problem was broken/leaking outside sill cocks, and the second problem was clogged underground drain pipes that caused basement seepage. In both cases the workers were professional, worked fast, communicated well, and fixed the problems to my satisfaction. In both cases, the price was astronomically high. I accepted their estimates, because we have a chronic family medical situation, and I could not afford the time to search for the best price. Plus, I needed to stop the water leaks before more damage was done. So -- I am happy with the work, but in the future I will plan for work ahead of time, and I will never call Roto-Rooter again. After talking with friends, I believe that the prices were at least 40% higher than the going rates.

I am giving 5 stars for Ryan Disorbo. Honestly last week we had Roto Rooter come out and I would have given you 1 star as the phone call to get service was painful and then the tech was not at all helpful. However today was a completely different experience. The phone call was quick and efficient and Ryan was so knowledgeable and able to explain everything and come back to me with a quote for work. Mostly good experience; read entire review for explanation of the rating...Our cold water intake line beneath the house ruptured, spewing water all over the place. I cut off the supply at the street, then set about finding someone to fix the line. We normally try to give preference to local small businesses, but nobody was available on short notice. So we called Roto-Rooter. They had a guy out here within 30 minutes.Said guy's name is Herbert, and Herbert is awesome! He was prompt, friendly, professional, did a great job fixing the line, re-tested it with the water back on, showed me the repair, and was careful not to track mud into the house after working in our dampened crawl space. I then showed him our leaky bathtub faucet too, figuring he could take care of that while here. He had to drive an hour to get part needed for the faucet, but even so honored the original estimate he'd given for the work. If I were rating the experience on Herbert alone, it would be 5-star for sure.Only problem was that he stated someone else would be out as well, to assess for water damage, in case we decide to file an insurance claim -- but that person never showed up at all. So despite the excellent work of the plumber, it felt like we slipped through the cracks a bit in terms of follow-up.

Fast response and on a weekend. Great friendly phone support and assured me that they don’t charge “night and weekend” rates. I knew it would be a little pricey vs fixing myself but was in a rush. Quick work with no problem. My only complaint was two $5 fittings marked up to $50 and the tech laughing and telling me I should have gone to Lowe’s and bought my own parts. He thought it was extremely funny to gouge me after it was all said and done.

Damon was the best! He worked his tail off trying to locate the source of our basement flood. Finally figured it out - hip hip hooray

Overall very good experience. Was able to get service provider out the following morning (<24 hours after initial request). Plumber was professional, friendly, and capable. Answered all questions and provided information and recommendations for future use/issues. Also got us set up with the water damage cleanup side of the business. That work is currently ongoing and will review that separately. Overall I was very happy with the service I received.

He was a professional at all times, willingly and expertly answered my questions. As a result, I am more knowledgeable and will be better able to troubleshoot any future issues.

Came out very promptly to inspect a leak in my ceiling. Work is not done yet because we need to access the unit above mine to find the source, but Justin was very knowledgeable and explained things clearly. On Memorial Day I called for service for a clogged drain & toilet. One person took the request and someone else called to tell me when to expect the technician. Both of them were professional, informative and helpful. When Carl arrived the first thing he did was determine that the toilet didn't need attention. It had cleared up on it's own. He then diagnosed the sink issue & gave us an estimate. He explained what was wrong, why it happened, how he would fix it and how to avoid future problems. He was clear, professional and helpful. We will not hesitate to use this company again.

I rarely write reviews, but the plumber who came to our house from roto-rooter ignored my assessment, completely misdiagnosed the plumbing issue, and charged me $175 for 20 minutes. He sent me off to get our septic people to pump the tank and as soon as they arrived they showed me how nothing was wrong with the tank but there was a clog in the pipes coming from the house into the tank, as I had originally told the roto-rooter plumber, who dismissed me. I feel frustrated and cheated by the experience.

Called because of bubbling/burping in tub and sinks when toilets flushed. Only looked at clean-out/pipe in front, charged $450 and quoted $9,500 to replace line.Another plumber came and found two more clean-outs under house.Cleaned them out for $225 and no more bubbling/burping.

Good job however we asked him to install shutoff valves before he started but he did not. His excuse was I have to cut cabinet more which was fine. It should have been done when he was under the cabinet installing the lines for the faucet. Just didn't do it. But we paid the same amount he quoted us.

Roto-Rooter got to me quickly this morning, to handle my sudden water heater meltdown. Both Aaron and Kanji were great. My issues were diagnosed quickly, and a new water heater installed. I was kept totally up to date on what was going on, and feel very good with the work they did. It is so comforting to know that there is a company this professional doing 24/7 work.

Zach was professional and thorough with his description of his work and gave suggestions on how to prevent our sewer from backing up again. Worked to approximately midnight on a Saturday night to clear the clogged line so we could use our water and then retuned Sunday to finish up the job. Our family appreciates his hard work!

I know it was Friday and all.. but called 12:30afternoon, waited til 6:37pm..shouldn't hold people like this if you can calculate things.... and if the techs are already fully booked.. why make a customer wait and wait... eventually can't even make it to the time they said they would?....... really sad..

Herbert Gilmore did a great job under the house. It was a bit expensive (plumbing work seems to be). He was very professional and answered any questions we had. There was only one problem. When the drain line was being cut out, the vertical line from the bottom of the sink dropped about 4 inches to the floor. Luckily, it had an expandable section that held until after we tested the line by running some water. We noticed it the next day and were able to secure the drain and had no need to call for help. In all, it was a good experience.

Guys were great. Had a water main break and guys came out at 730 and had it fixed within minutes. I had already dug out around the pipe which helped but the techs were super nice and really quick and thorough with the job.

Travis came late on a Saturday night to fix a clogged toilet on our second floor that had backed up onto the bathroom tiling and gotten into the floor behind the wall and started to leak through to the first floor ceiling. He was quick in checking in its cause and was made us conscious of what different options to check might cost and showed us what snaking tools we could buy to help with the problem in the future. He got us our consult with the restoration crew from Roto Rooter set up for the next day. Travis did an excellent job.

I called and made an appointment for Wednesday morning from 8-12 but the plumber didn't show up until after 5pm. I bought two new toilets for him to replace and had him re-set a 3rd toilet that was moved. This service to me was too expensive for $1100 especially since he didn't take the old toilets away and didn't test the new ones to make sure they worked.

I have worked with Roto Rooter and with Wayne multiple times in my small business as well as in my home and have always been very satisfied with the quality of work, the short time it takes to solve the problem, and the professionalism of the technicians. I will continue to use Roto Rooter in the future!

We are very happy with the work to replace all our water lines. The workers did a fantastic job and was very polite and courteous. We would absolutely call on Roto-Rooter again for our plumbing needs.

We contracted Roto Rooter to hook up our gas grill to our gas line this weekend and Joseph Young came out to provide a quote. The process was much more complicated than excepted but Joseph was prompt and thorough. He went to Home Depot twice to get the parts need and hooked up the grill. The price we paid was definitely worth it. He was very patient and fast. I would highly recommend Joseph for any plumbing needs!

The technician did a great job and I’m happy with his service. However the price was an outage. Over $700 to clear out a drainage pipe and an hours worth of labor is contemptible. I had to have it done right away and felt like I didn’t have much choice but I’m very very upset by the cost.

Then Lesmond #927 was on time, thoughtful and helped me pick my best option- on a Sunday! I didn’t have to take off work! We had an issue with our kitchen sink because the water pressure was not normal Danny came out and diagnosed everything and was very upfront about information and the potential problems and costs we may have to have. Luckily, it was a quick valve replacement and he was in and out in no time. Very satisfied.

The plumber came from next door a while ago, accessed my faucet (neck was stuck) and told me to call Delta for a replacement. Got a replacement ( saving me $$) called for the same technician at 4:30 today and by 6:15 my new faucet was swiveling:). I'm a happy customer!!!

The technician showed up 1.5 hour late. Came in for 4 minutes, evaluated the repair, quoted a price and a 20 minute repair time. Proceed to spend 45 minutes sitting in the shop van preparing an invoice. Then did the 20 minute job. Toilet has not stopped running since he left.

Excellent service! Free estimates, unlike the other companies we called. The cost estimate was also lower than the competition's, and the final price was even lower than that since the technician completed quicker than expected. Our technician was very polite and helpful. Will certainly use again and would recommend them.

After getting two other quotes for well over $700, I called Roto Rooter. I expected to hear a similar number and was happy to hear half the price. I’m positive that the other two plumbing companies saw me as a stupid woman and wanted to swindle me. I can appreciate the high quality and cost effective service I received from Roto Rooter. ALSO, he not only cleaned his mess up, but then scrubbed my tub clean from all residue, scrub brush and shower cleaner. So impressed with the all around service!

Quick response and good diagnostics price seems very high. $450 to get rid of a clog where we already knew where it was, quoted $5500 to have a pipe 15ft pipe replaced. Think the guys that came out were wonderful and efficient but do not like the price and would not recommend to someone if they asked for a plumber

Austin with Roto Rooter did an amazing job replacing my leaking water heater and his professionalism and customer service was truly exemplary to say the least. Austin did not only do the installation but was insightful and willing to educate me on the issues that needed to be address, as well as patiently explain to me how the overall system operated so that I was better prepped for my own preventative maintenance. I got way more than a new water heater but knowledge about what makes it tick.In addition to his openness to educate he was overall genuinely easy going and a joy to talk with. He made the whole experience which normally would be aggravating and overwhelming more personable and engaging. I could not speak highly enough to my friends and family about the experience and the superb service that Austin provided. I hope to avoid any future plumbing issues in the future but without a doubt I know who to call when it occurs.

Excellent service from beginning to end. I called around 9am and someone was at the house by 11am. John, our technician, was very thorough and knowledgable. We would definitely be calling Roto-Rooter for all of our future plumbing needs (not that we're hoping for any more problems!).

Really enjoyed my experience with roto rooter. I had a brooken toilet situation, come to find out it was both my toilets failing on us. Jack Fried was very friendly and gave me some great advice. He came by in the middle of the night, ready to return the next morning bright and early to help and solve our situation. By far the nicest plumber we ever had to deal with.

Terrible experience. I was told they were going to call me before they arrived to tell me their eta but did not. When Todd Bryant from Roto-Rooter arrived, he looked at the leak for 30 seconds (no exaggeration) before telling me it would be $1200. He explained nothing, it was terrible customer service, and not a business I would work with. Since I had prior knowledge to the issue of needing a patch and the cost associated, we obviously did not use them. Luckily, I got an estimate from Bizzy Bee Plumbing for $300 (who I could't rave about more-they're amazing, I'd highly recommend them) and we obviously used Bizzy Bee and the leak is fixed! Again, did NOT use Roto-Rooter and would not recommend them to anyone.

John called to confirm that he was en route, arrived on time, assessed the problem, obtained the appropriate materials, fixed the problem and cleaned up the work area. The work was excellent, and John was pleasant and personable to work with. The solution to the problem saved us time, money and extra unneeded expense.

I had an excellent experience with the guys at Roto-Rooter. After initially being unable to unclog my outdoor drain (there ended up being a massive root in the pipe), they were able to get someone to come by that evening and replace the pipe under the yard. The two guys (927 and 57) worked in the rain and in the dark to complete the work.

Called about a clogged washing machine drain pipe and they said they could not give a quote over the phone, would have to give it when they got here after they saw the problem. When he got here he looked at the pipe and said he could snake it for $334. This is a basic clog, he did not inspect it with a camera or anything, just looked at the pipe and said $334 to snake it. Seriously, if your clog services start at $334 for the most basic service, don't waste people's time with an appointment and making them wait on you to get here. You may be able to rip some people off with that charge, and I know you think you have a better chance of having someone agree to that insane price once you've weaseled your way into their house, but my recommendation would be to not call these folks in the first place unless you want to pay well over double the market rate. The plumber was very polite, I think tactic is a company policy.

I had a leak in the crawl space of my home on 10/17/12. I'm a repeat Roto-Rooter customer because I continue to receive quality plumbing repair and excellent customer service. They willing work with me until the job is done. I highly recommend the team at Roto-Rooter to anyone in need of plumbing service.

One toilet's tank stopped filling, another's was making noise. Erik quickly identified the issues, fixed them, and explained what was needed. I will definitely have him come back for other repairs when needed.

Overall good work with team members showing up when they said they were going to, and took care of business. There are two reasons I can't give 4 or 5 stars. First - after promising the estimate wouldn't change, even if they ran into something unexpected, they ran into something unexpected and tacked on 500+ more dollars to the bill. Second, despite verbally telling us that there was a 10 year warranty on the work, putting a 10 year warranty on the estimate, the final bill said 5 year warranty. We were told to just change it and initial, and they would do the same, but they never initialed next to the change. In short, the work itself was great, but the professionalism and organization was lacking.

I'm a superintendent for a commercial general contractor, and while remodeling a bank we had a sewege back up in the middle of the night. David Guin (tech#2379) arrived promptly, and cleared the drain in a timely manner. As an added bonus, he stuck around and helped me clean up the mess. In any case, I had a good experience with this company and would use them again.

Don't waste your time calling anyone else...Roto-Rooter provided immediate and professional service. Our tech, Kevin #1718, showed up on short notice- at 9:00 PM and did not leave till everything was perfect.He even made some suggestions that we can look into at a later date.We felt sure the minute he stepped in our house-that he knew what he was doing.He got the water problem fixed and our water back on in a timely manner.He covered his feet coming in and out of our house on a rainy night and left the kitchen clean.We have called Roto-Rooter before and will continue to call when we need help---we suggest you do the same.

I called Roto-Rooter today (Sunday) with a leaking double check valve assembly back flow preventer for my irrigation system. David, Certified Master Plumber, showed up at my front door within 2 hours. He was friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable. He inspected the valve and said that the problem is most likely a build up sediment in the valve. He took the valve apart, cleaned out all of the components and rebuilt the valve on the spot. It was fixed within 30 minutes, and saved me a bunch of money vs replacing the valve. I could not be happier with the service I received today from David (Tech #2379) at Roto-Rooter in Raleigh, NC.

I had water back up into my bathtub and toilet late on Saturday evening as hurricane Florence was hitting the area. The water overflowed into my garage and bathroom. Roto Rooter was able to get someone out Sunday morning to snake the line clearing the blockage and replace my cracked toilet. They also sent the water restoration team to get pictures to file with my insurance, as the dry wall will have to be replaced in both the bathroom and garage. Roto Rooter provided fans and dehumidifiers for both impacted areas to start drying everything out and prevent further damage. I am so thankful that they were able to get out so quickly, make repairs and help get my insurance claim filed. Everyone was very helpful and reassuring, which I really appreciated in my very stressed out state.

Zach was awesome! Two unions had burst and the crawlspace was like a wading pool by the time I discovered it and shut the water off. He went in and saw what a mess it was, just replaced an entire run of pipe in no time. So nice to have water again!

Our toilet backed up two days before Christmas, and after calling a few others we were worried that no one would be able to respond until after the holidays.
