I would absolutely recommend Jake The Plumber. We needed a shower control replaced in our master bathroom. There was no access panel to the rear, and they had to cut into sheet rock to get the access. Stu was very careful and took the tile on the other side of the wall off without causing any damage. I was able to re-use these tiles when when we closed the wall back up. Just an example of the careful, excellent work Jake the Plumber does. Our job was finished in 3 hours and works perfectly.

Derek communicated well with me, asking the appropriate questions, explaining what he was doing, and sharing what he believed was causing some of the issues I was having. He cleaned out my basement (laundry room) drain and also cleaned my main drain.

I had my floor drain cleaned in the basement and Right Away was impressive in that they placed a new plug on the floor drain and got it to operate correctly whereas the last plumber cleaned it out and left it working improperly (the one way valve). I also had my estimate of $225 reduced to $165 due to the drain being a non-central drain and this was brought to my attention by Right Away; they are very honest! Will certainly use again. Im giving 5 stars for the technician that came out to my house, his name was NIKOLA. He was great very professional. But $437 for a drain cleaning is steep.

Honest review here. Just had Matt's come out to add the plumbing so we could turn a single sink vanity into a double sink vanity, replace the shower/tub cartridge in that same bathroom, and install a new water softener. The first two parts went fairly smoothly but the third was rough. They had trouble installing the water softener because an O-ring was slipping and water kept spilling out. After a couple hours, they figured it out and left for the day. The next day, we woke up and there was salt water all over our unfinished basement floor. The brine tank was discharging from the overflow valve. We called them up that morning and they had the same guy out right away. He ended up finding out a defect in the head of the BrassMaster water softener. After talking to that company's support line, BrassMaster sent a specialist out and replaced the head of the softener. So I guess we're glad they use a local, responsive water softener manufacturer. This seemed to be the end of it, except that we were no longer getting hot water in our master shower. It stayed like this for a weekend and we called again on Monday and they sent the owner, Matt, out that afternoon. He found that a cap, but not a cartridge, was put on our new shower cartridge and that the hot and cold water were mixing here before continuing on to our master shower. He put the cartridge on here and we were good to go. Easy fix! Just to be thorough, he checked out everything else and noticed that the intake/outtake of the water softener were swapped--old softeners often are and although the original guy noticed this when getting an estimate he forgot when he did the work. So Matt changed the copper pipes to go into the proper places. Overall, this was a bit of a headache, but Amber was always very pleasant at the office and never cast doubt or deflected blame when we said something wasn't right. Matt's was also very responsive in addressing our concerns and despite that they came out on 3 separate days and multiple hours beyond what was expected, they never asked for another dime. Btw, we had gotten another quote from a chain before this and Matt's quote was $400 cheaper than even the membership rate that we could have gotten from the other guys. I wanted to write this without a lot of slant and just tell it as it is, so hopefully someone finds this helpful.
